Because saying "I love you" was not the only way of telling someone you love them.

Even when Seungmin got into his car about twenty minutes later, Soojin still hadn't read let alone reply to his text. 

Rightfully so, of course – it was nearing two in the morning, it was only right for Soojin to be asleep at this time. Yet Seungmin couldn't help but feel bad. She was having a bad day, probably hoping to vent or at least let off some steam, and he wasn't there for her. He knew she wouldn't mind a bit, being an idol herself, but it didn't make it feel less awful. 

He turned to Felix who was halfway dozing off on the seat next to him. "Do you mind if we take a detour to drop me off?" 

"No, go ahead," his roommate mumbled, not even bothering to open his eyes. "Where you going? To Soojinnie?" 

"Yeah. No need to wait up." 

"Spare me the details," the man chuckled. 

Soojin had given Seungmin the keys for both her room and her front door to ensure he would never have problems getting in at any hours. But there's still some lights on when he arrived at the dormitory, so instead of using his set of keys, he decided to knock so not to startle whoever girl was still up. 

Jaehee opened the door for him, eyes widening in surprise – though fortunately a pleasant one – when she saw Seungmin. "Seungmin oppa! Come in. I think the unnie's already asleep, though." 

"She is," came another voice from the common area. Zoa was also still awake, nursing a steaming cup in both hands. "She seemed pretty exhausted, oppa, so she went to bed early." 

"No worries," Seungmin said to the girls. "I'm just gonna check on her real quick, if that's okay?" 

"Sure! Go ahead." 

After bidding the girls goodnight,  Seungmin made his way down the hall to where he knew Soojin's door was. It was unlocked – she hardly ever locked it since she trusted the girls that much – so Seungmin let himself in easily. He found her sprawled on the small couch by the wall, both legs tucked underneath her as if she'd fallen asleep while still sitting. Judging from the way one of her hand was dangling off the cushions and how her phone was on the floor, she hadn't meant to fall asleep. Maybe her exhaustion got the better of her. With a sigh, Seungmin stepped closer and got to work. 

He plugged in her phone first because it only had two percent of battery remaining. Then he took off her glasses and, when she didn't stir one bit, gently shook her shoulder to see how deep in sleep she was. Since she stayed still, he deduced it was safe enough to carry her to her bed without waking her up, so he did just that. Thankfully she'd managed to change clothes and wash up before surrendering to slumber, so all that was remaining for Seungmin to do is to tuck her into her blanket properly. 

Once all was done, Seungmin sat on the edge of her bed, watching her sleeping figure while going through an internal debate between going back to his place and staying the night here. Both he and Soojin didn't have anything scheduled until past noon that day, so staying surely was tempting especially because they'd get to sleep in for a few hours – except he'd promised his morning to go check out the new breakfast place with Lee Minho. 

But then he saw a half-eaten granola bar on the bedside table and his mind was made up instantly. The granola bar meant Soojin hadn't had anything else except for the half-bar for dinner, and this was the nudge Seungmin needed to stay in – so that he could make sure she ate proper breakfast, after her hardly-existent dinner. Minho would understand, he thought as he shot a quick text asking for a raincheck to the hyung. Once done, he then turned off all the lights and climbed onto the bed next to Soojin, succeeding in refraining himself from pulling her into his arms only because he was so tired himself that he fell asleep as soon as his head met the pillows. 

He was awakened by a familiar, comforting motion of fingers running through his hair, and was instantly reminded of where he was even before he opened his eyes. 

"Morning, jagi-ya," came Soojin's whisper, soft as an autumn breeze. 

"Morning." As more of his senses came back to life, Seungmin realized that the two of them were way closer now than they had been when he first climbed onto the bed. He reached out a tentative arm still without opening his eyes and, sure enough, found her right in front of him. "What time is it?" 

"A little bit past eight. Your call time's still in a few hours, right?" 

"M-hm. So does yours." 

"You always get that right." Soojin curled herself even closer to him, head now resting on Seungmin's shoulder, the crown of her head slightly tickling his chin. "What time did you get here?" 

"Around two, I suppose." He finally opened his eyes and found Soojin pressed to his side, an arm and a leg hooked over each one of his. He shifted around, putting an arm around her until she settled in a more comfortable position in his embrace. "I'm sorry about last night." 

"Huh? What for?" 

"You told me you had a bad day, but I didn't see the text until way, way later. I wasn't there for you." 

Soojin looked up and he met her eyes. Hers looked more alert than he'd suspected; it seemed like she'd been up for quite a long while. "Jagi-ya, you had practice." 

"I know, and it sucks. I want to be there for you, want to listen to you ranting about your day." 

"But it's really fi – " She caught herself, eyes widening in realization. "Wait, is that why you came here unannounced? To check on me after my bad day?" 

"No need to sound so surprised," Seungmin said with faux annoyance, playfully flicking her forehead. "But yeah. Just to be here in case you want to blow off some steam, since I wasn't there for you last night. Also to force you to a proper breakfast after that half granola bar for dinner." 

"Half grano – " Soojin pushed herself to sit, so abruptly it got Seungmin wondering if he'd said something wrong. "How'd you even know that?" 

Seungmin nodded to the direction of her bedside table. "You often do that, skip on dinner after a bad day." He put a hand over his heart as if in pain. "Do you really think I picked up nothing over the past two and a half years of being your boyfriend?" 

She regarded him with a serious look. "Jagi-ya." Her tone was just as serious. "All that and you're really fussing over the fact that you can't say I love you to me?" 

Seungmin froze. 

After his little pep talk with Minho and Iris last week, Seungmin hadn't found the right time to talk things through with Iris; they were both too occupied with their own tight schedules, so he hadn't mentioned anything about it. Which left only one explanation: "Iris noona told you about it?" 

"Yes. Don't blame her though," Soojin added hastily. "I just happened to call her a few days ago to ask about something, but then it led to... other things." 

"I told her I trust her judgment," he shrugged. "So... are we going to talk about it right now?" 

"Yes," she said firmly. "And it's gonna be a short talk because I don't mind, Kim Seungmin." 

Seungmin couldn't help but flinch; Soojin only called him by his name when she's being the most serious. "You don't?" 

"Of course I don't, because you have your own way of telling me you love me – " She made a vague gesture around her room. "Coming here to check on me even after a long day, carrying me from the couch to my bed, charging my phone, memorizing my schedules and picking up on my habits, telling me to pack my blinding yellow umbrella – those are your own version of I love you, and I wouldn't want it any other way. So I'm not having it," she huffed, easing back to her previous spot nuzzled against Seungmin's side. "Never worry about that ever again." 

There was a lot going on inside Seungmin's mind, the biggest being waves of relief. So Iris was right after all; Soojin understood him and his weird way of loving her. But when he finally said something, it was: "You really seem to hold a personal beef against that yellow umbrella." 

Soojin laughed. "You – " She rolled over until she was lying on top of Seungmin to meet his eyes evenly. "It's seriously blinding," she said with the same serious tone as before. "I think it qualifies as a visual hazard." 

Chuckling, Seungmin pulled her in for a kiss, which she responded with her all. This was one of her way of telling him she loved him, he thought – through touches and hugs and kisses. It took some time for him, who originally wasn't a fan of physical affection, to get used to, but eventually he did, because he too understood her and her way of loving him. And he, too, wouldn't want it any other way. 

"Thank you," he whispered to her lips. 

He felt her smile. "Thank you, too." 

"Was it Seungmin oppa, unnie?" 

"Of course. Who else would I be jagi-ya-ing with?" 

"I thought you'd be ending your calls with him with 'I love you or something." 

"That's just not how we are, I think. Seungmin's not really an 'I love you' person. I don't think I've ever heard him say that, to be honest." 

"Never? Not once? Even after, what, two and a half years? Unnie, does he even love you?" 

"Of course he does, he just have a different way of showing it. It felt... strange, at first, because usually I'm a fan of affection in the form of words, to be honest. But then I realized that even though he never really say it, I know that he loves me, because he tells me in other ways – his ways. And now... now, I wouldn't want it in any other way but his."

completing the form in the NOTORIETY TIERS DOCUMENT ( under the LEE JIHO tab, which will be linked below ) will serve as a replacement to the NOTORIETY TIERS for this cycle. this means that if you do not want to do the MAY NOTORIETY TIERS you can submit songs instead.

to do this, please fill out the "REQUEST FORM (SONGS)" section before MAY 25, 2024 11:59PM EDT.

NT GIGS CLAIM PROCESS

for this cycle, we’ll be implementing a different way of submitting gig claims as a way to help everyone see what can be claimed.

first you will have to go to this DOCUMENT and check the “INTRODUCTION” tab to read the instructions. afterwards, you will go to your muse’s tab and fill out the “REQUEST FORM” section ( activity level, gig, other participants [ if applicable ], skill distribution, and notoriety ). the “ADMIN APPROBATION” column must be left blank and will be updated whenever one of the admins has reviewed and scheduled the gig. once you are done filling out the request form section, you will see a row that says “READY FOR ADMIN REVIEW?” and a drop down menu next to it. select “YES” when you are done. once everything has been reviewed by an admin, the drop down menu will change to “REVIEWED” and you can start writing the twitter posts for it. when we receive the twitter posts, that status will then change to "APPROVED" by the admins. you have until MAY 25, 2024 11:59PM EDT to fill out the request form.

OTHER EXPERIENCE

Tommy - Astro

I think Tommy would fit best with Astro because they don't have an outright cute concept, but not out right cool concepts either. They produce some sappy, upbeat pop that would fit Tommy's image. His role in the group would be sub vocal

Tubbo - Fromis_9 (or nct dream pre boom)

I think Tubbo fits best with girl group fromis_9 due to his youthful energy and cute girl slay factor. While I don't like fromis post hybe acquisition, I still think Tubbo could fit into concepts like DM. Alterntitvly: he and Wonyoung (IVE) are literally the same person. His role in the group would be visual or sub vocal/sub rapper

Ranboo - Boys Planet 999 contestant

I do not think Ranboo could be in any group. Not even in a nugu. He is that contestant on a survival show who gets popular for "reverse charm" (untalented) and just barely misses the required debut ranking.

sweet dreams - weeekly ( b-side/nova )

for FASHION SHOWS, the only ones claimable during this cycle are NYFW bridal april 2024 ( april 2-4 ) and paris fashion week men's spring-summer 2025 ( june 18-23 ).

if you take more than one notoriety tier gig, please copy the section multiple times but make sure to submit all of the gigs in one submit to make it easier for us when processing them! once all of the gigs have been processed on both ends, we'll make a note on the points form that it's been accepted and you can add the points to your points sheet. do note that because we tend to get several submits, it may take longer than usual to get through all of them!
