How was your weekend? Yesterday was Floss's 11th birthday! So for her birthday treat(!), for the first time since last October or early November, we met up with my sister. It was really lovely to be with the family after so long. My sister took us here for a walk - I had asked to go on a walk with a big view - as you can see - I was not disappointed!! As well as the lovely light, reflections and soft colouring of the trees, the sound of all the birds calling to each other and saying goodbye to the day is really special to hear. . 3. #366/194 View from my window this evening . Swipe to see we have had a lazy day reading beside the canal today. The only activity was that it was Ant day and the ants go very busy. Keep swiping to see the view from my garden bench for most of the day. This is where I sit and read - actually I lie in the bench with my feet up to be honest! It just feels like a holiday here on a sunny day - you can hear people chatting and laughing as they walk the tow path, there’s usually someone messing around with boats, and the sun was warm and the canal kept flowing on by. . . Adrienne and Ben wanted their wedding day their way. . . And that way, was to keep the traditions that made sense to them, and to discard any that didn’t suit. . . They didn’t want an official wedding cake cutting and they didn’t want an official first dance. . . They just wanted a warm cosy winter wedding, a really fun, relaxed day where all the children could be children and not be restricted, all warm and dry indoors at The Malt House at The Olde Bell, Hurley, laughing and celebrating with dear family and close friends. . . Music is really important to both of Adrienne and Ben, so they had a fab live band to play for them for their evening party. . . #323 #366photochallenge So today I decided to photo anything I liked that was the colour orange! . 1. Zoom call at lunchtime and I noticed Vix’s headband! . 2. And then we, Floss the dog and I, went out and saw this pretty bright, colourful flower. It’s called a Tagettes and brings a welcome dash or cheeriness this time of year. . 3. Then I noticed a heap of coiled, bright orange rope. . 4. And the leaves are all such lovely oranges, golds and browns. . I never wear orange as I don’t like the yellow/brown reflected on my skin - it brings out too much brown on me. This is what happens when you have been a colour analyst in the past but I also use the skills currently when creating photos for portraits or headshots and it’s probably one reason why generally, my photography style for weddings is mostly rich, bright and colourful!
