#288of365 #366photochallenge . A selection from today’s meander along in a different direction, beside the Grand Union Canal, where the canal is joined by the River Colne. . We saw a few people out today - mostly walkers, but often we see fisherman on our way by. . And you can see some of the traditional canal boats, one with a smokey chimney in the fresh morning sun. . There’s one of me too - I’d stopped to make way for somebody along the towpath. . We will be going on another walk tomorrow - but somewhere new for us - but still sticking to the latest restrictions as our area has now moved to Tier 2 - High Alert. . Hellooo from me - I had a late brunch and it was warm enough to sit out in the garden for 10mins in a break from work. . 3. Photo 1 Today I helped someone prepare and photograph all the miniature railway kit they want to sell on eBay - I’ve always steered clear of product photography generally as for me it’s all about capturing expressions and connections between people or people and pets. But I must say, I discovered that there’s something rather therapeutic about setting everything out in rows and trying to create an orderly pattern. We were short of professional lighting so there is some glare but hopefully they will sell quickly enough! . Photo 2 My french beans are still growing and flowering and I’m still picking very fresh beans. #266 #366 #100daystogo 1. There was some jolly activity down at Jacks Lock this morning. The CRT - that’s Canal River Trust, have to spend a lot of time sorting out the water levels and the flow of the canal, checking the locks for leaks and generally keeping the Grand Union Canal navigable. . 2. Yup - that’s me - a little pensive today after the government announcement concerning weddings only for 15 people now probably for the next 6 months. It’s tough on wedding planning couples - some are now postponing for the 3rd time. So I’m now very much looking forward to 2021 and 2022! Day #242 / #366photochallenge 1. #agoodbook #ibreathein #bookofpoems I have just begun to read this book of poems by the highly talented writer, Julie Salt. . So far I’ve found it beautifully written and very moving. . I will post a full review as soon as I’ve finished reading it. . 2. Floss and I went for a late walk this evening - it was dull, drizzly and cold! But it was still good to be out to get some fresh air. ... well I think that’s what Floss felt!! I was pleased to get back home! It felt a bit like winter! . 3. On our walk we pass quite a few of theses fishing tents/shelters. All I can see are the shelters and 2 fishing rods by each shelter. I guess snuggled up in the shelter there is a fisherman waiting for something to happen. . . Wishing you a bright, cheerful and restful weekend.
