It was so lovely to spend a day with my lovely son Frankie, and his fabulous partner Alice, recently - of course, as we were walking through this lush orchard field, I had to capture a quick photograph of them together in the warm, late afternoon sunshine and of course Floss decided she’d like to be in the shot too! I love photographing my personal brand and headshot clients to help them with their marketing and sales by becoming more visible in their business, but it’s always such a treat to be photographing my own family whenever I can! . It’s the perfect weekend for me - a walk to a local pub for lunch and then a lovely walk afterwards with the opportunity to capture a few photos along the way! What’s your idea of a perfect weekend? Did you get caught in that rain yesterday?! . This was a local headshot and brand photoshoot - if there’s a zebra crossing I’ll try capture a photo there - but usually have to be very quick so we don’t hold back the traffic! . It worked well here as my client wanted to work in the local community so this shows her out and about in a recognisable location. . What do you think? Do you prefer to work locally? How are you? How’s work? Are you beginning to look forward to the summer holidays? After almost 3 years, I’m finally able to travel to Australia to see my lovely daughter Alice! Swipe through to see the start of my journey ….Bye-bye flossy! Here I am on the plane - very excited and little bit nervous - it’s a long time since I’ve travelled on a plane. When I arrive in Australia, I have to do a lateral flow test immediately and wait for a negative result before I can see anyone so Alice my lovely daughter, has set out the test kit for me and a very welcome cup of tea! And finally, 😃😃😃 I tested negative so I can give Alice a massive squashy hug …IRL / in real life! 🤗🤗🤗 At Long Last!! And here’s Alice’s lovely cat, Coconut, very pleased to curl up and snooze beside me in the Aussie Sun. What are your dreams and goals? As we begin a new month, it can be a good idea to check on your goals, intentions and dreams, to check your progress and if you are still on track. Here are a few of my dreams and goals! ✈️ Travel more often (that’s not difficult as I’ve not been far since 2020!!) 🏃🏽‍♀️ Keep going with my ‘eat healthy’ diet and exercise, be fit, strong and healthy and lose 3lbs more by mid-May 💃 Get back to dancing and horse riding - maybe learn to ride western style 🏠 Always live somewhere that has fabulous light and windows and a fabulous view or is close to Canal/ River/ Sea/ Hills/mountains 📸📸📸 Capture more street photography / street portraiture, and travel photography (this is the type of photography I love to capture in my leisure time) 📸📸📸 Continue to specialise / keep focusing on Brand & Headshots photography - it’s fun and I love helping business owners go from hiding behind their business, to feeling brave enough to proudly step up and step out to be the face of their business, getting their messages heard, inspiring others as they go. . ❓❓How about you? Jean booked me for her photoshoot, because she liked my style of photography, but more importantly, because she knew I could help her get her messages out more easily to those who need to hear them. . Jean realised that she needed a bank of on-brand, professional, consistent style images always to hand so that she will now be able to refresh her website, and create her marketing and social media posts, and consistently show up a lot more quickly and easily. . Jean is not usually one of those types of people who likes to be the centre of attention or to push herself forward, and she generally hates photos of herself and hates being in front of the camera, so I had my work cutout!! . But we worked together to prepare Jean for her photoshoot, and when met met, for her photoshoot, Jean absolutely rocked her shoot and I’m pleased to report that yes, she loves her new brand photos. . But the thing that’s really special about Jean, is that as you can see in her photos, she’s a person who is genuine, authentic, and very discreet trustworthy and most of all, you just feel, instantly, like she’ll always have your back. So many things but I guess the thing I live most is helping my clients go from hiding to sparkling and outshining in THEIR business: . By getting to know a business owner, their hopes and plans, their values and vision for THEIR business, I then create for them the most fabulous on brand, scroll-stopping photos for my clients. Recently I was booked for a Brand and Lifestyle photoshoot for Tiny T’s Theatre. We had a fantastic day and both Tiny T and I really loved the photos. .
