I don't know why, but since I started this blog, the converted Chapel on the Bay, in Palmetto, Florida has been on the market at least 4 or 5 times. And, here it is, for sale again. 2bds, 2ba, $699K. The original owner spend $1.3M to convert it.)
Tumblr media
The floating chapel has served as a picturesque wedding venue and also as a short-term rental or Airbnb. The former Chapel is being sold fully furnished. It's ready for the next owner to live in at the marina or operate as a rental.
Tumblr media
It's really nice inside and has a vaulted church ceiling.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note the gothic doors and stained glass windows. I don't care for the black theater recliner seating, they're too bulky and casual for this lovely space.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the corner of the living area is a nice round glass table.
Tumblr media
A spiral staircase in the middle of the space toes up to a loft.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the corner of the living area is a nice kitchen with granite counters.
Tumblr media
Hallway to the primary bedroom and bath.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The downstairs bedroom and bath are good sizes.
Tumblr media
The 2nd bedroom is in the loft.
Tumblr media
Isn't this nice? It's so cozy.
Tumblr media
There's even a sitting area up here.
Tumblr media
And, this is the 2nd bath.
Tumblr media
It's picturesque at night, but there doesn't seem to be many other homes, just lots of boats.
Tumblr media
This is nice, they have fireworks on the water.

November Save MEGA summary (part 5)
before / next
so where we left off, june and steve had moved to the bay area to be closer to erica, but also out in the countryside where life is a bit more peaceful 💖 june I think is still commuting to the city, but steve is a stay-at-home dad and quit working at the blue velvet, but in my mind he teaches piano lessons from home a bit
adelaide started at high school and made some friends
Tumblr media Tumblr media
then, on the weekend they decided to take a family trip out to the lighthouse together, just to celebrate moving and to get to know the area a bit more. adelaide and elijah went up to the viewing area at the top and took some goofy pictures for grandma
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and meanwhile, steve and june explored to beach together, and steve finally proposed :>
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and then they told the kids who were super excited, and then went to erica's to break the news shes been waiting like 15 years to hear lmao
Tumblr media Tumblr media
as a side note, steve quit smoking (FINALLY)
Tumblr media
so congratulations to him I guess
Tumblr media
june and him then decided they wanted to go and surprise their friends in the city with news of their engagement, but adelaide gave them grief about having to stay and babysit elijah ☠
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(sadly I have no photos of them telling their friends) but when they were back they did some cake tasting in town
Tumblr media
landon also came over one night to watch a movie with adelaide, but he decided to take things further
Tumblr media Tumblr media
fast forwarding a bit but I also threw a bachelor party for steve, the day before the wedding
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and then finally, the big day arrived (and you can imagine my stress, I even built an entire venue for it LMAO) the bridesmaids and june all gathered there earlier to get ready
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and steve and elijah arrived later with erica to finish setting up, and he had him set the tables
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
adie didn't help at all she just came down to cause mischief and steal strawberries
Tumblr media
and then finally the ceremony, and some of my favourite photos ive ever taken at a sims wedding
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
which I'll have to resume in the next part because I reached the 30 photo limit!!!

YES re dishes I have been forced to do hours and hours of dishes at peoples weddings bc I refused to let the mothers of the bride or groom do them instead and it did not fill me with Christlike compassion tbh
NO YEAH EXACTLY.....like i am not making a beloved friend do dishes for hours for free and i am CERTAINLY not making my parents do it, that's just feels like extremo taking advantage of being Like Well Its My Wedding:) ....??? like i'll pay the extra whatever $10-20k (or more) to feed people and pay someone to do the dishes. like if ur gonna diy your wedding good for you but like also think about what you're asking of people you love and what that's doing to your relationships.
the tags on that post are so insane ik i'm insanely bay area-pilled in my expectations of how much stuff costs but i have no idea where you're getting a venue for less $1k much less everything else going into a medium to large wedding for less than $5k like??? how diy are we going here lol. like i officiated my best friend's wedding for $0 and i was honored to do it but also kinda salty about it bc i had to buy a plane ticket, a suit, and do an extremo amount of work with a groom who hates me. like an honorarium of $50 would have been nice so i could buy a lot of boba to recover from the entire situation yk but instead i just got august midwest humidity lmao...
idk like can people please be for real in their expectations of how much big parties cost lmao. sorry 2 rant in your ask but i think diy culture has in some ways made people insane

Book Blurb:
Estranged exes must stick close together to save their best friend’s wedding after a string of disasters in this swoony and steamy second-chance romance from the USA Today bestselling author of You, with a View.
Georgia Woodward lives by her lists, none more so than the one about her ex, Eli Mora. It’s full of the ironclad dos and don’ts they’ve been following since she returned to the Bay Area after their cataclysmic breakup five years ago.
With the wedding of their mutual best friend, Adam, looming, and them about to step into their roles as best woman and man, Georgia’s never needed it more. She refuses to threaten their tight-knit friend group with her messy—and still very present—feelings. The rules on that list will keep her cool, calm, and compartmentalized.
What’s not on her list? Eli arriving from New York with a new rule-breaking attitude or the all-inclusive venue burning to the ground, leaving the bride and groom in dire straits. Nor does she anticipate Adam asking her and Eli to help him make a miracle happen. Together.
As Georgia and Eli rush up to Napa Valley to pull off the perfect wedding, their old chemistry comes back in technicolor. Somewhere between cake tastings gone wrong, disastrous DJ auditions, and Eli’s heated attention, Georgia starts recognizing the man she fell in love with before. And if she lets herself break her rules, she might find what they’re building isn’t the something old that ruined them—it’s a chance at something new.
Review:
Two exes, a best friend's wedding to save, and a second chance at romance. Georgia and Eli were best friends, were (are) in love with each other, dated for years... but broke up.... and they just happen to share a mutual best friend, Adam. When Adam's wedding looming between them and both of them are best man/woman.... they'll have to find a way to spend a week together. Yet Adam's wedding is one disaster after another, from their DJ getting food poisoning, to the wedding venue catching on fire, its up to Eli and Georgia to now save Adam's wedding but in the process finally face their feelings and why their relationship went wrong.... and how their feelings for each other are still very much the same. Eli and Georgia have loved each other for so long, they are best friends, perfect... but when things went wrong Georgia promised herself that she won't break her rules again and that she'll guard her heart from Eli a second time yet this new Eli is back and he's determined to break all her rules and get her to see that he's never going to let her go if she gives him a second chance. Can they save Adam's wedding and repair their relationship by the time the wedding is over? This was such a beautiful and sweet second chance romance. I loved how real both Eli and Georgia felt, how their insecurities and their relationship falling apart is so understandable yet their love for one another and willingness to communicate and face their feelings was so well done. I truly had such a great time reading this and as a fan of Jessica Joyce's writing, this book absolutely hit it out of the park. I am not even the biggest fan of second chance romances but this one completely captured my heart. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance book!

Snippet Sunday
From upcoming Husbros installment, “Bonding Rituals of the Southern Coastal Husbro.”
------
There was activity in a loft space above the big bay where the trucks lived. Her new firefighter friend motioned her to come in. She saw two figures detach from a group up there and come down the stairs — it was Christopher’s dads, both in short-sleeved navy blue firefighter’s uniforms.
Oh sweet Lord have mercy, they’re both so hot.
She harrumphed and put on her best public-relations face.
“Hi,” one of them said; Buckley, by his nametag.
“Um, hello, my name is Cecily Schuler, I work for the Los Angeles Zoo.”
Both their eyebrows went up. “Oh! Um, okay,” Diaz said. “How can we help you? If you want to have an LAFD event at the zoo, we don’t really handle that at the station level.”
“No, this is…about you two, specifically. Is there somewhere we can talk?”
“Sure,” Buckley said, leading her to a small sitting area next to a currently-deserted weight room. She glanced up at the loft, which seemed to be the gathering/living space; Buckley noticed her looking. “Best not go up there unless you want a bunch of nosy firefighters listening in.”
“Oh, okay,” she said, taking a seat. The dads sat down next to each other on a padded bench. Oh my God, their thighs. Be professional. “So the other day, I got a call from a young man named Christopher.”
Their reactions were amusing. Diaz’s face went directly to Oh Lord, what did he do while Buckley’s went to Oh my gosh, that’s awesome. “He called you?” Buckley said.
“He did. He told me that you two were having trouble finding a venue for your wedding, and he wanted to ask if the zoo was an option. I’m here to tell you that it absolutely is.”
Buckley looked psyched. “People get married at the zoo?”
“All the time. We have weddings almost every weekend, sometimes more than one at the same time, in different venues.”
“How come we never thought of that?” Buckley said to Diaz.
“It never even occurred to me,” Diaz said. “Ms. Schuler, I apologize for our son’s call. He knows better,” he said, his jaw tightening with the promise of talking-tos in Christopher’s future.
“Come on, Eddie,” Buckley said. “I think it’s cute. He’s probably sick of hearing us talk about it, God knows I’m sick of talking about it. And it is a pretty great idea, you gotta admit. Besides, it demonstrates initiative! Life skills! Those things we’re always trying to make sure he has!”
“If I may, your son was very confident with me. And he seemed very eager that his dads should have the wedding they want.”
Diaz softened. “Yeah, he’s a pretty great kid. I’m just not sure I want him cold-calling zoo administrators when he’s frustrated with the pace of our decision-making.”
She laughed. “That’s fair.” She leaned forward a bit. “So the reason I’m here is that I’m head of event planning for the zoo, and if you’d like to have your wedding at the zoo, I’d love to help you with it.”

Very expensive 2011 home in Homer, Alaska has 7bd. 12ba. $8.5M. A lot of people (it accommodates 30) can live here together and be amused by the whimsy in this house. Take a look.
Tumblr media
There’s room for observing the view, but it has to remembered that these are summer pictures. I don’t know what Alaska’s long, harsh dark winters would bring.
Tumblr media
The description says that it could be a venue, like a destination wedding, but it doesn’t say that the furnishings come with it.
Tumblr media
What you’re seeing is Kachemak Bay, which supposedly has beach access.
Tumblr media
Here’s another seating area.
Tumblr media
I had to look closely to see what was holding these seats up, but now I don’t understand how you sit w/that middle bar in the way.
Tumblr media
Look at the size of this kitchen island.
Tumblr media
This is some high-end kitchen.

Now, here comes the whimsy. Look at this. Let’s play pirates.
Tumblr media
Look at how the sculpted carpet looks like the land.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Looks like some sort of haunted cove.
