Macron's fiery Sorbonne speech targets summering American Millennials
It’s no coincidence that Emmanuel Macron gave a fiery speech about the threats facing Europe the same week that American Millennials in New York, LA, and Miami began talking about booking their one-way flights to the continent. "There is a risk our Europe could die - we are not equipped to face the risks," Macron said, referring to the dietary allergies, alternative milk needs, and tedious conversations of trust-funded, unemployed young adults who will begin their summer in Paris to attend a museum benefit that spills into a large dinner party with several professional photographers before traveling to Puglia, Comporta, or Ibiza where they will subsist on ‘beautiful tomatoes,’ flat whites, and MDMA.
Europe has struggled with illegal immigration for decades, and there is no more pressing illegal immigration threat than American Millennials who have decided that being unemployed in Europe is less distressing for their parents than being unemployed in Williamsburg. Google searches for ‘how long can I stay in EU without passport’ spiked in late-April among Americans who have not yet bought a Portuguese passport from a guy who used to run a turnkey Burning Man camp who is now running a Golden Visa scheme in Lisbon. “Our Europe today is mortal,” Macron said. “It can die and that depends solely on our choices,” the choices being whether or not to search and detain for ketamine at customs and how to clearly define tipping protocol in restaurants.
Tumblr media
“It used to be enough to spend a couple weeks in Italy in July,” observes Coco, a 34-year-old retired gallery founder who is on the board of several art-related non-profits that she instructed her unpaid interns to start. “But now it gets so hot in Europe in July that everyone is going in June and even like, May.” Coco has several weddings and dinner parties in various coastal destinations in Europe in June, but she has not yet RSVP’d nor has she booked any travel. “I know I’m going to go, but I’ve just been too busy to look at the dates or book anything,” she says, absently picking some kind of beige matter from the left eye of her toy goldendoodle. Macron at one point asserts in his speech that Europe is “too slow and lacks ambition,” referring directly to Coco’s ambivalent European travel plans.
Uncertainty permeates the vibe in Europe right now, not because of a military threat posed by a giant, angry country with cocked nukes driven by a weak-minded Cold War relic, but because every Millennial in New York, Miami and Los Angeles has expressed their intention to occupy Europe without declaring the targets.
“Is very stressful,” says Aldo Melpignano, the proprietor of Borgo Egnazia, a trendy boutique hotel in Puglia that for Europeans costs €120 a night and charges 30something Americans visiting from coastal zipcodes $970. “I see the hashtags on the Instagram, like, I’m coming for your @borgoegnazia,” he says. “Va bene, Allison, when you gonna come for us, and are you gonna come with that stupid capello?” says Aldo while making a pinched-fingers emoji with one hand and pointing to his head with the other. Hotel, coffee shop, organic market, and narcotics purveyors all over Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal have echoed this desire for more resolute planning and fewer hats from the demographic that funds the less productive but more desirable EU countries.
"We must produce more, we must produce faster, and we must produce as Europeans," Macron said, a rallying cry to European DJs to sample only vocals that were recorded in native European languages.
“Europe must show that it is never a vassal of the United States and that it also knows how to talk to all the other regions of the world," Macron said, refuting the irrefutable fact that Europe has become a summer camp for unproductive younger Americans and suggesting that they be immediately deported to Bodrum or Izmir upon landing at CDG, MXP, and LIS.
“This is a betrayal of our values that ultimately leads us to dependency on other counties,” Macron said, making an observation about Europe’s frustration with having to work between May and August in order to show American Millennials how to correctly tap their credit card on puzzling European payment terminals.
“Europe must become capable of defending its interests, with its allies by our side whenever they are willing, and alone if necessary,” said Macron, in defense of French baristas who do not like working with oat milk. Taking a hands-on approach to ensuring the EU’s “ability to ensure our security” Macron and his wife will begin their Summer at a wedding in the Aeolian Islands in early June, float around Sicily or Puglia the following week, head to Bonjuk Bay for an appearance of prominent LA-based DJ, RICHE, and then couch-surf in Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera the rest of the summer.

i love your proposal drabbleeee! could i get another about time based one where theyre planning the wedding? happy 1k!! i love u and the movie so much<3
honeymooning – cl16
You find a creative way to quickly plan your wedding.
auds here... ik i said that was the last req but i have so many im just ignoring jshdhs and i just rewatched about time so this was Birthed... sorry
“We’ve officially broken the world record for time spent engaged and not married,” you announce, walking into the living room of your flat in a hoodie and loose pajamas.
Charles looks up from where he’d been reviewing something—finances for the team, if you recall correctly—and adjusts his reading glasses (that he will never admit he has to use.) And he laughs, like this is all a joke. You place your hands on your hips, rolling on the balls of your feet as you stare at him menacingly.
“I am not joking. The only thing we’ve—you’ve—decided about our wedding is that I’m going to be walking down the aisle to some weird song you heard in The Godfather.”
“A lovely song,” he interjects, watching you walk until you’re just a few metres in front of him.
“Absolutely not.” You pause, breathing slowly. “And we have no other mutual free days for a while. So here’s the deal—for every decision you make about the wedding, I take one article of clothing off.”
He laughs outwardly, nodding and setting aside the thick stack of paper he’d been perusing. “Deal. You have my attention.” He settles further into the chair, staring at  you with want and amusement.
“Um, okay. Where do we get married?” You smile.
“Italy. Everyone knows everyone here in Monaco, and everywhere else is too far.”
“Okay,” you agree, wrestling the hoodie off and revealing your bra underneath. “Good.”
“You’re beautiful,” he says quickly before you slide into the next prompt.
“Sweet talker,” you retort, settling your thumbs into the drawstring of your trousers and readying them to pull downward. “Alright. Band or DJ?”
“Oh, shit.” He thinks. “Band. It’s got to be band. And if that goes to shit we plug in a phone and play Spotify the rest of the night.”
You laugh, nodding in agreement. “Smart,” you huff out, pulling your pajamas down. He stares, eyes running up and down, anticipatory. Fingers make their way to the clasp of your bra and you mull over the next question. You’ve both settled on a few things—catering and cake and the like—so you skip over those. Then you remember the reason why your guestlist remains unfinished and unfinalized.
“Best man?”
“Oh, nooo,” he moans. “Damn, no.”
“I need an answer,” you sing-song, playing with the clasp. “Or these stay covered all night.”
“It’s too hard, beautiful,” he groans, covering his face with his hands. “Okay. Fuck, okay—Joris.”
“Your choice,” you say, brows raised.
“He’s going to make a fool out of me during his speech, isn’t he.”
“Very likely.”
“Okay, no—Lorenzo.”
“You sure?”
“No—no, Pierre. Pierre.” He nods once. “Pierre.”
“Pierre, final answer,” you say smilingly, unclasping your bra. He smiles, giddy when he finally gets to see almost all of you.
“Yeeee—no, no, Lorenzo.”
“What?!” Your hands flee to cover your breasts and you narrow your eyes at him. “You are such a—that is cheating. Cheating!”
He just laughs, shrugging his shoulders as if to say what can you do. You roll your eyes, but maintain composure, nodding slowly. “Alright… oh, honeymoon.”
“Uh, uuuh—five days in Paris,” he says eventually, grinning.
“Oh, these panties are not coming off for Paris.” Granted, it’s a beautiful city, but both you and Charles are there nearly all the time for work, and it’s so near Monaco it’s basically the same thing.
“It’s all I can do for my schedule,” he retorts, insistent. “Take off your panties.”
He has a glint in his eye that strikes both amusement and competition in you.
“I will not,” you shoot, smiling and stepping backwards once, hands still covering your chest.
“Take! Off! Your panties!” He hollers, getting up and making a beeline for you. You squeal, turning around and bounding up the stairs toward your bedroom; he’s hot on your tail, laughing.
“Never!” You yelp, a high-pitched sound as you take refuge in the bedroom. “I want three weeks in Hawaii!”

I think I genuinely found the perfect song for Leon and his wife as like "their song".
(Yes ik it's the song from Twilight but it's fitting!!!)
Now, when I think about them getting married I don't think they did a big wedding. They got married on a whim because Leon had vacation time coming up. They got married by a justice of the peace at a courthouse in front of everyone they cared about and rented a party room at a nice restaurant they really love just to have a good meal and be with everyone who matters.
They didn't have a cake, no flower toss, no first dance. But you did get to dress up, everyone did. Just shared their happiness with everyone. You had a honeymoon for sure though. 2 blissful weeks in Italy together, the vacation they'd planned on taking together. Just to have a romantic get away.
You promised each other that you'd do something special for your first anniversary but you got pregnant and Violet was barely 3 months old on your wedding anniversary that the thought slipped both your minds.
But one afternoon Leon's heading home from a particularly grueling case. Everything that could have gone wrong almost did. And of course he's sitting in traffic when all he wants is to go home an see his wife and daughter. The only thing sounds are the engine and occasional honks from idiot drivers. So he turns on the radio to fill the silence. He catches the ending of some other song. The radio dj coming on and talking for a bit, he reaches for the dial when piano keys fill the car. He just goes back to waiting, sitting back in his seat as he does so.
And my God does he get emotional... He doesn't know if it's the stress he's under or if it's that he can't stop thinking about how relevant everything feels.
He knows his life is hard, It's been hard since that night in Raccoon City and everything that's happened to him. All the people he's seen suffer and the awful things he's seen. But once he met you he finally had something good. Something that gave him hope.
His life changed so much in the past 5 years of being together. You loved him. You married him. You gave him the family he's always wanted and his life is barely over a quarter of the way through. He gets to come home to you and the beautiful baby girl he loves so much.
How could he not finally be thankful for being alive?
Because he gets to live not to just be a weapon anymore. He's got something to look forward to.
Your anniversary rolls around. It's almost midnight and you're prepping your lunch for the next day at work. As Leon walks into the kitchen. Doing his usual schtick of wrapping his arms around you and burying his face in your neck. Giving you the usual kisses with a tight squeeze so you can't escape his love as you squeal for mercy. He eventually stops his torturing affection and looks at the stove clock as you zip you're lunchbox closed.
Soon you're lifted from the floor being carried by the waist out of the kitchen.
"Leon! I'm not done yet!"
"It's our anniversary now so I get to do what I please."
"That's not how this works!"
He sets you on the floor, standing as you playfully glare at him. He hustles over to the stereo, plugging his phone in and turning it up, not loud enough to wake the baby.
"What're you doing?" You question, hearing the piano fill the living room as he hustles around the couch.
"What we should of done last year. Our first dance. He wraps his arms around you, pulling you close.
"Leon, we've danced since we got married."
"Yes, but we never picked a song! So just, dance with me and listen. Please? Pleeeease?" He bounces on place till you sigh and wrap your arms around him.
You just stare into each other's eyes while you slow dance. Swaying gently to the music as you listen. Both of you getting emotional by the end of the song. Tears streaming down both your faces. Still smiling as you hug him tight.
"Being with you was one of the best choices I've ever made. I love you so much."

idk if he ever talked about office nerd and girlie getting married but I can fully imagine them just getting married alone somewhere in Italy. Also I’m in Berlin rn and they’d absolutely love it here. There are a bunch of djs, drummers, violin players etc just playing their instruments in the park and people having little parties around them. Could easily see them writing a piece on that.
yes and yes!! the wedding is either literally in a gig venue (something like saint lukes in glasgow) or an elopement abroad with a big "surprise we got married you thought this was just a party" event when you get home, i truly have not decided yet. i love the berlin thing; i think that the two of you do little travel diary columns for the magazine that go at the end of your summer festival reviews, and that sounds perfect for one of them. but sometimes you just have to abandon work and enjoy the atmosphere with matty, dance with him to street performers and kiss him in sidestreets on the way back to the airbnb after a busy day, fall asleep in his arms a little sunburnt and sore-footed but as happy as you think you've ever been. lovely <3

Idk about you but I envision a vineyard wedding for Taylor verse reader and Matty and tvr having a simple satin spaghetti strap cowl thing going on for her dress
okay so i 100% envision matty and tvr eloping in a small ceremony before it all goes down because they've been waiting FOREVER. but they do have a silly little ceremony for their friends and family in some vineyard off in italy or paris during the spring so its the perfect time of the year. and you're right! the dress is so simple yet stunning. it's satin and long, has a removable train which is gone as soon as the ceremony is over. it allows you to move and breathe and dance which is the only thing you really want to do. the whole wedding is very chill. got a live band, that matty drunkenly jumps on stage with and serenades reader (more on that possibly) and a photobooth that taylor and charli drag you into which gives us the hottest trio pics ever. their first dance is under the stars and twinkly lights and matty makes some cheesy comments and when you kiss he tastes like the sweet wine he's been sipping all day and you're not sure if anything could ever feel better. thinking that george (everyone's fave dj) spins the latter half of the reception. matty and you are attached at the hip, spinning around with each other and sipping wine and taking shots and you guys end up in the photo booth a few moments later completely loved up.

Using Amalfi Wedding Planner, how can one arrange a unique Jewish wedding in Tuscany?
In Italy’s Tuscany, history, passion, and culture all coexist peacefully amid breathtaking landscape. Imagine saying “I do” under the Tuscan sun surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, and the appeal of medieval architecture. Now you have everything you need for a fantastic celebration when you mix this lovely location with the rich legacy of Jewish customs and skilled assistance from Amalfi Wedding Planner. This book walks through how to design a distinctive Jewish wedding in Tuscany that combines magic of this well-known location with custom. From picking the ideal location to including significant customs, every element is meticulously designed to guarantee that the union of love, legacy, and beauty will be one that will be remembered always.
Accepting Jewish customs
Understanding the desires and dreams of the couple can help one to design a Jewish wedding that complements their taste and respects custom. Leading this first discussion, the Amalfi Wedding Planner explores the significance of Jewish customs and ceremonies to the couple. Working with the couple and a seasoned rabbi, we make sure that, following Jewish tradition, every element of the ceremony meets their demands.
Tumblr media
Selecting the ideal venue
From centuries-old houses to small farms to great estates, Tuscany’s varied terrain provides several breathtaking locations for weddings. Selecting the appropriate location for a Jewish wedding call for weighing beauty with usefulness.
Tumblr media
Creating the Décor
Working with talented designers and florists, we develop a design concept that captures the tastes of the couple and Tuscany’s splendor. Incorporating traditional Jewish components like the chuppah, symbolic floral arrangements, and lit candles, they mix effortlessly with the general decor.
Inspired by the Tuscan countryside — shades of olive green, gentle blush, and warm terracotta — a color palette produces a charming, rustic atmosphere. These hues complement the surroundings, therefore accentuating the beauty of the scene and generating a harmonic and magical environment for the wedding.
Creating a Culinary Journey
Strong tastes and farm-to — — table cuisine abound in Tuscany. Working with talented caterers and chefs, Amalfi Wedding Planner develops a meal honoring Jewish dietary practices while highlighting the finest of Tuscan cuisine.
Along with Tuscan classics like ribollita (Tuscan bread soup) and bistecca alla Fiorentina (Florentine-style steak), the menu might include Jewish-style artichokes called carciofi alla giudia and Italian cuisine including salted fish, or baccalà. Every meal is created using locally grown, fresh foods, so honoring innovation and tradition in dining. Guests are presented to a feast combining the many tastes of Jewish background with Tuscan cuisine, so tantalizing their taste receptors.
Improving the Amusement
Jewish weddings feature dance and music, which give the celebration life and entertainment. Setting up live music or a DJ to mix Italian melodies with classic Jewish songs keeps attendees occupied all through the evening. Hiring professional dancers or entertainers will improve the celebrations even more, so the dance floor becomes an interesting and vibrant venue.
Organizing Logistics Perfectly
Coordinating a destination wedding calls for accuracy and flawless planning. Hiring Amalfi Wedding Planner guarantees that all logistics — from travel to lodging to vendor coordination — are deftly handled. Our experience helps the couple to completely enjoy their wedding day free from concern for the specifics.
Recording Infinite Events
To really capture the spirit of a wedding in Tuscany, one must make investments in quality photography and film. Experts in destination weddings and knowledgeable about the subtleties of Jewish ceremonies and Tuscany’s terrain are advised by Amalfi Wedding Planner to be hired. This guarantees that every lovely moment — from the grandeur of the venue to the couple’s sensitive exchanges — is preserved.
Conclusion
Arranging a distinctive Jewish wedding in Tuscany calls for love, careful preparation, imagination, and cultural awareness. Couples can enjoy a remarkable occasion honoring legacy while embracing the romanticism of this gorgeous place with the help of Amalfi Wedding Planner and the enchanted Tuscan scenery. Every moment, from the customary features of the ceremony to the exuberant celebration of the reception, offers chances to build lifelong memories.

Katy Perry, Shakira, and More to Perform at Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant's Pre-Wedding
Tumblr media
After a spectacular first pre-wedding ceremony in Jamnagar, Gujarat, billionaire Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's son, Anant Ambani, and his fiancée, Radhika Merchant, are gearing up for another grand celebration. This time, the couple will be hosting their pre-wedding festivities aboard a luxurious cruise traveling from Italy to the South of France, aptly named “La Vite E Un Viaggio,” which means “life is a journey” in Italian. The Ambani family is renowned for their lavish events, and this pre-wedding bash is set to be no different. Global pop sensations Katy Perry and Shakira are set to perform at this extraordinary event. The anticipation surrounding their performances is heightened by curiosity about the fees they are charging for this exclusive engagement. According to the British tabloid The Sun, Katy Perry, famous for her hit “I Kissed A Girl,” is commanding a staggering fee of one million dollars for her live performance at the Ambani's pre-wedding cruise celebration. An insider close to the Ambani family revealed that Katy Perry will be the main attraction during the five-hour-long party on the cruise. The source disclosed, “They have invited 800 guests who are currently on a space-themed cruise around Europe, with stops in Barcelona and Genoa. It will arrive in Cannes on Friday for the big bash, which will be at a £40 million estate.” This event promises to be a spectacle, with a party that lasts only five hours but is packed with top-tier entertainment, including a DJ flown in specifically for the occasion. The evening will culminate in a grand fireworks display viewed from a fleet of ships anchored in the Bay of Cannes. “When they say there’s been no expense spared, they really mean it,” the insider added. In addition to Katy Perry, Colombian superstar Shakira, known for her chart-topping song “Hips Don’t Lie,” will also grace the stage with her biggest hits. According to The Hola, Shakira is reportedly charging between ₹10 crore and ₹15 crore for her performance at the pre-wedding celebration. This isn't the first time the Ambani family has enlisted the talents of international music icons for their events. In January, pop diva Rihanna set a high standard when she performed for the Ambani's guests at the couple's first pre-wedding bash in Jamnagar. The Grammy-winning artist was reportedly paid $9 million for her performance. The excitement continues to build as the wedding date approaches. Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are scheduled to tie the knot on July 12 in Mumbai. The wedding ceremony will follow traditional Hindu Vedic rituals and will be held at the Jio World Convention Centre in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). As the Ambani family prepares for these momentous celebrations, the world watches in awe at the sheer scale and opulence of their events. The inclusion of renowned performers like Katy Perry and Shakira underscores the Ambani family's commitment to hosting truly unforgettable celebrations that leave a lasting impression on all who attend.
