Villain!Donald AU? Villain!Donald AU.
Alternate Universe where Donald very much did not like going on adventures with Scrooge and Della as a kid but did still want to hang out/bond with them, so, yknow. He went anyway. Thus building up half a lifetime of resentment.
And then Della disappeared and Donald broke it off with Scrooge and guess who stepped in to offer him a place of employment?
I just think there could be a fun/interesting parallel to be explored with Donald not liking adventure necessarily, and yknow, Bradford hating adventures, too. But i still think donald would eventually come back to the side of his family, and they'd make up. With the help of della and the boys prolly lol.
I do think smth the show lacked was like, a proper exploration of donald and his dislike for adventures. Could even be a learning thing on how to set boundaries with ur family.
Anyway, in the au Donald would have told the boys abt what happened to della (or, at least, that her disappearance was scrooge's fault and that scrooge is not a good person) so when they inevitably end up meeting the boys r very not enthused abt making his acquaintance.
And then Webby comes in with her mcduck board n everything, gushing abt scrooge xD

That was adorable!! Thanks!! I love how unusually patient he was with her, considering his impatience and annoyance interacting with others at the best of times (and this was especially a difficult subject). I imagine being free from the demons of his past made it a lot easier, and made him want to change and become a better person overall, so maybe that helped in how he interacted with Webby.
I'm shocked he knew or remembered her name! He didn't call her 'Pink Girl' (even Frank confirmed he doesn't remember most people's names, except Scrooge ofc and Manny, but then Scrooge is his boss and Frank once said that he gave Manny his name).
Yes!! I'm so glad you brought up how Huey reunited Gyro with Boyd- AND helped him learn the truth about the demons of his past, which haunted him and destroyed his life for twenty years- because that's HUGE, and it bothers me Gyro never acknowledged that in any way in the rest of the last season (including simply calling him by name after that instead of Red Nephew or Hat Nephew, which would have been a subtle yet perfect mark of his character development).
For the two characters prompt: Gyro and Webby (the only one of the four kids who wasn't shown interacting with Gyro on-screen).
Very intriguing! I’m all for it.
I give you…
When in Japan…
Originated from this post.
“12:21! Perfect.”
Webby had just arrived at the Money Bin. Thanks to Huey, she was able to snag Dr. Gearloose for purposes relating to research on her family board, seeing as they had just taken a somewhat impromptu trip to Japan, where Dr. Gearloose received some clarity on his past.
According to Huey, Dr. Gearloose usually took a lunch break around 12:30. That gave Webby plenty of time to get to the lobby, mentally go over what exactly she wanted to ask him, and just wait.
Soon enough, at exactly 12:31, Dr. Gyro Gearloose emerged from the elevator, typing some calculations into his tablet.
“Dr. Gearloose!” Webby exclaimed.
The scientist’s head shot up from what he was working on. “Gah! Oh, Webby. There you are.”
“Oh! Sorry about that,” the girl responded. “I didn’t mean to startle you.”
“It’s fine,” Dr. Gearloose replied, wearily brushing it off. “So, what exactly is it that you want to know?”
“I want to be as up-to-date with my family board as possible,” Webby explained. “And given what Huey has told me about your trip, there definitely seem to be blanks that I want to fill in.”
“Okay, fine. But you’re not digging too, too deep, right?” Dr. Gearloose questioned. “Because there are some aspects of this whole thing that are still a sore subject for me.”
“Oh, not too far!” Webby assured. “So are we staying here or going somewhere else for this? I’m fine with whatever!”
“Well, I was going to head out for something…”
“Perfect!” Webby chirped. “Then let’s do that. Are we taking your car, or-?”
“Um, yes,” answered Dr. Gearloose. “Would you mind taking the back seat, though?”
“Not really!” replied Webby. “Besides, it’ll give me more space to write my notes.”
“Ah. Alright then.” And the two headed off to Dr. Gearloose’s car, a silver compact.
Webby ultimately decided to wait until they had left the garage to start asking questions. “So, first off: what was Japan like, exactly?”
“Well, I would’ve thought you’d have heard all about the experience from Red Ne-“
“Huey,” Webby corrected.
“Right. Huey.” The red-clad triplet had helped him reunite with Boyd; the least Dr. Gearloose could do is pay him some respect by remembering his name better.
“Well, I did hear some stuff about it from him,” Webby reasoned. “What was it like to you, though?”
Now that was something to really think on for Dr. Gearloose, seeing as he had such strong memories tied to Japan.
“Well, admittedly,” he began, “I didn’t really get to take it all in this time, considering everything surrounding Boyd, and being kicked out of Tokyolk rather swiftly. But for all the negative memories I associate with Japan over the course of my life, the positives are very strong, too. The scientific and technological history, the ambience, the food. Things like that have made it enjoyable for me.”
“Wow,” Webby gasped. “For all the adventures we’ve gone on with Uncle Scrooge, I’m surprised we haven’t had one in Japan yet.”
“Ah, intrepid man that he is, I’m sure it’ll happen someday,” reasoned Dr. Gearloose.
“I hope so!” Webby replied cheerfully. “So…tell me about Boyd.”
She noticed a faint smile creep across Dr. Gearloose’s beak in the rearview mirror. “Well, he was my first creation. So naturally, he’s always been special to me.”
“He sounds really interesting,” Webby interjected. “Would I like him?”
“I’m rather sure you would,” Dr. Gearloose answered. “Even over two decades later, he’s still endlessly curious about the world around him. I taught him a lot back then.”
Dr. Gearloose pulled up to a cafe just past the bridge.
“Oh! We’re here. Come, Webby, let’s continue this interview in there.”
“Right behind you!” she grinned. And the two got out of the car and made their way into the cafe.

One May and June episode could be about their fears and insecurity joining the family (maybe involving FOWL remains), and how the clan tries to made them feel welcome and loved.
Since getting this ask I’ve thought of an episode where the two deal with this separately so here’s another episode description as a treat. Albeit slightly modified to avoid some spoilers
May and June learn what it truly means to have a family.
I've been doing a full re watch of Ducktales 2017 for both research and for fun and I’ve just finished the life and crimes of Scrooge Mcduck( the episode in Huey’s season before the finale being a Louie episode is a little annoying ngl) so I haven’t gotten to May and Junes introduction yet but the characterisation I have for them for is under the cut
June: I’ve kind of split parts of webby’s personality and altered them to give them each their own personality which is still a little bit of a wip for now. For June I gave her webbys initial season one enthusiasm if you know what I mean. She’s excited and bouncy and wants to try everything there is to try. I imagine she’d be interested in things like art and ballet as well as loving the ocean even if she’s not that good at sailing. She also has a lot of respect for her sister May, based on that one scene where she cuts the strings on webbys board because may said it was wrong, which leads me to thing she also does things without thinking she doesn’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings she still learning. She seems like she’d be a good gift giver, the type of person who knows what people like because she wants everyone to be happy, which does sometimes lead to naivety( but don’t get it twisted she’s plenty smart)overcompensation on her part but she’s working on it.
May: mays a lot more cynical then her sister and is protective of her. She doesn’t trust easily on account of her entire world shattering. She’s got more of webby’s warrior attitude and has a similar way of looking at problems to Louie( he probably ropes her into his schemes). Even though she comes off as grumpy and cynical she loves her family and would do anything for them, she has a lot of respect for Donald and daisy as well as Mrs. Beakley and Huey( he is collecting little siblings like pokemon you guys). I also imagine she’d be interested in fashion like her mom daisy and debate. I think she gets lots of book recommendations from Huey so she’s always reading. She butts heads with Dewey a lot, partly because the entire cast kind of just gets along, they don’t often have different conclusions or shown opinions from each other( like they’re all obviously different to each other but you don’t really see them draw different conclusions from each other too often) and also because she kind of opposes his sunshine everything’s okay personality.

Honestly, I think that Quack Pack versions of Lena and Violet would come over and play role-playing games about magic and adventure like the Dungeons And Dragons board game with Webby. After all, the Quack Pack world was created because of Donald Duck’s wish to just deal with normal family problems. And a normal version of Webby, Lena and Violet’s magic-related adventures would probably be playing a game that’s about magic and adventure. Also, they each would probably have a different story they would like to create and tell as DM. Webby would probably like to create and tell a story about action and forming bonds as comrades. Lena would probably like to create and tell a story about getting past an army of villains in order to reunite with a group of friends. And Violet would probably like to create and tell a story about the cosmos’ deepest and most magical secrets.

Comic Review: Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime
Tumblr media
The Duck Comic Reading Club went mute this week, and since I kinda like talk about one comic per week, is time for the review of Infinity Dime.
I not going to go deep in the cover topic, since that has been discussed enough. And yeah, that cover shouldn't have been published. This is the first comic on this weekly reviews that I physically own, I have the Alex Ross cover, because, how could I not?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The story begins with a Christmas that never was. Donald and the boys were supposed to get together with Scrooge but couldn't make it. That turned Scrooge in a even bitter and angry old man.
This is a What if…? scenario, and I'm on board with that. I like those stories. My favorite is What If… The Punisher's Family had not been Killed in Central Park?
Tumblr media
They cut down the phrase for Ducktales '17.
Scrooge loneliness and bitterness consumed him. He knew something was missing. That's when he got a crazy and vicious idea.
Tumblr media
And now, this story is going into the multiversal route. Everything has to be like that now.
But, if is fun…
We see then a different Scrooge, who's sees in horror how the entire Bin is being stolen.
At first, he thought it was another Beagle Boys heist, but he eventually found out what we already knew. This is the work of….
Tumblr media
I really like the design here. How the Scrooge Above All wears all the dime he had take from all the others Scrooges. Is kinda morbid and tetric in a way.
Scrooge receives the beating of a lifetime and has no other choice but retreat. He now seeks the help of Gyro.
Tumblr media
Who looks way to happy.
The babies are there too, and they look adorable.
Tumblr media
That freaking guidebook has a section to everything imaginable.
Tumblr media
They said the thing.
They think the dime is a universal constant and that's how Scrooge Above All can travel to different universes. But turns out the dime wasn't the constant, it was Scrooge himself. Kinda like Harry Potter being a horrocrux.
Scrooge traveled the multiverse to get himself some help.
Tumblr media
Is so funny to see kid Scrooge there.
The Scrooge army beat the hell out of the Beagle Boys. They had the upper hand, until the Scrooge Above All appeared and kicked all their asses.
Tumblr media
But the Scrooge army had one more card up their sleeve.
Tumblr media
Ok, that hyped me up.
A horde of rage-driving Donalds must be the most scary thing ever.
With the Donalds attacking, the Scrooges turn the things in their favor, retreat the dimes from Scrooge Above All, who lose his magic, and is defeated. Nice and quick.
All the Bins return to their respective Scrooge, and Scrooge Above All learns what was he really missing. His family.
Tumblr media
Because, family is the greatest adventure of all.
By the way, is that Webby? It has to, who else would it be? Nice to see her.
Tumblr media
It was no masterpiece, or a must-read comic, but I liked it. It was simple and fun. I don't need that much more to have a nice time.
The comic had one more story, Christmas on Bear Mountain. But that's a tale for another day.

“You’re not best friends, you’re family!!”
NO!
SHUT UP, SCROOGE! YOU OVERLYCOMPETITIVE OUTRAGEOUS OSTRACIZED OPULENT OAF!
Dewey and Webby are BEST FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!
They can be both! Because they are!!
FRIENDS ARE NOT LESSER THAN FAMILY
BOTH ARE GOOD TITLES
Now why don’t you take your off-brand Monopoly board game and shove it up your ass so it can join the stick up there!
Bitch not even the Parker Brothers wanted anything to do with you
And they gave a board to Garfield!
That lazy cat has a Monopoly board and you don’t!
Scroogeopoly is probably only sold at one grocery store next to Fish-opoly and Wine-opoly

What I liked and didn't like about Gyro in 'The Last Adventure' (long post)
This is a repost from my defunct blog. Just a summary of what I liked and thought they could've done better in how the last episode handled Gyro, especially his relationship with Boyd:
Gyro and Boyd at Webby's 'birthday party' at Funso's
Tumblr media
This was in the beginning of the series finale 'The Last Adventure', and was the very first time Boyd was seen since 'Astro B.O.Y.D.' (which was only the 6th episode of the third season and came out May 2020; 'The Last Adventure' was the final episode and came out March 2021… just let that sink in).
Liked: It was so AWESOME to FINALLY see Gyro and Boyd together again, and I squealed so hard at this scene when I first watched this episode! He's spending time with Boyd at a birthday party, eeeee! (And I touched on the significance of this scene in this post).
Liked: Boyd could have hung out with Huey and the other kids (which definitely would've been awesome too), but he chose to spend time with his dad instead! That is so cute!!
Missed opportunity: Does anybody else wish Gyro had actually been smiling at seeing his son enjoying himself as a 'definitely real boy'?? Like, c'mon! (And back during the third season, Frank was asked on his Tumblr blog if Gyro and Boyd’s relationship was improving, and he emphasized- and I quote- “Oh, yes. Very much so", but we never really learned what that looked like.) I mean, it probably did warm Gyro's heart to spend time with Boyd and see him just being the happy, free child he'd truly become, but still, he could've looked less indifferent or awkward!
Tumblr media
Missed opportunity: Gyro should have laughed here while shielding his face from the candy, instead of the irritated reaction when it hit him. Sheesh, Gyro, lighten up! ☹ Why’s he still so easily irritable, especially when it’s just Boyd having a good time?
Tumblr media
Missed opportunity: Now that Gyro's attention has shifted from solely Boyd and more onto the main event, he's really got his typical grumpy expression on and is standing a bit further away from everyone else. It’s very disappointing he wasn’t shown to be at least a little happier and closer with everyone. It’s the final episode, all Scrooge’s friends and family have gathered together in one place for this very important event (not only to celebrate Webby’s birthday, but to finally take down their greatest threat of all), and all these characters have changed and grown so much since the start of the series or when they were very first introduced (which even Frank and Matt, the show’s creators, admitted in an interview). It would have been more meaningful if Gyro had been smiling like everyone else to show his character development since 'Astro B.O.Y.D.' I know people don’t change overnight, and Gyro had a LOT of trauma that affected him for so many years, but still… it would have been nice to show him with a little more growth.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Liked/Missed opportunity: During the entire scene where everyone was gathered around Webby for cake and the birthday song (which was the signal to destroy F.O.W.L.'s security cameras and launch their raid on their secret headquarters below Funso's), Boyd was sitting on Manny's arm instead of Gyro's shoulders. On the one hand, I like that Manny was holding Boyd because that tells me he became sort of an uncle-figure to him... but it would have been twice as cute if he was sitting on Gyro's shoulders, since that would've been more proof of how close they'd become!
Gyro and Boyd on Webby’s family board
Tumblr media
Liked: I LOVE that Boyd apparently became an official member of Team Science off-screen, and that there's a string linking Huey to Boyd to say they're best friends (because you wouldn't think so by his absence from the majority of the third season).
Missed opportunity: Why wasn't there a string linking Gyro and Boyd?? And why is there a string between Boyd and Doofus?? It was never actually confirmed whether or not Boyd went to live with Gyro or if he continued staying with the Drakes, but regardless, Gyro and Boyd are absolutely family (FAR more than Doofus was, since he only saw Boyd as a mere machine and an interloper in his family, and there's the little fact that Boyd never had a choice about being part of the Drakes' family... which is why I don't get why he'd choose to still live with them after 'Astro B.O.Y.D.' when he embraced his identity as his own free person with the ability to make his own choices)! Boyd was Gyro's first and greatest creation, his pride and joy, his son in every sense of the word!
Where was Boyd and Fenton after they found May and June?
Tumblr media
Missed opportunity: In this scene right after they find Webby's clones, we see Gyro, Huey, Lena, Beakley, Scrooge, Donald, and Della all gathered around, analyzing the clones and trying to figure out why F.O.W.L. created clones of Webby. But there's no reason why both Fenton and Boyd couldn't have been there too! They could have helped- Boyd is a highly resourceful Junior Woodchuck like Huey, and his brain is a supercomputer, making him super intelligent; and Fenton is a scientist (especially ever since Gyro promoted him at the end of 'Astro B.O.Y.D.')! And neither Fenton and Gyro nor Huey and Boyd interact at all in the final episode, so more missed opportunity to further develop their respective relationships too. And I mean, come on, why didn't they especially take what opportunities they had to have Gyro and Boyd share screentime or interact??
Tumblr media
In the same scene, most of the rest of the kids burst into the room, anxious to learn more about the mystery of Webby's clones too. But no Boyd (Gosalyn was nowhere to be seen in the mansion either, oddly enough, but I'm assuming she was there somewhere with Drake/Darkwing)!
In fact, we didn't see Boyd and Fenton again until later when everyone boarded the plane to go storm the Lost Library. I'm assuming in the above scene, Boyd was with Manny and Fenton (wherever those two were, but I'd like to think they were somewhere in the mansion too). It was a shame Boyd didn't at least interact with the other kids while everyone was at the mansion, because he didn't hang out with them for nearly the entire third season (not on-screen, anyway)!
"Look After Your Brother"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Liked: SELF-EXPLANATORY. :D :D And I love how sincere, protective, and loving Gyro sounded and looked when he entrusted Lil Bulb with Boyd's safety. This was their most dangerous threat yet, and Boyd's first adventure with the Ducks, and Boyd and Gyro had been together again after 20 years for only some months... so, it only made sense for Gyro to worry about his son (and what makes it even more touching is that Boyd is a superpowered robot, more than capable of taking care of himself, but Gyro still worried about him). He trusted Lil Bulb with Boyd's life!!
(And Lil Bulb would indeed look after Boyd; after the plane crashed when the kids were onboard alone, following Dewey's sky-battle with Don Karnage, Boyd lost his body. So, Lil Bulb removed his bulb and attached Boyd's head onto his own body, which is how they stayed for most of the rest of the episode.)
Missed opportunity: They didn't exchange a single word to each other or even hug, despite knowing what a dangerous mission it was. :( :(
Why didn't Gyro seem more worried for Boyd?
Missed opportunity: I covered this in a separate post here, but throughout most of the rest of the episode ever since Gyro learned Bradford captured and planned to destroy everyone even remotely associated with Scrooge and his family (and Gyro spent the majority of the time captured himself, along with HDL, Webby, Gandra, and Ludwig Von Drake), he never once showed any sign he worried about or missed Boyd. Not once did he bring Boyd up.
The victory scene at the end
Tumblr media
Liked: It was cool actually seeing Gyro and Fenton share screentime, even though they didn't interact!
Missed opportunity: Why the heck was Boyd/Lil Bulb standing so far away from Gyro and the rest of Team Science there (especially after they were separated the entire time)?? He should have been right there with them (especially in front of Gyro, or even in his arms)!
The plane-ride home
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Liked: AHHHH. Boyd lying in Gyro's lap as he reattached his head, Gyro tenderly cupping his head, both smiling so lovingly at each other! Together again where they belong, safe. It's so beautiful. YES. JUST YES. You can really see the love between them in this scene.
Missed opportunity: Like the "Look after your brother" scene, it's sad they didn't say anything to each other or even hug one last time!
The end credits
Tumblr media
Liked: BEAUTIFUL. The very last we'll ever see of them, and Gyro is smiling the biggest, happiest smile he's ever done in the entire series. In fact, I feel like this is the moment that perfectly summed up Gyro's healing journey and development (which we didn't really see after 'Astro B.O.Y.D.', but this almost makes up for that). He looks so happy and free. It's like it just hit him all-at-once here that he's no longer burdened by the demons of his past, that he's got Boyd in his life, and that he's part of Scrooge's family too.
Yeah, so many of these little details could have easily been improved without costing much time and budget. But when they nailed it, they nailed it!

Lena: We have a problem!
Violet: You mean beyond the fact that we were unceremoniously ejected from a flying aircraft and are now plummeting rapidly towards the Earth?
Lena: My magic- it's not working! I think I drained it again or something!!
Violet: Perfect.
Lena: Perfect!?
Violet: I now have a solution to both our problems.
Lena: What the heck does that m- OOOOF!
Violet: Say hello to Webbigail for me.
Lena: VIOLET-!!!
-
June: Webby, quick midair question-
May: Do you trust us.
Webby: Well you lied to me and manipulated my friends and attacked me and tried to abduct me and were created and raised by evil people who wanted to hurt my family- so uh, yeah! Sure why not!!!
June: Oh good! Because Lena just gave us these wrist string things-
May: -and we owe her one for cutting that other string thing.
Webby: You mean the red string that I used to connect her picture to mine? The one she literally blew up over after watching it get severed?
June: That's the one!
May: Tell her "sorry" from us, okay?
June: And not to worry about Violet- we'll be hanging out with her until she's done.
Webby: Done? Done with wh- AARGH!
May: Sorry for kicking you and also you're welcome!
Webby: Thank you but why-???
Webby: Lena!
Lena: Webby!?
Webby: Oh wow I tried running scenarios of this conversation on the way to F.O.W.L. but they always involved more time to think and less falling from the sky-
Lena: I'm sorry! I'm so sorry, Webby!
Webby: -what?
Lena: I- I got all jealous and possessive again, just like you and Vi's first sleepover-
Webby: Lena-
Lena: It was stupid and dumb! I was-
Webby: No, no you weren't! June and May were TRYING to split us up- they were literally sent by F.O.W.L. to do that, and I almost-
Lena: What, gave them the same chance you gave me?
Webby: ...alright fine, you win that point. But-
Lena: No.
Webby: Hmm okay. Even so-
Lena: No, that's not- look- I get what it's like having a sister now. I've got Vi, and it's awesome. It's the best thing EVER. You deserve that too. Okay?
Webby: O-okay.
Webby: ..... you made them friendship bracelets.
Lena: Yeah. I- that's what I should've done from the start.
Webby: It was really sweet, super kind, they definitely needed that! BUT- I know the whole bracelet thing started with me- I mean- I was the one that tied a string between our pictures on the great big board of relationships! But...
Lena: ... but?
Webby: I don't think we need a piece of string to keep us together.
Lena:
Lena: oh
Webby: We don't... Right?
Lena: ... yeah.
Webby: Aww, don't cry.
Lena: I'm- I'm not. It's the stupid wind-
Webby: OH RIGHT WE'RE STILL FALLING hey how's your magic?
Lena: Uhhh-
Webby: Right right I was worried about that, we really need to make sure you can have stable magic even if you're arguing with your friends- but we're short on time right now! So!!
Webby: ~Mwah~
Lena: wh-EBBY????
Webby: Glow, my beautiful angelic sorceress! Go save our respective shamelessly scheming little sisters!
Lena: I- you-
Lena: ...
Lena: N-nice.
Webby: Oh oh a FISTBUMP! We haven't done that since-!
Lena: The night we met, yeah. Wanna blow it up?
Webby: Sound effects or for real??
Lena: Oh we can totally do both this time.
Webby: YES! Can you try exploding me in the direction of the boys and Scrooge!?
Lena: Anything for you, Pink. Ready?
Webby: READY!
Lena: Ka-pwish.
Webby: BOOM!
Lena: Pop pop pop-
Webby: Neyooooooooo~
Lena: Kra-KOOM!
Webby: WOO HOO!!! Call me! Oh and tell June and May thanks for kicking me!!
Lena: I will!
Lena: ...I ..... definitely will... once I stop feeling like I just exploded...
-
Violet: Greetings, sorceress. You seem especially shiny today.
Lena: Don't. Ask.
Violet: Very well. I shall observe.
Violet: I see that your magic has miraculously recovered.
Lena: Ugh.
June: Does that happen every time Webby kisses you on the cheek?
Lena: ..I don't know.
May: Oh duck please tell me that wasn't the first-
Lena: HELLO! Thank you for flying with Sky Sorcery Services! This is your sorceress speaking! Would everyone PLEASE stay quiet until we've safely landed so I can get as far away from you all as possible??
Violet: Away from everyone except Webbigail I presume.
Lena: You know what? I've changed my mind, little sisters are the WORST.
June: Thanks!
Violet: We do try.
May: I count as a little sister too, right? June??
June: Heheh.
May: June tell me I'm a little sister too now and I have immunity- Why are you smirking!? JUNE-

DT timeline from fowl (theory/headcanon)
In the early 60's Bradford was still young with a full head of hair, met and teamed up with black heron, making f.o.w.l…
Some time a little later in the mid 60's Heron tried to get the formula for gummi-berry juice, meanwhile Scrooge just joined s.h.u.s.h. as a new philanthropist, he and Beakley beat Heron, and Bradford must have just found out his partner in crime just got defeated by those two.
Scrooge's big Christmas party probably happened in the late 70's that would be a whole new decade later for him to age into the state we see him at the Christmas party where he and Scrooge apparently first met face to face.
Ludwig Van Drake got kidnapped by f.o.w.l. sometime after the 70's or at least some time after the Christmas party. If they had the stone of what was at the time and didn't lose it yet. It would be very easy to fake someone's death by just leaving a lifeless clone of that person to be found. Before being kidnapped, he still trusted Bradford enough at the time for Bradford to easily lure him somewhere to capture him.
Later in the early 90's is when Donald and Della come to stay with Scrooge and "The First Adventure". After which Bradford becomes Scrooge's new CFO, and starts his 30 year plan to get the papyrus of binding back.
Then either that year or some other year after that Dewy time travels back to meet his mom and uncle as kids for Christmas.
Around 2006, Scrooge built the Spear of Selene and Bradford told Della about it, basically instigating the Spear of Selene fiasco.
Beakley attempted to shut down f.o.w.l. once and for all but finds a baby duckling who she named Webby and goes into hiding at McDuck manner. This is possibly also when f.o.w.l. lost the Stone of what was.
Possibly after that, Bradford causes Duckworth's death, either directly or indirectly.
August 12, 2017, the triplets meet their uncle Scrooge for the first time.(DuckTales 2017 officially started)
September 23, 2017, "The great dime chance!"
April 2018, "The Beast in the Board Room!"
July 7, 2018, Black Heron made a second attempt at recreating gummi-berry juice but was stopped by Webby.
August 11, 2018 "the last crash of the sunchaser!"
August 18, 2018, Magical DeSpell was released, The Shadow war happened. Then Magica lost her magic.
September 2018, "Countdown to Termination!"
December 24, 2018, "Last Christmas!" takes place.
May 13, 2019, Della returned to earth and reunited with (most) of her family.
September 9, 2019, Timephoon.
September 11, 2019, Louie became the richest duck in the world. Bradford tricked him into releasing the zombie bombie, where Louie ended up cutting the funding to McDuck's satellites before giving the wealth back to scrooge.
September 12, 2019, The Moonvasion happened. And after that ended f.o.w.l. came back "from the shadows".
April 4, 2020, the ducks found the lost journal of Isabella Finch. And f.o.w.l. was watching them.
April 4, 2020, "Quack Pack!" the ducks found the lamp of Alli Babah.
April 11, 2020, "Double-O-Duck in you only crash twice" the Intelli-ray was invented using the Third Eye Diamond.
April 18, 2020, The lost Harp of Mervana was found.
September 21, 2020, "The Phantom and the Sorceress", Magica got her magic back.
October 12, 2020, The Forbidden Fountain of the Foreverglades was found by the ducks.
October 19, 2020, "Let's Get Dangerous!" Bradford got outed as the leader of f.o.w.l.
October 26, 2020, Bradford distracts the Ducks as f.o.w.l. steals all the missing mysteries that were found.
November 2, 2020, the split sword of Swanstantine was recovered by the ducks from f.o.w.l.
November 23, 2020, the blessed bagpipes of clan McDuck was recovered by the Ducks.
March 1, 2021, The Ducks recovered the stone of what was, but f.o.w.l. was able to get back a piece of it.
March 15, 2021, the events of "The Last Adventure" Happened happened. f.o.w.l. was defeated and Bradford got turned into a feral vulture by Magica.

Hey guys, I'm obsessed with Ducktales so I'm making an AU for it
Tumblr media
We all know that Donald has anger issues and sees a therapist.
Well, what if a bit after the triplets are born and a while since Della has left there's an incident. He loses his tempor and one of the boys gets hurt, not badly, it's just a scratch, but he still feels horrible about it.
Donald is super anxious, so it's no surprise that he starts constantly worrying about accidentally hurting them again.
After talking to his therapist they decided that it would be best to send HDL to a foster family while maintaining guardianship until he's made more progress and can control his anger better.
They make arrangements, child services suggest trying to contact any relatives first.
While Donald insists that Scrooge is unfit to parent the boys, they call him anyway. Suprise suprise, he doesn't answer no matter how hard they try to talk to him. He's too busy pouring all his time into finding Della, ignoring anything else, he doesn't even find out about what's happening with his nephews.
Normally his close friend and housekeeper would answer these calls, but she has her hands so full with baby Webby (who's just shy of a year younger than HDL) that they go unnoticed.
Gladstone says that he would love to take them in but he's currently planning for a four year long expedition that includes traveling to casinos for gambling and drinking, not very kid friendly. He'd postpone, but the opportunity to visit some of the venues only opens once in a thousand years, and he is determined to win some big money in those legendary casinos. (hint hint, he gets trapped in one of them).
Feathery offers to take them, and child services denies due to the fact that he lives alone underwater. The conditions aren't safe for young children to grow up, but HDL will be allowed to visit once in a while if requested, as the facility itself is sound. He isn't willing to abandon his work on the edge of a breakthrough and move to a house above sea level.
So it's decided they will go to foster for a bit, Donald's only condition is that they don't get separated no matter what. He figures that even if something happens that they can't talk to him again, they'd always have each other. Everyone agrees to this and the paperwork is brought out.
Things are good for the first year, they go to this nice couple with an older kid, see their uncle on weekends, and start at public school. Donald's therapy is making progress, but he hasn't been able to hold down a job so the boys are to stay with the foster until he's financially stable.
Then Dewey gets into a fight. It wasn't his fault, really, but these older boys were picking on him so he punched them.
Louie tries to stay out of it, he's the smallest of the trio since he hatched last, and when one of the boys comes at him he uses his size to duck under them and run off. He goes to get a teacher.
Huey attempts to break it up at first, but after they push Dewey to the ground and try to hurt Louie, overprotective big brother loses his tempor.
He beats the bullies up, despite them being two years ahead. They aren't so injured they need medical attention but one of them hit their head and passed out, while the other two are bleeding and cowering against the wall when a teacher arrives.
HDL gets blamed for the incident, and they all get in trouble while the bullies get off. Despite Louie's protests, he's been marked down for cheating on a test and the school assumes he was part of it as well. Usually, they would just get detention, maybe a short suspension, however, one of the bullies just happens to be the son of a very influential school board member.
So the triplets end up expelled, after a lot of exaggeration over the incident and some crocodile tears from the bullies. They use Donald's anger issues against them, to prove that the boys are unstable. At this point they had only been in school a few months.
The school board talks to child services and recommends that the triplets are sent to homes or schools for troubled children. After half-ass assessing the boys, they ignore Donald's request and split them up.
Huey was able to play things down for himself, he's not a good liar but he's a goodie two shoes who managed to appeal to them. He stays with their original family for the time being and is moved to a different public school, while attending semi-regular therapy sessions for a bit.
Dewey is abrasive but hasn't been in trouble with the school before this. He tells them that the older boys started the fight, and while they don't entirely believe this story they go easy on him. They notice that he's very hyperactive, with love for adventure. Dewey is sent to Cape Suzette, where other foster/orphan children with a lot of energy have gone and seen promising results. They believe that being able to put his mind into more complicated things will calm his spirit. He bounces around the city a bit, and becomes friends with Kit who knew his mom from flight school (although they were never very close).
Louie gets it the worst, despite being the only one not involved in the fight. The bullies had claimed that he had been the one to start the whole thing, and the school board was very biased in their favour. Louie had previously managed to trick these three into giving him extra dessert at lunch, so this was their form of payback.
No matter how much he tried to explain that it wasn't true, the previous marks on his record for cheating made him out to be a bad kid. In actuality, he only tried to cheat because he was too lazy to do the work. He's a smart kid and he knew the answers, he could have passed just fine.
Thus, Louie ends up at a home for 'troubled boys'. He's one of the youngest, definitely the smallest, and way out of his element considering he was falsely accused.
The fight happened on Monday, the expulsion was finalized on Wednesday, and the boys were moved by Friday. On Saturday Donald is told that HDL got into a fight at school, and they believe his anger issues may have been a negative influence, so they want to pause the weekly visits for a little bit. Believing that they know best, and not having been told that the triplets were split up, Donald doesn't argue. He only asks if the boys were hurt at all, to which he gets a truthful "no, minus a few scratches".
AND THUS
THe boys have been separated, at an age where they would hardly rmbr once they grow up, and Donald has lost contact with them.
Do they manage to find each other and reunite once again? Do the triplets ever end up in a stable home? Does Scrooge get off his ass and become a parent figure to Webby? Will Donald attempt to contact his nephews again or become discouraged by everyone telling him he's unfit to be a parent?
We'll just have to wait and see.
I've been calling it the "finding family au" but I suppose you could also call it "split up au" as well.
This is the basic backstory, which I probably won't draw out, and we have a little more to go through until we get to the start of the actual story. I plan to make a mini comic for that little prelude, although it may take a bit to finish.
Send me asks about this and I will love u forever, I'm working on drawing designs for the triplets rn.
Yes, many more characters will be included. I have plans for team science, team heroes, team magic, May + June, and Goldie. If u have anyone else u wanna see let me know!

Webby Reviews Horror: We Need to Do Something (2021)
Tumblr media
We Need to Do Something is a movie about a family trapped in their bathroom during a violent and possible unnatural storm. The premise really set my expectations high, but left me pretty disappointed, to be quite honest.
Don't let the little blurb at the bottom of the above poster fool you- if you're expecting anything like the Saw franchise, you're going to be let down. (That said, Jigsaw would definitely put the dad character in a trap and I'd pay to see it.)
Review under the cut, and as always, SPOILERS ahead!
It starts off with some promise. A storm is coming, gather your family into the safest room in the house until it's passed. I've done it plenty of times in my life and I daresay I'll do it again- so I have what you might call some experience. Which, clearly, this family lacks, as they bring absolutely NOTHING by way of supplies. Not snacks, not blankets and pillows, not spare chargers, NOTHING. Aside from Dad's thermos with what appears to be an alcoholic beverage of some sort and a few board/card games.
The bathroom itself is nice and big, which makes me wonder about the rest of the house, but we never actually get to see it. With the exception of a few flashback scenes, the entire movie takes place in the bathroom. (I'm officially calling it- Bathroom Horror is now its own sub-genre. I'm going to make a list.)
My one complaint about the bathroom is but a simple one- why in the name of CAD does the only door open OUTWARDS? Go ahead, look at all the bathroom doors in your house for me. Hell, ANY of the doors in your house. They all open inward, do they not? This simple issue is what causes the rest of the movie to unfold the way it does, so it's not like it was an oversight or anything. It's just baffling to me.
Now onto the characters. I couldn't really feel much attachment to any of them, but I did feel sorry for the kids. Dad's an alcoholic asshole, Mom's a passive aggressive adulterer, and they spend most of the movie bitching at each other at the slightest provocation. The kids are better, they're just fairly typical kids. Sister's a teenager who snarks at her kid Brother (age not stated that I recall, but he's younger than 11 I'd say? I genuinely cannot estimate people's ages.) who pokes fun right back at her. Fairly decently written siblings.
I spent most of the movie waiting for things to get weird, to get creepy, but almost the entire time is spent watching them slowly just unravel- which could have been fine and dandy except I was promised something MORE. And it would have been fine if we were given any indication of how much time has passed, because otherwise they start losing their shit about ten minutes into the storm.
The storm brings down a tree directly through the roof of whatever room the bathroom is attached to and blocks the door, which, again, opens outward for some reason. The 'windows' are far too small to be of any use, and Dad claims the walls are *checks notes* SIX FEET THICK. Now, I never actually used my drafting training to actually make anything, but I'm pretty damn sure nobody builds houses with walls that are six feet thick.
There are so many hilarious moments, but I get the sense that they weren't intended to be funny. But how else am I meant to respond to things like the World's Most Aggressive Rattlesnake and the demon not!dog? Or when, in some kind of fit of madness, Dad starts whipping Mom with the dead rattlesnake after having bitten its head off? ('Like Ozzy,' he says, because 'snakes are just bats that can't fly!')
Most of the dialogue is weirdly phrased or just unrealistic in general, as well as their decision-making. Not once do they search for anything to try to unscrew the door hinges. Towards the final scenes, Mom is able to bust through a part of the wall that leads... Elsewhere? But they didn't bother with doing that anytime beforehand, only after two of them are dead and demons kill the only other people they hear from.
But by far the most unrealistic part is when, in complete seriousness, Daughter confesses that she and her goth gf might have summoned the demon storm with a spell they found on the internet and then didn't even do right. And her parents BELIEVE HER lmao. Like, right away, even. No 'oh sweetie that's ridiculous' or anything.
Some parts felt too rushed through, and some felt too drawn out, and some I wished were handled differently. There was a lot that could have been done with this story, and it really did have some good beats, but overall it felt awkward and kind of boring. And the worst part is the ending- it finally got interesting! Mom comes back from checking what was going on outside (absolutely COVERED in blood by the by) and outright refuses to say what she saw, then there's Sounds coming from the hole she crawled through, they scream, and it ends. We never even got to see the Demon whose tongue they (for some reason???) decided to eat.
I really did want to like the movie, I did, but you can't promise me a supernatural storm and then make me sit through a whole lot of pointless, baffling family drama when there's demons and shit out there. I give this one four outta ten ghosts. It just didn't work for me, but it had me laughing whether or not it meant to. Both times I watched it, I could not help but laugh when the kids are excitedly letting the 'dog' that's just out of their view lick their hands and asking 'oh who's a good boy?' only to be horrified when it answers, gleefully, 'I'm a good boy!' as it licks them.

For starters, kinda to get this out of the way, the art book revealed that had DT17 gotten a fourth season, "The Last Adventure!" would've ended with a tease of a new and 8th continent called New Scroogea. (My guess is the Sunchaser crashing into the DuckTales logo at the end of the credits would've been that tease.) No doubt that was gonna be the main plot point for the season, so I can see a hypothetical movie set in between seasons 3 and 4 and even ending with that repurposed tease.
As for character interactions and cameos and what not…
Episodes focusing on various unexplored or underexplored dynamics (duck cousins, Della and Daisy, Scrooge and Lena, to name a few)
Donaisy and Magicstone double date, which the art book also revealed to have been a season 4 episode idea
A McDuck Manor supernatural sleepover featuring ALL of the kids!
Hortense, Quackmore, and Elvira/Grandma Duck appearances
Little moments of Launchpad working on the Thunderquack, foreshadowing his major role in Matt and Frank's pitch for a DWD reboot
A few episodes or storylines centered on specific characters processing and adjusting to the revelation of Webby being Scrooge's clone daughter
Occasional moments of what Johnny, Randy, and their dad have been doing post-Ottoman Empire
Della and Penumbra officially becoming a couple (If Chibiverse could make them canon, then so can our ideas for the proposed fourth season!)
More appearances from supporting characters with smaller roles and minor characters like Amunet, D'jinn, Quackfaster, etc.
A few more episodes involving Scrooge's rogue's gallery; one episode could have the Beagle Boys as the antagonists, another centered on Glomgold, and the third dedicated to Magica
Another Gizmocloud episode centered on what it's like upon its completion
Mark Beaks' overobsession with stealing the Gizmoduck armor causing not only major damage to Waddle but also becoming the cataclyst to him eventually joining the Fearsome Five in Matt and Frank's DWD reboot pitch
Scenes or even a storyline centered on Donald, Daisy, May, and June's vacation
An episode about Scrooge trying to hire new board of directors now that Bradford, Bentley, and Buford are officially out of the picture
A second Halloween episode centered on Della's haunted house idea gone wrong. Maybe in her efforts to wanting it to be as scary as possible, everyone is accidentally and gradually cursed to become whatever costumes they are wearing, prompting her and her family to try and undo the curse at the witching hour or else they'll be stuck in their costume-turned-real states forever. (A possible title I have is "The Haunted McManor!")
A potential Drake von Vladstone/Dracula Duck appearance or cameo? Another idea I have ties back into my Halloween episode idea, with Scrooge's costume being a vampire that resembles Dracula Duck due to both characters looking alike.
A third Christmas episode; this isn't as fleshed out as my Halloween story idea, but one potential plot point I have involves all nine main protagonists traveling to Santa's workshop
Ludwig becoming a supporting character, from returning to SHUSH as its lead director to interacting with various characters like Team Science, Beakley, Scrooge, Webby, May, and June
What the surviving FOWL agents have been up to after the organization's downfall (Jeeves is not part of the survivors because Frank confirmed in the DuckTales Guidebook that he got killed by being stuck in the sand and the stone wall crashing down on him). Who would seek redemption? Who would stick to their villainous ways and become the occasional villain-of-the-day?
A Team Magic episode centered on the girls coming across Poe in his raven form (An idea I have for its resolution is him returning to his anthropomorphic duck form, but a slight imperfection in the reversal spell grants him the ability to switch between his normal and now sentient raven forms.)
Fellow lovers of ducktales for umm research purposes(tootally not a secret project) if the reboot had a season four what kind of things would you like to see from episodes,to character interaction and cameos
