He's floating.

He's on the floor.

"Good morning, Marquis."

He doesn't know where he is.

He's floating.

He's lying on the floor.

He's sitting on a red space rock that might be classified as a dwarf planet on Earth.

He's staring at the wall.

There's a blanket around him that doesn't quite cover his legs.

He doesn't really know where he is.

He doesn't know how long it's been.

"Good morning, Marquis." He waits for a theoretical breath. "How far are we from the last checkpoint?"

Breath stops automatically. He's trained himself not to breathe as much. Maybe only a couple every few months. He should conserve his oxygen. He looks out into the vast abyss where light is sparse and he barely sees a thing. He should conserve his solar energy.

"What's the estimate to get back to 'Kansas'?" He asks in a bout of whims. He isn't sure he wants to know. There aren't that many civilizations out here. Perhaps 'Kansas' was the only habitable planet with co-existing species for another several light years.

He's so tired of calculating distance by lightyears.

He's never yearned for miles and kilometers in his life.

Is this much of a life?

"Good morning, Marquis."

He's a little fed up.

He's trying to keep his thoughts and feelings in the absence way back in the hidden crevices of his mind. He wants no part of it. He doesn't want to think. 

Because if he starts, he won't ever stop.

He won't stop thinking about Earth, and temperature, and photographs, and screaming, and showers, and...

He takes a breath.

"Good morning, Marquis."

Clark unsticks from the dwarf planet. It's been his home for the past several months for all he knows. There is no sun to rise and set. There is no concept of time out here.

Marquis would know, though. He gave Marquis the parameters to measure that sort of thing.

Distance and time and maybe even his sanity. 

He searched for something like a year for his luggage. The personal survival kit holding his very heart and home, the last pieces of it, in the form of his Superman suit.

He's human at heart. He wasn't built for this.

"Marquis, take me back to 'Kansas'."

He moves, and moves, and floats, and kicks at his blanket. He feels short threads of carpet poking at his soles. There's a small breeze coming from the door or the window. He doesn't know. He's not looking that way.

He should breathe again.

"Good morning, Marquis." He blinks, finding himself shivering at the non-existent temperature. It's all in his head. He knows it is. Right? "I'm sorry, Marquis."

He looks down at his left palm. It's much the same as before. He hasn't actually looked at it in years, though. But now, it holds the mangled bits of his sole conversation partner.

He continues on. He'll find 'Kansas' again. It'll only take another year if he keeps heading straight. He might recognize these stars, far and few as they are.

At some point, he allows the thoughts to wash over him momentarily. It gives him that brief respite from apathy, from the cold, from the singularity.

He flinches from it.

He blinks, slow and wanting.

He's floating.

He's on the floor.

"Good morning, Marquis."

He doesn't know where he is.

Clark has Brain Worms

Sightless lilac eyes, white gold hair that shone with sticky red blood and features I had seen in Laena.

Aemon Targaryen’s corpse gurgled and burst into blazing red sparks that made my body feel like hot fire had landed as I was pelted with it as much as the sea below me was. I reach out hopelessly, and I hit the sea with an all mighty crash.

I shoot up in bed, my hair in disarray and heart pounding like I had just won a marathon. My stomach cramps uncomfortably, and I throw off my sheets.

Wall of text and incoherent rambling incoming.

OKAY OKAY so this started in the jayjon discord where someone mentioned Ultraman Jon and it went buckwild, @fae-morrigan did a lot but basically what we got is:

Earth-3(ish? Let's just say evil Jon of some flavor in another universe tbh) Jon is basically everything people feared about Jon as a concept in-universe coming true, proving evil Tim from that super sons arc, Damian's initial fears when he heard about Jon killing his cat, and The Spectre's probable visions of future Jon right.

This Jon places importance on his kryptonian side over his human side and perceives himself as better than humans, even Clark, because remember how Jon has often pointed out that Clark fails? He took that to the next level and went from "we can all improve" to "I saw the fault and I am objectively stronger because of the lightning thing and therefore I am better than all of you".

Add some teenage angst into the mix, ennui from the life Clois want for him, and a constant repetition from heroes(like Batman) and villains(like Manchester Black) around him that he's supposed to be evil and being treated like he's a bomb that's about to go off leads to a self-fulfilling prophecy of absolutely evil Jon.

Also the rest of the new JL are also evil idk why but roll with me here.

Also also, he kills clois here- I'm thinking Lois was an accidental kill and Clark was an intentional kill because he just knows Clark is not going to let him off easy for the Lois death thing. He is absolutely haunted by their shadows but pretends it was a power move.

NOW. The JayJon of it all!

Jay's just a regular dude, he's younger than Jon here. Jon intervenes with the Bendix plan early-on but not early enough to prevent Sara dying. This is like a 16-17 year old Jon and 15-16 year old Jay. Jon's freshly out of the patricide and matricide thing, everyone's terrified of him and kind of want him dead, he feels highly out of control and unsafe.

Jay thinks Jon just saved him from experimentation and a life of torture and an early death so he just, sees Jon as a hero. And thus begins the truly fucked up dynamic of Jay sorta being his 'boyfriend'(prisoner). Jay very quickly realizes he just got shifted from a dingy prison to a shiny and pretty one but this one, no one's saving him from it.

Jon sees Jay more as a harmless pet he can go vent to rather than a person. Evil!New Jl pay no mind to Jay at all. His sense of idnetity is wrapped around Jon because ya know, no Revolutionaries, no mom, no goal for him to reach, no way for him to actually fight Jon on anything.

Jay's fucking terrified of Jon, but also kinda sorta loves him because Jon's his only proper contact who communicates with him, and he's the only person who gets to see the scared kid behind the evil tyrant shtick. It's wrong, he knows on some level it's wrong but he can't give a shit because there's no point when he's so firmly trapped.

Regular Jon, aka our Jon goes on another multiverse trip, sees all of the above going down, has an existential crisis when he sees a Jay who's all sweet with him because he's afraid of him and goes "okay no I must kill myself"(if this were a comic arc, oh all the horrible meta things that can happen here with regard to regular Jon's perception of himself, his hatred of his own power and fear of losing control, him being okay with killing an evil version of himself- the one time he even considers the no-kill Superfam rule inapplicable).

Regular Jon and Evil Jon fight, they end in a draw. Enter Jay with kryptonite looking like he's about to attack regular Jon but he hugs evil Jon and stabs him instead. Evil Jon on-reflex attacks Jay fatally.

Evil Jon having a flashback to how he killed Lois, how he keeps being stuck in some awful cycle of his own making and he laughs that after everything he did, he gets killed by a regular human whom he thought posed him no harm. Jay's freaking bawling because oh shit oh shit he's killed the person he loves.

Jay, probably bleeding from a heat vision burn or something: "I am so sorry, I'm sorry" Evil Jon, dramatic bloody coughing: "I never thought you of all people would be my ruin"

And, Evil Jon dies, Jay lives, unsure wtf to do.

Regular Jon makes a note to tell regular Jay that he has free reins to kill him if he sees fit and decides to never tell anyone about Evil Jon ever.

I have like, eight different evil Jon or morally grey Jon ideas I feel like he's the most fun when he sorta becomes what everyoen fears but not really. DC should really embrace that hey maybe he could be the Jason of Superfam but we can skip all the shit characterizations over a decade thing.

What if JayJon but it's Earth-3 evil Jon and Earth-3 Jay?
