Just focus on the message. *Capsules for Daily Living* *December 24, 2021* *Greatness from the Manger* and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. Luke 2:7 With all the prophecies surrounding his birth, many would have thought that the birth of the Saviour will be announced with much pomp and pageantry, yet this occurred on a normal day and in a manger of all places. The humility of the Saviour Jesus Christ was evident right from birth. With God, the starting point is not as important as the finishing point. Jesus came to us as in a manger, but left with us everlasting life. Your beginning may be small, but your ending will be great. Your beginning will not determine how you end. You have every opportunity to rewrite aspects of your life so you have a good ending. Don't despise small beginnings. Jesus began from a manger, yet touched the whole world with His life. You also will become great out of your humble beginnings. Wishing I was asleep right now, but it’s hard to sleep when you’re on your way to summer camp the next day! My three coming along for the trip — Dairian, Zion and Kella — are excited, too! We are heading out for a week-and-a-half of Missouri teen camps at Camp Hebron — senior high this week and junior high the next. This week, I am the tag-team camp speaker with Jessie Cruickshank, who kicked things off tonight. We’ll arrive Wednesday afternoon, and I get to share Thursday and Friday’s messages to wrap the week up. I just finished working on Thursday’s message, which is about “dirt and stuff” (don’t want to give too much away), but... IT’S IN YOU! Friday’s message is the post-camp message that I’ve always wanted to share at camp. So looking forward to it! Then, we have to figure out what we’re doing over the weekend (who’s church should we visit this year?) and then come back to play drums with the worship band for week 2. #RockNRoll #CampMatters #ItsInYou #CampAllSummerLong #WeAreFoursquare
