There's something incredibly poignant about characters that have one of more hands replaced with weapons. Where you would expect a highly multipurpose appendage (hand) instead there is something that does one very specific thing (kill things) very effectively. It's a great way of showing how a character has been dehumanized, that half of the primary way they interact with objects is killing. I don't know, I just think it's neat. I like specialized tools, and that it's a very potent metaphor to replace hands with those tools, since it show you exactly what that character is going to do to interact with the world.

saw some people talking about ai art on my dash so i decided to fire SD up again

had to do quite a bit of inpainting for this one. couldn't get the feet to come out right no matter what i did :( the 'multiple girls' negative prompt was an artifact from some earlier tries at making doll girls; it really wants to have a girl holding a doll, so i had to prompt that out.

Heya someone personally recommended your blog for all the art all cool concepts of characters creation and I have to pass here fo say I really really love your style! It's like you really have the great base of gunoid characters that could be in many scenarios, I specially got a vibe these could be from some sort of "classic shmup game" at times, amazing stuff! I wonder if you had any experience with these if that would make sense

Some inspo for me are the Death Smiles and Dodonpachi games, kinda combining mecha and dollcore aesthetics. you can kinda see that in the stuff i make.

Yasushi Suzuki is also a really big inspiration. Ikaruga, Radiant Silvergun and the Sin a Punishment games (not shmup but whatever) are one of my favourites.

Also Zero Ranger is pretty cool too!! kinda off-topic but just wanna mention it lol

it's just the two of them, here. anybody else would just be a distraction. and besides, it's personal: each would never let the other die at anyone else's hand. swords and guns and magic and fists. maybe if things had been different, if the Accord hadn't been violated, maybe--

but there is no maybe here, only the present.

when she finally pierces her opponent's core with her sword, she does not celebrate or taunt or sneer. just a simple statement, met with a sad smile and a nod.

A couple streams later and we’ve made a bunch of progress!

The big miner (aka the Drillhead) is now mostly operational (only missing a couple of large thrusters) and we’ve even tacked on a jump drive because we get a lot of enemy contacts so the less time it spends travelling between the station and an ore deposit, the better. With it making trips more frequently, we’ve had to add a huge ore storage just behind where the miner docks so it can dump its contents and get back out there faster without sacrificing capacity.

There’s a rough docking gantry on the production wing, as well as gravity generators, cryopods, and a small ship docking platform.

The station’s heaviest firepower has tragically been removed owing to Weaponcore being unceremoniously stripped from the modpack without warning, but with its shielding we should still be a reasonable force to be reckoned with here.

I'm live on the hour with some more of my space station project in Space Engineers! Hope to see some of you there :D

My goal today is mainly to find gold, ironically so I can finish constructing the ship I need to mine gold...
