Soft Sunday:4day weekend
Osamu/Atsumu/Mattsun
First full day lots of lazy activities… these three work a lot so I’m sure the first day would be alot lounging and “adult” activities.
Second day- probably a day trip outside the city. Fresh air and picnics. Bonus if there is local small festival going on.
Third day: they are very much gonna be taking me to any art happenings going on. Art fairs may not be the Miya twins personal thing to go to, but they enjoy learning about my world like I enjoy learning about their world of interests
Fourth day: home and maybe brunch out with friends and family. More cuddling soft kisses with back and foot rubs.🥰
Kuroo gets his own section cause he got a family to keep occupied. He would plan out three day family getaway. Ghibli Museum tour( he totally booked it for me and the kids). Oh we totally hitting up the Mario world theme park( family competition at Mario kart). Just cause he loves me especially he will take me to the Sailor Moon museum and BUY the jimmy choo sailor moon red boots.
Finished third & fourth day taking a trip out the country side to star gaze. Camp out. Cuddling when the kids are sleep. Giving him kisses cause he the best dad and hubby ever.
Soft Sunday: Four Day Weekend With: Osamu/Atsumu/Mattsun/Kuroo
I also would like a four day weekend with Mattsun. If he keeps me to himself for certain activities for a whole day I'm not gonna complain. Since I'm not feeling well, I might ask him to cook for me (and let me watch.) He is way too handsome.
For the other days, I might want to go to a sports bar with him. I want to play darts and have some bar snacks. We can pretend to be competitive against each other even though it's actually just flirting. Maybe go to karaoke after, I don't know.
A day to hang out with friends and family would be good too. Seeing him interact with nieces and nephews (does he have siblings? I can't remember). Or just seeing him act dumb with the other Seijoh boys.
Day four is a rest day for me too! We can lounge on the sofa and watch movies and catch up on any shows we've been watching. For dinner we can order pizza! And yeah, I expect lots of kisses throughout the day.

if you've sent in an ask lately that i didn't respond to, it may be answered under the cut! i'll be dividing these posts up by general subject matter so no one has to scroll for too long to find any asks they may have sent. feel free to block the tag #liv got mail if you don't like seeing posts like this. i'm sorry to have kept you waiting, and p.s. i love you very much <3
part two: general inquiries ✉
✉ Anonymous asked: omg liv did you watch the barbie movie
I HAVENT SEEN IT YET!!! when i tell u that everything that can happen in a lifetime has happened to me in the past 14 calendar days i am NOT!! KIDDING!! but i have plans to go see it with two of my best friends (either this weekend or early next week) and we've all secretly planned pink outfits and we're going out for drinks too it's going to be SOOOOOOOOO FUN!! oh how i love being a woman!!
✉ Anonymous asked: Liv i got my underarms waxed and it hurt. Have you ever gotten your underarms waxed? If so did you bleed a bit? Cause I did and I wanna know if that’s normal lol
i've gotten waxes but not my underarms but a quick google told me pinpoint bleeding is probably ok?? that being said i am about the LEAST qualified person on this beautiful earth to whom u could direct this question. what's next? questions about cars?? taxes?? i am not smart enough 4 this!!
✉ Anonymous asked: Liv is it true that your work can access all your social media accounts thru your email? If so, I may need to make another acc
hi friend i am no cyber security whiz by any means but i always operate under the assumption that anything that comes into or goes out of or is in anyway linked to a company email BELONGS to the company. i treated my college email the same way. even using company wifi is dicey in terms of privacy, so just use your best judgement and i would advise that it's always better to err on the side of caution <3
✉ Anonymous asked: real talk liv how long after sending a text should i stop waiting for a reply back because i feel like a sad SIMP
u know what i am probably biased here bc i am TRULY the worst texter in the world. my phone has been on do not disturb since at least 2019. i do not wish to be contacted ever (unless i'm texting u first in which case i expect an immediate response tysm xo)
with that in mind, i think it's not fair to CONSTANTLY expect immediate communication bc a lot of factors play into that (work, social lives, sleep, time actively trying to be unplugged, current mental state, etc.) HOWEVER!! when it comes to romantic dalliances (which i am interpreting this as and i'm sorry if i'm misreading) i think there's kind of fair expectation of communication if interest if reciprocated. i know it's so cringe n cliche but the whole "if they wanted to they would" thing has at least a vein of truth in it, so if you feel like ur energy/effort isn't being met (especially if it was previously and this is a sudden change) i think that's always a bit of a red flag. maybe not red. yellow? or like a deep yellow veering on orange.
sending u love little guy and wishing u all the best!! u deserve to be the SIMPEE not the SIMPER <3

Happy weekend, wanderers!
I know I typically post about adventures, but I thought I would try something new. Every once in a while it's nice to just recognize the wonderful, sometimes mundane things we've been up to.
Adventuring is a lot of fun, but we are homebodies through and through. We are falling into our own rhythms and routines here which means that the house gets dirty and the kids leave their backpacks on the floor. It looks a lot like unpacking and washing dishes every night and meal planning.
Perhaps you are here for the highlights and I appreciate that! I just couldn't appreciate them without acknowledging the very normal day-to-day activities we fall into.
This is life lately:
1
Fall is playing hide and seek with us. Some days are crisp and wonderful, while others are still a little warmer than I'd like. It's also been raining the past few days which has me in a cozy mood.
The only things I want to do on gloomy days is listen to some music, light candles and read or journal. For me, one of the best ways to enjoy those moments is with a cup of hot tea and a treat.
Baking has always been a happy place of mine. Is it cute and pristine during the process? Absolutely not. But good thing we can just zoom the camera on the finished product instead right? These were delicious double chocolate scones that I made for some friends and neighbors.
I've been making more time to be in community with the women around me. It's been life giving. Each place we have lived, I've always wanted to make it a goal to invest in our community. This place has honestly made it so easy to do. It's been wonderful.
2
The dragonflies are EVERYWHERE here. It's said that dragonflies represent the arrival of fall and are highly revered as they symbolize courage, strength, happiness, agility, power and victory. They also have a powerful tie to samurais.
As one who loves a metaphor, I can appreciate seeing these little warriors all around where we live. This place has been significant to me in both a spiritual and mental sense. I'm getting the opportunity to identify who I am and what I like to do.
I've been doing yoga, started dabbling in strength training, investing more time into my faith with spiritual practices like study and prayer. I've felt a calmness and comfort, like one of my good friends has mentioned, that I haven't felt before.
I'm excited to see what life will look like even six months from now.
3
The best way to describe my daughter is with this quote I've seen floating around--
"Born to dilly dally, but forced to pick up the pace."
This little girl of mine decided to stroll in the rain with careless abandon. And I just let her do it. I was wearing a rain coat so I wasn't worried about getting soaked and I just let her set the pace.
She carried her little bear with her and let him jump in puddles. She herself found many a puddle to splash in and was simply in bliss. She teaches me to be present. It was a joy just watching her be in her very own world.
Most of the time, her shorter leg pace can test my patience, but moments like this are good for me.
4
We can't mention fall without also talking about pumpkin spice lattes. Now I've got to admit: I am actually not a pumpkin spice girl.
What it really is, is I don't much care for pumpkin spice syrup or syrups for coffee in general. But if you concoct some sort of pumpkin puree spice magic that doesn't involve just sugar syrup I am there.
There's a coffee shop in Montana that made the best pumpkin spice lattes for this very reason and I became a believer. (Check out Crooked Tree if you can!)
On this particular day that this photo was taken, I was having coffee with one of my really good friends. We talked about life and friendship.
Soon fall will be in full swing and I'll be anticipating the snow of winter and all of its magic. In the meantime, we are spending this weekend at home. I've got a full list of places I want to explore, but sometimes it's just nice to stay in.
Til next time,
xoxo

Being home this week has been incredibly hard...
I can't help but feel like something has shifted... I struggled hard with the drop after last weekend. You seemed to as well, a bit. I don't know if it's that or something else, but something feels off.
We've still talked a lot, I know there's a lot on your plate, especially with having to stay on top of the apartments while we figured out which unit is best and formulate a game plan. We finally figured it out yesterday and I worked on the application today. I'm waiting to hear back before I can continue and they've not been particularly responsive.
Yesterday was my son's birthday. We talked in the morning and throughout the day until they came home from their last day of school. I tried so hard to be active and happy and present, but he was not particularly excited about any of it. We let him open his presents before school since he got new shirts, and I figured he'd want to wear one. His responses were lackluster at best, even when he saw his new skateboard that I poured days into painting. My ex did next to nothing. He provided the parts for the board, but they're all used parts from other boards. He sanded and clear-coated the deck and assembled the board, but that's it. He didn't get him anything to open, didn't hype up any of it. We took the kids to Mr Gattis pizza and arcade, where they seemed to have fun but ran through the money on their cards very quickly.
We got home and rested a bit before doing cake and watching a movie. He was very grumpy by the end of the night and would not stop saying it was the worst birthday ever, that he had no fun and that he hates birthdays now. It's gutting, I can't even give him one last great birthday before we're not all a family in his eyes.
Today, the AC in my apartment stopped working. I hate it here. I don't know if my sanity will last another month. I just want to be done with it all.
And on top of all of that and what feels like so much to do before we're out of this place... you seem so distant with me, almost cold. I think something is wrong and I don't know what. I'm sure we'll talk about it at some point, but I'm worried I've frustrated or disappointed you. That I've fucked up somehow and you're not telling me. I'm about to change my whole life, and I need that stability to not feel like I'm in free-fall. It feels like everything has changed after spending time together. I can't help but feel like you got a look at the real me, not the version in your head, and found me lacking. My confidence is shattered, and everything feels like it's hanging by a thread. I'm scared... terrified. I can't sleep, my appetite is non-existent, and I'm having the hardest time focusing on anything. I'm doing what you ask of me... I went out, photographed the garden, had lunch with an old friend, I've kept things amicable with my ex, I've worked on job applications and work for you, I bought the book you wanted me to read and got into it, I've watched my stocks and invested more. I don't think I've dropped the ball on anything but this journal, and I'm catching up on it, too. I even tested the waters by sending you some naughty pictures, but you barely responded.
Whatever it is. I'm sorry.

Making the Most of Kindergarten: 7 Tips for Parents
Stepping into kindergarten is a big leap for little ones—and an emotional rollercoaster for parents. Are you tangled in worries about how your child will adapt, make friends, and enjoy learning? You're not alone.
Many parents share these concerns as their preschoolers move to the next big stage.
Here's a fact: Kindergarten sets the foundation for a child's academic journey. It's where kids learn essential skills beyond ABCs and 123s—like making decisions, building confidence, and embracing mistakes.
This article has practical tips to empower you and your child during this exciting transition. We've got you covered, from encouraging independence to turning oops moments into lewe'veg opportunities.
Get ready to make kindergarten a joyful adventure!
The Importance of Independence and Confidence in Kindergarten
Kids thrive in kindergarten when they feel independent and confident. These qualities empower them to tackle new challenges, from math skills to craft ideas. They learn faster, enthusiastically dive into educational activities, and handle school readiness like champs.
Building their confidence means lots of positive reinforcement and encouragement from you. It's about celebrating every small win – recognizing or choosing which recycled art activity to do next.
This approach sets the stage for a love of learning beyond preschool years. Next, we'll explore how giving children age-appropriate tasks can further boost their decision-making abilities.
Encouraging Age-Appropriate Tasks and Responsibilities
Letting kids tackle age-appropriate tasks boosts their sense of responsibility. It's all about keeping the right balance – not too easy, but nothing they can't handle.
Making Choices and Decision-Making Opportunities
Empowering children to make their own choices boosts their confidence. It also teaches valuable decision-making skills early in life. Here's how you can provide these opportunities:
Offer two options for small decisions, like choosing between apple slices or carrots for a snack. This keeps things simple and encourages preschoolers to think about their preferences.
Encourage them to pick out their clothes for the day. It might not always match, but it lets them express themselves and shows you trust their judgment.
Involve them in planning a weekend activity. For example, they could choose between a trip to the zoo or the park. This teaches them to weigh options and consider what they truly enjoy.
Ask for their help with simple tasks at home, such as setting the table. This responsibility makes them feel valued and part of the team.
Let them decide on a preschool craft idea from your selection. Whether it's paper plate craft scraps or handprint art projects, making this choice fosters creativity.
During playtime, have them choose which game to play first – maybe shape recognition games or counting activities. Switching roles and letting them lead reinforces leadership qualities.
When reading together, let your child pick the book. It's a great way to set their interests while encouraging a love for reading.
Embracing Mistakes as Learning Opportunities
Mistakes happen, especially in early learning and kindergarten. Think of these slip-ups not as setbacks but as golden chances for growth. They teach children resilience and problem-solving skills that are crucial throughout life.
Encourage your child to try new activities, like preschool craft ideas or counting games, even if initially they. Praising efforts rather than just successes builds confidence and a love for learning.
Showing kids how to learn from their mistakes creates an environment where they feel safe to explore and ask questions. This approach helps them understand that errors are part of learning, not something to fear or avoid.
Through supportive guidance and positive reinforcement, children learn that tackling tasks—whether paper plate crafts or shape recognition games—is about improvement, not perfection.
Celebrating the lessons learned from every attempt nurtures a resilient and curious mindset in preschoolers.
Conclusion
Kindergarten is a crucial time for your kids. They learn about independence, make decisions, and embrace their mistakes here. It's all about giving them the right tools - choices, encouragement, and a safe space to explore.
Remember, every little step they take towards being self-reliant is huge. Trust in these tips; they're designed to help your child thrive in kindergarten and beyond.

November 13, 23 continued...
I've been hanging out with Shane more, I definitely need to keep my boundaries up with him. He's super genuine and sweet, really does show that he cares and actively keeps an interest which is really nice but sometimes just a little too much for me. We've got a couple plans over the months but I definitely need to keep those boundaries in place. I've hung out with Connor a few times now, we went for a nice bike ride for the first time after my birthday. I connected with him on FB dating like two ish years ago but we never met up or really continued talking and then we went for a bike ride & had a nice chat. He came out with Amber & I for halloween too, which he was a champ about coming out with someone he's never met, me who he met once, going to a random persons house haha, but it was pretty fun and as much as he can be a bit quieter, he's been opening up a lot more. I went over last week to watch a hockey game & hot tub with him and that was a nice evening, we talked a lot about exes and narcissistic issues we've dealt with too, he can definitely be a talker which is nice, he's definitely opening up a lot more. He really seems like a nice guy, again just keeping it casual getting to know each other. Jeremiah has been weird lately. I thought it was because Zack made things uncomfortable which im sure is a big contributing factor, but still idk. We were hanging out a lot and connected a lot over the summer and then when Zack joined the Ranchmans dance night I definitely think he rubbed everyone wrong, then I think I had a games night a few days later which again wasn't great, and then a few weeks later when Amber did my surprise birthday gathering he definitely didn't jive with Zack which again I totally get, I apologized to Jer after but it hasn't been the same. He hasn't asked to hang out like once... & I think Amanda kind of initiated the last movie night that just happened last friday which was good but yah idk, just back to feeling like I'm just his dog watcher friend which sucks. He had asked about christmas holiday and I got back to him and he texted again this morning about this week and it's like ok it would be nice to actually hang out and not just feel like I'm a free dog watcher ya know? Kinda just went back to like the earlier start of our friendship again so idk, I guess we'll see. Daniel - whom was Jer's friend we met at Jers birthday gathering this summer, we've been chatting back & forth for some months and then it was his birthday last month or some weeks ago & Amber & I stopped by which was nice, Troy was there whom i've met once before, would love to meet him again haha... anyways, had some good chats with Daniel and then I ended up going with him to his church the weekend prior which was really good. He's super nice and very extraverted so it's nice to chat with him, though I do feel very young to him, hes 9 years older, just turned 38 so I feel a bit kid-ish but we're going to get together & hang out sometime soon which should be nice, he's a genuine dude and christian which is very nice. Trying to think what else. Relationship with Steven & amanda is still great obviously, though still haven't reconnected with Melissa. It's been like 4 months now which is painful. Drama free but painful. I was really triggered and hurt when she gave me cold response after sending her photos from NYC and just felt super hypocritical. Just that whole situation honest rubs me so wrong and gives me the ick of what happened and how s he handled everything, like makes me just not want to be around her but idk. Her birthday is this week & of course as I'm always the bigger person, I'll say happy birthday even though she didn't to me, again just another jab. Idk it's still a fresh wound.

"𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞! 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞." - 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠
Hotch knew he should've known better than to allow Penelope to plan his and Emily's engagement party.
This fact became extremely apparent when he found out that she'd rented a beach house for the whole team in Cape Cod for a weekend.
Emily was rather happy, seeing as she'd always been a beach person. The smell of the water, the sound of the waves—not to mention how attractive she found Hotch with tanned skin and swimming trunks hanging loosely from his hips.
Hotch attempted to be happy, seeing as Emily being happy was the one thing he cared about most (besides Jack anyway).
Still, he complained on about the idea of laying out in the sand, surrounded by endless, annoying beach-goers.
"You know I hate the beach," he groaned from where he sat on the bed. His eyes followed Emily around the room as she continued to pack her suitcase.
She moved to stand between his legs, throwing her arms over his shoulders. One hand dangled behind him while the other played with the short hairs near his neck. "But you don't hate seeing me in a bathing suit, now, do you?" she asked.
He rolled his eyes. Fuck, did she love the way his eyelashes fluttered. "You're not wrong," he smirked, his hands playing with the bottom of her flowy blouse. Oh, how easy it would've been for his hands to slither their way underneath it.
"Aaron," she scoffed, already knowing what he was getting at. "We've got a flight to catch, you know."
"How am I supposed to focus on a flight when I'm looking up at the sexiest woman to ever walk the earth?"
She blushed, as if this wasn't something he told her on a daily basis. "Hotch-" her breathed hitched as one of his hands glided under her shirt and across her stomach, while the index finger of his other hand hooked itself around one of her belt loops.
He leaned up, kissing along her jawline, nuzzling into the crook of her neck. She wanted to giggle as his nose tickled her ear, but the only thing she could focus on was the sudden feeling of fervor spreading throughout her body.
"Aaron, flight," she reminded him. Oh, what she wouldn't give to miss that flight.
"We've still got an hour before we have to leave. An hour and twenty minutes before we have to get to the airport."
She weighed out her options for a moment. He was right, they did have an hour before they had to leave. Fifteen minutes for the fun activities, ten minutes for a shower, ten minutes to fix her hair and makeup, fifteen minutes to finish packing, and ten minutes to load everything into the car.
"Come on," he practically begged, kissing her jaw again. "You need to make sure this is really the sex you wanna experience for the rest of your life," he kidded.
She laughed lightly as she moved to sit on his lap. "If you think I'm marrying you for the sex, you're dead wrong, Aaron Hotchner."
He chuckled. That damn chuckle. "Oh? And what exactly is it that you're marrying me for?"
She laughed, "Your paycheck."
He scoffed as he rolled them over, pinning her down to the bed. "Emily Hotchner-Prentiss, that is just cruel."
"You know what's cruel, Aaron Hotchner-Prentiss, is that you're gonna make me miss my flight."
"Mmm," he hummed, leaning in and kissing her long and hard. "Screw the flight," he mumbled against her lips. "Besides, I have to up my game since you apparently don't want to marry this sex."
"Oh, I never said that," she commented as she looked up at him.
She stared up at him for a moment, taking in those walnut-colored eyes. She took a moment to look over every feature—every crease on his forehead, every freckle on his cheek, every small fleck in his eyes.
Hotch's eyebrows furrowed as he took her in. "What?" he chuckled.
"Nothing," she answered with a content giggle, "Just thinking about how in a hundred days, those eyes will be the first and last thing I see every day for the rest of my life."
He chuckled again before giving her a kind smile. "Is it really that close?" he asked before giving her a short kiss, "Only a hundred days?"
She nodded, biting her lip as she attempted to hide her smile. "Yep, only a hundred more days of staying together only on weekends," she answered. "Just think, in a hundred days, we won't have to sneak into each other's rooms on cases. We can just stay in the same room together with no hassle."
"I don't know," he commented, kissing her neck lightly. "Sneaking around kinda makes me feel like a kid again."
"Aa-Aaron," she stuttered a little too loudly.
"See, that's another thing we need to practice on," he whispered, kissing her neck again. "Can't have you getting too loud with Jack around."
"Me? Get loud? Last I recalled, you were the one that Reid heard from across the hall."
He chuckled as he recalled the awkward conversation they'd had a few weeks prior.
☆☆☆
"Hey, are you guys OK?" Spencer asked as the three of them set up at the Dallas County police precinct.
"Yeah, why?" Emily chuckled.
"Well, last night at the hotel, I heard Hotch yell your name, like he was angry with you."
Emily's mouth scrunched as she held in a laugh, turning away from Spencer.
Hotch was quick to answer, "Yeah, we just had a little bit of a spat. We're fine."
☆☆☆
"Alright, new plan," he said slyly, moving downward. He kissed along her belly where her shirt had ridden up. "We get all our screams out ahead of time."
In an attempt to look away from him, she glared over at the clock on the bedside table. "You've already wasted four minutes."
"Shhh," he said, almost like he was warning her. "You can't rush perfection."
"At least you got that right. Your sex is damn near perfect," she nearly mumbled as she felt his fingers trace her hip bone.
"Near?" he inquired. "Well, Mrs. Hotchner-Prentiss, tell me what I can do to improve it?"
"Shut up and go faster," she answered breathily.
Aaron took this as a dare, practically snatching her slacks off and tossing them aside. "Yes, ma'am."
He kissed a trail of slow, soft, agonizing kisses from her belly-button to the hem of her underwear, leaving an extra long kiss there.
"F-five minutes," she struggled to warn him.
"Shhh," he told her, unhurriedly sliding the blue material down her legs, leaving them dangling around her ankles.
She watched as he reached for his belt buckle, but she beat him to it. She unbuckled it as quickly as possible before tossing it aside.
"Don't make me tie you down," he threatened, placing his hands back on her thighs.
"Aaron, please just-"
He cut Emily off by kissing her long and hard. She was tempted to knee him in the crotch for trying to distract her, but his tongue tasted so good that she suddenly didn't care.
It wasn't until his hand started to slide upward from her thigh that she realized why he was distracting her.
"Two can play at that game," she thought to herself.
She moved her hand from his hip to his waist, tugging at the waistband of his boxers.
"Now, Em-"
"You started this," she said, her words rolling off her tongue almost as slow as his hands were moving.
His hand started moving again, hovering near the place she needed him most.
Her lip quivered as his hand got closer, and Hotch noticed almost immediately.
"You're so need-"
RING! RING! RING!
Hotch had never seen Emily's expression change so fast. He almost laughed when she complained, "OK, who the fuck is that?"
He glanced over at the table, noticing her phone screen lighting up. "It's for you," he chuckled.
She grabbed the phone, immediately recognizing the number. "Hey, Jaje," she answered, trying to sound as casual as possible.
"Where are you?" JJ asked from the other side of the phone.
"At home packing," she replied, her eyebrow raising in confusion.
Hotch chuckled at her raised brow, but lightly teased her by leaving a kiss above it.
Emily pointed a finger in Aaron's face warningly. "Why?" she further inquired.
Hotch crouched down in front of her, kissing his way up her thigh.
"The flight's leaving in a half hour," JJ told her.
"Shit," Emily exclaimed, though she wasn't quite sure if it was in response to JJ's statement or the fact that Hotch had finished his trail of kisses by leaving a long kiss on one of her lower lips.
Her eyes nearly rolled out of their sockets, in both arousal and annoyance.
"What's wrong?" Hotch whispered almost inaudibly before leaving another kiss in the exact same spot as before.
Emily held a finger up to tell Hotch to slow down. "OK, JJ. Let me finish wrapping things up here and we'll be there as soon as we can."
This time, Hotch's eyes nearly rolled out of the sockets. "You can't be serious," Emily heard him mumble.
"Don't you mean 'rounding things up'?" JJ asked. Emily could almost picture the puzzled look on her face.
Her face lit up red in embarrassment. "Yeah, I thought that's what I said."
"No, you said 'wrapping'," she reminded her.
"Well, you knew what I meant," Emily said awkwardly. "We'll be there as soon as we can," she rushed.
"OK, see you guys then," JJ smiled as she hung up.
Hotch's expression was one of suspense. "What did she say?"
"Apparently we got the flight time wrong. It leaves in a half hour," Emily answered, pulling her underwear back up.
The two quickly hurried from their positions, rushing around the room to gather the last of their essentials.
After about five minutes, just as he folded the last of his clothes, Aaron turned to Emily with a smirk tugging at his lips.
"What?" she asked, somewhere between laughingly and curiously.
"How big do you think the rental house is gonna be?" he inquired with furrowed brows.
"Why?"
Almost daringly, he answered, "Because we never finished wrapping things up."

Welcome one and all to my second entry for @foxy-eva's milestone challenge!! Yes, I'm entering twice because there's no way I couldn't enter a Hotchniss imagine with that prompt on the list!!
As I say every time I write something ~edgy~, I also was not expecting this?? I never can tell if my spicy imagines are good or not so 🙈

A Conversation With Doral Council Candidate Oscar Puig
As part of our election 2020 coverage, we are conducting interviews with all candidates for local office that have chosen to accept our interview request. All candidates have been contacted. Oscar Puig is a 20 year resident of Doral, a vital part of its founding, and an active leader and participant in many of the city’s civic organizations. He is running for Doral Council Seat #3. Oscar endorses J.C. Bermudez for Mayor and Claudia Mariaca for Council Seat #1. He has been endorsed by J.C. Bermudez. In this article, The Doralian is proud to present it’s first interview. Let us know what you think! If you have any questions please DM. Please like, comment, and share! *This is not an endorsement*
Interview Transcript
Doralian: So, I want to start off by talking about your platform. Here at The Doralian, our goal is to inform the public. Unfortunately, many voters struggle to understand the stances brought by candidates for local office. Could you highlight maybe 2-4 pillars of your campaign that you want voters to know?
“1) Number 1, I would call continuation. We have built a wonderful city. Since I was involved in the creation of the city, I was one of the co-founders and we saw how the city deteriorated and zoning changes were made (before the city's incorporation and during Luigi Boria's mayorship) that weren’t supposed to be made and that's one of the things that I want to prevent. So, the continuation of these last four and the previous ones during JC's first years in office I think is important to maintain and have somebody that has the time invested like I do in the city for many years. That's one.
2) I think that with this pandemic, we will see a difficult time ahead of us because of budget shortfalls, as a lot of people are without a job. That's going to affect a lot of projects because of property taxes. People losing their homes. So I hope to be a voice to find solutions to help our residents, our business, so that if affected, we continue to ask the federal government, the state, and the county, for funds to help the citizens and the small businesses.
3) I am also big on two other things. One of them is small business. Aside and before the pandemic I was supported by 15 good, small sized business that have been here for a long time and I see that there's got to be a movement to help and facilitate the process of the city, which already started, I know that JC announced in their state of the union, several things that are going to help the small businesses and streamline the processes of the city, and I want to support that and make sure that small business can also do marketing events with the city. Marketing strategies with the city that can help them grow and ultimately push the theme that will help people understand that they can eat here, that they can play here, that they could have a good nightlife here, they can eat here. It's changed a lot, so you don't have to drive anywhere else. So, if we can, as a city, start a movement to keep people to spend within the city, they will help small businesses a lot.
4) The last one is the special needs and the elderly programs. I support them 100% and anything we can do to make them better. In the city of Doral, we have a lot of participants in Special Olympics. We have a great special needs program and I want to support them and the elderly of course, our most vulnerable, especially during these times when they're alone. So, look for ways that we can, even if it's digitally, help them not be alone and satisfy whatever needs they have.“
Doralian: The reason I’ve invited you here today is to try to highlight some of the distinctions between you and other candidates. My next question is, whether it involves your qualifications or policy stances, what makes you different from the other candidates?
“I don't think I like to talk about my differences with others. I'd like to say that my experience within the city, I've been involved since the year 2000, in many, many ways with schools, with the parks, with the city committees, selection committees, park director selection committees, and years back the city attorney selection committees. Important committees that I've participated in to service our community with my family and their families in mind. Just making sure that, like I said before, that we have a good transparent and effective government that represents the best interests of the residents at large, whether they vote or not. It's important to represent everybody and that the city is in good shape. My qualifications are my experience and dedication that I've given for the last 20 years to our city.”
Doralian: What is your individual take on the city’s public transportation system? What direction must the city turn to improve its public transportation infrastructure?
“As a city, for 20 years, we’ve done a lot to improve, but at the same time, we went from 20,000 to almost 70,000 residents, plus the 100,000 when we include all the people that come in and out of the city to work. It’s a positive, because we have a good base of employment and a good base of residents but at the same time it creates that whole complicated issue of traffic. I therefore believe that traffic is not just a Doral issue, I believe that Doral and every city in Miami Dade County and the County has to sit down and start looking for solutions of mass transit. Expand the rail. The growth we have had as an entire county has not been followed by investment needed in mass transportation. So, if we think of Doral only, we are not going to solve it, because when Palmetto and Turnpike are, you know, a bottleneck, there's hundreds of thousands of vehicles stuck there for hours, it's going to ripple down into the city because people cannot get on the highway, so then eventually creating traffic within the city. That's where we see most of the traffic, when people are going to get on the highway. And when you look at Doral during the weekend, we have very little traffic, if any, which is a great thing for us. So it's all created by this large base of businesses and residents that we have that are active during the week. So, I think this is a regional problem and we have to look at it that way, but continue to invest as a city: opening streets like we've done many, many times, we're now going to open 25th street to the turnpike, an exit and an entrance, so that's going to help traffic on 41st and 12th, even as high as 74th street. The major problem is regional, we have to make sure that we start investing in that and I want to be a loud voice to bring that to the table.”
Doralian: So, you mentioned rail for a second there and one mayoral candidate has proposed lobbying the county to bring rail to Doral. Do you support the expansion of Miami-Dade's Metrorail to Doral?
“I support it anywhere it goes. We will have to look at where and how, of course, those are things that are important, but in general, yes, that's what I'm talking about when I speak of mass transportation. But more than that I think Kendall area, a train from Kendall to the East and to the North is important, these are areas that are very effective because of the lack of mass transportation. Because we have rail here in Doral and some of our residents do take it. We have now a bus system that goes straight from the new area by 12th street all the way to downtown and those are great solutions. We need to continue this.”
Doralian: My next question is an attempt to understand what kind of development you would encourage while in office. I'd like to ask, in your vision of a future Doral, what does the city look like to you? Does it look more urban? Is there more mixed-use development like CityPlace or Downtown Doral in which residential districts are heavily mixed with entertainment districts? Or does it look more suburban, more classical Doral-like? Something like Doral Isles or Islands at Doral.
“That's what I'm talking about when I talk of a master plan. There's going to be areas that are going to be preserved as the more suburban, which is the West side of Doral, even though there was an application that was approved on 107th and 74th that brought some buildings. But still, now it's back on track, like the mayor says, so that shouldn't happen anymore. We have a good master plan now that prevents things like that from happening. I support that masterplan, we have to tweak it but yes, on the east side I support what's going on with Downtown Doral and CityPlace because one of the things that's going to prevent the traffic is the presence of an area where you can live, work, play, and learn. It's important because you don't have to get out and get in the car to do grocery shopping like it happens in Downtown Doral or take your kids to school or any of that. You know, you don't have to get out of that area at all. As a resident, you have it all there. That's a solution to traffic. People like it. I think a lot about the people that live in those areas and they enjoy it a lot. It's an easier life when you don't have to drive somewhere to eat or take the kids to school. I would embrace those.
Doralian: What specific policy proposals do you suggest for the city to help local struggling businesses?
I think again we have to find a balance, I think we are at a balance right now where you can go out and make sure that we continue to protect ourselves but at the same time closing businesses I don't think is the right solution. I think we have to, again, have a balance, make sure that businesses and people are following the CDC guidelines and whether they're in or outside the city. So, to me it’s important to have the economy moving because it could be a disaster later on to have the economy affected. But at the same time, we need to be proactive in getting involved and being part of the solution.
Doralian: Are there any candidates for the other local elections that you would like to endorse?
Yes, Claudia Mariaca and J.C. Bermudez
Doralian: Any closing comments? Is there anything you want residents of our city to know?
Yes, there is something that to me is very important. It's participation not only when you go out and vote but also participate as a resident in many ways and hopefully things will go back to normal soon and you can participate as a resident. Doing something that adds value to the city, to the residents, being part of the committees, getting involved with the parks, non-profits, the Chamber of Commerce, we are now going to have a Doral Contemporary Art Museum. See what's going on, the schools, the PTA, that's how I started, with the Chamber. To start getting involved and bringing solutions to the city I think is very important. I'm more than open to helping and guiding everyone that is interested in coming on board and knowing what I did and how I did it so they can do it better.

My back is really hurty right now but today was a really nice day. Just long and rainy.
I was very tired last night. I'm very tired today. But it's all right. I slept okay last night. I woke up with James's alarm around 6 and fell back asleep until 7. He was gone when I woke up. He had gone to his parents house to get the car to get the last couple things for my other apartment. The plan now is for me to go on Saturday and Sunday and clean. Trying to make it as nice as possible. Then we will go in with are U-Haul when he has a day off. And get my bed and my bookshelf. I'm still stressed out about it all but it's fine. I think I'm going to bring some cleaning stuff and trash bags and things like that over this weekend. Try to just do as much as possible.
I felt okay when I got up. It wasn't thrilled about being awake. Are going to work but I had some positive feelings for the guy. Last night at around 10 p.m. Tiffany called me and asked if I would feel okay leading the older kids science class. And honestly that's what I thought we were doing from the beginning so I was fine with that. I left here around 7:40 and went down to the bus stop.
I got to work at 8:15 and went upstairs and sorry it's setting things up. My fabric was missing but I found it underneath I dropped off. No idea why it was there. It's all good. Set up and then I went to talk to Edina about changing the stem project. And then I went to go talk to Tiffany about the schedule. Because one of the reasons I am leaving stem is so that a Dina can see how the project should go. So having her do stem first doesn't make any sense.
But after some phone calls and stuff we were able to work that out and I got the schedule and I want it. My art is the same. Then we have reading lunch and recess. And then I go to stem with the older kids. While the little kids go to book arts. And then the little kids come to stem and then the older kids go to book Arts. And that worked really well. Today was so much more chill than it has been and it was great.
I set up some stuff for science. Mixed up watercolor paint in bottles. Made some examples. We were doing sneeze art. And it was very silly. But we started the day with some annoyances because I am very much all about organized chaos. And one of my kids ask to go to the bathroom while we were at breakfast and I told him to go ahead and he ran out the door like a first grader will do. And the new principal admonished me and Marcus for not watching our kids. And it was just very rude and the very first interaction I've ever had with this woman who has not introduced yourself to us yet. So I just felt some kind of way. But whatever. Hopefully she can redeem herself to me because so far is not looking good.
But besides that today was great. We went upstairs we did yoga. I did yoga with the little kids first and then went did with the big kids. With the big kids they also introduce some of my ballet stretches and that was really fun. Getting them to use their brains a little bit. Not all of them are participating but the ones that are I can tell her having a good time.
Art went really well. I was worried about Jeremiah for a while because he just did not understand that he was moving from beading to Patches. But really that was because yesterday he didn't actually do beading because he kept spilling the beads all over the place. But that's fine. He ended up sitting with our youth worker Trinity and he drew these little characters that he likes on a patch that we've been hot glued on. I was so proud of him I took that picture up there with him smiling all big. So sweet. I just wish that he would stop whining. That's my only thing that I cannot stand. We're working on it though.
Reading was great. We drew pictures on the computers of a book we've read recently. I drew some stuff from Flowers for Algernon. And then we talked about them and we had to have some conversations about critique and how you talk about other people's work. Even if you don't like it. You have to be kind. I doubt with some little kid tears but everything was okay. We were having fun.
Lunch and recess we're fine. I think I'm supposed to be having my break during recess now but that's very early for me and I don't want to have my break then so I just didn't. I stayed outside and just chilled. Then we went inside for stem.
It was very confusing for the kids because they had to go into a different room that they've been used to for the last 2 weeks. But we got everybody in the right place and then I had to take it sit down and I kind of gave them a mini introduction on myself and explain what we were going to do and my expectations for them. That if they did the project they would get free time. It's an incentive and honestly they need it. It's summer camp it's not school they should be able to have free time. Especially because I just read that article last night about how not having free play and free time outside of a structured adult activity is really detrimental for your kids and their ability to self soothe and self direct. They need to be able to learn how to do that. So it's very important for me to figure out places in the day where they can have that.
And it worked out really well. They were loud. And they weren't always listening but we explained the project. We talked about how you sneeze at a hundred miles an hour and you cough at 50 miles an hour. And then we got our watercolor paper and are smocks and we went outside.
For both classes it works very well. But the little kids were actually better at it because Miss Adina only left a little kids Spritz their paper twice. And I let the big kids do it as much as they wanted. So some of the big kids ones fell apart because they were so wet. But they were having a really good time and they were color mixing and they were being messy and exploring the medium. And they were learning but it wasn't like a lot. It was just fun. And that's what I wanted. You're outside and it's too hot and so after about 15 minutes we went back in.
We all later artwork down put her smokes away I check back in with them make sure they understood the two facts that I thought them. And then I told them guys you did the project you get 20 minutes of free time. So they got their laptops out and they got their phones out and they were having a good old time. And then at the end we close the laptops and cleaned up and they said thank you Miss Jessie and they headed out. It was so much smoother than every other day I have experience seeing the older kids. It was great. I hope that we can keep that momentum.
For the second half. When I had two little kids do it. I stepped back. I let Adina handle that. I only said a couple things. They all were smocks. They got four colors instead of six colors. Mr. Marcus was there to help. We went outside and we all did our thing. The kids work was much nicer than the older kids. They weren't as wet. You actually saw the spray pattern. It was good. Had them bring them all upstairs we laid them out too dry. I'm going to hang them up tomorrow probably. And then we went in. We watched a video and it was nice. I had a good day.
We finish up the day with some snacks and some hanging out on our yoga mats. Took the ball downstairs to go home. Hung out on the hill until everyone was picked up. And I was able to leave at like 3:45.
The bus took a little while and it was really hot out. Just so heavy and humid. And that's because rain was coming. When I was getting off the bus it wasn't raining at. And when I got to my bike it wasn't raining yet. But about two blocks down the street it was starting to rain. At first it was just light. And I thought I would be able to make it home. But then it started to pour. Just absolutely downpouring on me. It felt nice but there was lightning and a lot of wind. The few other people I saw outside trying to get stuff together and run in for looking at me with the same Panic I'm sure was on my face. I was soaked to the skin. But it was just funny at that point. There was nothing else I could do so I just went upstairs and told James to take my off of the day photo. Because it was funny. And then I took a shower.
James to pick up pizza for dinner. He seeing Hamilton with his parents and sister tonight. Which is great because it's the anniversary of the Duel at Weehawken. That's amazing. I don't know if it was on purpose but it's great. So he hung out with me for an hour and then went to go have dinner with them. And I've just been hanging out at home.
I worked on my Furby project for a little while. I've been watching videos and playing with sweetpea. Sweetpea loves pipe cleaners so he was very excited about those. I painted my toenails and now I think I'm going to get up and maybe go do something but I have no idea what my eyebrows? Play with my makeup? Who knows!
Tomorrow is the last day of camp for the week. 5 days is very hard. I do not like working 8 hours. I love my job it's very easy. But it is still a lot. I don't think I was built to work eight hours a day. I am a baby. But it's going to be a good day. I'm slightly concerned about the project tomorrow because I'm not positive we have the right materials for it. But still going to be fun. And then me and James are going to go see to Apartments. It was nice. But they're both of Mount Vernon and we're both really kind of committed to moving to Bolton Hill now. So we'll see what happens we'll make it work. I'm excited to see places because it gives us some good perspective of what the other wants. We both are pretty sure we want the same things and we know what the other one likes but it's still fun. Even if we're not going to rent these ones.
Hope you guys all have a good night. I'm sending you all Good Vibes through the universe. Sleep well. Be safe. Try not to get rained on.

Daily routine with 2+ children:
Most days, I only have my two biological children, the younger kids in our lot, and my bonus kids are with their biological mother.
Her routine and my own differ very greatly, so I have a little static during the weeks that we have all of the kids together.
But I've found over my 4 years as a mother, that, while I am not the best person at creating and maintaining routines, they have a substantial impact on my family's functionality and behavior, so here is my routine for the kids, on any given day.
Morning:
We usually wake up anywhere between 7:30 & 9 am, not usually aided by an alarm. A lot of mornings, my 4 year old wakes me up coming through to use the restroom, and that's how we begin the day, diaper changes and potty time.
After that, breakfast is made, and served for the little ones, and on weekends, I tend to do the whole "country breakfast" thing for the whole family, but on weekdays, I usually skip the meal myself, opting for coffee instead.
If breakfast was messy, bath time follows shortly after, along with getting dressed and brushing teeth.
If the living room is a disaster zone, which is often the case with all 3 little ones running around, I set the kids down to watch educational TV, shows like Dora, Between the Lions, whatever they're asking for that has a lesson behind the program, while I pick up toys, vacuum, and clear any bits of trash out of the play area.
Since it's summer, we're not structuring lessons, and the next block of time can be filled with whatever suits our fancy for the day, a movie, some time in the garden, coloring, building with blocks, or even dancing to my 80's Jamz playlist from YouTube.
Around 11:30, I make lunch for the little ones, after that, it's another go at the potty time thing (they're free to go whenever, but there are a few times a day where I require them to use the potty at a set time, upon waking, and before naps and bedtime).
Nap time should start anywhere between 12 & 1 pm, based on when the kids woke up that morning.
When the kids get up from naps, I give drinks and snacks, and let them watch an older cartoon, lately they've really liked Scooby Doo. I structure screen time, no vegging out, but I don't ban TV. Moderation, moderation, moderation.
If it's not too hot, the afternoons can be spent playing with dirt in the garden, or if it is too hot, they can be spent coloring, listening to Bible stories, or even running like Sonic the hedgehog around the living room.
This week, we've got something planned for every evening, Vacation Bible School. So naps are non-negotiable, they must happen for the kids to behave properly at VBS and for them to have the energy to enjoy all of the activities planned for them.
I try to stick to this same basic schedule for the kids every day, even when the day is more interesting than just hanging around at home. My son knows the schedule and tells me when it's time for him to potty and nap, and he can pretty much stick to it, and on days we go off book, I can really tell the difference in his attitude and behavior. Kids need structure, especially in their younger years, to help them begin to understand the passage of time. If you wake up, nap, and go to bed at roughly the same time every day, you're not going to refuse to nap or get up, or go to bed as much, because it is an expected part of your day.
My struggle now, is with helping my +daughter understand that we have this routine for them for their benefit, and not to be meanies. She's very used to waking up when she wants, napping when she wants, eating when she wants, and sleeping when she wants, and it makes me feel like we're a bit of a drag to her when she comes over and has to be part of the routine. But I'm constantly reminded that kids expect what they are regularly given, and it must throw her off to be scheduled, just as much as it throws her sister and +brother off when we take their routine off track.
So we have a little looser of a routine, following the same paths as usual, but with more wiggle room for all when we have all of the little ones, and it still works. I'm just insistent on routines, because I know they work in my home, and they make my job as Mama a lot less stressful. But no matter what, find a routine that works for your family, set it in place, and allow for wiggle room as needed but still remain in control of the tiny human army you're training. ;)

Udaipur sightseeing in winters with family
Udaipur is one of the best places to visit in India during winters that you can explore with Taxi Service in Udaipur. It is a place that offers you all the happiness and joy of a winter vacation.
If you are planning on visiting Udaipur, then there are certain things you should consider before leaving for this beautiful city. The most important thing to do is to make sure that your travel plans are well-planned so that you can enjoy your stay in this beautiful city as much as possible. When the temperatures drop, you'll be able to enjoy some time outside without worrying about getting too hot. You can walk around town or head out for some sightseeing, but you'll need to be prepared for the weather. Wear layers and make sure you have an umbrella or other form of protection if you plan on going outside. You can Taxi Book online in Udaipur.
If you'd rather stay indoors, there are plenty of museums, art galleries and other attractions that will keep your kids busy until spring. You can also take advantage of all of the free activities that are offered during this time of year. Many hotels offer special packages for families who want a weekend away together or a few days at one place instead of driving all over India each day.
If you are looking for a holiday with your family in Udaipur, then here are some tips that you can follow to make the most of your trip.
1. Plan ahead: It is always better to plan your activities well in advance so that there is no last minute rush and you have time to relax and enjoy each other's company.
2. Dress up appropriately: When it comes to sightseeing, it is important to dress up appropriately as the temperature may be low during winters in Udaipur.
3. Pack light: You don't have to carry a lot of luggage when travelling, just take what you need in case there is rain or if you want to go shopping at malls or marketplaces along the way.
4. The best time to come is during the month of December, when the weather is mild and sunny. Spring is also a good time for sightseeing because flowers bloom everywhere; however, it can be rainy at times.
5. Make sure to bring warm clothes and shoes that can withstand rain if you go out walking around town on foot; otherwise take an auto rickshaw or taxi instead.
6. Bring your camera—Udaipur has some amazing views that will make your photos come alive!
Well, we've got some great ideas for you. Here are our top picks for sightseeing in Udaipur during the winter:
1) Visit the City Palace, which is located overlooking the city. This palace is gorgeous and has been around for 400 years. It's also home to one of the biggest markets in all of Rajasthan—you'll get to see everything from spices and candy to gold jewellery and anything else you can imagine. Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind experience.
2) Take a stroll through Old Udaipur, where you'll find 19th century buildings that were built by Maharaja Udai Singh II. These buildings are really unique because they have been left untouched since their construction over 150 years ago—they're still full of original details like wooden balconies and beautiful tile work throughout each building.
3) If shopping isn't your thing but architecture is, then head over to New Udaipur where there are dozens of art galleries filled with works by local artists and lots of cafes.

The Oculus
Written by Joshua Tesoro & Illustrated by Bastin Agustines
Itadori Zoldyck spends his weekends in a small apartment playing video games all day. He can make his life "better," but he does not have the opportunity to demonstrate it. He excels at coding and technology in general. He made tons of inventions when he was still a kid and his parents always supported him, but he felt hopeless when they died. He lost both of his parents when he was very young, and he had to work a variety of jobs just to keep up with the bills and provide shelter for himself. Except for his goofy best friend Feitan Portor, he doesn't really have anyone. Despite his circumstance, he idolized Franklin Stark, the brilliant billionaire and CEO of the well-known tech firm Stark Industries. His friend invited him to a Stark Industries tech expo one day, and when Itadori learned that Franklin would be there, he agreed right away. Normally, he would refuse to attend any events, but this time, his idol, Franklin Stark, had approved it.
Itadori and Feitan were astounded by the technology and inventions they saw on the day of the expo. Jetpacks and flying cars were among the inventions that were being developed. The entire area has a futuristic vibe to it. Itadori was curious if he could make similar inventions, or if he could improve them. “You can make inventions like this, you know; I know you can because you're a genius in this field,” Feitan said suddenly to Itadori. “It's all this computer nerd stuff.” “Do you really believe that?” Itadori asked. I don't know how long it's been since my parents died; I've lost faith in myself and haven't had the chance to demonstrate my abilities to anyone.” “Well, you can begin by doing something you think is fantastic, and never forget to believe in yourself. You know how proud your parents were of you and all the things you've created.” Feitan remarked. Itadori smiled, knowing that his friend was always joking around, but he would always be there for him.
They were walking around the tech expo when Itadori realized he couldn't find his friend Feitan. He immediately dialed his phone number, but no one answered. He was searching for his friend when he noticed him passing through the restricted area. It was a small room with a large door in the center. He pursued him in an attempt to stop his friend. “What are you doing?” he exclaimed. You'll be discovered, and we'll be kicked out of the expo. You know how much I've wanted to meet Franklin for a long time.” “I'm sorry, I was just curious, you know, what kind of technology they were developing in this area,” she explained. Feitan replied. Aren't you a little intrigued? Let's take a quick look and then get out of here.” Feitan knew from Itadori's expression that he wasn't convinced and that his friend would drag them out, but then the big door opened and someone came running in the opposite direction. They had no choice but to enter the restricted area.
When they walked into the room, they noticed a large white circular portal. There were a lot of people watching and taking notes. What was that for, Itadori wondered. Itadori knew the portal was a portal to somewhere when it suddenly released a large blue energy and became active, but he didn't know where. He suspected it led to another dimension, but he wasn't sure if it was possible with today's technology. They were simply observing the scientists present when the portal abruptly shut down, sending a small shockwave through the room that knocked them to the ground. Itadori and Fetitan were also knocked out, and when they awoke, they were surrounded by guards with guns drawn. “What are you doing here?!,” one of the guards exclaimed. Aren't you aware that this is a restricted area? This is a government-approved top-secret experiment. You are not permitted to enter. Both of you should be arrested right now!” Itadori was taken aback and apprehensive at the same time. He was under pressure to figure out a way to get out of this situation, or he and his friend would be arrested and imprisoned, or worse, killed by one of the guards. He suddenly came up with a plan to save himself and his friend. The only way to save Feitan in his mind is for him to say, "I know how to fix the portal you're working on here. I am the best in my school and I also have a masters in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering." Suddenly, a well-dressed young man enters the room and says, “Let's give this boy a chance, shall we? He’ll be imprisoned if he’s bluffing.” Because of this young man, the rest of the room fell silent. Franklin Stark, the CEO of Stark Industries, was the one who made the announcement.
Itadori was so shocked and happy when he saw his idol. So shocked that he couldn’t move for a second. “So, show us what you got, kid. To help you, I’ll explain what we're doing here. That portal leads to another dimension, not to mention an advanced one. It’s so advanced that the technology there can either destroy our world or lead it into a new era. We tried so many tests, but the problem was not activating the portal, but rather sustaining it while someone was still inside. There has been a test where one of our employees was stuck there. Her name is Lucy Smith. She was our lead scientist and as I’ve mentioned our problem is to make the portal stay open long enough for us to get in and out safely. We tried everything to save the scientist but as you can see, we have no way of contacting her and we can’t go through the portal because of the problem.”, said Franklin. “So, kid, show me what you've got. “Assist us in saving this man and possibly dozens of others who could benefit from the technology from another dimension,” he added. Itadori was under pressure because he didn't know what to do at first, but now that he knew about the portal, he knew what to do. Using his technological skills and knowledge. He created a program to handle the massive amounts of energy and a power source to keep the portal running long enough for them to enter and exit to the other dimension. Franklin was blown away by Itadori's abilities. He was so taken aback that he told him, "Not bad, kid." Do you want to be a part of my team? You have a lot of potential to follow in my footsteps as a successful inventor.” Itadori felt relieved when he heard those words because he had accomplished his goal. He was the one who did it. Franklin's words had a similar effect on him. “All right, let's put it to the test, shall we?” Franklin said, "You two are going to the other dimension with me." When they heard what Franklin said, both of the teenagers were taken aback. “What are you saying?” Itadori exclaimed. We're just regular teenagers, you know. We are unable to travel to another dimension. “Don't you have anyone to help you with this?” “Look, kid, you've got a gift. Don't settle for anything less than the best. You have tremendous potential, and I want to take you to the other dimension with me so that we can develop technologies that will benefit humanity. Furthermore, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Franklin responded, "Would you really waste it?" Feitan eventually persuaded his friend to travel to the other dimension. Franklin put together a team that included himself, Feitan, and Itadori. They'll have two more people monitoring the portal to see how much time they have before the power source needs to be recharged. “See you on the other side, my friend,” Feitan said as he entered the portal. Itadori grinned and greeted Feitan with a smile. They saw a large white light after entering the portal and were astounded by what they saw. It was truly a futuristic metropolis. There are flying cars everywhere, and even the trains are floating. Humanoid robots were seen casually assisting the people around them. They ventured deeper into the city in the hopes of uncovering information about Lucy's whereabouts. So far, they've relied solely on advanced technologies to locate Lucy. There is a device that allows you to view the security cameras installed throughout the building. You can even identify the individual who was caught on camera. However, after receiving the device, Itadori noticed a mysterious woman staring at them. She fled after attempting to confront the woman. They were chasing the woman down a small alley when they were suddenly approached by some evil humanoid robots who attempted to hit them. They were about to be cornered when the woman they were chasing suddenly assisted them in stopping the humanoid robot by temporarily disabling it.
Itadori then inquired as to the identity of the woman, to which she replied, "I am Lucy Smith, and I thought you were one of the guys chasing me." When I saw Mr. Franklin here, I immediately returned.” “We've come to gather some data to aid in the development of technology for our world, and, of course, to save you,” Franklin explained. Lucy explained that she is attempting to hide from the people present because they are aware that he is from another dimension. Lucy added, "They call themselves the Eternals." Lucy explained that they live in an advanced civilization where there are no wars or suffering, and only one government. She didn't say anything about stealing a valuable piece of technology from them, the Oculus. The Oculus is a cube of pure energy capable of destroying an entire world. Lucy isn't really a bad guy; she wants to use the cube to generate an infinite amount of energy that will benefit the entire world. Many people in the other dimension will suffer, however, because when the oculus leaves the other dimension, it will unleash a powerful shock wave that will destroy the entire dimension and its inhabitants. When they were about to leave the other dimension, Itadori noticed a glowing blue light from the bag. He immediately approached Lucy and asked what it was. Lucy, having been exposed, tried to talk it out but Feitan was skeptical about it. He told Itadori and Franklin that she was up to no good. After hearing this, Franklin approached Lucy and asked her to give her the bag. She refused. After that, Franklin became suspicious of Lucy as well and tried to take the bag from her. When Lucy noticed Franklin was becoming suspicious, she dashed to the portal. The three of them chased her down, but just as Itadori was about to catch up to her, she threw a grenade at him, knocking him down. When Feitan realized what had happened, he immediately called Franklin and told him to save Itadori and enter the portal. He intended to take Lucy on by himself. Someone grabbed Lucy's feet as she approached the portal, preventing her from passing through. Feitan was the culprit. Feitan tried everything he could to keep Lucy away from the portal so Franklin could get Itadori to safety. Franklin was well aware that Feitan would put his life on the line for his best friend. That was crystal clear to him. Franklin entered the portal just as it was about to close. Lucy escaped Feitan's clutches and kicked him away, allowing her to pass through the portal as well. The other dimension, along with Feitan and his companions, exploded when the cube exited the other dimension. After the three of them escaped through the portal, Franklin confronted Lucy and asked what had happened. The other dimension was destroyed as a result of the cube, Lucy explained. She continued, "When the cube exits the other dimension, it will unleash a massive shock wave that will destroy everything in its path." Franklin couldn't believe Feitan, along with the other inhabitants of the alternate dimension, had died. Feitan was supposed to be trapped in another dimension, but he is actually dead. He was concerned about Itadori's reaction to his best friend's death. He had no idea Itadori had heard everything; he was unable to move due to the grenade's damage. He was furious with himself because he believed it was his fault that Feitan had to make the sacrifice. Franklin questioned Lucy about why she had done it. “It was for our world,” Lucy explained, “because this cube has unlimited energy and can develop futuristic technologies.” Even if it means killing dozens of people in the process, I would gladly do it. There can be no victory without sacrifice.” Itadori was enraged when he learned of this. What Lucy said disgusted him greatly. “Don't you dare make my best friend's life seem insignificant!” he exclaimed. Not to mention the billions of people you've murdered!” Given his circumstances, Franklin was surprised to learn that Itadori can communicate. Lucy smirked and giggled as she heard Itadori's words. Itadori used all of his remaining strength to stand
up when he heard her laugh. He inquired about Lucy's plans. “Fine, I'll tell you about my cube plans,” she replied. I'll construct a power container to store the cube's energy and use it to develop technologies that will make me one of the world's greatest scientists, capable of assisting dozens of people all over the world. Don't you see what I'm talking about? This cube is going to save the world! Itadori and Franklin attempted to fight her, but she possesses a device that allows her to easily knock people out. She was able to flee. Itadori and Franklin stood up and talked about what had happened. Itadori told Franklin about how much of a good friend Feitan was. He was furious with himself for being so frail in the other dimension. Franklin cheered him up by telling him that he was not to blame. He also needs to stop Lucy if he doesn't want his friend's death to be in vain. It was Itadori's mission to stop Lucy when he realized this. He was the only one with the knowledge to stop Lucy’s plan so Franklin went to him for help. He went to Stark Industries right away and used their technology to find Lucy. They eventually found Lucy after hours of searching and devised a strategy to apprehend her. Because they don't know much about the Oculus and only know that it's dangerous, Itadori devised a strategy to prevent Lucy from using it. Lucy was in a Stark Industries facility that had been abandoned, but some of the technology and cameras were still operational. Itadori first devised a method of hacking into the facility so that Lucy would be unaware of their presence. Franklin and Itadori discussed what they would do to Lucy once they had stopped her on their way to her. For a while, Itadori remained silent. “As much as I hate her for killing my friend, I can't kill her,” he said suddenly. I don't want to do it. Perhaps there is still a way to persuade her that what she is doing is wrong. So, Mr. Franklin, here's the deal. When we arrive at the facility, I'd like you to leave me alone with her. Stay in the plane and keep an eye on us. If everything else fails, press this button. When Lucy said she was going to build a power container for the Oculus, I knew I had to do something about it, so I built this device that can hack into any device. It will be able to stop Lucy's plan once you press that button.” Franklin was surprised to learn that Itadori had already devised a plan to stop Lucy, but he was determined to persuade her. Franklin stayed on the plane after arriving at the facility, as Itadori had requested.
Itadori and Lucy finally confronted each other. Lucy was taken aback when she saw Itadori approaching her from across the hall. Lucy stated, "You've got skills kid, I'll give you that." “Are you here to put a stop to it? I could kill you right now, but I've decided against it because you have potential. I don't want to squander it. As a result, I'll make you an offer. Join me, and together we can make a difference in the world. “Are you sure you don't want that?” “Lucy, I know we haven't spent much time together, but from what I've seen of you in the short time we've interacted, I know you are a good person,” Itadori replied. You want to help others, but your methods are ineffective. It is not worth it to put other people's lives on the line for the sake of progress. You have the ability to change the world, but this isn't the way to do it.” Lucy was taken aback by Itadori's continued attempts to save her. She immediately remembered her past, recalling how she had been bullied as a child, but that someone had helped her and believed in her. “Don't worry about them; they're just envious of your abilities,” said the person. Don't let anyone put you down because you have the ability to change the world.” She realized all the mistakes she had made after recalling this. “You're right, Itadori, what have I done?” she exclaimed. All I wanted was for the good of the world because I want to make it a better place. When I was a kid, someone believed in me, but will he be proud of me now that he knows what I've accomplished?” After saying this, a massive explosion erupted from the cube. “It is not too late to save other people,” Itadori told her. “Assist me in putting a stop to this.” Lucy knew there was no stopping the cube now, and the power container couldn't handle it, which Itadori didn't know. There was only one thing she could think of as a solution. She instructed Itadori to hack into the Stark Industries mainframe. She only said that so Itadori could flee for his life. She intends to make a self-sacrifice in order to stop the cube and undo everything she has done. She then called Franklin to warn him to stay away from the facility and to offer her body to be mixed with the cube. She can control the cube to some extent with this. Then there was a massive blue explosion. Itadori and Franklin had escaped harm's way. Itadori tried to go to Lucy's location after realizing what had happened, but his wounds from the grenade were still present, and he was knocked out due to the shock. Itadori awakens in a white room where Franklin has been waiting for him. Itadori tried to stand up because he remembered what had happened and felt guilty for not being able to help Lucy. “It wasn't your fault, Itadori; in fact, you were the one who made Lucy realize what she had done and she changed her ways,” Franklin said. She gave up her life for the sake of humanity.” Lucy's need to sacrifice herself made Itadori a little sad. “You fool, stop moping around. “After you're completely healed, you've got a lot of things to do,” a rambunctious adolescent said. When Itadori heard the teenager's voice, he was both pleased and surprised. Feitan was the culprit. Everything Lucy had done had been restored. Everyone in the alternate dimension was also alive. The reason why the other dimension exploded when the Oculus left the dimension is because they needed the energy to keep the balance. When Lucy mixed her DNA with the cube, she had restored the other dimension along with all the people that were killed because of the cube. When she was in the other dimension, she saw Feitan and at first, Feitan didn't remember what happened. He tried to fight Lucy but when Lucy explained everything to him, he immediately helped her to bring the Oculus back to its original place. They encountered the authorities in the other dimension, and Feitan tried to explain Lucy’s side and what had happened. After this, the authorities took the cube and Lucy was still punished because she stole the cube from the other dimension. She had already accepted this and was ready to
sacrifice herself for the peace of everyone. Feitan helped the people in the other dimension to restore what had been lost. In return, they taught Feitan their technology and how to utilize it. Following that, Franklin sought the help of Itadori and Feitan to study the cube and develop other technologies that would benefit the world.

ILLUSTRATION EXPLANATION:
This is the analysis and appreciation for the short story titled "The Oculus". It shows two people in front of a portal looking at a futuristic city with floating cars, trains, buildings, and a large tower with a blue light-emitting from it. The two people near the portal are the two main characters Itadori and Feitan. This image shows the scene in which they traveled to the other dimension in search of the assistant of Mr. Stark which is Lucy Smith. She is hinted from the many digital screens with the silhouette of a wanted person who came from another dimension. The illustration also shows that the dimension they traveled to is more advanced than theirs and that it has many technological advancements that they could learn from. The tower at the back is where the oculus is kept. It can be a kind of foreshadowing because the thing inside that tower is crucial to the progression of the story. This image shows the characters, setting, and the main plot points of the story whilst not revealing the plot itself.
