Guess who fixed their rimworld save?? That's right, it's me! :D

I immediately got raided by mechanoids when I loaded back in, which was scary until I looked closer and-

A group of mechanoids have *single solitary mechanoid has arrived nearby. Just one little guy all by itself.

Poor little pikeman. It almost seemed too easy to just use Tamarind's skip psycast to get melee-inspired Irwin and Xanxalbur in close, then defeat it in three hits.

The zeushammers are extra good against mechanoids since they give EMP bursts, so the pikeman never stood a chance. And even better, Irwin has a little mood bonus because of his fulfilled inspiration and Xanxalbur's kill-happy trait. This raid was basically just a "welcome back" present from Randy!

It was a little disorienting as Benevolent-Overseer Gracie to read about Colonist Gracie getting into a relationship, but I guess I'm happy for her. Not so sure about Wyn'yeysh, whoever he (or she, I guess) is. Sounds like a Yttakin name- of course. Are any of my colonists not related to Yttakin??

Hot Minute doesn't even have a partner listed in her social tab, so I am going to assume she doesn't care about him (or her, I guess) that much.

And then I just thought you should all see Ro as a child, with his perpetually irate expression and his magnificent hair. Isn't he the cutest little thing?? I love him so much.

As someone who's majoring in history AND has the Levithan trilogy in hardback, I am glaring at my books like: OMG I FORGOT ABOUT YOU. I read the books back in middle school when my Great War fixation was around one guy (William Bird). Flash forward several years later and OMG OMG OMG OMG I need to READ THEM AGAIN. Especially since the artist for the books did the ICE COURT map for Six of Crows and the original Shadow and Bone map. Or in shorthand, I NEED Nikolai Lantsov to come to this version of England and go audibly: WHAT THE FUCK and then go be his best self. Excuse the rambling.

man seeing David and Catherine together again was so much fun!! the Meep was so cute and evil, the emotional stuff hit in the right way, I REALLY want to run around in that new TARDIS!!!!

a couple of quibbles (the sonic can suddenly do A Lot huh. and 'we're women so we can in fact just choose not to die' was a bit ??? especially given that Thirteen just had to regenerate and it was Ten who has been known to Not Regenerate Actually in a way very relevant to creation of the DoctorDonna) but overall I had a GREAT time, can def see how this was the most conventional of the three specials and I'm soooo intrigued about next week's!!

kloktober day 25: campfire or left in the cold

we're in the home stretch now babeyyyyy, have some more silly stuff

"And then finally, it turned out to be coming from the bathroom." Murderface finished with a flourish as if expecting applause. There was none, simply the crackling of the campfire. They weren't camping or anything, but that didn't keep them from having a fire going.

"Murderface, that story sucks," Nathan said.

"Yeah, it amn't scaries at all," Skwisgaar scoffed.

"It ams mostlies… really gross?" Toki said with a thoughtful frown.

"I'd like to see you do better!" Murderface crossed his arms.

"Okays. Gets outs of the way." Skwisgaar scooted up closer to the fire, the light adding an eerie glow to his features.

"Oooh, Skwisgaar's got one," Pickles said, leaning in.

Toki watched in rapt attention, hands under his chin.

"Once upons the times," Skwisgaar said, voice low. "A mans was ins his house. It was quiets. A goods time to practice the guitars. So the mans practiced the guitars." He made air guitar motions to demonstrate. "But just thens… the lights wents out!"

He paused for effect.

"The mans realized somethings when the lights was out. He couldn't feels his guitars anymore. It was gones! He grabsed arounds for it, hopings to finds it, but it was nowheres to be founds!"

"What happensed next??" Toki asked, eyes wide.

"Uh, nothings," Skwisgaar said. "That ams the ends of the story."

"Uh, Skwisgaar?" Nathan said. "That sucked too."

"Fucks you! It ams way better than what Murderface saids!"

"Yeah, but like… barely."

"Hey!" Murderface stabbed his knife into the ground. "Mine was better!"

"Nah dude, it was still mostly just gross," Pickles said.

Skwisgaar drew back from the fire, glowering.

"I thoughts it was okays," Toki said, patting him on the shoulder. "Don'ts worry!"

Skwisgaar did not find this reassuring, but tempted as he was to pull away, he didn't. Well, he did better than Murderface at least.

i cannot stress enough i don't have time but this part is sacred. Steve Henderson au, steve and kids arrive at tunnels and steve cant do shit to stop them

The kids jumped out as soon as the car stopped, not waiting to turn it off or anything, leaving him slouched in the backseat. He grabbed at the seats then side on the car to get out and follow, but he overestimated and sent himself tumbling to the ground out the passenger’s door.

“Guys..” he huffed, looking for them. They were all huddled by the open trunk, grabbing stuff stashed inside. His limbs failing him again, he pulled himself up using the door, flinging his weight to rest in the corner it made so he could properly see them. They were putting on goggles and had fabric covering their mouths like makeshift protective gear.

“Oh no..” They’re going in there. They’re going to get themselves killed. “Guys.”

They ignored him and Mike hiked over to the front of the car, purposefully around him.

“Hey, where d’you think you’re going?”

Mike ignored him.

“What, are you deaf? Hellooo?” They all kept ignoring him, they’re all ignoring him, “We are not going down there right now, I made myself clear!” he yelled, trying to get ahold of any of them but everyone managed to avoid him easily.

“There’s no chance we’re going to that hole, alright!”

Still ignored.

Like he's not even here.

He marched to Dustin, still at the trunk, leaning on the car.

“This ends right now!” and shoved a bag back in the trunk and turned to go to the others.

“Steve!”
