Today my mum received a letter from my grand aunt's notary.

It was a draft contract for the donation of a plot of land with fruit trees. The exact plot of land that my great-aunt wanted to give ME and that was now addressed to my mother.

So we pondered for a good while what I had done now again to fall out of favor hard enough for my mother to receive the gift instead of me.

The content of the contract was also a disaster. Contradictions and missing data without end. There were friggin hashtags everywhere for some reasons?? And sentences such as "the property is currently not leased" and one paragraph later: "the property is currently leased to the recipient" (which it definitely isn't).

Well. Turns out the notary made a mistake and put my mother in the contract instead of me. How the hell can this even happen?

And then my aunt told me we need to find a date at the notary's for all three of us (she also gifts a piece of land to an aquaintance she doesn't even like...) - because the notary told her she's only gonna read it out loud once.

Um... dude... there will be two contracts, so you HAVE to read out both. How would this even be legal

- The first time Curly saw Jimmy put on a ponytail for PE in high school, he had a lot of realizations about himself.

- Curly's love language is physical touch. He greets his friends with hugs and shows his support with comforting touches like a hand on the shoulder.

- Jimmy tolerates (secretly loves) it. What he doesn't tolerate is someone touching his hair though. Not even Curly.

- Curly would absolutely love to practice braiding on Jimmy but what can you do.

Last post of the year! How strange. Feels like 2024 has just started when really, it's coming to an end. 2025 will bring a BSc diploma and (hopefully) the start of my master's degree which I still can't believe but also I know it'll happen sooner than I could imagine.

Today: preparing for my molecular pchem final and for the next instrumental analysis test (the last one on electrochem!! Phew 😮‍💨)

Got tagged by wonderful people @patolemus, @demonicfaerie and @teencopandthesourwolf to share a wip, so here is a piece of my sterek twilight au (I'm going insane)

Stiles opened the door and was about to step out, when Derek called him.

“Stiles?”

He turned his head back, only to realize that Derek was very very close.

Stiles’ breath caught, his heart frozen in the sugar coating of trembling anticipation.

The sharp point of Derek’s nose touched his cheek, lighter than the wind. He inhaled deeply, taking the greedy lungfuls of Stiles’ scent into his body. Stiles fought the shiver at the thought of it seeping into Derek’s lungs, traveling with his blood, making Derek think of him, staying with him even when they were apart. It was a feral thought, new but so strong and lustful that it made his head spin from how pleasant it was.

Derek’s eyes fluttered open. His pupils were huge, with the thinnest thread of red wrapped gently around them.

“Sleep well.” His voice was a murmuring thunder.

Stiles swallowed against a dry throat, nodded, and got out of the car.

He walked in a daze to his house, his heart left in that damn Camaro. He stuttered through a weak explanation about his bruise to his Dad (he had to tell Lydia and Allison that he defended them from bad guys just so they knew), and stumbled upstairs.

The room was dark as he walked in. The soft light of the full moon lit the square on the carpet just below the window.

Stiles took a couple of minutes to glance over his makeshift board. With his lips set and his heart thundering in his ears, he tore it all away, leaving scraps of tape stuck to the wall. He then took a fresh sheet of paper, glued it to the wall, and wrote one word in bold black letters.

Stiles stared at it. The word glared back at him, standing out harshly against the white.

He capped the marker, tossed it onto the table, and took off his clothes. Thoughts swarmed his head the entire time, all at once, different and scary. The life and the death, the moon and the ocean, the secrets and their reveal. The thread of red wrapped lovingly around the black depths.

Derek.

Stiles thought about him the most. Something told him that it wouldn't be the last time, far from it. He thought about Derek's softness and his open desire to kill. Stiles’ hands remembered the heat of his hands. His neck longed to feel the coating warmth of Derek’s breath. His lips burned from the kiss that never happened.

Everything was so fucking complicated.

Except one thing.

It was the only clear thought in his head. The one that made his stomach clench from fear, his heart stutter from hope, and his lips stretch in a smile.

He was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with Derek.

Still laughing about how they didn't want to "invalidate" anyone's worldstate. But that is exactly what they did.

Morrigan is the most obvious, I really cannot believe that a Morrigan who was a mother would have so willingly taken into her something like Mythal if she was a mother - of at this point - a 10 year old Kieran. Maybe she would, but it would be for different reasons.

Isabela is the most annoying to me. She's talking about how "Kirkwall taught her about family." as if she couldn't have been given up by Hawke to the Arishok. As if she couldn't have ran away from Kirkwall and never looked back. If I had met an Isabela from a world state like that, she would never have said that.

Harding talking about the Inquisition also feels like it misses some... extra flavour here and there based on actual choices. Like my Inquisitor didn't do well with Blackwall, and he didn't survive to see the end of the game. But Lace speaks about him fondly and in such a way that I don't think she should if the Inquisitor never 'redeemed' him.

Zevran is never mentioned by name, but what if a warden outright killed the assassin hunting them. Or he turned on them in Denerim and died later? Then explain to me that entire banter Lucanis has with Harding about why House Arainai messed up so bad they went trough several Talons about it. And now the Crows don't take contracts in Ferelden anymore.

At that point the reason that was given to us for the lack of worldbuild choices to prevent 'invalidating everyone's worldstate' feels null and void. Because you have. You have invalidated many worldstates already by bringing back these character or have people talk around them in such a way that doesn't make sense.
