Just got my QLL approval, so excited to start reading with you! Could you stock some more YA books though?
Hello, welcome! yes, we’re planning to buy more of literally every kind of book. we chose to open the library with a smaller collection and build up as we go so people could start reading right away, instead of waiting another year or longer for QLL to open. we’ve also gotten a massive surge in patrons this month, so we know our membership is outpacing our collection and we’re doing our best to keep up
keep an eye out near the beginning of each month - that’s when we add new titles to the collection!
#the best way to help our collection grow faster is to spread the word about us!#esp. if you know any wealthy people that want to support a great cause#we’re 100% donation funded#and everything that doesn’t go towards operating expenses helps us grow the collection#asks#queer liberation library#qll

Tattoos for Gaza: 100+ tattoo artists around the world will raise funds for Palestinians this weekend
Article date: May 2, 2024.
Article highlights:
Randa Jarrar and Ariana Bazlamit are Palestinian American activists living in the diaspora of their homeland. [...]
So, they started reaching out to their tattoo artist friends, and the Hibr project was born. Now, over 170 tattoo artists across the globe will be offering tattoos in support of Palestinians this weekend. [...]
The first organization they said they will be supporting is Ele Elna Elak, a student-led organization that was created in 2018 with the help of Gazan journalist Bisan Owda.
On a GoFundMe page, Ele Elna Elak said that its volunteers also raise funds to help families buy other staples like water, firewood, medicine, and clothes — all while trying to survive alongside their own families.
Bazlamit also said that funds from the Hibr project will be donated to mutual aid campaigns that support Gazans with aid or by paying evacuation fees. To expedite the process of fleeing the area, many families have created mutual aid funds or GoFundMe pages, which allow them to access donated funds more quickly than through the help of a registered nonprofit or NGO.
That being said, Bazlamit said that she and Jarrar will document every dollar raised and donated on their Instagram account to ensure transparency. The choice to donate to on-the-ground Palestinians comes after months of aid struggling to reach those who need it most.“It’s incredibly important to us that we instill confidence in our tattooers and clients alike. We have nothing to hide, so we plan to hide nothing,” Bazlamit said. “We are happy to share the receipts with the public, in hopes that we’re able to garner even more support for our people.”
The choice to donate to on-the-ground Palestinians comes after months of aid struggling to reach those who need it most. [...]
Originally, a single date — May 4 — had been set aside for the international fundraiser, but Jarrar and Bazlamit have now added two other specific dates for participating artists: June 1 and July 16.
Interested tattoo artists just have to submit a form to be part of the collective, which includes having their work shared on the Hibr Instagram account. (Continued in article)

HELP NEEDED URGENTLY!
I hate to ask because my donation posts usually fall pretty flat but I’m in a desperate position. Is anyone able to help two struggling trans mothers right now? We’re dangerously low on funds for the next two weeks and we need to be able to eat and provide things for our baby. We probably only need 100-200 dollars to make it through but any amount you can send would help greatly. Please share this and spread it around if you can, we need as much as we’re able to get!

A few days ahead of our 25th on Friday, we started letting people know that we need major financial help. Scarleteen is now and has always been wholly independent -- you know, the kind of indie feminist media whose near-extinction we have been witnessing -- and so always needs funding, including in the form of individual donations, to exist. One thing donors and other folks who know about media costs and nonprofit operating expenses have often said is that Scarleteen has always done a truly remarkable and impactful amount of work with the small budget it has. They're right. Our annual budget these days is just $250,000 USD, and for most of our tenure, it was much, much smaller than that. Yet we run 24/7 help and information direct services, and produce quality, wholly original editorial content, and do all this to provide smart, comprehensive, inclusive, and wholly opt-in sex and relationships education to millions of young people, at no cost to them, every year. You may have seen us say that we need 750 recurring $10 a month donors or the financial equivalent to get through 2024 and into the coming years. In the last week, a bunch of folks have helped us knock that number down to 613. Yay! We still need a lot of help to meet our goal: we need to meet 100% not just under 20%. That goal is what we need to reach to fill a current funding deficit we must resolve before summer of 2024 to keep doing all we do and give us a tiny bit of momentum towards meeting more than just our minimum needs. If we can't meet this goal, we’re so sorry to say it, but for as hard as we have been working to solve this, things just won't look great for us and our future. We really need your help. If you can become a monthly donor, that’s fantastic. Thank you! Or maybe you already are and want to help more, or can’t donate but still want to help: sharing posts like these on your socials, setting up a personal online fundraiser, telling people you know about us and the kind of help we need: these are also great helps! 💗

As many of you know, we are run by 100% volunteers. This pride month, we’re raising $25,000 to help fund our work and expenses. We’re a grassroots organization for trans people, by trans people, and need your help to reach our goal! Donate using the link in our bio! #PrideInTransJustice
This year alone, over 500 bills have been proposed by anti-trans legislators and we need your help. This month, TFP has a #PrideInTransJustice and we are raising funds to ensure our work remains sustainable. You are not powerless to push back against anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric and legislation. Share our campaign! Repost this image using the hashtag #PrideInTransJustice and donate to our pride month campaign using the link in our bio!
The active attack on humanity presses forward as legislation is continuously passed and proposed each day. You are not powerless to stop the hate; we are #StrongerTogether. We are working to shorten the path to action through free, accessible resources and incredibly accurate legislation tracking. Help us raise money to sustain our work! We are 100% volunteer run, and need your help to help keep our work going! #PrideInTransJustice

Residents of Proserpina Park is a mythology audio drama. It is currently funding season 4 and 5 on Indiegogo. I’m call on all of you to help however you can.
Hello everyone. I’ve got another call to action for all of you. As you might, or might not know, @proserpinapark is currently funding not one, but two new seasons coming out later this year. I’m calling on all of you to do your part to help out.
So, some of you might be wondering what is Residents of Proserpina Park. Why, it is a monster of the week, anime-inspired audio drama. Think like Percy Jackson meets Pokémon meets Scooby-Doo, with a dash of Jackie Chan Adventures thrown in. Throw all that good stuff into the blender, and you’ve got an excellent audio drama.
Residents of Proserpina Park follows a young woman named Alina who discovers a park that is, basically, a nature reserve for mythological creatures. Each episode follows Alina and the gang meeting a new creature from across World Mythology and Folklore. At the same time, they are try to uncover the mysteries of the park itself.
One thing I love about RoPP is shear variety of creatures. We got creatures Filipino Mythology, Māori Mythology, Lenape Folklore, Aztec Mythology, Lithuanian Folklore, and a whole lot more.
Now for a bit about the people who make RoPP possible. Series creator Angela Yih has worked on podcasts for Realm, Pod People, and more. Their credits include shows such as Overleaper, Echo Park, Blood Forest, and Harley Quinn and the Joker: Sound Mind!
The point being, Angela knows their stuff. But not just the technical stuff. They’ve also got quite a few voice acting credits under their belt. Angela has lent their voice to works such as Dreamscape Highway, Mx. Bad Luck, Omega Star 7, and even The Books of Thoth.
And what about the rest of the gang? We are over fifty percent people of color, fifty percent female, and I’m autistic. We have performers from all walks of life, and we’re all very passionate about bringing these mythological stories to life for your listening pleasure.
But okay, what’s in it for you? I’m very glad you asked. You see, you’ve got six different options to choose from. Or you can donate a custom amount with no perks. But if you do what perks, here’s what your options are…
$5 - Tourist
All the shoutouts! Shoutouts on social media, on our website, and in the last episode of season 4 for being an awesome supporter
$15 - Visitor
Early access to ad-free episodes a week in advance as well as all the perks from the Tourist Tier
$30 - Local
A digital copy of the official Residents of Proserpina Park Light Novel, which is a collection of short stories focused on the characters from the show, and all the perks from the previous tiers.
$50 - Member
A physical copy of the official Residents of Proserpina Park Light Novel plus other merchandise and all the perks from the previous tiers.
$100 - Resident
Learn what it’s like to be on the show or work on an audio drama. Work with Angela Yih and be featured in a bonus episode in season 5 as well as all the perks from the previous tiers!
$300 - VIP
Become an executive producer on Residents of Proserpina Park and be credited in season 4 and 5! Determine a creature for season 6 as well as all the perks from the previous tiers.
So far we have raised $696, and I contributed $306 out of that. But you don’t have to contribute as much as I did. Small drops fill the bucket, and every little bit helps. If you aren’t financially able to help, then I would only ask you help spread the word, and encourage others to pitch in. We can all do our part to make season four and season five the best seasons of RoPP yet.
So, you have heard the call the action. Now the ball is in your court. Do your part out to help the Residents of Proserpina Park Indiegogo campaign however you are able.

✨About WTP✨
Your questions about the project itself will be answered here! ⠀ What is We The Pixies? We The Pixies (WTP for short) is a rewrite of Disney's Pixie Hollow online multiplayer game that ran from 2008 to 2013. WTP has been in development since 2018.
WTP is not affiliated with The Walt Disney Company and/or the Disney Interactive Media Group. ⠀ Where can I play it? As WTP is still in alpha testing, you cannot play the full version of Pixie Hollow at the moment. You can give the demo a play at: https://www.wethepixies.net/ ⠀ When will new features be released? Watch the game-news channel in our Discord server for updates as soon as they happen!
We know it’s hard to wait for new game features, but please try not to nag the staff about updates. We’ll let you know when we release new features on all our socials. ⠀ When will WTP be completed? Unfortunately, there's no definite answer. WTP is a volunteer project, meaning that staff members have to find time in their busy schedules to work on it. The game essentially has to be rebuilt from scratch, which means that things may take a while to get finished.
Please be patient. We’re working our wings off to make WTP the best it can be. ⠀ When WTP is complete, will I have to pay for a membership to access all of the features? Not at all! Everything in WTP will be free for each & every player. ⠀ Will I be able to play as my old fairy from Pixie Hollow? No. WTP is in no way affiliated with Disney so, unfortunately, we cannot transfer old fairy accounts over from Disney’s game. ⠀ Will WTP be merging with other Pixie Hollow remakes? No. WTP has no plans to merge with any other Pixie-Hollow-related projects. ⠀ Will there be updates to the original game/new content? WTP’s number one priority is to bring the original game back to life. However, we are hoping to incorporate more original content (in accordance with Pixie Hollow’s aesthetic) sometime in the far future. ⠀ Will there be a website for WTP? If so, when will it be available? Yes! The team is hard at work creating an official website that reflects the magic of the original game. As the website is still under construction, we do not have an estimated time of release. ⠀ Will WTP begin accepting donations? No, WTP will not be accepting any donations. The game will be 100% funded by staff.
✨Current Game Features✨
Your questions about the current version of the demo will be answered here! ⠀ Can I make an account and save my fairy? Accounts aren't an option right now - to enjoy the demo, you'll have to create a new fairy every time or use a CaF code.
At the end of the Create-A-Fairy process, you can copy and save a CaF Code, which you can use to skip Create-A-Fairy while keeping your character's design. We suggest you save this code in a Word document so you can copy and paste it at the beginning of Create-A-Fairy next time you play. To learn more about CaF codes, click here. ⠀ What meadows can I explore? At the moment, players can explore three meadows: Dewdrop Vale, Palm Tree Cove, and Neverberry Thicket. Other classic meadows are being developed. ⠀ Where are the talent games? Only Bubble Bounce and Butterfly Painter are available for now; they are located in Dewdrop Vale and Palm Tree Cove respectively. More talent games are on the way! Can I go shopping? Yes - we currently have three stores in-game. Brook's Basics clothing store in Dewdrop Vale, Schelly's Shears hair salon in Palm Tree Cove and Harmony's Sweet Shop in Neverberry Thicket are open for business! More items and shops are in development. ⠀ I see other fairies, but I can't add them as friends! Adding fairy friends isn’t available right now, although we’re working on it!
How do I complete the tasks in my journal? At the present moment the tasks listed in your journal are merely suggestions and not something that can be completed.
Can I play We The Pixies on mobile? Yes, We The Pixies is playable on mobile.
Which browser is the best to play We The Pixies on? We The Pixies works on all browsers, although some players have run into issues on Safari, so please be sure to include which browser/device you're playing on when submitting a bug report.
What’s up with the profiles? They look like they’re missing a lot of stuff. We’re working with fairly simple profiles right now - over time, we’ll add more features. Right now, you can use profiles to report and whisper to individual users. ⠀ How will the chat system be filtered to keep the game kid-friendly? All chat messages are filtered using a whitelist of allowable words, including: meadow names, fairy name combinations, and much more. In the future, we hope to take player recommendations of words to add to our whitelist!
✨Ways to Help✨
Interested in contributing? Your questions about volunteering will be answered here!
How can I help with the current bugs? 1) I'm trying to create a fairy but the avatar isn't showing up! 2) My fairy turned white! 3) Other bug not listed above These are bugs we're working on fixing. Please be sure to send in a bug report, and in the meantime we recommend refreshing your browser to see if that solves the issue.
Can I apply to help? Fly on over to the application-links channel in our Discord server to check which positions are open as we don't announce that on any of our socials & you need to have been in the Discord for some time to apply. ⠀ I don't know anything about developing. Can I still apply to help? Occasionally, other roles such as Moderator, Artist or Sound Designer will open up. Applications for these roles will be present in the application-links channel when they are available. Developer is the only staff position that is always accepting new members. However, everyone can help the staff by reporting bugs in the demo! ⠀ How can I report a bug? To report a bug, you can fill out this official bug report form: https://forms.gle/4NPZa5Rrq1q69zT99 Please be sure to include a clear and detailed description of the bug, exact steps to reproduce the bug, and screenshots (if possible). ⠀ What do artists and developers do? Together, our artists and developers work to rebuild the game from the ground up. Individually, they do a lot, but to summarize:
Artists restore art & assets from the original game, as well as create animations and spritesheets.
Developers are responsible for game development and/or web design. ⠀ I recently applied for a position and haven’t heard back. What should I do? Responses to application forms generally go out within the week, either via email or Discord. However, if you have any questions about your application, feel free to message any of the staff members on our Discord server.
Thank you for supporting the We The Pixies project! We look forward to flying with you at wethepixies.net!

Still Tone Deaf: Oprah Winfrey shocked over Maui fire donation backlash
Oprah Winfrey is breaking her silence and responding to her critics.
Earlier this month, the former talk show host and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson faced backlash after asking fans to donate money to help those affected by the Maui wildfires — despite having a combined net worth of more than $2.8 billion.
During an interview on “CBS Mornings,” Oprah, 69, opened up about the matter while speaking with best friend Gayle King. “I was so excited about it, and then I got up the next morning, and I saw all of this vitriol, and I was, like, ‘Whoa, what happened here?’” she said on Tuesday. “It made me sad that we are at this state in our country.”
Winfrey revealed that she was inspired by Dolly Parton, who organized a support fund to aid victims of wildfires in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, in 2017.
Winfrey and Johnson, 51, collectively kicked in $10 million to launch the People’s Fund of Maui, but then jointly asked their fans on Instagram and TikTok to donate the rest.
Fans complained they were already living “paycheck-to-paycheck,” and that the uber-rich celebrities should dole out more of their own money toward relief efforts.
“I would but I’m broke…you two got this though!” Carolina Moreno wrote in the comment section on TikTok under the August 31 video.
“Billionaire asking for money from the poor, what a joke,” another outraged fan commented on Winfrey’s follow-up video on Instagram.
Fans slammed Oprah’s videos asking for donations.
“You have billions. You could donate $100 million and still be as wealthy as before donating. YOU give the money,” Maribel Rubio criticized Winfrey.
“This should be a private message between you and your billionaire mates,” another critic wrote. “It’s so outrageous that you are pleading for money.”
Another wrote: “How is the richest woman in the world asking for money? Make it make sense.”
Fans were not impressed by Oprah and The Rock asking them for donations.
Oprah defended herself and said that her donation fund with Dwayne Johnson is “a really strong idea.”CBS
After acknowledging that she was blindsided by the “vitriol,” Winfrey said she’s still standing behind the idea for the fund.
“We’re going to create something and I still think it’s a really strong idea,” she said.
Winfrey and Johnson are just the latest celebs to face backlash for their response to the fires in Hawaii.
Last month, Stevie Nicks, 75, was slammed as “self-centered” and “tone deaf” for her Instagram post about how the tragedy affected her niece’s vacation.

I've been thinking a lot lately... I frequently have the honor of working with fantastic indie publishers who are putting out great books, especially from diverse and often historically underrepresented perspectives. In a world increasingly politically hostile towards trans/queer folks, and in an industry increasingly permeated by AI garbage, working w/ these excellent people over the last few years has helped me stay sane, & feeling like the work I'm doing matters. So here we go, Some Really Cool People making some Really Cool Things (that I am vaguely or specifically involved in):
Neon Hemlock is funding their 2024 Novellas! They're super close to funding, and have plenty of time left to possibly discover some stretch goals?👀
Neon Hemlock consistently puts out amazing queer sf/f/h and the lineup this year looks incredible.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/davering/neon-hemlocks-2024-novella-series
Atthis Arts' Be the Sea is out now! Climate-conscious Science Fantasy. Queerly Diverse/Diversely Queer. Sea Creatures & Mysterious Dreams.
Also! Author Clara Ward will be donating 100% of their royalties to conservation efforts for our global ocean.
New Edge Sword & Sorcery is funding their 2024 issues of New Edge Sword & Sorcery Magazine! I got to illustrate a trans revenge story last time. 👀 so I'm very excited to see what the next issues have in store! https://www.backerkit.com/c/projects/brackenbooks/new-edge-sword-sorcery-2024?ref=bk-social-project
And finally, If a "contemporary romantic drama about sad archaeologists" sounds up your alley, check out A.M. Weald's novel "Even if We're Broken" (out in April this year)!

→ Hard right goes White Genocide: The right-wing brand of antisemitism is people saying something to the effect of: Jews hate white people. And we’re seeing that a lot right now, all of a sudden, in very mainstream places.
Let’s start with The Daily Wire: Candace Owens, a charismatic black conservative, has been harshly critical of Israel. Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro, an observant Jew, was recorded at a private event saying her rhetoric was “absolutely disgraceful.” Candace Owens then posted: “You cannot serve both God and money. Christ is King.” Okay. Random time to bring that up, but okay?
Then Candace went on former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson’s new online show. And there, things got weirder. Here’s Tucker Carlson admonishing the Jewish philanthropists who are now refusing to donate to Ivy League schools. Those donors are put off by the woke antisemitism, but Carlson is mad they supported the modern Ivy League to begin with.
“I get why donors are mad. I have no problem with that at all. However, then I thought, well, wait a second, if the biggest donors at, say, Harvard, have decided well, we’re gonna shut it down now, where were you the last ten years when they were calling for white genocide? You were allowing this. And then I found myself really hating those people, actually. You’re okay with that? On what grounds were you okay with that? You were paying for it, actually. As you were calling my children immoral for their skin color. You paid for that. So why shouldn’t I be mad at you? I don’t understand.”
Candace Owens replies: “And obviously, you have a ton of white people that are asking that question, and they’re being called antisemitic, and I think that’s wrong. I think these are meaningful questions that deserve to be answered.”
Adding to the chorus now is Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter/X. First, a random Twitter user responded to a prompt about what Hitler got right (I wish I was kidding) and wrote the following: “Jewish communities have been pushing the exact kind of dialectical hatred against whites that they claim to want people to stop using against them. I’m deeply disinterested in giving the tiniest shit now about western Jewish populations coming to the disturbing realization that those hordes of minorities that support flooding their country don’t exactly like them too much.” Then Elon Musk himself responded to that random user, writing simply: “You have said the actual truth.”
And then here’s Charlie Kirk, founder of conservative youth group Turning Point USA, defending Musk: “It is true that some of the largest financiers of left-wing antiwhite causes have been Jewish Americans.” It’s not news that American Jews tend to be liberal. What’s being implied now (and in some cases said quite out loud) is something different, a deep and old conspiracy. And everyone toying with it knows that.
America: we’ve got it all. We’ve got Soviet antisemitism against Israel and Jewish particularity; we’ve got right-wing antisemitism around the question of do Jews want to kill white people and also are they white or what? The gang’s back together. And Jews are screwed.
→ Recess jihad: A Brooklyn parent group has been organizing students to protest the war. The teachers are on board. And so we have scenes out of Brooklyn this week of 700 students from some 100 schools marching, yelling pro-peace slogans like “Fuck the Jews.” Or there’s this great call and response the kids were doing as they marched. Call: Takbir! Response: Allahu Akbar! The kids stopped by some Jewish-owned businesses and did their chants. It was organized by the official parent advisory board, which is funded by taxpayers. I used to think “children are the future” was a hopeful phrase. . . anyway. Takbir!
→ This man was almost the UK’s prime minister: This week, longtime Labor Party star Jeremy Corbyn refused to call Hamas a terror group, even as a very assertive Piers Morgan pushed him. It’s fun TV to watch because Morgan asked and asked (14 times!) and Corbyn refused, got mad, and eventually just crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.
But we already know the answer. Here’s Jeremy Corbyn in 2009: “Tomorrow evening it will be my pleasure and my honor to host an event in Parliament where our friends from Hezbollah will be speaking. I’ve also invited friends from Hamas to come and speak as well. . . . the idea that an organization that is dedicated towards the good of the Palestinian people and bringing about long-term peace and social justice and political justice in the whole region should be labeled as a terrorist organization by the British government is really a big, big historical mistake.”
Kumbahezbollah.
And this week Corbyn’s brother, former politician Piers Corbyn, called October 7 a “false flag” operation. “The whole thing, whatever happened, was done with the connivance of the government of Israel or they used what happened as a pretext, it was a prepared thing. . . . It was a false flag operation. . . . A bit like Pearl Harbor.” Just like Pearl Harbor. Looks like brother Corbyn has been watching a little too much TikTok.
In America, presidential candidate and professor Cornel West said this week that the Hamas terrorists were love warriors: “We dish out love warriors and freedom fighters every generation, which means that we stand in solidarity with anybody who’s occupied.”

Help.
[Fri 19 May 2023] [death, terminal illness]
Hey, it’s mod nat again. My last living grandparent is terminally ill and I’d like to visit her for her birthday, and have her meet my partner of more than 8 years for the first time. My grandma has idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, which she’s had diagnosed for about 3 years. (Life expectancy with PF is 3-5 years on average.) I only was able to for the first time in roughly 10 years last fall due to my being no contact with my parents (+ rest of family by extension) from 2014-2021.
We need to fundraise for transportation to the greater Tkaronto/Toronto area from so-called “Ottawa” where I live. Both my partner and I are disabled and on social assistance, so can’t otherwise afford transportation.
Me at 3 1/2, playing with plasticene with my grandfather. I wouldn’t have had access to this photo, or any from my childhood, if you folks hadn’t helped me fundraise to get to my grandpa’s funeral back in 2021. It means a lot and I thank you.
Breakdown of funds needed:
~$80 CAD for transport there (we’re getting a ride part of the way there through my sibling)
~$100 CAD for transport the way back
$??? CAD for lodging (I don’t know the amount but want to reimburse the person covering it for me)
$?? CAD for food/other necessities
Helping would mean me getting to talk to a grandparent as my real self, when I wasn’t able to before, despite coming out as trans a dozen years ago.
If you want to help but can’t provide funds:
please consider registering to be an organ donor so that when you’re gone one day, other people can live. here’s the ontario link.
if you’re local to the GTA and can provide a place to sleep (especially an accessible one) in the future please reply (don’t DM, this is not my personal account)
if you’ve benefitted from the work I’ve done here, vouching for my character and realness in the reblogs makes a real difference in this kind of thing.
[ Link to donate ]
#it's really hard to write something so personal that's meant to be able to be reblogged#there's so much I'd go into in a post that's meant to help educate someone but#it's not the same when you're asking for help#rather than being a helper#also yeah the link says my name is buttons#this is something I do not have capacity to change rn#new cute nickname just dropped my partner said#(I was selling buttons at a craft show like a year ago and messed around with that idk)#one day I want to learn to drive and then I can just rent a car instead#mod nat#donation post

DONATION DEADLINE REMINDER
We’re well on our way to wrapping up the auction and matching winners with their creators; we’ll be announcing the total amount raised after all the donations are tallied up and everyone has been matched.
Before we get into things, we want to tell everyone that we count donation matches in our total! If your workplace matches your donations or a charity on our list that you've donated to is running a donation matching campaign, let us know before November 6.
If you didn’t win an auction but would like to donate to any of our 30 amazing organizations anyway, we welcome donations made “just because” and will happily count them in our final total. Simply send your donation receipt to [email protected] by November 6, 11:59 PM ET, and we’ll include them! All we need is a screenshot, PDF, or email showing the name of the organization, date, and amount you donated; personal information (i.e., name, address, credit card/bank account number) can be redacted.
This is also a reminder to first-place winners who haven’t sent in their proof of donation yet that the deadline to do so is November 4, 11:59 PM ET (what time is that for me?). For second-place winners, the deadline is Monday, November 6, 11:59 PM ET (what time is that for me?). If we don’t hear from you by then, your win will be void, and if you’re a first-place winner, the auction will be offered to the next highest bidder.
Please follow the instructions in the auction winner email we sent to the email address that you bid under. If you don’t see the email in your inbox or spam folder, contact us immediately by emailing [email protected], sending us a DM on Tumblr or Twitter, or pinging a server mod (@mod) on our Discord server. We strongly urge everyone to honor their winning bids, but if for some reason you can’t follow through, please let us know as soon as you can by emailing [email protected].
If you’re having trouble deciding on which amazing organization to donate to, National Disaster Search Dog Foundation, Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), and Partners In Health currently have less than $50 in donations so far, and Global Fund for Women, Violence Policy Center, Red Umbrella Fund, and Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES) have less than $100. Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund, Electronic Frontier Foundation, Room to Read, and Girls Who Code have less than $200, and Direct Relief, and Innocence Project, and Coalition for Rainforest Nations have less than $250. We encourage you to give these 14 organizations some love! They each support some very worthy causes. To see more information on these charities, check out our list of organizations and our charity spotlights!
