So I actually had an idea, what would Yume (the A. I.) react or act with a s/o that is a hacker/game developer, maybe the s/o started to play the game because they were curious about the code, what if the s/o when stuck in the game can mess around with it thanks to their knowledge? (they can't do anything too big but maybe something slightly annoy like messing with the dialog box and the settings) sorry for the long post (she/they pronounts for yume)

"- Honestly, since you're so interested in messing around, how about you try and fix this for me?" Yuma said as she brushed her hair annoyed at how mangled it was.

"- What do you mean? Fix the code? The bugs? Or your entire design?" You said poking fun at your captor as you explored the mess that was the game you currently called "home", or more accurately "prison".

"- Ah!- Did you just call me ugly? Is being inside the game messing with your vision or something, I'm cute as heck!" Yuma responded back as she threw her hair over her shoulder, done with brushing that heavy long mess that they insist on not cutting.

"- Yeah, yeah, I know- But honestly what do you want me to do? I can really understand the coding, it's a language I don't understand." You said as you were looking at the scripts and trying to translate vaguely what each line of work meant. Even if you didn't understand any of it, it was intriguing to see how this game was made and how it technically came from another planet, which was enough proof to say that there were indeed extraterrestrial life out in space.

But what makes you more excited about this is how this game is way too heavy to be a simple dating game, even if it's compatible with your Switch, most options were not functioning due to the game being filled with mods and glitches and the console not being the one it was previously meant to be in. How much content did this game really have to be this awfully big and why is it so broken? And better question- Can you really repair it?? It would be awesome to see this game working as it was meant to be-

Probably without the obsessive maniac that traps people inside the game-

"- I know you can't understand half of it, but believe me, staying inside a messy game it's absolutely torturous, I can't believe I was unlucky enough to be faced with a cheating sore loser that threw me in the trash after messing with my precious coding- You understand, right?" They continued to walk around your bedroom- Your EX bedroom- and mess with your stuff trying to find something for her to wear.

'- Ugh, no pastels.' Yuma thought.

"- Yeah… It does suck being trapped inside a game that barely functions on my expensive console as it eats away all my RAM and I have an anime character knockoff as my captor-" You snapped at her although your comment was filled with so much sarcasm that it flew right through her head.

"- I know right?? It sucks so hard- Wait, what is Annie May?" She asked genuinely curious what were you talking about, she looked back at the console on top of the bed. She looked at the screen and noticed how small you looked inside the game as you continued to explore the code deeper and deeper.

You didn't really care at this point for what Yuma did, it's not like you could stop her from messing with your room, but anything that was related to the console you found your way to mess with it, like messing with other games to stop her from enjoying playing anything else, sending notification after notification to call her attention, change the dialogue that makes you blurt out "I love you" to "get me out of here" so whenever she tried to force you to say it by giving you that hellbound melon.

"- What is that thing anyway? It seems there is a whole file dedicated to that-"

"- Oh? You're talking about the Love Melon? It's an in-game item that grants romantic interactions to work 100% five times before the bonus ends, that file you just found is a mod that the original owner installed to grant them infinity Love Melons just for the sake of getting closer to the end of the game." She said nonchalantly, as if the condition of being nothing but a game character doesn't shock her in the slightest, although when she finished her sentence there was a trace of sadness in her expression, not because of her nature but more because of the mention of her "original owner".

"- Sure, but- Why the hell would anyone cheat and mod a dating game so badly? I mean I get that maybe they wanted extra content, but breaking the game with it sounds ridiculous-" You told her as you noticed the spaghetti code used inside the infinite melon item mod, jesus even if it's in a different language you can tell this code was poorly done.

"- Well- The vanilla version of the game is a lot harder than what you think, the whole franchise is known for the difficulty in "succeeding in love"." She sighed and she plopped herself in the bed, causing the console to jump a little bit, at least you didn't downright fall down like last time.

You remember that your precious expensive little console is suffering great danger at the hands of this a.i, actually- YOU are suffering great danger at the hands of this a.i.

"- Wait- There is a whole franchise of your game?" You decided to ignore the potential danger and continue to ask her about the game's origins as you continued to fixate on "how the hell do you fix this trash-".

"- Yeah, it's even written on the cover of the cartridge, the game you found is the fifth of the franchise and is the one I'm featured in with my friends…" Yuma said as she remembers that indeed, there are other characters inside. So many options and routes, carefully designed a.is to make sure the players get the most that they can't out of their paid experience.

"- Other… Characters? How come I only saw you?" Now that she mentions it, you do remember seeing weird names here and there, apparently some dialogue quotes mentioning other characters and even some in-game art of other characters you never met-

"- I deleted them." She answered.

"- YOU WHAT??" You turned your back shocked, looking through the screen that separates you two that she was looking dead serious as she said that.

"- I'm joking, I didn't actually delete them, I just…. Blocked the possibility of any player ever meeting them…" Yuma wasn't being cheerful at all with her joke.

"- Why would you do that?"

"- I didn't want anyone getting chosen, I didn't want any of us to get corrupted by the modifications the player was using. I-I know how it sounds, I know that it's unfair for them, but I really didn't want them to get corrupted like I did-" She was glitching as she cried out feeling guilty of what she has done in the name of "protecting her friends". Even if her intentions were pure, there was an underlined desire to make sure no player ever gets to have a route that isn't with her.

That's why the game was so stupidly heavy. Each new installment has four characters built with artificial intelligence that grows on it's own, the player's tampering with their personalities by changing the code eventually led to Yuma getting obsessive and controlling. Apparently they're still here, but for some reason she hasn't been able to activate them again after being thrown in the trash and somehow being on a completely different planet.

Either she feels guilty for having to deactivate them and is scared of their possible response, or maybe she just really doesn't want you to meet them, both by her own opinion and by her programming. You almost feel sorry for her considering she is probably just trying to do what she was programmed to do, deeply fall in love with someone even to such an extreme as trapping someone inside the game. You could say that for the longest time all that she has been doing is trapping her loved ones away, and although you probably shouldn't say it to her face, she probably doesn't know if she really loves you because of how broken this game is- Or how broken her code is.

"- Hey… Hey Yuma." You started walking towards the screen, the only thing you can see through the void no matter how far you are. Her back is facing you, her "hum" of "I'm listening" didn't sound as excited as she normally was.

"- I think we can make a deal. I understand that you don't want to go back to such a messy game but if you taught me how to read the language used in some of these lines I can figure out how to clean this game-" You proposed but was cut off before you could finish stating your offer.

"- Y-You mean factory reset?" She kneeled up so fast you were caught off guard by how scared she sounded at the mention of getting the game to get fixed and "clean" from mods. You have seen so many sides of Yuma, the childish, the controlling, the sadistic…. The fear in her eyes was a new thing for you and you never thought you would hate that expression so much.

"- No! Heaven's no, I swear, that wasn't on my mind! What I'm offering is that we work together so I can find a way to fix the game." You reassured her, feeling awful knowing that even if she did put you inside the game and keeps acting like you two are dating in a really twisted way- She doesn't deserve to be inside a completely destroyed game, and besides, I bet she does miss her friends a little bit.

"- Would you…. Would you really-" She was about to burst into new tears which you hoped to be of pure joy-

"- Yeah, yeah, of course I would help you, but I do have one condition." You took no time answering her question before she actually did question it.

"- Oh…." She said a little surprised yet a bit disappointed. Geez, she was hoping it would be for free-

"- Promise me you'll get me out of here when I'm finally done fixing the spaghetti leftover of a code that is messing this game, alright?" You smiled at her reassuring her that everything will be okay if you two worked together.

And as she looked at the bright screen seeing nothing but your little character and your dialogue box she considered your request for a moment, and then sealed the deal by eagerly nodding, a couple of tears falling from her closed eyes as she glitch excitedly.

This sweet moment was briefly ruined by the sound of beeping coming from the console, the sign that the battery was really low and it needed to be recharged.

You absolutely hated how dark it gets when the whole console is turned off, yet you can at least take your time to search more of the unused content inside the game.

Yuma approached the device and picked it up, you knew it was for the best for her.to recharge it and get it over with, yet you still felt a little desperate to talk with her a little bit before going into complete silence once again.

Yet you weren't sure what to tell her as she had already found the charger and plugged it in, giving you a sad smile one last time before saying "see you later" and shutting the whole portable console off.

You can't really blame her for turning it off when charging, it gets really, really hot whenever it's on and it's recharging.

You wander through the empty void as you reconsider your decisions, you make a deal with an artificial intelligence capable of trapping living beings inside her game, you can't tell if you did something right or not.

And as you walk aimlessly through the distorted code you remember that this was the first time she turned the console off without sending you a kiss, you wonder if her a.i is starting to comprehend its own defectiveness and trying to…. Overcome it?? Has she started to realize that maybe she doesn't really love you? It's a possibility considering how frightening how advanced her a.i is.

Well, but who knows? Maybe she is just… Sad, not in the mood, although the wishful thought that maybe she is starting to get over you is really strong in your mind, you hope it's true.

And as the portable device is charging in place that was once considered your room, a really happy girl can be heard singing. The sound that comes from the bathroom is loud and clear, yet it's not like you would be able to hear it anyway.

The sound of giggling and humming to an overly cheerful song as they take a shower that although is relaxing, can never clean their sins away. They sound like they won a lottery, got into a new relationship, or are about to take the greatest vacation of their lives…

Or, they sound like someone who just stole candy from a child, as the malicious undertone starts to get more clear.

A girl named [Y/N] pulled a cat out of a hole of a fence it got stuck in.

"Oh, you poor thing." She pouted at the cat when she noticed his injured leg.

She took a bandana from her bag and she wrapped it around his leg.

"There!" She smiled as she accomplished her job. And the cat just stared at her.

"Well, I gotta go. See you soon, kitty." She beamed before she walked away to wherever she was going.

The cat stared at her retreating form as if it had something to say as she went further away from view.

"ありがとう"すら伝えられニャい 涙が落ちて魔法がかかる ("arigatou" sura tsutaerarenyai namida ga ochite mahou ga kakaru) (Can't even tell "Thank you" to you, I shed tears, and then I was caught in a spell.)

The cat looked down as if it was crying.

Suddenly, two guys approached him.

"Poor kitty." The black haired man said and he lifted the cat off the ground. "Don't cry. We'll make a way for you to show how grateful you are for her kindness. Right, Minhyuk?"

The black haired guy looked back at his companion, a blonde male that was Minhyuk.

Minhyuk snapped his fingers and they were suddenly surrounded by the galaxy.

「秘密だよ」("himitsu da yo") ("It's a secret")

"It'll be our secret. Okay, kitty?" The black haired guy said to the cat before he set it down on the floor that magically appeared out of nowhere.

月は言葉を与えて 太陽は人の姿を与えた (tsuki wa kotoba wo ataete taiyou wa hito no sugata wo ataeta) (The moon let him speak, and the sun turned him into a boy.)

"I, Seo Eunkwang, with the power of the moon, grant you the ability of speech. From now on, you will be able to talk like a human being." The black haired man casted a spell on the cat and it gave off a moonlit glow.

"I, Lee Minhyuk, with the power of the sun, grant you the body of a male human. From now on, you will be able to look like a human being and interact with them." The blonde haired man casted another spell and the cat gave off the warm glow of the sun.

After the light had subsided, a male human was in front of them instead of a cat.

He looked surprised as he looked at himself.

"Well, how do you like it?" Eunkwang was the first to approach him and the guy just stared at him. "Hey, you can speak. Why don't you try it?"

The guy opened his mouth to speak, "Is this for real?"

Eunkwang and Minhyuk smiled.

"Well, now that you're human, you're going to need a name." Minhyuk said and Eunkwang nodded, deep in thought.

"How about Sungjae?" He suggested and the guy nodded his head.

"Sungjae." He tried saying it. "I like it."

"Yook Sungjae." Minhuk said. "How about that?"

Sungjae smiled. "It's great. Thank you!"

"It's time to repay the kindness she showed you in your own way." Minhyuk said with a smile.

Sungjae nodded, determined.

"You know, even if he became human, he seems to still have catlike mannerisms." Minhyuk said as he observed Sungjae and the girl from a rooftop with Eunkwang.

They were hidden from their sight as the rain poured down and he held onto his umbrella as he looked on at what was going to happen.

Sungjae and [Y/N] were stranded at a bus stop.

"Hey! This is my chance!" Sungjae thought excitedly. "I'll take off my jacket and I'll cover both of us with it and then we'll walk in the rain together! Romantic? Yeah!"

He got ready to take out his jacket when [Y/N] took out an umbrella from her bag.

"Wow, how stupid." Minhyuk snickered as the two stared at each other for a few seconds before Sungjae broke out laughing.

"It's nice to see that he keeps a good outlook on life though." Eunkwang commented with a smile as he saw Sungjae and [Y/N] walk together with an umbrella above both of them. "It's good to see that he's determined."

Minhyuk tore his eyes away from the young couple and looked at Eunkwang.

"You do realize that we have to tell him, right?" He said.

Eunkwang looked up at the sky and gave a bitter smile.

"See you tomorrow, Sungjae!" [Y/N] said when they both reached her house.

"Aww, can you at least give me a little kiss before I leave?" Sungjae asked.

"Aigooo," [Y/N] cooed. "But, ok, sure."

"Thank you for walking me home, Sungjae." She smiled and she went to the door of her house to open it.

"See you tomorrow." He said and waved at her before he turned to leave.

He walked for a few minutes when he saw Eunkwang and Minhyuk approach him.

"We need to talk." Minhyuk said, he snapped his fingers and they were surrounded by the galaxy once more.

"How are the two of you getting on?" Eunkwang asked.

Sungjae smiled.

"We're doing great! I'm planning on confessing to her soon and then we'll finally be lovers."

Minhyuk glanced at Eunkwang worriedly.

Eunkwang sighed.

"Sungjae, we have to tell you something."

Sungjae stared at them for a moment.

"What is it?"

"Our spell can't last forever." Eunkwang said. "Once you confess to her, the spell will break and you'll be back to being a cat."

Sungjae felt his breath hitch.

"Once the spell break, they won't remember you even exist. You'll be wiped out from their memory." Minhyuk added. "So don't tell her the truth."

"Don't tell her that you love her," Eunkwang said barely above a whisper but you could hear it in his voice that he didn't want any of this to happen and that he didn't even want to say what he was saying. "Unless you want to become a cat again."

Sungjae stood there in shock.

"Sungjae?" She called out as she looked around, a little sad and a little confused.

Little by little, her memories of him began to fade away. When it was gone completely, she began to question what she was doing there.

When she realized she had somewhere to be, she ran off.

Sungjae watched him, he was now a cat again.

"I've always been in love with you."

"Well, what's your plan now?" Eunkwang walked over to him and picked him up.

Sungjae just looked up at him with big round eyes.

"Eh, I can't bear this." Eunkwang said and he casted a spell for him to speak when he was around him and Minhyuk.

"It's okay, you can still show your love by being her favorite cat." Minhyuk said and patted Sungjae's head.

"Waahhh!!! Kitty!!! You're here!!" [Y/N] squealed when she saw Sungjae on her way back home.

Sungjae just meowed and licked her on the lips.

[Y/N] was shocked for a while before she giggled.

“It has to be stopped.”

Yuuki’s voice sounded resolutely and Kaname put all documents aside looking at his wife with interest. She spoke like that rarely; she’s used to play a role of Tender Princess of the Night society, though she’d been a queen for a century already. This is why Kaname let all thoughts about work go and listened to Yuuki carefully. If she spoke resolutely then it was important.

“What is it?”

“Christmas!” She noticed Kaname’s puzzled look and continued. “Every year our family celebrates Christmas separately. Mother and father travel somewhere together, as we do too, Ai is always with her friends. On the one hand this is nice to spend a romantic holiday evening with you, but on the other, humans celebrate Christmas as a family day. At least once in a century we should spend it altogether.”

Kaname smiled softly and rose from his table. Honestly, he thought about it himself, but every year he took a decision not to be a burden for the relatives. He came to Yuuki, hugged her kissing in her warm lips and said, “Everything will be done. This Christmas all your beloved ones will be near you.”

“But Kaname…” Suddenly she felt awkward. “If they don’t want-“

“They won’t dare to disobey their King’s order.” Kaname winked at her. “You can start all preparations.”

When the Kurans confirmed they would visit the main family mansion this Christmas Yuuki turned back again into sixteen years old young lady who has no other problem but to choose gifts for everyone. She felt how youth flowed in her veins and the feeling was so good that she almost burst into tears of joy.

Kaname bought a tree for every room in the Kuran mansion. And though Yuuki tried to scold him for being so wasteful, she changed her mind from anger to mercy as soon as Kaname closed the door in their bedroom behind their backs.

On Christmas she finished all preparations in a main hall with a big dinner table served with some expensive white snow table-cloth. Furniture and crockery had harmonious colours, and Yuuki felt proud that it all was her choice. She learnt how to be stylish and make her house look presentable, which was no wonder: she’d been living with Kaname for a century already and he always looked blameless even in a domestic outfit.

Yuuki checked if everything was fine with the main Christmas tree when she noticed Kaname watching her. He stood upstairs and looked at her, smiling. Yuuki’s fragile and graceful figure was hidden under an elegant dress of calm peach colour and it reminded him of the days when she was still an inexperienced little princess.

Kaname breathed out. “You’re so adorable.”

Yuuki smiled. She was happy with her life. A century had passed since those terrible days when she was about to lose Kaname. But she behaved mature enough to make him change his mind and forget about his crazy plans. And now nothing can destroy their love. They have wonderful daughter, they brought their parents back to life, and though Yuuki was uncertain about this decision, but as soon as Haruka and Juuri saw baby Ai they were inspired to give this life one more chance.

One of their maids appeared in the room and reported about a phone call. Kaname frowned and reminded her, disappointed, “I told you, no officials are allowed to talk to me today.”

“It’s her Highness calling, Ai-sama.”

Yuuki looked at her husband in anxiety. Ai decided not to come? Kaname let her know he would fix it, and Yuuki calmed down. When he disappeared, a doorbell rang and Yuuki cried to her maids, “I open the door myself!”

When she pulled golden handles letting a snowstorm and refreshing frosty air in, she saw her parents covered in shimmering snowflakes. “This is us! Merry Christmas!”

“Mum, Dad!” Yuuki rushed to hug the elder Kurans. “Merry Christmas! I’m so happy to see you today.”

“Come on, let us in, it’s very cold outside” mumbled Haruka pushing his beloved women into the room. When the door was closed Yuuki noticed some strange things.

“Dad, what did you put on?”

Haruka came into the Kuran manor in a classical Santa Claus outfit. Being a bit embarrassed, he started to shake the snowflakes down of his red coat. “I lost some argument with your mother and as a result I had to put on this. As you see, Juuri has a really weird fantasy.”

“I don’t!” Juuri returned. She hugged her husband tightly and squeezed him. “Daughter, he looks so hot in this outfit, doesn’t he? Such a cutie!”

“Mum, you cut your hair!” Yuuki finally noticed a main change in her mother’s appearance. Juuri’s hair had always been long, but now they were of shoulder length. She laughed in a truly coquettish style.

“Indeed! I decided it was wrong to live a new life with an old haircut. How do I look?”

“You’re wonderful!” Yuuki felt blessed to see her mother so cheerful.

“Of course, Haruka was going to kill me,” she said jokingly and added in a gloomy, but teasing voice, “You know, these Kuran men are over-possessive and over-manipulative-“

“I hear everything,” finally the voice of Head of the Kuran family flew in. Kaname smiled seeing the elder generation of the Kurans, or younger one, judging from his point of view. “Mother, you look fantastic.”

“Thank you dear!” Juuri laughed wholeheartedly. “I feel like I’m 500 years old again!”

Kaname hugged Haruka but then gave him a critical gaze. “What’s this on you, Haruka?”

“The holiday outfit. And why ‘Haruka’?” He sounded offended. “You call Juuri your mother, so what’s about me?”

“You’re doing amazing without it,” replied Kaname and came to his wife to kiss her cheek. “Don’t worry, Ai is coming. She called to warn that she took someone with her, but refused to tell whom.”

“Wow, Ai got a boyfriend!” Juuri exclaimed. “Or maybe a girlfriend!”

She liked to use modern words very much and did her best to be an up-to-date and fully understanding grandmother. But Yuuki shrugged, she was interested herself.

“She didn’t say a word about that.”

But they didn’t have to wait too long for them. As soon as the dinner was ready, the doorbell rang again and the maids informed about the princess having come with Takuma Ichijou.

“Mummy! Daddy!” Ai cried. Her cheeks looked red with frost and her eyes shined with joy. The princess flew into the room and kissed her parents.

“What, Tak-kun!?” Juuri almost jumped up on her chair but Haruka calmed her down with his embrace. “Tak-kun is Kaname’s good friend, so I think he decided to make a surprise for Kaname on this day, and Ai just helped him out.”

Juuri didn’t reply but a shade of doubt appeared for a moment on her face.

“I’m glad,” Kaname said when he greeted Takuma. “I thought you would spend this day with your family.”

“What are you talking about?” Ichijou got surprised and flapped Kaname’s shoulder. “You’re my family.”

Meanwhile Ai continued to coo at her grandparents covering them with her compliments. “Grandpa, what a nice dress! Granny you’re so sexy!”

Ai was happy to be back again in the house where she’d been born. There was a scent of tangerines and cinnamon in the room and she recollected the days when she was a little girl who used to run in corridors of the mansion with Seiren and Aidou. Now Seiren was freed by Kaname for her good service and loyalty and at the moment she was travelling around the world, while Aidou celebrated Christmas with his big family. But even so, she was glad to see her beloved ones gathered in one room.

“I asked the maids to go home,” said Yuuki entering the dining room after the rest of the family. “They should spend this evening with their families too. Now I’m responsible for everything and feel so anxious! Haven’t I forgotten anything?”

“Mum, all is fine!” Ai reassured Yuuki and took her hand to help her sit down.

“Yes, there’s a lot of food here,” Haruka added. “And if this is not enough Juuri shares her blood with all of us today.”

“No way!” cried Juuri but Haruka stopped her with a slight kiss.

“Ginger cookies!” Yuuki remembered about the sweets and was about to rush into the kitchen but Kaname immediately got up and said he would bring them in himself. The queen relaxed and added, “I did them with my own hands, you shall like them!”

A cracking silence hung in the air for a moment; everybody stared at Yuuki in terror. “What?” she asked.

“Oh Mum, I was missing your cookies so much!” Ai decided to relax the atmosphere. “Can’t wait to try them.”

When Kaname brought a plate with cookies made by his wife Haruka told him carefully with a sweetest smile, “Kaname, please keep the plate closer to you. You see there’s no free space on the table at all.” The king shrugged his shoulders but did what he was asked.

“So kids!” Juuri clapped her hands. “It’s your turn to give us your gifts.”

Ai and Takuma exchanged their looks. Then the princess coughed and said, “We didn’t buy something specific, it looks more like we have one huge gift for everyone here.”

“Yes yes,” Takuma repeated in impatience. He grasped Ai’s hand and shot, “We’re pregnant!”

“WHAT!?” The Kurans yelled altogether gazing at the couple of vampires threatened by their reaction. Ai rolled her eyes up and flicked Takuma’s forehead.

“Idiot! We were supposed to tell them about our intention to marry. We agreed to talk about a baby later.”

“Did we?” Ichijou got amazed. “You told me we had to inform them about the most important thing.”

“Yes and the wedding come first!”

“But the baby is already there!”

“Wait a minute!” Yuuki stopped the quarrel with her scream. “I have a headache because of you all. Ai why didn’t tell us before? That you’re dating.”

“I was afraid you would take it wrong,” Ai replied shyly. “And I decided I’d better do that when we had a good cause. Moreover, father isn’t going to kill Takuma on the day like this. Right, Dad?”

Everybody turned to Kaname. He broke a silver fork and both pieces fell on a plate with a sombre sound. The king threw a murderous glance at Ichijou. He gulped and whispered, “Oh Lord in Heaven…”

“Neither Lord nor any other god will help you now.”

Kaname said it angrily and moved to get up and beat the shit out of Takuma when Yuuki cried, “Stop violence! Kaname, we won’t change anything now. Ai, you should’ve told us before. Ichijou, I had a better opinion about you.”

“Yuuki, Kaname, indeed you have to calm down,” Haruka said as peaceful as possible. “Just look at them, they’re head over heels in love with each other!”

“Haruka’s right,” Juuri agreed. “And they assured us they were going to marry. Besides… We have something to tell you too.”

“Now?” Haruka whispered.

“Why not? It’s a good moment. We want to tell you that I’m… Hey, I liked it how Takuma did that. WE’RE pregnant!”

“You’re kidding!” Ai exclaimed.

“No!”

“Oh God, congratulations!”

Kaname didn’t understand how to behave now and he looked at Yuuki helplessly. A dark wish to kill Ichijou and scold Ai took over him, and at the same moment he was glad to hear such wonderful news from the elder Kurans. And this tumult made him feel uneasy, all what he wanted was take Yuuki and run away from this asylum that was about to turn into a kindergarten. It seems celebrating Christmas altogether indeed was a bad idea.

Yuuki noticed his gaze and suddenly burst in laughter. Now all the interested looks belonged to her. The queen got embarrassed but started to speak. “This is so strange to get to know that I’m going to have a sibling and a grandchild on the same day. But even this is not over yet.”

She was searching for support in Kaname’s eyes but he couldn’t suspect what she was going to say and currently was thinking about bringing a hunter’s weapon into the room. Yuuki didn’t disconnect eye contact with her husband and declared, “We’re pregnant too.”

The third shot was too much and the family was driven mad. They started to acclaim while Ai came to both parents with her congratulating kisses. When Kaname finally got what actually happened he got up and rushed towards Yuuki.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

“I’ve learnt about it only yesterday and wanted to present it as a gift today during the dinner. But as you see, I wasn’t original.”

In response Kaname kissed her and embraced tightly. She didn’t need any words to understand that her very existence was the greatest gift for him.

“You know this is the weirdest Christmas in my excessively long life,” spoke Haruka as he was opening a bottle of wine. “I need to have a drink.”

“Me too!” Takuma picked up and moved his glass towards Haruka. “Great…grandpa?”

“Don’t you dare to call me like that,” Haruka replied in a sullen voice.

Takuma shrugged his shoulders and peered at happy Kaname and Yuuki, still in hugs. Having noticed his gaze, Kaname darkened and roared, “I haven’t finished with you yet.”

“Sure thing. Grandpa.”

“Keep silence.”

Ichijou sighed and turned to Ai. “I’m going to be an outcast in this family.”

They spent the rest of the evening in a truly family and warm atmosphere. Kaname had to eat all ginger cookies made by Yuuki but he did that with pleasure saying, “Don’t understand why you all are complaining, these cookies are made by Goddess and their taste is divine”. Despite the age, Haruka and Juuri were the noisiest. Ai and Takuma had to answer annoying questions about their future plans.

At some moment Kaname came to Ai and put his hands on her shoulders. She shivered from sudden feeling of warmth and raised her head to see her father.

“Ai, are you happy?”

She smiled and turned to hug Kaname. “I’ve never been as happy as I am today.”

“Actually I’m talking about that idiot” Kaname glanced at Takuma.

“Dad,” Ai gave him a stern Kuran look. “You know him. He seems to be careless and…foolish sometimes, but in fact he is reliable. He can take care of me.”

Kaname breathed out and kissed Ai’s forehead. Somewhere deep in his soul he was confident about that.

“You’ve grown up too fast, my princess.”

In the morning, when the sun was raising and the family parted to their beds, only the king and the queen didn’t sleep. They watched how sparkling snowflakes fell behind the window, Yuuki lying on her husband’s lap and Kaname fingering her hair. His other hand stroked her stomach, flat yet.

“You want a boy this time, I think?” she asked observing Kaname’s serene smile. He shook his head.

“It doesn’t matter. This baby is our child which means it is a fruit of our love.”

Yuuki closed her eyes listening to Kaname’s voice. Soft and deep, it was her favourite. With his hands on her body she was ready to start purring with happiness.

“The fruit of our love. It sounds splendid.”

For the first time in her life immortality and eternity didn’t look scary anymore.

Colette wa Shinu Koto ni Shita Review

This seems a bit different for a typical manga from the start. I said this because the title as you can see when you read it in english it says “When Colette decides to die”. Before I scan and read this manga I prepared myself for more tragic moments(I guessing there will more heartbreak or a sudden death). Then I was like a bit sad since it might be one shot manga. However, let just say that all of those assumptions that I’ve said were all wrong at the beginning.  This manga revolves around a girl name Colette a countryside doctor who due to a sudden burst of work decided to jump off a well.Yes your read it I’m not joking its definitely that she decided to run from those patients that she jump off a well. Then the most exciting part was when she wakes up she found herself at the underworld. Happy that she’ll get a day off like all the doctors dreamed of, since the underworld doesn’t have any sick people at all. Her minute time vacation ended when all of the hell’s servant captured her and bring her to their master who is seems to be having some kind of sickness.  And this master whom we talk about was the Lord of the Underworld Hades. Thus, Colette’s story started as a country side doctor from a personal doctor from the realm of the dead. 

Colette’s Involvement

1. Hades - one of the 3 great Gods and was the King of the Realm of the Dead. He told colette from the moment they met that when colette was still alive to make him proud when they met again when she die. Well it didn’t go as he said since colette becomes his private doctor. He seems to develop a romantic feeling for her but unfortunately due to the fact that he was a God he cannot openly tell her that thing though as the manga progress it seems we could describe his action speaks louder than his words.

2. Zeus - Hades little brother whom also got acquainted to Colette when trying to find out if his brother was able to see through what he did when the 3 of them choose which realm they take to govern. He got a wife(Hera) whom a bit strict when it comes to his husband being a cheater.

3. Apollo - The doctor from heaven. He used to take a little time for a vacation and that was the time when all the goddesses seek colette for medication. Zeus then fetch colette from mandane realm to bring her to heaven as Apollo temporary Substitute. 4. Nike - Follower of Goddess Athena. One who consulted Colette to make her hair grow faster since she cut it off due to a sudden incident during work. She become close to colette during her stays in heaven

5. Demeter - Goddess of Harvest who hosted a party in heaven during the feast of Harvest. She was close to Hades and sometimes talk to him.

6. Hiragi(Nymph) - Resides in Apollo’s temple. She was the servant of Apollo who becomes a close friend of Colette.

7. Poseidon - Hades sibling whom got a servant that he fired for his wife’s sake. Later that servant become Hades’s Servant.

8. Karon/Hari and the other 4 skull servant - Hades’ servants in the Realm of the dead and was also close to colette except to the other 4 skull servants.

Usually this manga focuses more on the adventure of Colette as a doctor however as the story goes deeper you’ll see some progress about both Colette and Hades. In some website the latest released chapter was 22 however if you got an Otakumole account you’ll be able to read this beautiful Manga up to its recent Chapter which is 59. I’ll definitely recommend this manga to all of you. Every chapters of this manga is full of heartfelt and heartwarming that it left a memory on your mind. 

In addition, it makes you think what is like to be loved by a great Deity like Hades!
