Avian — Magpie
- Powers have a white tinted aura
- Aura manipulation
- Telekinesis
- Flight
- They’re also really good at hand to hand combat (Dick is so proud), but prefer not to use weapons.
Corvus — BlueJay
- powers have blue tinted aura
- empath: can feel others emotions
- concentrated energy/aura blasts (he gets overwhelmed by others emotions which builds up as energy in his body that he can dispel physically)
-is okay at physical combat: prefers weaponry and mainly uses a surujin.
Corax — Blüdbird
- powers have red tinted aura
- empath: can control others emotions
-can physically manifest emotions into power (can be used to infuse/enhance BlueJay’s weapons)
- doesn’t like physical combat. prefers to be hands off. (think Jane from twilight “pain”)
Misc Twin Powers
-telepathy, but only with each other. (Controlled, they don’t just have open access to each others minds but they like to communicate privately)
-can combine their powers to strengthen each other (powers become purple tinted aura)
-the twins can’t fly so Avian calls them penguins. The twins call Avian “magpoo”.

Hey- I know you’re busy but but for a writing prompt could you please do “please don’t cry” + a kiss on the forehead? Thank you so much!
Hello, dear. Thank you for your understanding and sorry for the long wait! I hope this is worth it.
Prompt: “Please don’t cry” + kiss on the forehead.
Plot: the Reader’s day couldn’t get any worse. Could it?
Warnings: none
You weren't having a good day. It happened, it wasn't a big deal. You didn't even know why, but since you woke up in the morning you felt like a heavy feeling was trapping you, enveloping you and pushing you further under the covers. The Master had woken you up by blasting music in the TARDIS. You could hear it from the console room down to the corridor and to your room. It was a classical piece you recognized as one of his favourites as he sometimes hummed it when he was deep in thought and it was giving you a headache.
You huffed and covered your head with your pillow. You just didn't feel like moving at all. But the Master seemed to have no intention of lowering the volume; on the contrary, you felt it so clearly it was like it was playing right next to your bed.
Finally, you decided to get up and get ready for the day. Usually, the prospect of having a whole day full of crazy adventures with the Master made you jump out of bed. Today, everything seemed to have lost colour.
-Gooood morning, sunshine! - the Master welcomed you opening his arms and smiling widely. At least he seemed to be having a good day.
-Morning- you muttered rubbing your head and bringing the warm cup of coffee closer to you.
-You look tired my dear, haven't you slept enough? -
-I'm good- you said, your voice still hoarse with sleep.
-If you say so. We're gonna have some fun today! -
You hummed and listened to his rumbling about a certain Ronax or Corax or something and how he deserved a slow, excruciating death.
You brought the cup to your lips and cursed under your breath as the hot liquid burned your tongue.
The Master didn't pay attention to that as he kept talking like a professor taking an important class.
You didn't care much about plans, you usually ended up not following them anyway. You were too busy focusing on your empty stomach. The Master could go on days without eating, god knows how, so the kitchen in the TARDIS was usually empty. It didn't bother you, usually, but today you just felt like it was one more trick the universe had pulled on you to make your day awful.
When the Master was done with his monologue (which didn't help your headache whatsoever), you just followed him outside. You got instantly hit by the blinding light of two suns.
-Oh yeah, forgot to tell you to bring sunglasses-
You groaned and covered your eyes as best as you could, trying your best not to trip on the rock-covered floor.
-Is there a place to have breakfast in here? -
The Master began walking toward the tallest building visible. -Nope. The Thals don't need food. They usually ingest their own gastric juices-
-That's absolutely disgusting- you commented trying to shake the image off your head.
The Master suddenly stopped walking and you bumped into him.
-What...-
-Ssh- he took your hand and quickly led you behind a well-hidden wall and a few seconds later a guard dressed in shining silver clothes walked right next to you. The Master stared at him passing by, keeping his hand in yours.
When he was sure you were safe, he turned to you.
-Alright, here's how we're gonna do it. You are going to get inside the building and get to the safe room. To get in you'll show them this- the Master handed you his psychic paper. -Then, you're going to sound the alarm next to the door and wait for me there. Everyone is gonna run out and that's when I'm coming in-
You tried to listen carefully, although you felt tired like never before. You always wanted to be helpful to the Master but right now all you wanted was to eat and get back to bad.
-Y/N- the Master snapped his fingers in front of you. -Are you listening? - he asked with a slightly annoyed frown. -Am I asking too much? -
You hated when he talked to you like that as if you were an idiot.
-Yes, I am- you bitterly replied. -Get in, sound the alarm and wait for you-
-Good- he nodded.
-Now go, we don't have much time-
You walked out of your hiding place and inside the tall building. He looked a lot like a medieval tower but inside it was like a high tech space ship.
As soon as you stepped in, you felt everyone's eyes on you. It was probably an impression as a lot of people were walking in and out, you probably looked like one of them, just facing a workday. You decided to ignore your gut feeling telling you, no shouting at you to abort mission. You weren't going to disappoint the Master and make him talk to you like to a five years old. You could do this.
Someone hit your shoulder hard making you stumble. You looked back at them and they glanced at you meanly.
You decided to shut up and keep walking and reached the back of the huge room. You tried to look as casual as possible as you approached the guards, who were looking at you coldly, back straight and spears in hand.
-Hello, I need to enter the safe room-
One of the guards extended his hand.
-Pass-
You took the psychic paper and showed it to them, trying your best to make your hand stop shaking.
The guards took way too long to examine it but eventually gave it back to you and stepped aside.
-Thank you- you nodded and walked past them. A few meters away, you saw the door to the safe room.
"That was easy" you thought as you could already feel the smell of a nice, warm breakfast and the feeling of the soft pillow under your head.
Except there were two buttons.
You looked back and forth between the red one and the green one. The Master hadn't told you about two buttons, did he?
You looked back at the guards. One of them was staring at you. You cursed under your breath trying to keep your composure. The Master was waiting for you to sound the alarm. He trusted you with this.
"Alright think" you urged yourself. "Two buttons. Red and green. If you were an alarm button, which colour would you be? "
The guards were now talking quietly between them. Talking about you?
You felt so tired. Why did you even get out of bed at all?
"Okay, okay" you tried to calm down. "It's gotta be the red one right? I mean, it's an alarm. Alarm equals danger, danger equals red". It was hard to keep the track of your own thoughts but you were fairly sure you had never seen a green alarm button. You took a deep breath.
"It's now or never"
And you pressed the red one.
For a second or two you didn't hear anything. Then the two guards turned around and pointed their spears to you.
Oh, shit.
-Freeze! - they shouted and, of course, you started running.
You had no idea where the corridor led but you could feel the guards only a few steps behind you so you were ready to take a chance.
You ran as fast as you could, feeling your feet hurting and your legs giving up a couple of times. You could see the end of the corridor ahead of you. You had no choice but to stop and try to catch your breath. Turning around, you saw the guards turning the corner and running toward you. You backed up, your back hitting the wall. That was it. The plan had gone wrong and it was all your fault. The Master didn't know where you were, you were alone, the guards would catch you and probably kill you on the spot, or worse.
You could feel tears burning the corner of your eyes when suddenly you lost your balance and fell backwards.
Your back hit the floor of the TARDIS and you saw the Master looking down at you with an annoyed expression.
You quickly got up. -How did you...-
-You were taking too much time- he simply explained walking toward the console.
You turned toward the fake wall. It was now closed and the TARDIS started shaking, sign that you were taking off.
You glanced at the Master, his expression left you no doubt: he was mad.
-Master...- you tried to apologize but he raised his hand to stop you.
He ruffled his hair in a nervous gesture and then placed his hands on his hips, looking at the floor.
-I asked you to do one simple thing- he said raising his index. -Just the one-
You gulped, wanting to disappear. You hated to disappoint him, but to be fair, it hadn't been completely your fault.
-And you couldn't even press a damn button! - he shouted.
You took a step back, watching him as he scratched his beard.
-This was important, Y/N. I mean what...what happened to you? - his expression had softened but you would have rathered to face his rage than his disappointment. You felt your eyes sting once again.
-I don't...- you looked away. -I don't know. You told me to press the buttons but there were two of them and I didn't...-
And suddenly, you were crying. Tears started streaming down your face without you being able to control them. You did your best to wipe them away but as soon as you dried your cheeks, new salty, hot tears wetted them again.
The Master's eyes widened.
-Oh no- he whispered. He never knew how to act when you showed your emotions. You hardly ever cried, you didn't like to show your vulnerable side to anyone, especially him, who always looked so strong and confident. But now you just couldn't control yourself.
You covered your face with your hands. It had been a tough day, since the beginning you had felt like everything had gone wrong.
And now this.
You felt the Master getting closer to you.
-Y/N...- he said softly, tentatively taking your hands off your face.
-Please don't cry-
You looked at him from heavy eyelids. -I'm sorry-
The Master looked at you with a kindness in his eyes he hardly displayed.
-Don't ever apologize for being vulnerable in front of me- he said cupping your cheeks.
-And don't worry about today...I should have been more careful-
You sniffled as he stroked away a solitary tear.
-We'll try again another time. Alright? -
You nodded and he kissed your forehead.
-Now can I get a smile? -
The corner of your mouth twitched up.
-There we go- he smiled.
-What do you say if we go and grab something to eat in that little coffee shop on Moon 34 you like so much? -
Your smile widened and you nodded.
The Master managed to surprise you every time.

[Homeless] "I've uh--I d-don't--I-I mean've never---b-been ice s-skating---before."
Let It Snow || AcceptingJust the idea of having a brother is mind-blowing. Andy is handling the whole situation a lot better than Beth is, because he was older, he remembers more than she possibly can, considering that she was maybe five, maybe six the last time all three of them spent any time together. Twenty-two years is a long time. And that he’s the youngest of them, born a few months after her says a lot, not just about them but about the man they sometimes call father.
Looking up from where she’s crouched in front of him, lacing up huge black ice-skates, she sees just how vulnerable he looks. She’d feel the same if someone was strapping knife-bladed shoes on her feet too. But she smiles, soft and warm and sweet. As welcoming and accepting of him as the day the Corax brought him into their lives. She likes being a big sister, even if she’s barely half his size. She knows that he has suffered, that he’s been cut off from all the normal things that he should have grown up with. She can see the faint few resemblances between him and Andy, even if neither man can. She lets go of the laces and reaches up to take both of his hands into her own. Rubs small circles back and forth across the leather gloved backs and laces his fingers with her bottom hand.“Don’ worry. I’m gonna hold ya hand an’ teach ya how. Jus’ like Andy taught me when we firs’ came to N’Yawk. Is gonna be wibbly wobbly a’ first, an’ supah slick…but jus’ remember, I got ya. Gonna hold ya close an’ I promise, even if we end up flat on na okole, dat you an’ me…. we’re gonna be fine, yeah?”And maybe she’s not just talking about the ice-skating. Maybe she is. All she knows is she hates how scared he looks, how dark the blue of his eyes have become. She looks down and lets him go long enough to finish tying his laces with care.“Jus’ gonna start slow, yeah? Get ya feet up under ya.”

Wip Wednesday; Tlalli Corax
Back at it again with brief character introductions~
*
Feng tosses back the papers as Riki returns, phantom eyes popping up on their cheeks while they rub at the default two. “They’re not here?”
Riki; “Oh, she is. Rooftop lounge.”
Feng; “What’s so bad about that?”
Riki; “Nothing. Just, heights.”
Feng; “Ohhh… Don’t worry, I’m not letting you fall.”
Riki; “Appreciated.”
They brave the stairs, stopping every few floors to catch breath and quiz themselves as to who they’re there to see, before emerging on the roof. People of every race dot the roof, but the clear majority is the winged avariels. They pass a “return” cart on the way in, piled with books and scrolls and some miscellaneous wrappers that belong in the trash. Feng stops to sweep it off and dispose of the refuse properly while Riki takes in the group, looking for a thus unrevealed outlier. While Feng dusts his hands off from disposing of the wrappers, the door suddenly opens up next to him and a dark haired, dark feathered avariel attempts to hold it open with their foot while trying to step through.
Feng; “Oh, let me!” He grabs a hold of the door and tries to step out of the way.
The avariel mutters thanks in distracted Yuzcal before trying to step through with the foot that attempted to prop open the door, only for a mark to light up on their ankle and cause her to stumble and trip through the door, fall barely cushioned by books while a couple scattered. “Solange damn it--”
Swearing under his breath, Feng kneels and starts helping her gather the books up. “Sorry, I really was trying to move out of the way--”
The avariel shakes their head. “Don’t. It’s Jewelsday, I should’ve watched my feet.”
Feng blinked. “I beg your pardon?”
The Avariel rolls their eyes. “I don’t have time to explain, apologies. Now if you’ll excuse--”
Riki steps back towards the door, almost looking pouty. “I don’t see her. Gods, the one time I want Tlalli to stand out.”
The Avariel’s feathers fluff up. “You’re looking for Tlalli? Tlalli Corax?”
Feng; “Yeah, you know her?”
Riki blinked, taking in the spilled books, the avariel’s glossy black feathers, and their voice. “... You couldn’t just be where they said.”
Breaking into a grin, the books were left forgotten as Tlalli darted up to grab Riki in a hug, wings twitching and almost lifting them both off the ground. “And here I was thinking you missed my letter! It’s been way, way too long Mi--Riki!”
Riki startled at almost losing their footing, but awkwardly returned the hug. “Nice to see you too, Tlalli. I see you’ve already met Feng, huh?”
Tlalli looked back to Feng, who gave a small half wave and almost dropped the books he was helping collect. “Ah yes, the monk right?”
Feng; “Would’ve also accepted the best friend, but both work.”
Tlalli set a relieved Riki down. “I was starting to wonder if you were going to reply or something. You couldn’t send a letter saying I should be expecting you?”
Riki; “I mean, I figured we’d surprise you! I even tried a shortcut through Labrys--”
Tlalli; “Labrys? Wait, how long have you two been in Labrys?”
Riki; “Not that--”
Feng; “Like a week. We just got out earlier today.”
Looking between them both looking disgruntled, Tlalli removes a small glass orb from their component pouch and slammed it on the ground amidst the books and scrolls, which immediately shattered and formed a misty webbing that yanked the disarrayed items into a somewhat organized pile that she could scoop up with little trouble.
Feng; “Oh, let me--”
Tlalli; “No no no, both of you pick a table and take a seat. You both need really strong tea, everyone who spends more than a few days in Labrys acts so loopy for a while after leaving.” They set their pile of stuff down at the table gesturing for the other two to sit before going off to the bar not terribly far from the entrance.
Feng; “‘Loopy?’” He looks at Riki questioningly.
The aasimar shrugs. “Not that bad. I remember having an awful headache whenever I traveled away as a child, but you know. Sunlight deprivation and exhausted little kid.”
Feng stares.
Riki shifts, tugging one of the scrolls closer. “We’ll be fine. If a tiny child can make it out without too much trouble I think the two of us can manage.”
Feng; “You’re still pretty small though. If Tlalli’s that worried…”
Riki taps the paper. “Did you know there was a dancing plague? News to me.”
Feng; “I’m not falling for this.”
“Deflecting, are they?” Tlalli returns, two cups of steaming drink in their hands before she passes them off, one to Feng and one to Riki, refusing to let them set it down. “Old habits.”
Riki rolls their eyes, cutting a look at Feng while he abruptly sets his own cup down before taking a hesitant sip. “In all fairness, we aren’t here for health promotion.”
Feng; “I’ll take what we can get if you’re going to be stubborn.”
Tlalli starts to nod before pausing and hesitating. “Priorities.” They rifle through their pile of books and scrolls before coming up with their notes. “How much have you gotten to look into this contagion in your travels?”
