new clexa NY au idea based on life & also so i don’t hate my fucking neighbor.

i live in an old ass building with thin walls. my roommate & i can be really loud, we acknowledge that.

the first time our neighbor knocked on our door there was a west coast mets game & it was 11pm when we got a knock on the door. ok fair.

second time me & my roommate & his gf were watching john wick 2 at like midnight & the dialogue is a fucking whisper so it was turned up & then (spoiler) his house fucking explodes & the sound system my roommate has is intense so when we immediately heard a knock after, again, fair.

the third time, my roommate got out of work early so he was getting ready to meet with his gf earlier & we celebrated him not working a double (he works 60 hours a week between two demanding jobs, just finished 21 days streak without a day off) & so we were dancing around to Janelle Monae at 3:30pm ON A FRIDAY & THEN THERE WAS A KNOCK ON THE DOOR. she was in her PJs & asked us to turn it down. like bish WHATS YOUR SCHEDULE WHEN ARE WE ALLOWED TO HAVE FUN????

apparently two nights ago A&E (roommate & gf) were watching TV & at like 11pm my neighbor came knocking & my roommate just shouted through the door to go away lol. his gf was like “i know we can be loud but we were seriously just watching TV.” so my roommate just loudly said “no more TV. guess we can go have loud sex???!!”

so basically our neighbor needs to evaluate where she’s living bc we also live next to a major route with overnight trucks constantly laying on their horns & it’s just NY. we’ve been on eggshells ever since this all started. my roommate even rerouted the audio so we can watch movies after 11pm without the sound system & with just the tv speakers.

but i was just thinking about au’s to not be pissed at this girl & a past clexa week prompt for enemies to (friends to) lovers came to mind & while i am not at all attracted to my neighbor i love the idea of clexa neighbors.

so NY Neighbors AU!

lexa’s one year into getting her phd in political science. frat boy!clarke works in a restaurant to afford making art in her free time (though she hasn’t been making enough in her opinion). she lives with raven, smoking & drinking a ton of beer based on the recycling lexa always hears them lug out. she also hears clarke & raven singing & dancing to janelle monae & lizzo.

plus to tie it into my other NY au i never got around to, clarke gets drunk after work one night & ends up in a shared cab with lexa. lexa mom arms her when the cab comes to an abrupt stop. but bc they don’t get along, clarke refuses to admit how fucking endearing it was.

one night during midterms lexa hears music & ppl over clarke’s apartment. she knocks on their door for like the fourth time but it’s raven’s bday so raven drunkenly shoves a beer in lexa’s hand & invites her into the party even though lexa’s in sweats & clarke just happens to look really fucking gorgeous. she drinks the beer to be polite & is introduced to their gang. she knows lincoln from her gym. (he’s in grad school to become a physical therapist so he works there part-time.) monty & jasper made pot brownies, so clarke is maybe a little high & maybe smiles more at lexa than she ever would sober. raven shoves another beer in lexa’s hand & tells her to stay “let loose, girl. you’re either going to join the party or be mad about hearing the party.” so a little later octavia finds lexa admiring a painting on the wall & tells lexa that clarke’s the artist.

later when lexa goes to say bye to clarke, she walks in on clarke in only her underwear making out with niylah. she awkwardly apologizes & leaves.

the next day lexa slips an apology note under clarke’s door. an hour later clarke shows up with a coffee & milk & sugar on the side & a cup of tea in case she doesn’t like coffee. lexa takes the tea bc she’s particular about her coffee & she swore if she said she only takes coffee with almond milk, clarke was going to go get some.

clarke ends up having lexa write down her schedule. “raven & i can be loud & we don’t work normal hours & we both work a lot so when we see each other we want to hang out. sometimes it ends up being noisier than expected. but we can try to keep it down when you have a lot to do.” & lexa kinda smiles & says, “so no more of raven doing impressions of tom waits at four am?” & clarke cringes “sorry. she’d gone out with octavia & her brother & brought them back. if it’s any consolation she woke me up too.”

clarke brings lexa tea the night before she has to hand in a draft for a thesis (it was on the schedule!). they talk for a bit & when clarke goes to throw out lexa’s tea cup she sees empty coffee cups & demands an explanation. clarke eventually finds out which coffee shop & brand of almond milk lexa prefers.

clarke meets lexa’s roommate/cousin, anya. anya’s hardly around bc she travels for her job a lot. also just got out of a messy relationship so she’s purposely traveling a lot. anya thinks clarke’s a bratty hipster kid for a hot second, but she also sees how her cousin looks at clarke.

lexa hears clarke & niylah laughing as they climb the steps of the apartment after a night out. she’s grateful for the music bc she didn’t want to hear them hook up.

clarke knocks on lexa’s door & asks if she wants to go to the beach on the 4th of july. “you really don’t have anyone else who wants to go?” & clarke just shrugs, “a lot of my friends are working, but i wanted to ask you.”

DarkOQ go to New York (aka real World) for their honeymoon and then stops by Storybrooke to check on Regina.

Regina kidnaps Robin to prevent him from marrying Marian.

Regina finds out her fiancé (can be any ouat character) has been cheating on her with her sister on her wedding day! She runs away to a different city or county & meets Robin.

Regina meets her soul mate online.  But is reluctant to meet Robin in person for fear of ruining what they already have.  Will Robin be able to change her mind? And what happens when her friends try to force her hand?

Robin, Regina and the Evil Queen... perhaps maybe Robin meets one, then meets the other... doesn't quite realise straightaway... ooh they could be twins!

Regina as a headmistress and Robin being a billionaire whose son Roland, goes to the school where Regina is the boss.

Robin actually dies in 5x02 and after seeing Robin getting taken to the underworld Regina chooses to follow. It's the author's choice whether she goes alone or with the storybrooke clan.

Regina owns a Dessous boutique and Robin comes in quite often to buy stuff for his imaginary girlfriend in Regina's sizes and her taste because he just wants to talk to her and work up the courage to ask her on a date but Regina thinks him weird bc why would he flirt with her and buy all this shit for his girlfriend. Later she finds all the unopened bags with stuff in his apartment.

Wonder Woman scene at the healing lake thingy. Regina sees a (naked) man for the first time.

"you can't just run around and threaten to kill everyone." "Oh but you never told me that so how would I know?"

Dark Robin contacts Regina when he doesn't know how to deal with the EQ after a particular fight.

Ink Heart AU Whenever Regina reads a story out loud, characters come to life. She vows never to read out loud again.  One day she comes home to find Robin Hood in her son's room. Henry confesses that he shares her strange gift.

"The poor guy at table 4 has almost ordered the whole menu just so he can look at you and you didn't even give him a smile. How about when you slip him your number instead of ask what dessert he wants."

Troy AU (Robin as Achilles and Regina as Briseis, evtl. Hook as Paris and Emma as Helena) when her temple is plundered Robin saves priestess Regina from the hands of the Spartan men.

Roland spills something over himself in Regina's vault and now any time he lies he turns further into a donkey (like in Pinocchio).

(early OQ) Regina comes home and finds the television is dead because it has tons of arrows sticking out. "What on earth did the poor TV do to you?!"

OQ go skinny dipping in the water and when they come out someone stole their clothes.

After missing year just after curse broke. Regina asks Robin to pick up some tampons for her from the store. It turns into quite an adventure because Robin doesn't know what they are.

AU A: "sorry you're sitting on my sun lounger. B: oh and since when is it yours?" A: I clearly reserved it before breakfast with my towel - which by the way you're sitting on! so get your butt off my sun lounger or else."

Robin spills a drink on Regina.

Your OTP is covering up a murder.

Robin doesn’t die instead is resurrected somehow and in NYC as a dark Robin. Things from the finale happen. Regina kills the EQ but she doesn’t die because her soul is tethered to Robin or something like  that. EQ and evil Robin find each other. Regina has to find a way to kill EQ or reunite with her and save Robin from the darkness.

Robin dies or so they believe, but in actuality a villain has given Robin a memory curse and he remembers nothing of his life with Regina. Regina helps him remember.

Regina and Robin go look for Daniel’s grave and they happen to find  both his and Marian’s stone. Both tipped over and Regina and Robin  share an emotional moment.

Groundhog Day AU with OQ.

A fic based on the movie Sabrina.

Regina drunkenly confesses to Robin about the lion tattoo and pixie dust. Robin misunderstands and thinks she doesn't want him around her

Regina picks up the newest book by her favorite writer. Another best  seller that she can’t get enough of. What she doesn’t realize is that  the heroine from those books is inspired by her and the books were  written by her sweet, handsome but oh so shy (at least in RL) neighbor  Robin.

Regina and Marian are single moms, neighbors and best friends. When Marian dies she leaves Roland in Regina’s care. A  few months later Robin moves in next door. While unpacking his things  he discovers a picture of a very pregnant Marian and remembers their  night together before leaving for England. There is a date on the back  of the photo and he does the math. He is a father and his son is closer  than he thinks.

Through a glitch in the system (or was it?) two strangers find  themselves married to each other. (somewhat inspired by the movie  Accidental Husband).

Regina’s house/apartment is on fire. Lt. Robin Locksley and his  men save her and Henry. She goes over to the firehouse to thank them  properly and ends up inviting Robin for dinner.

Regina and Robin are  single parents (Henry and Roland are the same age and go to class  together) and have clashed a couple of times during parent/school  meetings. She thinks he is immature and irresponsible. He thinks she is  overprotective and overbearing. A school camping trip comes up and  both go as chaperons (not their idea). Henry and Robin bond and so do  Roland and Regina and they both start seeing each other in a new light.

Regina as a soldier. She comes home from her second tour in Iraq. She  is not the same woman she used to be after all the things she has seen  and  all the things she has done. She wants to get her life back on track.  Along the way, she meets Robin who is battling his own demons and  understands her better than she thinks.

Henry and Roland are friends (they are about 10 years old). Roland  really likes Henry’s mom Regina and Henry thinks Roland’s dad Robin is  pretty cool. They decide to play cupid.

Henry makes sure that  several things in his house break and Robin (a handyman) has to come and  fix them. Hopefully, his mom’s broken heart as well.

Regina,  single mom, mayor and workaholic is in desperate need of a new housekeeper/nanny after Henry has scared off yet another one. Robin,  widower and single dad who’s life has not been easy after losing Marian  is in desperate need of a new job and home for him and his son Roland.

After a blackout, heavily pregnant Regina ends up stuck in an elevator  (or another place, whichever you prefer) with a stranger. Unfortunately,  her water breaks and Robin has to help her deliver her baby.

Regina is Mary Margaret’s childhood friend and maid of honor. Robin is  David’s best friend from college and best man. The first meeting  between the couple’s best friends doesn’t go as planned and ends in a  disaster with a very upset MM and a disappointed David. Regina and Robin  are forced to put their differences aside to ensure a happy wedding day  for their friends.(If there is a part with them having to take dance  lessons and things heat up during that I won't be sad.)

Regina and Robin as thieves: It is the 3rd time he had outsmarted her and stolen from right under  her nose. Only this time he is a bit careless with his disguise (at  least that’s what she thinks) and she manages to see the lion tattoo on  his right arm which helps her track him down. Her plan is to steal  everything back from him. His plan is to steal one last thing from her:  her heart.

Robin, a single dad, saves Henry from being run over by a car, but gets hit himself in the process.  Regina is so grateful she helps him and Roland while Robin heals.

Robin is a disgruntled former employee of Cora Mills who, in a moment of desperation, kidnaps Coras daughter, Regina.

Robin, somewhat of a ladies man, gets the shock of his life when a  social worker hands him a baby boy, telling him that his mother had died  and that she wanted the baby’s father to take care of him. Robin doesn’t know what to do and asks his neighbor Regina for help.Regina  is reluctant at first. She doesn’t like him. Thanks to him Henry has witnessed his conquests walks of shame on a regular basis which always led to awkward questions.

Robin can’t explain the feelings he has for Regina. One night he  overhears a very drunk Regina and Tinkerbell (Tink already knows that  it’s Robin and drops a few hints without giving him away) talking about  the man with the lion tattoo and it all starts making sense.

Robin cuts in line at the supermarket. Regina is not having it.

Robin is so used to sleeping in the forest he won't fall asleep in houses etc because of the missing forest noises (birds, frogs...)

Author Henry by accidentally mixes up some of his comics with the stories he's supposed to be writing down. ... therefore somehow Regina and Robin trade places with some comic book characters.

Regina used to be a teen Popstar, now a few decades have passed. Life has happened etc and she's asked to be back on stage for a show to celebrate the decade she's been famous in. They want her to share the stage though with a few men who used to the British boyband "The Merry Men"

After Robyn searches for her brother, the two share a talk about their past, their father and Regina.... She listens from afar, tears running down her face, as she recalls so many moments in which she felt she'd be truly happy like she always planned with him... Funnily enough, he listens too.. And makes sure she knows he does. And that his children do too.

Robin meets Regina in Seattle and they fall for each other again not recognizing who the other is. When the curse breaks (and we all bawl our eyes out with them cause they found each other after three billion years) robin reveals he has a huge thing for Regina in curls... After he does, she embraces her natural wave almost permanently.

WW2 AU by grayautumnsky - Robin is a Nazi soldier during the occupation of France. If this were a manip (doesn't have to be), the pics of Sean from Timeless would be perfect. As for Regina, when I think of her in this fic I always picture the character Sira from The Time In Between (which is set during WW2).

Brixton “6″

I loved scrolling back and seeing all her birthday parties.. for some reason I didn't blog a year.. I have a feeling it was when her little brother showed up.. so I am trying to be better at posting on time.. It was also great to look back and see what we did for her parties.. there is this little twinge for Brixton when I plan her parties.. she is such a kind hearted middle child ( one whom let her siblings open up most of her presents too ) that i love to go over board.. she's so grateful for so little that I want to throw everything at her.. 

ironic I know.. 

this year we did a class party as well.. you have to invite every kid in the class and we did it a little bit late.. but between our village and kiddos in her class.. 19 kids showed up.. she drew names for where the location would be.. and with chuck  cheese being 15 bucks a kid now.. I was grateful when she drew” park” and then said she really wanted it there anyway..

we walked up and someone names Knoll had a party the day before I am guessing.. his name was right there in front of the table.. the cabanas are first come first serve and when we got there a family doing a farewell party was there.. and by the end it was comical.. both parties were confused and we were all just blending into one mush.. their grilled food smelled delicious and I almost asked for a hot dog.. 

any who.. Brixton of course had to add her name to the cement.. 

and as far as weather goes.. she finally got a good year.. looking back.. 5 out of 6 times it rained on May 21st.. or whatever day we threw her party.. this was sun glorious sun.. 

I of course bought way too much food.. because I love food and love to feed people.. I am pretty sure I am supposed to be a 70 year old italian woman.. slapping hands with a wooden spoon yelling at people to get out of my kitchen until dinner is served.. then I sit and watch them eat.. its incredibly descriptive but food is my everything language.. 

I made those blue papers!! I couldn't believe it.. she wanted a scavenger hunt.. and I make those sheets with circles and character names on it.. and the kids had to run around and find the sticker and line it up to the word and they got a candy as well beside each box of stickers BECAUSE ITS 2017 AND KIDS GET REWARDED FOR EVERYTHING… and then once they were all collected.. they came to me  WHERE I REWARDED THEM AGAIN WITH A THANK YOU FOR COMING RAINBOW REUSABLE CUP.. because I am out of control.. 

I loved every freaking minute of it.. 

oh yah.. did I mention it was a scavenger hunt for mostly kindergarteners who can't read that well ;) 

we ate.. we scavenged.. we ate ice cream cupcake cones with sprinkles and extra icing.. the water guns were a hit.. the adults played with the bubbles.. and the neighbors grilling on a coleman road trip grilll that folds flat and has carrying wheels made me run home to amazon and buy one for all our summer outdoor adventures..

I torture my kids and make them open the majority of their gifts on their actual birthday.. not caring when their party is.. and I swayed this year and she opened up that giraffe ball thing.. LOVE IT.. then she stuck them in her hair and started to wish her head around like the lovely carefree spirit she is.. and 

oh my god

there are no words.. I spent 45 minutes on a busy prep morning trying to rip these things out.. something designed to cling to things.. she ended up losing a good 7 inch clump out the back.. she doesn't have my hair though so you can't see it unless you really look.. 

this is what having 19 kids at your party looks like.. :O  

games and toys for days.. she was so grateful.. 

that night I came home and ran to the dollar store for balloons.. and bought the steamers for her door.. because to her this is the bread and butter of the bday.. waking up too these things.. so at midnight I cut and tied and tried to be stealth ( on 4 glasses of sangria ) and went to bed.. 

she woke up thrilled.. why I do it.. and they came down to play with their christmas gifts.. I mean birthday gifts.. although I think she got more on her bday then she does at christmas.. 

I made the crappiest pancakes imaginable.. apparently my flour expired a few months ago.. which explains oh so much about my cooking lately! I thought I was going nuts.. nothing was turning out.. they were like hockey puck crepes.. 

B had been saving for roller skates but she was about 35 dollars off ;) so we bought them for her.. we packed up the car and told her to pick number 1 or 2 and she picked 2.. so we head to Edmonds.. ( never been to the water front ) and skate the water front.. looked at sea life signs.. ate ice cream.. and played in the sand.. 

this just shows the eyes of a child vs the eyes of my.. the over thinker / planner.. we thought we were going to do a park.. and food on the board walk and yada yada.. and we are cruising along thinking of where else to go.. and Olive looks up first and says “ this is the best day ever mom!” 

I digress..

I had this maui flavored colored sherbet and they all ate glorious ice cream .. and for the first time this lactose intolerant mother wasn't dying for a few hours.. I need to start listening to my body the older I get.. 

look guys! I was there! I am only in 5 photos of this entire weekend.. and 4 of them are standing by this killer whale.. 

we hit up an edmonds patio for a marg and a quick snack before dinner.. filled up too much.. timed horribly and drove straight to Brixton pick of Red Robin and sat on their patio and had a little cup of soup.. even the birthday girl chose water over a milk shake because we were all that full from our little snack.. 

oops.. 

Auntie Jen drove up and joined us and gave her a present..  we head home and had cake.. 

I asked B to set up the plates and cake for her singing.. and without even realizing it.. I came down stairs from changing out of my sandy clothes.. and saw everything in a circle for 5 on the living room floor.. and realized that apparently we always have our “ day of “ cake on the living room floor.. I didn't even plan it.. and now its my favorite thing we do.. 

Brixton George.. you are 6 years old.. i have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of your life.. you are a true ray of sunshine and I am so happy you chose this crazy family to grow up with.. 

as I say every year.. I cannot wait until I get to take you to Europe when you are 18 years old.. 12 years and counting baby!!!
