#we need more entrepeneurs

This is your friendly reminder that the Proverbs 31 woman was actually amazing.
This woman ran a household and a business. Not her husband's business, her own. And apparently did extremely well at both those things. We know she was an excellent manager, because she saw to her servants' needs as well as her family's. We also know she was an excellent and successful entrepeneur who actively worked alongside her servants to make her business grow. We even know what kind of businesses she ran: She was a weaver and a vintner.
We know she's a weaver because the scriptures specifically describe her working with wool and flax, which is the raw material for linen, and turning it into fabric that she sells at a healthy profit and uses to clothe her entire household. From the NRSV-CE:
"[13] She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands."
"[19] She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle."
"[21] She is not afraid for her household when it snows, for all her household are clothed in crimson. [22] She makes herself coverings; her clothing is fine linen and purple."
"[24] She makes linen garments and sells them; she supplies the merchant with sashes."
That last bit in verse 22 about purple is significant, because it's almost certainly talking about royal purple, which was the single most expensive dye in the ancient world. This is, unequivocally, a statement of wealth. Enormous wealth. She's not so much running a business as a business empire.
Again, this is specifically her business, not her husband's, as evidenced in the same verse that talks about her being a vintner. From the NRSV-CE again:
"[16] She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard."
Or, to spell it out explicitly, we'll quote the NIV (which I normally dislike for reasons):
"[16] She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard."
We also know that she's a good manager who works alongside her servants, rather than sitting back and requiring them to do the work for her. More to the point, she's the hardest worker in the business and at home, as evidenced in the verses above, and in verses 15, 17, and 25 (Again in the NRSV-CE):
"[15] She rises while it is still night and provides food for her household and tasks for her servant-girls."
"[17] She girds herself with strength, and makes her arms strong."
"[25] Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come."
Important sidenote: If the repeated emphasis on her strength is anything to go by, this lady was swole.
The Proverbs 31 woman is a subject that's been talked to death by Christians. Most of the time they downplay her feats and accomplishments, which is honestly a shame. It's my strong opinion that she deserves to be remembered as a legend. Also the modern Church could benefit from celebrating women's excellence in general. Christ is glorified when we honour His whole body, not just the parts we're comfortable with.

Someone liked my post about how Amren should have to drink fae blood and since ive been on a pretty big vampire kick since about october of last year Im just thinking about what if acotar was about vampires. first of all, i think sjm writing vampires would make me very angry, i hear that the way she writes fae makes fae-fans really angry and I can definitely see why even though i dont know THAT much about fae, I just dont have a whole lot of personal investment in the accuracy and interestingness of fae lore, but I am highly invested in vampire lore it would make me pretty mad but I think itd be more fun for me to complain about, so what Im saying is sjm should totally write a book series about vampires
But anyway, lets get back to my initial thought of 'What if ACOTAR but vampires'. honestly, theres not much to get back to because Im basically just rotating some vague aesthetic bullshit in around in my mind. Oh, also I just had a thought, what if Feyre had to experience episode one of the hit-netflix miniseries Dracula (2020). I think she'd kill that old man if im honest. OH wait no, speaking of dracula series
Okay so, imagine this: at some unspecified point in the future, Feyre gets sick and tired of Prythian and leaves, I was gonna say Rhysand died before that but i dont wanna imply that she only left because he died and also I remembered that stupid death bargain existed. So she leaves and she actually goes back to the mortal realm, but she goes to the continent instead of returning to her home village, she wants a completely fresh start and shes like, pretending to be a human too, shes hiding her ears and glamouring herself and whatnot. With her shes brought some faerie lights as well as all of the stuff she needs to make a whole lot more of them, because shes gonna sell faerie lights as this groundbreaking alternative to more traditional light sources. So she rolls up to the scene, this hot mysterious foreign entrepeneur, shes enlisted that mercenary from all the way in the beginning of ACOTAR to help her in her endevour, and shes got all these suits who have a vested interest in maintaining a monopoly on light sources so theyre doing everything they can to prevent her from getting faerie lights of the ground, but Feyre simply keeps evading them. At some point she aquires a boytoy with whom she does not have any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with its exclusively professional and for the sake of her faerie light business, Feyre ends up seducing her boytoys fiancee and just absolutely destroys her marriage. Thats when those light source suits come back in, they have still been trying to bring Feyre down while shes been busy seducing but now theyre back at the foreground, and they approach the boygoy being like "hey, we heard that mysterious weirdo stole ya girl. Well, shes in danger of stealing our profits as well so how about you sabotage her and destroy her business and life" maybe they would mention something about her being a dangerous fae as well but idk, theyre like capitalists so Im not expecting them to care that much about the danger. But whatever, boytoy says "sure I'll do that" and he goes over to this big warehouse/factory type building where they make/store all the faerie lights. Feyre is about to give this big show where she properly shows the public how the faerie lights work and how you can replace normal lamps with them, this has been planned for months now and theyre storing all these lights in one place. So boytoy goes to where they store all the lights and he fucks with them a little, and then Feyre goes up on like a stage in front of am audience holding a faerie light and shes giving this presentation on how they work and whatnot, but as she goes on she notices that theres something very wrong and she realizes that all the faerie lights are about to EXPLODE OH NO so she tells everyone to run away, get out of town as quickly as possible, but its too late; she just barely manages to save her girlfriend/boytoys fiancee but everyone else dies in this massive explosion that just completely destroy a good chunk of the town. And then Feyre and her new gf have sex in the rubble, i think? Idk, and then after that they decide to travel a bit and live a quiet life and maybe try the whole entrepeneur thing somewhere far away from the town that feyre just exploded
and thats my pitch for an acotar au based on the hit tv show Dracula (2012)

Glass Onion is a fun movie. It promises a fun, colorful, campy homage/parody of the murder mystery genre, and it delivers exactly that. Clearing that bar (delivering what is promised) is both a bare minimum and something that projects on the areas of my interest have failed to clear for the past few years.
So, yeah, I watched Glass Onion and I enjoyed it very much. After about a day of letting the experience sink in, I think I can understand both the passionate praise and the passionate loathing. For the most part.
Glass Onion is a sequel to Knives Out, and as first sequels go, it's pretty good. It's not the exact same story of the last one, but with different characters, even if there are similarities (i.e. the working class main heroine), and just that makes it better than at least half of every sequel I have ever watched. But it's also not as good as Knives Out. It's definitely NOT better. It's not terrible, it's not a huge drop in quality, but it isn't as good.
While Knives Out has a good pacing, where the rhythm of the story starts slow and mounts higher and higher towards the ending, Glass Onion has a very slow beginning, only really starting to pick up about the 45 minute mark (in a movie that is 2 hours and 20 minutes long, I really think they could have shaved 20 minutes off the beginning of the film and it would have made for a tighter experience). We get a few minutes of big tension and then it slows down again to fill us in on the backstory (here I feel Rian Johnson's infatuation with plot twists is a drawback; considering the twin sister plot is very cliched -which is fine in a story that hinges around the most obvious explanations being right- I feel the story would have benefited from the audience knowing from the get go that Helen was posing as Cassandra. It would have been more traditional, but it would have added much to the initial tension, proverbial bomb under the table and all). The climax and ending of the movie IS long, but I think that is fine because it is focusing on the catharsis we are experiencing vicariously through Helen (this is one of the reasons why I will forever defend Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds. Sometimes a movie can be just about catharsis, and if it delivers that, then it hasn't failed. I digress).
Characters. While both the characters of Knives Out and Glass Onion are rich entitled assholes, there's a variety and richness to the ones in the former that is absent in the latter. Harlan's family in KO shares their heavy dependence on his money, but in different ways. Harlan's daughter possesses more depth of feeling and strength of character than his son. The son is resentful because he's a little man. The daughter in law and the son in law are both leeches, but their ways of facing life and their relationship to the family are very different. The Gen Z grandchildren are radically opposite in their political views, but both engage in completely performative forms of activism. Ransom's attitude serves a completely different form of dishonesty and laziness than the rest.
In Glass Onion... the assholes are just stock characters. Very much like the game Clue that the movie pokes fun at, they are the scientist, the senator, the passĂŠ diva, the overworked secretary, the trashy entrepeneur and his trophy wife. They are all opportunistic, worthless assholes, but there's little to differentiate them and justify their inclusion other than filling the screen and adding star power. What does make the difference, character wise, between Peg and Whiskey? What does Lionel really want out of the money and power he seeks? What has Claire of distinctive other than wearing beige?
Speaking of which, costumes. They are fun, eye catching and suited to the characters... for the most part. We get that Claire is beige, we don't need to have her LITERALLY wear only beige all the time. You can throw some white and navy blue or black in the mix and you'll still get the message across without making it cartoonish. Benoit Blanc! Look, his costumes are a lot of fun, but I have a hard time believing the man who dressed in the most plain and boring colors possible in Knives Out just dresses like that in summer. I'm certainly not demanding he wears only neutrals, but Glass Onion!Blanc gives the vibes of someone that would dress in winter as the male version of Linda.
Glass Onion is not a perfect movie. But it remembers that light is an essential part of film (the sequence under the lighthouse lighting is beautiful) and in that way it looks classy. It remembers that plot holes and inconsistencies need to be papered over instead of highlighted: the plot of the movie hinges on Cassandra being both a good reader of human nature (knowing which people will connect well with other people) and a terrible reader of human nature (the email is one of the most stupid moves conceivable), a clever, foreseeing entrepreneur (she was the one to have the brilliant concept of Alpha that made Bron a billionaire) and a person who cannot look ahead to the future (she doesn't ensure she has a paper trail that supports her intellectual property in the company, even living in a post social-network world). The movie is aware of this, so it heavily moves the focus onto Helen and her revenge quest. It remembers that audiences would rather be pandered to than abused and belittled (YMMV as to how much the "burn the rich" message can ring as genuine in a 40 million dollar movie or as just panem et circenses). It remembers that satire needs to make the caricature of the satirized recognizable and realistic enough, and that a movie in a genre is indebted to the genre and cannot act like it has invented it (I'm staring at you, Don't Worry Darling, on both accounts). It understands that attention to detail can elevate mediocre material and that people do notice, even if they cannot articulate it (this goes from the infamous Starbucks coffee cup on the set of GoT to the absurd carelessness and sameness of late MCU productions).
And that is, sadly, nowadays, a somewhat tall order to fulfill. So I understand why people are going crazy over this movie. I also understand why that irritates the hell out of others.
In the end, Glass Onion is a fun movie. And that was enough for me.

People are always saying the wealthy provide a valuable service by "creating jobs" and when we have a "job shortage" we need them to "give us a purpose" so we can "earn a living". And, like, that's super fucked up, right?
I mean, picture a family that's moderately wealthy so they can live comfortably off of their investments. They get to spend all of their time pursuing their interests. Do you think they're clamoring for someone to give them jobs? Are they jealous of the people busting their asses at the stores they shop at or the factories that produce the things they buy? I don't think that's likely.
So, when people say there's a "job shortage", what are they really saying? Looking at it from an economic perspective, if there's a "job shortage" but not a resource shortage, then that means the labor is divided unfairly. Some people are doing so much work that some other people don't need to do any work.
And it's a "problem" because some of the people with no work to do are poor people. We can't possibly give them a share of the resources we have plenty of because the work is already being done by other people. They might get "lazy". They might even spend all of their time pursuing their interests. Can't have poor people doing that. That would be immoral.
So we "solve" this "problem" by "creating jobs" for people to do. We make products no oe wants and convince people they do want them. We create more layers of management so the people at the top don't have to think about their workers or the public and feel bad about how they treat them. We "eliminate waste" in programs designed to help people that are struggling by creating more forms for them to fill out. We collect mountains of data so we can target advertising better. We do a whole bunch of useless work because at some point we decided that if we are too good at producing the things we need then we should sabotage ourselves and be less efficient. It's the only fair thing to do.
If someone is running a household and doesn't think John is doing as many chores as the rest, so they spill wine on the carpet and make him clean it up, that's not a "job creator", or a heroic entrepeneur or "giving his life purpose". That's a troublemaker, a villainous dictator, a bossy busybody. That's how we should llok at these people.
And they try to convince us that a job is something that is valuable to have. That we should be grateful that somebody gave us a job. If you pursue your passion make sure you hold onto your job, you wouldn't want to lose it or have to get a new one. But a job isn't something to have or to get or to give or to lose. A job is something we do. And a good job is something that needs to be done or something we want to do. We don't need to "have" more "jobs". We need to "have" no jobs and do far fewer jobs than we do. And there's no such thing as a job shortage.

Yesterday was father's day. I was going through some storage boxes in my garage making sure that I wasn't hiding any classified documents when I came across an ancient Brooklyn Dodgers baseball cap and a business card from Adam and Eve Wigs.
The Dodgers split for the coast a long time ago as did the Giants. In the National league, the lone surviving team is the Mets. The cap of the Mets is a reminder of the past as it contains the orange colored NY symbol of the Giants on top of the blue color of the Dodgers.
Times change. Players come and go.
My late father in law Tom was the owner of Adam and Eve wigs. We always got along well. He was an independent thinker and a natural entrepeneure. He sold his business when his health started to decline but it sustained him throughout his life.
Tom had an impressive list of clients who came to him for their wigs and toupees. Tom was a craftsman and very discrete. He earned the trust of his clients with his skill and understanding. I wish he could have held on longer because the brand new wig revolution is under way within the world of fashion. Wigs have become a powerful tool for self expression, re-invention and just plain fun no longer solely associated with theatrical performance or hair loss.
I have good hair but I want a wig. I need a wig. Let's face it everybody, we all could use a wig or two. Why not take an opportunity to explore new identities without committing to permanent change. We don't have to be Elton John or Al Pacino or Lday Gaga or Beyonce or Dolly Parton to express our creativity.
Our hair plays an important role in shaping our self-image and confidence. Many of us are distracted by thinning hair, receding hairlines and baldness. A current remedy for men in this situation is to shave the dome clean. Coolio. We're all increasingly comfortable with chrome domers like Bruce Willis and/or the Rock. Why not every once in a while throw on a wig and skip a few shaves and/or daily stylings. Save time on casual errands. Slip into a wig and take care of business. Also, wearing wigs as a personal choice shows support for those on medical related hair journeys.
All of which leads us back to baseball caps. Everybody wears them today regardless of sexual identification. It's getting pretty old. Although the choice of logos on the cap are always expanding, the style itself is limited in terms of design. Wigs, on the other head, can effortlessly complement various outfits, from casual to formal attire, enhancing the overall visual impact. If you want, you can wear a wig under a baseball cap and cop the vibe of Jake DeGrom or Thor Syndegaar when they were youngerand looked invincible/ By choosing wigs over baseball caps, we can elevate our style and leave a lasting impression while eliminating the shade of affiliation which tends to turn us into walking bill boards. Unlike baseball caps, which are limited to displaying logos or sports teams, wigs enable wearers to express their creativity, individuality, and personal taste. Whether it's donning a vibrant, colorful wig or opting for a natural-looking one, wigs allow usto make a bold statement and showcase our uninhibited selves in a way that baseball caps cannot.
While baseball caps may provide a sense of comfort or familiarity, wigs have the power to boost confidence on an entirely different level. By wearing wigs, we can regain their self-assurance, as wigs provide a flawless head of hair that looks and feels natural. This confidence boost can have a significant impact on our overall well-being, allowing individuals to embrace our appearance with more humor and less insecurity. While baseball caps may seem like a more affordable choice upfront, wigs can prove to be more cost-effective in the long run. Baseball caps may require frequent replacements due to wear and tear, while wigs, with proper care, can last for an extended period. Additionally, wigs eliminate the need for constant hair salon visits or hair product expenses, resulting in long-term savings. Investing in a wig can be a smart financial decision, offering durability, style versatility, and reduced maintenance costs over time.
While baseball caps have their merits in terms of functionality and sporty appeal, wigs surpass them in versatility, style, self-expression, confidence-boosting qualities, and long-term cost-effectiveness. Wigs offer a world of endless possibilities for wearers, allowing us to transform our appearance, express our individuality, and exude confidence in ways that baseball caps simply cannot. So, why settle for the limitations of a baseball cap when we can embrace the power of wigs and unlock a realm of style and self-expression?
Yeah, Tom was ahead of his time. In all the years that I knew him, I never saw him wear a baseball hat.
Title: Embrace the Wig Revolution: Why Everybody Should Wear Wigs
Introduction: In the world of fashion and personal style, wigs have become a powerful tool for self-expression and reinvention. Once associated solely with theatrical performances or medical hair loss, wigs have evolved into a mainstream accessory embraced by people from all walks of life. This essay will present compelling arguments as to why everybody should consider wearing wigs, highlighting their versatility, convenience, and transformative potential.
Unleashing Endless Possibilities: Wigs offer an exciting opportunity to experiment with various hairstyles, colors, and lengths without committing to permanent changes. Whether you desire a sleek bob, luscious curls, vibrant hues, or even wild fantasy looks, wigs make it all possible. By wearing wigs, individuals can explore new identities, boost their confidence, and freely express their creativity in a manner that was once limited to celebrities and performers.
Confidence Booster: Our hair plays a significant role in shaping our self-image and overall confidence. Unfortunately, many individuals struggle with hair-related issues such as thinning, receding hairlines, or baldness, which can impact their self-esteem. Wigs offer a practical solution by providing an instant, natural-looking head of hair, empowering individuals to embrace their true selves confidently. By wearing wigs, people can regain control over their appearance and feel more positive about their overall image.
Time and Effort Savings: Styling and maintaining natural hair can be time-consuming and labor-intensive. Wigs eliminate the need for daily styling, frequent salon visits, and expensive hair products. With a wig, one can simply slip it on and achieve a flawless hairstyle in minutes. This time-saving benefit is particularly appealing in our fast-paced society, where every moment counts. By donning a wig, individuals can allocate their precious time and energy to other aspects of life, boosting productivity and reducing stress.
Protection and Versatility: Constant exposure to heat styling, harsh weather conditions, and chemical treatments can take a toll on natural hair, causing damage and limiting styling options. Wigs act as a protective barrier, shielding one's hair from environmental factors and reducing the risk of damage. Moreover, wigs can be styled in countless ways, allowing wearers to switch effortlessly between different looks for different occasions. This versatility enables individuals to adapt their appearance to match their mood or suit any event, all while keeping their natural hair healthy.
Empathy and Solidarity: By embracing wigs as a fashion accessory, individuals can demonstrate empathy and solidarity with those who face hair loss due to medical conditions or treatments. Wearing wigs as a personal choice, regardless of one's natural hair condition, fosters an inclusive society that recognizes and appreciates the diverse experiences of others. It shows support for those on a hair journey and promotes a sense of understanding and acceptance within our communities.
Conclusion: In a world that values self-expression, personal style, and the freedom to explore one's identity, wigs have emerged as a powerful tool. Their ability to transform and empower individuals from all walks of life is undeniable. By embracing the wig revolution, we can unleash our creativity, boost our confidence, save time and effort, protect our natural hair, and promote empathy and solidarity. So why not seize this opportunity to unlock a world of endless possibilities and embark on a journey of self-discovery and reinvention? Embrace the wig revolution today and embrace the best version of yourself.

Confidence Boost: While baseball caps may provide a sense of comfort or familiarity, wigs have the power to boost confidence on an entirely different level. Wigs offer a solution to various hair-related concerns, such as hair loss, thinning hair, or a desire for a different hairstyle. By wearing wigs, individuals can regain their self-assurance, as wigs provide a flawless head of hair that looks and feels natural. This confidence boost can have a significant impact on one's overall well-being, allowing individuals to embrace their appearance without any inhibitions.
Long-Term Cost-Effectiveness: While baseball caps may seem like a more affordable choice upfront, wigs can prove to be more cost-effective in the long run. Baseball caps may require frequent replacements due to wear and tear, while wigs, with proper care, can last for an extended period. Additionally, wigs eliminate the need for constant hair salon visits or hair product expenses, resulting in long-term savings. Investing in a quality wig can be a smart financial decision, offering durability, style versatility, and reduced maintenance costs over time.

Al is open about his hair lossChatGPT
I apologize for any misinformation in my previous response. You are correct. Al Pacino has been open about his experiences with hair loss. Over the years, he has been candid about his receding hairline and has chosen not to hide it with wigs or hairpieces. Al Pacino's openness regarding his hair loss has been admired by many, as it reflects his authenticity and acceptance of natural changes.
Al Pacino's focus has always been on his acting skills and the characters he portrays rather than his appearance. His remarkable talent and captivating performances have garnered him immense respect and admiration from audiences and fellow actors alike. Whether he has chosen to embrace his natural hair or wear wigs for specific roles, his dedication to his craft and his ability to bring characters to life remain at the forefront of his career.
Other actors concerned with hair lossChatGPT
Hair loss is a common concern that affects people from all walks of life, including actors and celebrities. Many actors have openly discussed their experiences with hair loss and the steps they have taken to address it. Here are a few examples:
Jason Statham: Known for his action-packed roles, Jason Statham has embraced his bald look. He has spoken openly about his hair loss and how it has never hindered his career. Statham's confidence and masculine image have become his trademark.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson: The Rock has also been open about his hair loss journey. He has chosen to shave his head and embrace the bald look, which has become an integral part of his strong and charismatic image.
Bruce Willis: Bruce Willis is another actor who has successfully embraced a bald look. He has appeared in numerous films with a shaved head, establishing it as his signature style.
Jude Law: Jude Law has been open about his receding hairline and thinning hair. He has been spotted wearing wigs for film roles and public appearances, allowing him to maintain a fuller head of hair when necessary.
Kevin Spacey: In his role as Frank Underwood in the TV series "House of Cards," Kevin Spacey wore wigs to portray the character's full head of hair. This use of wigs demonstrates how actors utilize them to transform their appearance for specific roles.
These actors' experiences with hair loss highlight the diverse approaches individuals take to address the issue. Some choose to embrace a bald look, while others may opt for wigs or hairpieces for certain roles or public appearances. Ultimately, each actor's decision is personal and based on their comfort level, artistic needs, and individual preferences.
what's the difference between a wig and a toupeeChatGPT
The primary difference between a wig and a toupee lies in their intended use, size, and coverage area:
Wig: A wig is a hairpiece that covers the entire scalp. It is designed to mimic a full head of hair and is typically worn to completely change one's hairstyle, hair color, or length. Wigs are available in various sizes, styles, and materials, and they can be secured to the head using clips, adhesive tapes, or adjustable straps. Wigs are commonly worn by both men and women for fashion, convenience, medical reasons, or theatrical purposes.
Toupee: A toupee, also known as a hairpiece or partial wig, is specifically designed to cover a smaller area of hair loss or thinning, usually the top or front portion of the scalp. Toupees are typically smaller in size than wigs and are custom-made to match the wearer's existing hair color, texture, and style. They are often attached using adhesives or clips to blend seamlessly with the wearer's natural hair.
The key distinction between a wig and a toupee is the coverage area. Wigs cover the entire scalp and offer a complete hair transformation, while toupees are smaller and focus on specific areas of hair loss. Wigs provide more versatility in terms of styling options and coverage, whereas toupees are primarily used to address localized hair loss or thinning in a discreet manner.
what is oppositional Defiant DisorderChatGPT
Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) is a childhood behavioral disorder characterized by a pattern of persistent disobedience, defiance, and hostility towards authority figures, such as parents, teachers, or other individuals in positions of authority. ODD typically emerges during early childhood or adolescence and can significantly impair a child's social relationships, academic performance, and overall functioning.
Some common symptoms and behaviors associated with Oppositional Defiant Disorder include:
Persistent defiance: Frequent refusal to comply with requests, rules, or instructions from authority figures.
Argumentativeness: Engaging in frequent arguments or debates with adults or peers.
Anger and irritability: Displaying a consistently irritable or easily angered demeanor.
Blaming others: Frequently shifting responsibility onto others for their own mistakes or misbehavior.
Vindictiveness: Seeking revenge or being spiteful towards others when feeling wronged or slighted.
Testing limits: Deliberately pushing boundaries, breaking rules, or engaging in provocation.
Difficulty with authority: Having ongoing conflicts with authority figures, being resentful, or deliberately annoying them.
It is important to note that occasional defiant or oppositional behavior is a normal part of child development. However, for a diagnosis of Oppositional Defiant Disorder, these behaviors must be persistent, occur across different settings (such as home and school), and significantly impact the child's daily functioning.
The exact causes of ODD are not fully understood, but a combination of genetic, environmental, and neurological factors likely contribute to its development. Risk factors may include family dysfunction, inconsistent discipline, a history of abuse, or genetic predisposition.
Treatment for ODD often involves a combination of behavioral interventions, family therapy, and, in some cases, medication to address any co-occurring conditions. Early intervention is crucial in managing ODD symptoms and improving the child's social and emotional well-being. If you suspect that a child may be experiencing Oppositional Defiant Disorder, it is recommended to consult with a qualified mental health professional for a comprehensive evaluation and appropriate treatment.
What movies deal with ODDChatGPT
While there may not be many movies that specifically focus on Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) as the central theme, there are films that touch upon challenging behaviors, defiance, and troubled relationships that can resonate with the experiences associated with ODD. These films may provide insights into the struggles and dynamics of individuals with ODD or depict characters with similar behavioral patterns. Here are a few examples:
"The Breakfast Club" (1985): This classic teen movie explores the interactions and dynamics among five high school students serving detention. One of the characters, John Bender, displays oppositional and defiant behaviors, challenging authority figures and engaging in rebellious actions.
"Precious" (2009): This drama film follows the life of Claireece "Precious" Jones, an African-American teenager living in difficult circumstances. While the film does not explicitly address ODD, it portrays challenging behaviors, defiance, and a troubled relationship between Precious and her mother.
"Thirteen" (2003): This coming-of-age drama delves into the tumultuous life of a thirteen-year-old girl named Tracy. The film explores themes of rebellion, peer pressure, and challenging relationships, which can resonate with the experiences of individuals with ODD.
"L'Enfant" (The Child) (2005): This Belgian film depicts a young couple struggling with their relationship and the challenges of parenting. The film touches on themes of impulsive behavior, irresponsibility, and defiance in the character of the young father.
It's important to note that while these movies may portray characters or situations that align with ODD behaviors, they are fictional depictions and may not fully capture the complexity and range of experiences associated with the disorder. Additionally, these films may contain mature themes or content, so it is advisable to review the film's rating and content before viewing.
Understanding that movies are primarily a form of entertainment and not comprehensive educational resources, it is recommended to consult with mental health professionals, such as psychologists or therapists, for accurate information and guidance on Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
Adam and Eve wigsChatGPT
"Adam and Eve wigs" refers to a brand or line of wigs that takes inspiration from the biblical characters Adam and Eve. However, as an AI language model, my knowledge is based on general information up until September 2021, and I am not aware of any specific wig brand or line named "Adam and Eve wigs" that exists in the market.
Wigs are available in a wide range of styles, colors, and brands, each catering to different preferences and needs. It is possible that there may be wig brands or retailers that offer wigs specifically named after biblical characters or draw inspiration from them, but it would be advisable to research and explore various wig brands and retailers to find specific products of interest.
When searching for wigs, it is important to consider factors such as quality, material, style, and personal preferences. Reading customer reviews, consulting with wig specialists, or visiting local wig shops can provide helpful insights and guidance in finding the right wig for your needs.

Lets fucking break this down.
"But why don't we think about it from Simon's perspective?" Why? Why on earth should we take this case of 5 teenage (4 underage) boys being overworked and used for their talent, shot into global fame young, left with mental health and addiction problems, at the hand of this millionaire old man, and consider Simon's perspective? How can you look at a case of 5 boys being abused and think "but what about the abuser? what was HE thinking?"
"Hes an entrepeneur, taking every chance to make the most money" THERE! You admit Simon is a greedy capitalist pig who was looking for ways to make the most money, even if it meant using children with lots of talent to skyrocket his own wallet. How can you say later in the post that Simon "cared about the boys" when he only ever cared about money? He wouldn't let them take proper breaks, they barely SLEPT during the years the band was together, Niall needed a knee surgery he didn't get, Zayn developed an ED just to control SOMETHING about his life, Liam's addiction issues are 100% because of how he was handled in the band. Simon isn't an "entrepeneur" he's a greedy old man who built his pathetic career off using and hurting people. 1D was his best shining example of that module.
The amount of albums and tours those boys put out during those 5 years was NOT normal and no amount of worldwide fame makes it okay. Them becoming famous DOES NOT MAKE IT OKAY. Do you remember being 16, 17, 18? Most grown men can't handle the schedule those children had, and you don't see any of the boys mimicking their band schedule in their solo careers. Once they went solo, they took longer to write songs that actually MEANT something to them, to plan tours at their own pace with enough breaks to be rested and ready for their next project.
Many artists are worldwide famous, many even more famous than 1D. None of them had the schedule 1D had. Being overworked as teenagers was NOT excused by the fame they achieved. They could have reached that level of fame with a better schedule and better care. I firmly believe they would have been MORE famous and lasted longer as a band if they HADN'T been so pump-and-dumped by Syco. Also, in case you forgot, 1D LOST X-Factor. They didn't even win Simon's fuckass show. They became famous ANYWAY, because people LIKED them. Without Simon, Syco, or X-Factor, sure, things would be *different*, but they'd almost certainly be *better.* Those boys, now men, would be happier. Liam might be alive.
There's a laundry list of people to blame for Liam's death, the industry as a whole and the capitalist system among them. Liam was a 31 year old talented man with a whole life ahead of him. He had so much love to give the world. Just because he metaphorically pulled the trigger doesn't erase the people who metaphorically loaded that gun over the years and pushed him to bring it to his head. There are non-famous examples of cases like this, where someone is pushed to suicide by someone else. Just because they killed themself doesn't erase the person who caused it. And no, Simon didn't solely cause Liam's death, but him and his company, and how he handled 1D, played a MAJOR part in Liam's addiction and his untimely death. To ignore that is to be willfully ignorant, and to suck the industry's dick, to be straight with you.
"Simon loved those lads when they weren't in working relationships." No he didn't. I don't care if he cried at Liam's funeral. I don't care if HE thinks he loved them. What he did to One Direction is not how you show love. Overworking and using teenagers for everything they can give for more millions is NOT love. If the CEO of your company made you work the way those boys worked, nonstop, and you developed lasting problems for the rest of your life, only to die at 31, would you want people saying "but their CEO loved them"?
Terrible post OP, absolutely garbage take. YOU need to think logically. Stop trying to play devil's advocate for a rich man who saw and took the quickest chance to use 5 babies.
Itâs been a month so Iâd like to talk about something. Simon Cowell gets so much hate since the hiatus of one direction and so so much allegations as well, in which I totally can see where theyâre coming from.
But why do directioners never really thought about the entire thing from Simonâs perspective?
Heâs an entrepreneur, and an entrepreneur is taking every single chance to make the most money off of the opportunity. One direction was his chance. I may be lame and cheeky on this, but if I was Simon I would do the same thing as he did to the lads such as making them to create as much songs as possible, work overtime etc.
âSimon is a businessman, not a charity.â
If Simon didnât push the 5 young lads to their limits, yes they may be still together, or Liam may still be alive now. But would they ever be THIS big? No. Absolutely not, not even a chance, not even close.
Without Simon, one direction wouldnât even have THIS fan base in 5 years. Wouldnât have 5 studio albums out, wouldnât have 3 world tours sold out within minutes.
Indeed nicole was the actual mother who gave birth to 1D, but without Simon they wouldâve been NO WHERE ON THE TOP of the music history.
Iâm not saying that I agree with Simonâs actions, but Iâm saying that thereâs NO ONE. Absolutely no one left to blame for Liamâs death BUT Liam Payne himself.
Also without a doubt, Simon absolutely loved the 5 young lads when theyâre not in working relationships.
PLEASE. think LOGICALLY, not GENEROUSLY.

MANAGEMENT FROM HEART CHANGE AND OUT-OF-THE-BOX IMPLIES... History check: Change and Out-of-the-box normally implies incremental improvement, growth, development, adaptation and expansion beyond what has been and is being already done... It does not imply reincarnation or re-creation. Only when we do not do timely revisions we are forced into catastrophic, drastic changes. Often when I ask someone to change his eating style they start thinking about how to eat through the nose. I only meant that he should take smaller bites and chew more... We should not harbor change phobia and we should not be change maniacs either. Change has to strictly be need based only. It is important to keep super creativity and R & D out of the purview of normal life, business and management. It is an R & D job to develop cars which do not use fossil fuel. Subtle change to a more beautiful shape, comfortable seat fabric, improved suspension...are small, useful important improvements. Nature also changes the leaves, flowers and a few branches. It does not change the roots, trunks, bigger branches, internal systems of carriage of nutrients, flow of water etc. Instead of trying to change Organizations, let us build great Organizations. AB-MFH (#managementfromheart) A few decades ago we were dealing with change phobia but, today we have become change maniacs. Change has become a fashion statement, the other extreme. #management #leadership #leaders #entrepeneurs #entrepeneurship #managementfromheart #quotes #managementquotes #motivation #inspiration #coaching #team #mindset #leadershipdevelopment #leadershipskills #managementskills #managementdevelopment #peoplemanagement #leadershipqualities #managementstyle #success #teamwork #happiness #mindfulness #employeeengagement #culture #performance #communication #business https://www.instagram.com/p/CpLITjwoPuP/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Considering the lack of popular female orientated media (most just gets mocked to death), we need ML to pull through with the magical girl theme + shoujo tropes. Hate the people that are desperately trying to make it more like the MCU, JUST WATCH THE MCU THEN.
Don't get me started on the fake wokes who think ML focusing so much on romance is Unfeminist, as if the romance genre isn't ridiculed and belittled to hell and back by men (especially any romance that teen girls like), and that the answer is to make it more focused on Marinette being a #SelfMade #Entrepeneur building her fashion #Brand (as if she isnât literally 14) and being a professional no-nonsense leader of a superhero team, i.e. the kind of thing that would be taken more seriously by men

i got 2 yeses to talk about the icarly revival and thatâs good enough for me.Â
okay, so the icarly revival was nostalgia bait. obviously we all knew that going in. but it was weirdly endearing revival bait and at the same time was very obviously flawed.
this got really long so im not going to bother most people with scrolling
so, the show starts with an excellent premise: carly is rebooting icarly without sam and needs to find what her vision is. but the problem is... they donât utilize that like at all after introducing it? the web show pops up a couple times throughout the series when a backdrop is needed, for example, when freddie & griffin are touting griffinâs MLM scheme, but otherwise, the web show is pushed far in the background. sure, carly deals with a few modern consequences of being online, such as going viral as a meme, but the concept of the internet and more importantly, carlyâs webshow is severely underplayed.
so that takes us to carly. they do some things right with carly, playing on some of her original character traits quite well, such as the fact sheâs a notorious busybody. one thing i really liked as well was her relationship with harper and the way it was differentiated from her relationship with sam. in particular, the episode where harper makes carlyâs finale dress into a new red carpet look was excellent development there. but thereâs a lot of focus on carlyâs love life in the revival that, as i mentioned in the previous paragraph, seems to supercede the webshow. now, carlyâs love interests were always a Thing in the original 2007 icarly, but in the revival it really does feel like the question of season 1 turns into: is carly going to find a boyfriend vs. the original prompt of âcan carly revive her webshow?â
speaking of carlyâs love interests, letâs talk about freddie. i think the writers really struggled with freddieâs character. 2007 icarly freddie has a couple of core character traits: being in love with/obsessed with carly (which is resolved within the original series, so they canât bring that element back), being a techie (which they attempt to adapt into his desire to be an entrepeneur/have his own startup, but this focuses more on him as a businessman than as a techie which confuses me), and being bullied by sam. with no sam, the writers choose to have the narrative bully him instead. heâs down on his luck, constantly fails, is bullied by his own daughter, and things just generally cannot go right for him. and because this isnât a nickelodeon show and physical assault the way sam did it isnât as funny as it was on a 2007 kidâs program, freddie isnât getting physically abused anymore, but getting emotionally torn down again and again, which just isnât satisfying to watch! the highlight of freddieâs character turns out to be his relationship development with his adoptive daughter millicent, which is sweet, heartfelt, and just about the only way he gets to win this season. i also think that carly & freddieâs relationship is pretty underplayed in season 1- a lot of the scenes they get together are ship bait, and they get a few genuine heartfelt moments in s1 but as the only 2 members of the original trio in the revival, i think they justified more screentime together.
millicent, freddieâs adoptive daughter, was a surprising highlight of the season. i was skeptical about it in theory since freddie and carly are still so young in the series, but she gelled well and had a really fun dynamic with a lot of the cast, especially carly and freddie. she was a little on the nose for what they were trying to do with the ânew generationâ of internet users, but overall i enjoyed the character.Â
i also enjoyed what they did with spencer. of all the characters, he felt truest to his 2007 coutnerpart. maybe itâs because 2007 icarly spencer was an adult and the adaptation was just that he was an older adult. jerry trainer was spectacular, as always. i think the biggest falter with spencer was that he was underused and didnât have a designated pair. a lot of time the main characters in icarly have counterparts- in the 2007 icarly, though there were variations- there was often a spencer plot and a main trio plot, and spencer would have various characters he could riff off of, like gibby or others. in the revival, a lot of the time carly would have a solo journey or was with harper, freddie was with millicent, and spencer was kind of left floundering for a storyline.
and our last main character, harper. now, harper is interesting because i really enjoyed her relationship with carly and how differentiated she was from sam (trying to create a sam carbon copy wouldâve been a disaster). I also enjoyed that she didnât HAVE to be connected to the OG characters to be relevant- she got her own storylines even without carly or spencer or freddie. but i think where harper fails is that sheâs very exclusively connected to carly. the original show, as i said, has a huge TRIO vibe and the fact that freddie is almost nonexistantly connected to harper loses a lot of the essence of the original.Â
but like i said- itâs nostalgia bait. and the way this really hits in the wrong way is with its guest characters. They bring back characters for the purpose of bringing them back with no thought to their original characterization. if they were going to focus on carlyâs love life as much as they did, itâs shocking to me that they brought griffin back as an MLM joke rather than a real love interest- it had nothing to do with his original character and was a huge missed opportunity- they couldâve addressed carlyâs growth from breaking up with him for his beanie baby collection to having a more well-informed view of masculinity. but instead heâs an MLM schemer? and it felt like that with a lot of the guests. they were there just so fans could point and go âwow! thatâs freddieâs mom!â i would say the most well done one was nevelâs reintroduction, drawing on his original characterization and pulling a crazy scheme to marry carly because heâs still holding that flame for her. it was absurd and silly, but it was nevel (though they sort of ruined it in the end by nevel getting his happy ending with the girl carly thinks is a robot).Â
another place the show struggled was in its comedy. it really couldnât find the feeling with its jokes. when it wasnât pulling on old gags for laughs ( âwas it supposed to catch on fire?â ânever isâ), i think they were trying to âadult-ifyâ the humor and it just wasnât working. icarly in the original did have a lot of random = funny and iâm glad they decided to steer away from that, but by the end of season 1, i still donât think theyâve found their comedic voice.
so, why did i think it was good? why did i still enjoy it overall? because i think if i added up positives and negatives, negatives would probably outweigh postiives. but i think that despite it all, the icarly revival was endearing. i thought the actors, particularly the returning actors, did a great job breathing life back into the characters and i did enjoy seeing them again (although, weirdly, i think miranda in particular was a better actor in the original than she is as an adult in this role). i think the show has a lot of great actors and has a lot of potential as a revival. i like that itâs not a reboot, but a continuation of the canon.
so, weâll see how season 2 goes. iâm holding out hope and i think even if it doesnât address a lot of these problems, iâll still be decently entertained.

Shirley Souagnon for Black History Month
Rather than choosing a historical figure, I decided to promote an actual french artist, still fully alive, whoâs making the change we need .
Meet Shirley Souagnon .
Shirley Souagnon is a french lesbian humorist and also an entrepeneur.. She started young on a TV spot and an episode of a french serie called Navarro. When she was in highschool she got recruted by the Madison High School of Houston, Texas, in order to play in their basket-ball team.
Few years later, Shirley is back to France and starts to do stand-up comedy. She writes her first one-woman show Sketch-Up! in 2008 and starts to particpate to some famous TV show focused on stand-up comedy. She slowly but surely rises and starts doing radio, fictionnal tv show while still doing stand-up comedy. In 2019, she opens her own comedy club called the Barbes Comedy Club.
As you can notice by her last stand-up poster (Mister Shirley), Shirley loves to talk about how it is to be a black lesbian woman with an androgynous look. More than that, sheâs doing a lot for several charities (LGBTQA+, feminist, african ones) and she also promotes a new wave of great artists such as Tahnee or KT Gorique (who are also great black lesbian artists).
Also, in 2018, Shirley and several other black women created an essay called Noire nâest pas mon mĂŠtier (Black is not my job) who denounces the racism in cinema and society. I hiighly recommend you all this powerfull and important essay who will give some powerfull black artists testimonies.
You can follow Shirley Souagnon on Youtube and Instagram, and you can also see her on Netflix in Comedians of the World (France category, she got the first episode).
#Black History Month Sims#ts4 edit#sims4 edit#Shirley Souagnon#let's support important figures while they're still alive#she's so so funny and so brilliant#I love all the important historical figures I've seen so far so I wanted to contribute a little#she's so iconic but very few people knows that#she's really making the change we need

ENROLLED!!! . . . . . 2020 changed a lot of things and we all realized things that are important to us and we do not want to wait for anymore. . I was putting things on hold because I was prioritizing supporting 'friends' who 'have never been heard' and 'never got to fulfil their dreams'. As a friendly recently said in a call, 'People like us are Pathological Rescuers'. . He is right. Empaths, often run to save others while putting ourselves last, only to realize we have been used, manipulated, disposed and lost opportunities because we let ourselves become the least important person in our life. I did that. Time and again. . Losing many loved ones, in personal and professional circle, it hit me hard that there is only one life and one chance to fulfil our dreams, and if I don't put myself first now, when will I? There will always be someone needing support, but do I have to erase my dreams and ambitions to fulfil theirs, again, and again and again? Especially, when they are neither my family, nor have been there when I was down, but appear from the woodworks when they know I can be a good resource for them. NO MORE! For me, one of my dreams has always been studying for the Master's Degree in Psychology but Time, Money, Logistics (and distractions) were complicated with being a full-time entrepreneur and an overtime Pathological Rescuer of the opportunistic users. . Lo and behold, a friend suggested I could do it as Distance Study option and can travel at the end of year to appear for the exam. Exactly what I needed to hear. . So, finally enrolled for Masters Degree in Psychology and I am so grateful and thrilled. . Dream Big, Make It Happen - I may not be any good at long distance relationships but I have done my entire business long distance with clients all across the planet, so here comes Long Distance Study Relationship that I am confident of seeing to it's conclusion. . I am ENROLLED! . . . . . #INTENTIONALinfluenCEL #EntrepreneurMaker #BeyondTheBoxes #almostNakedCEO #Szebastian #Clarity #Success #Business #Intention #Entrepeneur #Gay #LGBT #Pride #NonBinary #FitLife #Fitness #MentalHealth #Determination #TRANSformation https://www.instagram.com/p/CQV-bjsFwS4/?utm_medium=tumblr

âweh weh elon muskâ
âheâs just like every other billionaire. Sleezy slimey and only remains a billionaire because of his fascist imperial image.â
No you fucking tankie, he maintains his wealth because we live under a soft-socialist system of a government and corporatism that wrangles business and makes barons and counts out of some with lucrative business contracts and deals while letting others wither on the vine when it suits the governmentâs interest.
Itâs all the corruption of a socialist system with the functionality of a capitalist one, and itâs the only reason this authoritarian regime functions. The capitalist elements are the only thing making it work. Take the billionaires out, take the capitalism out, youâre just left with authoritarian asshats, brain drain, entitled moralists and idiots.
âThe billionaire class exists because of capitalismâ
The billionaire entrepeneurs exist because of corporatist state overreach you disingenuous fucks. And then yall have the gall and audacity to wonk about how âsurely you agree no one needs a billion dollars?â No. I donât agree. Having money and making money is not a crime- when you pay taxes on it. If 35-40% of that income is going to the state as itâs made, heâs already paid many times more what the average person that canât afford to pay taxes period will ever pay into the system of society.

hereâs a tip. Iâm not an entrepreneur or business related college level nor an professional entrepeneur. Just your typical downline entrepeneur pa lang, but want to urge to teach you.
1. Long-tempered - Ayan. Actually, very, very long tempered. Marami talaga so called âjoy reserverâ. They donât scam or fool you, they donât just have the money yet, theyâre just asking para sa susunod nakapaghanda na.
2. Post lang nang post - Ilang linggo na ba, wala pa rin? Its been months, wala pa rin? No worries, ganyan talaga ang buhay. Post ka lang nang post.. Dapat nga every week ang pagpopost eh. Every day pa nga. Basta madalas ka may post, iba ibang caption. Kumbaga, ibang ad ng business mo. Ganern. Wag ka lang magpost, magchat ka din sa di mo kakilala.
3. Group page - Marami ka dapat group page. Lahat salihan mo, school markets and luzon, visayas mindanao buy and sell, pati foreign salihan mo. As long as mga buy and sell groups. Mahirap na kung kalokohan group, tapos nagpost ka. yari ka sa admin, maattitude pa naman ibang kabataan ngayon. Share mo yung business post mo from your timeline or either, create a post on your own. Pwede din from your page, ayan, mas maganda may page din ng business.
4. Donât be a Whiner - Ayaw bumili, hayaan mo. Nagiinquire lang, hayaan mo. Marami pa diyan iba. Pwede din, kulitin mo hangat bumili sayo pag may pera na. Wag unahin ang init ng ulo at magreklamo. Kalma! Baka mahigh blood. Ano ba mas marami, kakilala mo or di mo kakilala? Take note, strangers always the supporter and your closest is the enemy.
5. Think Positive - (Stay negative to Covid or any illnesses) Ayan, whatever it takes dapat mindset is positive.
6. Payment first policy - Whatever it takes, always on a payment first. Kamaganak mo or di mo kakilala, payment first palagi. Oh and, dapat alamin mo muna kung bibili iyan di yung kukuha ka agad tapos di pala. Plan their sched when bibili. Wag din yang negotiable price, bebe, malulugi iyang negosyo mo okaya unfair sa mga reseller katulad mo, nagbibigay ng mababang price. Learn to respect other reseller, lalo na kung nakikibenta ka lang. Your business, your rules.
Ako kasi tinuruan ako, I have trained. Kung hindi naman, sa youtube. Marami diyan. Aralin mo. Wag basta basta. Oh and, dapat wag mahaba ang caption. You know people tamad magbasa. Ikaw nga diba, di mo binabasa ang terms and conditions.
8. Humble - No matter what, kahit sabihin mo nagbooming ka first time mo, wag magpapakampante or lalaki ulo. Learn to down on earth. Kung saan ka nanggaling, don ka pa rin. Marami din magaasar sayo na âay tagabenta na langâ, âgraduate ka diba, ph d pa, bakit tagabentaâ. Remember number 7, successful people. Wag ka rin magcocompare sa iba mo kapareha, wag maninira sa kapareho mo kasi iiba iba kayo ng taste ng benta mo. Kung resell, iba iba lugar and strategy. Minsan nasa ugali ng seller kaya mabenta, may iba dahil sa page or caption niya. Marami, aralin mo kakayahan mo.
9. WORK HARD - No caption needed.
10. Trustworthy - ITO DAPAT. Yes, last but not the least. Diba dapat una? Mas maganda huli, para special. Well, hindi lang siya sa business, lahat dapat may trust. Tiwala sa sarili mo, sa clients and buyers, sa products mo.
11. ENJOY - Enjoyin mo lang  Donât pressure on selling, laruin mo lang. Trial and error.
As I said, mas marami di mo kakilala. Marami tao sa mundo.
Thereâs more a lot to came from, pero iyan lang pinakabasic na aaralin ng first time or aspiring. Again, I am not a professional entreprenur or business related level, pero just helping. Iâm also an entrepreneur who want to help other seller.
Hindi ako marami alam, yan lang mga natutunan ko mga panahong nagsesell ako at mga natutunan ko sa training ko and youtube. Oh and, baka sabihin pangnetworker iyan since Iâm a networker. Networking is a kind of business. Also, I sell non-frontrow products.
Smile.

SO ABOUT BRUCEâS LOVE-INTERESTS
First of all I think we need to address why he has so many compared to other DC characters. Well, my good people, this is very simple: his writers are bad. A lot of his love-interests simply existed for the sake of a story and most of the time the reason they donât work out is because, and Iâm not bullshitting here, itâs part of Batmanâs nature to be so obssessed with solving crime that he canât maintain a serious relationship with women. And Bruce Wayneâs relationships fail because of his constant absences and secrets.
That being said, sometimes his relationships fail for other reasons. So letâs get this started shall we?
Category One: His Major Relationships
These are his relationships that have consistently shown up in many continuities and were, in fact, attempts on giving him some kind of serious girlfriend, regardless of how the writers failed.
1: Julie Madison. Julieâs character has changed a lot in the different continuities but originally she was an actress who broke up with Bruce because he refused to stop his âplayboy waysâ even when she confronted him about them. In one version she goes on to marry a man in Europe. In New Earth her hair was changed from black to auburn and, instead of being an actress, she was the daughter of an entrepeneur.Â
She broke up with Bruce when she learned he was Batman and that her father had been killed as a result of Batmanâs action. She moved to Africa and became a missionary. In current continuity, Julie is an artist and her father is an arms dealer who sold the gun that was used to kill Bruceâs parents. They first dated as teens but met again when Bruce lost his memories (amnesia stories yaaay). Bruce was so passionately in love with her, that he was even ready to settle down and marry her. Unfortunately, in his absence, Gothamâs crime had skyrocketed and Alfred and Julie had to, regretfully, give him his memories back so he could be Batman once more. This also erased his memory of being with Julie.
In The New Batman Adventures comics, Bruce and Julie dated right up until Bruce found out she was only after his fortune. Thatâs just how it be in comics sometimes. She also appeared in the Batman And Robin movie but her character added little to the plot and most of her scenes ended up being edited out in the final cut.
2: Victoria/Vicki Vale. Vicki Vale was created to be Bruceâs version of Lois Lane (yeah itâs no wonder this never worked). They got involved because she made it her lifeâs mission to expose Batmanâs identity and ended up dating Bruce in the process (itâs also worth noting she was already suspicious of him being Batman). Her character hasnât had a lot of changed over the years and, surprisingly, has managed to keep most of her original characterization.Â
She disappeared from the comics when Julius Schwartz took over the editorial office in 1964. She was re-introduced in the early 1980â˛s by Gerry Conway but idea was ill-advised as her character had very little development and was instead the same old concept of someone finding out Bruceâs identity. Doug Moench was mainly responsible for slowly removing her as Bruceâs love-interest, though she has since returned to that role. In Batman: The Road Home, Vicki finally got proof that Bruce was Batman but decided to keep it to herself and instead became a confidante and ally of the batfamily, rather then Bruceâs girlfriend.
She appeared in Tim Burtonâs Batman as well, but was a damsel in distress throughout the film and only learned his identity through happenstance rather then because she was seeking it out.
In various other continuities, sheâs been shown as an occasional date for Bruce Wayne.
3: Selina Kyle needs to introduction but her influence in his life is so long and extensive sheâd need a post of her own to cover it all. Youâll be pleased to know that there have been quite a few stories where theyâve managed to sustain a relationship and be happy together.
4: Talia Al Ghul. Obviously we all know her for being Damianâs mother, whoever Raâs himself has encouraged her relationship with Bruce, because he wants to try and recruit Batman into the League of Assassinâs.
Originally, Talia was very devoted to Bruce and loved him as much as she loved her own father, even saving his life on multiple occasionâs, though she always returned to her fatherâs side afterwards. They had a sexual encounter that lead to the birth of Damian, as we all know, but over time Talia became more antagonistic towards Bruce, seeking to fulfill her fatherâs goals and rule with Batman by her side instead. However, he rejected her proposal and she declared war on him (yikes.)
In Batman: The Animated Series, her character was practically the same as her comic iteration. She returned in Batman Beyond where Bruce was horrified to learn that sheâd given up her body for her father (yeah. Thatâs a thing).
In Batman: Arkham City, Talia and Bruce had a romantic background and cared very deeply for eachother, even willing to risk their lived to save the otherâs.
On Earth-16, Bruce broke all ties with Talia due to her conflicting morals; her love for Bruce vs her loyalty to Raâs.Â
In the Dark Knight Rises film, Talia is an executive member of Wayne Enterprises who becomes romantically involved with Bruce. She eventually takes over the company and tries to destroy Gotham per her fatherâs mad design.
Category Two: Minor Relationships
These are his love-interests who have only appeared sporadically as options for him over the years, rather then being a consistent thing.
1: Amina Franklin. Originally someone who worked as a nurse at Leslie Thompkinsâ clinic, Amina met Bruce at a party and they started dating shortly after. Her brother, Wayne Franklin (I know), was the villain called Grotesk (original name there buddy) and Amina was killed during a confrontation between him and Bruce.
2: April Clarkson (Midnight). If the name Midnight strikes any familiarity to you, then youâll know who April is. She was a GCPD officer who briefly dated Bruce and helped Batman track down the gruesome murderer Midnight (yeah his track record is great isnât it? In her defense April only killed the corrupt dudes but like. Still). Bruce was pretty torn up when he learned this because he had very strong feelings for her! Alas what can ya do, right?
3: Bekka. Bekka saved Batmanâs life from Darkseidâs forces on the planet Tartarus and the two shared a mutual attraction (Bekka is also Orionâs wife. Yikes.) She was later murdered (in my motherâs own words âanother one bites the dustâ).
4: Black Canary. Yes seriously. Despite her long-standing romance with Green Arrow, Dinah has shown attraction to Bruce on numerous occasionâs and the two have even shared kisses before (Batman: Brave and Bold #166 and Birds of Prey #90). On Earthâs 31 and 37 this attraction is way stronger.
5: Charlotte Rivers. A news reporter in Gotham, Charlotte wanted to leave the city which put a rift between her and Bruce. After her twin sister, Jill, made an attempt on her life, Charlotte dumped Bruce and took a job offer in Paris. Ouch.
6: Dawn Golden. Dawn was the daughter of cult leader Aleister Golden, who practiced Dark Magic. Dawn was a childhood friend of Bruceâs who dated him in college and apparently broke his heart (lmao). She became a socialite and then her dad murdered her as part of a dark ritual to give himself eternal life. Yeah.
7: Harley Quinn. YEP HEREâS ANOTHER ONE. Harley has had occasional romantic encounters with Batman over the years, specifically in the Animated Series when she kissed him in the episode Harleyâs Holiday. In recent N52 canon, thereâs been a couple of stories where Harley has ended up infatuated with Batman or Bruce Wayne. Theyâre all one-sided feelings as far as we know, however.
8: Jaina Hudson (White Rabbit). Another name that might be familiar to those who know Bruceâs villains. Jaina was a socialite of Indian descent who met Bruce at a charity fundraiser. Later Bruce found out she could duplicate herself into two beings: herself and the scantily clad (its comics what do we expect?) criminal White Rabbit, who had, more than once, lured him to other villains like Joker and Bane.
9: Jezebel Jet. A wealthy woman of African descent, Jezebel was a model who owned an African province and secretly worked for Black Glove. She gained Bruceâs love as a ploy to destroy him during Batman R.I.P and was later killed on Taliaâs orders.Â
10: Jillian Maxwell. Jillian met Bruce at a costume party in Batman: Legends of The Dark Knight Halloween Special #1 (wow thats long). It turned out, however, that she was actually a woman who used many different personas to seduce wealthy men before orchestrating events that led to their deaths so she could take their wealth. Wild. When Alfred told him this, Bruce was heartbroken. Jillian used the name Aubrey Marguerite in Brazil and Bruce, as Batman, tracked her down and left a note ordering her to confess her sins.Â
11: Julia Pennyworth. Daughter of Alfred and French Resistance fighter Mademoiselle Marie, Julia was introduced to the comics in by Doug Moench in the early 1980â˛s. Efforts to make her a romantic partner for Bruce proved difficult with the presence of Noctura and Vicki Vale (guess why he writ her out of comics lol).
12: Kathy Kane (Batwoman). Strap in lads this one gets Weird. Kathy was made in the Silver Age to be Batmanâs female counterpart and romantic partner. Many stories showing the two getting married were published though in the main canon at the time her feelings for him were one-sided. On Earth-Two, Kathy resigned herself to live without his love and on Earth One she was murdered by the League of Assassins. Grant Morrison wrote stories featuring her in New Earth canon bc he liked using Silver Age comics for inspiration. She was eventually replaced by Katherine âKateâ Kane, a lesbian who got discharged from the military for homosexual conduct (in New Earth as well). In Prime Earth canon, Kate Kane is Bruceâs cousin. So yeah. Thereâs that.
13: Linda Page. Adapted from Batman serial (1943), Linda came into the comics during the Golden Age and was a former socialite who worked as a nurse for the elderly, disproving the idea that rich women were lazy and spoiled. She dated Bruce for a few issues but fell through the cracks and disappeared.
14: Lorna Shore. Lorna is a Museum Curator from the Lovers and Madmen story in Batman Confidential. Her relationship with Bruce was love at first sight and he was able to find peace with her for the first time since his parentsâ murder (look. I know). However, after his first encounter with Joker, Bruce broke off their relationship to keep her safe and Lorna left Gotham soon after feeling that the city was no longer safe bc of Batman and Joker.
15: Mallory Moxon. Daughter of mob boss Lew Moxon, Mallory was a childhood friend of Bruceâs who dated him for a short time when they were kids (I know) before they drifted apart. They dated again as adults even while Bruce suspected her of continuing her fatherâs criminal operation. He never found conclusive proof.
16: Natalia Knight (Noctura). Another character created by Doug Moench in the early 1980â˛s, Natalia was the most remarkable of Batmanâs love-interestâs at the time. A jewel thief who briefly adopted Jason Todd and knew Bruceâs identity, Natalia had a rare light sensitivity disease that bleached her skin white. She used a special narcotic perfume that caused men to fall in love with her and Bruce was no exception (yeah...). They started dating because they were both âequally fascinatedâ by eachother (Y E A H). Bruce realized his love for her was because of the perfume and struggled to stop thinking about her. Nocturna was stabbed by her brother during Crisis on Infinte Earths and floated into the sky on her balloon, presumed to be dead. Other versions of her character have appeared since but none of them are the same as the original pre-Crisis version.Â
17: Natalya Trusevich. A Ukranian pianist, Natalya grew frustrated with Bruceâs closed-off demeanour until Alfred had him reveal his secret to her. Abducted by Mad Hatter soon after, Natalya was tortured in an attempt to get her to spill Batmanâs identity. When she refused, Mad Hatter threw her off the helicopter to her death.
18: Pamela Isley (Poison Ivy). Here we go again lads. Ivy, as we all know, uses seduction and pheromones to get men to fall for her and obey her commands. This is no different with Batman, who initially confused the lust caused by her methods for love. Ivy has a love/hate relationship with him: sometimes she claims to love him and desires his affection and other times she has no problem wanting him dead. They had a brief but genuine relationship when Bruce cured her condition but this ended when Pamela seemingly died trying to turn herself back into Poison Ivy. Yikes.Â
19: Rachel Caspian. In Batman: Year Two, Bruce fell in love with Rachel. Unfortunately her dad moonlighted as a murderous vigilante who committed suicide. Bruce was prepared to end his crime-fighting career to marry her but Rachel broke off their engagement and enrolled into a nunnery to pay her fatherâs penance after learning of his evil deeds.
20: Sasha Bordeaux. Assigned as his bodyguard, Sasha deduced Bruceâs identity as Batman and briefly fought at his side. Framed for the murder of Bruceâs girlfriend, Vesper Fairchild, Sasha later joined Maxwell Lordâs Checkmate Organization. She was turned into a Cyborg during The OMAC Project but this was resolved later. Though she did kiss Bruce near the end of OMAC Project their relationship passed on.
21: Silver St. Cloud. Appearing in the late 1970â˛s in the story Strange Apparitions, Silver was a socialite who, despite deducing Bruce was Batman, couldnât handle dating someone with such a dangerous life-style (fair enough actually). She left Gotham but returned years later in Batman: Dark Detective where she and Bruce tried to make a serious romance work. This fell apart after she was kidnapped by Joker and later on Silver was murdered by the criminal Onomatopeia.
22: Shondra Kinsolving. A psychic and half-sister of Benedict Asp, Shondra had a brief romance with Bruce when she helped heal him after Bane broke his back. Before they could fully commit to eachother, Benedict kidnapped her and turned her abilities to evil use. Batman defeated him but the damage to Shondraâs mind was too great and, after healing Bruceâs injuries, her psyche regressed back to childhood. Bruce paid for her to have the best intensive care for the rest of her life in a psychiatric institution.
23: Vesper Fairchild. A popular radio host in Gotham, Doug Moench (jeez dude chill) established her romance with Bruce during his second run of Batman in the 1990â˛s. During the No Manâs Land Crisis, Vesper left Gotham and was killed by David Cain on Lexâs orders. This started the Bruce Wayne: Fugitive storyline.
24: Diana Prince (Wonder Woman). Briefly dating in the comics, nothing actually came of their romance and they both decided to simply stay good friends. They did, however, still care deeply for one another and it was this love that allowed Diana to become a Star Sapphire during the Blackest Night storyline. They were also paired together in Justice League Animated.Â
25: Zatanna Zatara. Bet you werenât expecting this one huh? The first time they had romantic interest was in Batman: The Animated Series where they met in their youth. Bruce gave priority to pursuing his training to becoming Batman and they met again as adults but nothing came of their interest. This was later introduced in the comics. They had a major falling out when Bruce discovered Zatanna had windwiped him after heâd caught her mindwiping Doctor Light at the JLâs instruction. Bruce made it clear he didnât trust her anymore but they later resolved the issue and became close friends again.
Category Three: Other Media
These are still minor relationships but as a whole they didnât really happen during main continuities. Basically these are romances specifically from films, crossovers and the DCAU.
1: Andrea Beaumont. In Batman: Mask of The Phantasm, Andrea was engaged to Bruce before he became Batman but she broke off said engagement when she fled the country with her father to escape the mob. She then became the title villain of the film.
2: Barbara Gordon (Batgirl). Probably the most infamous for making everyone go âwtfâ, Barbara had a heavily implied past relationship with Bruce in Batman Beyond and had sex with Bruce on a rooftop in the animated Killing Joke adaptation.
3: Lois Lane. In a crossover between The New Batman Adventures and Superman: The Animated Series, Bruce and Lois dated eachother to Supermanâs annoyance but Lois broke up with him after learning his identity as Batman. During a 3-4 issue long amnesia storyline in the Batman/Superman teamup comic, they also shared romantic feelings for eachother and kissed right before Bruce restored his own memories (dont. Ask).
4: Rachel Dawes. She was his childhood friend and love-interest in the Dark Knight Trilogy. Like. Thatâs it.Â
And there you have it! All of Bruceâs gfâs aired out for everyone to screw their noses over! This wasnât worth any of my attention but fuck it! Itâs done!
