You see, that WAS claimed for GER. But then Araki went on to say GER was his excuse for not including Giorno. So it's just yet another lazy excuse.
Also. You. You understand me. You get me. The ending of Stone Ocean could have been SO much more impactful if we got to see the suvivors of other parts experiencing Made in Heaven's effects.
ok so im NOT crazy like.. GER doesnt NEEd to be there.. and like.. i dont WANT GER to win. this jolynes part!! i dont want someone to swoop in and save her. i want giorno off to the side, not even effect jolyne (like the ungalo fight they are just not involved) and its Giorno having this last draw to pucci and is it because he is dio's son or the joestar in him that brought him there to face pucci. Giorno spending the last moments against a man who knew his father better than most and pucci who has fallen far and hard from grace taking out something that could really REALLY show how he is a broken and lost man who desperate to not be stopped, to reach some promise end that will make everything that he and the people in his life have been through meant something greater than him.
and just!! even a lil smidge of getting to see everyone else.. just a little bit, i would have really liked to see them... i know araki has all his statements about this and that but i dont care, show me the good stuff, let me see the family..
i also think about those who didnt die during made in heaven reset... like.. ugh,, one day some of your family members are just slightly different, hardly but the change is there...
#sorry im a 'everyone whose soul was alive when the world reseted kept their memories like emporio' truther#the wonderful world is FUCKED for this angle#ppl say im crazy and thats now how it works#but i think araki barely knows how it works#we didnt full explore the rules of all that#we just know when pucci did it#ppl had deja vu and vaugely remembered stuff#but those from the first world who died during the change had to be rebuilt themselves

No but the way Pucci being Christian is so intertwined with his motives as a villain... He’s every story I’ve heard of the Christian convert who suffered something horrible and senseless, and after drifting through life lost and without a sense of purpose, found hope by believing in God. He’s so many stories of tragedy I’ve seen where people managed to cope by finding peace in the idea that this is all part of God’s divine, incomprehensible plan; It’s fate, it’s his will, and by accepting it they can move on. It’s for a reason, even if they’ll never understand what they’re looking at.
That’s what Heaven is for Pucci; His core trauma is a series of horrific coincidences with no rhyme or reason, and so he latches onto the idea that it’s all part of “his” plan, God and/or DIO’s. That’s why he finds comfort in knowing the future, knowing it’s all in the hands of Fate and removing his own blame and agency, which is why the narrator asks the viewer to judge for ourselves who did wrong, when we see the backstory of Wes, Enrico, and Perla. Pucci made a decision and it backfired horribly, so he doesn’t want to choose anymore.
It’s the way Pucci’s desire to be the messianic hero screws him over and causes tragedy; He’s so devoted to his position as a priest that rather than sabotaging it in order to just tell Perla the truth to her face (thus breaking the rules of the confessional), Pucci relies on this roundabout method so he can have it both ways, only to cause heartbreak and death. Pucci is so desperate to save humanity to make up for his own guilt and failure that he resets the universe, making him the worst kind of evil in his brother’s eyes; One totally oblivious to its nature. Pucci begs to die a martyr from Weather Report and Emporio, rather than just dying here and now.
Ungalo and Rikiel are prepared to die for Pucci once he gives them a sense of purpose to all of the inexplicable misfortune in their lives; Versus is also emboldened by this realization, but chooses to weaponize it for himself. The sons of DIO are people who all went through misfortune their whole lives, they’re ‘children of God’ who find comfort in devoting themselves to something they can actually believe in, that they believe will take care of them in some way; Like many Christians following the path of God, believing Heaven is waiting for them at the end of the tribulation and that it will all be worth it, that it all meant something and mattered and served a cause, like them.
Pucci and the sons of DIO can no longer bear the pain and uncertainty of moving forward, so they aspire, Pucci especially, for a world where fate will move things along for them. They don’t have to take the first step, especially not Pucci, when Made in Heaven’s reset will compel him and everyone else to do what’s fated, regardless of what they try.
Pucci fears and admires the courage of the Joestars who are able to step forward and face fate, engage and grapple with it, rather than just blindly accept and surrender in despair. If Diavolo precedes Pucci as someone too resistant of fate, Pucci is the opposite; Someone too resigned to it. Unlike the Joestars who know their fate but can work with what’s written in stone to change the other details.
It’s why Pucci admires the first human to try a mushroom despite knowing it could kill them; But rather than put in the effort to get up to their level, Pucci would rather everyone stoop to his own, and claims he’s just sparing people noble yet needless pain (He’s only sparing himself by avoiding the reminder that he could and should be braver than this). He says he pities the human who tried a mushroom, adding that they were probably only motivated by hunger and desperation, and had no choice anyway.
I think Pucci is secretly envious of that courage, and that’s why he always downplays it afterwards by suggesting it’s foolishness rather than bravery. Pride, Envy, Wrath... Sloth given his despair, and a bit of Greed with the $800 dollar pants. Then there’s the BDSM vibes of Whitesnake for Lust, all that’s missing is Gluttony, which I guess the cherries and being devoured by the Green Baby account for...?
In all seriousness, Pucci wants guidance; He surrenders himself to God, follows the instructions led by DIO, and relies on Fate to tell him what to do when Made in Heaven resets the universe. Remember that time Pucci got around his brother’s Heavy Weather by removing his sight, and forcing Anasui to guide him? Yeah.
There’s a reason why Whitesnake obsesses with preserving the past, and I think part of it boils down to Pucci being afraid of its counterpart the Future; Which Made in Heaven, not entirely unlike King Crimson, allows Pucci to speed through and glimpse, to get through the worst of it ASAP and lessen the pain. He doesn’t want to accept that sometimes things just… happen.

i can i request kitten x bimbo!reader going shopping together? maybe even doing each others makeup? i’m so in love with her
thank u so much for such a cute request ;-; i focused on the shopping here, but makeup sesh is def in the works... >:)
bubblegum
patricia ‘kitten’ braden x f!bimbo!reader word count: ~1k tags: established relationship, suggestive themes, flirting, overdescribing of clothing as per usual
(ao3)
The clacking of heels on pavement, accompanied by continuous giggling, was like music to you and Kitten’s ears. You two walk side by side on the Downtown thoroughfare, ogling at whatever individual strikes your shared fancies.
“Did you see the way he looked at you, darling?” Kitten covers her mouth with a manicured hand, smiling. “He definitely liked what he saw.”
“Oh, you might be right! However,” you lean close to her ear, breath hot, “That fellow that just walked by us was thinking something just awful about you, Kitten dear.”
“Is that so?” She looks at you coyly, hips swaying just a little bit more exaggerated than usual, “I didn’t know you were a mind-reader! What am I thinking now, then?”
You pout your lips, stopping in the middle of the sidewalk, “You’re thinking… about how badly you want to buy that Pucci scarf!”
Pointing towards the shop window beside you both, the two of you laugh.
“By God, you’re right, (Y/N)! We simply must go in, it’s fate, no?”
Nodding quickly, you walk in together, being met with stares from cashiers and shoppers alike. You’re dressed in a simple light pink jumpsuit, zipped down ever so slightly to reveal a hint of your chest, and your height is practically doubled by your deeper pink platforms. Kitten was dressed just as lovely as you, if not more understated comparatively: flared denim overalls, with a white peasant top underneath.
“Love, do you think they’ll notice if we nick anything?” Kitten whispers to you, her smirking obvious.
“You have really got to get used to having money, dear,” You strut through the store and pick up a houndstooth pencil skirt, “No more of that talk, now how does this look on me?”
She smiles widely, barely holding back a laugh, “Absolutely horrid, let me see that.”
After a quick back and forth about who rocked it better, the two of you eventually find your arms full of clothing to try on. Making your way to the dressing rooms, you both enter the same one, which didn’t come as a surprise. You both needed immediate opinions on the items you chose.
Kitten quickly undoes her overall clasps, and you bite your lip as you see her cute little knickers, “God, you never fail to amaze me, Kitty.”
“Call me ‘Kitty’ again, I’ll kick you,” she pulls on a plaid miniskirt, “And trust me, I know.”
You unzip your jumpsuit fully, revealing that you’re wearing not a thing underneath. Her eyes practically bulge out of her skull, but she quickly shakes the truly dirty thoughts from her head. Acting as if nothing is amiss, you turn around to pull on some rather tight leather pants, maneuvering your hips in a rather hypnotic way toward Kitten.
“Good Lord, (Y/N)...”
Smirking as you finally fit the buttons together, you spin around, “Something catch your eye, dear?”
“Maybe,” Kitten’s hands trace your curves, leaving goosebumps in her wake on your chest, “You’ll see when we get home.”
You perk up at her words, debating whether or not you should eat her out right then, “Little tease!”
“Says you!”
Kitten pulls away, her touch still lingering on your bare skin. You stick your tongue out and reach down to try on the Hermès sweater with a cutout in the chest that had been tantalizing you for weeks now. It was baggy, but coupled with the leather bootcuts, you felt unstoppable.
Turning around, you see Kitten smoothing down a Pucci dress, with billowing sleeves and patterned with green-blue swirls, typical of the brand. She looked like she stepped right off the runway, and your heart fluttered.
“We certainly shifted towards different styles, hm?” Kitten spins around in her dress, showing just how flowy the garment was. She looks you up and down, under the guise of reviewing your outfit, “That hugs your body just right, (Y/N). I adore it.”
“And I love our ever-changing aesthetics,” you watch her smile grow as she looks at herself in the mirror, “You look amazing, darling. If you don’t buy that, I will!”
Kitten pulls you towards her by your belt loops, biting her lip and staring down your shared reflection. “Look at us, (Y/N). Aren’t we so perfect together?”
“I have to agree, pretty kitty,” grabbing her ass rather harshly, you both laugh, “I think we have to be the hottest couple in this country.”
Nipping at your neck softly, she hums, “There’s no way around it, we have to buy all of these clothes, don’t we?”
“Oh, absolutely,” you kiss the top of her head, hand still on her behind, “We have to show everybody just how good we look together.”
Even as quickly as you two tried on every article you brought in, it still took an hour in the changing room. Multiple times, a clerk knocked rather sharply to inform you of the time, but they couldn’t exactly pull you out in such states of undress.
You both strut out, leaving no garments behind, and leaving surrounding customers stunned at how exactly you could afford such a plethora of items. Kitten seemed more nervous than you were, but money can do all the talking, so neither of you have to.
The cashier cleared her throat as you two placed your items on the counter, “You going to pay for all that then?”
Kitten steps behind you as you roll your eyes, “Duh. You think we’re like… destitute or something?”
Fancy words, accompanied by your attire, always gave them pause. You hand her your credit card, and she hesitantly puts it in the machine. Acting as if you were the most annoyed person on the planet, the transaction goes fairly fast, and without issue.
“Thank you for shopping with us, ladies.”
The two of you haul your various shopping bags out of the store, laughing all the while.
“How much even was all that, (Y/N)?” Kitten leans against the telephone pole, lighting a cigarette.
“I have no idea, and I don’t want to know until my statement comes in, or the company tears down our door!”
After taking a drag, she passes you the now-lit cigarette, “Now how exactly are we gonna haul this 10 blocks back to our flat?”

Sorry for asking again I accidentally sent the wrong video here the right one.
WHEN KAYUGA MET SHIROGANE'S DAD by ANIME SOCIETY
[Sillier Version]
----------------------------------
Jaune: Dad? What are you doing here?
Dio: Is it really so odd for a father to come and support his son.
Jaune: Well, no, but-
Dio: And if I can get some decent shots of my future slaves, then all the more reason for me to-
Jaune: LISTEN HERE, YOU SONUVA-
Pucci: Actually, I asked him to take pictures of the other students so we know who to best ask for job applications.
Jaune: O-Oh... Um, yeah, sorry about that. (Walks away)
Pucci: I have to say, your son is very well-mannered.
Dio: Hardly. He's still such a child. For example, he's only just now hitting puberty with just a few hairs under his-
Jaune: (Runs back over, Superman punches)
----------------------------------
Weiss: (From a far away) Do your best, Jaune~!
Dio: So, he actually has a supporting cast, does he?
Weiss: Huh?
Dio: He's probably breaking a sweat like rock-breaker in prison to not let anyone know how incompetent he truly is.
Weiss: ...Excuse me, but I can't let that comment slide. As vice-leader of Team JNPR's sister team, Team RWBY, I, Weiss Schnee will not allow such disparaging comments about Jaune Arc.
Dio: Oho? And do tell me what you know about Jaune Arc.
Weiss: He was chosen to be the leader of Team JNPR!
Dio: Only out of a few candidates, right?
Weiss: His hair is luscious gold.
Dio: Only as a result of his genetic background, right?
Weiss: He has the greatest tactical mind of his classmates!
Dio: That's all he has going for him, is it?
Weiss: JAUNE ARC IS A WONDERFUL MAN! WHY CAN'T YOU SEE THAT?!
Dio: Hah... You have some interesting reactions.
Weiss: When I first came to Beacon, I thought I was the only one worthy of the title of leader. When he was made team leader of his team, and I wasn't of my own, I thought there was a mistake. But I see now that his kind heart paired with his brilliant mind put him where he is today. If I could, I'd like to meet his parents and thank them for how they raised him.
Dio: Oh? So if you were given the choice between loving or hating him with all your heart, which would you choose? Can you imagine sharing a loving kiss at an all-white altar? Well, do you?
Weiss: THAT LINE OF QUESTIONING IS COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE! Besides, why am I even talking about these kind of things with a complete stranger?! Who even are you?!
Dio: I'm naturally curious, much like cat who's found an unusual mouse.
Jaune: You're still up here? Wait, Weiss?
Dio: Excuse me. I must have appeared so rude to you. Greetings, I'm Dio Brando, Jaune Arc's father.
Weiss: ...What a terribly curious father you have, Jaune.
Jaune: Huh? WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER, YOU BASTARD?!

concernedstick-love replied to your post: "DIO and the Plan for Heaven..."
Excellent post, but if you allow me, i am very curious about what one of my main problems is with the Over Heaven Stand. Like, from what i am reading, it doesn't seem like something Araki would write. I don't have the game, so maybe you can clear me out, but it seems like it has poorly constructed powers. Unlike Araki, who tightly explains and displays them. So, i hope you don't mind if i personally prefer at least an ambiguous result to what that game gave into. (Like, did Dio had to punch EVERYONE on Earth to conquer it? Punch the ground and it became a shockwave of brainwashing? It feels wishy washy and not what Araki would have done)
Just so we're on the same page, some facts: according to CC2's Hiroshi Matsuyama, Araki supervised Story Mode in Eyes of Heaven, and it wasn't just a case of him signing off on what CC2's staff came up with. Instead Araki was very involved. Like very. Not only did Araki edit and reorganize their original story script but he suggested DIO as the final boss. Araki supervised Heaven DIO's design in every detail - skin color, hairstyle, etc - and paid particular attention to his expressions and attack techniques.
Even though it was a collaborative effort, Araki definitely did "write" Heaven DIO and his stand powers.
Re: what you're pointing out, I think The World Over Heaven isn't a stand power Araki would write for a manga's main antagonist; it's written for a story mode boss. Heaven DIO's short in-game screentime limits how well you can develop the character. As it stands, Heaven DIO's abilities expand on OG DIO's powers: he's got time stop and he punches stuff, it's just that punching stuff rewrites reality and erases people from existence.
When I say I like heaven-ascended Dio's powers in EoH better as a realization of the Heaven Plan had DIO been the one to carry it out than I do Made in Heaven's universal reset, I mean this from the standpoint that the universal reset doesn't feel like a thing Dio would want (fully explained). But I do agree that the ideal realization of "heaven" by Dio himself would best be written by Araki not for the sake of a story mode bad guy but in longer manga form. Had Araki written a version of Heaven Dio for his manga, he would have developed Dio's storyline and abilities differently and more fully. This leads back to the unknowability factor: we don't know what form Dio's own heaven ability would have taken had Dio lived on to carry out the formula himself because Araki didn't take the canon in this direction. However, the existence of The World Over Heaven (which I'm not suggesting is canon) shows a different realization for the heaven formula's potentiality, and that fact alone creates room to think that Dio's own "heaven" really would have looked radically different than the one that Pucci enacted.
Back to the game, The World Over Heaven may be flawed (and easily defeated by plot armor) but I still love it. The fact that we got a new version of DIO with a new design, updated stand, new animations, dialog, voice acting, and he's purple and he teleports, manifests lightning and punches stuff out of existence? Love it.

I can’t believe we still having the “does Jotaro Kujo have ptsd?” Conversation as if didn’t see him go through all of this in just one single night alone (that’s not counting everything that led up to it)
Like absolutely this man had PTSD. The battle between Jotaro and Dio was only like 3 minutes long (the monologuing and etc made it longer). And there wasn’t one second of that fight where Jotaro wasn’t fighting for his mf life. Dawg saw his grandfather get killed I’m front of him and seen Dio drain the life from him.
I know that Araki really shows and tells it but the events of Stardust Crusaders mess up all of jotaro’s interpersonal relationships like dude is permanently scarred by the events of Stardust Crusaders. To the point where he self isolates from his own wife and daughter because he doesn’t even want to risk a Cairo 2 happening when they’re around.
Dawg the only time we see this man scream in terror is when Pucci pulls a Dio Brando Knife Attack on Jolyne and Jotaro literally sees Dio Brando—relives Cairo
I don’t know how this is an debate like Cairo messed Jotaro up. Pucci even knows this because he had Jotaro Kujo’s DVD, he knows what makes Jotaro tick and what keeps him up at night. That’s why Pucci did that.

I want to dedicate a love post to Enrico Pucci because I just love him so much and my brain will never be the same again
I love that he's complex and flawed and driven by his grief and the depth of his love. I love how unacceptable his destiny is and he will do anything to open everyone's eyes to the absence of power they have in the story's world. It is impossible for him to exist in his world where he was created only to serve the purpose of giving the Joestars something to oppose and grow from, and the remedy he has found to this is to simply take control of the story, end everything and start again with the knowledge he has acquired, and maybe, the hope to free himself from his sins and bring back his loved ones.
I admire his will and determination to strive for greatness, self-growth and to see things to their end more than anything, staying calm and not backing away, seizing every opportunity. He also learns from everyone around him, from their battle tactics, from their relationships. He's a very smart and analytical character even though he's also stubborn and throws fits from time to time, which show his humanity, which is necessary since he's so superior without those flawed moments. I like his loneliness, the way he has a way to talk to and taunt people that's very unique to him, and directed at himself, he doesn't care if you don't understand, he doesn't care if he's celebrating his victories alone, he'll do it anyway. He's fun and quirky to look at, when he interacts with people, he's fun to anger, and it's satisfying to see him getting in dire situations (especially if he gets up from them)
He's evil and flawed and is a ruthless, one-track minded man, he's self-centered and can't accept (understand?) that people have different mindsets than himself. He knows he's right from start to finish, and that makes him such a great character with incredible confidence and charisma. He's the most terrifying character in all of JJBA, arguably the most powerful, his ability is just pure chaos and his eyes are cold as hell. He's got a strong inclination for revenge and likes to carry it in style, even if it means taking some damage in the process. I also like how ambiguous he is with some other characters, taking advantage of the fact they are drawn to him, using his appeal as a means to obtain what he wants. His dynamic with Dio brings a lot of depth to Dio's character, giving him the almost 'humanity' he severely lacks in other parts (especially SDC), it's very enjoyable to watch the way they interact together, which is so different from how we see them act with other people. The whole idea of the bone, fusing, and MIH is aesthetically really interesting and I liked trying to notice moments where the Dio influence might have taken over Pucci's decisions.
The themes surrounding him are very referenced and fascinating, religion, art, biology, physics and space, technology, philosophy, the stand lore... The details and references that come give depth to his character are limitless, did you know there's an actual italian scientist on gravity whose name was Enrico Pucci? That the adulterous priest he reads about in church is a famous painter who regretted taking his oath at 15 and had ties to the real Pucci family in Italy? He's also a very well constructed character in terms of psychology, he's never OOC, he feels very 3D in a 2D world.
Also he's awesome black representation in terms of character design with references to fashion, the flag of the city of Florence... His character design is holy with just a touch of sinful, and I'm not even talking about how cool Whitesnake is in general. I really like how Pucci/Whitesnake oppose both Weather/Weather Report but also Jonathan in terms of design. He's the most beautiful character I've ever seen overall, wears a beautiful tight and shiny gown, beautiful both in color and in black and white, first has a fun, pretty but manly design, which turns into a cute star-shaped motif shamelessly stolen from the Joestars, he has tired downturned eyes filled with depression, and the cutest nose in all of JJBA, he's tall and handsome with the big chest and shoulders especially in anime but also cute and feminine and has thin wrists and those cute sleeves... He's giving mom and dad at the same time and I love how curious he is with the green baby and how proud and happy he is with C-Moon and MIH and YES HES MY FAVE ANYWAYS
I didn't even get into how interesting he represents the relationship between faith, philosophy and science, or his relationship to the concept of blood ties, I could go on for hours but I'm late for class

i am so curious about your pucci thoughts...
I AM SO FUCKING SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG TO GET TO THIS ASK OH MY FUCKING GOD my life has been crazy lately but still i am So Sorry
okay so basically i love pucci we have to kill him. here is a list of my thoughts in no particular order
he makes me so ill like genuinely he is one of the most well written jojo characters ever and DEFINITELY the most well written villain. like holy shit. i think a lot about how weather said the evilest of people are those who think they are good and how that relates to pucci oh my GOD it makes me sick. pucci like many villains are a "ends justify the means" kinda guy like while he was cruel at many points i truly think he was jsut like, yes this is a moment of weakness but it wont matter because im going to fix it. i think aobut how he really thought he was going to save everyone. he was going to save perla. he was going to save dio. he was going to save himself. and thinking baout things from his side, like, oh my god. dio was his only friend. we the audience know that dio groomed him (not necessarily sexually but still grooming) and even though dio did seem to grow to truly care for pucci, he didnt care enough to not use him for his plan to restart the world -- but PUCCI didnt know that. im sure he had inklings and feelings like he's not NAIVE, im sure he KNEW dio was using him at SOME point, but it wouldnt change the fact dio still eventually saw him and was his friend either way. it wouldnt change the fact that he would do this one thing for his only friend, even if his only friend BECAME his friend in the first place just to make him fulfill this task. god dio and pucci's relationship is so insane i hate hate hate that people boil it down to just shipping LIKE THERE WAS RESENTMENT THERE WAS ANGER THERE WAS SO MUCH LOVE AND HALF OF IT WAS LOVE FOR WHAT THE OTHER COULD DO FOR HIM INSTEAD OF JUST HIM HIMSELF . LIKE FUCK'S SAKE im sick of ppl putting a romantic spin on everything and YES this is half me being aromatnic but also COME ON. and that's not even getting into the fact dio and pucci's relationship is supposed to parallel jolyne and jotaro's/jolyne and jonathan's. but anyway
god he loved his sister so much man it makes me sick he jsut wanted her safe man. after everything....i choose to believe his final thoughts were of perla. it's why he was begging for everything he did to have meant SOMETHING -- please let if have meant perla got a good life in whatever universe the world will end up in. i like to believe she did. he won't be there to see it. oh god he wont be there ot see it. fuck. maybe that was for the best in his mind anyway
his drama and tragedy aside he's also the funniest guy in the entire world. why the hell is a catholic priest wearing gucci. well i guess that answers the question but still. he is so fucking funny he is not even subtle about it he is LITERALLY like EOUGH DONT TOUCH MY EXPENSIVE DESIGNER PANTS and then he kicks a cop to his death for it. he's so fucking funny i love him so much. i love that whitesnake is independent enough to have its own personality and he and pucci get into spats sometimes OS FUCKING FUNNY. MFW I ARGUE WITH MY OWN SOUL.
also my disdain for shipping culture aside i cannot deny that pucci is a homophobic homosexual. he and jotaro totally banged a couple times and awkwardly called it off when pucci first sees jotaro's birthmark and he's like oh no. SO FUCKING FUNNY
ugh sorry i jsut want to go back to this point he's so smart he's so Aware of how people work and connect he's always had a fine sense for it (do you believe in gravity...) OUGH like there's no WAY HE DIDN'T KNOW DIO WAS USING HIM BUT HE STILL LOVED DIO AND I THINK BEYOND THAT. I THINK HE TRUY BELIEVED WHAT DIO WAS SAYING. I THINK HE TRULY BELIEVED OKAY EVEN IF DIO HAS HIS OWN MOTIVES HERE, THIS END IS JSUT. SO I WILL KEEP FOLLWOING ALONG. LIKE. I. i truly think he thought this would save everyone, especially perla. ohuogh my god PUCCIIIIIIIIIIIII
in short, he makes me sick we have to kill him. i like him a lot

My Thoughts on JOKER VS GIORNO
Once again, we come back to another Death Battle review, where I share my personal thoughts on what we saw.
Unlike Omni-Man Vs Bardock, while I was excited for that matchup, as someone who is a MASSIVE fan of both these characters and their respective franchises, this one was one that I was really looking forward to, even though I knew the fallout for it, regardless of who wins, is probably gonna keep me off the Death Battle internet community for a week at least.
Before I do or say anything on this matchup, I know this sort of thing goes through one ear and out the other, but can we please be respectful in the chat? It's super lame to start a war and to hate on the DB creators just because their opinion on a matchup isn't the same as yours. Let's just try to be good people, please?
Everything is under the cut as per normal, because I will be spoiling the episode:
In case it wasn't obvious how my previous review ended, this was a matchup that I was very excited for. But on top of my excitement, I was also...kind of scared.
I won't comment on my personal opinion of the JoJo fanbase and the Persona fanbase, but one thing that I cannot forgo talking about is that both sides are...intense.
Which is to say they love their franchises and their characters deeply, so while I, as someone who likes both Joker AND Giorno, and their respective series (though I do have a preference for Persona 5 and Joker) am not looking forward to the fallout that this episode brings, because Death Battle are probably about to make half their fanbase very, very angry.
Well, I mean, what else is new? But this time in particular, even more than Omni-Man and Bardock could have.
The analysis portions were actually very good. They touched on a lot of stuff, some of which I even forgot about, but I do have two pretty big qualms with them.
First of all, for Joker's segment especially, though Giorno's suffers from a similar problem, I'm pretty sure I could have made a bingo card of obvious jokes they could make about the Persona series and Joker and the Phantom Thieves, and...yeah, I would have definitely gotten a bingo.
Akechi's pancakes, Mara, the fact that you can date your teacher in the game and that Joker likes older women (although admittedly when I saw that in his intro card, it did make me chuckle), and the idea of never hanging out with your friends again once you max them out are all very commonly appearing jokes in the Persona fanbase, and Death Battle would not have missed an opportunity to mention pretty much all of them.
And then Giorno as well, though not as common, does have the drinking piss joke and the like. Although, I will admit, I think Boomsticks point about Jesus being a JoJo was done in a way that was pretty funny.
My other big issue with the analysis, and this carries on in the post analysis, is showing that Golden Experience Requiem could counter Pucci's stand, and then later, be negated by The World Over Heaven. Feats that come from video games that aren't exactly canon.
In the end, I don't think it really matters that much, because the points they made still stand, but can we maybe get a fact check on whether or not we can use these abilities? Because I'm pretty sure you'd have to take into account the feats of other JoJo's in past matchups, specifically Jotaro, who has the same ability by the end of that game.
Maybe Eyes of Heaven didn't come out when Jotaro Vs Kenshiro did, so I guess I'll give it a pass? Either way, it bothers me, and I really don't know why, because it doesn't amount to much; just that it's used to explain a point they were trying to make.
Other than that, pretty well-stylized analysis portions, and I don't have any complaints. They did well to sell the characters, and honestly? Up until I saw them, I was pretty ready for Jokers loss. Leading up to the fight, I started to change my tune. And after them, I changed sides completely and went back to supporting my boy.
I do somewhat feel guilty for how it ended though. Speaking of which, the fight.
I'm gonna be honest, the fight was cool, but it wasn't perfect. The teaser that was shown on the DB cast looked fire as fuck, but then when the actual fight started, it didn't live up to what it was selling.
Which is not to say that the fight didn't fuck, because it did. The sprites of the characters, Giorno especially, are just a little clunky, static, and very obviously a sprite puppet rig, that's all.
It also felt...a little fast paced? It's weird because the buildup to GE:R and Satanael was well-handled and cool, but for most of the fight, it just feels like the abilities are being thrown around rapid fast, and there's not much time to soak all of it in.
Also, I'm pretty sure Die For Me is an instant kill move, so maybe they should have saved that for when Requiem came out. Just my opinion though. I mean, Die For Me isn't 100% accurate, and doesn't work on bosses, so hell, maybe Giorno either dodged it, or is a boss.
I mean, he IS a boss, but...Well, whatever.
But again, my overall issue is that despite the similar framing, the animation budget just...hasn't quite hit yet. Maybe that's the price of being independent, but I'm REALLY holding out for Moro next week to absolutely smash the next match.
And again, this fight was NOT POORLY animated. Just that there have been sprite fights that were WAY better. Like Dio Vs Alucard for instance.
Speaking of which, this fight is actually pretty similar to that fight in that the penultimate winner of the fight spends...quite a lot of the match just getting bodied by their opponent until they're successfully able to turn it around. Dio did it against Alucard, and Joker did the same to his son in the end.
One more point I want to make on the fight itself is the voice acting. Kieren Regan, who voiced Giorno, is someone who I'm actually familiar with. He's the voice of Shikanoin Heizou in Genshin Impact, and this is his first time working with Death Battle. Honestly? His voice for Giorno is pretty good, even if his tone is a little more whispery than Phillip Reich's rendition of the character.
But OH MY FUCKING GOD, I swear, during the build up to this episode, I seriously thought that Xander Mobus himself was the one doing the voice of Joker! He's actually voiced by Kevin Rivera (Who most would know from the dub of Undead Unluck) who previously voiced Alex Mercer and Dimitri in the last season, but my lord, his impression is SPOT ON! 10/10, no notes!
If I had to give an overall highlight of the fight, well...It'd probably have to be the beginning portion of it that was shown in the cast. The intro to this fight was solid as hell, and if I had to pick another moment in the fight that I was pretty pumped about, it was the sequence when Giorno uses his ability to turn Joker's grapple shot into a snake, and then Joker shoots the snake which reflects the damage back on him. Then the bullets that Giorno turned into bees earlier returned to Joker, destroyed his gun, which gave passage to the ultimate climax of the fight.
That portion was pretty sick.
And then the way the fight ends, while stunning, I do kind of wish it had been more climactic than a single bullet, but...then again, a single bullet put down Jaldabaoth, so there's no need to oversell that, and neither Joker, nor Giorno, are really known for anime screaming or fighting tooth and nail (well, Giorno is sort of) so I can't exactly claim it to be out of character to end this way.
And as for my last note, I think I'm gonna have to give the fight track by Therewolf and Brandon Yates a listen on it's own when it drops, because it's hard to analyse the lyrics and tune while the fight is going on, because it very rapidly changes with each side's sporadic moves.
BUT the vocals in the track are done by Saoirse, the same person who did the vocals for Phantom's Game, the track that Brandon Yates made for a Joker Vs Neku commission he did, and...yeah, that's brilliant, because I loved the vocals of that song, and she's a brilliant singer on the same level as Lyn Inaizumi for these tracks, so yeah.
Final score for me? I give it an 8.5 out of 10. Not perfect, and not quite a 9, but definitely close.
Next week is Eggman Vs Bowser, as I suspected it would be, so let's get pumped for this match, because it's been a long time coming.

Went on a whole rant about DioPucci on Twitter so guess what my next post is about. Yeah, it's DioPucci. I hesitate to call this one an analysis just like I wouldn't really call the DiaDop one an analysis considering it's just me venting my frustrations about people being weird/difficult in the Jojo community but I will be talking about the "relationship" between Dio and Pucci and how I strongly disagree with shipping them. If you ship DioPucci, I'm not gonna go out of my way to harass you but I will unkindly ask you to please leave my blog and block me because you make me wildly uncomfortable.
First off, let's talk about that age gap, shall we? Putting Dio's 100 years of immortality aside, he was 21 when he used the stone mask in Phantom Blood and became a vampire, effectively solidifying his immortal age in his early 20's. Yes, he lived for 100 years after that, but that just makes him even older. In the flashbacks we see of Enrico Pucci meeting Dio, he was 15. Fif-fucking-teen. And then later on in the flashbacks of them talking as 'friends,' Pucci is still only around 17 and then Dio dies. At no point in the brief period when they knew each other was Pucci an adult. Would you be comfortable with a 15-17 year old in a relationship with (at MINIMUM) a 21 year old? I sure fucking hope not.
And keep in mind, this is ONLY if we're talking about the age gap and not, oh I don't know, the implication that Pucci was groomed by Dio for the Heaven Plan. And when I say this I beg of you to keep in mind that grooming doesn't inherently involve the end goal of romantic involvement. Grooming is any kind of manipulation at a young age to shape a vulnerable person's mental state into something that benefits the groomer- whether that be sexual involvement (which is what most people think of when grooming is brought up), romantic involvement (Another common assumption), personal satisfaction or pride (I hate to use this example just after she was released, but Gypsy-Rose is a good example of this, having been groomed by her mother into being helpless so that her mother could continue to take care of her just like her own mother did.), or other goals. Dio would fall into the latter category.
We know that in the Heaven Ascencsion Plan, Dio already had pretty much all the other pieces he needed. He had the 14 phrases (They were the lyrics to a lullaby his late mother used to sing to him), he had EASY access to the souls of 36 sinners what with his vampiric and stand abilities combined- not to mention the effective cult of devoted followers at his feet, though they were all picked off by the Crusaders in Part 3- of course he had his own stand so that one's a no-brainer. But the one thing he didn't have was a "trusted friend who is devoid of all earthly desires." Everyone Dio had surrounded himself with were sinners that craved some of kind mortal prize. Sex, money, love, power, etc. And Dio knew that he himself was no exception. His entire goal in all of his appearances throughout both Phantom Blood and Stardust Crusaders- AND in the Heaven Ascension Plan- was that he wanted power.
Do I think there was some capacity where Dio cared about Pucci? I think it's possible. But, I think that Dio would have had the exact same relationship with literally anyone else who fit the description for the Heaven Plan if he and Pucci never met. Pucci was a tool, no different than the 14 phrases written down in his diary. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Dio had been visiting churches specifically looking for priests and the like so he could find someone with "no earthly desires." Pucci just so happened to be the one that found him (tripped over him) and fit the bill.
Dio manipulated Pucci into becoming a "trusted friend" so that he could move forward with the Heaven Ascension Plan, and the only reason he gave Pucci his bone was both a failsafe and he believed that he might be able to be revived if he died. I don't think it was ever in his plan to let Pucci be the one to attain Heaven, I think that was just his last resort backup plan.
Am I saying that Dio sexually groomed Pucci? No, I'm not saying that at all. I mean, it's possible, but I don't think there's enough proof of that other than the fact that the two can be seen in a bed together and Dio has less clothes on than usual. But also it's the same amount of clothes he has on in the final moments of his battle with Jotaro. It's just his sleevless turtleneck without that gold jacket he normally wears, or he's shirtless. I'm not saying it's not true because I very well could be wrong and I haven't watched Stone Ocean in a hot bit, but also looking at Dio's character pre-Stone Ocean he didn't have any reason to sexually groom Pucci. If he wanted sex, he had a whole slew of minions in Egypt that I'm sure were more than willing to get his rocks off. Also, if he had sexually groomed Pucci, wouldn't that be entirely counterproductive to the whole "void of earthly desires" thing?
Also the only time we ever see him assault anyone in that way is that stolen first kiss with Erina in Part 1 but keep in mind that that was solely to piss off Jonathan and not because he actually wanted to kiss her. Also Jonathan, Erina and him were all the same age then. Dio is a villain, but given his character it just doesn't seem likely that he would have any motivation to coerce Pucci into a sexual relationship. And he's not above hurting kids as we saw with Kakyoin and his flesh bud and also the entire Dio v Jotaro fight, but that was with mind-control and physical altercation. And while we definitely see him where it's absolutely implied he's having mad vampire sex off-screen, it's always with adults. While Dio is a villain, I see no reason why he would sexually prey on a kid- especially one who, might I remind you, is supposed to be completely pure and rid of mortal desires such as sex.
I've been mainly focusing on Dio because he's obviously the one in power in this both from an age standpoint since he's a 100-year-old adult and Pucci is a 17-year-old at BEST, but also in terms of power since Dio was the one who gave Pucci his stand with the arrow and they talked about how Dio's stand is one of the strongest in the world (no pun intended). Pucci is at every disadvantage, so it would'nt make sense to victim blame him or accuse him of being the abuser here. In fact, I want to talk about his victimhood.
Not only was Pucci younger and weaker than Dio when they were first met, but they also just so happened to meet at a very crucial moment in Enrico's life. About a year after Dio and Pucci first met is when Enrico finds out about the truth that he and Wes/Weather are twins. This, of course as we see in canon, leads to some extremely unfortunate and stressful events that leaves Pucci without his beloved younger sister and sadled with the guilt that he was the one to blame for everything that happened. It's unclear if Enrico ever told Dio about all of this, but regardless he would've been in a fragile state, and that's when most groomers will swoop in and take advantage of that fragility and vulnerability and shape your mind and emotions to be favorable for them. I don't know if it's ever confirmed that Pucci told Dio about Perla and Wes, but nonetheless Dio would have noticed that Pucci wasn't in a stable state of mind.
This is likely where he put the idea into Pucci's head that Heaven could make things better than what he was experiencing; That if everyone already knew what would happen before it does, they could prevent it and avoid conflict and pain. In the ending of Stone Ocean, we see that this exactly why Pucci went through with the Heaven Plan even without Dio, because Dio gave him his own personalized reason to attain Heaven for Dio after he was gone.
Is Pucci innocent in general? Absolutely not, the whole thing with Weather and Perla was his own fault (and the woman who swapped Weather at the hospital) and at the very least in that respect, he's guilty. He could've handled that literally any other way but for some reason he got the fucking KKK involved and resorted to violence at first notice. Not to mention everything he does to the prisoners in Green Dolphin Street, including Jolyne and crew. But at least in this case, Pucci is very much a victim of grooming and manipulation. Did Pucci care about Dio? Absolutely. He holds Dio with a fondness, and there's no denying it. Whether that fondness is platonic or otherwise is not my decision to say since it's never explicitly confirmed, but he does/did trust and care for Dio and considered him a friend. But regardless of how he felt about Dio, Dio still groomed him and would've groomed literally anyone else had Pucci not been the one Dio found first. He wasn't hand-picked, he was simply whoever Dio first laid eyes on. And if Pucci didn't respond to the Heaven Plan the way he wanted him to, I'm sure Dio probably would've just killed Pucci and went looking for a replacement.
If you like DioPucci, like I said before I'm not gonna go out of my way to spend unnecessary time and effort and energy into harassing you but I will ask you to keep that shit far away from me. If you disagree with the points I've made, that's fine but again, I don't wanna see it anywhere near me or my blog. I'm not tagging this as DioPucci either. I'm not gonna invade that tag just for a rant on how I don't like them. But those are my thoughts.

not to be stone ocean brained but i adore the complexity it brings to jojo in a more direct way than anything before it. like pucci is the most obvious display of it since he's the first time we get an antagonist whose motivations we can understand and sympathize with even if we don't agree with his actions, a villain who isn't just evil for the sake of having a force the protagonists can fight again
but it goes much further than that with the main cast too, and we're given weather report whose character is given a 180 towards the end of the story and our perception of him as a "good person" gets challenged and questioned and toyed with before his untimely demise
we get anasui who is so unlikeable in so many ways and whose motivations are unbelievably shallow, and that makes you ask yourself why he is like that and forces you to think what the fuck is wrong with him, right to the end where he dies protecting his friends
we get foo whose entire character arc revolves around her identity and the question of what it means to be alive. a pile of plankton desperate to prove her intellect and superiority to humans just to be something more than her parts, whose life on this earth may have been the most fulfilling one out of her friendgroup
we get ermes and her dirty desire for revenge that drives her to commit crimes and eventually to murder someone just to have some closure, and in the end the implication of peace is there, that things are finally over, but rereading the end of the limp bizkit arc fills me with a sensation that it may have not been what ermes expected it to be. she derailed her life at a young age to get her revenge and she was allowed to have it, but did she ever think of what would come after it? what can come of her after it?
and there's jolyne and jotaro and the complexity inherent in both them as individuals and their relationship. the intention is that we read jotaro as a good person, someone who only wanted to protect his loved ones and still care about jolyne, and that jolyne forgives him once she realizes this, but it doesn't take that much digging to start finding cracks in the picture. because there's never any true closure when both of their lives end in a sea of emotions, neither of them ever addressing their hurt and their mistakes. because jolyne's mother is so very absent from the story and never visits her in green dolphin. jotaro cannot bring himself to express himself when reuniting with jolyne for the first time in years, not until he finds himself on the brink of death. jolyne's hurt cannot disappear as easily as we should believe it does. she only gets angrier as time goes by and the stakes get higher, and while she chases jotaro's discs because she does care it doesn't erase the anger that's been seething in her for most of her life
i don't know. it's just such a lovely development in writing when phantom blood gave us a comically evil villain and a protagonist whose kindness and goodness filed him smooth even if it made him something of a mythological hero the story could point back to later on. i adore it
#soda offers you a can#jjba#stone ocean#idk how coherent this is i was just thinking about this in the shower and it hit me again

so I just made a vague post about the ending of Stone Ocean and my Pain but
fuck because just
for almost the entire last three episodes I was able to handle it
It hurt. It hurt, but I was able to handle it. When Pucci was chasing them, when Anasui was donuted, when Jotaro died in the way he did in Diamond, the way Tohth had predicted all the way back in Stardust, when Hermes died, when Jolyne sacrificed herself to Emporio could escape-
It hurt, but it was in a strange way expected and on par with Jojo’s
But as Emporio ran through the halls of the Green Dolphin, sobbing and screaming and yet no matter how desperately he ran he could never outrun the priest chasing him..... it began to hurt more.
When he used Weather Report’s disk, which I had honestly forgotten about, the hurt was pushed back slightly by vindictive glee. Pucci would be destroyed thanks to his own power and because of the son of a woman he’d killed years ago. I wasn’t sure what would happen afterward, but I was happy that Pucci at least wouldn’t be able to hurt Emporio anymore and while they wouldn’t remember, the others were alive now
.......but then the universe reset a second time, and Emporio was back by the same bus stop where they’d begun the start of the final batch of episodes
I didn’t know where it would go. When the bus pulled up to the station, I didn’t think much of it
But then Ermes voice came from it.
And with a sinking, terrified dread I realized what was happening. I hoped it wasn’t true, prayed this boy wouldn’t have to experience this.....
But Ermes stepped off the bus. Anasui was by a car. Jolyne was sitting in the back. Every one with little details, with slight changes to their names, but still undoubtedly them and they were safe
And Emporio didn’t say a word. How could he? His first friends, his family, all who were dead were standing before him. And they didn’t know who he was.
But then Irene, Jolyne, his sweet, kind, caring sister in all but blood, offered him a ride and gave him her jacket.
She had no way of knowing what this gesture meant to him. She had no reason to. After all, all she knew was that this small, quiet child was standing alone without any guardians at a bus stop far away from the city in the pouring rain.
But to Emporio? To us as the audience??? We’ve seen nearly everything up to this point, saw how these two had saved each other’s lives countless times. The months upon months where the two bonded, laughed, interacted with each other and depended on each other. We knew the woman he called his older sister, and saw exactly how much those two loved each other
And despite not knowing him, she still showed him that same kindness
And at that moment I broke down sobbing with a smile on my face and laughs interrupting my cries
She still loved him. There was still hope. She didn’t remember him but she loved him
And when Roundabout started playing? Yeah I just started crying harder

🎃 ~ ~ Fall Event ~ ~ 🎃
the list of prompts below is from @mirclealignr and can be found here
Happy spooky season guys!! Since it's almost that time again, I wanted to hold a little event! I chose 23 prompts from the list and you just tell me a number and a character and I will write a fic for it! All requests should (hopefully) be done by Halloween!
Before we get in - RULES 🎃
The rules for this prompt are simple. Pick a prompt. Pick a character. That's it. HOWEVER! For ones that have costumes involved, tell me what costume you want (as the reader) to be wearing for Halloween! When a prompt is taken, I will cross it off and no one can request that prompt anymore.
ONLY ONE REQUEST PER PERSON!
But before you request, please check my blog rules (<-clickable link) to see the fandoms I write for and characters I will and won't write for. This is also a platonic and romantic event. So if you wanna request Chopper for trick or treating, that's fine. Specify if you want it to be platonic though (but usually, I will know based on age/character).
I hope that makes sense, but if you have any questions PLEASE ask me before requesting :)
Now the prompts 🎃
caught in the rain (Zoro)
crunching leaves (Joseph Joestar)
going to a pumpkin patch and coming home to carve it (Sanji)
trick or treating (Luffy)
watching scary movies (Johnny Joestar)
halloween party (Jolyne)
ghost stories (Buggy)
bookstore date (Pucci)
shopping for halloween costumes (specify what costume you want) (Crocodile)
"are you scared?" (Gojo)

"you've got leaves in your hair" (Gyro)
"do you want some hot chocolate?" (Doflamingo)
"did I scare you?~" "NO!" (Kidd)
"I bet you can't catch a leaf" (Helmeppo)
"I hate pumpkins" (Prosciutto)
"i forgot how cold it can get... here, take my sweater" (Mihawk)
"isn't this stuff for kids?" (Sanji)
"you're supposed to be quiet in a libary" (Arlong)
"stop playing around with the lights, it's not funny" (Kakyoin)
"your hands are cold" (Arlong)
"come on under the covers with me" (Buggy)
Keep checking back to see which prompts are taken! I will not close this event until every prompt is taken or until Halloween!
I hope you all enjoy this event and have a great fall! I have been waiting for this wonderfully spooky season and am so happy it's here.
Thanks you guys and stay safe and hydrated <3

🔥 (No specific subject I can think of so just uh. anything that comes to mind!)
Killing off the chapter 0 train gang wasn't a "waste" or "Kodaka being cruel and unkind once again", it was good I liked it it served it's purpose. We got stakes, we got the classic Kodaka rug pull (though much earlier in the game than usual), didn't expect it then again I did not expect like half the things that happened in this damn game, it established how much of a threat Amaterasu was and how far they could go if they wanted to right away so that's fine it was fiiiiine. You're just mad because you got attached to one of the characters there who were already dead from the moment you met them - I get it Aphex was my first love I internally screamed in anguish when we saw his charred corpse - the game would not be in any way improved had they lived, in fact the cast would be. Too big. You know. It's fun to think of AUs where they live and interact with the other cast and the like, (heyyyy shoutout to @loremaster's boba au i cannot state enough how much everything just fits in there) but, in the official game, it's way better for them to be dead in the prologue than live for like 5 more chapters. also, I raise you, absolute worst case scenario: pucci x yuma x kurumi love triangle
This ask was left on read for idk how long now lol lmao sorry this takes me huge amount of concernatio- concret- concet- contencratio- contentration you see. skill issue on my part😔😔 ok basically the ask game was people send me a fire emoji and (optional) subject like character ship etc and i answer with a hot take i have if i have one on it. so thats context👍👍

Jaune's Family: Grandpa (Other)
Weiss: And what makes you think I'd be interested in dating you?
Jaune: Uh, well, I want to get to know, because I think you're really pretty, and-
Weiss: And you want to date the heiress of the Schnee Dust Company, yes?
Jaune: I mean, if that's what you want to be, sure.
Pyrrha: (Shakes her head) Oh Jaune...
Jaune: What?
Weiss: Oh, I'm sure your family would love to hear how you managed to climb your way from low class to high class, wouldn't they? Rubbing elbows with Atlas' elites because you just so happen to be dating a Schnee!
Jaune: Uh, well, if we're being honest, the only one would be impressed by me "climbing my way" would be my grandpa, since that's what he did.
Weiss: Oh, and who is this grandfather of yours?
Jaune: You, uh, probably don't know him. He kind of keeps to himself in his castle.
Weiss: ...His what?
Jaune: His castle. He lives in a castle.
Pyrrha: Your grandfather lives in a castle?
Jaune: Well, he used to. Now he's just hopping from place to place because he's being hunted down.
Weiss: Oh, really? And what kind of criminal history is in your family name, Jaune Arc?
Jaune: He's a lawyer.
Weiss: ...
Pyrrha: ...Huh?
Jaune: That's what Mom says, but I think she just doesn't want to tell me what he really is.
Pyrrha: "What" he is? What do you mean by that?
Jaune: He's a vampire.
Weiss: Oh, puh-lease! There is no such things as vampires!
Jaune: I mean, he only visits at night, and he spends all day laying around in his room with black curtains. He also really doesn't like our house. He says it's "tacky".
Jaune: Plus, he told me so himself.
Pyrrha: Well, maybe he was telling a joke?
Jaune: No, he doesn't really tell jokes. He just makes really weird statements. Like this one time, when we were playing a board game, he said,
Jaune: (High society imitation, Wags finger) "Jaune, you lie about as well as a drunken husband caught by his wife after a night of debauchery and mischief!"
Pyrrha: That... certainly is an usual style os speaking.
Weiss: Obviously, he's lying. Psh! Really, a vampire? Next you'll tell me your uncle is a ghost!
Jaune: Well...
Weiss: Oh, stop trying to impress me! Don't you get it yet that it's useless?
Weiss: Useless, I tell you! Useless!
---------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, elsewhere...
Pucci: My lord, I've looked into that matter for you. It seems your suspicions about Jaune were correct. He's training to become a Huntsman.
Oho? Well, I suppose that's hardly surprising when you think about it. Jaune has always had a knack for getting into things that even slightly interest him.

Soooo what about the characters from Chapter 0 of Rain Code? In this Medieval AU? #4
-Zilch is the prince to the Fauna Kingdom
-Zange is the old, wise, and sometimes sassy general of their knight squad (I would say Captain to stay consistent with Yakou because they hold the same power in their respective kingdom but general sounds better for Zange)
-Melami makes clothing and her family is well known for the clothing they create (often pairs up with the Thunderbolt Family to trade their clothing)
-Pucci is part of a traveling band of Bards (she plays the flute)
-Aphex is the leader of a rag tag mercenary band who used to be just a bunch of bandits
Now some more info on each character!
Pucci plays the flute and has very innate auditory abilities which is why she likes music! Specifically the flute due to “how nice and smooth they sound” according to her. She doesn’t like to talk much and didn’t like other people talking as “people are loud and don’t sound pleasant to her ears”. She rather talks through music.
Melami’s family is very well known for their designer clothing they make. Melami herself is quite skilled at the craft too. However her style was quite different from the conventional. Her family looked down on her for it but her style was also well liked and is starting to spread its popularity as she started to share her clothing in the Chronos Kingdom (and other kingdoms with the help the Thunderbolt Family specifically Desuhiko)
Aphex was born into a noble house, but lost in all when he was very young due to a scandal revolving his family which made his family lose their status as a noble house. His family was now reduced to a disgraced family and it didn’t take long before his family was basically forgotten. Aphex left his family behind and turned to banditry, trying to make a name for himself. He’s torn on whether or not he should restore his house, but survival was more important. Part of him hoped he would come to be known as Karma for the downfall of his house.
Back when Aphex was a leader of a small bandit group, he would cause trouble and loot villages until Zange was dispatched to the village he was terrorizing recently. Zange easily beat them all despite being quite outnumbered and tried to get Aphex to become a knight and quit the bandit life. Aphex didn’t like that though. The stuffy, stuck up life was not for him and declined. But Zange didn’t want to waste this potential so he proposed that Aphex became a mercenary instead, training him to be even better in exchange. Life turns around for Aphex and he owes it to Zange. So now Aphex is the leader of a well known mercenary band and tries to do what Zange did for him and make others quit banditry.
Zange is loyal to Zilch and basically like raised him like a second son. Zilch sees him not much of a father but really respects him and will listen to his advice and such. Zilch has somewhat of a big ego as prince saying stuff like “I’ll allow it.” Zange has been trying to make sure he isn’t in over his head. But other than that he is a good prince and really cares for the harmony and balance of things in his Kingdom.
Chapter 0 spoilers underneath
So we all know they die right? Not in this AU!
Kanai Kingdom, hungry for power and territory, invaded the Fauna Kingdom and they were forced to surrender. However many people were able to escape before Fauna Kingdom was closed off and isolated as well. Of them was Pucchi and her bard band, Melanie, Aphex and half of his crew, and Zilch. Zilch was only able to escape because of the help of General Zange who helped fake his death. Zange decided to stay behind to look after the kingdom and Aphex asked some of his men to stay behind to help out Zange. It’s the least he could do after he helped Aphex. Those who escaped Fauna Kingdom fled to other Kingdoms. And these guys happened to stubble into Chronos Kingdom :)
Anyways that is all for now! Do feel free to ask or share your thoughts on this AU!
