tell the public (me, a fellow sopie) why you love sope so much? we all want the know!! and pls make as big as you want, today im in my yoonseok feelings
You ALL want to know?👀
The most honest answer to this question would be that I don’t know. I don’t know how it started, why it started- one day I just really loved Sope as a whole.
But to be fair i do have some thoughts on this. I started out as a Tae girl and along with him I started growing fonder of Yoongi as well until to the point when it was just Yoongi. I got myself deeper and deeper and deeper in the rabbit hole - got to know BTS more, got to know each member’s story and I found myself caring so much for this heart shaped boy named Hoseok.
I learned about his story - we all know it so I won’t go deeper into it because I will cry - and I just couldn’t help myself and unconsciously started caring for him so much more.
I found myself digging deeper for Sope content - found Hwagae Market and from that point on there was no going back. Their dynamic is something really special to me cause it reminds me of the one I have with my best friend. She always describes us two to strangers or new people as sun and moon, she always says while I am the moon and the night sky in her life that she needs, she is the sun and the daylight in mine that I need.
And Sope is that to me. I love the side of Yoongi Hobi brings out so much. Carefree, shy and happy. And I love that Yoongi can always make Hobi laugh and how endeared Hobi is whenever Yoongi does something so mundane like it’s the greatest thing in the world.
I love how Yoongi stayed with him for New Years, even tho they barely knew each other back then, because that’s just the kind of person he is and that’s how special their friendship is. He didn’t want the sunshine to leave Hobi so he stayed ans kept the lights warm in Hobah so they never died out and kept radiating in him. I believe that he is the warmest person today because Yoongi made sure to never let those lights go out.
I love whenever they talk about the things they did together in the earlier years they always do that with such fondness - I love that they used to do things together such as going out and watch underground rap performances and all… I love how it was so important to them.
I love how silly those two can be together up to a point where they made a whole performance together wearing shiny jackets and coming up with the funniest dance just because they can. I bet it didnt take much convincing from Hobi - Yoongi agreed easily. I love that they have this as something we will always remember of whenever we think about Sope.
I love Hwagae Market because it wasn’t JUST a name for their ‘show’ - if you know the lore its what connects Gwangju and Daegu together, that meeting point, the market 🥹 It’s so special and I miss it SO MUCH I WANT HWAGAE MARKET BACK 😔😔😔😔 I love how it was THEIR thing - how they just did whatever they came up with let that be try not laugh or playing the flute or sharing the same outfit or just talking…. It was utterly and completely a Sope thing that I will cherish forever.
I love how they bring out the best from each other, I love how in the end they are each other’s vitamins not just Hobi for Yoongi. Their dynamic is - how I like to describe it - a little bit of everything. Soft, because through soft actions they care for each other let that be going the mv shooting from making songs together and supporting each other to just making sure the other is doing okay and ate enough. Funny because lets be honest those two are HILARIOUS together. Uplifting - they make even the gloomy days happier and better for each other. Full of love and care.
Sope means everything good and happy to me. They are the ones you have to get to know well to understand who they are because they are so easily misunderstood and I relate to that a lot . You would say Hobi is always just loud and overly energetic and too much while he is really not. He is a very serious, very hardworking and very collected person, it just happens that he contains so many warm sunshine he doesn’t want to keep it all to himself so he decided to share it with us. You would say Yoongi is cold and emotionless but he is the kindest and gentlest and most caring person in this earth. And I will never stop proving this.
But most importantly
Even tho they had MANY hardships BOTH OF THEM stayed gentle.

L-Pop on Disney + ep4-6 Recap/Review
So legitimately this is one of my favorite shows Disney+ Latin America has done. Did not see that on my 2023 Bingo card!
Ep4 - It’s the qualifier episode so we get more performances this time which was a lot of fun and just what I was hoping for. Sweet Ji-Won making Andrea an ugly poster - they are just the dumbest and cutest. Ofc the group is being absolutely insane as they prep. We got Indra with her sage, Tomas trying to hug Ji-Won, and them memorizing capitals to calm their nerves. The sillies are so silly. I’m just honestly having a good time. And the they miss the cut …by 1!
Ep5 - Obviously they weren’t going to stay down for long. Absolutely dying at Tomás not showering for days so he can scrub thru the videos to find the other team that cheated to get disqualified. And then Hye-Jin using her wits to blackmail the competition lady so she actually would disqualify them. I’m just obsessed with this group. They’re all absolutely insane and lovable. I love how invested everyone is in Ji-Won and Andrea’s relationship too - as am I!! They’re so adorable also the fact that he’s always bringing her food to flirt I’m 😭.
The scene with them filming their music video!! First the hilarity of them trying to scale the wall when Indra walks through an open gate 😂 and then the MV was really good! The song kind of reminded me of Dynamite by BTS lmao. I’m curious if we’ll get these songs on Spotify they’re all stuck in my head now (ticky ticky toc toc) . Also props to the director keeping the Pablo bit going even when they were all running away from the cop and still blocking Pablo’s face with his camera 🤭
Ep6 - The big finale already and I’m just sad this is already ending. But Andrea convincing Sylvana to stay and encouraging the team by showing her talent show video and them all agreeing to call the team L-Pop why are they all so cute?! The vintage shop scene was adorable and the whole group getting caught watching Andrea/Ji-Won again, it never stops being funny. And I really love that Pau always encourages Andrea with K-Pop even tho it’s clearly not her thing 🥲 and just always shaking her head at the parents pushing her into dentistry. Ugh supportive sisters got me 🥺
Idk what’s going on with Diego, like is he supposed to be flirting with Andrea bc I can’t. Im so glad Ji-Won finally made his move tho!! But ah that cliffhanger — I need a s2 stat!
Anyway this show was just good vibes, good heart, cringey but proud! 10/10 highly recommend for anyone with any fan obsession that should get them institutionalized 😍

the archer theory about taylor swift coming out.
well, i've seen some people talking about this song and i had to listen to it again, since it's one of my favorite songs on lover and it also has to do with the theories and the meaning this song has to me.
i don't want to apply this to anyone so feel free to SKIP and NOT READ if you don't agree that this is a LGBTQIA+ song.
pure my own interpretation but you don't have to come to me if you don't like, she has a lot of songs and some of them are free for interpretations and they have different meanings to different people.
the first line it's:
“combat, i'm ready for combat / i say i don't want that but what if i do?”
this line to me has the deepest meaning and it comes along with the one in you are in love “and you will understand now why they lost their minds and fought the wars” and in ivy “this is the goddamn fight of my life and you started it” and both songs are before and after the archer which makes the archer in the middle.
the combat she's (maybe) referring to it's about coming out being (still) the american dream and the woman everyone looks up to when it comes to pop music, she says she don't want it but what if she does? what if she want to fight for it, fight for who she is and who she wants people to see that she really is? it's a combat because you can't come out if you're not ready to start a war against the world.
“cause cruelty wins in the movies / i've got a hundred thrown-out speeches i almost said to you”
cruelty here, to me, it's about how cruel it is to not have the story of your life in the big screen, like, we grow up seeing the bad stories about LGBTQIA+ couples and it's always about how they didn't end up together or how bad they are treated. the “speeches i almost said to you" looks like something she was ready to say to us, her fans, and she didn't had the chance or she wasn't really ready.
“easy they come, easy they go / i jump from the train, i ride off alone / i never grow up it's getting so old, help me hold on to you”
when i first saw the miss americana documentary, i highlighted that part where she is trying to convince her father and the rest of the team that it was a good idea/good move to speak up about the politics and the situation of the trump thing. and it was very hard for me to watch because it was clearly a bunch of old men that grew up and still have in mind their conservatory concepts that goes against what taylor wanted to tell her whole life, they were just trying to silence her and she decided to do it anyway because she is a grown woman and she never spoke up about those things before the reputation era.
the easy they come and easy they go line goes for the fans, they are always in and out and sometimes some of them never want to come back and stay because in the first bad thing that happens to her it pulls them away. she jumps from the train and ride off alone, the train maybe is about her life that never stops and she takes a break from it, the media, the relationships, the image she has in front of the whole world and she ride alone because there's no one in the world that could understand her more than herself. she never grow up when it comes to being more mature when it comes to some things and having the capacity to speak her truth, she's asking us to let her hold on to us when things go harder and when everyone else has left her.
“i've been the archer, i've been the prey / who could ever leave me darling, but who could stay?”
i fucking love this line so much because when you are a LGBTQIA+ kid growing up, you always has to fight against being the bad person and the good person, you grow up seeing in the news that you will die young and that there's people out there that will try to tell you that loving someone of the same sex is the wrong thing to do. being the archer and also the prey is like haunting yourself until you realize who you really are, you have that idea internalized in you, the homophobic jokes you grew up listening and you're also the target and it's like both sides of a coin. who could ever leave her for being a (bi, pan, lesbian) woman? who could ever stay if she's a (bi pan, lesbian) woman? it's like “who could stay in the darkest of the darkest times here with me because it looks like i am lost and i don't know where to go”
“dark side, i search for your dark side / but what if i'm alright, right, right, right here?”
the dark side is not the bad side like people point out, the dark side of someone is like when the moon is half shown and half hidden, and you can only see the part that's out for the light. here the dark side of taylor is the one she haven't showed to us, and to me this line is not about a potential lover but about herself. and this song feels like a mirror, so to me, she's talking to herself and trying to find her dark side in front of her own image. the sequence “alright, right” it's like the dark side saying “i am here and it's good”.
“and i cut off my nose just to spite my face / then i hate my reflection for years and years”
this fucking line is the deepest for me, because it's like, she cut a part of herself to looks like someone who she wasn't made to be, it reminds me of having to hide your true side in despite of being hurt or left aside. how many LGBTQIA+ kids and teenagers has to hide from their parents? we change our way to see the world, we lie to everyone about our love interestings, we hide in the closet and we don't face ourselves because this is not who we are and then we spent the rest of our life hating our reflection because we don't recognize this person but everybody loves this version we created, it's easy, it's very easy to love a straight person but it's the hardest thing to let a queer kid feel loved. it's very easy to not tell a straight person how to be but it's the hardest thing teach a queer kid how to love themselves.
“i wake in the night, i pace like a ghost / the room is on fire, invisible smoke / and all of my heroes die all alone / help me hold on to you”
she's s ghost to the people who live with her so she's not seen, everything is burning and there's an invisible smoke that's where she fades in, and all of her heroes, probably the queer ones that are dying everyday all alone and the ones who died were left alone in their final days. again she's asking if she can count on us to keep going if things go hard.
“i see right through me / they see right through me / can you see right through me?”
seeing through someone means that you see their true version, like if you're looking at their soul and they're so open that you can read anything. it's understanding someone and knowing someone inside and out. just like the lover mv where she's inside the fish tank, it's a metaphor for a thing that can be seen by everyone just like a mirror. and the delicate mv where she's not seen until she enters the bar and sees a person. she can see through herself and people are seeing through her but not in the way she wants to be seen and then she asks (for the fans?) if we can see right through her. could we fight the wars with her? be the shoulder for her to lean on? stay even when she's about to face the fight the biggest war of her life?
“all the king's horses, all the king's men / couldn't put me together again / cause all of my enemies started out friends”
king's horses and king's men also align with the chorus and the universe of being the prey in a world of men. also it can also be the world of a society that lives inside a bubble and cannot accept diversity. not even the men, (her father, team, men she dated?) could put her together again after all that she have been through, and it matches with the “i cut off my nose just to spite my face”. all of her enemies once were friends which implies that she can't trust anyone and as the song goes as (in my vision) a LGBTQIA+ letter to her fans, she's saying that there's no one that could handle this secret and she already tried to tell them but it ended wrong.
that's it. to me this song has a deep meaning and i couldn't put everything i wanted to in this post. also i just want taylor to know that there's a lot of sapphic connotations in her songs and i will always stay.

LOONAverse timeline theory (REDUX!)
Tumblr media
So... Yeah. This is something I’ve thought about doing for a while now. It’s been a little over a year now since I started getting into LOONA and analyzing the lore, and my views on the timeline have changed slightly.
Nothing major, but I still wanted to do an updated version of the timeline since now feels like a good point in doing so.
In the year since becoming an Orbit, I’ve used the theories of others as well as my own to get a better understanding of the story of the LOONAverse. This has led me to questioning and critiquing certain theories, and even going back and revising my previous views on the lore, and seeking out other interpretations to come to a new conclusion.
There are some theories from my old timeline analysis which I feel are outdated, since I no longer agree with certain points, and other elements which I want to bring more into question.
For those who may or may not know, I’m on the autism spectrum. And ever since I started listening to their music, LOONA has been one of my most recent special interests. I got hyperfixated on the story that was being presented, and I wanted to analyze all the pieces of the puzzle to get the bigger picture in my head.
With all that being said, let’s go ahead and get this started.
Part 1 - The [+ +] timeline
I think this is the part of the LOONAverse story we can get the clearest view on. This encompasses everything from pre-debut, starting with Heejin, all the way up to Hi High.
It was the first chapter, or the first major story arc of the LOONAverse. We were introduced to the characters of the 12 girls, the worlds they inhabited, their individual conflicts, and an established main goal: finding each other and breaking the loop, an enigmatic force that’s opposing them.
Here’s my breakdown of the timeline of events:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This isn’t a perfect charting of the timeline, since we can assume certain events overlap or run parallel with each other, or take place in a very close amount of time between each other.
Part 2 - The [X X] timeline
Just going to refer to this as the “new” timeline. I believe this is the current timeline we are in in the story, starting from “Butterfly”. This is where Go Won created a butterfly effect by going to Iceland, Haseul’s location, and changed events of the timeline.
For now, let’s assume that everything before love4eva/Let Me In still happens, since that is the point where Go Won changes the timeline. Here is what the new current timeline looks like:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because of Go Won altering the timeline, the events after love4eva/Let Me In never happen and certain events that occur in the [+ +] timeline have been altered.
ViVi doesn’t meet ⅓ and is still an android, though she presumably had found a way to become human again by “Why Not”.
Yeojin doesn’t get lost in the endless forest.
Olivia no longer resents Yves since she was not abandoned. Her journey to loving herself begins anew through “So What” and “Why Not”.
Odd Eye Circle has yet to reunite. However, we see that Choerry was with Hyunjin in “So What”, and the girls are rediscovering the powers of Odd Eye Circle in “Why Not”.
Part 3 - Updated theories
This is where I want to bring up some previous points I made in my last timeline analysis and how they have changed.
No one killed ViVi
Tumblr media
I am no longer sided with the theory that Olivia or any of the members were involved in ViVi's death. Instead, I think she could’ve become an android after an accident. (See my “How did ViVi become an android?” theory.)
Yves does not lure Yeojin into the forest
Tumblr media
I think something else might’ve happened that caused Yeojin to wander off, but I have seen a theory that Yeojin was in Eden and the “frog prince” she saw was Yves. I don’t think this was the case, since they have also said that the frog prince represents Yeojin’s “boyfriend” in the LOONAverse, but it’s an interesting perspective nonetheless. (Check out fairypinch’s video on Youtube.)
Side note: The “forest” that Yeojin has been described to be lost in has been referred to as the “endless forest” aka “the Moebius forest”.
I watched a video that was part of a “complete” lyrical analysis of LOONA’s discography (unfortunately, they’ve only done up to Olivia’s solo debut T T but it’s a very interesting watch regardless; the channel is Ross Kpop Stats.) and based on their theory, I think Yeojin could’ve heard a song calling to her and wandered into the forest.
Yves meets Choerry prime, not mirror Choerry
Tumblr media
Mirror Choerry cannot come into Choerry prime’s world; however, she can still communicate with Choerry due to her Odd Eye powers connecting her to the mirror world.
Tumblr media
I do still think, however, that Mirror Choerry did see Go Won, since she was upside-down and I previously theorized that what we saw in “One & Only” could be a dream. (See my dream interpretation analysis on Go Won’s MV.)
Olivia’s heart was not “swallowed”
Tumblr media
I’ve begun to think that Jinsoul’s rap in “Egoist” might not be referring to her herself “swallowing” Olivia’s heart. It might be Jinsoul acting as shadow Olivia (as I’ve theorized Olivia has a split personality; link here). Regardless, there’s still some significance that they chose Jinsoul for the rap.
Tumblr media
Also, she doesn’t wish for the other yyxy members’ hearts to merge with her. When we see her bite the apple in that same video, it is showing her finally decide to reject Eden and be free of it completely.
yyxy are not “one” as in they are literally one person; they are “one” as a unit and a part of LOONA as a whole.
No broken cassette tapes
Tumblr media
Loominosity debunked the idea that ViVi’s tape case was cracked; it’s just tree branches behind ViVi. (Link here)
Tumblr media
No diverging timelines either; The Carol 2.0 is just a cute holiday video with ViVi, Choerry, and Yves!
Everything from Butterfly to Why Not is one timeline
Tumblr media
Essentially, Butterfly showed us the catalyst of LOONA’s “butterfly effect” to change the timeline. We see the result of that in “So What”, which has many parallels to “Hi High”, and “Why Not”.
Tumblr media
I’m also beginning to theorize that Heejin actually jumped forward in time. She could’ve temporarily escaped the loop (as we see in the #1 teaser) and fell back into “So What”.
Tumblr media
This also means that Go Won would retain her memories of the previous timeline, while everyone else has forgotten them.
I’ll admit, a lot of my old ideas felt like reaches since I was still learning about the lore. Now that I’ve spent time becoming more familiar with the group and their music, I think I’ve come to a clearer vision of the story.
So with all of that said, here is my new breakdown of the current storyline...
Tumblr media
The LOONAverse started out as stable, but then something caused it to become unstable. This resulted in the universe becoming a Moebius strip, separating three worlds (Earth, Middle Earth, and Eden), and creating a time loop.
We don’t know when or how this happened; all we know is that the loop exists and it is a force that is preventing LOONA from reaching their goal.
Tumblr media
At some point, Odd Eye Circle was formed with Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Hyunjin, and were given the powers of the Odd Eye.
Tumblr media
In Eden, Yves finds and eats the forbidden fruit, where she’s given knowledge of her fate and of the loop. She decides to rebel and travels to Earth, where she meets ViVi.
Shortly after, however, ViVi gets in an accident, nearly dies, and is converted to an android, where her memories get messed up and she forgets Yves.
Tumblr media
Hyunjin receives a mysterious bracelet from an unknown sender, and tries to search for answers.
Tumblr media
Odd Eye Circle finds the cherry that can send them to Earth. Jinsoul leaves one for Choerry, and when she eats it, she and Hyunjin switch places.
Jinsoul decides to go to Earth to look for Hyunjin, and meets Olivia Hye. She gets trapped on Earth and loses her powers and memories.
Tumblr media
Heejin, a normal girl in Paris, is bored of her repetitive daily routine and wishes for her life to be filled with color. In search of some excitement, she decides to go travelling.
Tumblr media
Two of Yves’ friends in Eden, Chuu and Go Won, decide to reject Eden and join in her plans to escape to Earth. They meet Kim Lip, who was searching for Jinsoul, and it’s revealed Go Won made the bracelet that was sent to Hyunjin.
Tumblr media
Now, Hyunjin lives in Tokyo, with no memory of the Middle Earth or Odd Eye Circle. She meets Heejin and the two become friends. They both befriend Haseul and Yeojin, who are like sisters. ViVi meets Jinsoul in Hong Kong.
Tumblr media
During Christmas time, Haseul finds Chuu when she first fell from Eden and wakes her up.
Tumblr media
Haseul then has a dream where she finds and kills her doppelganger.
Tumblr media
Yves, Chuu, and Go Won escape from Eden, leaving behind Olivia Hye, who feels resentment and anger for being abandoned.
Tumblr media
ViVi meets Heejin, Hyunjin, and Haseul, and eventually becomes human. However, they learn Yeojin has wandered off into an “endless forest” and went missing, so they cast a spell of love to find her.
Tumblr media
Olivia Hye falls to Earth, and learns to love herself and let go of her anger. She then meets Heejin after she went into the endless forest and learned about the loop. She convinces Olivia to join the others on Earth, and eats the forbidden fruit to be free of Eden.
Tumblr media
Jinsoul regains her powers and memories, and Kim Lip senses Choerry and pursues her. They revitalize their powers during an eclipse and learn of the loop.
Tumblr media
Kim Lip helps Choerry find the mirrors where she awakens her powers, connects with the mirror world through her reflection (her shadow/mirror world counterpart), and learns of the loop. They reunite with Jinsoul to merge their moons and complete the Odd Eye Circle.
Choerry meets Yves when she first fell from Eden and helps her escape by meeting Go Won in her dreams and leaving the roses for them in the forest.
Tumblr media
After all the girls gather together on Earth, they try to break free of the loop, but fail as the time loop resets.
Tumblr media
In order to change the events of the timeline and break the loop, Go Won stays behind in Eden while Olivia takes her place. She then goes to the dreamworld/mirror world to stop Haseul from killing her doppelganger and changing her fate.
Tumblr media
Due to Go Won’s butterfly effect, the timeline begins to change. Heejin temporarily breaks out of the loop before falling back in and chaos ensues. The girls start a rebellion in their efforts to break free. They see the moon burn and meteors fall to Earth.
Tumblr media
After the chaos, the Odd Eye Circle members start to regain their powers, and the group holds a midnight festival in celebration for the rise of a new moon.
...
And there you have it! Like I said, this may not be perfect, there are definitely parts of the story I want to re-analyze, and I’m sure whenever LOONA make their next comeback, it’s going to lead to some very interesting developments.
But I also wanted to do this since some of my theories have changed. The LOONAverse is so fascinating because it can lend itself to so many different theories and viewpoints, that it even challenges the viewer’s own thoughts on the story.
I hope you guys found this interesting. Feel free to share your own thoughts and opinions as well! Have a good day and, as always...
Stan LOONA! 🌙✨

A Unifying Theory of Loreography (Lore + Choreography)
(2/3/21) HELLO to all new folks finding this post! It is also now a YouTube Video, and I’m pretty happy with it so if you’d rather get your lore analysis visually please check it out!
Preface: I don’t think it’s just coincidence that we got full choreography for an intro called “Devil is in the detail”, and I’ve made it my mission since 반박불가 dropped to pull apart the threads that might link everything, lore-wise. This morning I believe I had an epiphany about it, so here are my thoughts.
If this flops I will feel my soul exiting my body so please validate me.
Notes: In forming this theory I mostly considered the events of the storyline MVs and teasers as well as the choreography, but a very important part of my epiphanies came when considering the post-MV stingers for TBONTB and 반박불가. It’s using these stingers that I feel like I can better understand the thesis statements in the choreo.
Part One: Now then, where were we?
At the end of TBONTB, the monarchs are approaching monumental, pitch-black gates made of skulls and desperate, reaching hands.
Tumblr media
I can’t not interpret this as the gates of Tartarus, considering the Greek mythology in the canon lore already. Tartarus, however, is at the lowest depths of the underworld, and so my interpretation is that, while they reclaimed their souls from the necklace, they awoke physically in a realm beyond the underworld, and now have to make their way out of this psychological nightmare to breathe free the air, as it were. Through Tartarus, through Hell, this is not because I played 80 hours of Hades in the last three months but it might have a little to do with that. Stay with me. (Though if anyone is wondering, YES Leedo would be Zagreus, but that’s not why we’re here today)
Part Two: Devil is in the Detail
Tumblr media
What an opening formation. The imagery is not 100% clear to me, but I feel as if this entire opening formation sequence is dual-wielding imagery of a crown (much like the killing part of TBONTB), but also the gates of Tartarus.
Tumblr media
Look at this transition once Hwanwoong ascends to the top of the formation, and how the hands all come out, similar to the gates above. I’ll be damned if this is supposed to invoke anything else.
Tumblr media
Rewinding a bit, this framing of Seoho being resuscitated and borne by their hands is stunning. Seoho’s journey in the TBONTB choreography merits its own post entirely, because there are a lot of moments that seem to be telling a story for him particularly, and this is just a continuation of that.
Ravn and Leedo being separated for the rap line part seems like an obvious utilitarian choice, and I agree that it is. However, before we prepare to dismiss all “pairings” as serving the progression of the song itself, I have another theory that ties together a lot of the inciting moments of choreo. I promise you this is going to sound like A Reach, but that’s just how my mind works and if you enjoy it I’m glad.
Leedo, Hwanwoong, and Xion are the monarchs who have absolved themselves by the events of 반박불가, and fully reclaimed their souls as well as their conscience. Seoho and Ravn, not so much. They have a lot of work to do to free their conscience - especially Seoho. Oh, lord, especially Seoho. Keonhee is an extremely interesting case, as he seems to have a foot firmly in both sides, More on that later.
For further paranoid conspiracy theorist proof of this, please note that their outfits in the choreography videos symbolically reflect this:
Tumblr media
Light, Light, Light/Dark, Dark, Dark/Lightish, Light
If you need more convincing, may I point out that Leedo, Hwanwoong, and Xion are the only members who got those wonderful “all clothed in white” shots in the back half of the 반박불가 MV? I tried to make a gif, and I did make a gif, but Tumblr doesn’t want to post it in this text post.
Tumblr media
(you rn)
The most interesting moments of loreography in DiitD are the following:
Tumblr media
1. These lotus hands. Again, the imagery, I die!! Keonhee is coming into his own, his character is blooming, expanding his consciousness, going sicko mode with the realization that he has power in the underworld.
Tumblr media
2. Directly following this, Seoho offers a hand to Keonhee and literally drags him down (again, the light/dark dichotomy of Keonhee), while the two good good boys Hwanwoong and Xion are back there just trying to maintain balance so they can get through this Hell/Tartarus thing.
Tumblr media
3. Good ol’ ONEUS Summoning Circle, but wait this time I think it’s actually meaningful beyond the imagery. Seoho is at the center because he has the vocal line, yeah obviously, but he stays there much longer than is objectively necessary without a formation change. This isn’t common in ONEUS choreography. As much as they love their Summoning Circles, they tend to move on to other formations quickly. This one has meat on its bones, and I think what’s happening here, loreography wise, are the other monarchs banding together in an attempt to save Seoho from the darkness. But Seoho is powerfully dark, y’all, even going so far as to overpower them in the moment above.
Tumblr media
4. This is flame imagery. Seoho has been engulfed in flames despite everyone’s best efforts.
Tumblr media
5. At the last minute, he gets yeeted via backflip back into Hell/Tartarus
Tumblr media
6. Keonhee takes the initiative in going back for him...
Tumblr media
7. We’re back in Hell, that’s just great. Thanks, Seoho. You’re lucky we love you and your extremely disturbed conscience.
With this in mind, you can probably get way ahead of me, here.
Part Three: 반박불가
Perhaps not remarkably, the title track doesn’t have nearly as many loreography beats as DiitD. However, we know it’s part of the lore, and this was made abundantly clear simply with that opening move...
Tumblr media
This is where we left off TBONTB, but not exactly. There is a slightly different formation of dancers here, which suggests it’s not picking up exactly where TBONTB left off, but rather that this is a cue to let casual fans know, explicitly: yes, this is a continuation of the TBONTB story.
Some moments don’t have choreography allusions, but they are loud in the MV, such as:
- “Youngjo, would you stop playing with flowers, our lead vocalist is going to Hell.” Ravn, who barely scraped out of Hell last time, ostensibly with Leedo’s help according to the rap line break in the choreography, has a rough time of it in the 반박불가 MV, but Hwanwoong isn’t going to let him fall back into toxic behaviors and lose himself to that psychological prison again. Hwanwoong drags Ravn back out of Hell, but not before Ravn successfully makes contact with Seoho. Obviously, Ravn would be the one to make contact, because Ravn’s still a little on edge about his own conscience and can easily backslide if he wants to. Who does he find down there? Seoho.
- Keonhee, who led the charge to return to Hell, is staying on task but seems to be the chief of operations to Hwanwoong’s chief of intelligence here, exercising his newfound sicko mode. Those two are certainly working hardest at keeping the servants of darkness in check down in the depths so they can make a quick break for it.
- Leedo’s actually having a grand time fighting his own demons - or rather, smirking at them and realizing that nah, he’s good. He can use his guilt and regret to motivate him towrd good things now.
- Xion is literally just above all of this and can move between Hell and Earth with ease, so he’s just waiting to see if he has to pull any Fallen God-Prince cards here to save his friends.
Now, for the key loregraphy moments. It’s obvious that 1Million was choreographing for a new direction in the ONEUS style, here, so it’s nearly bereft of the usual lyricism and formations, but they’re definitely there. Unsurprisingly they almost all deal with Seoho.
Tumblr media
1. God, this moment whips. They’re all working to free Seoho and lock the gates behind them, with Keonhee giving Seoho one final push. That’s not a normal choreography move. That is storytelling and it sticks out like a beautiful sore thumb with an entire sonnet written on it.
Tumblr media
2. With Seoho on lock, now Ravn may break out. He does so rather easily, but it’s not without Hwanwoong’s help. Please notice that Keonhee and Seoho are the two BEHIND him, and what that symbolizes.
Tumblr media
3. This fucking bridge. It’s amazing with the loreography. First of all we have Keonhee, and the Summoning Circle is using the same imagery/texture that was formerly used to represent engulfing fire. Uh-oh.
Tumblr media
4. Keonhee reaches out...
Tumblr media
... but gets dragged under.
Tumblr media
5. (excited football commentator voice) but who’s that on the outside making it to the surface, literally with the support of the other monarchs? IT’S SEOHO (cheers)!!
And Seoho finishes things out in the center, as well he should because he got us into this mess.
Part Four: What just happened to Keonhee
Tumblr media
I’m so angry at this post-MV stinger. It took me forever to wrap my brain around what is being suggested here, because I thought “hey wait, the red lighting represents darkness/hell, doesn’t it?? DOESN’T IT?? RBW???? I thought we just GOT OUT OF HELL????
So I leave the final interpretation in everyone's individual hands, but the thought that occurred to me today was:
What if this entire scenario was a test of resolve and camaraderie, an illusion, a trick by the Devil (or that donger Helios, whatever). What if Keonhee was the only one who saw through this, and the only one who genuinely made it to Earth at the moment he appeared to have been dragged back to Hell? Because, as we know, Keonhee is a tactical genius, a monarch among the monarchs, and all his visual imagery in the MV suggested a sort of power cabal.
What if he realized that they weren’t all strong enough to face the challenge of breaking this cycle, so he schemed to leave them behind, but leave them safe in the illusion, while he struck out with the power of God and anime on his side.
I... I think Keonhee is about to go kill and dethrone a God, y’all.

Double Knot theory
this might be completely wrong, sorry lol it took me the whole day to come up with this, my head hurts lol
Alrighty peeps, here I am again with another attempt in trying to understand what’s behind the minds of SKZ when it comes to concepts, so I’m gonna analyze Double Knot on my yeezys after watching several times all their MVs (yes, I’m crazy lol). I’m not gonna be able to put pics of everything here cause tumblr sucks sometimes, but you can check the MVs to see what I’m talking about in case you don’t remember or didn’t notice. BARE WITH ME CAUSE THIS IS GONNA BE A LONG RIDE!
Starting with District 9 (where it all began), we have Mr. Bang Chan (the one in charge of their duties, therefore the leader) that sees a red flower and realizes that something is not right because if everything is monochromatic, how can there be a red flower? A glitch? An abnormality in their reality?
Tumblr media
I think that the flower is a Poisenttia, but I don’t understand much of flowers, so I might be wrong. But if it’s really a Poisenttia, it could mean that the flower is pointing them to “salvation” since, according to Google, this flower is used during Christmas to symbolize the star of Bethlehem which led the Wise Men to where Jesus was born. So maybe the flower is showing that there’s a way out of this controlled reality they’re in? Maybe... (or maybe the flower will lead them to the big boss).
Moving on, Chan runs away to find that one of the drones that was watching them has crashed with a glass (?), making him place his hand on the panel that is projecting their world, and it wobbles (idk), meaning that they’re in a fake reality (everything is not what it seems!!)
Tumblr media
Chan then hands out red papers with an encrypted message (I tried really hard reading what was on it, but it looks like and alien language or sth) to all SKZ members and they all get inside the bus (I’ve always wondered who’s driving the bus…) to break free from that reality and they enter another reality, a post-apocalyptic one, kinda lol, which is District 9 and they think they rule it cause they raised their flags there (but they’re not the ones in control, sorry boys)
And at the end we see the Stray Kids logo with black letters and the K in red. My mind went crazy and thought: S T R A Y K I D S = 9 letters, but one is different. > 9 boys, but one is different. Who? I think is Hyunjin because he’s the only one that looks at Chan after receiving the paper to escape and because he’s the one that the camera shows right after we see their logo on the floor lol So what I take from this is that Stray Kids now has become a glitch in their perfect system, but Hyunjin is not completely okay with it.
Moving on, in Mirror (not Miroh) we have Hyunjin alone in a room with 9 chairs, which I think that while the others left, he stayed behind. He’s writing on a piece of paper: who am I? where am I? I am not me (and the pencil dramatically breaks). They repeat several times “I don’t even know who I am, I just came along as they told me to” so I’m assuming Hyunjin is the one who’s still lost while SKZ is trying to break free, and maybe he’s having a hard time trusting Chan cause in the end Chan and Hyunjin are facing each other (don’t fight boys lol).
Tumblr media
And I say that Hyunjin is the different one by watching subtle things in other MVs (like Voices, MIA, My Pace...) in which the scenario changes suddenly when his part comes, or when it doesn’t glitch as much as the others, etc., which makes me believe my theory that he’s the odd one, the one that actually doesn’t want to be part of the group.
May I add that in My Pace they’re all stepping on red pamphlets on the floor that says “Just stay in my lane”… and they’re not staying in their lane anymore? (you can’t control SKZ trying to take over the system).
Tumblr media
Now we move on to I Am You MV which is the sequel to My Pace, right? So we see them after glitching a lot in My Pace and they’re still being watched, but now Jisung breaks a surveillance camera lol and they move to another post-apocalyptic scenario cause, let’s be honest, who would live on that rooftop with drawings of a couch and a plant if it wasn’t for the end of the world? But what called my attention was the fact that we see Jeongin’s reflection on a puddle and we see two moons (hi Side Effects and Double Knot), they’re on the move on a truck instead of a bus, and we have an interesting scene with Chan and Jeongin’s reflection becoming one (so they’re indeed in this together), but what about Hyunjin? Well, we see him assembling something like a bat-signal that has SKZ logo on it as if he’s now calling for them…but by the end of the MV their logo still has the K as the odd one out.
Tumblr media
So what’s all this about? In my weird mind, Chan discovered that they were living a lie, being controlled and told what to do and decided to break free from all of it, and while the others seem to agree, Hyunjin isn’t fully convinced about it. Maybe he’s scared? He doesn’t know who he actually is, since they all seemed to be in a mind controlling environment being watched 24/7, so he’s lost. The albums go like this in the storyline I’ve created in my mind: I Am Not = I’m not who I think I was, my life has been a lie; I Am Who = who am I? everything is a mess while I’m searching for my own self at my own pace; I Am You = I’m a glitch just like you.
NOW WE MOVE ON TO THE CLÉ SERIES!! (I swear to God SKZ is trying to give me a headache cause I’ve never used my brain this much before in my life lol)
In Miroh (not Mirror lol) we all know now that they are trying to overtake the system. They were able to enter the surveillance room and find those who they thought were controlling them. There’s some signs I was able to check in Miroh during the parade (that I haven’t noticed before) that are quite interesting. The first one says “There is no Tarzan in City Jungle”. Tarzan is considered a wild man, someone who’s not behaving the way society demands since he was raised in the jungle among animals. The other signs say “Something happened, nothing changed” and “The world is the same”, so I’m assuming that society is celebrating the fact that the faulty/glitched ones (the “Tarzans” aka SKZ) are long gone now – since District 9 –, and everything is back to normal with everyone behaving like they should and the system functioning perfectly, but they don’t realize that SKZ figured their way into the City Jungle (aka the central part of the system) and are gonna make a mess in it lol
I have already analyzed Side Effects (you can check it here), but I’m gonna go even crazier now and assume that Side Effects is also them being chased by the “boss” after what they’ve done in Miroh, and they have to follow unlocked roads in order to lay low and not be captured. Maybe that’s why Hyunjin is the nervous one in the MV, fighting Seungmin (cause he’s about to register with a camera where they are and what they’re doing) and Felix (who wants to leave the cart, their ‘safe’ zone), because he didn’t want to be there in the first place. His lines in the song shows he’s afraid and doubting himself.
But at the end of Side Effects, Hyunjin is now converted to SKZ’s cause, if that makes sense. After everything they’ve gone through, everything that happened in Miroh and the other MVs, he’s finally part of the group. So Chan, as the leader, reaches out to him, and Hyunjin accepts, leaving a key behind – which I think might be what he was holding onto since District 9 (cause they all had separate rooms in that ‘prison’ and that key looks like a regular room key and not one of the fancy keys that show up on Double Knot). Now they’re gonna walk their path as a unit, not individuals.
Tumblr media
Alright, that being said, I’m gonna move on to Double Knot. In Double Knot we see them walking on a road that looks almost exactly like the one they’ve been staring at in Victory Song in a city with two moons, so that means that after running a lot in Side Effects, they’ve reached their destination = the city. 9 fancy keys appear on top of some maps, so I’m assuming everything is complete now. We see an Astronaut billboard and we also have “take off” being showed in a bracelet, a ring, a necklace, and on the road. I’ll comment on those two later.
Right, so here comes the fun parts of this analysis. When Jisung (?) ties his laces, the ground becomes glitched as if something (aka SKZ) is interfering in the system (we can see signal written, so it means ‘no signal’ or ‘error-signal’).
Tumblr media
And now EVERYTHING STARTS TO MAKE SENSE! Because SKZ now knows that since everyone is in this together after Hyunjin decided to join them in Side Effects, they can play with the glitches! Let me try to explain it better: after watching this MV and the others, I now see their concept kinda like Wreck It Ralph, if you know what I mean lol They’re not where they were supposed to be and they’re glitching inside a world that’s being projected to them, a fake world in which someone is in charge, but they broke free from that control, so now that they’re complete as a unit, they can be like Vanellope and play around with the faulty system that can’t handle them, meaning that they’re free and can go anywhere, change from one to another, lag the system and confuse the hell out of whoever is still trying to stop them.
Tumblr media
This MV has more glitches and interferences than any other one, so it probably means they’re closer to the end than before. I don’t know if they’re trying to reach the main core or anything like this, but I do believe that this is not the end for them, I still think that there’s a final boss even after Miroh... but this is just me guessing lol
Tumblr media
Minho, Jeongin and Seungmin see that they’re still being watched by a drone (kinda like District 9) and they’re recognized by the system (can you see their names on the side of the screen right below Stray Kids?), maybe the system is trying to get rid of the glitches?
Tumblr media
Hyunjin is running alone on the street until he reaches a crossroad (now he doesn’t have to choose which road to take, he can go anywhere) and then after running some more he finds a key with the SKZ logo on the floor. This key is the same key that Chan uses to unlock the Yellow Wood on the elevator, btw, and the same key that we see him trying to open the white door with; the same door that Chan peeks through the key hole and sees himself and the SKZ on the sky, somewhat in a heroic kinda pose, right?
Tumblr media
“ERROR-SIGNAL” shows up at the end when they’re all together, and we see that the Stray Kids logo is now all white (they’re all the same now). At the end, there’s blue while we see the interferences, which I think is because they’re gonna go up to the sky in Levanter.
THEY’RE GONNA TAKE OFF TO THE MOON!!! or not lol mark my words: Stray Kids everywhere all around the UNIVERSE! the world is too small for them now! The MV also shows “the owners of Clé”, meaning that they’ve learned how to make the system work for them now. GO, STRAY KIDS!
Tumblr media
Something weird that I noticed while watching the MVs is that they’re always on rooftops (in Victory Song, Voices, I Am You, Miroh, etc), as if they’re trying to reach higher than that, but can’t or don’t know how to yet. They need an Astronaut to help them Take Off (see what I did here?), and I believe that the answer is behind the white door that Chan is about to open. Now I have no idea who or what might the astronaut, or what’s behind that door, but I hope we get more answers in Levanter.
Wow, I think I wrote a lot and there’s still much more that we can talk about this MV and SKZ’s concept. Maybe I’m dead wrong, but this is how I interpreted the story, so feel free to discuss your ideas with me if you want to~
STRAY KIDS MAKE ME PROUD AND THAT’S ALL THAT MATTERS ♥️

Uturn : bts ot 7
Summary : Living with the boys for months wasn’t tha bad. You started feeling to attach with them so did they. However, one day everthine changed. You arrived their dorm and opened the door. Little do you know, you crossed the boarder back to the start.
Tumblr media
Author POV.
“Hi guys, I’m back.” You walk through the door with some grocery bags. Today you and the boys plan to have mini party after they won and set new record.
‘Why is it so dark in here?’ You look around the room. Carrying the grocery bags, you continues to walk along the corridor to find them. The second thing then come across your mind.
Their dorm get smaller and it can’t be possible. You hear the sound. It is so loud like they’re arguing on something. Living with them for months, you’ve already familiared with this situation. You reach the door and decide to open. Checking is them whether the arguement has gone too bad.
“Guys, is everything al..right?” All 7 gazes now are looking at you. They are staring at you like predetors.
Something must gone wrong. You notice the last thing yet most important one. This is their dorm, yes. This is BTS, yes. But this isn’t right.
“Who is she, hyung?” Jungkook turn around and ask something to Jhope. Yoongi and Namjoon, on the other hand, stare at you. Taehyung looks alert with the situation. Jin prepare his phone to call someone.
                                                     ‘Not this again’
You don’t know how long you have staying in this position. Sitting on the chair while 7 of them asking question and Namjoon translate for you to answer. You start feeling tired and your patient start running out.
“For god sake, I say I know you before. Yes, I am your fan. No, I’m not a paparazzi or gossip news agency or sassaeng. I just came here becuse we knew each other and today I supposed to have a party with you guys, but now I’m here. Crossing back through a stupid door and lead me back to you guys. Get it?”
You rant out everything. You are now frustrate not because of them. It is because you cross the door which lead you back into your own time again. Eventually it also put you into a wrong place again too.
“How..believe..you?” Taehyung ask with his struggle in english.
“Wanna bet?”
“What bet?” Now Yoongi is the one who talk.
“If I can tell you the song that you are planning right now and also the concept. You need to believe me.”
“If not...” Namjoon ask.
“You can send me to the police officers.”
“Deal!” All of them agree.
“How can this possible?” All of them giving you a disbelief look.
“Maybe she is the new employee, hyung.” Jimin speak.
“Okay we believe you so what next?”
“Well, I was thinking we should party. However, hearing your noise from arguing, I suppose we should clear that problem first.”
"So… what happened?" You ask and they look at each other. They don't want to tell them since they don't trust a stranger.
"I know you guys are arguing on something, but most the time you will sort it out. I just want to know if I can help you with this one."
"No, she can't know that we are going to disband Hyung."
"Well, what should we tell her then?" Jin ask Jimin who is showing a panic look.
"I don't understand stand what you guys said, but judging the Jimin's face, it is a worse case."
"I think this is going to be the first and last party for us with you" Namjoon speak without realising what he has just said.
"Don't tell me you…"
"...going to disband." He finishes the sentence.
“What?!?!?!?”
Y/N POV.
It has been hours and we still dicuss about the issue. I could see how upset they were upset, but they couldn’t do anything. The company has decide already that they should leave and the company should finally close.
“Why don’t you convince them? I believe your fans will also not happy and stand up for you.”
“Because there is no one stand for us.”  Taehyung speak with a sad voice.
“What did he said?” I ask Namjoon.
“Read this and you’ll understand.” I grab the ipad and start reading. There are hate comments all over the sites and social media.
‘Wierd’ Is the first thing I thought. I thought I am now arrive in my time. However, this prove me my thought was wrong. Wait? Don’t tell me that I come across the day when they decide in another dimension and they decide to leave for this one?
“No, I won’t let this happen.” All of sudden, I burst out my anger and there is no particular reason.
“Hyung why are we still listening to this woman here?”
“Calm down Kook, we also needed to find out she arrive here.” Jimin try to calm Jungkook down because he also get angry. It must be me who trigger him.
“And how..will you help?” Yoongi ask with a dead serious face.
“I will prove this industry and to the world that you guys can be famous.”
After that day, I come up with a huge idea. The idea that actually dangerous for me. If I mess this up, this timeline is going to be ruin because of me. ‘Deep breathe and go.’ I start walking inside Big hit building.
“What can we help you miss?”
“Uhh... I don’t speak Korea, but I just want to come here for an appointment.”
“Oh sorry miss and you are?” The worker changes his language and asks.
“Y/N, bts friends.”
“Woh I finally get to meet PD like for real?” I question myself.
“You arrive, take a seat first.”
I nervously bow to him before take a seat. I feel like my heart is going to rib out of the rib cgaes and my nerves is on fire. He start asking why I am here and our discussion start from there.
“Miss, I understand how you want to support your friends. However, this is a huge issue and I have made a final decision already. I can’t handle the loss anymore so I need to quit this.”
“What if I prove you wrong?” ‘When did I get this bold?’ I actually challenge him when I’m just a fan who know nothing about music industry.
No, I actually learned a lot during I was with them in the other timeline. I know how can I work this out and handle this. I tell them that I will prove everyone wrong and make them become famous. I won’t break that vow.
Me and him start arguing. We discuss one every single thing, even though, he tries to end this industry and I don’t agree with the idea.
The next day
“Guys you have a meeting today and you all will come with me!” I speak with the happiest voice ever.
“No we aren’t going to anywhere.” Yoongi speak with his cold voice, but I don’t understand a thing.
“I don’t know what you say, but I don’t care. You guys need to come with me and that’s final.” Now it is Yoongi’s turn to frown. The maknaes try to supress their laugh, but couldn’t. I make sure to drag all of them into a van and leave the dorm.
The meeting is going smoothly. PD explains everthing. Telling the boys about their concept and what we are going to do. I note down everything and suggest some ideas, which are from those timeline, up to the board.
“I don’t think this will work when most people hate us.” Namjoon speak and show the most upset look you could imagine ever.
“I also plan for that as well. Be ready fpr what is coming.” I smile.
3 years later : Author POV.
Everything is getting better and better. The hate die down and replace with love. Their fan base keep growing and finally they become a domination to other country that isn’t Korea as well.
Your effort has paid off bit by bit. The boys are happy as ever. Every time they attend the events, concerts or even a small interview in foreign countries, they always feel excited and don’t want to believe this is real.
“Guys your comeback is in 2 weeks time so be ready alright?”
“Yes miss.” They answer in unison. These 2 years also prove them a lot of thing about you. They finally accept you as apart of their family.
“Rest if you need to, talk when there’s a problem and...”
“Take care yourself and others. We are a family.” You smile.
“Great so get back to work!”
They work really hard. Jhope live in the dance studio temporary to perfect his dance. Yoongi and Namjoon live in their studio. Sometimes they might decide to meet up and stay up for a day or 2 to recreate the songs. Making sure they will reach thier fans’ expectation. The vocal line try their best to practice singing and polish their vocal skills. Jimin with Taehyung also help Jin to surpass his struggle in dancing. Jungkook sometimes join the rap line and help with their production.
The comeback week arrive. As soons as the mv release, the views fly through the roof. Their comeback stage is the talk of the town even for the foreign news agency. The interviews and events abroad flow into the indutry like flood.
“Aye how was it?” You ask the boys who is now sitting in the waiting room. They are all exhausted. Sweat runs down their body and panting sound could be heard here and there.
“That was incredible. The fans’ screaming rand in my ears even thoug we were wearing the ear sets.” Jin smile widely. Jhope then continue to speak.
You manage to understand them; even though, your korean is still weak. You understand them, but can’t reply back in their language. Well, that isn’t a problem as long as you understand. It also reduce Namjoon’s work. You now can help him with translation.
“I want to go back to the dorm now. I miss my bed.”
“Hyung, you are always missing your bed. Your future wife must be jealous because of this in the future. Loving a bed more than her.” Jungkook tease Yoongi and everyone laugh.
“Shut it lil kid, I’m not like you who attach to banana milk.” And that’s when they start bickering with each other.
“Don’t you want your reward? I thought you guys want it since you guys can finally relax for a week before start practicing for the tour.” Now all eyes are on you.
“We love you so much.” All of them turn into kids after seeing their surprise. You reward them with a buffet which you pay for it.
Running inside the shop like kids, you follow them. The workers look at them and try not to panic or faint. Who can blame those people when they get meet the boys upclose.
“Enjoy your meal and don’t create trouble.”
“Yes.” They reply and start eating.
The atmotspher is full with joy. They might be a famous boy band, but now they are just teenagers hanging out with each other. Having their time with brothers after their hard work. You smile with the scene. ‘How can you make it?’ You think to youself.
You appreciate all the time you are with them and those boys from where you have left. You still think about that day you crossed the dimension. What if that day, nothing happened? What if this is a dream of yours? You feel afraid.
“What are you thinking? We are waiting for you.” Namjoon speak. You snap back from your thought and see everyone raise their glass. Waiting for you to make a speech.
“Ahem...first, I would like to thank all of you for not sending to the police that day. Thanks for the trust toward me. Remember one thing, this is because of you not me. You are the one who prove the world. I am just a tiny part of this. Continue believe in yourslef and love yourslef. Cheers.”
Jin and Jimin tease you with the speech while the other laugh along. When you end your speech, they continue to eat. You join them and everything turn into a mess. Despite that, you brysh it off and laugh. Little do you know, this is your time to go...
“We should come back again.” Jhope comment.
“Yoongi hyung, you still owe me a meal.” Taehyung speak and Yoongi ignore. Saying it supposed to be a joke. Namjoon then pat the poor boy on the back.
“Well, there will be a next time if you set a new record again.” This time you speak.
“If one day you quit this job, I’m going to sue that man to responsible for this. Youare the best manager ever.” Jin reply and Namjoon sigh.
“If anything relate to food, you are always happy.” Namjoon statement makes other laugh and tease Jin.
“Ahhh...I forgot my phone.” Jimin try to find his phone in his pocket.
“Wait here hyung, I’ll get it.” Jungkook insist, but he refuse.
“Okay both of you stay here, I’ll go get it.” You decide to take an action to not let them bickering for it. It is late night already and they need to rest.
You are running toward the restaurant. Crossing the road, you make sure there is no care. However, things always gone wrong with you and this time isn’t any exception...

Why this is a Kookmin supporter’s blog—random letter to my readers
Dear Readers,
Hi~ I am writing this to you, and to myself, as I felt like I needed to tell you and at the same time remind myself (a reminder very much needed right now), of why I am writing this KM blog.
I woke up in the morning of 8 Nov 2017, carried on with my life as usual. During my break, I found G.C.F in Tokyo updated by BangtanTV on youtube. I was so casual a consumer of BTS back then that I did not even know that JK and JM had gone to Japan… The thumbnail looked like a MV, perhaps a new song I thought, so I clicked on it.
I saw love.
I was shocked, then I was simply overpowered by sadness. I remember sitting in a discreet corner of our common room, just playing it over and over again, with tears in my eyes, just trying to convince myself that I was reading too much into it. What could be more painful and heartbreaking than to fall madly in love with someone you are “not supposed to”, at a time that is most inconvenient, and perhaps at the risk of destroying everything you and your best friends have worked for for the past 7, 8 years?
I started right away to find more material on this possible relationship: official materials from Bighit, vlives, BV 1 and 2, behind the scenes, fan cams… I was the opposite of a shipper—instead of trying to find things that might “prove” the romantic relationship to be real, I was actively trying to find things that would neutralise the relationship, something that would convince me that they were perhaps just best friends…
Two weeks later, after having examined first hand materials both old and new, I anxiously came to the conclusion that my first impression of what G.C.F in Tokyo showed me still held solid. It is love.
The research experience was a very stressful one for me. I saw constant arguments: “they cannot be gay” vs. “you can’t know that”; “proof” of another ship being more real and thereby invalidating KM; of KM being brothers (what??); a great number of people simply insisting that the film was JUST about JK’s camera work and editing skills…
All the while, I was just wondering, why is it that I see a whole relationship, a whole discourse, a whole timeline of progression, but so many seem to be missing it? Am I seeing too much, or are they seeing too little? Am I the only one who is sad and anxious over the boys’ happiness and what they are risking? Why are others not?
So I registered for tumblr, wrote a review for G.C.F in Tokyo, left it there, thinking that perhaps someone who thought and felt the same may chance upon it and find me... That did not happen. But luckily I began to find people, who also started new blogs at around this time to talk about the same subject. I reached out, they answered. We compared “notes”, challenged each other’s observations, discussed, theorised… we tried to find holes in the supposition, to avoid confirmation and selection bias as much as possible…
For me this was all I wanted at the time: peer review, to make sure that I was still critical, thinking logically, and that others also shared my worries and concerns. There was no need for me to blog myself.
But later, the biased opinions the fandom has on KM, the hate, the sometimes vicious attacks on the boys and KM supporters… the more I see, the more I was saddened and worried. If my suppositions are correct, then the boys’ lives are already difficult enough; the oppressive outside pressure from the fandom might just be the straw that broke them and the group.
So this blog, is essentially to share with anyone who wishes to read it, what I see on KM, how I see it, what I think on these and why, i.e., what convinced me of the existence of a romantic relationship between JK and JM. I try to separate the facts that are presented to us by the boys themselves from my own interpretations, so that my readers can also read it, think and compare, then come to their own conclusions and interpretations. Essentially, I want to encourage critical thinking and logical reasoning on the subject of “whether JK and JM are in a romantic relationship”, to encourage getting rid of bias and forming one’s own opinion on it, and argue against simply accepting and believing whatever is laid out in front of oneself.
The KM relationship to me is a whole discourse, an actual real relationship, made up of moments but NOT about moments, one that has ups and downs… one that can be traced and set to a timeline. And to invalidate that, one too would need a whole discourse instead of random moments, however sweet those isolated moments might be. (Anyone who wishes to establish a competing discourse, that is constructed through a similar degree of critical thinking and review, is very welcome to try.)
I only wish to share my own views and observations, and I know I can only reach out to those who are willing to think and consider things with an open mind and without prior bias. But, just maybe, my blog might help lessen some of the prejudice and hate I see towards the boys in the fandom, just in case what I have suspected is indeed the truth? This sadly, is basically all that I can do to help them at the moment…
A sincere thank you to all my readers who are with me on this journey, the messages and encouragement you send comforts me a great deal, in a way, hearing your thoughts help relieve some of my worries for the boys… and it makes me so happy to hear that I perhaps helped to point out things you might have otherwise missed.
ON ASKS, I can only answer those that I think are within my ability to do so (there is so much I don’t know and hence cannot give an opinion on); but do rest assured that I read and think about them all. And as I wrote before, you are welcome to make recommendations on KM moments that you are interested in hearing my thoughts on, so that we can build the timeline, slowly, together.
Finally, please do think on what I write, examine the specific moment I speak of, consider the whole timeline, examine the facts that the boys show us, and then think about KM relationship critically, think on why you arrive at the conclusions you have now. It is completely fine if you don’t agree with me, all I wish for is that you know why you don’t agree with me and that you arrived at your conclusion based on solid facts.
And when you find people who come with information/“proof” that seem to contradict what you believe, judge that piece of information with the same thought process: are there any proof to what they say, does what they say make logical sense?
Be confident, be wise.
Thank you again for reading my random letter. And please do send me your thoughts and messages on my readings. Having feedback really do help a lot in keeping up my energy.
Yours, Peachblossomsofair
P.S. of course~ 💙 화이팅 💛

Da-iCE ARTICLE: [HOMINIS] Da-iCE’s new song for their 5th anniversary is a heartwarming love ballad created by the members’ bond (11/14/18) | CGM
With implied and literal translation. PM me for mistakes/errors. Please put proper credits if you use.
Da-iCE’s new song for their 5th anniversary is a heartwarming love ballad created by the members’ bond
Da-iCE “Kumo o nuketa aozora” Release Interview [pt.1]
Da-iCE is a 5-member vocal and dance unit who made their major debut in 2014. Unknown of staying put, their course continues as they would release their 5th anniversary 3rd single, “Kumo o nuketa aozora”, on November 21. With the five members who are running their 5th year anniversary at full speed, we talked a lot about the ‘points to listen to’ in their new song, up to the thoughts about their 5th anniversary.
First of all, please tell us about the points to listen to on the new song “Kumo o nuketa aozora”.
Hanamura Sota (will be referred to as “Hanamura”): This time, there are a lot to listen to. The melody from A has the same melody, but because the sound of the backtrack is different on the first and on the second, the approach is completely different. Also, since there were 3 people assigned to write the lyrics, I would like you to listen to it while reading the lyrics, carefully.
Wada Hayate (will be referred to as “Wada”): Yes. Since it’s the first time that the song with lyrics written by the members became a single, it also became such a song with strong emotions. I’m on the performer-line, and so I want to show the quality of this song to the audience through dancing.
Kudo Taiki (will be referred to as “Kudo”): It is already unusual for us to have warm ballads in our songs, the more unusual it is for it to become the title song. But, our theme this year is to challenge different things. Since all the songs that have been released this year are challenging songs that we haven’t yet done before, I think this song would also make another challenging ballad. I think that if you listen and compare it to the songs that we have so far, you will know the difference.
Iwaoka Toru (will be referred to as “Iwaoka”): For sure, since many of our ballads are songs for the broken-hearted, I think it is indeed a rare-type of gentle and warm ballad for us.
Ohno Yudai (will be referred to as “Ohno”): This time, we will not appear on the MV. This is our first attempt of doing so, this is because we feel like we want to impart the meaning of the song firmly. First, we want you to focus on the lyrics, and sway with it after. Since the dance comes with a really nice choreography, I would like you to see it.
Iwaoka: The songs of Da-iCE are songs that is complete with choreography. The lyrics, the tune, and the performance are all matching to this song. It is a song containing a lot of emotions and dancing.
The lyrics were written by Hanamura-san, Kudo-san, and Ohno-san. How did the three of you assemble the lyrics?
Hanamura: First, we established the concept of the song as one that can be played even at a wedding. Since we were informed that they would choose that brightly warm ballad song through a competition, I told the staff that, if I could, I would like to participate in that competition. And so, they gave me a pleasant “OK” (suddenly, Ohno begins to tie Kudo’s shoelace and his shoelace like in a three-legged race)… w-what are you doing? (laughs)
Ohno: Just tying the laces… All right! I did it! (grins)
Kudo: Thank you. Continue…?
(laughs) Hanamura-san had requested personally that he wanted to participate in the competition.
Hanamura: That’s right. And so, they let me… (Ohno is now connected with Wada, Wada is tying his shoelace with Iwaoka’s, the “4 people with 3 connected legs” is then completed perfectly. Hanamura looks at the 4 people that seems satisfied) Sorry, my head is a bit blank with these unexpected actions.
Kudo: (as if ignoring the upset Hanamura) Since Sota has already done writing the 80% of the song, rather than to collaborate from zero [scratch], once turned over to me, I changed a little bit the framework that Sota has made first, and then further, Yudai revised it, and then, I revised it a little bit one more time with Yudai. Since it took a lot of process, I think, those steps had led it up to the first place.
What is your impression when you first read Hanamura-san’s written lyrics?
Kudo: I thought that Sota has written a truly good theme. Sota is good on writing such. There was only a little bit of editing of words after, and so I can say that it already contained a convincing substance.
What’s your favorite part of the song?
Hanamura: There are a lot of parts that I like, but if you’re asking for a particular one, I think it would be “What’s two until now, will be as one from now on” [two will be as one] [ima made wa futatsu, kore kara wa hitotsu]. This line was suggested by Yudai-kun but, I wrote it originally as “What’s 1 person until now, will be 2 people from now on” [1 person will be 2 people] [ima made wa hitori, kore kara wa futari]. However, when I thought that the suggested line was already customary and a very common thing, Yudai said, “There are lot of things that can be as one”. Surnames, for example, and two houses as well can be as one. I think it’s nice indeed to have those words with such potential I’ve never expected.
Ohno: Thank you for saying such compliment. I have the same answer. When I was thinking then, the idea about names just came out suddenly. Two will have one surname, won’t they? Those are the words that came to me. To make people sing to it, I made various suggestions thinking that my words, even only a little, if included, may add more feelings to the song. It was my first time doing it this way. Still, I had so much fun.
Kudo: It was our first time to write the lyrics as three. I like the story of the lyrics. Because, there was a proper beginning and ending, and the process in between was well established, leading up to the scene envisioned by Sota, until the end. It was quite hard to synchronize such scenes with co-authors, but in this case, they matched up quickly. I wonder if this was because of the members.
Wada: As for me, I like this song a lot. I already liked it on the lyrics of melody A. Ha! Happy? (laughs) Since there are many parts that everyone can easily relate to, I think it would remain in the heart of the people.
“Kono kyoku no sei, 5 Voice and Acoustic version” is also included in the coupling. It was a song released from 2015 that you recorded again with 5 vocals, is that right?
Kudo: Yes. It has been released on 2015. It is a song that has grown in our LIVEs since then. It was a challenge. We thought that it would be great if the 5 members could remake the atmosphere of the song that the audience is enjoying singing to. It was a challenge because in this, 5 members would be singing in unison for the first time.
What was it like when you were singing it again?
Wada: The recording was fun and so, I think it would give joy to everyone as well.
Iwaoka: I agree. This is one of those songs that brings unity to everyone whenever we perform it LIVE. It is that special for us to sing it as five.
Hanamura: It is our first time to sing in unison as five. It was fun because we know our voice in unison. This time, since the recording was done separately one by one in the past, we wanted to try a pattern in which the 5 of us are singing together in the recording booth. It might have been ‘interesting’ if we sing together as five in great chorus.
Ohno: “Say!” is the only part that we yelled and sung together in the recording booth, right?
Hanamura: That’s right. “Say!” is the only part the we sung together. Because we only did an endless and continuous “hooray” in there, it was mixed up in all the versions in the rough mix that we had up to the time of this very interview, it’s quite funny (laughs).
Ohno: That’s depending on the “Say!” that was used. Perharps, it would develop to something like what Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi-san did in “Bodyguard” [TV Asahi’s 1997 drama].
Hanamura: Who’s that?
Ohno: (while pumping his fist) Say! Say!
Everyone: (laughs out loud)
Hanamura: Everyone went hyper as we moved to the second half of the song. At first, we were just yelling the word “Say!”, but when we moved to the second half, I was in a situation where the tension was so high, I don’t know whether to yell “Say!” or “Hey!”. On the contrary, I think it’s quite funny if you leave it as it is, though.
You focused on recording “Say”?
Ohno: Yes. On “Kono kyoku no ‘Say!’”.
Hanamura: AHAHA! Kono kyoku no ‘Say!’, that’s not bad at all!
Everyone: (laughs out loud)
Kudo: We should turn the title to “Kono kyoku no Say!” then!
Ohno: It’s confusing (laughs).
Currently, Da-iCE is in the middle of a nationwide tour, right (the interview was done in mid-October)?
Hanamura: As of now, we successfully finished the tour in Chiba, Osaka, Tokyo, and Niigata.
Ohno: We’re glad that it started really well.
What do you mean by that?
Ohno: Because we tried various things since it’s our 5th anniversary… maybe, “we won’t make it to the schedule!” – I was so scared then.
Hanamura: This time, not only the sound system, but also the staff for the LIVE had changed a lot. Although it was quite difficult, with that, I learned a lot of new things. I think that it’s a year wherein we’ve grown matured for real.
What had impressed you in those 4 locations? Were you able to eat delicious foods in those places?
Hanamura: I’m so thankful to Niigata, the tickets were sold out, and the catering was very luxurious! There were ramen and curry.
Iwaoka: Curry! It was really delicious!
Hanamura: There was this seemingly famous curry which you can get from the line, called the “Curry of the Bus Center [place in Niigata]”, and it was included in the catering there. It was delicious ~ They wrote “Niigata sold out” on the whiteboard as well.
Kudo: We were so happy that the SOLD OUT happened in the biggest venue in Niigata.
5th year is wonderful indeed. What are your plans, such as gatherings, to celebrate your anniversary together as five?
Ohno: Oh, right… Now I wonder, where should we eat after this?
Everyone: (roar of laughter)
Kudo: Well, how about, let’s get together… in summer after 3 years or so?
Ohno: That won’t be our 5th anniversary anymore! (laughs)
Do you celebrate [countdown] the date of your debut?
Ohno: We do it every year.
Kudo and Wada: We do.
Iwaoka: It’s exciting, actually. We do it with our arms [wrap around, shoulder to shoulder] together.
Hanamura: AHAHA! We don’t (laughs).
Iwaoka: We’re all good friends.
Wada: Yes…
Hanamura: Well, if you’re doing this (4 people with 3 connected legs [of which Sota is excluded]), I’m surprised, you’re being bad to me now.
Ohno: (playing innocent) What? This?
The bond is connected.
Hanamura: I am the only one that’s not connected (laughs).
Iwaoka: Then hurry and tie yours [to us]!
Hanamura: Okay, I’m just holding back (laughs).

Note
(1) (long ask, bear w me, sorry!) i had a dream shinwoo argued with jinyoung for taking up too much screentime in the a lie mv and that's why jy left :( I woke up convinced they ended on bad terms. i really hope they're all still bros.
(2) re: ‘traitor’ discourse, i was glad that anon put it into words. i guess my subconscious too 'blames’ jy (baro less so, despite him being the one who is apparently more eager to move on. bc my gut said he checked out (of the whole idol thing) long before they split. so him leaving, dropping his stage name feels like a logical conclusion, good for him tbh). while jy used to insist b1a4 were forever and jinx schminx etc (as recently as their anni?), but is now happy to be doing his own thing?(3) i immediately hate myself for saying that bc i really do love him and think link8 is adorable and trying very hard where wm failed. i know bayoung left wm, not b1a4, and they might not be pandering and we will actually get ot5 somewhere down the line. or j ground producing for ot3 (wow). I also never wanted/ expected 'b1a4 forever’ if that was not what they wanted.(4) i also realised, writing this, they likely each had their own different reasons for leaving (baro’s change in career goals vs jy’s issues with wm’s management): so i can’t blame one more than the other for not wanting to stick around. sorry for the rambling ask (more venting/ stream of consciousness than question lol, but i would appreciate your thoughts)
No need to apologize! If there’s anyone who understands ranting most, it’s probably me 😆 Plus, it’s always nice to hear other’s thoughts. I’ll try my best to succinctly go through all of your points you made here by paragraph:
I wonder what all their relationships are right now too. Probably is safe to say there is a ‘divide’ of some sorts between A3 and Bayoung, though it’s also likely safe to say this divide isn’t necessarily equal between all the members; i.e., CNU being the more introspective and sensitive person he is, probably feels more of a wall between Bayoung then say, Sandeul. Gongchan is probably somewhere in the middle, albeit closer to CNU’s feelings. The fact we’ve heard next to nothing from him isn’t particularly reassuring, either. Whether they all feel like ‘bros’ still or not, I guess remains to be seen. But I’m still partial to thinking that their bond is too deep for it to be cut off, and I believe in due time they all will be close (enough) again. Interesting dream though! Yeah, Jinyoung def got the spotlight in that MV 😅
Interesting how so many of you seem to share those same thoughts about Jinyoung and Baro (though it seems to different extents and towards either one or the other more)… idk, I still can’t quite get on that train. This isn’t to say that I agree with all of their choices, but I think because I just wasn’t surprised with them leaving (more so that I was surprised that the rest stayed with WM tbh) hearing that news didn’t cause such a sharp pain that is seeming to stick with the rest of you. Jinyoung to me was always the biggest go-getter of the group, so of course he’d jump at the opportunity to put his skills and talents to the test and create his own thing (company? studio? remains to be seen– hope we find out more soon). And Baro, like you said, definitely seemed over it. I wrote about it months ago at this point, of him being just done with idol life so again, him leaving was something that was super shocking. Also in the post I just linked, is where Jinyoung talks about them still having ‘lots to work on’ and yada yada about the 7 year jinx, and how it’s CNU who confesses he is worried about members leaving. Very interesting to look back on that now, from their DINGO drunk Rollin’ rendition, almost a year(!) ago. Idk if CNU was already getting hints of things shifting and changing, but he clearly felt it, whereas Jinyoung was hesitant to say anything but the normal, expected answer. I get it, it seems a bit shady tbh, to hear how Jinyoung was still spewing out ot5 forever answers and then is the one the winds up leaving, going on overdrive promoting, and even using B1A4′s tagline as his own (which obviously, I was a bit meh about that whole thing). But again, I think we really just need to give him a chance and hear him out. I really do hope that at his fanmeet, we will be given more answers from him.
Don’t feel to guilty about your feelings~! It’s understandable you are feeling this way. It’s important to try and stay realistically optimistic about it. Bayoung still consider themselves B1A4, and while we likely won’t get an ot5 soon, there are still plenty of other options that can happen down the line. I’m looking forward to it.
Agree with both of your thoughts of Baro vs Jinyoung leaving. Baro was likely wanting to just get out of the idol lifestyle, whereas Jinyoung still seems very much connected with the fans and the industry, instead just wanting his own creative freedoms. It isn’t something you can really blame them for one way or the other; at the end of the day, they’re both free to do as they please now that their contracts are up. My biggest question would be when did each come to this conclusion– for example, I feel that Baro has been pretty over it all for some time, and the last straw may have just been the rumors of his girlfriend and lovestagram & attitude controversies. Whereas with Jinyoung.. that’s an interesting case. I could see that being a much more recent development, which was why A3 seemed particularly shocked in their statements when the news initially broke out June 30th. I’d love to know– but we probably never will.

Yoongi - A Borrowed Hoodie Part 5
Tumblr media
This is the fairground date, finally.
Thank you to my best friend for the awesome date idea.
I have no idea if Korea even have travelling fairs, much less what they would be like, so this is based off Hull Fair.
First Part
Previous Part
You couldn’t help being horrifically nervous as you waited for Yoongi to pick you up. Pacing the room and listening carefully for the sound of the buzzer was the only way you could stop yourself from physically shaking.
There had been dates before, obviously, but not with anyone you liked anywhere near as much as Yoongi, and not for a while. And, of course, he was an idol, which added a whole heap of pressure.
Contemplating putting music on to calm yourself down, you started searching for your iPod, only to jump as you heard the buzzer, bumping your head on the underside of your desk. You dropped the iPod you had just found on the floor and checked your reflection in the mirror as you hurried to the door, only just remembering to pick up your bag.
You had forgotten, however, to take into account your flatmates.
You lived with 5 other people; three guys and two girls. And they were all currently huddled around the phone that spoke to the intercom outside where Yoongi must have been. You just heard one of them say, “Come on up,” before they noticed your presence as you started rushing over the phone to try to tell Yoongi you would come down to him. Two of the guys grabbed you, however, before you could get anywhere near the phone.
As you only lived on the first floor, they only had to hold you for a couple of minutes before Yoongi knocked on the door.
Then they let you go and you ran over to the door as one of the other girls opened it, revealing Yoongi, clad in a mask and beanie, concealing his identity at least to the casual beholder. You knew, however, that your protective flatmates would scrutinise every detail of him and probably figure it out if you didn’t get him out fast.
Tumblr media
He didn’t spot you at first, asking, “Is Y/N-ssi here?” before noticing you behind the four people now crowded around the door.
“What’s your name?”
“What are your intentions with our Y/N-ssi?”
“Take good care of her tonight, or we’ll find you.”
“You’d better have her home by ten.”
And then you finally managed to weave your way through the crowd to get to him and push him backwards, away from the door as you closed it behind you. Not trusting your flatmates not to pursue you down the corridor, you kept pushing him in front of you until you were out of your building.
“Hi,” he said, as you finally stopped pushing him and he turned to face you.
“Hi,” you responded. “Sorry about them. I should have warned you, but I was a little distracted by freaking out about this date.”
“Me too, to be honest.”
You scoffed. “As if.”
Why don’t you believe me?”
“You’re…” you were going to say ‘an idol’ but you decided that wasn’t necessarily the best idea in the middle of the street, so instead you continued with, “…you. And I’m just me. Why would you be nervous?”
His eyes narrowed slightly as he cocked his head to the side.
“Have you seen yourself, ever?” When you didn’t respond, he continued, “I’ve been nervous around you ever since I first saw you when you woke me up during that MV shoot. You have no idea what you do to me.”
You just blushed and turned away, not sure how to respond to that.
He placed a hand on your back and gently led you over to a waiting taxi. “One of the stylist noonas told me that parking near the fair would be a challenge,” he explained. “And I didn’t think one of the Big Hit mini-vans would be the best idea.”
“Possibly not,” you agreed.
When you were inside, you asked Yoongi how his trip to Japan had been and he told you all about it. You couldn’t help but admire how much he appreciated their fans.
It was only right towards the end of the journey that he asked how your week had been, but you had no complaints because you had loved listening to him. And your response to the question wasn’t much more than the word ‘fine’ anyway.
When you arrived at your destination, you fell silent anyway, the lights of the fair filling your view and your mind. Memories of the fair you had been to every year as a child flowed through your head.
Tumblr media
You moved towards the lights without waiting for Yoongi to pay the taxi driver, causing him to jog slightly to catch up with you.
“So, I was thinking rides, then food, then games. Is that okay?” he said, snapping you out of your nostalgic stupor.
You nodded. “That sounds good,” still staring around you at all the rides you could see even from outside the fair, a fence in between you and the fairground. You had already picked out at least two that you really wanted to try.
Nearly the whole of the first hour was taken up with you pulling Yoongi around to all the rides you wanted to try. He was happy with this, however, because it meant that he didn’t have to make decisions, terrified of making the wrong one. He enjoyed watching your facial expressions, you were so animated. Excitement was the most prevalent emotion, occasionally straying into nostalgia, and he was even amused by your little irritated looks every time you tried to pay for something and he paid before you could.
When you came to the biggest ride in the fair, however, just before it was about to start, he grabbed your hand, looking pale and with his eyes tightly closed. You realised you had made a mistake. He probably had not wanted to seem weak in front of you, so he pretended to be okay with it even though he was terrified.
You tried to get the attention of one of the ride workers but it set off before you could. There was nothing you could do at this point.
To be honest, the ride was probably a bit big for you too, but you weren’t focussed on your fear because you were worried about Yoongi, who never regained the colour in his face all the way through.
When you stepped off the ride, you still didn’t look away from Yoongi, slightly worried he was going to faint or throw up. He also didn’t let go of your hand. There was a low stone wall nearby and you led him over to it, making him sit on top.
“Which ride is next?” he said, trying to stand back up again before you used the hand he was still holding onto to send him off-balance and falling back into a seated position on the wall. Then you perched next to him.
You smiled gently. “First I thought we could sit here for a little while and recover. Then I thought maybe the big wheel?” You did actually want a picture across the fair now it was dark and you could get the full effect of all the lights.
“You don’t want to go on another ride?” he asked, hope showing through his attempt at his usual neutral look even though you couldn’t see the majority of his face.
Shaking your head, you told him, “I want to see the aerial view of the fair, then we can think about food.” You kept his hand in yours, slowly rubbing your thumb over his in a comforting gesture.
Mentioning food hadn’t been your best plan as the little colour Yoongi had regained disappeared in a flash.
You sat with him on the wall for about ten minutes, telling him about the fair back home, a bit of a challenge when you didn’t want to mention rollercoasters or food just then, but you had enough anecdotes about stupid things your friends had done there to keep going long enough for him to be the right colour again.
When he looked like he could walk in a straight line, you gently pulled him to his feet and walked with him, still holding his hand, which you would continue to do as long as he let you, over to the big wheel.
The queue was long as it was one of the most popular rides in the fair. The opportunity to take a picture over the lights of the fair was one that many who had travelled to the fair wanted to take advantage of. Standing in the queue with Yoongi, keeping chatting about all sorts of things, mainly to keep him distracted from any lingering nausea, you didn’t notice, or at least didn’t think about the reason behind, the fact that the majority of the people in the queue with you were in couples.
It was only as Yoongi got on the carriage ahead of you, holding his hand, that you had had to drop while he climbed in, back to you to help you in behind him, that you remembered the cliché of the kiss at the top of the ferris wheel from American movies and things. When you took his hand and sat opposite him in the carriage, ignoring his slightly disappointed eyes, and looked back at the queue, seeing all the couples, it suddenly made sense why there were so many.
Now it was your turn to feel nauseous.
You really liked Yoongi, that was not the problem. You weren’t really even sure what the problem was, but it was there, and you were not ready to kiss him.
The first cycle around the wheel, you spent the entire time ignoring Yoongi, staring out at the view. It was beautiful, and you were enjoying it, but you couldn’t get the thought out of your head of the man that was sitting behind you.
Unbeknownst to you, Yoongi, sitting behind you, was terrified, stupidly, that his unmanly display on the last ride had made you go off him. He wanted to win you back but for the first cycle he couldn’t even manage to convince himself to talk to you. He had never been this nervous about anything relationship related.
Finally, on the second cycle, about halfway to the top, he said, “Do you want me to take a picture of you with the fair in the background?” as he had seen you take a few of just the view.
Tumblr media
You jumped slightly as he spoke, turning around to see that he had taken his mask off. You wondered how long he had been without it. Probably since you got on the big wheel. Looking at his now uncovered face, you are reminded of the fact that this is Min Yoongi. With the mask on, it was easier to see him as Yoongi, the guy you really liked, rather than Suga, the famous idol. You had to swallow hard before you could convince your voice to work, saying, “Yes please.”
He didn’t take your phone when you offered it to take the picture with, instead lifting up his own. He took a few photos of you, sending them to you straight away, but you ignored the buzzing of your phone in your pocket, still looking at him.
“Can we get one together?” he asked quietly, smiling when you gave a small nod in response.
Then he moved carefully over to your side of the carriage, not wanting to tip the thing too badly.
Tentatively, he put an arm around your shoulders, then took a selfie of the two of you, just on the other side of the top of the wheel.
He put his phone away but made no move to take his arm away or put any distance between the two of you. This you could manage. You liked this. A kiss would have been too much but as far as you were concerned, he did this perfectly.
You ignored the view for the rest of the cycle, instead just enjoying being cuddled in his arms. He was enjoying having you there as well, so much, in fact, that he almost forgot to put his mask on again when you got to the bottom.
He pulled it on just as the worker opened the door for you to get out, only just in time not to be seen, although you were sure that the worker wouldn’t have noticed anyway. It was clear he was bored of the repetitive job, not even looking at the two of you as you got off the ride. Still, the rush of almost being caught made you both giggle as Yoongi led the way, helping you out of the carriage and keeping hold of your hand once again while you found your way back into the main part of the fair.
Coming off the back of the big wheel meant that you had to walk back between the big wheel and the ride next to it. Yoongi was still walking ahead of you, pulling you along behind him, when you pulled on his hand to make him stop.
You had noticed that the ground in between the two rides was worryingly wet. There were puddles and the ground there was much softer than around the rest of the fair due to the water. As you looked at it, you saw why, a wave of water spilling over from the ride next to the big wheel.
“Oh,” Yoongi said, “maybe there’s another way around?” But looking around, there didn’t seem to be.
“Looks like we’re making a dash for it,” you commented, watching another wave come over.
As soon as that wave was done, you pulled Yoongi forwards, trying to beat the next wave. The wet ground was hard to run on, however, so you didn’t move as fast as you had intended, and the next wave came over before you were fully out of the way.
You only got a little splashed, Yoongi behind you getting the brunt of it. You kept running until you were out of the danger zone, neither of you wet enough not to mind another wave. Then you turned back and saw what damage had been done. Where you had just a few splashes of water on you, enough to make you a bit cold but not actually too much of a big deal, Yoongi’s brown coat was almost half a few shades darker from the water, his beanie wet enough for water to be dripping down his right cheek, the side which had been closer to the water ride, and being absorbed by his black mask.
You dropped his hand as you span around to see the damage. The two of you looked at each other, in silence, for a full ten seconds, before you saw his mask move, due to the smile spreading across his face, and a giggle escaped his lips. You had been worried that this one event would ruin the night, mortified, blaming yourself for the fact he had been hit with almost the full blast of the wave and it was because you weren’t fast enough. Seeing his giggle, quickly transforming into a full on laugh, you felt yourself relaxing and you laughed along with him.
When his laughter had stopped, still speaking with a slight giggle in his voice, he said, “Well, I definitely think I need some hot food to warm me up after that.” Then he reached out for your hand again, taking it as he walked past you and started towards the road where all the food stalls were.
Once you were back into the main part of the fair, the crowds grew and grew the closer you got to the food area. There were people pushing at you from every side, often trying to separate the two of you, but he kept a strong grip on your hand. There was no way he was letting you go. He actually found his heart racing whenever your small hand slipped a little out of his larger one, terrified that he might lose you in the crowd.
Not wanting to stop in the crowd, he kept the two of you walking for a while, to the other end of the long road of food stalls. There it was less busy, allowing the two of you room to breathe. There, he stopped, turning to face you as it was still too noisy with the sounds of the fair and the crowds of people in it to be easily heard when not close by.
“See anything you fancy to eat?” he asked you, inclining his head to the side of the road that was filled with different foods.
There was an enormous range of both sweet and savoury foods. You found your eyes never resting on anything for longer that a few seconds before you noticed another thing you wanted. The closest you got to narrowing down what to go for was reminding yourself that you should eat something savoury before gorging yourself on all of the sweets you had your eyes on. There were still several savoury things, however, that you thought looked really good.
Noticing your dilemma, Yoongi came up with a solution, really wanting to get something warm inside him as the cold wet coat and hat clung to him. “Why don’t we get a few different things and share?”
Trying not to allow yourself to be too excited by the cliché prospect of sharing food with him, you nodded, blushing despite your efforts. The two of you ended up sharing a kimchijeon, some tteokbokki and a few geonmandu.
Happy that you had had your ‘main meal’ the two of you turned your attention to the sweets. Among others, you had hotteok, bbopkki and gyeranbbang, the last of which Yoongi was very particular about, looking at four different stalls before deciding which to buy from.
Even though the food you were eating was very different from what you had at the fair growing up, the feel was the same, knowing you were stuffing your face with everything unhealthy but somehow feeling no guilt because it was a fair and that meant you could do whatever you wanted. One thing you ate was similar, though. When you saw candyfloss, you had to have some. At this fair, it looked much nicer than the ones you remembered growing up, nicely shaped on a stick with beautiful coloured stripes rather than all the same colour and stuffed roughly in a plastic bag, but the pure sugary taste it provided sent you right back there regardless.
Tumblr media
Once you were both full to bursting point and had filled your bag and Yoongi’s pockets with sweets saved for later, you said, “Can we try some of the stalls?”
Nodding, Yoongi told you, “Of course,” slipping his hand back into yours as you were going to be heading back into the large crowds and he didn’t want to lose you. Once you got to the area where all the stalls were, you walked through, deciding which you wanted to try. You noticed pretty quickly that there were only about five different types of game even though there must have been nearly fifty different stalls. The prizes were what differentiated them.
After realising this, the two of you concentrated on looking at all of the different prizes available. Walking between the stalls like this, you didn’t realise how far you had gone until you came out the other side, back to where all the rides were. Right in front of you was a bumper car rink. You pulled on Yoongi’s hand, dragging him towards the rink. “Please can we go on these? My dad always used to take me on these when I was a kid!”
Seeing the nostalgia on your face and slight tears in your eyes thinking of such a nice memory with your dad, he couldn’t say no to you. Not that he could anyway. He nodded, and then was surprised when you ran off without him, dropping his hand as you rushed over to the booth where tokens for the ride were sold.
By the time he joined you, you had already paid, a smug smirk on your face now that you had finally managed to pay for something. Even though it was only small, it was the most you had been allowed to do all night.
Allowing him to take your hand again, the two of you headed over to the queue by the side of the rink of people who had tokens already. There were only a few people ahead of you, meaning you knew you would definitely be in the next round on the ride.
As you stood at the side, you were watching the previous group, concentrating mainly on the dad and his daughter who ended up stuck in reverse and had to be rescued by one of the workers on the ride. The same thing had happened to you and your dad at least three times over the years. This meant your focus was not on what was happening around you. Someone had joined the queue behind you.
Yoongi was ahead of you in the queue, checking his phone, mainly to turn it on silent so the constant messages from the other members asking how the date was going stopped irritating him quite as much. He also used the time while you were engrossed in watching the riders to shoot a few messages back to them, mostly telling them to leave him alone, but to Hobi, he told him a little about how the date had gone so far. This was partly because he felt guilty about coming to the fair without his friend even though he knew he really wanted to go, but more because he really needed to gush to someone before it all burst out of him in front of you, all the softness you brought out in him.
You only noticed the person next to you when he bumped into you.
Then he did it again, harder.
He was securely in your personal space and making you quite uncomfortable. Every time you shuffled closer to Yoongi, the man shuffled along too, making him just as close as he had been before, if not closer.
Finally, you shuffled too close to Yoongi, bumping lightly into his side, making him look at you. When he did, he saw the man shuffle along again. He glared at the man, pulling you in front of him protectively and placing an arm around your waist. The man was surprised by the sudden movement and looked at Yoongi, only slightly catching sight of his glare before turning away and pretending it never happened. At least he left you alone from then on, not that he could have reached you if he wanted to.
When the cars all ground to a stop, the previous riders got out and left, freeing up the cars for the next lot, including you and Yoongi, to take their places. You had only bought one token, wanting to share with Yoongi, so you handed him the token.
“Which one do you like the look of?” he asked, hand still on your waist.
You grabbed his hand, pulling him over to a black car decorated with multi-coloured splashes on it. Just in time, you got to it just before a couple a little older than you were about to. Happy to get the car you wanted, you climbed in, Yoongi taking the driver’s side.
Tumblr media
With barely time to slip the seatbelts on, the cars started moving.
The whole thing seemed a little less big and impressive than it did when you were a kid, but that certainly didn’t mean you weren’t having fun. Over the loud music, you could just hear Yoongi laughing too. He was really good at the driving. You moved around smoothly, dodging people trying to hit you, only hitting people he aimed for. This skill was put to particularly good use when he spotted the man from before in a yellow car.
Somehow, Yoongi managed to manoeuvre your car to hit the yellow one at just the right angle to send him into a spin, losing control of his own car while the two of you smoothly continued your cycle of the rink.
When your car slowed to a stop when your time was up, Yoongi climbed out first and then gave you a hand out, keeping hold of your hand as you left the rink, still giggling about the fun you had had being savage to the other riders.
Heading back into the area with the stalls, Yoongi pulled you towards one which was giving out massive teddy bears to the winners of the darts game they were running. There was a grid of playing cards stuck to each side of the hexagonal column in the centre of the stall, allowing six people to play at once. The aim of the game was to take the three darts you just paid for and to lodge each in a different one of the cards.
Tumblr media
Yoongi had decided he was going to win you a massive Rilakkuma toy, about two thirds of the size of you. He seemed so set on it, you decided not to bring up your doubts about the practicality of carrying that thing around for the rest of the date. It wasn’t that you didn’t want it. The toy was cute and cuter was the sentiment behind it, but you would rather spend time with him properly than stand next to him while he tried and failed to win this game three times in a row. He didn’t even stop then. Eyes locked on the wall of cards, he was concentrating too hard on trying to win for you, he didn’t notice you slip off to a nearby stall.
You had spotted it earlier and already knew that was what you wanted to play. The prizes were perfect. The game was that you had to roll balls down an inclined plane into a set of six slots at the bottom, numbered one to six in a random order and you got that number of points when your ball went into that slot. The aim was to get 30 points or more.
Tumblr media
Going into the game, you knew this meant you needed an average score of five to succeed.
When the first ball fell into the slot numbered three, you almost gave up, but you decided you had nothing better to do, glancing back to see Yoongi still engrossed in the darts game. Rolling the next ball down, a smile spread across your lips as it fell into the six slot. You figured you actually might be able to make this up.
The next two balls stacked on top of each other in the slot with the number five. This meant you needed at least one of the two balls you had left to be a six, and the other to be a five or a six. Aware that this was not incredibly likely, you decided just to do your best and then try something else afterwards, hopefully dragging Yoongi away from the game he was becoming obsessed with again.
Your penultimate ball rolled down, bounced off the barrier between the five and two point slots, making your heart speed up, only to curve around and fall into the six slot. You stopped the beaming smile that appeared on your face, concentrating on your final shot. You needed a five or six to get the prize you had your eye on.
When you had let it go, you felt a hand on your back.
“Hey,” Yoongi started, blushing enough that you could see it despite the mask. “Sorry. I got a little caught up in that.”
Due to his lack of an enormous bear, you held yourself back from asking if he had won, already knowing the answer. “Don’t worry,” you said. “It gave me a chance to have a go at this.” When you indicated to the game, you looked across at it, noticing that the final ball had fallen in the slot with the other two in the six point slot, meaning you had thirty one points.
You didn’t notice the attendant coming over to check your numbers because you were too busy bouncing up and down and clapping your hands, wide smile filling your face, making Yoongi smile too. He pointed to where the fairground worker was trying to get your attention, making you finally look at them.
When they asked you what you wanted from the array of prizes hanging from the roof of the stall, you knew exactly what to pick, leaning forwards and telling them quietly enough that Yoongi couldn’t hear. As they handed your chosen prize to you, you looked across at Yoongi, finding him looking down at his phone, texting Hoseok again, so he still didn’t see what you had chosen.
He didn’t look up until you said, “Here,” holding the large bear out to him. It wasn’t as big as the Rilakkuma one he had been trying to get for you, but it was Kumamon. And it still wasn’t exactly small. His eyes widened and his hands fell down to his sides in the middle of typing a message to Hoseok. The conflict in his mind was clear even on his mostly obscured face.
Tumblr media
“I won this for you,” you told him.
His hands twitched at his sides, wanting to reach out for the toy. As soon as you had seen it, you knew he would love it. You had been a fan for a very long time, so of course you were well aware of his love of Kumamon.
Eventually he spoke, “But the guy is supposed to win a prize for his girl.”
Conflicted, you sighed and rolled your eyes, but also blushed at him calling you his girl. “Gender roles are stupid,” you said, shoving the plush toy at him.
A smile came to his face as he wrapped his arms around his new friend, his eyes lighting up to let you know it was there. You wished you could see it, but you had seen enough photos over the years, and experienced it in person a few times, to know exactly what his gummy smile looked like. Proud that you were the reason he was so happy, you grabbed the hand he held out to you now that he was holding Kumamon in just one of his arms.
The two of you wandered around the stalls for a while longer, but nothing compared to Kumamon so you didn’t end up playing on any more. While you were wandering, however, you heard a group of people calling out your name. When you turned to see who it was, you were both shocked to see six familiar looking guys in masks and hoods, obscuring their identity to most, but not to you, and definitely not to Yoongi.
He tried to pull you in the other direction, wanting to keep you away from Hoseok especially as he had the most material to make fun of him in front of you. You were having none of it, however, waving at them and pulling him back with you towards them.
“What the hell are you guys doing here?” Yoongi almost growled.
Jimin stopped waving cutely at you to answer Yoongi’s question. “Hobi-hyung convinced us all that we wanted to come to the fair tonight, and then I spotted you and Y/N-ssi.”
Blushing, Yoongi realised that he was still holding your hand, massive Kumamon plush in the other. “Well, I think we’re about done here, right Y/N-ssi?”
The guys all protested, but stopped when you nodded, agreeing with Yoongi even though you wouldn’t have minded chatting with the guys for a little longer, especially the ones you didn’t know so well yet. Spending time with Yoongi came first, though.
“We drove here,” Hoseok started, “so if you guys wanted a lift home, we would be happy to take you as we came in two cars. It saves you the taxi fare.”
You looked at Yoongi. You were happy to go with them, saving the money on the taxi sounded good considering how much you were sure Yoongi had already spent on you that night. However, you were also fully aware that Yoongi beside you was itching to get you away from the others.
“No!” he answered strongly.
“My driving is not that bad!” Namjoon said, Jin nodding as the second driver that night.
Shaking his head, Yoongi explained less enthusiastically, “It’s not that. Our night is not quite over yet.” He glanced over at you when he spoke, but you couldn’t really tell his facial expression through the mask.
Taehyung and Jungkook looked at each other and let out a long and suggestive, “Ooh!”
Hoseok and Jin gave the nearest of the two a light smack around the back of the head, Hoseok getting Jungkook and Jin getting Taehyung. Then they all said goodbye, leaving you guys to your date.
You walked back through the fair on a direct path to the entrance, pushing through the crowd at a steady pace until at the entrance, Yoongi slowed. Not knowing why, you looked at him, but he had his eyes set on a small cart in the middle of the road.
Tumblr media
He dropped your hand, walking over to the little chestnut cart. When he bought some chestnuts, you smiled. They were a staple of your childhood fair visits.
Walking back over to you with the bag in his hands, he got one out and started trying to remove the shell.
“Can I have one?” you asked, surprised when he shook his head, tucking the bag into his pocket and continuing to wrestle with the one he was trying to get into. It didn’t bother you too much, however, you just said, “I’m going to go get some too,” but he shook his head again, continuing to walk out of the fair.
That irritated you.
Despite that, you kept your cool, calmly walking next to him as he kept trying to get into the first chestnut. You even offered to help him with it, but he didn’t let you, stubbornly continuing.
Annoyed at his behaviour, you walked a little way ahead of him, trying to calm down.
He didn’t even try to catch up with you, just calling out directions as you walked, directing you away from the fair, into a quiet area. You didn’t see another person after the first few minutes of walking.
About ten minutes into your walk, you felt a tap on your shoulder, and you turned around to see Yoongi smiling at you. And you could actually see it too. He must have decided it was quiet enough around here to risk it without the mask. You were glad he did as all of the irritation drained out of you at the sight of that gummy smile. “Open wide,” he said, then opened his mouth to show you what he wanted you to do.
When you did as you were told, he fed you the chestnut he had been fighting to get into this whole time. He watched as you ate it, excited smile remaining on his face, happy that he had finally achieved his goal.
You enjoyed the chestnut, but the main reason for the smile that appeared on your face was that Yoongi had been doing that for you. The reason he hadn’t let you buy your own was because he was planning this cute little gesture. You didn’t know how you managed to get lucky enough to be here with a man as beautiful as Yoongi, being as adorable as he was being.
After you thanked him and sent him a blinding smile, he got out another chestnut and started fighting with that too, but now he had a cute little smile on his face while he did it, knowing it was worth the effort because you enjoyed it. You walked next to him again now, when you set off again, wondering where you were heading.
He distracted you from these thoughts, however, when he fed you the next chestnut. This one only took him five minutes. A few minutes later, he gave you another. By the time he held out the fourth to you, you were sure you had been walking in a circle for at least twenty minutes but you chose to trust Yoongi, not mentioning it, just saying,
“You eat this one,” indicating that he should take his hard won chestnut for himself.
His face fell. “You don’t want it?”
“It’s not that I don’t want it,” you explained, “just that you have been so sweet doing this for me, but you should get some benefit too.”
Rubbing the back of his neck with the hand not holding the chestnut, he confessed, “Well, you see, I don’t actually like chestnuts.”
A confused look flashed across your face. “Why did you buy them then?”
He handed you the chestnut and started on the next while he explained, “I told you before that the stylist noonas had helped me with tips for the date. One of them actually came up with the idea of taking you to the fair. They also told your sister about it, and she talked to me the next time she was working on our make-up, giving me tips too. She told me a bit about your stories of the fair in your home town, and a few more tips.” The little smirk on his face told you that he had more planned to do with what Ji-Young had told him, but no matter what you tried you couldn’t get him to reveal what she had told him.
Finally, you arrived at your destination, Yoongi directing you through the gates of a public park, completely deserted because of the late hour, combined with the fact everyone was at the fair. Looking at your watch, you couldn’t believe that it was already after eight o’clock. The time had flown. Even the time walking hadn’t felt too long once you knew what Yoongi was up to.
Yoongi continued to lead you into the park. He seemed to be following a path he knew well, not hesitating at all as he led you along what seemed like a hundred crossing paths.
As you were walking, you found yourself looking up more than anywhere else. The moonlight shining through the trees created a beautiful effect, revealing some of the colour that the night had stolen from the beautiful wood you were walking through. This meant that you did not notice you had reached your destination until you felt Yoongi stop beside you.
You looked at him first, then at where you were. When you saw the lake in front of you, reflecting the moon, you gasped. “It’s so pretty.”
Having picked up on your ideas about clichés, Yoongi held himself back from agreeing while looking at you, although he thought it anyway. “Shall we sit?” he said instead, indicating to a bench at the side of the lake.
You sit there for a couple of hours, chatting and getting to know each other. Obviously, you knew quite a lot about Suga, having been a fan for so long, but there was a lot to Yoongi that was never released to the public. He enjoyed learning about you just as much as you enjoyed discovering the real him behind the idol face he had to put up for the fans.
It was nearly ten when he noticed your hand trembling in his. You were shivering from the cold. For a date that started at four, you had not expected to still be out this late and had not dressed in enough layers for the chill night brought. Immediately, he shed his coat, which had dried since the incident earlier by the big wheel, wrapping it around your shoulders instead. Watching you slip your arms gratefully into the sleeves of the much too big coat, he found himself struck for the second time since he met you with how much he liked seeing you in his clothes. He especially liked it because he was glad to make you more comfortable, sorry that he had not thought to tell you when he picked you up that grabbing another layer may have been sensible. To be fair to him, there had been quite a bit of chaos involved in picking you up that he had not been prepared for.
Suddenly, he spotted the time on his watch in the moonlight. “Shit,” he breathed. When you looked at him, surprised and wondering what was wrong, he explained, “I didn’t realise how late it was getting. We should head back.”
Despite your reluctance for the night to end, you smiled a little as Yoongi pulled you to your feet, knowing that time had been flying as much for him as it had been for you. That smile didn’t leave your face as you walked back to the fair hand in hand with Yoongi as he ordered a taxi to meet you there.
When you caught sight of the lights of the fair, however, your expression changed to confusion. That walk felt way too short. Looking at your watch, you discovered that the walk that had taken you half an hour on the way there, had only taken ten minutes on your way back. “That was fast,” you commented, looking to Yoongi for an explanation.
He was glad that you asked him while he was putting his mask back on so that he could hide the worst of his blush as he answered, “We may have taken the scenic route on the way to the park.” Refusing to look at you as he continued walking the last little way towards the fair, he confessed, “I didn’t think the chestnuts would be so hard to get into.”
When he grabbed your hand again, he still didn’t look at you, but if he had, he would have seen a beaming smile on your face. You couldn’t believe how cute he was.
Yoongi held the door of the taxi open for you when you found it, making sure you were in before he walked around to the other side to get in himself. Then he told the driver your address and you set off.
Now that you were inside, you were sure you would warm up soon enough, so you slipped Yoongi’s coat off, handing it back to him.
“No,” he said, refusing it, “you’re still cold.”
You wouldn’t take no for an answer, however, shoving it into his hands.
Realising he wasn’t going to win this, he came up with an alternative plan. He put his coat back on and then slid into the middle seat, right next to you. Then he slipped his arm and coat behind you, wrapping both around you and bringing you into his chest.
Blushing, you weren’t going to fight him. It was too comfortable and you were too happy being this close to him even to keep fighting on principle. You wrapped one of your arms around him too, hand resting on his waist, head against his chest.
The two of you were drawn out of your little bubble by the driver asking, “So have you two lovebirds just been to the fair?”
“Yeah,” Yoongi answered bluntly, not taking his eyes away from you. He never wanted to let you go.
“Did you not win your girl one of those massive bears?” he asked, probably meaning well.
You looked up at Yoongi as he answered, “Nope, she won one for me,” pride showing through in his voice, making you blush even more and giggle slightly, leading to you returning to hiding your face against his chest, not that he minded too much.
When you arrived at your building, Yoongi wished he could just keep holding onto you, but he knew you needed to go. He released you from his grip, allowing you to get out, but asked the driver to wait for him and got out to say goodbye to you properly.
He walked you up to the door of your building, arm around your waist. “I would walk you all the way up to your flat door,” he started when you reached the door, “but it’s past ten so I think your flatmates might kill me whether they find out who I am or not.”
You blushed, remembering the mess that was trying to get Yoongi out of the building without anyone finding out who he was. “Sorry about them.”
“Don’t be,” he reassured you. “I’m glad you have people like that looking out for you.”
You nodded with a little smile, then said, “Goodnight,” but made no move to reach for the door, much less actually go inside.
“Goodnight,” he responded, but he didn’t turn to leave either, leaving the driver waiting for him.
Eventually, he realised you couldn’t stand out there forever, delaying the end of your date, and resolved that ending this one just meant that he could start planning the next. He leant down and pulled his mask down enough to kiss your forehead before replacing it. “Go inside now or you’ll catch a cold and your flatmates will really have my head.”
Unwillingly, you did as you were told, knowing that you would happily stand there all night otherwise. You waved at him as you went inside, knowing that he was smiling behind the mask.
When you got into your flat, you were ambushed.
“What time do you call this?”
“We were watching through the window and he was still wearing his mask.”
“Have you even seen his face?”
“Does he have some kind of deformity?”
“Why won’t you tell us his name?”
“Is he a criminal?”
“Or a celebrity?”
You held up a hand to stop the stream of questions being thrown at you. “As if I would be able to date a celebrity! And I wouldn’t date a criminal. And I have seen his face. He’s very handsome. And I’m not telling you his name because I know you well enough that with a name, you would be stalking his social media in seconds. Now I am going to bed.”
Safely in your room, you allowed yourself to squeal a little, pressing your back against your door and sliding to the floor. You couldn’t believe how amazing the date had been. The two of you had been together for six hours straight and there hadn’t been a single boring moment. Once you were recovered from that, you stood up, knocking something off the back of your door as you did.
Damn it.
Yoongi’s hoodie.

Soulmate The8
Part of the Seventeen Soulmate Series
It was funny, really, that no one could ever truly know what was going on in someone else’s head. Except one time- for one moment. The first thought your soulmate would ever have when they saw you would be written in bold letters across your arm.
Some people had some pretty embarrassing words. They were sweet, really, when you considered the sentiment, but they were pretty awful for the young kids who had to walk around with them. Your close friend had, spelled in huge letters across her arm, “holy fucking shit!”
Your own words were in letters that, at first, everyone around you had not understood. Luckily, all hospitals had a language expert somewhere on their staff who would either translate unknown marks on the arms of newborns or at least inform the parents what language it was so that they could get it translated themselves if they wanted to. Your local specialist had gazed in amazement at your mark and told your family it was a mix of languages. First Korean, then Mandarin. It was also... unusually long. A stream of thought.
They were surprised. But it was assumed that your soulmate must be bilingual. And since a very young age, determined when it came to the idea of your soulmate, you set off on the tough road of trying to learn both.
There were online websites and books to help you and well as local classes, and one of the first things you learnt as you got a better grip on both languages was what your soulmate’s first thought actually was. Oh my god, look at- usually i don’t care, but if they weren’t wearing that shirt, I think I’d be jealous.
Shortly after your tenth birthday, on a school trip to a museum on Soulmates through the ages, you noticed the museum worker looking curiously at your arm while the class stopped for lunch.
“I hope you don’t mind me asking, dear.” she spoke carefully, because some people considered soulmate marks to be extremely personal. “But do you have two languages written there?”
“Yeah,” you said, with an instant grin, at that age where you loved any chance to show off a little to the adults around you- especially loving the chance to talk about a possible future soulmate. “Korean, then Mandarin! I’m learning both!”
“Are you really?” she smiled warmly at you. “That’s very cool. You know, my soulmate thought in two languages as well, the first time she saw me. She’s bilingual. Different languages from your own of course, but looks like a similar situation to yours.”
“Really?” you asked, lighting up. You had never met anyone with the same type of mark before.
She rolled up her sleeve, letting you see.
“She was from Brazil, you see,” the worker explained. “But she was living and working in New York when I met her. We both just happened to be there for the summer. She was speaking English each day and was pretty used to it. But when she saw me, though she started off a thought in English, she suddenly switched right back to Portuguese. She explained to me she had been stunned, and to articulate her thoughts properly, she had fallen back on her native language.Yours might be the same, do you think?”
You nodded, amazed by the idea. You had never gathered exactly why your soulmate might have abruptly switched languages mid sentence.
“Yeah, it’s probably the same.” you agreed. The women looked rather charmed.
“You know, if you’re interested,” she said. “We have some books here at the museum about soulmates, and one has a great chapter on issues with bilingual soulmate marks. Psychologists have always been interested in thought patterns with people who know multiple languages.  It may be a bit complex in parts, but if you were interested I could give you my copy to read.”
“Yes please!” you agreed happily. “That would be amazing. Thank you so much.”
“No problem at all,” you smiled. “I know how annoying it is to feel like you’re waiting around to meet someone. It’s fun to fill in the time when you can, right?”
So you returned home with a new book that day. She was right- a lot was very dense reading- and it didn’t necessarily give you new insights beyond what she’d already told you, but it was a great way to feel connected. You were especially pleased to find the end of the chapter praising the people who made efforts to learn the languages of their soulmate.
It became a favorite of yours. Over the years you bought a few more books, until High School work became more overwhelming and important and you had to put your interests aside a bit.
As you finished high school and began moving on to other things, your closest friend (the one who had holy fucking shit! written on her arm) started getting into K Pop. It amused you to no end, especially when she begged for your help with the occasional translation- so happy to have her own personal helper even if you couldn’t find the time to be invested in the fandom like she was- and she was able to become pretty good at quickly making gifs with good captions as a result.
Her favorite member was Wonwoo (and with how much she talked about him, you didn’t get much of a chance to hear everything about the other boys in the group- in fact you didn’t think you’d even had a chance to see all of their faces before). She called him the love of her life on a near daily basis. You laughed at her, but it was all with fondness. You had to agree, from the little you had seen, the boys did seem really sweet.
“Look, let me at least show you a music video!” she says one day at a sleepover. “I know you like their songs, and I know you think they’re cute- I promise you’ll understand when you watch a music video and see all of it wrapped up into one adorable package.”
She pouts at you, making her cutest, hardest to resit face, and fully taking advantage of the fact that she knows how much you adore her. And how much you kind of owe her for letting you hang out at her place that evening while your own living space became overrun with people.
“Fine,” you sigh. “I’ll do you the great favor of watching one Seventeen video. And only one!”
“Only one?” she attempts the pout again, but you shake your head.
“We’re meant to be studying right now, remember? With this course load I don’t have time to be obsessed with thirteen cute boys! I’m not trying to get myself invested!” you sigh down at the papers scattered over the floor. “And we thought high school was stressful...”
“I promise this will heal you, okay?” your friend says. She bites her lip as she scrolls along Seventeen’s youtube channel. She seems to be having a hard time deciding.
“Only one,” you remind her as soon as she opens her mouth- doubtless to attempt convincing you that more than one would be okay.
“Fine,” she agrees at last. “I’m going with Boom Boom. It’s so well put together and has a fun story-line and, well, you get to see mint Wonwoo being cute in an elevator.”
“Sounds great,” you say a little sarcastically.
“Oh, shh, you’ll understand in a minute,” she waves you into silence.
And then she starts the MV. And only thirty seconds in, you see a face so stunning it makes your mouth drop right open. And all you can think is how is he not her bias?
“Pause!” you gasp right away.
Your friend pauses the video just as the screen switches to a shot of Wonwoo, who at least is very familiar to you by now, and turns back to you with her eyebrows raised.
“What?” she asks.
“Who was that?” you ask, pointing to the screen, gesturing for her to go back. You see the smug smile spreading over her face already as she drags the video back.
The gorgeous boy, reddish hair swept up off her forehead, holds a tablet in his hands and gazes right into the camera. You feel a flutter you never expected to feel as you look into those eyes.
“That is Minghao,” your friend says. “Xu Minghao, called Myungho in Korean, and his stage name is The8. He’s one of the Chinese members.”
“Huh,” you laugh, hand going to your arm. “I guess I like bilingual boys then.”
Your friend laughs.
“He looks great for the whole video, just wait,” she warns you. “Are you ready to start again or...?”
“Yeah, yeah, please go,” you tell her quickly, waving a hand her way.
So she does. The song is great, of course, and the music video is visually amazing and really fun. And most of all, that boy, Minghao, is so eye catching you can’t tear your gaze away whenever he comes onscreen. It’s mind blowing how good he looks.
Finally, the video ends, and you turn to your friend.
“Okay,” you accept, pushing your study notes away. “Show me more?”
It does not take long for you to become fully invested in the rest of Seventeen, finding they all have their own lovely charm, their own amazing dynamic that pulls together best when they all connect. But no one ever really touches your ever growing love for Minghao. There’s just something about him.
When you find out Seventeen are going on a World Tour, you and your friend spend an hour at her house talking over every possible scenario of whether or not you’ll be able to go, looking at the most plausible concert venues close to where you live, seeing if you can save up. When you realize that yes you will be able to go, you hug each other so tight it feels like your ribs have been crushed.
But even that hug is nothing compared to when you actually get the tickets, sitting hunched over your two laptops, waiting until the second they go online to grab the VIP seats. And sure enough, it works. You get what you were hoping for, and along with all the excitement of seeing them live, you now have a guarantee to interact with them in the form of a hi-touch. You’re so hyped it takes the whole evening to calm down enough to act normally again.
Approaching the concert date, you make your own merch to wear, your friend talking you into it despite the hard work because it’s fun and personal and makes you stand out. You break out every artistic skill the two of you possess with a set of fabric pens until you have two really nice homemade t-shirts, one saying Minghao and they other saying Wonwoo with designs around them that you spent hours selecting.
The concert itself is amazing. Seeing the boys you’ve become such a huge fan of is a delight, and you’re pleased to help your friend a little by translating some of what they say on stage. At the end, as the lights dim and the boys leave the stage with cheerful, thankful waves toward the crowd, your eyes stay fixed on Minghao until he’s gone.
And then, before you can even be sad that the concert is over, it’s time to line up for the hi-touch. You’re practically sweating in the line, your best friend bouncing on her toes beside you. It’s far too hot in the hall, and you take off your jacket, shoving it into your bag. You keep rehearsing in your head the few sentences you want to throw to Minghao, hopefully catching his eye by speaking both Mandarin and Korean. Then the line starts moving, and off you go.
.
Minghao is, as he always is, feeling almost high with happiness and exhaustion after the concert. There’s nothing like the buzz of sharing performances with the fans and seeing them respond, and pulling off every move of the choreography perfectly. It was almost like there was something extra special that night too- some kind of blessing over the room that made everything run perfectly.
And then he starts getting ready for the hi-touch. Because of the heat of the evening, most of the members get changed into light outfits, shedding sweaty clothes from on-stage. He takes a moment to pause, look at his muscles flex in the mirror, and smiles at the sight of his soul mark on his arm.
As always, because they’re famous, he’ll have to grab one of the special arm bands that idols wear to cover their marks when they’re in short sleeves, but he likes to take a moment to look at it out in the open while he can.
How is he not her bias? the mark reads. He always wonders if some day he might be mere moments from meeting his soulmate.
“Minghao, there’s no time to be cheesy!” Mingyu’s voice teases suddenly from behind him. “We have to go meet the fans now.”
“As if you aren’t the King of being a cheesy hopeless romantic,” Minghao responds instantly, and Mingyu laughs, setting his arm alongside Minghao’s in the mirror to look at his own mark- Who on earth is that long-legged beautiful idiot tripping over his own feet?
“I can’t help it. It’s a situation like a drama.” he says happily.
“It’s a situation of you being a clumsy idiot.” Minghao responds in deadpan, eyes sparkling, because really, both of them are hopeless romantics when it comes to their soulmates.
“Oh, shh,” Mingyu hits his arm. “Just put on your arm band and come.”
So Minghao gives up teasing him, slides on the band and makes sure it’s covering his mark while Mingyu does the same, and then they head out and join the line of their members to begin the hi-touch.
The fans move fairly slowly down the line today, since they have quite a bit of time to spare, and Minghao, standing at the very end, enjoys that when each fan leaves him he usually has a moment to look down the line before the next fan arrives. It’s especially good when he has a chance to spot who is wearing things or holding items with his face- taking note and hoping to make the experience extra special for people who have him as a bias and will treasure a special moment with him.
He’s just finishing with a fan when he looks up and sees you. And his lips part in surprise as his eyes flicker over you.
Oh my god, look at- his suddenly jumbled thoughts begin. But then he feels like his brain itself has switched off. It takes a second before he shakes himself out of his blank-mind state, thoughts automatically going back to his first language to better articulate- usually i don’t care, but if they weren’t wearing that shirt, I think I’d be jealous.
And he really would. Which is strange. Really really strange.
And then another fan is in front of him, so he tears his eyes off you, currently talking to Jun, and makes sure he gives them his attention. He’s a professional after all, and cares deeply about his fans, even when distracted.
It takes three more people before you actually reach him, and weirdly he feels like his heart is beating too fast now, his palm too sweaty. It isn’t common, he supposes, to see someone so close to your ideal type.
“Hi, Minghao!” you say in Korean. “I love you!”
He easily responds with “I love you too!” while he interlocks your fingers together, and you feel like fainting right there, but you power on quickly, switching languages.
“I can’t even begin to explain how much you mean: your dancing, and the songs you make, and your general attitude!”
His eyebrows raise, impressed by your language ability.
“Ah, thank you so much,” he says in that sweet, humbled way of his, half bowing his head. “I like your t-shirt, by the way!”
And then, as his eyes travel down, impressed by the design you made- incorporating the infinity symbol- his attention is attracted to the mark on your arm. Specifically to the mix of Korean and Chinese characters.
“Please move on,” the security guard says to you. It’s been too long now for a simple hi-touch.
You try to pull you hand away, but Minghao clutches on, staring at your arm. Reading it. Seeing his own thoughts echoed right back to him.
His soulmate!
“Your arm,” he says.
His soulmate!
“Minghao,” you say nervously, glancing toward the security guard. “I have to-”
“Please, keep the line moving,” security asks again.
But Minghao tugs you closer, looks back at the security guard.
“Sorry!” he says. “Sorry but... this is my soulmate!”
“What?” you gasp. There’s a flicker of chatter down the line. The waiting fans are staring with their mouths open.
“That- that thought there.” he points to you arm. “I just had it. Just now.” Security are staring now too, too shocked by the rare situation to do anything yet. Minghao continues. “Look- look here. Is this what you thought when you first saw my face?”
And he rips off his armband, lets you see his arm.
How is he not her bias? it says. And you think back to that day, so long ago now, when your friend showed you the Boom Boom video. And you look up at Minghao and, numbly, stunned, you nod.
“Oh my god,” you hear your friend say next to you.
From down the line, Mingyu wolf-whistles. You can hear some of the other members, some of the fans, starting to laugh. It’s pretty common for people to enjoy the stories of their biases discovering soulmates (even though there’s a lot of jealously too- who can fight the universe?) and it’s extra special for the fans who just got to witness it.
In the back of your mind you realize that later, on Vlive, you’ll have to make an official announcement to all the Carats. This will become a part of your life. Minghao will become a part of your life.
You can barely move from a combination of pure happiness and nervousness, but lucky for you, you have a fearless soulmate.
Minghao is smiling very wide as he pulls you even closer by your linked together hands. You’ve heard that in situations like this, the fan who turns out to be the Soulmate is usually asked to wait until the end of the event. But as the manager approaches to finally carry out the proper protocol, Minghao is already whispering to you.
“I might get into trouble for this with my managers later.” he says. “But I can’t leave you waiting for me without this.”
And he kisses you there in front of the line of fans.
You hear screams from the fans, and laughter, and several of the members yelling different encouragements and protests at Minghao. But you can’t think past his lips. Past your interlocked fingers, and the man of your dream pressed against you, unable to resist you.
He pulls back finally, eyes intense and happy. And his manager scolds him half heartedly, and then asks if you want to wait backstage for him. So you wave a numb goodbye to your friend and the awed crowd, and follow the staff, looking back in time to see Minghao turning to a line of fans ready to scream congratulations at him.
But he glances back at you one last time, like he can feel your eyes on him. And he gives you a quick wink, which feels more like a promise. And you think your heart may never beat normally again.

Okay, I’m back at it again with another long ass, symbolism heavy theory. I would heavily suggest reading my other theory here before you read this one since I will be referencing that one often in this. There’s a tl;dr at the bottom fyi!
To begin, the symbolism and art shown in Blood, Sweat, and Tears (BST) is very religion heavy. It is to be expected when pulling from work from the 17-18th centuries. I’ve seen some people theorize that Jin is the one behind all the “evil” the boys have done in RUN and I Need U (INU). I agree with this, though I don’t think he is necessarily evil, but more of a tempter.
In my previous theory, I discussed how I believed Jin to be Sinclair and Tae to be Demian, acting as a force to influence Sinclair as a mentor. I still believe that to be true. Each boy has his own storyline that is tied back to Jin, including Tae, but it’s a little confusing.
Let me backtrack: When Jin kisses the statue like Sinclair kisses Demian, they become one. Sinclair talks about not being able to see Demian anymore and realizes Demian was just a part of himself. So the metaphorical Tae that I spoke about previously is a part of Jin. Jin has realized himself fully and has accepted both the light and darkness in his life.
I also heavily discussed the concept of duality in my last post. There is the “other world” as Sinclair often mentions it which is the darker side of the world, which also means there is a light side of the world. This is a limited, binary viewpoint though. And the Spring Day mv told us there is more to the world than that through the usage of “The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas” (short story) and “Snowpiercer” (film). Both stories show there are sides of gray in life. In the Omelas story, everyone is happy enjoying life at the expense of a miserable child. The knowledge of the child gets out and there are people who live that can’t live a life of blind happiness at the expense of others. BTS are the ones who walk away from the feeling of blindness and absolute happiness.
Snowpiercer is a film that depicts an apocalyptic world in which the last surviving humans live on a train. It is best known for its blatant ridicule of the class system but also depicts two sides of life. The tail end or back end of the train is where the poor are, living in oppressed squalor while the head of the train lives in complete luxury. But, both ends of the train are blind to the truth. They accept the train as the world, it’s safety and warmth. The middle of the train is the only place with windows where you can see out of the train. The middle of the train people, or middle class, are the ones who are educated with propaganda instructing them that the train is the world. BTS are those of the middle class, but also the two middle-class people who eventually escape the train. They sit and accept the truth that they are told until they see the colors of gray, or the world around them, and eventually leave the train.
Now you might be asking what about the two Jungkooks? That’s where the concept of duality comes in. the train JK sees the Omelas JK and that’s the spark to leave. Train JK is the passive one who accepts the truth, while Omelas JK is the boy who defies what is given to him. This is the spark to leave the train and explore the outside world. But I digress. Let me get back to the JPN BST mv.
The concept of this passive vs active duality is also seen in Jin especially in the newest JPN BST mv. Jin has been seen very passive around the boys, never really joining in on the fun just standing on the sidelines and filming. There is plenty of evidence out there, but if you want specifics let me know.
The Jin in the JPN BST mv, is not like that at all. He seems to play an active, almost antagonistic role. So, as I said there is lots of religious symbolism in the BST mvs and to explain what I think happens in the JPN ver I have to use some material from the KOR ver.
So I believe Jin is the tempter, acting as the snake (and depending on who you talk to, indirectly the Devil) in the story of Adam and Eve. After going back to watch the KOR BST it makes more sense since Jin was shown while Namjoon quoted the Demian line about Demian being a tempter. This may seem far-fetched but hear me out.
Jimin, who was seated on Jin’s left in the KOR ver BST table scene, is often showed with apples. It is seen in the JPN BST, KOR BST, and Jimin’s short film. Apples, in the biblical sense, are tied to Adam and Eve. To briefly recap the story, Adam and Eve were the first humans created. They were allowed to eat, use, and generally do anything in the Garden of Eden except eat from the Tree of Knowledge. A serpent tempts and eventually convinces her to do so to “open her eyes” to be like “God, knowing all good and evil”. After she eats the fruit, she shares with Adam and both are condemned by God and sent out of the Garden of Eden.
I didn’t put this together until seeing Jimin finally eat the apple in the JPN BST. He’s just been holding it or looking at it up until now like he was tempted. Jimin, also being on Jin’s left, is important. The left side in many people who believe in the bible is associated with Satan/the Devil. I’m not saying Jin is the devil. Some people believe the snake was Satan in disguise, but I think it’s more of a vector of temptation sent to taint God’s creations. But this isn’t the time for bible debate.
It also fits because the serpent implies that Eve’s eyes have been closed. Jimin is also often seen with a blindfold or having his vision blocked, by a certain someone (Yoongi). I thought previously that Jimin was turning a blind eye to something, ignoring something that was causing him pain, and I do still believe that, but I also think it has another meaning. If the serpent convinced Eve that she was blind, that she couldn’t see everything, then wouldn’t she think of herself as blindfolded? Then wouldn’t the one blindfolding her, be God? Just as I am not saying Jin is the Devil, I don’t think Yoongi is God. He is symbolic of him. Yoongi serves as a protection/barricade between Jimin and Jin. He doesn’t want Jimin to follow Jin into darkness. That’s why we see two Jimin’s. The one Yoongi protects, and the one that follows Jin into darkness.
So if Yoongi is symbolic of God, how come he fights Kookie in RUN? Many times in the bible, God is shown, for lack of a better term, a practitioner of tough love. See Noah’s ark for example, where floods come and kill many people and animals except for the one’s on Noah’s ark besides the people had lost the way of God. The people killed were the descendants of Adam and Eve, who I believe are the other boys since Jimin and Tae were the first tempted.
So if Jimin is symbolic of Eve, Yoongi of God, and Jin of the Devil, then who is Adam? At first, I thought it was Hobi since he is OFTEN seen with Jimin, but I have Hobi has something else going on I will get to soon. So that lead me to Tae. We see Tae struggling with temptation/sin often. The act of graffiti and an insane amount of suicide imagery associated with him in HYYH is too overwhelming.
Tae sits on the right of Jin in the KOR BST mv. If the left is associated with evil, then the right is associated with good. Tae was “good” which is why there is so much angelic symbolism near him. But, he was tempted, probably by Jimin since he is symbolic of Eve and Eve is the one who gives Adam the fruit to eat.
Jin, could also have been the one to tempt Tae and the other boys since in the KOR BST all the boys are shown around a table with no real food besides apples in front of them. So, Tae and Jimin are the first ones tempted.
Now, when Adam and eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden, they could no longer understand the word of God, since they were no longer his children. So this leads me to believe that nothing heavenly could help either of them. Which is where Hobi and Namjoon come in.
I’ll start with Namjoon, since his story is somewhat laid out already. Many times Namjoon is shown running to a telephone booth and many people assume it’s because Tae is calling based off evidence from Namjoon and Tae’s films. But, Namjoon is never able to reach the phone or get into the booth. So, since Namjoon isn’t tempted YET, he is still considered heavenly, therefore, he can never help Tae.
Namjoon is eventually tempted and falls into alcohol, specifically absinthe. Absinthe is portrayed as an addictive, alcoholic hallucinogen. So he becomes addicted to drinking the beverage and eventually forces Jungkook to drink it (seen in the JPN BST mv). But, I don’t think Namjoon falls as deeply into temptation as Tae does. He learns to accept it. Namjoon is shown around a lot of mirrors either obscuring his reflection (JPN INU) or shattering the glass (Reflection). But, in JPN BST he is shown looking directly into his reflection. He’s learned to accept temptation as a part of himself. Reflections are often symbolic of showing one's true self which is why we say Jin’s reflection crack in KOR BST bc he hasn’t accepted his whole self (passive and active).
Before I get to Hobi, I’m going to finish Jungkook’s story. Before, I wasn’t sure where Kookie sat in the Demian/Sinclair story. I believed he was “Beatrice” but since he is often on the outskirts dipping his toes in good and evil I think he is symbolic of Abraxus. We don’t know who convinced the boys to leave Omelas, but from what I discussed earlier, it was most likely Kookie who convinced the boys to leave the train in Spring Day. He also tries to help Yoongi in RUN, who is struggling with his own problems. This is the good Kookie dabbles in. The bad is all the new stuff we saw in the JPN BST mv: the hallucinations and fighting off Yoongi who is trying to help him. Also, depending on what theory you believe, the shooting of the other boys in Not Today.
Now last but not least, Hobi. I think Hobi was once tempted, proven by the abuse of pills. But rather than accept temptation, he rejects it and fights it. This is seen by the throwing away of his pills, twice now. We also often see Hobi pulling a bow and arrow and now a dart on those tempted, usually Tae. Now, I believe Tae has fallen deepest into temptation and Hobi mourns the loss of his friends' purity, shown by the Pieta in KOR BST. He takes on the biggest challenge first, Tae. Which is why we see him throwing or going to throw the dart at Tae in JPN BST and pull the bow at Tae in KOR BST. Hobi is the descendant that God spoke of when cursing the serpent. God said that Eve’s descendant will bruise his foot by smashing the head of the snake. Basically, he will have to sacrifice something to get rid of the tempting serpent.
Hobi is also shown dancing under the fresco painted on St. Nicholas’ ceiling painted by Guilio Quaglio. I can't find a lot of info on the painting but it looks like a depiction of a world of light or heaven? So it looks like Hobi is reaching for salvation, but he isn’t the only one. Jimin is too.
Jimin, aka Eve, has realized what he has done wrong and has suffered for it. She lost her son Abel at the hands of her son Cain and was placed with pain after she was cast out of the Garden of Eden. This is why we see Jimin suffering/being uncomfortable so much while in water. Water is symbolic of purification, so Jimin is repenting for his wrongdoings but is also suffering because of the temptation he gave into.
We also see Jin circa INU era twice in this mv. Once in the bed of the truck, lying similarly to how he is lying in the bed in INU. In INU lilies are very present. They are also present in BST. Lilies symbolize innocence after death. Passive Jin wants to be innocent after he dies but is prevented from that because of tempter!Jin. This is why the lily petals are burned; all hope of innocence after death is gone. I believe both Jin’s are aware of each other having met in the Awake film, but since tempter Jin is the stronger personality, he has prevented watcher Jin from moving on. Which is why he is still interacting with the boys in the INU era but only passively.
The scene at the end of the mv is one of the first setups to Jin’s temptation of Namjoon. We see the effects in the INU era.
TL;DR: as seen in INU there are two sides to youth: the dark and light. This is further expressed in RUN and BST (both versions). Each boy has a doppelganger, opposite from what they are typically shown to be. Jin’s doppelganger, the tempter, has tempted the boys to do things they shouldn’t seen in RUN and INU. Hobi, the savior, is trying to fight Jin’s hold on the boys.

To no one’s surprise, Kim Kibum is high.
No! Not that kind of high--Kibum may be an advocate for living on the edge, but jail was, well, a little much-- but the legal kind of high. Doped up on caffeine and last night’s escapades; slurping his weight in caffeine in hopes of staying lucid enough to remember the choreo to their retro hit, the lyrics, his name, and as of present- to answer the interviewers questions with much vigor. Caffeine has always been his primary lover during the skip of schedules, but as of late Kibum and his beaus relationship had become rather toxic--Romeo and Juliet toxic. He couldn’t mull through the day without 3 square meals catered around an Americano and yea- it’s unhealthy, but the results were really really good. And so far, he’s proud of himself for every broadcast had been spot on and every interview fluid enough to create more buzz than his self administered half-hawk during Lucifer era. What a time to be alive!
The clock ticks to the tune of the incoming  hour--9AM-- and quite frankly Kibum feels like he’s going to die. Lethargy riddled feline eyes, curling svelte finger tips loose around the girth of a Styrofoam cup--Styrofoam, despite having ordered an iced Americanofor kicks--it’s half empty when he so desperately needed it to be half full. Fingers are wrapping tentatively around the girth of  a Styrofoam cup, contents half empty when he needed it to be half full. His manager seems to read his mind, read between the lines of thin,  lowered, apprehensive eyes that say Kibum won’t make it to the hour without a refill of the legal drug, because he’s swift in getting the idol a refill before the interviewer arrives.
The first question is light -- is easy. Interviews are easy. Easy as pie.
Maybe because the art of conversation was something he had mastered a long time ago, but only now able to showcase to a large audience via this comeback allotting him with a rather surplus of solo interviews-more than he expected, honestly. His members (take away Taemin, add OnJongHo) were just as good as he when it came to answering questions. Each member cool calm and concise, so much so that Kibum could easily blend into the unmarked cafe’s puke-colored interior(really.
“Because SHINee is a contemporary band, we strive to create new trends and rework old ones.”  The word ‘contemporary’ is emphasized, a quality of the quintet that Kibum equally loved to drive home and be apart of.
“In addition, our concept this comeback is a ‘retro’ pop song with new jack swing elements where we reinterpret specific elements of that era, but in a very SHINee way. And while many other artist have pursued a ‘retro’ concept  spanning from the 80s to late 90s, we wanted to do so in a new and distinct characteristics. Hence why we released a limited edition cassette version and filmed the MV in a way that’s the very embodiment of the era down to the editing.” His fondness of his group shones through a show of pearly whites, the kind he’s oh-so conscious of because the back of his hand presses to it before allowing him to continue. “As SHINee, we’ve always strive to fully incorporate details within our concept. For example, many may not notice, but  the jewelry we wore are actual relics from the 90s. I even utilized some of my own wardrobe during shooting. When we chose the concept, we met with our staff numerous time to decide if ‘1of1′ was a concept we should try. Although we ultimately chose it, we knew how dangerous this choice was, so we are really happy to see everyone enjoying it so much.”
These days he feels very much like SHINee’s PR person. Ever since the word got out that he played a hand in their last concert’s direction and costumes, interviewers always approached him about SHINee with much more interest- as if he were... vital to SHINee’s conception. In an afterthought, he adds, “In the future I want to create fun music that is public friendly but unique as well.”
And then modesty takes hold of his features, embedded so deep within his countenance that not even the humbled smile that’s stretched around his teeth can hide it. This was... different. Sure he had just concisely outlined the quintet’s mission and concept- but he had done so as 5, speaking for all 5 of them, not just himself. Speaking for his group was autonomous by now but speaking on his solo activities and achievements (ones that were miles different from SHINee ones), though, were a different story; he was still getting use to it. A fairy tale as Kibum was but an oyster revealing his pearl to the public and hoping not to get it stolen.
“In Drinking Solo, I play a  charismatic character named ‘Kim Kibum’ just like me! Anyways, he’s a 9th grade civil servant examinee who takes life one step at a time. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth so obviously he prefers the finer things in life--finer things like his penchant for luxury tracksuits that he finances with his mother’s credit card.Thinks a noyangjin Paris Hilton.” The interviewer must have been thinking ‘that sounds just like you’, but she doesn’t interject, instead lets him finish- something Kibum appreciates.
“From the beginning I wanted to make the character I portray as realistic as possible. When I began acting in musicals I learned that embodying the character in a convincing way is just as important as portraying that character. I think the more realistic a character is, the more relate able they will be. And that’s what I want to show- a relate able character that reminds viewers of someone around them.” Ironic he says so, since the character was written with himself in mind. Ironic that he could get away with portraying himself--because the character is him after all-- he goes the extra mile to let fictional Kim Kibum live.
“ An example of me embodying my character is cutting my bangs into choppy layers, this makes Drinking Solo’s Kim Kibum memorable and also gives off the feeling that although he thinks he’s trendy--others don’t agree. On  a side note, many of my friends teased at this choppy bangs style, so I think it worked? On top of that, the writer wanted to drive home how ‘trendy’ he was and wanted me to act the part by wearing a Gucci tracksuit. But that’s unrealistic, right? A truly fashionable person wouldn’t just change outfits regardless of the situation just because they can, they might wear several Adidas tracksuits instead.” He would know. He’s a truly fashionable person, right?
“Drinking Solo’s Kim Kibum wasn’t originally suppose to speak with satoori at first, but I really really wanted to be able to act in this accent  because I felt that it fit the character, I couldn’t see him not speaking satoori. So when I went to script reading I provided two versions of my lines, one in standard accent and the other with satoori. Luckily, the writer thoroughly enjoyed my alternate script and had me translate the others.” The thought has him beaming, more so because his screen debut had been heavily praised, a feat that didn’t accompany most idol turned actor until their fifth year if ever. And ontop of that- he debuted with a character inspired by himself and was able to tweak his speaking pattern.
“Um. I, uh. Can’t say much about our other similarities without ruing future episodes, but aside from speaking in satoori and being close to our late Grandmothers...”  A pause. Not awkward. But not comfortable either. Feline eyes are suddenly fluttering to the pen she uses to scribble down pieces of his winded answer. He silently wonders if she’s new, because she hardly ever seeks eye contact with him, shys away from it even.
“I feel as if he and I are more alike when I’m not working- in that I’m rather impulsive and do things without thinking. The script writer actually wrote him with me in mind, ha!” Her nod is expected and it comes as a gracefully bob of the head as if to say ‘I can tell’ and while he’s grateful for having a script writer think of him (can you believe it?) when crafting up a character, the drama hasn’t ended. The drama hadn’t shown fictional Kim Kibum’s inner layers, hadn’t show him vulnerable in his entirety. She has the wrong impression of him. Everyone does. And he forgives it. “There’s so much more that  ‘Drinking Solo’s’ Kibum has to show so please anticipate him!”

Fan sign | One Shot.
pairing: Min Yoongi x Reader words: 2125 words genre: fluff a/n: just some harmless fluff. will be putting out another oneshot this week! then working on sunflowers again! you have no idea how you let her convince you to go to this fan sign but here you were and all you could think about was how you possibly made the guy you liked mad at you for being there.
“You looked beautiful today,” came the smooth, deep voice. His voice always did wonders to you. Put you to sleep, turned you on, calmed you down. Everything. “Thanks for sending the pictures, I needed a pick me up of your amazing face, it’s been a long day,” said Yoongi and you chuckled a little in response to his words. “Shut up,” you responded. The one downfall to this all was that you’d never seen him in person. You barely knew what he did for a career, where he lived, what his favorite color was, you didn’t see his face (not even once this whole year of talking), you only heard his voice. And saw his dick on a few occasions when he would hop on skype for a quick session. But that was it. You had no idea who this guy was in real life. Besides knowing what his voice sounded like. It irritated you but he wouldn’t give anything up and you stupidly liked having someone unbiased to talk to. He was kind and allowed you to cry to him when you were stressed and broken. He helped you through so many work emergencies and shitty days dealing with your equally shitty family. Yoongi was a blessing. You met him at a bar almost a year ago, you two had this fantastically long talk about life and you two kissed but when you woke up the next morning in your bed with Jennie whining about burning her bacon in the next room, you couldn’t remember his face. All you had was his number and the memory of his sweet voice that made you feel safe and easy. And from that day on, you talked to Yoongi nearly daily. He was your rock. The person who made you forget about the struggles your life held and made you experience some amazing things. Even though you knew close to nothing about him, you wouldn’t give Yoongi up for anything. You twirled a piece of your hair around your finger like a school girl as you listened to him type away at his computer, quietly grunting and sighing when something wasn’t going right (or so you assumed). He spent a lot of time at his computer so you assumed he must be an IT guy for a corporation that you knew. “How’s work?” you asked, in hopes that he’d slip up and you weren’t disappointed. Yoongi let out a groan then began speaking to you. “I’ve been trying to get this part right for the past two days and it’s just not fitting. I don’t want to go and record it again because then it might screw up everything else and Joon is already freaking out about it being late,” he stated as you heard him hit one of the keys repeatedly. “I’m trying hard to get this out for tomorrow but I feel like I’m just not going to get it done. If he doesn’t get it my boss is going to rip me a new one for pushing back the deadline again,” a sigh came through his line once more and you gnawed on your bottom lip. “Let me come over and-“ “We’ve talked about this… It’s not that I don’t want to see you or hold you or touch you, but it wouldn’t be wise to let you come into my world,” his words stung but you heard them so many times before. He was cautious over something that didn’t make sense to you at all. “I know you are sick and tired of only talking on the phone, Y/N, but this is the closest I’ve been to someone in a long time and I want to enjoy it for a long time… Like I said, you don’t have to keep up with this,” his voice was weak towards the end. You huffed a little and laid on your side, shaking your head even though you knew he couldn’t see you at all. “Yoongi, I’m not abandoning you now. I’m just as far into this as you are. It’s almost a year. Let me send you something for that at least? Since we can’t see each other, I at least want you to have a nice gift.” He was reluctant but in the end he agreed to it and gave you some post office box address. The sun’s rays were hitting your face when you woke up and you let out a soft moan of despair as  you turned around in bed. You stayed up with Yoongi until nearly three in the morning, you chided him for staying up that late to work but he just insisted that he did it so many times that it didn’t really bother him. You two mostly stayed quiet, you piping up to tell him something that had happened during your day every so often just to remind him that you were there. It was a peaceful night and you ended up falling asleep to him typing away. You reached over to your bedside table to check your phone and noticed a text from one of your friends from work. from: Jennie K. 7:45 AM. I GOT INTO THE BTS FANSIGN FOR LATER TODAY. I HAVE TWO TICKETS TO GET IN. Come with me? It was hard to deny her when she was so excited, so you sent a small thumbs up emoji in response then went to get ready for the day. Your shower was short and your breakfast was shorter (toast with raspberry jam). Jennie had been obsessed with this idol group for months, you weren’t completely excited about it since the amount of incredibly young fangirls was crazy, but you liked their music and getting an album signed by them would be excited. Your favorite member was Suga (you didn’t take your time to learn their real names like everyone else, it was too much for a newbie fan like yourself). His voice reminded you of Yoongi’s (eerily familiar actually), and some nights you’d listen to First Love on repeat until you passed out. You never told Yoongi because he always got a little jealous at you bringing up other boy groups. (You didn’t admit it often but you were getting pretty into BTS as of late) At quarter to one pm, Jennie came to pick you up. She blasted their lasted album the whole ride there and gave you one of hers to use for the signing. Your mind wandered to Yoongi as you sat there and sent him a quick text. to: Yoongs. 12:56 PM. I’m going to a fan sign today with Jennie, pray for me, pls. You were shocked to get a response almost immediately since Yoongi always seemed too busy to talk during the day sometimes (especially lately). from: Yoongs. 12:57 PM. what group. to: Yoongs. 12:59 PM. BTS, that really cool hip hop group that came out with the wicked mv a week ago. She’s been really keeping me in the loop with them lately so I decided to go. from: Yoongs. 1:00 PM. I think you should just skip it. Those are a waste of time. You glared down at your phone. Seriously? He was raving about having to go to one as a kid but now he was trying to get you to skip it? No way. He had no idea how rare this was. You didn’t get to go to these and it was your first time, you were going to enjoy the hell out of it. to: Yoongs. 1:05 PM. Too bad. I’m going. Have fun at work. You pushed your phone into your bag before huffing softly and looking out the windshield. You didn’t care about his opinion, not at all. He didn’t know what kind of experience this was going to be. Plus, it didn’t hurt to go since all the members were incredibly attractive. You couldn’t wait to actually meet an idol group. Your job didn’t pay you much, you got to buy an album once in a while but you never got to go to a concert, never went to a fan sign, never met an idol, nothing. This was all so new to you and you weren’t going to skip out on it because the guy you were harboring feelings for didn’t like that you were going to be near attractive guys. As expected, there were far too many girls there and they all looked so much younger than you. You stood at the back of the line while Jennie had rushed to get within the first few. She gave you a thumbs up as the boys came out and almost instantly you felt as if all their eyes landed on you. You swallowed and watched as the youngest pulled the leader in to whisper something into his ear. You scowled. Were they always this weird? They probably saw some familiar sasaeng behind you or something. Not your problem. When you got up to go, a security guard pulled you off to the side and asked for you to wait out in a small room off in the back. For some questioning by their managers. What the actual fuck. This was not how you planned your day. Did they think you were one of those crazy fans? Oh my god, was some crazy girl catfishing you? Jesus. Just your luck. Once in the back room you pulled out your phone and texted Yoongi. to: Yoongs. 2:03 PM. I’m being questioned soon by the idols managers… I think someone might be setting me up or something. I’ve literally never once seen them before and I’ve only bought one album. You waited five mintues before texting him again. So, he was free earlier but not now? Especially when he could probably find a way to get you out of this? to: Yoongs. 2:08 PM. Yoongi, c’mon, just answer me.. I’m seriously so scared right now. I have no one to talk to. You got an incoming call from the man in question and you quickly answered it, relieved to be able to hear his voice. “They all recognized you from the photos I show them,” came the familiar voice and your eyebrows knitted together. “They didn’t want you to out me while at the fan sign.” “What are you talking about?” You turned when you heard the door open behind you and saw the sleek rapper of the group standing there, phone to his ear. “I’m the guy you’ve been talking to for nearly a year.” “Seriously?” you asked as you walked over to him, a little shock and awe evident in your voice as you looked him over. “I’ve done some seriously naughty things over Skype to a famous person,” you muttered before breaking out into laughter. The soft laugh from Yoongi caught your attention and you looked back at him. “Why didn’t you just tell me… I don’t think it would have been that bad,” you whispered. “I was scared you’d think you couldn’t be yourself because of who I am and I wanted to experience all of you. When I met you at the bar that night, I was so fucking thankful you didn’t remember my face the next day. You were so beautiful and so eccentric, but in a good way. I loved your passion and I loved your drive and I just was dying to experience everything with you. But then we had a comeback and I didn’t want to have shit happen because fans saw us together. You were going through so much with your mom and…” He lost his train of thought as he looked at you and for once in your life you felt as if he could see right into your soul. You stepped forward, as did he, and his hands moved to wrap around you, pulling you close against his chest. “I’ve just wanted to enjoy the time I had with you before I told you and you left my side.” “You think so lowly of me, Yoongi, I’d never do that. I’ve liked you for so damn long that even if you ended up being an incredibly dorky, IT guy, I’d still want you. You being an idol doesn’t mean anything to me,” you whispered as you leaned up to press a kiss to his lips, cupping his cheeks in your hands as his hold on you tightened by a fraction. When you pulled back you heard some hollers from the hallway and looked out, immediately seeing the six other group members. “Oh my god,” you whined and covered your face in his neck. His light, deep laugh made your heart leap. Maybe going to fan signs weren’t all too bad.
