I need to get this out there while it's still fresh.
Had a weirdass dream where I was in an airport with my husband and our fussy child, and the only way to calm her down was role-playing Cloud Strife(husband) and Zack(me) on an "important mission", with homoerotic banter subtext.
I've never played a Final Fantasy game or watched someone else play one, I didn't even know I knew these character's names. WHERE the fuck did that come from.

who is james cobb... i played inscryption and never heard of him... please tell me all about him i love characters with little to know information
the reason for that would be because he's barely in the actual game!! he is from, of all things, the console arg
the gist is he was one of magnificus' students (ruby mage), but he actively enjoyed the fucked up torture mag put him through. which mag did not like. so he shipped james off to p03 and so he could replace him!
so. issue with his time with p03 is that he's not a robot, thus the scanner doesn't work. so he willingly let himself be slowly converted into a robot by the mycologists! it didn't work though so p03 ripped off his head and chucked it into the melter. this doesn't kill him though they sorta just merge together. this is why the melter is like that in the game!
thennn p03 needed a use for the rest of james' body. so it stuck a gun onto his body in place of his head ! that version of james becomes plasma jimmy, that one random card later on in the game! he did choose this name himself which i find delightful
and that is what we know about him! his wiki page has what little bits of dialogue there are referencing him if youre curious about that. anyway. something wrong with him (said so affectionately)
