It was still fairly cold in Spain, but Andrina always seemed to find herself at the beach if they ever traveled anywhere near a coast. After stealing a towel from the hotel, that and a book were all she needed, so it wasn’t long until she was lounging on the sand flipping through the book. She’d been there maybe a few minutes when she saw someone walk up to her. “If you’re about to tell me that I should get my head out of my book, I will quickly remind you that I’m enjoying the beach, aren’t I?”

As much as Angel thought she was used to the new life with her family in Manhattan or her time at WDPA, there always seemed to be a new surprise around every corner. She figured she’d never get used to traveling the world--first Tokyo, then Berlin, and now Barcelona? She wandered a little bit from the group she had been shopping with, her eyes moving around the buildings, to the shops and the people. When her gaze fell on a familiar face, she smiled. “I know we’ve only been here one day, but I think this is about to be my favorite trip so far.”

Kiara took a seat at the bar on her own. Exploring Barcelona was fun, but she was in desperate need of a drink. The bartender started speaking fast Spanish, sliding a drink her way, and Kiara raised an eyebrow. “Hey,” she said to the person next to her, tapping their shoulder, “do you have any clue what this guy is saying? Going out by myself without knowing Spanish was probably a bad idea.”

Don straightened the tickets before carefully placing them on the inside of his jacket. He had been looking forward to the event ever since the Academy announced their destination; he knew he would not only enjoy the music, but have something else that night that he was looking forward to. It thankfully didn’t take long to find her, and Don took a moment to watch her before actually walking up towards her. “I could not have asked for a better moment.” He looked at Coco with a smile, slightly bowing his head down as a greeting. “I do believe there is a long overdue evening between us. How are you enjoying the city?”

Lucian looked at himself in the mirror for what seemed the twentieth time that hour. Although his hair was cooperating, there was something else he wasn’t completely sure about before stepping out of the room; the sight of dark hair passing through the open door caught his attention through the mirror’s reflection. “Diana.” He called out, turning around to face his sister. “I am in need of your honest opinion about this particular jacket.”

“So I asked the bartender to recommend a drink for me because everything was written in Spanish and he gave me a drink on the house. I think it’s called Leche de Pantera or something.”, Shenzi told the person sitting next to her before taking another sip of her drink. “I swear, this is my fourth- no wait, fifth glass and it’s the best thing I have ever tasted.”

Ellie pulled the hat over her head, unable to keep from chuckling as she realized she looked like Paddington...although, that may not prove to be a bad thing. She was about to turn towards the saleswoman and ask her about the price, when she accidentally bumped into the person beside her. “Lo siento...” She spoke in a small, embarrassed voice; looking up at them with worry before realizing they too came with the Academy. “I–I mean, I’m sorry.”

“Barcelona, estoy listo para ti!”, Gadget yelled in the middle of Ciutadella Park as she raised her arms. Before she could place her arms down to reach for her brochure, she felt a pair of eyes staring at her. “Golly, did I say that wrong? Lo siento.”

“Have ya tried this Crema Catalana? It’s amazin’!” Trusty held out the dessert with a smile. “C’mon, ya gotta try it! I’ve had like... maybe five servin’s?”

“Hermanita, ¿no me quieres acompañar por unos churros?” Héctor came up to his sister, excited to taste one of his favorite foods that both this and his home country had in common. “They have hot chocolate too, we need plenty of sugar and energy to go exploring.”

“You know that Fleetwood Mac song?” Gemma said between sips of her drink, taking a moment to look out the window at Barcelona’s glowing night life. “Time makes you bolder,” she paused to take another sip, “I’m gettin’ older too...” She wasn’t a great singer by any means, but her mumbling was somewhat magical nonetheless. But, being a bit drunk, she had to break the spell with a bit of a joke. “I’m feeling that song in this Wendy’s tonight.”

The last time Astrid saw Sky, her memory was a little blurry. She remembered reciting Romeo and Juliet to her, and then kissing her, but after is where it got fuzzy. Even now, she wasn’t sure how she would have reacted, but a part of her brain reminded her that she’d run off. Astrid had been mentally kicking herself ever since, but she knew she needed to face Sky eventually. As if the universe were reading her mind, she nearly ran into the other girl. “Hi...”

“Elena, did they speak Spanish in Avalor?” Kiara asked, a smile on her face, “because I’m desperate for a translator. Do you wanna go out on the town with me tonight? A little birdie told me the legal drinking age in Barcelona is 18, if you’re down,” she grinned, wrapping an arm around Elena’s shoulder.

“KIAAAAAAA.” Bella ran mid-scream in hopes of not tackling the girl down with the hug she was about to give her. “Please tell me your only plan today is to be around the coolest person in the country because she’s literally clinging on to you right now.”

Coming to a halt in the middle of the street. Lucian looked down at his phone with a slight frown, wondering if he was actually managing to correctly translate the instructions to English. He had enjoyed walking through Barcelona’s night scene, but Lucian was growing impatient at the fact he still hadn't found the speakeasy a good friend at his firm had highly recommended to him. At least it still was fairly early.

He sighed as he pulled out his cigarette case, at least he would have a distraction. Taking a long drag and focusing on the smoke in front of his face, Lucian managed to spot a certain blonde walking towards him, he put his phone away and shot her a polite smile.

“I was not expecting to encounter anyone so soon; good evening, Cornelia.”
