With collaborations popping up throughout the pandemic, and exciting new beer trends always on the radar of beer experts, itâs safe to say that beer has maintained its relevance during the ongoing pandemic.
With Covid-19 constantly changing the world of craft beer and beyond, it often feels difficult to keep up with all that is new and noteworthy in beer. But not to fear: There is an ever-expanding network of beer lovers and educators online who are keeping their followers in the know. Scrubbing through some old photos from the summer and came across this tasty @cloudwaterbrew IPA. I was drinking these regularly during those seemingly endless days. They come in at less than 7%, which is okay in my book, more of that please. I miss those beers, but think I miss the sun more. I want to share some things with yâall, but first I want to remind you that DIVERSITY DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY ENCOMPASS INCLUSION AND EQUITY. (Sorry not sorry for yelling.)â â Diversity is the variations of different characteristics in a group of people- race, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender, religion, + more. It is not enough to have a diverse staff. It means nothing if your employees do not feel safe, welcome, equally respected, and heard. â â Recently a lot of consumers have become more interested in supporting diversely owned brands. On the other hand, people are starting to wonder which companies are *actually* inclusive. If you are truly curious about these things but donât know where to start, the first thing you can do is LISTEN. Do not promise to stop supporting a business or an individual, then make excuses when you are informed of inexcusable behavior. You are not an ally. â The next thing you can do is READ + PAY ATTENTION. Step outside of your bubble and be aware of whatâs going on around you. There are plenty of resources out there to keep yourself informed- make an effort to be informed.â â *Please keep in mind that in certain cases it may be the act of one or two bad employees. It is how the company confronts and handles the situation that is important to take note of. â We all fuck up. Personally, I believe itâs important to admit your mistake, genuinely apologize, and make a *real* effort to change the company culture and do BETTER.â â Check my stories for examples of how you can stay informed on the topics of DEI + breweries.

Scrubbing through some old photos from the summer and came across this tasty @cloudwaterbrew IPA. I was drinking these regularly during those seemingly endless days. They come in at less than 7%, which is okay in my book, more of that please. I miss those beers, but think I miss the sun more. Shout out to @seanislegend for inspiring the carousel joining of photos 2 and 3, always love when he does that. If you’re not following him you should, he captures some amazing stuff.

I want to share some things with y’all, but first I want to remind you that DIVERSITY DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY ENCOMPASS INCLUSION AND EQUITY. (Sorry not sorry for yelling.)⠀ ⠀ Diversity is the variations of different characteristics in a group of people- race, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender, religion, + more. It is not enough to have a diverse staff. It means nothing if your employees do not feel safe, welcome, equally respected, and heard. ⠀ ⠀ Recently a lot of consumers have become more interested in supporting diversely owned brands. On the other hand, people are starting to wonder which companies are *actually* inclusive. If you are truly curious about these things but don’t know where to start, the first thing you can do is LISTEN. Do not promise to stop supporting a business or an individual, then make excuses when you are informed of inexcusable behavior. You are not an ally. ⠀ The next thing you can do is READ + PAY ATTENTION. Step outside of your bubble and be aware of what’s going on around you. There are plenty of resources out there to keep yourself informed- make an effort to be informed.⠀ ⠀ *Please keep in mind that in certain cases it may be the act of one or two bad employees. It is how the company confronts and handles the situation that is important to take note of. ⠀ We all fuck up. Personally, I believe it’s important to admit your mistake, genuinely apologize, and make a *real* effort to change the company culture and do BETTER.⠀ ⠀ Check my stories for examples of how you can stay informed on the topics of DEI + breweries.
