THANK YOU YUZU

After watching WC 2019 (and all the drama going on), there is nothing I could say but thank you to Yuzuru Hanyu, the Greatest Of All Time.

if anyone were to ask me what figure skating is all about, I would show them Yuzuru Hanyu’s programs, because he is what figure skating is all about: executing difficult technical elements with grace, attention to music, interpretation, story telling, connecting with audience, he is all of that and more.

I remember watching him for the first time when 2017 WC FS came on my youtube feed. The 4.5 minute was all it took for me to become hooked to Figure skating, because it was so beautiful, graceful and full of emotions. I think everyone who watch Hanyu skate feels different emotions, but in the end, it touches the bottom of our hearts. 

I have learnt so much from him. Everytime I make excuses for my failures, everytime I feel like its too hard and want to give up, I remember him. He does not make excuses when he has every valid reason to do so. He does not stop when so many obstacles lay in his way. What excuses do we have to not be a better self?

He is truely an inspiration, not only because of his career and successes, but as a human being. He has so much I can learn from. So strong and fierce, yet gentle. So accomplished, yet humble and grateful. He is truely a treasure. 

Haters can badmouth about him, they can spread rumors about him, they can speak lies about him, they can strip him official results and medals, they can say he’s not good enough. BUT WE KNOW. 

But he is a hero, legend, a myth, a king. No one can strip him of the history he has made, the effects he has had in many’s lives like mine. HE IS LOVED AND RESPECTED BY MANY. This will never change.

「日本開催ということで、家族や友達、たくさんの方が見に来てくださるし、大きな会場で試合が出来るので、すごく盛り上がると思うんですけど、ワクワクしていますし、その中で、今まで自分が取り組んできたことを、本番で出すというのが成し遂げたいことです」と思いを述べた。

　会見前の公式練習では、安定感のある連続３回転ジャンプを跳び「調子事態は悪くない」。１４年、浅田真央以来の日本選手の優勝についての話題には「表彰台に乗りたいって気持ちもないことはないけど、今は自分がやってきたことを本番でやるということしか考えていない」と平常心で臨むとした。

“Having this season’s WC in Japan, many people including family and friends will come watch us. Saitama Super Arena is a huge venue, I’m sure it’ll be such a blast and I’m excited about it. And there, what I want to achieve is to  deliver what I’ve worked on till now in my actual performance.”

At the official practice before the press conference, she landed stable triple combinations. She said, “My condition itself isn’t bad.” When asked about a potential Japanese ladies victory (which hasn’t happened) since Mao Asada in 2014, she expressed that she'd be her usual self (for the competition). “I won’t deny that I’d like to podium, but all I have in mind right now is that I’ll just do what I’ve done in my actual performance.”

I am disgusted at how JSF treats their athletes.

Yuzuru Hanyu is a treasure to figure skating and all his fans love and support him dearly, but because most of us is unlikely to tell him personally how much he means in our lives we throw poohs to show him how much he is loved and supported. And after that Nathan's coach, Raf, has accused these tangible symbols of love as something used as some sort of weapon to emotionally disturbed/destable his skaters, JSF is now putting the blame on Yuzu being loved.

There are so many 'real' issues that should be addressed: incorrect and biased scoring, abuses happening on ice etc and what they choose to do is to point their guns inwards aiming at what should be their greatest gem and pride. Worse of all, the VP of JSF themselves retweets a video filming the pooh rain at WC.

BUT YOU WERE THE ONE THAT DIDNT ALLOW FAN FILMING IN THE ARENA?!?!?!?!?!

What more does he have to do to get the respect of his people?!?!

He is shedding blood sweat and tears for Japan and the first to disrespect him and put him down is always JSF. ARE THEY THAT SCARED OF USFED?!
