Just some thoughts after re-watching the show once more. Shiv would step over everyone and everything to get what she wants. She is willing to sacrifice her husband. When she talks with Logan in S2XE10 after her talk with Tom, we see that she has already suggested Kendall to her father. First episode of S3 she is willing to abandon her father if her brother gives her the top spot. She thinks that Gerri is not good enough even though she has much much much more experience and she knows her pebbles. Shiv keeps being ironic when people try to show her/ teach her things about their job. She was in PR she has no clue what a company is and how it runs. Running a company is more than being cocky. Yet at the end of the season she tells Roman not to trust their dad. If the positions were different she would have gone with Logan. She would have fucked over her siblings to get the top spot. If someone at any point during the series didn't agree with her and supported their side or Logan, she mocked them. Yet she trashed Kendall with the open letter. What Ken did was terrible but that open letter could literally be the last thing he read knowing his state of mind.

Logan does like how strong she is. He does see however how she would treat her siblings. He might have a complex relationship with his brother but it appears that Logan always put his family first. He didn't let them starve even if they did nothing for the company. He gave them shares and seats at the table. Shiv would not do that. She puts herself first. Which is not bad but at the same time her father wants her to realize that family will always be there. Shiv think she needs no one. And the fact that she would throw everyone under the bus so she would get the top spot is the reason she won't get it. Or that is what I think

tara overheard the woman say to herself. mind your business, tara told herself. she wasn’t supposed to be eavesdropping anyway. it would be weird. but still tara had a sinking feeling in her stomach. she didn’t know where it came from. the want for someone to feel like they can be a good person. it overpowered her trying to keep herself quiet. “hey, um.. i know you don’t know me.” tara started off after taking off the one earphone that was in her ears. “but, i think you can be a good person. just because people do bad things doesn’t make you a bad person.”

audrey was typing away on her laptop. her mind was running busy with preparing proposals for a company to partner. sure, she could have asked an associate to take care of it, but audrey liked doing these kinds of things for herself. if you want it done right, do it yourself. she always thought. she was almost startled when she noticed shiv in the room. “oh my gosh, you startled me. what are you doing up still?” she had asked the other woman, even though it was a bit hypocritical as she herself was also up at this late hour working.
