Waverly is cleaning the counter as Rachel and Nedley go to the basement to get more booze. That’s how Nicole finds her when she arrives at Shorty’s. She leans on the door, hat in her hand, and she greets her wife.

“Hey, babe.”

Waverly smiles bright at her.

“I see Shorty’s still has wet t-shirt competitions...” she says as she starts moving towards the counter. “Although this is nothing compared to how wet you were last night.” She says with a smirk as she puts her hat on the counter and she leans forward to kiss her wife.

“Yeah, I admit, I had a craaazy night.” Waverly plays along as she leans back.

“Glad I was there to see it.” There goes that smirk again. “Anyways.... can I get a cappuccino to go?”

“Oh, I’m sorry. We’re not open yet.”

“Right, my bad... now that I think about it, you’ve been open all night long, so... I should probably give you a break.” She says only a few inches from Waverly’s face.

Neither one of them hears Rachel and Nedley getting back from downstairs, so they just keep on flirting.

“But, you know, if you ever needed help getting out of that wet t-shirt...”

“You think you could help me with that, sheriff?” Now it’s Waverly’s turn to smirk.

“Rachel, what is going on?” Nedley asks her as they stand by the basement door.

“Let’s just hope they don’t do it on the counter...”

“Huh?” Nedley looks at her not quite understanding what she means. But then it clicks. “Oh.... Oh. Nope, not in my bar. There’s a limit to what a man should see.” He says. Then he clears his throat to get the women’s attention. “I’m sorry ladies, I’m afraid you’ve mistaken this place for the Glory Hole...”

Waverly and Nicole part very quickly when they hear his voice. Turning a deep shade of red, they both apologize.

“I should probably get back to the station.” Nicole says grabbing her hat from the counter and leaning over to give Waverly a sweet kiss.

“Wait, what about your coffee?” Waverly asks as Nicole starts walking towards the door.

“Oh, maybe some other time...”

“How about tonight?” Waverly offers with a smirk.

“Perfect.” She winks as she puts her hat on and leaves.

To everyone talking shit about Waverly taking off her shirt when she first meet Nicole like "she knew what she was doing, what was she going to change into?" Literally her Shorty's t-shirt was on the counter behind her... just saying.

I often read in fanfiction that Nicole sometimes lets slip a southern accent. Since english is not my first language, i can't tell one accent from the other, so i was wondering if it is canon in the show that Nicole sometimes has a south accent or if it's just a common thing in ff. In the first case, can you tell me a particular scene in which you can hear this accent?

Hey anon, try checking out the famous wayhaught bar scene in season 1 episode 2 (at 13:35), you can kind of hear it there. It is even more obvious in season 1 episode 8 when Nicole is in the hospital (at 11:45) so that would probably be the best example of what the fic writers are referring to.
