XVI: Bonded
Your clothes dropped to the floor with a soft thump, rimming around your ankles as your eyes briefly looked over your nude body in front of the mirror. You could hardly see yourself since the fog around the edges of the surface crawled until it completely engulfed it. Even a brief wipe on the mirror did nothing to deter the fogginess. As long as you were near the hot springs, you figured it would be like this. You gathered your clothes, folded them, and left them on top of a table.
In your peripherals, you spotted Ochako approaching you, cautiously and light on her feet. Like she was hunting you or something, but she was really nervous to speak to you. She pulled you aside earlier today to talk to you about what you stumbled upon. You were with Katsuki at the time, so you told her later before the bathing ceremony. It was another one of the wolves’ traditions before the wedding day, which was tomorrow. You found it was similar to bachelor and bachelorette parties instead the bride and her friends and the groom and his friends would hang out in the hot springs the night before. Their last night before becoming bonded.
“Are you mad at me…?” Ochako’s wolf ears were pulled back and her tail hung low and limp behind her. Even her natural curls in her hair seemed dull. Although it could be the surrounding humidity being the cause.
“I’m not mad,” the image of Ochako on top of Izuku resurfaced in your head, “just surprised.”
“Izuku and I wanted to keep it a secret especially with what’s been going on in the pack. We just thought it would cause trouble.”
“It’s okay. It’s none of my business anyway.”
“Then why does your tone sound short with me?” A whimper left Ochako. She was biting her bottom lip.
“It was awkward seeing you guys like that, but I’m not mad, really, I’m not.” It was true. There wasn’t a hint of anger within you. You kind of just wanted to forget what you saw.
“Hmm,” another whimper, “okay then…”
Ochako then left you alone, turning around and disappearing in the heavy steam coming from the outside. You followed after her shortly, exiting the cave and walking through the steam. The deeper you went the less opaque your surroundings became until it revealed large pools of water with stones and large rock formations curbing the edge. The surrounding trees were slanted forward while it’s branches and leaves enclosed like a curtain sufficing the perfect privacy.
Mitsuki, Mina, Kyoka, Momo, and Tsuyu were already relaxing in one of the pools, deep in conversation. Ochako was climbing in, toes first, her worries melting from her expression, at least temporary. When the rest of the girls spotted you standing by the pool they beckoned for you to come and you listened. Mimicking Ochako, your toes touched the water first and already you felt its hotness that you yelped and pulled your feet out.
Mitsuki laughed.
“Just throw your whole body in! You’ll adjust!” Mina said with a grin.
You doubted her words but followed it anyway. You couldn’t hold back the painful groan that left you. Through gritted teeth, you submerged your legs in the water and walked through with until you sat between Mina and Mitsuki. It was only a couple of seconds until your body adjusted to the heat and you returned a smile towards Mina.
“This is nice…” you sighed, already feeling the heat penetrate your strained muscles.
“I knooooow. I needed this. Especially after dealing with all that set up for tomorrow,” Mitsuki moaned and sunk deeper into the water. Her skin was flushed pink from the heat. It was amazing how good her skin looked for her age, not a single wrinkle in it.
“I’m excited! It’s been a while since we had a wedding. Last one was…”
“Mine!” Mina interjected Momo, raising her hand in the air.
“Oh, that was a blast. Remember when Eijirou started crying as soon as he saw you?” Kyoka laughed.
“Oh, Eijirou cried his eyes out! But that was very sweet of him.”
“You were beautiful that day. I don’t blame him.” Momo smiled softly.
Mina giggled, “If I wasn’t pink already! Well, now it’s ____’s turn tomorrow. Nervous?” She turned to you, leaning until her shoulder briefly bumped yours. Tsuyu already pulled herself from the water and sat on the rocks with her legs still half in. She fanned her hot cheeks, thin tongue flat on her bottom lip as you could swear you heard a small “ribbit” from her.
“Um, is it obvious?” You chuckled to hide the nerves that resurfaced whenever you thought about the wedding.
“There’s nothing to be nervous about. You’re just marrying my loud-mouth son.”
“I understand why you would feel that way.” Momo also pulled herself from the water. “Being bonded is not easy. You can’t just think about yourself anymore.”
“Yeah and wait until children come in the picture,” Mina sighed.
“You and Katsuki were waiting until the wedding night, right?” You didn’t think your cheeks could get any warmer until you heard Ochako’s question.
“Ooooh yeah, are you ready?” Mitsuki nudged your shoulder with her elbow.
“I—yeah I am… Actually, I was wondering… do you guys have any advice for that night? I never had sex before—like I know what to expect but I don’t want to seem inexperience.”
“You shouldn’t worry about that. Just have fun,” Kyoka shrugged.
“Well, one advice I can think of is if you like it, don’t hesitate to give him a scratch or two,” Mitsuki smirked.
“Maybe even a bite! You won’t regret it,” said Mina.
“It’s a huge compliment. We love scratching and biting during sex. It’s how we show if we’re enjoying it or not,” Momo added.
“I’m sure Katsuki will take good care of you. Maybe be honest about how you’re feeling at the moment too.” Tsuyu dipped back into the water.
“If anything, the only thing you should worry about is becoming pregnant.” Pregnancy? It was something you didn’t consider a possibility. “Katsuki was conceived on our first night being bonded. I’ll never forget the look on Masaru’s face when I told him I was pregnant weeks after. He was so happy but so terrified at the same time.”
“On your first night?!”
“Yeah, now you and Katsuki will be living away from us for a few weeks so plenty of time for me to finally become a grandma!” Mitsuki looked genuinely excited but her words had worried you. It was a tradition after the ceremony for newlyweds to live away from the pack for a few weeks to enjoy their time alone—an equivalent to a honeymoon. You had no doubt you and Katsuki would be sexually active during those few weeks, but pregnancy and children was something you didn’t even think of. You weren’t even sure if Katsuki wanted children so soon.
“But it’s not like I’ll get pregnant during that time, right…?”
The women looked to one another, their expressions unreadable. It worried you to no end until Mina spoke up.
“Um—Well, things happen, you know? You don’t really know when it happens but the more you do it, the more chances you’ll have.”
Tsuyu nodded, “but it’s nothing to really worry about. You have Katsuki and us to help you if that happens.”
“Okay…” you gulped. Fuck. You really didn’t think that far, but now you seriously had to. It wasn’t just marrying Katsuki because you love him but creating a partnership that’ll help you grow as a person and possibly a family. You never thought of yourself as a mother and wasn’t sure if you could even handle it. It was a conversation worth talking about with Katsuki.
After the hot springs, you said your good nights to the girls and retreated to your cave. Katsuki wasn’t there so you assumed he was still at the springs with his friends. You decided to go to bed before him and crawl under the sheep wool covers.
But you couldn’t fall asleep. You were anxious, of course. Tomorrow, you were to become a bride, a wife to a wolf. But it wasn’t just any wolf but one who was a descendant from Fenrir and the future leader of the largest wolf pack on this side of the planet, and you would also be considered a future leader once you marry him. It was why some wolves were still against it. They didn’t want to take orders from a human. You understood that.
Most of the pack decided to tolerate it. They were more loyal to Katsuki and the Fenrir bloodline and if that’s what he decided, they would go along with it. Some even used the argument that Fenrir’s wife was human, so it was permissible for Katsuki to marry you. The few who were against the wedding were given permission to leave the pack until they were ready to return. Mitsuki would accept them with open arms.
“You awake?” You jumped slightly as you felt Katsuki climb into bed. He expected to find you asleep, but you were lying in bed with the covers over your body and you were staring at the burning candles on the table. You felt his heavy arm hook around your waist and turn you around to face him. You felt your cheeks warm up. Gosh, there was just something about seeing a shirtless Katsuki in dim lighting with the shadows hitting his face and muscles just right.
“Yeah I am. How was the spring?”
You soon felt his fingers in your hair and his face moved close, then you felt his lips touch yours, kissing you lightly but with a sort of aggression that only seem to fit Katsuki. He even let out a growl when he pulled away like he was reluctant to do so but had to. He didn’t move far but stayed close enough for you to feel his breath. You also felt his tail wagging as it would smack against your thigh sporadically—the only indication that he was happy right now.
“Good. Were you waiting up for me?” You realized Katsuki’s skin was still moist from the springs when you stroke the side of his arm.
“Not really, couldn’t sleep,” you started drawing circles in his skin with your finger.
“Thinking about tomorrow?”
Your eyes flickered up to find Katsuki’s glowing red ones with a hint of gold reflecting in them from the candle flames.
“Yeah… Can’t believe it. Kind of feels like it was yesterday when I met you.”
“Yeah…” his fingers lightly brushed your arm. He looked tired. “You’re scared?”
You laughed.
“More nervous actually—Don’t worry, I’m not going to leave you at the altar or something—I’m just a bit worried about becoming a wife and a leader. You know—me being human and all.”
“You’re worried about that shit again? I told you—”
“I know what you told me. But you know I can’t help but think about it. I’m not insensitive like you,” you sighed. You didn’t mean to sound so harsh. Although, Katsuki was unaffected by your tone.
“You don’t have to think about being a wife or leader. Everything will be the same only that we’re bonded forever. Don’t let all these duties and those old jerks cloud that.” The ‘old jerks’ that Katsuki mentioned were the Elders. The Elders were advisors to the pack leaders. They usually like to give their opinions on what goes on in the pack, but the leaders have the final say. You met them a couple of days after the party and it was a group that consisted of four men and four women, all elderly, hence the name ‘The Elders’, and you remembered that they didn’t stop pestering you about your studies about the wolves’ culture and surprisingly, baby plans. They even questioned whether or not you were pregnant now. The nerve of them!
“I can’t believe they asked if I was pregnant.”
“I don’t blame them. We don’t wait until marriage to mate. You probably would’ve been a mother already.”
You looked at Katsuki through wide eyes. He was just telling the truth but something about it unsettled you. You weren’t ready to be a mother and won’t be for a couple of years.
“I can’t imagine myself… pregnant,” you mumbled. “Do you even want children, Katsuki?”
You thought you should have this conversation with him since there was a good chance of you conceiving on the wedding night.
Katsuki shifted slightly to where his head was on the pillow and the arm around you started to squeeze your waist and his hand began to roam around your back. Whenever he did this, he was preparing to sleep.
“I wouldn’t mind having a few brats running around, you know…” he yawned, his large fangs on display for you.
“I don’t think I’ll be ready until—maybe, after a few years?”
“Take all the time you need… Don’t let those old jerks pressure you… I’ll wait…”
Before you knew it, he was snoring lightly, his eyes closed, and body limp. Katsuki was tired from everything he had to do today. Before he hung out with his friends in the springs, he helped the pack with the final preparations for tomorrow, setting up the stage, the sitting area, making sure everything was in order for you two to wed. So, it did not come as a surprise that Katsuki nearly knocked out the moment he climbed into bed.
You sighed softly, and you still couldn’t fall asleep.
You brought a hand to Katsuki’s cheek and softly caressed it. Your fingers touched his nose and parts of his lips. You then moved to buried them in his hair and as soon as you touched his wolf ears, they began to twitch. You smiled because you thought it was so cute. That wasn’t a word you normally used to describe Katsuki, but it definitely fit the situation.
You continued playing with Katsuki’s hair, waiting for sleep to claim you.
The echo sound of drums being beaten was what woke you out of your slumber. It was early in the morning, perhaps a few hours since the sun had risen. You heard your name being called and you opened your eyes and saw several wolf women surrounding you. You let out a gasp, bringing your covers over your chest when you noticed it had fallen when you sat up. You quickly looked to your right and noticed the space next to you was empty. Where was Katsuki?
“Sorry for scaring you,” one of them said, smiling lightly, wolf ears fluttering. “But you have to get ready for the ceremony.”
“Congratulations!” Each of them said immediately after, already pulling you up by your arms. Your covers dropped. You couldn’t shield yourself because they were still holding your arms. Even though they were women, you still felt self-conscious.
“Ah—wait, where’s Katsuki?”
“Future leader is already getting ready. You won’t see him until it’s time for the bond.”
The women then gathered some of your clean clothes, helping you dress before they pulled you towards the bathhouse. You were practically pushed into the baths, and they scrubbed and scrubbed on your arms and legs until you felt yourself turn raw.
“Humans have such soft skin,” one of them commented, seeing parts of your skin start to bruise before they dumped a large bucket of warm water on the top of your head. “Don’t worry, we have some cream that’ll make those go away.”
“You’re so lucky, miss, to be getting married to our future leader!” One of them gushed and the rest giggled.
“L-Lucky, really?” They brought you to your feet and helped you step out of the bath. They immediately began drying you with towels. You haven’t been this pampered since… never.
“Of course! Future leader is the descendant of Fenrir, the first wolf. There’s magic in his blood, you know.”
“And not only that, but he’s hot.”
“And I heard he’s good in bed.”
The women could not stop yammering about Katsuki even after they dressed you up in simple clothes and guided you back towards the mountain. Once they had you in a cave, they undressed you and moisturized your skin with that cream they spoke of and they sprayed an excessive amount of perfume all around your body including your inner thighs. They mentioned something about smelling delightful for the wedding night. You found yourself at their mercy as they sat you down in front of a mirror and began doing your makeup and hair. Slowly, you watched yourself transform. By the time they were done, you looked like a completely different person.
And then it was time for your dress that was custom fit to your size. The women mentioned that it was a dress designed specifically for Katsuki’s betrothed. As you looked in the mirror, you couldn’t believe the woman staring back was you. Not that you ever thought you were unattractive, but you have never seen yourself look this beautiful. Even the women who helped you dress were in awe of your beauty, soon telling you that it was Katsuki who was the lucky one.
The drums were louder outside. They echoed into the blue sky, absent with clouds as the sun shimmered brightly upon the mountain. There was no longer any snow except for the mountain tops and the temperature was the warmest it’s been since winter diminished. It was a glorious day to marry. Many of the wolves believed it was Fenrir himself, giving them his blessings.
Crowds of wolves had already gathered in the courtyard. It was a mixture of different packs from nearby lands that traveled far to see the descendant of Fenrir marry. The energetic Kaminari Clan, the strong Toshinari Clan, the mellow Aizawa Clan, the caring Ashido Clan, and more well-known packs were all here. And even though there were wolves who disagreed with who Katsuki was marrying in attendance, they respected his family line enough to be cordial. A wolf marrying a human hasn’t happened recently in modern times. In fact, in some packs, the hatred of humans was so severe that if caught having a relationship with one would lead to exile, hence becoming a lone wolf.
Regardless of their opinions, Katsuki was relieved that all seats were full. He was sitting cross-legged on a cushion on the stage, arms folded at his chest, while he waited for you to come out. He could see everyone’s faces from this height. His mother was sitting in the front row along with all the pack leaders and the Elders. The second row was family and friends—those who were close to him and you. He had to hold back his snarls when he saw Izuku next to Ochako. He hated that he came but it was what you wanted, and he wasn’t going to deny what you wanted on your wedding day. Surprisingly, the pack wasn’t so against having him here so at least his presence didn’t cause any problems.
Katsuki’s traditional garments were his usual but he was lathered in jewelry from necklaces to bangles. Black lines of paint from his forehead, over his eyes, to his chin and under. His left shoulder was red and swollen from the tattoo he received before dawn, an intricate silhouette design of Fenrir’s head surrounded by a border with rounded edges—a symbol that he’s a bonded member of his bloodline. And on top of his shoulders was the fur top of his red cape that draped the stage behind him dramatically.
To everyone, Katsuki looked like a powerful, stoic leader ready to be wed. But internally, Katsuki was nervous as any man on his wedding day. It was the feeling of butterflies in his stomach which he wouldn’t have been able to describe until this day. Katsuki of the Bakugo Clan, descendant of Fenrir, next in line for pack leader, had never been nervous before and he never thought he would ever be bombarded with these feelings because of a woman. Katsuki used to walk this earth untamed—no strong bonds that tethered him. He always expected to wed a random woman, probably forced to by the Elders because he was getting older and he needed to birth an heir. He never would’ve predicted that he would marry for love, nor did he desire to at that time.
But ever since he first saw you, there was a force that pulled him to you and he hasn’t been able to shake it off—not that he wanted to, of course—but it was a tether that connected you two, an unbreakable bond that would never sever even after death.
Katsuki looked up the moment he heard the drums slow to a steady beat. It could only mean one thing. You were coming out.
As if on cue, all the wolves turned their heads to look down the aisle.
Katsuki was quick on his feet, steady red eyes glued on you when he saw you standing at the end of the aisle. Oh, his heart fluttered wildly at the sight of you, palms clammy like fire had come from his fingertips. You were the moon to him, beautiful with a glow that had him staring for ages. Apparent, even in the darkest of surroundings. Full, in the shape of your hips in your mostly white dress where the hue changed to a fiery orange-red at the bottom—like fire lilies, like his eyes, his cape. At that moment, he questioned if you were real because he couldn’t believe such a woman like you would be by his side willingly.
When you started to slowly walk towards the stage, Katsuki made his way down the stage, almost slipping on the first step, and recovering ungraciously that it had you giggling—A warm tune that made his ears twitch in joy, heart palpitating, hands shaking. He didn’t care how clumsy he looked walking down those stairs. He wanted you in his arms already. Katsuki’s strides were wide and covered more ground than you. He ignored the hissed words of his mother telling him to slow down.
And when he met with you at the center of the aisle, he grabbed your arms and saw through the veil covering your face that you were smiling—widely, giggles leaving you like you were mad.
“What are you laughing about?” He growled, a playful smirk on his face. He saw that you were decorated with jewelry similar to his own on your ears, arms and wrists but your neck laid bare for his golden necklace to be put on.
“Hehe… you tripped.”
Katsuki sucked his teeth, pulled you closer, and pressed his forehead against yours. He breathed in your scent deeply and you hummed at the feeling of his warmth.
He grabbed you by your hand and together, the two of you walked back to the stage. He helped you sit on your cushion and as soon as Katsuki sat on his, the drums creased and Mitsuki stood up, turning to face the guests.
“Thank you everyone for being here. Today, we witness another bonding ceremony for a member of the Fenrir family line. I’m sure those of you who were old enough to remember my ceremony could recall the looks on Masaru’s and I’s face when we walked out of here bonded and how much blessings and love we received from everyone. I ask that you show that same love and respect to my son and his beloved on this day. Regardless of how we feel about humans, we will treat her like she’s one of us and after this day, she will be.” Mitsuki spoke loud to where all the wolves in the vicinity heard her, some of them sneered at her words but stayed quiet, others nodded, agreeing with her.
It was a divided crowd, but it was the least of Katsuki’s worries.
“Now we will begin the ceremony, once again, thank you everyone for being here.” Mitsuki sat back down and another person rose up, this time an older wolf wearing long robes and holding a large book in his hands that he flipped open when he kneeled in front of the stage, facing you and Bakugo. Around his wrists and hands were tiny bells that jingled the moment he slapped his hands together and in a loud voice he said, “O’Fenrir! Let us call upon you to bless this joyous day!” And he began to recite what was on the pages. He was the head priest of the pack. First, he would pray to Fenrir to accept and bless the marriage and then he would read from the scriptures in an old language long forgotten in the pack—only those training to be priest learn to read them.
But Katsuki didn’t care about any of that. Since he sat down, he’s been glancing at you—sometimes even staring at you. He was so used to seeing you in your regular clothes, bare faced or sometimes with light make up that you honestly looked like a different person in that dress. It was a different from when he saw you at the party last week. He wanted you in his bed because of how sexy you looked but this time, you looked like a pure beauty, delicate but not fragile. You held your head high and although the veil covered your face, he saw those strong eyes behind them—steady like a leader overseeing her people.
And when you finally caught him staring, the brightest smile he ever saw from you hit him like a branch in the forest. The flutters in his stomach grew at an all-time high, his cheeks turned a red hue, and his tail began to wag furiously. He couldn’t believe it. A single smile had reduced him to a teenage wolf again.
You didn’t expect Katsuki to reach out and hold your hand on your lap. It was strange to see him so happy (by the sight of how fast his tail was moving) but you were enjoying it. Your smile grew larger and with your other hand, you clasped it over his and caressed his fingers. This only made him happier as there were moments when his tail would thump against the stage and the sound echoed throughout the courtyard with the priest’s voice. You glanced at Mitsuki. You could tell she already wanted to tell him to calm down.
“Now I call upon the carriers to bring the necklaces to the descendant of Fenrir.” The priest kept his head low as he called for Minato and Mie who were already walking down the aisle with their short legs and hands heavy with the necklaces on top of cushions. Mina and Eijirou were smiling proudly as they watched them climb the stairs and kneel down on one knee to present them.
“Thanks, brats.” Katsuki ruffled both of their heads before setting down the cushions in front of him.
“With the necklaces arrival, we may begin the bond.”
The moment the loud booms of the drums returned, the faster your heart seemed to beat. Katsuki turned to completely face you and you did the same. He slowly reached for your veil and flipped it over your head like he’s been waiting to do that since he saw you. You heard some wolves gasped when your face was revealed, and you felt your cheeks warmed because you knew it had to do with how beautiful you looked. You even felt the light touch of Katsuki’s knuckles brush against your cheek because he couldn’t help but marvel at how perfect you looked. He needed to touch you to confirm your existence.
“Please repeat after me, Future leader. I, Katsuki of the Bakugo clan, will take this human to be my wife. With Fenrir’s blessing, I will do my duties as a husband, protect my wife and my family from anyone who might threaten them. Honor this bond through sickness and health and care for my bond whenever she may need me.”
Katsuki looked straight into your eyes, grabbed your hands and repeated the vows. You felt tears welling in your eyes as you listened to him.
“Now please repeat after me, ____. I, ____ of the human race, will take this wolf to be my husband. With Fenrir’s blessings, I will do my duties as a wife, protect my husband and my family from anyone who might threaten them. Honor this bond through sickness and health and care for my bond whenever he may need me.”
It was hard to repeat the vows because you were trying to hold back your hiccups. A single tear rolled down your cheeks and was quickly captured by Katsuki’s thumb. He smiled so softly—it was a look you rarely saw; his eyes glossy and he couldn’t hide those flushed cheeks, nor could he blame it on the warm weather.
Katsuki then picked up your golden necklace from the cushion, he felt the weight of his ancestry in his hands as he dressed it around your neck. With a click, he secured it on your neck and looked you over like a completed masterpiece.
Next was your turn as you reached for the other necklace that looked similar to yours but less decorative—still, it held the meaning of someone who was bonded. You hooked it around his neck and it stood out among all the necklaces there. He looked so handsome, like you finally found a piece to complete a puzzle.
The priest had raised both his hands in the air, praising Fenrir once again, before he closed his fists and then the drums creased with a final boom. His body dropped into a prostrate, both his forehead and nose touched the ground as his cloak drape around his body. You thought it was dramatic how he was acting but you knew the priests practically worshipped the Fenrir bloodline. They weren’t upset at Katsuki marrying a human because Fenrir did the same thing and as long as Fenrir did it, it was permissible to them.
“With Fenrir’s blessing and vows exchanged, I announce the ceremonial bond complete.” He spoke into the ground and then the wolves immediately broke into howls, noses high in the air, lips pursed as they celebrated your joining. Even Mie and Minato joined the howling with their tiny voices and jumped in place excitedly. Izuku joined in by applause, clapping awkwardly as he was startled by the sudden howls.
You were grinning at Katsuki, sight blurry with endless tears springing from your eyes. It was happy tears nonetheless, and you gazed upon your now husband that returned your grin with one of his own. You could tell he wanted to kiss you, but it was tradition that the bride and groom must not engage in anything intimate until the wedding night. You and Katsuki let go of each other and turned to face the crowd, smiling brightly as the wolves howled and cheered for your bond.
If you had told yourself months ago that you would meet a wolf, fall in love with him, and marry him, you wouldn’t have believed it. Becoming a wife and the second leader of a wolf pack, abandoning your own people to live with the wolf you love. You wondered if you made your parents roll in their graves with the decisions you’ve made. But at this point, you didn’t care. You were living life the way you wanted.
Katsuki’s such a brash, arrogant, and cocky wolf, all qualities that’s unlikable at first but after getting to know him—all that hardness, that coldness, was his exterior. Inside, he cared, loved, and helped in his own way, a Katsuki’s way, that you wouldn’t truly understand if you didn’t bother getting to know his true self. Yes, he wasn’t perfect. And yes, there were times when he was unbearable, and he would get on your nerves with his snide comments, but you learned that your love for him had overwhelmed the negatives. You gave up your life for him just as he risked his life for yours. You wanted to be with him, start a family with him, and live out your days with him. Today was only just the beginning.
With sacrifices and all, finally, you and Katsuki were bonded forever.
The ceremony after was one you would never forget. The wolves partied for hours. When evening reached, lanterns around the courtyard lit up around you as well as the ones behind you on stage. The wolves were continuously handing you and Katsuki wedding gifts on the stage that you accepted with a smile. Most of it was meat and handmade trinkets or jewelry. Mina gave you these beautiful beads that you thought was supposed to go around your neck, but she told you with a laugh that it was for your waist. And with a whisper in your ear, she told you to wear it for tonight. The heat rose to your cheeks and you gave a glance at Katsuki who was distracted by what Eijirou was telling him. Mina left you a wink before dragging Eijirou away. Next came Ochako and Izuku who earned a snarl from Katsuki.
“Ignore him,” you simply said but Izuku couldn’t help but cower under his glare. Ochako smiled uneasily probably because she was still thinking about what happened at the hot springs yesterday. But you moved to hold her hand and that gentle smile on your face had relieved her. It was too joyous of a day to keep the awkwardness between you and her.
Ochako then gave you a bottle of perfume made from flowers while Izuku pulled out a bouquet with a letter attached to it. He told you the letter was from Inko who he informed about your situation. You were grateful he did because out of everyone, you at least wanted Inko to know that you were alive and happy.
Many other wolves came to give you gifts as well, many that you didn’t know yet. Some of them were important clan leaders that congratulated you and Katsuki, neither friendly or rude, just acted in curtesy. Denki and Kyoka gave their gifts with Denki mentioning he couldn’t believe Katsuki found someone willing to be around him. Katsuki, of course, didn’t take that lightly. He banged his fist on the stage and told him to stop talking, growling through gritted teeth.
In between everyone visiting the stage, you and Katsuki took the time to look at each other. Unfortunately, you couldn’t show any intimacy yet, but you can tell from the look in Katsuki’s eyes that he couldn’t wait to have you all to himself. You could even hear his low growls from his chest the longer he stared at you. Love embedded in those red eyes, and of course, you didn’t miss the lust in them—a look you recognized since he kissed you on that tree many months ago.
Soon, Mitsuki came after Denki and Kyoka, interrupting the silent moment between you. She gave you a hug and expressed how happy she was for you. She then gave Katsuki one and as reluctant as he was to wrap his arms around her, he still awkwardly held her with his frown deepening. Their relationship was still sour, but you knew Mitsuki was proud of her son and supported him in everything he wanted to do. She was the first one to trust you because she trusted her son. In her eyes, he was still the young wolf that she raised to be the man he is now—stronger than all in the pack. She only wished Masaru lived long enough to see it.
“Your father would’ve been proud…” She whispered when she released him, her shaky hands still on his shoulders. Katsuki didn’t expect to see Mitsuki’s glossy eyes, but not a single tear fell because he knew she was holding it in. He couldn’t deny that his mother was strong. It was where he got his strength from.
The gifting went on, even after food was brought to you and Katsuki. Honestly, it was a little annoying because you wanted some alone time with Katsuki already. You couldn’t get a word in without someone coming to interrupt you. Weddings in the wolves’ culture was definitely different than human weddings. Majority of the time, you and Katsuki were sitting on the stage overlooking everyone while they converse and ate with each other. There was no dance between the wedded couple nor a cake to cut and smash the piece in Katsuki’s face. No father and daughter dance nor a mother and son one. Although, there was a dance performance that impressed you with their rhythm and ended with fire being blown from their lips. You gasped and grabbed Katsuki’s arm when the flames blew into the air. All Katsuki did was laugh at you and watched on.
Next, Kyoka sang a song for you two. You never knew she had such a beautiful voice. Even Denki looked mesmerized by his wife. Katsuki told you that Kyoka often sings to Denki before bed (Denki loves to brag about it which is why Katsuki knew).
After Kyoka was the belly dancers which was something you weren’t fond of. The men started howling and licking their lips as soon as the dancers rock their hips to front of the stage in revealing, flashy clothes. Their eyes on no one else but Katsuki. Of course. You huffed and crossed your arms. You really wanted to tell them off and show them Katsuki was your man. The dancers shook their hips side to side, creating a perfect arch that had most men wagging their tails. Honestly, you couldn’t move that way even if you tried and it was quite obvious that these women were trying to make you jealous on your wedding day.
You were taken by surprise when Katsuki’s hand moved over yours. Your angry eyes broke away from the dancing women and softened once they met with Katsuki’s. He leaned towards your ear and whispered something about one of the girls on the left being off sync and laughing about it. He wasn’t enticed by the women at all. His eyes only saw you.
The celebration stretched through the evening and the party would continue on without the newlyweds.
As you and Katsuki get ready to end the night, you’ll have a party of your own—privately, away from everyone, whisked away by pleasure. At least you hoped. You didn’t exactly know what to expect. You knew what went on between humans but how exactly did wolves have sex? You had to admit you were a little startled when Mitsuki and Momo told you about biting and scratching being an important part when you’re feeling good. Surprisingly, you weren’t afraid at all—definitely nervous, but not afraid. You knew Katsuki would treat you well and would go at your pace. You looked forward to spending some time alone with him, talking and cuddling by the fire in bed. Maybe sharing a kiss or two and feeling his palms massage your thigh and other places.
You held your hot cheeks, wanting to slap them to calm yourself down from your heated imagination. Gosh, it was really going to happen.
As Katsuki helped you down the stage, most wolves gathered near you two to say farewell and to wish you luck on your night. Katsuki ended up telling you that the women who helped dressed you for the wedding would help you get ready for the night and as if they were summoned, they surrounded the two of you, bowing before their bright smiles shone on their faces.
“I’ll see you soon,” Katsuki gave your hand a squeeze before you were dragged off.
The women acted fast in preparing you. They dressed you in a bra and underwear and a sheer garment-like dress draped around your figure in layers. Through the sheer, Mina’s beads were loosely hugging your hips and bangles dangling on your wrists matched the golden necklace on your neck. Natural perfume was sprayed on your inner thighs again just in case the smell worn off and soon they started giving you some tips and advice. Not that you asked but they taught you things about what wolf men normally did and liked done to them. You didn’t think scratching and biting would be such a big deal to them, but the women advocated that it was the best thing to do.
Once they were finished, they threw a heavy fur cloak over your body. They helped you travel off the mountain and into the forest. They led you another way that made you reach another part of the mountain you haven’t been to. At the base, there was a fairly large cave cavity with a heavy cloth hanging over the opening. You could tell the cave was already brightly lit by the glow that emulated through the fabric. This was probably the cave that you and Katsuki would stay in for the next couple of weeks.
The women bid you farewell far from the entrance. They said it was to not have their scent linger in the area any longer. You didn’t have the chance to ask them why it was a problem before they scattered away and left you alone.
You eyed the cave before you approached it, light on your feet and cautious. Although you didn’t know why, but you felt your anxiety rising. It was possible that Katsuki already arrived and was waiting for you inside. You shifted your cloak by the lapels nervously, feeling the night chill run through your spine. You were basically in your underwear under there and that urged you even more to go inside, especially as you felt the heat sneaking through the small cracks of the cloth, beckoning you to slip inside.
And so, with a deep breath, you listened.
The cloth fell behind you gently, and immediately you were drawn to glowing crimsons across the room. The hue so prominent behind the orange flames of the candles that your heart rattled as it so often did when in front of them. The heat from the makeshift fireplace was not the only thing making you warm, but the presence of your now husband, standing by it topless. Without a doubt, the shadows had contoured his muscles making them seem more profound and elevated that you wanted to feel them under your fingertips. There it was—that curiosity that sprang from you the moment his tongue had touch your leg many months ago. Finally, you will be able to indulge it.

question should i have a brainwashing subplot featuring the brother of the main character who doesn't really matter that much bc the point of this story is the romantic plot?
#im thinking abt different waus it can work wirhout being too spinoffy#but also. i could very easily make it the main conflict plot so there is one#cause this story is so far away from being just romance centered already#i think imma do iy i think imma do it#but still opinions??#bnha#fic#tokoyami

Sometimes you just gotta ramble about your favorite anime.....BNHA EP 16!!!!!!!!
Why are there always recaps at the beginning of the episode???! Unnecessary!
Present mic is the best XD
I am waiting for someone to make a gif of the scene where Present mic almost knocks Aizawa’s head
“You don’t need me do you?” Aizawa and mic are the best, they’re just the best.
Izuku looks extra cute in this episode
Shiozaki is really oretty
OHHHH HELL YEAH!!!! They’re playing my fave ost!!!
Jeez... Shouto if it wasn’t Kirishima or Tetsutetsu someone could’ve actually died or got injured for real, and the they would probably have to stop the sports festival which could give U.A a bad name even though they’re just recovering from a villain attack.... DOES SHOUTO NOT REALIZE THE IMPLICATIONS HIS ACTIONS COULD HAVE CAUSED?!!!
Kirishima crying after seeing Tetsutestu XD He literally said the same thing as Kiri
I really love Tetsu’s voice
I also really love the quirk training OST their playing in the background
Bakugou just avoided everything and flew up
I FREAKING LOVE SERO’S TEETH! I love his smile in general
Ummmmm... Could Bakugou always jump down from such a high distance?
Bakugou literally flew through half of the race.
I like how All Might defends the other classes when Snipe was praising class 1-A... All Might is truly the best.
I really feel like Aizawa was based off of Kakashi....not saying Horikoshi copied or anything.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY KEPT IT!!! THEY KEPT THE ORIGINAL!!!!!! THEY KEPT THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF YOU SAY RUN!!!!!!!!!
They really made class 1-A look super cool in the anime
Aizawa praising his kids by talking about their experience in USJ gives me life....
All Might was rooting for Izuku the whole time, Izuku was the only person he was focusing on, the only person on his mind, he was so anxious for Izuku to make it to the next round that he didn’t even care if he would be first or last. Just watching this dadmight fluff in the anime is too much for me!!!!!!!!
I love Present Mic’s voice!!!!!
THE FALL XD!!!!!!! Oh man I love Mic
HATSUME!!!!!!!!!! SHE’S HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love her voice and the wau she speaks Engrish omg!!!
She said babies!!!! That’s what I was waiting for
Uraraka’s saltiness for Hatsume started pretty early
Oh Shinsou... you’re evil smile brings mew joy!!! He constantly had thos sinister smile throughout the whole race. I just love this boy.
Bakugou is just flying XD
Iida you’re so lame lol
I’m going to apreciate the fact that Shouji was flying like a dragon. Awesome.
Why is Mic’s voice so funny?!
The way people were flipping in the air after getting hit by the bombs was pure gold.
Bakugou is flying
Bakugou really should’ve left Shouto alone... if he didn’t start theor mini catfight then he could’ve probably won the race or ended up in a tie, andi if he won then there would be no way he’d let anyone take his points.
OMFG IIDA!!!!! XDDD The way he’s running and getting hit by explosions!
I AM GOING TO APPRECIATE HOE ROUND IZUKU’S CHEEKS LOOKED IN 12:14-15 IN THE EPISODE... that was a special moment for me.
That guy with the speech bubblehead??!!! Why’s he so funny??!!!
All Might’s expression after seeing Izuku fly in the air XD
Izuku being a badass in general XDDDDD!!!!
BONES did such an amazing job on this anime honestly, I finf myself saying Bravo! and clapping almost every 30 secs.
IZUKU’S FACE AFTER THE EXPLOSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I knew they’d play the ost “HERO A” in the race, I just knew it!!!! I called it since...last summer I think?
I will forever love the way Izuku went ahead of Shouto and Bakugou in the race.
Aaaaannnnnd the sweet dadmight scene I was waiting for has finally arrived.
Oh jeez, I can’t get over this scene! He was just looking for All Might to reassure him that he would make it, that he would show the world that he has arrived! and stuff like that! And All Might is just so proud of his child!!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!! Dadmight fluff is too much for me XD
Plus I love the additional scene with Izuku crying
All Might is proud of his son but he wants him to get rid of the water works as soon as he can
i like how they made thew management department seem all serious like villains before they showed their faces XD
Bakugou.... please calm down your arms are throbbing! that is not the time to be worrying about losing
IIda’s all gloomy in the background because his quirk is literally suited for this kinda stuff but he lost
AHHHHH!!! izuku looked so cute when he was blushing for ochako, although I like that scene better in the manga
“you’re the worst!” XD
I love Midnight way too much
I love how they were able to figure out the cavalry battle by themselves without having to hear Midnight explain.
Midnight was not amused of course
Ten million points! Izuku’s so screwed!! But hid facial expression was ay funnier than I expected it to be XD!!!!
I love how evil Shinsou is
Izuku’s face when everyone as staring at him with red eyes XDDDDDD!!!
Oh shoot!!! that’s how it ends?!!!!

Wolves Among Us (Season I) Masterlist
Summary:
Something about watching him lick your chilled skin was stirring something within you. Your legs started to shiver, but not of the cold that surrounded your slightly exposed body but of a feeling blossoming in the inner regions of your lower stomach. You were getting lost in the rhythm of his pants, wandering in the hazy want of his intense eyes. Your breath began to tremble, and you tried to squeeze your legs together to withstand the odd sensation growing, but he held your leg still and showed no signs of letting go. You were suddenly aware of his hand on your lower thigh, and you noticed that it was the first time a man’s hand had touched there. You were a flower that had yet to bloom in the late of spring. Pure, untouched and suddenly, bombarded with desires. You never shivered in the way a man could make you, and curiosity—maybe naivety, was keeping you from your fear of the beast.

XV: Deep in Heat
There was only one week left until the wedding and like all brides, you were growing anxious each day. The pack was bustling with energy despite them not liking who their future leader was marrying. The wedding ceremony was something they were all looking forward to because you have learned from Mina that the wolves loved to party regardless of the circumstances. Mina had been the one to tell you about the pack, allowing you to break out of your shell around them. She would always bring you along whenever she went to talk with some of her friends. They weren’t fond of you at first but with Mina’s encouragement, they began asking you random questions, mostly about human lifestyles. And of course, you were delighted to answer.
That night you had dinner with her family was a lovely one. It felt as if you two had been friends for a long time and had been reunited. She joked and laughed about silly things, was affectionate not only in words but physically as well. She was a wonderful mother and wife who cared deeply about her family and those around her, if just one person was feeling down, she would do everything in her power for that person to be right again. If that wasn’t an amazing person, you didn’t know what else would fit that description.
Katsuki had hung out with Eijirou and someone else named Hanta that night. He had black hair that stopped at his chin. He was tall, lanky and whenever he smiled, his teeth looked incredibly straight without any flaws. He seemed like a nice man. He treated you kindly and expressed his happiness for Katsuki for finding a woman like you to marry. Katsuki went back to normal after the moment you shared by the river. It was like he never had that moment of weakness and he also never brought it up again. You assumed it was still difficult for him to talk about it, so you left the topic alone for another day.
You looked in the tiny mirror that was attached to the cave wall and you dipped your finger in a jar before bringing it to your lips to paint them red. It completed your look from the blush on your cheeks to the kohl liner around your eyes.
“Oooo~ you’re looking sooooo beautiful,” Mina gushed, tail swaying as she suddenly appeared on your right. She was hunched over your shoulder peering into the mirror to gaze at your reflection. “Katsuki isn’t gonna let you walk in the morning!”
You flushed at her words and she laughed. You began to take her in, eyes roaming her figure. She was wearing the shortest skirt you’ve ever seen with a fitted cropped shirt that exposed her muscled stomach. The skirt at least flowed with her movement and wasn’t skin tight, but it accentuated her figure, giving her the illusion that she had larger hips. The color of it had clashed with her skin tone but in a good way, purple and turquoise in a camouflage like pattern drew the attention of her flushed skin. Large beads hung around her neck and jingled when she moved. She even has some around her hips and wrist.
Your clothes weren’t as revealing hers, but it was a burgundy dress that stopped slightly above your mid-thigh and hugged at your form. Your legs that were usually covered by your long skirt was now exposed. Your neck and collarbones were shown as the collar of your dress shaped around your breasts and plunged into a heart shape. Your neck was also decorated with the golden necklace Katsuki gave you and golden bangles jingled on your wrists to match it. You borrowed it all from Mina for tonight’s celebration and you couldn’t be more grateful to her.
The wolves always held a celebration the week before a wedding. It was a tradition but, honestly, you just thought it was an excuse for them to have more parties. So, you were getting ready at Mina and Eijirou’s cave. You could already hear the music blasting, drums being beaten, tambourines jingling, flutes sounding and other instruments you couldn’t quite name. It sounded like it was right outside their cave, but it was really in the courtyard where the wolves had already gathered in the late evening.
“You guys are going to kill all the men who look at you,” Ochako said, grinning from the corner of the room. She was already done, wearing a pink dress that was fitted to her form at the top but blew out at the bottom. Lately, you haven’t been seeing Ochako around. She’s been sneaking out these past last couple of weeks, not telling anyone where she’s been going so you were happy to hang out with her tonight. You wanted to catch up.
“All of us! We’re gonna make them faint!” Mina started checking herself out in the mirror, twisting and twirling around as she posed. Her reflection was being blocked by your body, yet she still pretended she could see her entire body.
“Careful, Mina, wouldn’t want baby number four to happen,” Ochako laughed and Mina shrugged.
“Wouldn’t mind it!”
“So how long is the party going to last?” You began fixing your hair, trying to decide whether to leave it down or put it up.
“How long? Pfft! We’re partying until dawn, ____!” Mina shot a finger in the air. She was a little too excited for this.
“You sure you aren’t drunk already?” Ochako placed her hands on her hips.
“No! But I seriously need a drink. I’m ready to party! Eiji’s gonna take care of the kids tonight so Kiri and I are basically free! Do you know how much free time you get when you have kids? None! Zero!”
You decided to leave it down, brushing your hair for a bit before you fluffed it to add volume.
“And yet you want to have a fourth one?”
“I said I wouldn’t mind, wouldn’t mind!”
“Okay guys, I’m ready,” you stood up and Mina whistled when she looked you over, ogling you in a way that would’ve made you uncomfortable if she was an older man.
“You sure you wanna wait till the wedding night? Cause Katsuki gonna pounce on you when he sees you.”
You laughed, “It’s not up for discussion. We already decided to wait and we’re both okay with that.”
“Gooosh, I couldn’t wait. You’re strong, ____,” you didn’t know if that considered you were strong on the account of you never experienced the feeling of sex. Maybe it was easier for you because you were in the unknown about it. Mina went on with expressing how excited she was about this party. You were just as excited as the last time you’ve been at a party. It was in your village during a festival. You remember the smells of food and the sounds of music, people dancing and having fun. You went with Izuku and his mother and it was the most fun you ever had. You were hoping it would be the same this time. Yes, the pack was still against the marriage but because of Mina, you had some women who tolerated you and actually spoke with you. This party was an opportunity to get to know them even more.
You followed Mina and Ochako out of the cave, saying your goodbyes to Eiji, Minato, and Mie as you passed by them. The sound of beating drums grew extremely loud the closer you came to the courtyard. The sun had completely set and the deep blue carpet with twinkling lights unraveled above you. The moon hung off the middle with half of it shrouded in dark. It was a mild night, not too cold and not too warm, which could only mean that winter was nearing its end. The snow had nearly melted from the surface, revealing the mountain’s stone flooring that clacked whenever your heel met with it. There was a path being lit up by totems on each side that led into the courtyard and the closer you got, the more excited Mina became while Ochako seemed to be looking around for something.
And when you reached the courtyard, your eyes widened in awe. There were so many wolves around, chatting, dancing, eating. There were tables set up that were occupied by some of them. Men were the ones at the drums, taiko drums, to be specific, and they pounded at them with bachi sticks, releasing a powerful sound that echoed into the air. Flutes were also being played flamboyantly, the players dancing to their own beat as they entertained the crowd dancing along with them. You assumed in the middle in front of the instrument players was the dancing area because wolves of all ages and genders were jumping, stomping, some clapping their hands, shaking their hips, hands in the air like they just didn’t care. These wolves know how to have fun!
“Oh! The bride is here!” You heard a booming voice. The music had stopped at once and soon all eyes were on you.
You gulped, not liking the attention.
But in place of drums were the wolves clapping, some howling at your presence. Mina and Ochako also began to howl as a signal of your arrival. You felt… touched. Even if some wolves did ignore you and continued what they were doing, most had greeted you with either an applause or a howl. And then the music returned, and the wolves resumed with their partying. It wasn’t long until you spotted Katsuki. He was sitting at the table in the center of all the tables, just staring at you. Eijirou was the one waving towards you which had Mina bolting over. Hanta was also there and a few other faces you haven’t seen before. But Katsuki stayed staring like he was a statue. You frowned. Was he… not impressed?
Katsuki’s brain stopped working the moment he saw you. Fuck! Damn! Shit! And all the curse words he could thought of was the only thing his brain managed do. Was he not impressed? Oh, he most definitely was impressed. He knew you were a beautiful woman but seeing you in these clothes? Hot damn. It was making him sweat. He downed the drink in his hands, giving his head a quick shake to spell the burning feel away. He watched as you made your way to him and watched how your hips swayed. Fuck! You were a Goddess. He was already praying for Fenrir to calm his heart… and his loins.
“Hey Katsuki…” you looked shy, shoulders erect, when you greeted him. A whistle sounded from one of the men at the table.
“And this is the bride I’m hearing so much about! Now I know why Katsuki’s marrying you!” He stood up, reaching over the table to hold out his hand towards you, nearly knocking over some drinks but Hanta was quick to move them. “Denki! Pack leader of the Kaminari clan. We’re allies with your pack!”
Katsuki rolled his eyes, slapping his hand away before you could take ahold of it. Denki yelped, rubbing his hand as it grew red from the abuse.
“What the hell, man, can’t greet your wife?”
“Just sit the fuck down,” Katsuki growled. Eijirou and Hanta snickered. Mina then plopped herself on Eijirou’s lap and kissed him deeply to greet him. Katsuki wondered if you would do the same but you stood there, awkwardly like you weren’t comfortable in your own skin. He wasn’t expecting anything of the sorts, he knew you weren’t comfortable doing such things in front of people. Ochako just looked like she was looking for someone, but she was the least of his worries.
“Come sit,” he pulled you by the arm and into the space next to him. He was still holding onto your arm, looking you over faster than you could notice. Goddamn. Those thighs. “Dress suits you,” he really wanted to say you were fucking hot, but he’ll save it for later.
He watched you flush, relaxing slightly, eyes fluttering around to make sure no one was watching. “Thanks. You look good too.” Katsuki took pride in how you took him in, eyes lingering longer on his exposed chest. Since it was milder tonight, he decided to go without a shirt and wore his black cargo pants and white boots. He still wore fur but only around his shoulders as the rest of his cape was a red battered cloth. Several necklaces hung at his neck, like painted fangs of predators he had hunted turned into decorations for his neck. And part of his arms was covered by orange and black arm warmers, leaving his upper arm and hands exposed.
“Heh, thanks.” Katsuki smirked, wolf ears flickering, then he poured himself a drink. “Ever drank before?”
You shook your head. “First time.”
“I’m taking a lot of your firsts, huh?” Your blush spread as your eyes widened at his daring words. Thankfully he said it under his breath for only you to hear. He passed you a cup before you could say anything more. “Drink it fast.”
He watched you with his head against his knuckles. You stared down at the cup. There was only a small amount of alcohol in there compared to the size of the cup and you had glanced at Mina, watching her knock her head back to down the alcohol, shivering slightly before she laughed at something Hanta and Denki said. Ochako had already disappeared so she wasn’t present to watch you drink. You then watched Katsuki and he did the same thing this time without wincing after and after staring at the cup for god knows how long you drank it, attempting to knock your head back. But the alcohol still didn’t fall as fast and you tasted the bitter flavor on your tongue before it burned and went down your throat. You started coughing, spitting up some as your eyes began to water. Katsuki was quick. He already gave you a tissue and rubbed his hand on your back.
“That was… disgusting. How do you drink this stuff?” You spoke through your coughs and wiped your mouth clean of saliva. The bitter flavor still lingered on your tongue and you grabbed a piece of bread off the table and shoved it in your mouth to rid of the taste.
“You get used to it.” Katsuki was already on his third drink and he didn’t seem like he would be getting drunk any time soon.
Mina drank another shot before she asked you to dance.
“We’ll be here. Go have your fun!” Eijirou said before he gave Mina another sloppy kiss. You told Katsuki you would be back and gave his arm a squeeze. He waved at you, wishing he had kissed you instead.
Mina pulled you into the dance area. Just before she started dancing she asked you where Ochako went but you had no clue, so she shrugged and began to move her hips rhythm of the drums. She grabbed your hands, wanting you to join her in her dance. You weren’t much of a dancer, but the beat of the drums and the sound of the flute was doing something to you internally that you were already tapping your feet as soon as you had touched the dance floor. You decided to let go, moving your arms, feet, and hips to the beat.
“Yeah, ____! Shake that ass!” You could barely hear Mina over the drums but her large smile told you she was enjoying this. The wolves were dancing so close together that you were getting touched all around, but you didn’t seem bothered by it and neither did the wolves. They were too concerned with getting lost in the music, some of them too drunk to where all they could do was dance and not be bothered that you were next to them. They pushed against you, rubbed against you, as well as Mina’s body. You didn’t want to admit it but maybe that one drink loosened you up. You weren’t exactly drunk, but you were definitely feeling a little buzz within you and it was enough to make you forget your worries.
Katsuki watched you in the middle of the courtyard. Sometimes he would lose sight of you because the crowd was overwhelming at times but when you would appear again, he would watch you shake your body. Your hips, your waist, your everything. You moved like it was your last night alive, like Fenrir’s spirit had took ahold of you and made you wild. He liked this side of you. It was different from the tamed girl he came to know you as. He was happy to know that even humans had a wild side.
“Your wife, Kacchan, damn.”
A vein popped across his forehead when he heard Denki and he growled lowly. “If you don’t stop looking at my woman… and don’t fucking call me ‘Kacchan’”
“I know, I know, gosh, you’re forgetting I’m happily married,” Denki had a cocky grin on his face while he flashed his necklace. Katsuki didn’t know why. There was nothing to be cocky about. He was getting married next week.
“That don’t mean shit.”
“Yes, it does… besides…” he drank from his cup, gold eyes up and still well on your body. “Nothing wrong with lookin’”
Katsuki slammed his fist down on the table and it caused all the cups and plates to jump on impact. His snarl was nasty, lingering until he couldn’t hold his breath any longer. His crimson eyes as sharp as his baring fangs. “Unless you wanna fucking go home blind, then I suggest you get your eyes off of my woman!”
“Relax, child!” He slammed a second fist down when a hand slapped the side of his head. He turned to look behind him already prepared to claw up whoever dared to attack him. He wasn’t surprised to see his mother and it didn’t lessen the anger he was feeling. “Don’t go threatening our allies, especially for something so minuscule as looking at your woman.”
“Don’t fucking touch me! Shit! Why are you even here?!”
“Someone has to stay sober and watch over the celebration. You can never be too careful. As future leader, you should know these things but instead you’re sitting here yelling at our allies.”
“Then go watch over the celebration somewhere else! I’m trying to enjoy my night!”
Mitsuki’s face crinkled up. “You ungrateful child! You dare speak to your mother that way!?”
“Shit, if you don’t like it then go somewhere!” Katsuki downed another cup. “Fuck, I gotta go use the bathroom.” He then got up and brushed past his growling mother, heading straight for the bathrooms. There was a cave designated for it somewhere around the courtyard. He relieved himself and as he was making his way back, he stumbled upon something that made him confused as hell.
You and Mina danced until you couldn’t dance no more. You needed a break and something to eat. So, Mina suggested to hang out with her friends. You’ve met them before. Momo and Tsuyu, but a new woman that you’ve never seen before was sitting with them at a table not too far from Katsuki’s. You couldn’t help but glance at his table while you passed by but saw that he wasn’t there. You were soon distracted by the warm faces of Mina’s friends to wonder why Katsuki wasn’t at his table. They were weary of you when you first met them but within time, they warmed up to you with Mina’s help.
“Momo! Tsu! Kyoka!” Mina gave all of them hugs and you greeted them with a wave. Kyoka looked scary from afar. She wore all black, had dark purple hair and gave off this don’t-talk-to-me vibe but the moment you greeted, she looked warm, smiling softly along with Momo and Tsuyu. It wasn’t long until you found out she was the wife of Denki, second leader of the Kaminari pack. Which surprised you at first because of how energetic he was but as you got to know Kyoka, you realized out how great they matched each other.
Together as a group, you moved to the food table, grabbing a plate and looking to see what to take. Your mouth was already salivating from the aroma and you began filling your plate with different proteins like chicken, rabbit, deer, and a bowl of rice. Lastly, you grabbed utensils which had a large pile of them left. Most wolves do without them and eat with their hands.
Mina already had her plate full of food in one hand and a large bottle of alcohol in the other. She was really trying to get drunk tonight.
Back at the table, you ate together, and they talked about random things that had happened to them in their daily lives. Mina talked about her children and how fast they were growing each day. Tsuyu talked about her interest in frogs. Apparently, she had a slight obsession with them, love to go out and study them. Momo was discussing about her recent find in tea leaves during her walks in the forest and Kyoka talked about a new song she was writing and couldn’t wait to sing. And you talked about your interest in pack which led to the girls asking about your first meeting with Katsuki.
You explained, feeling a little giddy. You haven’t told anyone about how you two met and just talking about it was making you relive some memories. You explained everything from when Katsuki chased you and then spared you and healed your wounds to you bringing him some food to help him to when you two got attacked by the hunters and chose to protect Katsuki ultimately getting you exiled from your village.
“That’s so romantic…! You guys belong together!” Mina started to slur, and her cheeks were pinker than normal. She might be already drunk.
“It’s truly a wonderful story, though I can’t help but wonder why Katsuki decided to heal you instead of… well, he was hunting you, yes?” Momo held her chin in thought.
“It does seem odd,” Tsuyu looked up with a finger to her chin, probably thinking the same thing.
“It’s love at first sight, I tell ya!! Love at first sight!!” Mina yowled, making a heart shape with her hands.
“I asked him why he did when we met the second time, but he never gave a straight answer,” Mina passed you a cup and you stared at it, contemplating if you should drink it.
“Yeah, typical Katsuki, never giving straight answers, just yelling,” Kyoka downed her drink. She looked a bit flushed as well. You assumed she was drunk, thankfully not the rowdy type like Mina.
“____! Drink! Drink!” Mina urged you when she noticed that you were taking too long to drink from your cup. You glanced down at it. Should you try it again, or should you ban yourself from tasting something so disgusting ever again? You looked back at Mina and she was making an upward motion with her hand before she began to pout, wolf ears falling down and tail drooping. She was so dramatic even when she was drunk. You downed your drink as fast as you could, shivering after at the taste and burn. It wasn’t as bad as the first time, that’s for sure.
Mina instantly refilled your cup and you waited for the burn to settle before downing that one.
Katsuki kind of didn’t know what he saw as he just saw a glimpse of it, but it looked like Ochako was hooking up with some guy in a shadowy corner of the courtyard, away from the party. He didn’t take her to be the type and he doesn’t remember whether she drank or not. Well, he didn’t care for long. He stumbled out of nowhere, there was nothing around him to make him to do so except for his past actions. Was he already drunk? Fuck, maybe he had one too many drinks. He wasn’t planning on being totally wasted tonight because he didn’t want to wake up feeling sluggish.
By the time Katsuki came back, his mother had already vanished, and he felt relieved.
“Katsukiiiii, welcome back…!” Hanta was already drunk and he was still drinking. He had an arm around Denki’s shoulders who also was bright red in the face. They were swaying together, big idiot smiles on their faces and hands full of their cups. They started singing and Katsuki could’ve sworn his hangover came early.
“Dude, they’re gone,” Eijirou laughed, no doubt feeling the buzz from his drinks because he began bobbing his head to their voices like it was actual good music coming from them. Katsuki sighed heavily at them and emptied his cup, cheeks hot from the alcohol rushing in his veins. The world began to spin in front of him and he closed his eyes to stop it. His eyebrows furrowed as if he were in pain, but it was because there were too many sounds happening at once. He didn’t know what to focus on. The voices all around him? The drums? Or the flutes? Or the pathetic singing of Hanta and Denki?
He opened his eyes. Everything looked fuzzy. He saw double of everything including the cup in his hands that Denki just refilled. He didn’t hesitate to drink it, humming at the warmness and mistaking it for the burn that simmered down his throat and chest. He felt something heavy fall on his lap and its weight pressed against his chest as something touched his shoulders. Denki, Hanta, and Eijirou all looked at him like he had two heads.
It took Katsuki a moment to realized that ‘something’ was you. You had plopped on his lap the same way Mina did to Eijirou and your arms were resting on his shoulders while your fingers lightly twirled in his hair. You were staring at him dead in his face with a distinct flush blossomed on your cheeks. Damn, were you drunk?
“Hey Katsuki…” you purred, pressing a wet kiss that had too much tongue on the corner of his mouth. Yup, you were drunk. Otherwise you wouldn’t be doing this in front of his friends, you probably wouldn’t even being doing this if you two were alone.
“Hey baby, what’sh… going on with you…?” Katsuki’s words were slurred and you cut him off with a heavy kiss to his lips, smacking your smiling lips against his. It was sloppy, loud, and tasted of bitter alcohol.
“Nothin’… I just missed you…” You breathed, and his hand moved to stroke your exposed thigh. Your dress has been riding up since you sat in his lap.
“Ya… same,” a sharp inhale of breath sounded from the both of you before your lips collided, tongues already in each other’s mouth, swallowing each other’s breath and saliva. A heavy moan left him, finally achieving what he wanted to do the moment he saw you. Katsuki squeezed a part of your thigh before he had his hand slip up your dress, daring to tread on areas he hadn’t felt before. And all in front of his friends.
“Hey, get a room!” Eijirou frowned, not wanting to see his best friend doing things that should be in the privacy of his cave.
“Nah, lemme enjoy the show…!” Denki waved him off, pushing him even. His grin grew wider and wider the longer his eyes roamed. Katsuki noticed and he immediately grew frustrated, breaking the kiss with a loud wet smack and growling in Denki’s direction.
“What the fuck did I say?!” You nearly fell off his lap when he suddenly sat forward but he wrapped an arm around your waist in both to save you and to flaunt his possession.
But all Denki did was laugh, not a hint of fear in his eyes when Katsuki bared his fangs.
You suddenly got off of him, pulling your dress down before you grabbed his hand and tugged his arm. “Come on...” you stared down at him, blush deepening to the point where it couldn’t just be the alcohol. Katsuki stared, almost dumbfoundedly. He then stood up immediately, the fight with Denki forgotten as he followed you away from the party. The tail behind him shaking excitedly.
Katsuki growled playfully when he thrown you against the wall, arms pinned to it as his lips instantly slobbered around your neck, alternating to your right side then left side with such haste you shivered and quaked under his hold. You gasped and felt the weakness in your knees, melting against the wall and his body as his arm around your waist held you up. One of your hands were dug into his side, desperately clinging on to anything you could feel. Katsuki kissed you to quench his hunger but it never was fulfilled. The more he felt your lips, the more he wanted it, drinking your moans, groaning and growling, grinding against your body as if to fuse with it.
His hands circled your hips, loving the feel of your smooth skin under his fingertips. He slid his right hand around your hip to your thigh, eventually placed it under your knee and lifted your leg to hold it around his hip. You continued kissing him regardless of his bold act, a hand buried in his hair while the other moved from his side to caress his muscled stomach, each individual ab a rocky hill to his clenched terrain. You continued moving north and palmed his pecs, his nipple rubbing against your hand no doubt erect cause of the pleasure brewing in him. He responded with his own knead of your breasts, engulfing one of them in his hands and giving it a firm squeeze.
He grunted softly and pulled away from your lips with a wet suck. His crimson gaze as fiery as the sun, beaming heavy with lust as they scanned your face. He loved all of your expressions, but this had got to be his all-time favorite one. You looked absolutely needy. Your skin was heavily flushed from the alcohol and the relentless assault he had on your lips. Your lips were apart, and your eyes looked hazy with the certainty that you were undeniably, incontestably, indisputably horny.
And if you would let him, he would be more than willing to help you to quell the ache between your legs.
You were convinced. Alcohol was the devil. It talked for you, thought for you, moved for you without making you realize any repercussions of your actions. It eliminated all amounts of your super ego and purely motivated your id. So of course, when Katsuki lifted your dress and pulled your underwear to the side, you pulled him closer, looking down when his fingers tread lightly on the lips of your vagina, and although you couldn’t see well because you were in a dark corner, somewhere against the mountainside near the caves, you surely felt it. You also felt that this was something you shouldn’t be doing. It went against all of your morals, having a man touch you before he even claims you, but you were too intoxicated to care, too obsessed with exploring this desire. You revisited that moment of when Katsuki first touched you when he licked your wound. That shiver you felt. The very thing that made you all too curious.
“Nn…” you bit your lip, feeling his fingers go between your folds and soon becoming slick with secretion when he neared your entrance.
“Already this fucking wet for me…” he said huskily, a smirk on his own face with reddened cheeks. But he did nothing except tease you with his words, mumbling about what he was going to do to you and how you were going to take it. It felt like he was rambling to himself, sounding nonsensical as his fingers moved slightly north in search for something. And when he found it, it had your legs trembling, the one being held up by his hand squeezed against him like you wanted to close them, toes curling in your shoes. You gritted your teeth and watched as Katsuki rubbed his fingers on your clit in a motion that was not too gentle.
He saw you watching, and he uttered out, “see this?” You looked up into his eyes. “I’mma fuck you this rough. Right here. Right now.”
“Nnngh… Ahn…” and when you dug your nails into his arm, it made him quicken his pace. Your eyes rolled, and you bit your bottom lip and started to move your hips to his rhythm, like it was his own beat of his drum. A low growl sounded, and he pressed his lips to your neck, groaning heavy with a salty after taste on his tongue.
“You’ll like that…?” He stopped to whisper, lips moving hot against your ear. You couldn’t even answer, just a string of incoherent, jumbled words that were slurred out in between gasps and moans was all you could muster out and Katsuki took that as a yes.
“Lookin’ so sexy in that goddamn dress. Fuck…”
He continued holding up your leg but with his other hand he began fumbling with the zipper of his pants. His bulge, outrageous in shape, that you thought most of it was an illusion caused by the shadows. He was so clumsy with his hand that it took him ages to zip down his pants and reveal his fuzzy blonde pubes.
“F-F-Future leader…!” The both of you froze, hearing a woman’s yell before she gasped. Katsuki didn’t even turn around, his next words came out in a roar.
“Whaaaat?!”
“I-I’m sorry to interrupt but-but… there’re a few drunk men causing a scene and they might fight,” you could see the woman behind Katsuki’s head. She stayed a good distance away but anyone in their right mind would’ve known what was happening between you two by one glance. The blush on her face was a good indicator that she knew exactly what.
“Then get the old hag—I’m busy!!”
“We can’t find her. We assumed she retired for the night,” Katsuki resumed pressing kisses on your neck and jaw, fingers on your clit moving yet again, earning a purr of his name from you. The woman gulped, not knowing whether to walk away or to try again. She was feeling ballsy tonight.
“F-Future leader…?”
“Just give me a damn minute!!” A delayed gasp left you when Katsuki’s hand left and suddenly slammed his fist on the wall next to your head. He then fumbled with the zipper of his pants, his fuzzy pubes disappearing behind the waistband. “I’ll be back for that sweet ass. Just wait for me in our cave…” he husked with a smirk so wide and handsome that your clit throbbed without a single touch. But what was more criminally was when he brought his fingers that was coated with your wetness into his mouth, licking and sucking on it, gaze held strong against your own as he commented how delicious you were. You nearly died.
He then turned around a little too fast to where he almost lost his balance, but he regained it just as quickly before murmuring to the woman:
“Now show me the way so I can knock those idiots out.”
As the Katsuki and the woman left, you saw that she glanced back at you with eyes of slight envy and adoration. You soon straightened your underwear and pulled your dress down, licking your swollen lips. You remained on the wall, in a daze as the world around you felt like it was underwater. The sound of drums and people voices were merely a muffle to your ears. The sight before you spun when you pushed yourself off the wall and swayed with every step made.
You didn’t even recognize your surroundings and wobbled into the first cave you saw. Going down the narrow curve of the hallway that was only dimly lit by the wall lanterns, you felt a stirring in your stomach with a dull ache. Your inner cheeks became lathered with saliva building up and a gag that heaved your body forward was suppressed by your hands that slapped over your mouth. Ugh. You wanted to vomit. But you swallowed back whatever nearly came up and held onto the wall before moving. The first cloth makeshift door you felt out was immediately enter by you with no warning, no notice, just an idea that you thought it was your cave you were entering in.
So of course, when you stumbled upon the sight of a nude Ochako bouncing on the lap of your childhood friend, Izuku, the alcohol in your system was enough to have you shrieking.
Ochako hurled herself off of him with a scream and Izuku yelped as his dick flung out of her. He quickly gathered the sheep wool covers, first covering Ochako and then himself with his own clothes. Just what the hell were you seeing?
They both stared at you with wide, glossy eyes in what made seconds of silence feel like hours. And when they couldn’t handle the pressure of being stared at, they both stammered out, frantically.
“I-It was my idea!”
“I invited Izuku!”
You didn’t stay for them to explain further. You ran out, stunned at what you saw but was too drunk to comprehend it, you just knew you walked into something you shouldn’t have.
You followed the walls out of the cave and the urge to gag returned, feeling the saliva building again and you suddenly hunch over, and vomit surged from within you and splattered on the floor. Ugh, it’s brown with chunks. You wiped your mouth with a grimace.
“Hey, you okay?” You then felt a hand on your back. “Is this your first time drinking? And that bonehead son of mine left you alone?”
It was Mitsuki, bending slightly and peering into your face as she began to rub your back. She looked concerned, but you saw her knitted eyebrows and frowns as ripples like you were staring at her reflection in the water and then you threw up again.
“Come on, let’s get you to your cave,” Mitsuki wrapped her arm around your body to hold you up when you were done and slowly guided you in the right direction.
Katsuki was practically growling as he settled those rowdy wolves who were trying to fight each other. He didn’t even know what the issue was about. Once that woman pointed him to the right direction, Katsuki punched them square in the face and they fell to the ground, holding their cheeks. He yelled at them until they ran with their tails between their legs.
He was furious. He was seconds away from being buried between your thighs and out of all times, the pack needed his help. What kind of bullshit was that?
He bared his teeth to the starry skies, snarls stuttering through gritted teeth. Whatever. At least he could look forward to you waiting in his cave, legs sprawled and hopefully as needy as he left you. He waddled in his steps, swaying on his wobbly legs. He was moving as fast as he could, but it felt like he was traveling through the forest to get there.
When he finally entered the cave, thrusting through the hanging cloth with so much gusto that it nearly tore off, it wasn’t a surprise to find you in bed but what he wasn’t expecting was for you to be sleeping, deeply, snoring lightly with your arms and legs sprawled out and it definitely wasn’t in the way he initially thought of it.
“Fuck… are you serious?” It felt like he missed the moment of a lifetime. You actually changed your mind and wanted to have sex. Although you were drunk and probably weren’t in the right state of mind to answer, Katsuki, being in that same boat, also just wanted to purely act on his desires. Looking so hot in that dress had awakened something in him and he knew that this final week before the wedding was going to be a cruel one.
He sighed softly, shrugged his cape from his shoulders and kicked off his boots. He pulled his pants until he was down to his underwear and joined you in bed. He slipped his arms around you and couldn’t resist kissing your neck lightly when you snuggled close to him. You mumbled something, but it wasn’t a sign that you were going to wake up. He growled lowly. He would just have to be patient. One week left. Just one week.
At dawn, a skull-splitting headache was there to greet you and it made you sensitive to everything around you, the candle lights, your slight movements, even Katsuki’s voice that sounded low, not really knowing what he said but knew it was full of concern for you.
The memories of last night came to you in bits and pieces. The first one being you discovering Izuku and Ochako’s relationship and the very last one being Katsuki fondling you against the wall. If you weren’t too busy dealing with this throbbing pain, you probably would’ve thrown yourself out of Katsuki’s arms and ran out the room in embarrassment.
After promising yourself to subdue these emotions until the wedding night, you nearly failed and allowed Katsuki to do such naughty things to you. You buried your face in your hands and he took that as you trying to get closer to him and slid his hand under your knee, pulling your leg until it hooked around his waist. You hope this wasn’t going to become a habit for him. Sure, you were pretty bold last night but you didn’t know if your heart could take feeling so exposed to him.
“I guess it’s true. Humans get these so called ‘hangovers’ after drinking,” Katsuki was softly stroking the back of your head.
“Ughhhh…. I’m never drinking again…” you whined, and he laughed, hand moving south to tread along your back.

Wolves Among Us - Bakugo x Reader (XIII)
Wolves Among Us – Bakugo x Reader
Series Warning: Fantasy AU, Fluff, NSFW
(Chapter XIII/??) All chapters in AO3 and masterlist
Since this fantasy au doesn’t take place in modern times, a lot of the ideology that reader learned when she was younger might feel dated. Although, I am aware that this is still a practice today and there’s nothing completely wrong with it, but I just wanted to explain that just in case someone feels… offended. Also, Katsuki’s instincts are separate from his actual thought process, it’s something that moves him to do things because he just gets a feeling that he has too and at times, he could lose himself to it.
Enjoy, loves

XIII: Little did they know, the stars were above
“Let me have you.”
You gasped when you heard Katsuki’s whisper in your ear, your relaxed body instantly tensing once you realized what he meant. He pulled away from you, hands still latched on to your arms as he eyed your face. It was slightly flushed from all that furious kissing he gave you, but you were also looking at him as if he had four heads. He understood it as a simple question. You didn’t have to look at him like that. Katsuki figured that even though he had claimed you as his, in reality, he didn’t do anything to actually claim you. There was this feeling he felt when he saw you hug Izuku. It was uneasiness, and because of that uneasiness he had the urge to attack him, claw him up until there was nothing left of him. His instincts as a wolf was warning him about the danger of something being taken from him and although he logically understood that wasn’t the case, his instincts still reacted as such. He concluded that it was because you technically weren’t his. There wasn’t a bond between you two except for the emotional one, but nothing tangible or physical—nothing for Katsuki’s instincts to reassure itself that there was nothing in this world that can take you away from him but death.
He wondered if you had misheard him since you froze after he spoke to you. You were still catching your breath; your lips were parted, and your chest rose and fell, moving a bit faster than normal. The reason for your stunned expression was because you had escaped within your head. Your rationality was arguing with your irrational thinking—with your desires. You thought back to the time when you were younger, remembering the values the women in your village taught you. Izuku’s mother, Inko, being one of them, had taught you since the moment you began to bleed monthly that virginity was seen as something important to a woman—something that should be treasured and given to the man you love. Those deep conversations you had with her, sitting around the fireplace, sometimes with a bowl of vegetables in your lap and a knife in your hands to prepare dinner, was always about romance and marriage and stories about Izuku’s late father.
“Woman to woman, dear, sex is something you should hold off until you find someone you love—someone you marry. Don’t fall to temptations—and I know how hard that can be. When I was your age, I wanted every handsome man I saw but I stayed strong. Listen… and listen well, ____. When you find the man of your dreams, believe me, you would want to give him everything but don’t, not until he seals the deal and marries you. That’s when you reward him all of you… but right now…”
You could still remember her exact words but the very last few were fleeting your memory. The rest were stuck in your head, echoing as if your mind were an empty space. You remember thinking confidently that you would never fall to temptations but now being in love, you realized how hard it was to restrain yourself. Even right now as one of Katsuki’s hand found your thigh and began to caress it (soothing or urging you, you weren’t sure) that it was hard to bring yourself to say no.
Curiosity was a strong entity. You’ve come to know that from time and time again whenever you were with Katsuki. It was what brought you to him. You were curious about his species, about his culture, his ears, tail, fangs, claws, his brash personality all the way to his subtle kind one. And ever since his lips had touched you against that tree many weeks ago, you had grown curious of how else he could pleasure you.
You bit your bottom lip, eyes fluttering away from Katsuki as if you were too shy to look at him any longer. The growing silence was doing a number of things to Katsuki. He began to convince himself that you possibly didn’t want this, that perhaps you didn’t want him. It struck him. An impenetrable part of him surprisingly cracked, and that crack could only be described as insecurity beating its way into his ego. He didn’t know about your inner turmoil, couldn’t read it from how your face contorted into uneasiness. Silence had a knack of creating misunderstandings, especially to overthinkers.
Katsuki began to pull his hand off of you, ready to dismiss what he had said but you grabbed his fleeing hand and returned it to your thigh, lacing your fingers with his. At this point, you weren’t sure what you were thinking.
“Okay,” it was all but blank in your head, rationality quickly fleeing you, but you couldn’t deny that unsettled feeling in your heart like something was squeezing it until it hurt to breathe.
All Katsuki gave was a nod, he didn’t question nor ask for an explanation but soon gave you a kiss for you to melt in. You unraveled your hand from his and returned to burying it within his hair. That simple gesture already pulling a low growl from him. He lifted you effortlessly from the desk and you wrapped your legs around his waist, so you wouldn’t slide off but Katsuki was holding your thighs so tightly that it was impossible for you to fall out of his grasp.
You soon felt the soft plush of the cushions under you and you recognized it to be the bed that you and Katsuki shared. But Katsuki’s lips didn’t keep you thinking about it long, he nibbled and sucked on your lips, completely devouring them in his mouth at one point. He was becoming increasingly aggressive the moment he went between your legs, as if he belong there, like he was the final piece to your puzzle or something. His aggression, or better yet, his violence was wreaking havoc on your poor inexperience body and suddenly… you began to feel scared.
The pain in your heart grew when he departed from the kiss, the depart making a loud smacking sound because of how hard he was sucking on your lips. You stared at him as he straightened himself. He licked his lips briefly before he grabbed the hem of your skirt and started to pull it down your legs, you immediately felt exposed by both the chill of the room and Katsuki’s eyes. It was strange how you felt scared and arouse at the same time. Two conflicting feelings that left you confused about whether to proceed or to stop. Your skirt was tossed to the side and Katsuki instantly dived back onto you, now nothing to stop the friction of when he began to grind his hips against you. Your eyes widened, and your body tensed at the feeling of his bulge rubbing up on you.
Your tension had gone completely unnoticed by Katsuki and that you had stopped participating in his advances. He was nearly gone; his instincts were consuming his very thoughts that would have noticed your discomfort but the only thing that mattered to him at that point was making you officially his. He wanted you. He hungered for you. He kissed you to devour all of you, and he surely would if you didn’t stop him.
Was it too late to stop him? You already told him this was okay but what if you didn’t think it was okay after? Would he get upset? Would he leave? Would he feel disappointed in you? His lips moved to your jaw, lining it with wet kisses until it touched your neck all while he moved against you, his hips grounding you into the bed like he was relieving the swell of his crotch. He was closer than he had ever been before. It made you think it was possible for your bodies to fuse because of how close he was. His moans were loud in your ear despite him slobbering on your neck mixed with gasps and growls that would’ve sent your hips rolling with his if you weren’t petrified by his aggression.
“…but right now, you don’t owe a man nothing.”
Those fleeting words returned—something had clicked within you when you heard them. You placed your hands flat against his chest and pushed him away. At first, Katsuki didn’t notice you had shoved him and pushed against your hands, returning his lips to your neck and hips still wildly moving. You had a glance of his eyes and noticed the light within them was gone, a dull color of red and possibly the only thing bringing it some life was the lust behind it. The sound of his name was a quiet mewl from you and then it fell into a series of gasps that you couldn’t restrain because you couldn’t deny how good you felt right now. But you weren’t like Katsuki where you lost yourself to desire, you had shoved him again, and this time a shriek of his name had stopped him.
Katsuki’s face immediately scrunched up when he back away from you like he was rudely interrupted from eating a meal he starved for. He didn’t look angry, but you weren’t entirely sure. You gathered the covers that were bunched up to the side and shielded your body and even though it was only your legs that were exposed, you still felt the need to cover all of you.
“I can’t—I can’t do this,” you breathed and then reached for your skirt that you found was to the other side of you. “I can’t do this.”
“What the hell happened?” Katsuki asked once he settled down. He didn’t want to admit he blacked out for a moment. He remembered you under him but then it was like he wasn’t consciously there.
“I just—” you were trying to calm yourself down, taking deep breaths to slow your frantic heart. “I want to—but I can’t. I don’t even think I’m ready for this…”
“What do you mean ‘you can’t’?” Katsuki’s voice rose. You wouldn’t be surprised if the rooms close by heard him. He wasn’t angry, like what you had initially thought, but he was really annoyed at the interruption and the fact that he had to sit there with an unresolved erection.
You stumbled on your words, not sure what to tell him first, but you looked away from him like you were ashamed at yourself. Though, there was nothing to be ashamed of, deep down you knew that, and Inko and the rest of the women in your village knew. “I-It’s my first time, Katsuki…” you told him as if he should’ve known but Katsuki had no clue about your reveal. He looked you over, skepticism in every motion of his eyes. He didn’t believe you.
“A beautiful woman like you?” Especially at your age? Katsuki thought you were joking.
“Didn’t I tell you I never slept with a man before?”
“Yeah—but! I didn’t think… that’s what you meant.”
“Humans—well, in my village, we’re not allowed to have sex before marriage so…”
“You’re kidding! What kind of fucked up rule is that?” Now Katsuki was yelling, frustrated that he had to sit there with a thumping erection all because of some silly human customs that didn’t make any sense to him. “I’m willing to bet my entire position that most people in your village already fucked before marriage!”
He wasn’t wrong. You could remember stumbling upon people either in the forest or the side of the bar’s building and Izuku would quickly guide you away from the area, a bright blush taking over his cheeks and ears when you would innocently question what they were doing. You were so young at the time. Still, it was a matter of integrity and even if everyone around you were doing it, it didn’t make it right to follow the trend.
“Does that mean you’re not a…?”
“Virgin? I lost that shit a while back! We don’t treat mating like its taboo. When we reach sexually maturity, we fall into our urges as we should!”
You shouldn’t have been so surprised that Katsuki wasn’t a virgin but what really struck you was that since he wasn’t a virgin it would mean that he had access to a woman and possibly someone who’s in the pack.
“Who did you mate with?” It was a simple question.
Katsuki bit the inside of his cheek and grumbled. “Does it matter?”
“If she’s still in this pack, yeah,” you stared at him through your lashes, not aware that you were glaring.
An exasperated growl left him. “Don’t tell me you’re gonna be one of those girls.”
“What do you mean ‘those girls’?”
“Those girls who actually gives a shit who I fucked before I even knew they existed. I’m not going to be held accountable for that crap.”
“I’m not holding you accountable, I just wanna know if they’re still in this pack!” You rushed your words in a fury of shouts, balling the covers up in your fists before throwing them down in an almost childlike tantrum. Katsuki gave you a long fixed, vacant look before he finally gave in.
He sighed, “yeah some of them are.”
“Some!?” You couldn’t believe your ears.
He growled your name in warning. “I don’t have time for this shit.”
“I mean how am I supposed to feel, Katsuki? The women in your pack know you intimately, while I—”
“I never loved them. It was nothing more than a physical relationship. I had urges and I just—"
“So, are you only having just ‘urges’ with me? Is that all that drives you to mate with me?” Maybe you were overreacting but during this time, you were too livid to notice.
“Okay, now you’re being fucking stupid.”
“Don’t call me stupid!”
“Well that’s what you are if you think I only want to fuck you cause of my urges! You’re not like those other women! I never claimed them as mine!” Katsuki scrambled towards you and he grabbed your arms and lightly shook you. You stared at him, clutching the covers close. You were still sensitive to his touch. “Look, the only woman I want to fuck is you and not only because I have urges but because I love you. Is that so hard to see?”
“You love me?”
You blinked like you never had the idea of Katsuki being in love with you, but it was because you had never heard him say it before. His hold on you softened as well as his voice. “Yeah, I wanna marry you, ‘course I do.”
“I just never heard you say it before... at least not directly,” you felt your face warm up. A sheepish smile rose.
“Well, now you heard it.”
The silence was only but a moment before your soft request ended it. “Will you say it again...?”
Katsuki smacked his lips at your request, almost like it took energy to say his next words. He had to admit that it was odd to form his lips around those words, yet one look at your big eyes pleading to hear them suddenly felt as if there was nothing weighing them down. They came out smooth as if he’s been saying it all along.
“I love you.”
Giddy. It would’ve been the word he used to describe the chuckle that left you. A sound that even made him want to laugh along with you just so he could join you in your happiness.
“I love you too, Katsuki, so much,” he kissed you, humming once he touched your lips. He pulled away shortly but not before you gave him a few kisses of your own on his lips and cheek. He thought it was childish that you always kissed his cheeks but never hated it.
“Will waiting till the night of the wedding be comfortable for you?” He asked softly between the break of your kisses. He knew how badly he wanted you. Even with all the fuss, he was still very much turned on and ready to rumble if you were to change your mind, but you were also very important to him that he would put aside his needs in order for you to feel comfortable.
“Hm-mm,” you nodded and gave a short ‘thanks’, slowly lowering yourself on the bed and pulling the covers over your shoulders. Katsuki gave a smirk when he saw your eyes fluttering.
“Tired?” He asked.
“Yeah, even if it is the afternoon.”
“Then sleep. You still need to recover.”
You nodded again, closing your eyes briefly before you opened them again and saw Katsuki staring at your face. “Will you lie with me?”
“If you want me to…” he grumbled and soon joined you under the covers. You were reminded that your legs were bare when you tangled them with Katsuki’s and you weren’t entirely thrown off to Katsuki being shirtless because he often was when he came to bed. His strong arms settled around you, one going under your head and the other around your body. You were pulled to his chest to where your hands were curled against it. You shut your eyes and allowed yourself to be engulfed in his natural body heat. The soft scent of smoke and earth surrounded your nostrils and relaxed any tension you once felt in your body. You were slowly surrendering to the lullaby that was Katsuki’s presence.
“I’m sorry if you’re disappointed,” you suddenly spoke up, words a little slurred, eyes still closed.
“I’m not disappointed,” he immediately responded.
“But... you were expecting something, right? I’m sorry I can’t be ready like those women.”
“Stop saying ‘sorry’ and go to sleep,” he growled. It sounded gentle. “And I don’t want you to be like those women. Whenever you’re ready, I’ll gladly show you a good fucking time—and we’ll save all of that for that night, so don’t worry about it.” He felt a nod from you and then you snuggled your body closer, trying to eliminate the small space between you two. He heard your whisper of your love for him and he squeezed your body in response, murmuring:
“I know you do.”
…
Katsuki’s favorite pastime was to watch you sleep. He’s been doing it since the first time you slept in his bed which is why you woke up to crimson eyes beaming into your face, unwavering like two suns, stark, in the center of a clear sky where you had no choice but to focus on them. He was always so still when he did it too like he pretended he wasn’t there that even when you caught him doing it, it would feel like he was invisible to your eye. You wondered what he thought about because his expression was always blank, sometimes you believed he was fantasizing and he just happened to use your face as a resting area for his eyes but then you would smile brightly and greet him with the most loving tone he had ever heard and his face would immediately puff up in red and that blank expression would gradually change into a grimace.
“What are you smiling for?” He would usually say and create some distance like he was caught doing something he shouldn’t have done yet his tone made it seem like you were the culprit.
“What’s the time?” Disregarding his question, you rubbed your eyes and sat up. Katsuki watched the covers fall from your shoulders to the start of your hips.
“I don’t know, it’s night and the storm’s over.”
“Finally, I need a bath,” you grumbled, standing up shortly. Your legs weren’t spared from Katsuki’s gaze, neither was your ass when you bended over to pick up your skirt. He watched you slid your legs into the opening. Oddly, time felt slow when he saw it, taking in every detail of your leg even the small scars that nearly faded with your skin tone where even you couldn’t spot them if told to point them out.
“After your bath, there’s something I want to show you,” Katsuki decided to get dressed as well, getting up to pick up his shirt from the ground. You were already by the entrance, slipping your feet into your boots.
“Oh—Oh okay? Where should I meet you?”
“Just outside the bath entrance is okay.”
And outside the bath entrance was exactly where you waited for Katsuki. He was a few minutes late but then again, he probably thought you were going to be in there for a while. The bathing area for the wolves was located a little bit off the mountain but closer to the valley where the Fenrir and his pack resided, a communal bath naturally heated by the earth. The wolves have built a sturdy structure around the hot springs, dividing it by gender and even creating a changing room for both sides. The wolves have once again impressed you. They weren’t the primitive, aggressive species you were taught back at your village. They learned how to use the nature around them without disrupting the order of it.
“Are you coming up?” Ochako had slipped through the cloth hanging at the entrance. Her brown hair was still slightly wet, losing the bouncy shape it normally had when dry.
“Oh, no, I’m meeting up with Katsuki.”
Ochako gave you a look, her eyebrows rose, and she smiled slightly. “You guys aren’t wasting any time, huh?”
“Wha…?”
“I smelled his scent on you before your bath.”
Her response only earned a blank stare from you but when you realized the meaning behind her words, she enjoyed watching your face lit up into a blush.
“I—I—we didn’t do anything!”
“I know,” you wouldn’t be able to walk until the next day if you did, but she didn’t want to tell you that. Rumors about Katsuki’s love making were always circling around the pack. “Still, you should have some fun especially since your wedding is soon.”
“We’re going to wait until the wedding night…” you shyly told her, gripping at your skirt.
“He truly does love you.”
“You think so?”
“It’s not even a question. Any man willing to wait for a woman especially one with a large appetite means he holds that woman dear to him.”
“A large appetite?”
“The fuck do you mean ‘large appetite’?” From out of nowhere, Katsuki was suddenly at your side. You didn’t even hear him coming and it nearly startled you, making your shoulders tense at the sound of his voice.
“You know what I mean. Have fun, guys!” Ochako stayed smiling even as Katsuki growled at her exit. You pondered over what she meant but not for long as Katsuki grabbed your arm for your attention.
“Hey, how was your bath?”
“It was nice. I really needed it,” you brought a hand to the side of your neck, looking away from Katsuki to hide the blush that blossomed on your cheeks. You didn’t understand why you were feeling so shy around him. Perhaps the memory of what happened this afternoon was still affecting you. That was the closest you were to him, especially the feeling of him grinding on you was something you wouldn’t be able to forget. You glanced up at him and he stared at you normally. Wasn’t he affected by it too?
“Good. We’re gonna have to climb the mountain.”
“What do you want to show me anyway?”
“Why the hell would I tell you now? You’ll see when we get there.”
Katsuki began to lead you with his hand on the small of your back. As Katsuki said, the two of you had to climb the mountain, passing where the pack resided. The climb was quite rigorous at times and Katsuki had no problems with carrying you when the mountain become too steep. It was these moments when you appreciated him, he would never say a word and would just crouch in front of you and motion with his hand for you to climb on his back. He could always sense when you were in distress like he could hear the sound of your beating heart or feel the pain of your exhausted muscles of your calves. He was always watching you even when it felt like he wasn’t.
When the two of you reached the top, stopping at the last natural landing of the mountain, the air around you were thin, but it wasn’t the atmosphere taking your breath away but rather the sight of the starry sky above. You have never seen it like this before. Was it because the trees would normally shroud the night skies? Shielding this gorgeous sight that had been hovering over you for years? No, even if you manage to catch the sight of the sky, it never looked like this. The stars were endless, stretching across the voided space until it disappeared behind the snowy trees at the horizon. The moon was only a crescent and there was something in the middle of the sky, like bunches of clouds ripping across. It was an intergalactic scar of gas and stars torn into the skies. And on the cliff before you, you noticed that the snow was cleared off and there was a bundle of pillows and a basket near the edge.
“Do you like it…?” Grumbled Katsuki, not sure if your silence was a good thing. But when you turned to him, eyes lustering from tears, nodding generously at him, he nearly sighed in relief. He gave the widest smirk you’ve seen yet.
“I… I love this, Katsuki… did you do all this?”
“Obviously not the sky but I wanted to show you this place. I usually hang here by myself—whenever I need alone time,” you felt his hand on the small of your back pushing you forward as he led you to the pillows. He helped you sit down first before he joined you, and he slipped an arm around your shoulders and brought you close until your head rested on his chest. You would’ve noticed him bringing the basket closer if your eyes weren’t on the skies above. You were individually looking at the stars, suddenly feeling overwhelmed by the amount. You felt as if you couldn’t give all of them your attention and struggled to grasp that the sight before you were real. You wondered how faraway those stars were. They looked as if they were within your reach when in fact they were eons away. They decorated the sky like gems embedded in the earth, nature rehashing its own work in all parts of the universe.
“Uh—I’m not good at this stuff—wooing a woman,” Katsuki suddenly spoke and broke the spell the stars had on you.
“Really? I would think otherwise. You’re doing a fantastic job,” you reassured him and laced your fingers together with the hand on your shoulder.
“Still, I’m not mushy or romantic or whatever the hell men like to do with their women—it’s just not me. So, this is the only thing I thought of that you might like. Especially since that shit happened between us—I don’t know—I thought you would be afraid of me.”
“Not at all.”
“Not at all?”
“Nope.”
“Why?” It baffled Katsuki. You were literally on your death bed in constant pain where not even sleep could bring you ease because of the haunting nightmares that would plague you all because of Katsuki. Why, it baffled him that you would still allow him to touch you, to kiss you, to hold you when you suffered not only from physical pain but emotional.
“I don’t know,” it was an honest answer. “But I think from the moment you first cleaned my wound, my fear of you never came back. Even during the Izuku situation when you yelled at me—”
Katsuki groaned. “Don’t mention that,” he was trying to forget about his embarrassing outburst.
“No, really, even during that time, I still felt no fear towards you. If anything, I was really angry at you.”
“Make sense. I was an ass.”
“As long as you know,” you grinned up at him and Katsuki playfully bared his fangs at you and you mimicked him, earning a deep chuckle from him and a short kiss that felt wet.
“There’s another thing,” he placed the basket in the space between your bodies.
“What is it?”
“Go ahead and open it.”
Doing as he said, you pushed the top of the basket in and it revealed a red sheet at the bottom. Curious, you lifted the red sheet and a gasp left you, dropping the sheet in shock, making you pull away from Katsuki before you picked it back up to reveal what was under it. You pulled it out and held it in your hands before you stared at Katsuki with widened eyes. You had never seen anything like it. It was a necklace that was made with melted down gold, tiny rubies—the same shade as Katsuki’s eyes decorated the gold band until it led up to the large ruby pendent that sat at the center—it was twinkling under the soft glow of the moon. You couldn’t imagine how beautiful it would look under the sun.
You were speechless, so Katsuki answered the question he assumed you wanted to ask.
“This—this is something special,” he spoke quietly. He bit his lip, choosing his next words carefully. He was painfully reminded again how he wasn’t good at being a romantic. “This is a necklace passed down for generations in my family. My grandmother gave it to my father to give to my mother and—my mother gave it to me to give to you,” it was the first time you heard Katsuki mention his father, but the situation prevented you from asking more about him. “It’s… what we give to who we want to marry and—I know I was supposed to give it to you earlier, but you know. You even said you wanted this traditionally done so…” God, he was rambling. Katsuki doesn’t ramble so why couldn’t he just get straight to the point? “So… let’s make this official, yeah? Marry me, be my wife,” he didn’t even wait for your answer. He snatched the necklace and was already dressing it around your neck. You wanted to say something, but your voice had died, the fat tears that trickled down your cheeks spoke for you. You mustered a shaky smile and wiped your tears with your wrists, nodding all in the same motion.
His claws brushed over the golden band as he noticed the hue had complemented your skin tone. It decorated your neck beautifully. It felt as if it belonged there and Katsuki was just returning it. With this, it was official. You will become his wife and he, your husband.
You threw yourself in his arms, losing your language to mumbles and breathless gasps from sobs that even Katsuki, with his sharp hearing, couldn’t sound them apart. He chuckled at your disheveled appearance. A large hand threading through your hair at the back of your head. You could occasionally feel the gentle brush of his tail hitting the back of your hands that gripped at his back. It was moving wildly, shaking back and forth in excitement, a gesture not too far from how Katsuki was feeling.
“I don’t deserve your forgiveness,” he whispered into your hair, his breath tickling your scalp. He soon felt you shaking your head. “But as your husband, I’ll try my best to make you happy. I’ll make sure of it,” he planted his lips on your forehead and rubbed the side of his face against your head. He inhaled the fresh scent of your hair, taking note that it was still slightly moist from your bath. He briefly thought of the dangers of you falling ill but he grew selfish, not wanting to end this alone time earlier than expected.
Little did they know, the stars were above them, twinkling silently, having forgotten them to the feeling of having each other in their arms.

XII: Mend
As fast as Katsuki saw your eyes on him was as fast as when he turned around and held onto the windowsill to climb over it. And when you realized he was leaving, you lifted your body off the bed, struggling upon shaky arms as it felt like you were pushing up with a ton of stones on your back.
“W-Wait. Katsuki!” Regardless, you forced your body onto your legs and immediately stumbled and fell to the ground. Katsuki was stopped by the loud thud of when your body hit the floor and he was by your side in an instant.
“Are you stupid?! Your body is still healing! You can’t suddenly get up like that!” He gathered you in his arms, hooking them around your back and under your knees before he effortlessly lifted you up. He carried you to the bed, quickly looking over you to see if you were alright. He saw that you were gazing at him, but he missed the look of relief in your eyes as he was too concerned with checking if you had any injuries from your fall.
“Katsuki,” you softly called him, feeling a smile growing on your face but you were still feeling so weak that you could barely hold it for a few seconds. “Is it really you, Katsuki?” You began to reach for his cheek and Katsuki grabbed that hand. His hold so light you barely realized it.
“Yeah,” he awkwardly shifted his shoulders, glowing red eyes flicking around before they landed on you. He was kneeling by your bedside after he laid you down on the bed. You attempted to sit up, but he quickly held his hand out to stop you as soon as he had the instinct that you were getting up.
“I dreamt about you. I was getting attacked and you… you saved me. And then I was falling… for what felt like a long time. I could sense that I was hurtling towards the ground and… I was sure death was awaiting me but… I fell into your arms instead. You saved me again, Katsuki—and here you are, right by my side. Maybe I’m still dreaming…?”
“You’re not dreaming… I’m here,” he squeezed your hand, reassuring you that this was in fact reality. The Katsuki before you were not an illusion created by sleep but was the real Katsuki you had yearned to see.
“Hm-mm,” you smiled softly, nodding, and his heart fluttered by that simple gesture of yours. “You’re here.”
But as soon as he recovered, logic settling in, he had to remind himself of his plan. “But after tonight… I’m leaving—for good.”
Instantly, your smile was wiped off, a frown settled shortly after. “Why must you leave?”
“It’s what’s best…”
“You’re always saying you know what’s best, but do you truly know? You’re always handling things alone… why can’t we just think of something together? Why must you isolate me?”
“Look at what I have done to you... me, your lover! Not only that but I didn’t even chase after you—I was so mad, and I made you suffer—for what! My jealous fit?” That was him being jealous? You were sure it was more than that. But in his rage, he had bounced up from his kneeled position, growling under his breath as he couldn’t help but recall the image of you nearly at death’s door just moments ago. He was visibly shaken, rolling his hands into fists as they shook violently at his sides. His body so tense that his veins were pulsated through the skin of his biceps. If it weren’t for the long sleeves of his top, surely you would’ve saw them scattered around his arms. It wasn’t pure anger that motivated his reaction but sorrow and utter regret.
“Katsuki, please, sit with me. Let’s talk,” Katsuki stared down at you like he was contemplating whether to listen to you or not. And after what felt like minutes under his crimson gaze, he decided to sit down on the bed with a soft grunt. The springs crinkled underneath his weight. You even felt the bed shift when he sat, his back slightly hunched and his legs spread as his arms lined with his thighs.
You slowly sat up and soon you felt Katsuki’s arm around your waist just as you placed your feet on the ground. You knew he was helping you steady yourself but when his fingers pressed into your side and that feathery feeling you knew all too well started tickling your lower stomach, you couldn’t help but blush.
“Hey, take it easy. Your body is still healing,” he had said once he pushed your body against his. He wanted you to use him as support but all it did was deepen the color on your cheeks. There was a silence shortly after like one of you were waiting for each other to speak up first. You decided to break it.
“It was an accident,” you started, turning your head to look at him. Katsuki kept his eyes to the floor, teeth clenched together at your words. “You didn’t mean to hurt me. I know you would never hurt me on purpose. And—so many things happened—the marriage announcement, Izuku, and now this. We’ve been fighting with each other for too long and I miss being in your arms—being together,” you placed a hand on his lap. “Why can’t we just be that? Together?”
Katsuki’s absent response unsettled you. You adjusted yourself, both hands on his lap now as you gazed up at him. He still refused to look at you. His eyebrows were knitted together, and you wondered if he was angry or in such deep thought that it caused his expression to contort like that. “We can work this out, can’t we?” You didn’t want to sound like you were begging but loved Katsuki too much to let him go. You gave up so much of your life for him and he was all you had left. You couldn’t handle a life without Katsuki, because he was now a part of it.
“You’re okay with the marriage?” He finally looked at you, his crimson eyes steady as they searched for answers within your irises.
“I-I am…” you started twiddling with your fingers as they remained on his lap. “But maybe if it was all done in a more traditional way, we wouldn’t have fought like that. I would’ve loved if you told me privately first. Marriage is such a big step in anyone’s relationship and to find out with the pack was… awful.”
“I know—I… should’ve told you first. I just knew you would’ve said yes so—”
“You don’t know what I would’ve said, Katsuki,” you didn’t understand his logic. Was he really so sure of himself that he thought you would agree to this willingly? Sure, you love him but what if you weren’t mentally ready for marriage? “It really hurt me. Am I not a person that you can rely on? Must you hide things from me and separate me from your plans? I just don’t understand.”
“There is nothing to understand. I just fucked up. I…” Katsuki found himself stumbling on his words. He knew he wasn’t the best communicator and he never cared to improve but now he realized it was putting a strain on his relationship. He could no longer act alone in his endeavors. He had to think about his actions together with you.
“Then next time, just talk to me. You know I’ll always listen to you.”
“I know,” you frowned when you heard his grumble. You wanted an apology, but you decided to accept this.
“And Izuku? Are you okay with him?”
Katsuki sucked his teeth and growled softly. Just remembering the green hair on Izuku’s head was enough to annoy him. “If I never see you two embracing ever again, sure.”
“Katsuki, he’s like my brother. We grew up together after my parents died and I always thought of him as family. He isn’t anyone you should feel threatened by.”
He spoke through his gritted teeth. “I’m not threatened by that worthless piece of—"
“Katsuki,” you warned.
He snapped his head away. “Che, whatever.”
“Now the pack…”
“What about them? They’ll get used to you in time. They just have to deal with it.” Katsuki shrugged, “besides, Round-face, Weird-hair and his brats, and the old hag likes you so that’s a start.”
“Must you give everyone mean nicknames?”
“It’s easier calling them how I want,” he spoke curtly. You knew Katsuki wouldn’t change his ways, not that you wanted him to. You just simply wanted to know why he did and wondered if he also had a nickname for you.
“What about yourself?”
“Hah?”
“You still seem frustrated… with yourself.”
“I’ll be careful from now on. I know humans are weak and all and…” he soon sighed, cutting his ramble short. You watched as he stared at the corner of the room, getting lost in his thoughts before he finally let out a soft growl and you felt yourself being squeezed against him until you placed your hands on his chest. His glowing eyes returned, and your heart skipped a beat as they bore into yours. They were beautiful like always. The very sight of them had the ability to bring summer into the cold atmospheres of winter. They rattled your very soul in ways that were both familiar yet foreign. It was very possible to forget all the anger you felt towards his actions just by a single glance of them. “I will never hurt you like that again. I promise.”
He no longer looked upset and was calm, his face voided of all emotion except for the determination lit in his eyes. With his other hand, he grabbed yours, squeezing it tightly before he intertwined your fingers together. And suddenly, you were reminded of why you fell for him.
“I believe you,” you told him and returned the squeeze. Your lips curling into a smile that made heat rise within Katsuki, flushing his cheeks into a soft red. And suddenly, he too was reminded of why he fell in love with you.
…
The wind continued to howl until it had reached morning and what felt like a brief break of the storm had arrived. The clouds had parted just enough for the sun’s rays to break through them and although the clouds were still thick enough where it shielded the sun’s appearance, its presence was still apparent. You were woken up by the soft rays of the sun hitting against your eyelids and you were suddenly aware of the warmness coming from both under you and above you. You couldn’t remember the last time you woken up so warm, like you were surrounded by summer’s embrace, not humid to where it would be suffocating but toasty enough to lure you back to sleep.
It took you a moment to realize that you were directly on top of Katsuki, legs spread against his hips, chests together with your head resting on his collarbones. And on top of you was Katsuki’s fur cape used as a cover to shield both of you from the cold, but you knew it was mostly for you as Katsuki always claimed he never felt cold enough. Your arms were all over the place like your body was trying to make do with the tiny bed that could barely fit the two of you and Katsuki’s arms were around your body, a hand on the curve of your back and his other hand…
You flushed, feeling his other hand slightly move as it was cupping your butt cheek. You knew Katsuki wasn’t aware of what he was doing as he was still asleep but never having a man touch there before had made you feel uncomfortable. Yet because it was Katsuki, you wanted it to continue. It was an odd feeling, one that you knew if you let continue, curiosity would get the best of you.
“Katsuki,” you called him, voice just above a whisper.
“Wha…?” Immediately, he stirred awake. You guessed he wasn’t that deep in sleep since it usually took him forever to wake up. You watched as his crimson irises peeked between his eyelids, slowly regaining his consciousness until they shot open and the hand that was cupping your butt left. “My bad,” he grumbled, his voice scratchy as he lifted both his arms out from his cape and stretched them above his head. He yawned, and you looked in awe when you saw his fangs.
“How did you sleep?” You tried to move yourself off of him but then realize there was no space left on the bed.
“Bad. This bed’s a fucking mess,” you giggled at his words and returned your head to his chest. You enjoyed hearing the sound of his heartbeat against your ears.
“Yeah, it isn’t the most comfortable.”
“Can’t wait to get back to our cave.”
You didn’t miss what he said, and your smile widened until your cheek pressed into his chest. “Our?”
“Yeah, our cave. You coming back with me, right?” His fingers found your hair and played with it, twirling them around until they became tangled in his digits. He had to make sure to ask because even though they had seemed to mend the issues between them, he wasn’t sure if you were still harboring any feelings against going back. But Katsuki was relieved to see that eager nod from you and you had pressed your lips on his cheek for more reassurance.
“Of course.”
Though Katsuki frowned, disappointed not because of the kiss but the type you gave him. “Don’t think you can lay on top of me and just kiss me on my cheek. Give me a real one.”
“And I don’t think you deserve a real one after what you put me through. You should be thankful I’m willing to take you back,” you snapped.
“Rub salt on the wound, will ya?” He growled, rolling his eyes. His eyes then landed on the opening of your shirt, getting a glance of your breasts that was squished against his chest. Katsuki suddenly became aware at how close your body was to him and as much as he wanted to, he couldn’t suppress the heat rising within him. “Then get the hell off me. I don’t need you teasing me.”
“Teasing? How am I teasing you?” You laughed.
“Do you really need me to spell it out for you? Just get off,” you did as you were told, laughing while doing it and Katsuki sucked his teeth but what you didn’t know was that he was watching intently to see if you were going to fall while getting up. He didn’t get to you the first time you fell, and he sure wasn’t going to make it a second time. Katsuki relaxed once he saw you had no problems getting up and he noticed that you were beaming at him with a smile.
“What?” He asked snappily.
“Nothing,” you shrugged, fiddling with your fingers. “I’m just—happy.”
“Yeah well, that’s good—I guess,” Katsuki grumbled and looked away. He felt his cheeks warming up, once again reminded of your beauty. He almost couldn’t believe that last night he tried to walk away from this. He wasn’t in his right mind, he concluded. Why did he think being away from you would protect you? He needed to be by your side to protect that precious smile of yours.
You were still fiddling your fingers, too absorbed in your glee to notice the sound of footsteps coming from down the hall. Although even if you weren’t distracted, you wouldn’t have notice it as fast as Katsuki did.
“Someone’s coming,” Katsuki suddenly announced before he walked to the door and threw it open. You didn’t even have time to react when you saw that forest green hair that belong to your childhood friend nearly shielded behind Katsuki’s large frame and when a loud yelp and a thud came after, you knew you had to hurry.
Hell had revisited Izuku. He just didn’t know it would be this soon. When your door suddenly opened, and he was met with that crimson gaze of hellfire, he knew he was staring at death itself. He couldn’t stop the shriek that left him, and his legs buckled under him until he landed on his bottom all while his eyes were stuck on the beast cause of the fear he had if he were to let him out of his sight. The beast took a step closer to him and Izuku kept backing away, mouth agape, and all four limbs shaking under his weight.
“Get the hell up,” the beast growled and Izuku whimpered, flinching when he heard his lingering snarl after he spoke. “You heard what I said, right? Get up! You’re so lucky I can’t kill your pathetic ass! If it was my choice, you would’ve already been six feet under the snow!”
“Katsuki, stop! Why are you scaring him!?” You rushed out of your room, grabbing Katsuki by his arm and yanking him towards you. As soon as Izuku caught sight of you, his fear had subsided, and wide eyes of disbelief took its place.
“I’m not scaring him! I’m telling him to get up!” Katsuki yelled.
“You can say it in a nicer way!”
“____, you’re healed…?” Izuku asked, still wondering if his eyes were deceiving him. He stood up on his shaky legs and nearly stumbled towards you.
You ignored the snarl that came from Katsuki when Izuku had spoken to you. “Yes, thanks to Katsuki.”
“I can’t believe it. You were going to die. I tried everything, but nothing worked and when Ochako came, I—”
“So Round-face actually visited you? Stupid woman,” Katsuki scoffed, rolling his eyes in the process.
“She’s not stupid,” Izuku snapped. “She convinced you, didn’t she?”
Katsuki blinked at first, not sure if he heard him correctly but once his words started settling in, his eyes narrowed into slits and more wrinkles that you didn’t think was possible formed between his eyebrows and on his forehead. “What did you just say to me? She didn’t convince me to do shit! I came here on my own will. I wasn’t going to let my woman die!”
“I’m not saying you’re lying but it’s hard to believe you.”
Katsuki took a step towards him, baring his fangs and claws in his direction. “You wanna fucking say that to my face, Deku?!”
Izuku furrowed his eyebrows. Confusion written across his face. “Deku?”
“Stop fighting! Gosh! Shut up! You guys are being too loud in the morning!” Your shout had silenced the both of them. You truly had enough of the fights. You just wanted peace from now on. “I’m grateful to Katsuki. He owned up to his mistake and healed me and I’m also grateful to you, Izuku, because you took care of me the best you could. I know it must’ve been scary.”
“It was… I was afraid that you were going to leave me,” Izuku squeezed his eyes tight. The possibility that you could’ve died was causing him pain. It hurt him. You would’ve been dead if it weren’t for Katsuki and even though Izuku was relieved that you were completely healed, he was angry at himself. It hurt how useless he was to save you and that he needed to rely on a wolf to do it.
Once you saw Izuku’s grimace, you could tell that he was taking this situation to heart. As he’s been the only person you relied on since you were children, it was hard for him to realize that you didn’t need his protection anymore. You had moved on to yourself and Katsuki for protection and it made Izuku wonder if there was any room left for him in your heart.
You hugged him, your arms went under his arms and encircled his body. You leaned your head against his chest and felt his arms squeezed your form and his head moved to rest on your shoulder. He was shaking. He didn’t want to let you go. He felt as if the moment he pulls away, the more he has to come to terms with accepting your decision. As a friend, as a brother, Izuku felt lost without you, unsure if leaving you in the hands of a wolf was right for you.
“Thank you, Izuku, for everything…” he heard your mumble against him and it caused his throat to croak out intelligible words, words he wanted to say but became buried within the overwhelming amount of emotions surging within him.
Katsuki couldn’t help but glare at the sight before him. As much as his body urged him to pull you and Izuku apart, he ignored it just for you. He gritted his teeth instead, fangs in full sight and hands into fists that shook uncontrollably at his sides. His wolf ears were erect as well as all of the tiny hairs on his arms and neck. Every instinct in his body was telling him to attack him like an alarm was going off in his head, signaling that something of his was about to be taken.
“Alright, that’s enough, you guys can stop hugging now,” was a cue from Katsuki that he could no longer handle watching this. You slipped yourself out of Izuku’s hold, his hands momentarily holding onto your forearms before completely separating from you. Katsuki instantly threw an arm around your shoulders when you returned. Crimson eyes that held a predatory gaze when they stared at you turned into one of repressed anger when they glanced at Izuku. Izuku frowned.
“So… I’m guessing you’re going back then?”
You nodded and looked to Katsuki while he was busy reminding Izuku who you belonged to. “I love him. I can’t imagine my life without him. I know you don’t approve of us, but he makes me happy.”
“And that’s all I want to see, your happiness. The village declared you dead, so I guess there’s nothing back there for you.” Except for me. Izuku wanted to mention but he held his tongue.
“They did…? Even though the hunters know I’m alive?”
Katsuki scoffed. “Fucking cowards didn’t want your village to know that they failed to kill a wolf, so they lied.”
“They’ll do anything to keep their reputation intact. That’s just how hunters are and if they know that you’re alive, the next time you encounter them, they’ll do anything to make sure you’re not. Be careful out there, please,” said Izuku.
“I’ll destroy any hunter that tries to lay a finger on her,” growled Katsuki. “Those fuckers will regret that day they jumped me, I’ll make sure of it.”
Nothing was said in response to Katsuki’s bloodthirsty declare. Izuku gave him a look and before Katsuki could notice it, you changed the topic to save Izuku the trouble of having Katsuki’s rage on him. “Izuku, you can visit us anytime, okay? Katsuki will let the pack know.”
As expected, that rage you saved Izuku from was directed at you. A crimson glare that you knew all too well bore into your eyes and since you were so accustomed to being under it, you found that you grew immune to the sight. Katsuki puffed out his chest and towered over you. You merely stared at him. “Who said I wanted him near my pack?”
“I did! Besides, Izuku’s invited to the wedding.”
“The hell he ain’t!”
Izuku’s eyes widened. “Wait, y-you’re getting married?”
“Yes, and I want you to come. I can’t get married without you there.”
“I—of course I’ll come, I’m just a little surprised is all.”
“Why the hell are you guys deciding things without me?!” Katsuki growled.
You frowned. “Katsuki, you told me last night that you would accept Izuku as my friend, or were you just lying to me?”
“I-I wasn’t lying—I—!” He interrupted himself with a nasty snarl, making Izuku jump at the sound of it. He stomped back into the room you stayed in and came back out with his fur cape hanging on his arm. He threw it over your shoulders and bared his fangs at you. All you did was smile back at him. “Fine! He can visit the pack and he’s invited! Can we fucking go now?”
“Sure!” You laughed, giving a small stroke to his arm to calm him down. Katsuki sucked his teeth and yanked his arm away from you.
Izuku watched in amazement at how you handled Katsuki. He didn’t understand how was it that you weren’t afraid of him. He could crush you with one hand if he wanted to, yet you were still able to smile innocently at him like he wasn’t the one who brought you all that pain in those few days. Though, he couldn’t hide that he saw that look in your eyes. The look that one would give to someone they’re madly in love with and although he couldn’t read anything from Katsuki’s grimace, it was his action of covering you with his cape that showed Izuku that he does care about you. Perhaps he didn’t need to worry so much.
Before you left, you gave Izuku another hug which made Katsuki barked:
“How many times do you need to hug him?”
You rolled your eyes, letting Izuku go and grabbing Katsuki’s hand to lead him out the door. “Don’t you ever just shut up?”
…
You snuggled with Katsuki’s fur cape on your shoulders, tugging it until it completely engulfed your form like a blanket. Katsuki’s arm was also around your shoulders, pulling you close to protect you from the blustering icy wind. The storm wasn’t as powerful as yesterday, but it was still dangerous to walk within it. For the entire walk back to the pack, Katsuki made sure to protect you from the harsh elements of the storm. Even when it came to scale up the mountain, Katsuki urged you to climb on his back so that he could carry you. You weren’t surprised to find how incredibly easy it was for Katsuki to carry you, but it made you think just what was Katsuki’s limit. Did wolves even have a limit? It always seemed like they were bursting with unlimited energy and stamina much more than their human counterparts. They never seem to tire out as fast as humans nor display a lack in strength whenever encountering anything physical. They seemed perfect, built without any weaknesses that you could think of.
By the time you reached the pack, it was in the afternoon and you couldn’t think of single weakness and the question disappeared from your mind once the familiar sight of unnatural caves on the mountainside came into view. There was not a soul outside as you assumed most were in their caves to wait out the storm but once Katsuki put you down and you stepped into the snow, the sound of crushed ice under your shoes alerted them and a few left their caves, including a few familiar faces.
Ochako sprinted through the icy field the moment she saw you and threw her arms around you once she got close. Her teary thanks to Fenrir for your recovery was heard through the roaring sound of the wind as you were squeezed against her body. Eijirou had left his cave as well, smiling largely when he spotted you. He gave Katsuki a heavy pat on his shoulder and welcomed you back to the pack. Mitsuki was watching the scene from her cave’s balcony, a natural forming of rocks that protrude under the entrance of her cave. It was the highest cave upon the mountainside, so it was hard to miss the pack leader standing tall, blond hair dancing in the harsh wind with snow flurrying around her as if to celebrate her appearance. She made a simple smirk that reminded you of Katsuki and gave a wave before she retreated back to her cave. You would never know of the deep sigh of relief that escaped her when she was no longer in view. Probably, out of everyone, she was the most relieved about your wellbeing.
And Katsuki, a wolf with the patience of a child, already began pulling you away from Ochako. His hand grabbed yours and led you towards an entrance for one of the caves. He gave two excuses. The first one was that you were tired to which you denied, and he quickly countered it with another excuse about the storm being too dangerous for you to be in. He was right, but at the time, you didn’t understand why he was being so pushy. Ochako and Eijirou brushed it off, saying their farewells before you and Katsuki vanished into the cave.
He pulled you through the dimmed halls before going into the first room on the left as you remembered, slipping through the cloth that separated the room and the hall and suddenly being hit with nostalgia. It hasn’t been that long but being separated from Katsuki always felt like time slowed down and this situation made no difference. Katsuki’s cave was exactly how you left it. The three lit nearly melted candles on the small table near the corner. A wooden desk and chair against the wall. The excessive number of pillows in the center with a heavy sheep wool cloth over it. It was a simple layout yet seeing it had made your heart swell with happiness.
“Wow… It’s been a while since I’ve been here. Everything still looks the same.” As you recalled, the last time you’ve been in Katsuki’s cave was the morning of the marriage announcement. After that, you stayed with Ochako and then the situation with Izuku happened. Thinking back on the issue, you were so relieved that you made up with Katsuki. Perhaps since you talked it out, it would be the end of the issues in your relationship. You knew it was a pipe dream as most relationships tend to develop problems because of conflicting personalities and ideas. Although, conflict was necessary because without it, there would be no growth in relationships—no misunderstandings being mended. You didn’t know whether to feel grateful for what had happened or to promise yourself to avoid all conflict with Katsuki.
As you were deep in your thoughts, staring at particularly nothing, Katsuki’s red eyes couldn’t leave you. Seeing you in his cave was odd for him. He missed seeing you, yet it has been so long that it was rather strange having you here. But Katsuki had to remind himself that this was indeed reality, not the reality he thought of when he had turn over in bed and you weren’t there.
Your scent was filling the space the moment you had stepped in. It was alerting his senses with every intake of breath. Another reminder of that this was real. You were here, in front of him, in his presence. This wasn’t a dream nor was he in his head. You had truly returned to him.
It wasn’t the soft call of your name that had brought your attention to Katsuki but the gentle touch of his fingers grasping your wrist and pulling you softly around to face him. Before you knew it, you were staring up into two burning suns, but it wasn’t the fiery, intense gaze you’ve come to know but a gaze as soft as a sunset, hanging just above the horizon of a sea. Its crimson hue surrounded by an orange ring that revealed the perfect circular shape of the sun—A sight so soft that it permitted your eyes to gaze at it without the fear of being hurt the longer you looked at it.
The back of Katsuki’s hand touched your face, his knuckles brushed above your cheek. He marveled at the beauty before him. How he was able to claim you as his was beyond him. A woman that was too good for him, too beautiful for him, too reasonable, too smart, it baffled him that you wanted to be by his side. From the moment he first saw you, something pulled him towards you and he hasn’t been able to let go since.
He leaned forward. His kiss was short and light, like he was testing the waters. He looked at your eyes, cheeks, and lips for any indication of rejection. And when he saw none, he dived back in, hungry this time as his carnal desire took over his movements. His hands scoured your body from your waist and back to your hips and thighs. A low growl in response to your whimpers as you struggled to keep up with his lips. He was a dominating force of a man and you doubt it had something to do with him being a wolf. Still, you tried your best to keep up. Both of your hands were holding his head, fingers half sunken in his frizzy hair, lips eagerly parting to invite his tongue in and of course, he accepted the invitation.
Your breaths tangled with one another. Your saliva mixed together before it spilled from the corner of your mouth from the aggressive dance of tongues. Katsuki was pushing on you, causing you to lean back. He lifted you up. His hand grasped both of your thighs, splitting your legs and wrapping them around his hips. Your arms went on his shoulders and your hands found the back of his head to thread your fingers back within his hair. Feeling your nails press his scalp was driving him mad.
He carried you and after he kicked away the chair with his foot, he had placed you down on the desk and settled himself between your legs. Your skirt became bunched up to your waist and it exposed your nude legs. Oddly enough, you weren’t shy about having them revealed to him. The chair had made a loud thump when it hit the floor but neither of you cared. The only thing that mattered was the feel of lips and hearts swelling to burst from passion. The melody of saliva squishing was joined with the gasps and sighs as the tangled moist muscles battled within their fleshy caves. At times, you even found yourself dangerously caressing his fangs with your tongue, just an accident away from cutting yourself. How thrilling.
Katsuki’s large hand were stroking your thigh in a circular motion. You went to grab his upper arm, feeling out his toned biceps, chiseled, like it was carved by the gods. It was at that moment when it occurred to you that Katsuki was shirtless. You haven’t had a clue when he had taken it off, but it must’ve been during the interval when he had set you down on the desk. You didn’t think much of it either, not at the extent of Katsuki’s intentions anyway. You were too taken by his lips to notice he was growing rather aggressive. His growls were soft and occurred with every exhale that he mentally cursed because it was the only thing keeping him from your lips. You too were growing breathless as you felt a dull pain develop within your lungs and with all the energy and passion fueling your heartbeat, you had no choice but to pull away for air.
Red. It was what you saw when you looked into his irises. A familiar hue that reminded you of the heat of summer. A heat not too far from the one rising within you. It was craving for something, you didn’t know what yet, but it was similar to the hungry look in his eyes like a beast watching his prey before he devours it. He waited patiently for his lungs to fill with needed air and when he leaned forward, you expected the return of his lips but instead, his arms went around your body and pulled you tight against him.
No words were exchanged between the two of you. Katsuki’s hug communicated as much as he wanted to say, to hold you and to never let you go, to welcome you back into his life, and to welcome him in yours.
While being in his arms, a single thought crossed your mind. You smiled and nuzzled your face into his shoulder.
Finally, I am home.

XI: The Human Calling the Wolf Beast
Staring at the cavernous hole between his legs was a reminder for Izuku how old and raggedy the outhouse was. Tall wooden walls closed around him. They were rotting with age as a green substance took over the wood’s natural gray color. Izuku had questioned how this place was still standing with the amount of snow storms they had over the months and even the spiders cuddled within their webs in the upper corners of the outhouse had deemed this place safe against the outside forces. The urge to sleep was still upon him that he had not yet realized he had emptied his bladder. He stayed staring into the abyss under him, the sights beyond it shrouded in darkness, he would not know of the amount of defecation huddled at the bottom, nor in this state, did he care.
With a quick shake of his cock in his hands, he stuffed it under the rims of his pants, lifting the waistline until it hugged just under his waist. He exited the outhouse, its door creaking loudly as soon as it was touched, and he kneeled in front of a pile of snow and began to lather his hands in it. It was something his mother taught him whenever there wasn’t any water around to wash his hands. He knew most men would’ve carried on without their hands ever touching water after using the bathroom, and he wanted to believe he wasn’t like most men as what his mother would’ve said. You’re not like most men, Izuku. He heard from time to time again usually whenever he helped her with cooking or cleaning, it wasn’t said as an insult but rather a delightful compliment, pleased at her son for what he has grown up to be.
He wondered what she was doing now. He left her without a word but left a note by the kitchen table under the constraints of a fork. Perhaps, she would read it and leave searching for him or would trust his judgement, ultimately trusting him. Whichever the case, Izuku knew his mother tended to be as soft as him (it was where he got it from), but he believed hidden behind that softness was uncontained determination and once she worked towards a goal, it would be completed with failures and all.
He had a similar outlook. His goal was to find you and so he did, but now he questioned what would come after. Would you still be able to come back to the village despite them declaring you dead?
Izuku sighed inaudibly as the snow crunched under his boots before he reached the backdoor of the cabin. He kicked his boots against the wooden floors, the snow falling from his hooves and left behind at the door. Unfortunately, the cabin didn’t have any lanterns on the walls of its hallway, so the trail of darkness continued to pour through the cabin. Izuku had thought ahead and the tray of a candle he left at the floor was picked up and relit by a match. He walked down the hall, past the kitchen while the floorboards creaked under his weight and in between the bathing room and the kitchen was his room, its door was left ajar. Right across his room was your room and before he could retire for the night, he heard faint sounds coming from behind your door.
At first, he hesitated. He wasn’t sure about a man going into a woman’s room in the late of night. Yes, he grew up with you and there were plenty of days where he slept in your room as a child and vice versa but now as adults, as sexuality buds, even being in close proximity of a person’s room of the opposite sex was a little nerve-wracking.
He was about to abandon the idea to check up on you, already grasping his doorknob and pushing his door open until:
“H-Help…!” A terrible shriek had come.
It wasn’t a second longer until Izuku threw your door open. He expected the worst, like a robber had snuck in while he was using the bathroom or perhaps that wolf from hell was back to torment you and him again. But instead, he stumbled upon you on your bed, tousled limbs in the air as if you were possessed. You were shrieking, tears drowning your face, and dripping onto the mattress as well as your blood that was oddly seeping through the bandages.
He called your name in distress, placing the candle down on a table before grabbing you up by your arms. You started fighting his hold, thrashing your arms to where it nearly hit him in the face. “Wake up! It’s a dream!” He sounded desperate, afraid that if he used any more of his strength that he would hurt you in the process.
“Katsuki…!” You began calling for the wolf from hell and Izuku’s heart sank. How could you still think of him in a positive light when he put you in this position? When he hurt you? He gulped, putting those thoughts behind him when your eyes had shot open. He assumed the fighting would stop, but your eyes being open wasn’t a signifier that you were awake. The screaming remained, the fighting remained, and the calling of a certain wolf’s name remained.
Izuku was suddenly reminded of a moment in time where you had woken up from a fright. Around the age of 5, you woke up crying, reaching out to a startled small Izuku besides you. You were aware you were awake, but you cried for your mother instead, even though she was already dead by that time. Young Izuku, as chivalrous as he was during that age, started to shush you, pulling you into a hug and rubbing your back as you sobbed into his chest. It worked as a spell, quieting you down to whimpers as soft as Izuku’s whispers. “It’s okay, ____... I’m here. I’m right next to you…”
So, he held you close to his chest despite your thrashing and his hand held the back of your head, your hair fell between his fingers, and his lips softly pressed against your temple. He brought his other hand over your back, large fingers treading over your shoulders.
“Shh… I’m right here. I’m here…” His breath bounced against your heated forehead when he spoke, his voice smooth like pudding as he pressed his lips to your head again. And just like long ago, you settled down in his arms, returning his hug weakly, your fingers clutched at his back until his shirt crinkled in your grip.
No matter who you called for, as long as Izuku was there, he would embrace you until all was well again.
…
You have never seen the sky so blue before as it hovered over your body, infinite vastness of sapphire stretched past the horizon, beyond the mountains and hills below. The wind swooshed below you, whipping through your hair as it wildly hit your cheeks. It tangled within the air above you, moved by the force from below. Your stomach felt like it was floating in your body, weightless as it twisted and churned the feathery feeling that danced around in your midsection.
How long has it been since you were falling? You couldn’t recall, but it felt like eons since you were on the ground.
…
Izuku was up tending your wound for hours. Before he knew it, the sun had risen into skies covered with thick clouds and heavy snowflakes plummeted to the ground. The chattering of the doors and windows were a reminder of how strong this storm had grown overnight. The cabin could no longer keep the cold out as it was seeping through the tiny cracks between the walls. Already, Izuku could feel you shivering yet he did not know whether it was from the cold or the fever that developed overnight. He knew your wound was quite grave, but he didn’t know it would’ve resulted in a fever. The odd part for him was that no matter how much pressure he added or how tight he wrapped the bandages; your wound wouldn’t stop bleeding. At this rate, you would die from blood loss in just a few hours.
Izuku’s panic urged him to move swiftly, wrapping clean bandages for the umpteenth time around your arm. He was already running out of stock and soon decided it was time to go out to the nearest town to buy some more bandages, ointments, and hopefully stitches.
“I won’t be gone for long,” he whispered, bringing a hand to briefly brush your bangs off your forehead. It was devastating how some strands stuck to your skin because of your sweat. Your skin lacked your usual vibrant color and was left with a pale variant of it. The skin under your eyes were darkened, leaving a sickly appearance if one were to gaze at you. At times, you would wake up, spewing incoherent mumbles before falling back to sleep. It was like your body was desperately trying to conserve all of your energy to heal you, so you couldn’t stay awake for more than a few minutes.
Just as you grew sicker by the hour, Izuku’s hatred for Katsuki grew to new heights. He began cursing the wolf for what he has done to you. As much as he blamed Katsuki, he blamed himself for the lack of courage he had to save you from him. He should’ve been more protective of you when he started to notice your obsession with wolves. Maybe he could’ve convinced you not to pursue your curiosity and you being deemed dead by the village wouldn’t have happened. Regretting the past did nothing to the results of the present. And so, he would have to live with his guilt until you somehow recovered from this.
Izuku soon left you, throwing on his heavy coat stuffed to the brim with cotton and lined with sheep wool. He slipped on his boots that he left near the door of your room and grabbed a small pouch packed with his money off the table. He quickly made his way to the front of the cabin. Already, he could hear the whistling of the harsh wind outside blowing through the trees and against the cabin, but he wouldn’t let that stop him. His mind was already set on going, he risked his life once for you and he wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.
The cabin door was thrown open by the force of the wind once Izuku had unlocked it. The snow began assaulting the wooden floors, piling on top of itself until it created tiny hills. Izuku panicked at the amount of snow that was already in the cabin and he threw himself outside to try to get the door to close.
But he didn’t get far as he was stopped by a figure that was standing just a bit from the cabin. Not even the snow pelting the ground or the fog lingering in the area was prominent enough to hide the beauty of the woman standing in front of him. Her skin was as pale as the snow around her while her cheeks were the opposite and tinted with bright pink. Her lips were small, her nose was small, but her eyes were large, bright, and rich in brown and her eyelashes worked as curtains for them. Her hair was in a bob that curled at the ends against her cheeks and the color of her hair reminded him of almonds. His favorite snack.
“What are you doing out here? It’s dangerous!” He tried to yell over the howl of the wind, but it was impossible. The storm was too powerful. So, he grabbed the woman by her shoulders and ushered her inside the cabin and with all his might, he pulled the door against the wind and locked it shut, letting out a heavy sigh of relief when he leaned his forehead against it. He felt it was vibrating softly, just another reminder at how brutal the storm was. He thought this woman was crazy for being out there, but he assumed the worst. Maybe she needed help or didn’t have shelter from the storm. He was about to question her, but she spoke first.
“You’re Izuku, right?”
“H-How…?” His words faltered when he turned around to face the woman and spotted almond colored wolf ears sitting on top of her head. He blinked at them for a moment, questioning their appearance as they weren’t there when he first spotted her. He almost shrieked at the sight of them, but he held his composure, breathing deeply before he narrowed his eyes at her. There could only be one reason why a wolf would suddenly show up at this cabin.
“What do you want? You couldn’t possibly be here to see her.”
“What makes you think I’m not?” She wasn’t surprised at his hostility. He was human after all. “I wanted to see if she was still alive…”
Why do you care? Was what he wanted to say but he held his tongue for reasons struck by fear. She wasn’t as threatening as Katsuki, but she was still a wolf. “Of course, she is. But she’s hurt… I’m sure you know how. You were probably there.”
“Yes, I was.”
“I’m sorry, but I was going to go out and buy some medicine for her. So, if you would—”
“It won’t work.”
“What?”
“She won’t be healed by that.”
“What do you mean…?” Izuku hated the look on her face. How her brows knitted together and formed the creases between her eyes. It didn’t match with her beauty. She looked up at him like she was begging for him to hear her out. He found himself complying, no longer able to stand her expression. With a nod, he led her to your room and he couldn’t forget the look in her eyes when she saw you. The color of your skin spoke of your lifespan. At best, a day was all you had left.
“This is horrible…” Izuku heard her mumble as she squeezed her hands into fists. She couldn’t believe the drastic change of your appearance. Just a couple of days ago you were vibrant and gushing about Katsuki to her. Even though you were upset at him, she still saw the love blossomed in your eyes whenever you spoke of him. You always found a reason to talk about him even if it was just a rant. And the moments where you would suddenly daze off, she had no doubt in her mind that it was Katsuki filling your thoughts.
“How did you find us anyway?”
“Her blood. I followed the scent of her blood.”
“Ah—O-Okay,” Izuku scratched the side of his head. It wasn’t that he was confused but more taken aback by her response. It wasn’t everyday where you hear of someone tracking by the scent of blood. Wolves were truly different when compared to humans. “So… would you mind explaining what you meant before? Why wouldn’t medicine work for her?”
She sighed heavily, turning her large brown eyes on Izuku. “Katsuki—I’m sure you know—the wolf from yesterday? He—He’s special. He’s not like the rest of us. He’s the direct descendant of our ancestor and next in line as pack leader. Because of that, Katsuki inherited abilities from him. We call it ‘The Curse of Fenrir’.”
“The Curse of Fenrir…?” It sounded terrifying to Izuku, but it grew his curiosity.
“Yes, sometimes we just call it ‘The Curse’ but if a human gets hurt by Katsuki, any damage inflicted by his claws or fangs would never heal.”
“Never heal…?”
“At least not with medicine or on its own. Katsuki himself would have to heal the wound by cleaning it.”
“So, the only way for ____ to be healed is if that wolf does it.”
Ochako nodded, “I tried to convince Katsuki to do it but… he’s still upset about what happened.”
“She’s going to die any day now and he won’t heal her? I-I have to go convince him… I—” Izuku began gathering his things and before he could trudge past Ochako, she grabbed his arm and stopped him.
“I have no doubt if Katsuki sees you, he’ll kill you. Right now, you should stay by her side. I’ll try and talk to him again—"
“I can’t just sit here and watch her die. I have to at least do something!”
“I’m not asking you to. Katsuki,” she tried to find the words with a brief bite of her lips. “Katsuki cares about her. He wouldn’t let her die. I know he wouldn’t.”
“This is the same wolf who did this to her. I refuse to believe I have to only rely on such a b-beast to save my friend.”
It was odd. Ochako the other day was calling Katsuki the same thing yet hearing it from Izuku had lit a small flame of anger within her. It didn’t feel like it was only towards Katsuki but towards her kind as a whole.
“Beast? You hardly know him, or us, matter of fact,” she spoke with a growl in her voice.
“After what he did, how can he be anything other than that?”
“You sound as if humans never acted irrational before. For all the havoc you guys cause, from destroying lands, nature, and my people, why aren’t you considering yourselves beasts?”
Izuku’s silence spoke volumes. He stared back at Ochako, stunned by her words.
“That’s because you humans only ever look at yourselves and never consider the differences around you. We may be ‘beasts’ but that doesn’t mean we don’t have emotions like humans. We live just like you, eat just like you, we have family like you. Katsuki getting angry for seeing a woman he likes in the arms of another man doesn’t make him a beast because I’m sure you humans would’ve reacted the same way.”
“I was only speaking of him.”
“Speaking of him is speaking of all of us.”
Izuku frowned. The anger in his eyes falter significantly and what was left was pure guilt about his words. “I’m-I’m sorry. I didn’t mean—"
“It’s okay,” she sighed. “I’m just... tired of this divide. We’re practically cousins by species but it seems like we’ll never get along.”
“Maybe a lot of forgiveness and forgetfulness would do the trick?” Izuku shrugged his shoulders with a smile all too pure that it evaporated any anger she previously felt towards him. She had never seen a smile so kind, at least, from a human (other than you) that was directed at her.
“Probably, we’ll need a lot of it, for sure,” she laughed.
…
Katsuki had enough. It was easier to say that he could forget about you after your ‘betrayal’ but he found himself wondering about your wellbeing more than he would’ve liked. No woman had ever had this effect on him before. He was always able to forget about them. But for you, he couldn’t help but feel attached to you. Even as he laid on the sheep wool bedding, turning around he half expected to see you asleep by his side. But when he saw nothing but the cave’s walls ahead, he knew he could no longer handle being away from you.
Katsuki knew of his abilities and he knew when he had slashed you, it was possible that it would’ve been the last time he saw you alive. His stubbornness kept him from chasing after you. In fact, he was afraid to admit that at that time, he believed you were better off dead than in the arms of another man. It scared him greatly at how attached he felt to you that he would rather wish for your death than for you to be away from him.
But he came to realize at that moment when Ochako stormed out of his cave in tears after his threats and the air of his cave was reduced of your scent the longer you were absent from it, he questioned if this was truly how he wanted to live. A life without you seemed impossible when you were with him and now it could very much be his reality.
…
“I’ll try to convince Katsuki. I know he won’t let her die.”
Izuku was seeing Ochako to the door. His eyebrows furrowed at the sound of the raging wind outside. The door was chattering at the force of it. “Are you sure you’ll be okay traveling in this storm?”
“Yeah, of course,” she chuckled softly. “I’m a wolf, remember?”
It didn’t matter what she was, Izuku was still worried. He leaned against the wall and buried his hands within his pants pockets. “I know, still, be careful out there, Ochako.”
Ochako smiled. She never had someone so concerned about her wellbeing before especially not a human. All they did was run at the sight of her or try to kill her but to have one worry about her even after knowing her capabilities as a wolf was a refreshing feeling. “I will be.”
Izuku gave her a small smile before she left into the blistering weather and faded into the fog. It was a hassle closing the door but Izuku managed with his strength and locked it before he retired back to your room.
…
As the night started settling into the day, the storm had reached its peak. The winds were blowing at high speeds capable of knocking anyone off their feet. Fog and snow obscure all sight as no one could barely see a few inches in front of them. Walking outside was a death sentence for any human.
But not for wolves.
Katsuki hiked through the forest as if he weren’t phased by the forces of nature. The winds may be slowing down his speed, but the fog and snow only slightly obscured his vision. Even his sense of smell was still functioning normally as he followed the scent of blood that was being carried with the wind. It was sweet and awfully familiar, and it made his mouth water with desire. Katsuki knew exactly who it belong to.
He followed the scent until it led him to a cabin that was slowly being buried by the snow. A quarter of the front door was already submerged in it, but it didn’t stop Katsuki from figuring out another way in. He followed where the scent of blood was most prominent to the side of the cabin and there was a window in which he effortlessly lifted open and climb inside.
His crimson eyes had zeroed in on nothing in the room but the person lying in bed, pale and nearly lifeless. That person was you. He refused to believe that’s what you’ve become because of him. You were a person so vibrant and beautiful that it could nearly make Katsuki cry at the sight of your presence and now you lacked the light that made you shine—that made Katsuki love you.
He walked to you. The wooden flooring creaked under his weight with his slow steps. Even as he tried to walk without making a sound, being gentle was just one thing Katsuki couldn’t do correctly. He regretted the moment he got closer to you because he saw the discoloring around your eyes and the cold sweat damping your pale skin. You were lying on your back without any covers and the wound on your arm that was wrapped in bandages were being soaked with your blood. The sweet smell lingered around the room no doubt making Katsuki’s mouth water, but he was too deep in his sorrow to act on his urges.
What kind of lover was he to hurt you like this? To make you suffer until you were tethering in and out of the underworld? He yearned to see your smile again, your smile that made his heart flutter in ways it had never before, to look at him with your bright eyes that embodied the feeling of love only for him, to have you in his arms again, so small and fragile yet fit perfectly within them. And the sound of your voice when you would call his name had him wishing he could listen to it on repeat.
Katsuki’s hands formed into fists, his claws dug into his palms so hard that it punctured his skin and his blood slipped between his clenched fingers and fell upon the floor. He fucked up. He fucked up so bad that he couldn’t see how he deserved to stay with you. You didn’t deserve someone like him. Someone who would hurt his lover because he couldn’t control his anger. How could he possibly protect you if he couldn’t protect you from himself?
A low growl had sounded from him and already the wound on his hands had healed up on their own. Katsuki sat on your bed and grabbed your injured arm. He unwrapped the bandages and revealed the gash that showed no signs of healing. He grimaced at it, not because of its grotesque appearance but because he was the one who had caused it.
He didn’t hesitate to drag his tongue on your wound, gasping and growling at the delicious taste that had his saliva spilling from his lips. But he couldn’t enjoy it like the last time he had taste your blood. He moved desperately, diligently with a goal to cure you of this curse.
You, on the other hand, had stirred in your long slumber with your eyebrows furrowed and teeth biting lips. Your pale complexion became flush in color, panting and mewling at the feeling of Katsuki’s tongue against you. He couldn’t tell if you were in pain or pleasure, but he couldn’t stop the fuzzy feeling building within his loins. You moaned softly, breathlessly and Katsuki glanced at your face with his glowing red eyes as he licked and licked until his face was drenched in your blood.
“K-Katsuki… aahn…” Katsuki could see it. He could see the soft rolling of your hips. It was not pain you were feeling. It was far from it.
Yet he continued to lick, ignoring the desire rumbling within him. After how badly he treated you, you still thought of him as a lover. He was still someone you thought of the moment you felt pleasure and that stirred something within him that he couldn’t quite name.
He growled softly, nearly losing himself in your moans. He cleaned your wound until there was nothing but three discolored scars left. He made sure it was clean of all your blood. He wasn’t going to leave one drop of it on your skin. And when he was done, he pulled away and found you panting, flushed, and mumbling his name deliriously in your slumber. He soaked in your appearance knowing that this was going to be the last time he’ll ever see it. He decided back at his cave that he was going to heal you and then leave you. It was the best form of action he had to take for your sake. You weren’t safe with him.
Though it was a struggle for him to leave you. Your complexion was returning to normal and your breathing was finally in control. You were already starting to look like yourself again. Even the feel of your skin underneath his palm when he had reached out to caress your cheek was reaching normal temperatures. Katsuki whispered your name. It sounded so soft that it could break before it reached anyone’s ears, but it was also weighed with guilt, love, and hesitation. For once in his life, he was unsure. Can he actually live without you?
“I’m sorry…” He grunted out when he had hovered over you and pushed his forehead against yours, noses touching and lips barely brushing against each other. He repeated those words until he was satisfied as his face contorted into one of pain with knitted eyebrows and gritted teeth. He ripped himself off of you with a growl and still he was unsure. But hesitation didn’t stop him from turning his back on you. He was leaving. He had to.
Katsuki dragged himself to the window and he rewarded himself with one final glance at your sleeping form to burn you in his memory.
But what he didn’t expect to see was you staring right back at him with those beautiful half-lidded eyes that he ached to see.
“Shit.”

Series Warning: Fantasy AU, Fluff, NSFW
(Chapter X/??) All chapters in AO3 and masterlist
You guys might hate me for this chapter. Katsuki’s a very possessive individual in this story. It’s to show that Katsuki is not the perfect wolf boy who would cast you away and you guys would live in perfect harmony in his pack. Nah, he got issues too. He can’t handle the possibility of you being with, let alone seeing you with another man. The day you became his, you were his and not only that but he’s stubborn so bear with him.
Warning: A bit of a trigger warning for sexual violence at the last section of the chapter.

X: The Wolf’s ire
Hell was a place that Izuku never dreamed of going to dead, let alone alive and as he stared into the flaming depths of irises, unable to look away because fear had frozen him, he found himself cowering back, stumbling like his legs had betrayed him. It was worse than summer’s humid embrace. It was an inferno that ravaged his body and made it possible for him to sweat in the low temperatures of the mountains.
He knew who resided in Hell. His mother, who was religious when she needed to be, told him stories of the creature who lived there whenever she had to discourage him from doing something inappropriate. Those stories were often told to children when their mothers wanted to instill fear in them. As Izuku grew older with ideas of his own, those stories were nothing more than myths, but he would have never thought he would encounter a beast with such striking resemblance.
“I said,” The beast started and Izuku flinched. He suddenly felt like he was a child again. “Who the fuck are you!” It was no longer a question. He was demanding an answer, but Izuku was still frozen like a deer staring at an arrow pulled in its direction. His voice reached an all-time low, making the hairs on Izuku’s skin (and possibly everyone around him) stand. He progressively grew louder, unable to contain his anger. “Who do you think you are, touching my woman like that—I should fucking kill you where you stand!”
Katsuki was dangerously close to Izuku. Even though Izuku created some distance between them, Katsuki had closed it, grabbing a fist full of his shirt’s collar, and nearly lifting him until his shoes were barely touching the snow. Katsuki’s other hand was threateningly close to his face, but it wasn’t formed as a fist like a human would do, it was his dark nails that exceedingly grew into shape that dared to do some damage. And Izuku wouldn’t doubt that his fangs (that was also growing) would add to his arsenal of weapons.
“Katsuki! What are you doing! Put him down!” Your voice was all but a muffle to Katsuki. Even when you tried to force your body between them, your hands grasped the arm that belong to the hand that held Izuku, but Katsuki was too driven by rage to realize your presence. He started to shake Izuku, attempting to get a word out of him and in turn shaking you too. But Izuku knew once he said anything, it would be the end of him, in defense or even in apology, Katsuki just needed a reason to slash his face. “It isn’t anything that you are thinking!”
“You have some balls, human, coming to my pack, holding my woman—you’re asking to die, you wanna die, RIGHT! SAY SOMETHING!” With more shaking came Izuku’s whimpers with tears gathered in his eyes, he didn’t know if it was coming from fear or the limited amount of oxygen entering his lungs because of the hold Katsuki had on him.
“Listen to me!” You tried to shake Katsuki, but you came to realize just how much powerful he was. He didn’t even budge at your attempt.
You have never seen this side of Katsuki before and you weren’t fond of it. This was beyond jealousy, it was out of control wrath fueled by the past incidents and seeing you in the arms of another man had tipped him over. Regardless, this behavior was unacceptable to you. Izuku was your childhood friend, practically your brother, you couldn’t stand seeing him so distressed—you wouldn’t stand for it.
You had finally gotten Katsuki’s attention, but it took the gasps of the wolves around you, the sound of skin meeting skin, the burning pain that suddenly surrounded your palm, and the red that revealed itself upon Katsuki’s cheek. The silence after was deafening as he froze for a moment in disbelief, it was until the breeze had blew through the mountains that made him aware of the tender skin that became of his cheek. He had dropped Izuku, who had fell to the ground on his bottom, coughing incessantly as he gathered the needed air in his lungs, and Katsuki’s rage was directed at you.
He didn’t make any moves to grab you. He wouldn’t dare to. But you knew if looks could kill, you would’ve already been six feet under.
“I nearly gave my life for you and this is what I get?” He gestured to his reddened cheek, swift was his words with an edge that put knifes to shame.
“Nearly…?” You couldn’t hold your laugh that came after. “I was the one who gave up my life for you! Maybe if you had listened to me, you wouldn’t have gotten slapped!”
“You have NO right to touch me!” In your peripherals, you saw Mitsuki move. She extended an arm between you and Katsuki and then wrapped it around her son to keep him from making any mistakes he would later regret. You knew he wasn’t going to touch you, but how livid he was made you second guess your safety and Mitsuki must’ve sensed it as well. She whispered something in his ear to calm him down or make him aware of the eyes around him but talking to Katsuki like this was like talking to a bee. Once he lost control of his anger, nothing could convince him not to sting you.
“And what makes you think you have any right to touch my friend!”
“When he decided to hold you like you were HIS!” Katsuki couldn’t get the image out of his head. Pushing through the crowds in search of you, worried that you might have ran into trouble only to find you in the arms of a strange man was not what he wanted to add to his list of stress. What drove him to see red was when Izuku’s hands cupped your cheeks and he saw his thumb caress your skin. He was too livid to notice that he was wiping your tears, either way, he didn’t care. He just wanted him off his woman.
“You’re overreacting! Come on – get up…” Your last set of words were directed at Izuku who was still recovering from the numbness in his body. He stood up on his shaky legs, eyes still glued on Katsuki in fear that he would get grabbed again. A measly arm around him wouldn’t stop him from pouncing on Izuku. He could tell by the look of his eyes that the only thing stopping him from doing so was you.
Mitsuki was still trying to talk some sense into him but she was actively failing. Katsuki didn’t acknowledge her presence, and it was apparent when you began pulling Izuku in the direction that led off the mountain. Mitsuki’s arm was pushed out of the way by Katsuki’s body trudging forward to seize your arm, his claws digging into your skin but not too much to where it could break through.
“Where are you going?!” That snarl held every sense of animosity.
“Away from you, because clearly, I made a mistake! If I had known you were going to act like this, then--then I would have never come here!” You pulled your arm out of his grip and grabbed Izuku by the arm and pulled him down the path leading off the mountain. The decline of the path covered with soft snow didn’t make it any easier to rush away from Katsuki, you found yourself slipping a multitude of times until Izuku had to force you to stop before you fell to the ground. Pausing for a moment, you realized how fast your heart was moving, nearly unable to catch your breath to the point where it hurt. You didn’t realize the possible severity of your actions and you were so incensed that at that point you didn’t care what could conceivably befall you after.
“____...” You heard Izuku call you from behind. His voice soaked with unease and weighed with fright as he tugged on your arm softly. The action made you aware of the stinging sensation that spread to your arm all the way until you felt it reach your elbow. You noticed the snow between you and Izuku was stained red and your eyes landed on your arm where its skin was split into three gashes. Your blood was bubbling from your wounds and spilling onto the pure icy pathway under you.
“It’s fine. I’m fine,” you spoke quickly and breathlessly, pulling your injured arm close to your body.
…
You winced at the burning pain of a cloth being pressed against the wound on your arm. You could smell the sour scent of alcohol fuming from its fabrics as it was dabbed repeatedly to disinfect it. Izuku had murmured a small apology when he saw your furrowed brows in response to the pain and he continued to clean it until most of the blood was gone. It wasn’t long since you stormed away from the pack with Izuku. It was about a few hours before you were out of the mountains and Izuku had brought you to a small abandoned cabin within the forest. He said he stayed there when he was searching for you.
The cabin had two rooms, a kitchen, a bathing room, and outside was an outhouse. Currently, you two were in a room you claimed as yours, sitting upon a small bed that could barely fit two people. The mattress was incredibly thin to where you could feel the skeleton of the springs poking into your backside, along with the pillows being completely flattened and lacking in it’s supposed plushy shape. The room itself wasn’t the most glamorous. With wooden floors and walls and a tiny table holding a melted candle on top of a tray next to the window, there was nothing you were impressed by except for the fact that this cabin seemed to hold well against the brutal cold winter had to offer.
Izuku was quiet for the entire time since you settled in the cabin, but you knew by the way he bit his lip that he was holding back on speaking. He probably had so many questions, you knew you would’ve if your best friend went missing for weeks and found them living with a pack of wolves. The room was nearly silent, filled with the quiet hisses you would make whenever the cloth would touch your ruptured skin. You couldn’t miss the sound of the gulps he made whenever he stopped to stare at the gashes. You must’ve wondered what was going through his head at the sight of it. It was a rather grotesque splitting of skin, revealing the red flesh in between with chunks of meat barely holding on and near the corners of the gashes, your skin was starting to peel into itself. The third time he stopped to stare was when he spoke.
“W-Who was that wolf?” He stuttered out, pausing to question himself whether he should say his next words. He said them anyway. “Y-Your lover…?”
“It’s complicated…” you sighed. You weren’t sure how to label Katsuki, especially after what happened.
“But he hurt you,” he stated the obvious, glancing up to meet your eyes.
“It was by mistake. You saw him at his worst anyway.”
“____... That was terrifying. I’ve never been so afraid before in my life. I seriously thought I was going to die, and all because I hugged you?” Izuku shook his head, letting out a sigh when he tossed the cloth on the bed and picked up the bandages. He was trying to rid of the fear that latched on to him from recalling that memory. The hair on his arms were erect just by the thought of his blood colored eyes glaring into his own.
The shaking of Izuku’s hands were evident when he began to wrap the bandages around your wound. He couldn’t hide how traumatized he was. So, for him (and maybe for yourself), you changed the subject. “How did you find me?”
“It wasn’t easy. Most of it was just by hunch but I knew I would have to prepare myself to visit the wolves to confirm if you were alive.”
Everyone in your village knew that going into the mountains were a literal death sentence. As small children, the adults warned of the wolf packs that resided within them and as teenagers, the youth would dare each other to travel up there, only to disappear or to return with a face disfigured by the slashes that tore their skin. The mountains are no place for humans. A brusque voice belonging to a man who you remembered was dragging another lifeless body out of the forest, his face no longer recognizable but his clothes identified him as a boy you’ve seen around your village. The wolves never ate trespassers but rather mangled them in warning to all who consider the idea of it.
Such a thought had you wondering if you weren’t here to save him, would he had fallen to the same fate as the boy from your village?
“That was foolish… What if I wasn’t there? You wouldn’t have faced any mercy against them.”
“It was a chance I had to take,” he abruptly said, pulling his hands away when he sealed your bandages with a knot. He found your eyes were on them, sorrow shaking your irises, tears reluctant to fall, clamping on to the last bit of strength escaping at the sight of it. The bandages were already staining red as they soaked in your blood and a murmur from Izuku about stitching the wound fell deaf to your ears. “The bandages should stop the bleeding soon, I wrapped it tight enough, but we probably would have to stitch it.” No response left him worried, but he didn’t know that a sob would’ve force its way out if you had spoken.
“Maybe you need some rest,” he took note of your only reaction being a bite to your lip and he stood up, giving a caress to your forehead before leaving you with a departing smile. “Call me if you need anything, I’m right next door.”
The door had shut behind him and as if on cue, you hunched over your lap, gripping your bandaged arm until you felt your palm grow moist with your blood.
…
Night had fallen upon the lands and the stars twinkled innocently above, served as a canvas for the half-moon that laid supine against it. A soothing atmosphere was a sign for a storm coming and the wolves were steadily preparing for it by carrying the outside furniture indoors by the order of Mitsuki. Although, they were quite oblivious of the very storm that brewed within their mountains. The ground was trembling under Katsuki’s feet as he circled around in his cave, unable to stay still with his rage. He held his hands into a fist, so clenched that veins from his knuckles to the upper part of his arms were apparent. The anger had reddened his usually fair skin and he found himself kicking a wooden chair to the floor in one of his strides.
Ochako had walked into his cave unannounced to the sight of him releasing his rage on a chair, that particular action aroused a series of words from him, too much involved in his head to notice her presence. When her voice came, he wasn’t nonplussed at the sound but rather, furious that it didn’t belong to you. He didn’t want any other woman in his cave defiling your lingering scent.
“Katsuki, I beg of you,” she started, and he was already growling, “go find her.”
“She chose to be with that bastard… It was obvious she didn’t want me.”
“This is no time for self-pitying,” she approached with caution, stopping just arm length away from him. He remained stagnant with his back towards her, his gaze melting into the wooden legs of the upturned chair. “She’s hurt because of you... and by you.”
She was relentless in her words, solemn capturing the intonation of her vocals. “You know what that means, don’t you? She’ll bleed to death without you.”
“Then maybe she shouldn’t have left me,” he hissed.
“Have you no sense in that giant head of yours? She will die - what isn’t in those words that wouldn’t make you go after her?”
“I think you forgotten your place if you’re talking to me like that. I know you’re that stupid, but I don’t need you yammering in my ear about my decisions. She fucking made her choice and if that leads to her death then so be it.”
The words coming out of Katsuki wasn’t believable to her, it lacked the usual softness when he spoke of you, indifference was the least expected emotion to hear from him. Her disbelief led her to walk around to face him, wondering if those words had matched his expression. How grave it felt when those red eyes that laid upon her embodied the soul of wrath.
“You’re insufferable. It’s no wonder she left. Who would want to be with someone as arrogant and cruel as you. You don’t even care that she would bleed to death, her last memory of you being a beast!”
“Ochako, get out of my face.”
“She loves you, you idiot! The only thing she talked about with me was you! Asking me questions about you, asking me whether she should make up with you. All she thought about was you! All she wanted was you! But as usual, you’re always ruining things that were good for you all because you’re too stubborn to listen to reason!”
“Then why did she leave me, huh?! If that’s true, then why the fuck isn’t she by my side right now?!”
“What do you think? It’s because you don’t listen.”
He growled darkly, turning to storm off but Ochako grabbed his arm and he tore it out of her hold, spitting out, “don’t touch me!” But she was as relentless in her words as she was in her actions, persistence was something Katsuki currently didn’t have the patience for.
“Katsuki!” A final tug on the sleeves of his clothes was what made his voice bounce against the stony walls.
“Ochako, I swear - if you test me, I won’t hold back! I’m not going to run to her side or whatever the fuck you want me to do. She made her choice, she chose to leave me with another man after all that I did for her! So, if you want to still be a part of this pack by the end of the night, then you best get the hell out of my face. Now.”
…
Darkness resided in all corners of the cabin, its long fingers stretched around the halls, consuming all who lingered within it. A figure stood tall, flat against the walls, with sharp eyes that narrowed in silts. It moved about with lanky limbs through the shadows whose footsteps were barely audible against the wooden floors. How the wooden boards of the flooring didn’t creak under the weight of it was beyond the logic of physics. It stood in front of the door to your room, claws clutched at the doorknob, turning it sluggishly until it clicked, and the door pushed open with a groan.
Glowing slits shrouded in the dark found your body upon the bed, supine on the bare mattress, and arm covered in bandages. Your sweat gathered at your clavicles, and your eyebrows clenched together along with the fist of your injured arm. You were too deep in your conscious to be aware of the figure clambering over you, eyes fallen over the motion of your chest, the rise and fall defined the crease of your cleavage that peeked behind the collar of your tunic. A claw slithered around and squeezed your soft breast, and your nipple hardened in response. You stirred slightly, expression tightening when aggression rose in its movements. You began gasping like the air had suddenly left your lungs and the oxygen of the surrounding area dissipated.
The bandages around your arm was suddenly squeezed against your skin, the pounding of your heart nearly felt from the tightness. Pain had shot up through your upper arm like a needle was dug through your heated skin.
You woke up, but to darkness. Still, something was there. You felt its weight push against you and your scream was eaten by a palm clasped around your lips. You tousled with the figure with your eyes alert in the dark. You couldn’t see a thing, but you felt everything, from the palm pressed against your mouth to the hand juggling between your breasts and stomach, the feeling of something but nothing at all.
Still, you fought with all of your might, muffled screams and kicks that seemed to hit nothing but the dark. One of your hands slapped the air at the feeling of something hovering over you, your legs forcefully splitting for the weight that shifted in between them. You whimpered, most of it muffled. The tears fell silent while the gash on your arm grew loud in agony.
The palm had left your mouth, but fear had held you hostage, so your words had fallen in reserve behind gritted teeth and your energy was spent throwing your arms against your assaulter, hitting, yet again, the darkness.
But something was there. You could feel its presence, its slimy claws stretching your collar until it ripped. Something was being pressed in between your legs, slightly rocking against you to create friction.
“S-Stop…” Your protest faltered when those claws bound your neck into the pillow and you were forced to stare up into the abyss, into the eyes of nothing yet you felt the heat of nothing upon your face.
The claws then sunk through the wound of your arm, earning a piping scream as you tousled and squirmed, shouted and kicked at the burning sensation of your skin splitting. At that point, your only wish was to have its claws taken out of your raw flesh. It felt like your arm was sitting bare under the sun, fried under its gaze until all that remained was a crusted overlay of dried blood and mangled skin.
“H-Help…!” You found yourself calling into the abyss, the torment now reaching your upper arm and shoulder.
“Katsuki…!”
A call of your name was what you heard, and your eyes opened to a pair of emerald eyes surrounded by the dim lighting of a candle. Your arms were being held down by the hands grasping them, one of them careful enough not to touch the wound that was profusely dripping of blood. You were still thrashing around in his grip, heaving as if you finally gained control of your lungs.
“K-Katsuki! Katsuki!” You screamed his name like it would’ve offered you some protection. Hysteria had embraced you and kept you far from reality.
Izuku hugged you, despite not being the one who you called for. His hand held your head beside his clavicles, shushing the sobs that left you. “Shh… I’m right here. I’m here…”
His soothing voice worked as a spell, your thrashing reduced to small whimpers as your arms lazily went under his arms and your fingers dug into his back. You hadn’t yet been released from the dream, in fact, your mind hadn’t yet realized that this was reality and the Katsuki you believed you were holding was nothing more than your imagination.

IX: Reunited
About two days before Katsuki’s outrageous announcement, something was brewing within the small town surrounded by the dense forest. A crowd had gathered around a cabin and several men with axes in their palms were standing in front of them on the deck. Some of the men were wounded with bandages wrapped around their arms and legs, others weren’t lucky and had a patch over their damaged eye. An elderly woman was standing amongst them who appeared unscratched with a fist in the air that shook with the words that left her.
“The wolves have stolen her!”
The atmosphere was heavy, and the wind chill was felt within their spines despite how bundled up the crowd was. Tears gathered at their eyes and their hands shook with pent up anger. They were tired, tired of being prey to such monsters.
“We couldn’t save her… They attacked us, and we watched them take her away. Who knows what they have done to her.” The elder woman choked, bringing her face down like she couldn’t bear to look at the grave faces in front of her. One of the men behind her placed a hand on her shoulder for comfort and he stepped forward, continuing from where she left off.
“These monsters think they can just come and take our people. How many times must we lose our love ones to them? Something must be done!”
“But what can we do!? Even you hunters got hurt by them!” A woman cried within the crowd.
“They’re too strong to fight! Don’t you remember what happened last time?!” A man shouted, anda frightful scream followed after.
Fear had stirred itself within the hearts of the people. They shifted with unease and chatted loudly amongst themselves, many without a clue on what to do. The wolves were a powerful species, a single wolf could take down dozens of men without a single drop of energy wasted. The fear had painfully reminded them of the events that took place long ago. They relived the horror through their memories, the ghost of screams rang in their ears like the echoes of a tower bell. The smell of sour blood was still fresh in their minds, and the urge to throw up plagued the backs of their throats. Even if they did decide to fight back against the wolves again, it would just be another massacre on their side. They had no chance against them.
Within the frantic crowd stood a man whose mind was running amuck. His emerald eyes flickered about, from the backs of the people surrounding him to the hunters that stood on the cabin’s porch. Those eyes belong to your childhood friend, Izuku, who was feeling a bit strange about this entire situation. Even though he was panicking because of your disappearance, he still had to think of this situation logically.
Since the day when you gave your bag of meat to that pregnant woman and her wolf lover, your interest in wolves had spiked. Izuku hardly saw you during the day and you would return just after the sun would set. During the little time you spent with him in the mornings, he didn’t have the courage to ask about your late returns, neither was it any of his business. But now he wished he had said something because you’ve been missing for two days and the old woman from the market and the hunters claimed you were taken by the wolves. It was unbelievable story to him. Was it possible that you came in contact with the wolves during those times and they kidnapped you? But why would they wait until after a few months to do so?
Whenever he saw you return at night, there was always a soft smile on your face. The light of the lanterns outside your house would hit your face just right, and he could see the flush on your cheeks. He doubted the cause being the coldness around you, it was clearly something that touched your heart. Was it possible that you encountered a wolf during those times? Was your disappearance by your will?
His eyes narrowed on the hunters and the old woman who continued speaking to the anxious crowd. She was completely unscratched while the hunters harbored all the injuries. There was no doubt in Izuku’s mind that they were attacked but he couldn’t help but question their reason for being in the forest. The only reason for the hunters to be there is if they were alerted about the sighting of a wolf. It could be possible that the old woman spotted a wolf trying to kidnap you and told the hunters, but it didn’t explain why a woman of her age would be traveling through such a dangerous forest alone. It wasn’t adding up for Izuku, but he knew, whether you were kidnapped, or left on your own, that he had to find you.
About a week after Katsuki’s outrageous announcement, winter was steadily getting worse. The snowfalls were getting heavier and even the pack had predicted that a storm was coming. You couldn’t quite understand how they knew that but Ochako told you that they could “simply sense it”. Despite that, it didn’t stop the pack from carrying on their duties and it didn’t stop you from having some fun in the courtyard with Eijirou’s children.
You had the pleasure of meeting all three of his children, Eiji, the oldest, Minato, the second oldest, and lastly, Mie, the youngest and only girl. It didn’t take long for Minato and Mie to warm up to you once Eiji expressed how awesome it was not only to be friends with Katsuki, but to be bonded to him. Bonding, you learned, was just another way of saying engaged or married for the wolves. You quickly corrected the boy, stating how it wasn’t true, but the children were already in awe, excited about an upcoming ceremony. You didn’t have the heart to grow angry at them because they were children.
Unfortunately, you couldn’t have that same mindset when it came to Katsuki, no matter how childish he acted during this situation, it wasn’t fair how he selfishly decided this without your consent. Announcing to the entire pack about an engagement you never agreed to was something that caused a rift in your relationship. You gave him the classic silent treatment, ignoring him whenever he wanted to talk. You even started sleeping in Ochako’s cave because you believed he didn’t deserve your company.
Your treatment, of course, made Katsuki furious. You could feel his humid gaze everywhere you went. Even as you kept away from him, he stayed at a distance and watched your every move with that same glare he often gave when he was angry. Even now, you could feel the heat of his eyes on the back of your head, relentless as the heat of a summer sun melting the backs of diligent farmers. He was sitting on a chair that looked like it was made from tree logs and Eijirou was beside him, talking off his ear. You thought Katsuki wasn’t paying him any attention but from time to time he would respond with a small nod, his eyes would be on nothing but you.
But what did Katsuki expect? You to be all joyous about marrying him at such a short notice, especially for all the wrong reasons? The events of that day were still fresh in your mind that you couldn’t go five seconds without renewed anger plaguing your emotions. You could never forget the faces of the pack as Katsuki “introduced” you to them. The color drained from their skin and left them ashen, their lips voided of the feeling that would make them smile. You pulled away from Katsuki instantly after his announcement, but the pack was too stunned by his words to realize your distressed expression.
“What is the meaning of this, Katsuki?” was one of many voices that sounded out from the pack. Many of which were in protest of a marriage between a wolf and a human.
“For all we know, she could be a spy!”
Katsuki rolled his eyes. “I know she’s definitely not a fucking spy. She risked her life to save mine, and if it wasn’t for her, you wouldn’t even have a next-in-line.”
“She could be tricking you! That’s just what her kind does! Fool you into thinking they’re peaceful until they stab you in the back!”
“How are you willing to marry the same species that caused you and our pack so much pain?!”
“You know how stupid it is to judge one person on the actions of what their people did in the past? You’re no different than the pathetic humans that think that way.” Katsuki responded, but it did nothing to deter the pressure building within the area.
“It still doesn’t erase the fact that she’s one of them!”
You never wanted to run away so fast before in your life. All of their words cut into your heart and the pain felt as sharp as a blade every time you breathe in. How could have Katsuki think this was a good idea? How could this mend any hostility between the you and the pack? All it created was anger, especially towards you. Katsuki continued to rectify his pack’s opinions. Even though he knew that their opinions had no effect on his decision, he could see in his peripherals that you were visibly shaking. You had turned away from the crowd, no longer able to look at their faces of hate. He felt the immediate need to protect you from their words and moved to have you in his arms again.
But he wasn’t quick enough. Another pair of arms had wrapped around you like a shield and a familiar pair of crimson eyes burned into his own. Mitsuki didn’t hide her disappointment on her face as she looked at her son. Her knitted eyebrows nearly hooded over her glare, anger swirling within as she held you against her body. You accepted her hug, gripping the backs of her tunic and crying on her. Katsuki had sucked his teeth and returned his mother’s glare, a single look told Mitsuki to stay out of this, but she wasn’t going to allow her son to lead the pack down this spiral.
“Enough!” Mitsuki’s shout halted the voices of the crowd. “This senseless arguing won’t change a thing.”
“But Mitsuki, what would Masaru think?” A wolf of older age questioned and Mitsuki, being the refined leader she is, wasn’t thrown off by it. She remained calm despite the memories of the mention entering her mind.
“You know damn well what Masaru would think.”
The older wolf didn’t back off, but he was as calm as Mitsuki. “A bond between a human and a wolf wouldn’t be a good idea for this pack. After what we went through… you of all people should know that, Mitsuki.”
“Can you guys just get species out of your damn head for five seconds and look at a person individually? This human saved my son and not only that but our pack. When we were low on food a couple of months ago and Katsuki came back with some food, who did you think gave it to him? I understand the fear… Even I didn’t trust her when I met her, but after talking to her and getting to know her, it made me think that Masaru would’ve definitely accepted her into the family. So why don’t you give her a chance…?”
The loud voices of the pack settled into mere mumbles. The degrading words had stopped and the anger on their faces contorted into confusion. The pack had nothing to say after that, no signs of acceptance or denial, and Mitsuki didn’t wait for them to take a side. She started to pull you away and quickly guided you out of the courtyard and into one of the caves. You couldn’t recognize your surroundings because of the blur caused by your tears that hung on to your lashes. Katsuki followed right behind you. You could feel his presence, specifically his anger. You had no idea why he was angry but, of all people, you had the right to be upset. You were completely blindsided by this. What you thought was going to be a simple introduction ended up turning into chaos.
“Why’d you have to go butt in like that?! I had everything under control!” Katsuki exploded once he entered the cave. His voice came quick like lightning and rumbled like deep thunder. The ripples of sound were enough to have the tiny hairs on your skin stand. His eyebrows had knitted together so deeply that you were able to count the folds of skin created between them. His fangs, you had never seen them so large before as he bared them at his mother. Sharp, as if it could pierce diamonds itself.
Mitsuki moved fast. With her hand tight as a fist, she whacked the top of his head but Katsuki bounced back and snarled as if he felt no pain. “I never knew you were so goddamn stupid!”
“Huh?! What did you say, you old hag?!”
“What were you thinking?! What made you think this was a good idea?!”
“It was until you spoke! I needed to get the pack to like her and this was the only way!”
“To marry her?! Did she even agree to this?!” One look at you was enough for Mitsuki to know. She tried to take another whack at Katsuki’s head, but he dodged it, growling when he did. No matter how many times Mitsuki tried to physically harm him, Katsuki made no move to retaliate but you knew it took every hair in his body to restrain himself from raising a hand against his mother.
“She would’ve said yes anyway!”
“No. I’m not going through with this.”
“What?” Katsuki was startled by your outburst. He didn’t expect to hear that you were against this.
“You think I would’ve said yes to this…? The only way for your pack to like me is if I’m your wife? You don’t want to marry me because you love me?”
“What? I never fucking said that.” His footsteps were loud when he walked towards you. He held your shoulders with his hands, a gentle touch that would’ve normally made you melt. He rubbed up and down your shoulders to comfort you as he gazed into your eyes. “You already know how I feel about you.”
“Then why are you making me go through this?”
He stumbled at your question and looked away for a moment. When he couldn’t find a sufficient answer, he gave the same one he gave his mother. “It’s the only way.”
“So, they won’t even like me for me, is that what you’re saying? Only if I’m the wife of their future leader?”
Katsuki growled and struggled to find the right words in the arsenal of his mind. The grip he had on your shoulders grew tight as his mind went searching. You didn’t give him time to find them and shook your head. “I’m not doing this.”
“I don’t think we can call this off.” Mitsuki spoke up and folded her arms across her chest. “Our pack will suspect that you tried to force Katsuki through this and that Katsuki came to his senses. They would end up hating you even more and then you wouldn’t have a reason to stay with us. Being my son’s savior wouldn’t be enough to help you by then.”
“I just can’t believe this…” You tore yourself away from Katsuki’s grip and ran. You ignored the call of your name from Katsuki and ran until you were outside the cave. That was when you bumped into Ochako who was actually searching for you after the meeting. You threw yourself at her and cried against her chest.
Thinking about last week made you revisit some pain that was too fresh to bear. You tried to distract yourself by playing with Mie’s hair, twirling your fingers between light pink strands. Katsuki’s eyes were still on you from afar. Eijirou took note of it a while back but he decided to finally address it. With a sigh, he leaned his head against his hand and spoke.
“You know, all you gotta do is just apologize to her. It’s been like, what, a week already since you guys last spoke? Just go up to her right now.”
“You think I didn’t try? She doesn’t even want to look in my direction.” Katsuki grumbled.
“I wouldn’t too after what you pulled. And here I was about to give you my blessing until I found out from Ochako that she had no idea about it. What you did wasn’t exactly the most romantic thing, let alone, manly.”
“Just shut up, I get it. I already got enough from the hag and Round-face, I don’t need it from you.”
“Maybe you can ask Ochako for help? They’ve been hanging out a lot more lately. I’m sure they talked about you more than once.”
“You know women, they keep their secrets to themselves.”
“I’m pretty sure men do the same thing.” Eijirou laughed. “But it’s worth a shot. We all know you can be an idiot sometimes, but we also know you didn’t mean to hurt her. You were just thinking about how to help her.”
Katsuki sighed and ran a hand over his face. “Yeah… I’ll see what I can do.”
“By the way, did you ever tell her?”
“About?” He lifted his head to look at his friend.
“That day we went hunting. I knew she looked familiar the night I met her. I laughed so hard.” Eijirou’s words had reminded Katsuki of something and his reaction was something that Eijirou wish he could watch on repeat over and over again. Katsuki had buried his face in his hand, covering the redness that spread across his skin tone. A groan like growl left his lips while a series of laughs left Eijirou’s. Eijirou gave him a heavy pat on his back that ended with a rub to his shoulders.
“Don’t tell her, alright?” Katsuki suddenly said.
“Why not? I’m sure she’ll—”
“Just don’t.”
Katsuki gave a hard look and Eijirou knew to back off. He could tell it was something he wasn’t ready to talk about especially not to you. His blush faded as fast as his glare and his eyes returned to the sight of you playing in the snow with Eijirou’s children. You were rolling snow in your hands until it formed into a ball and you hurled it at Minato who squealed when it hit him. He retaliated with his own tiny snow ball, his tail wagging uncontrollably, and a smile so wide you saw his tiny fangs peeking from behind his lips. Mie was defending him while Eiji was helping you.
Seeing you in a snow fight with the children was probably the cutest thing Katsuki had ever seen you do. He could see that your hands were becoming terribly cold and possibly numb, but it didn’t stop you from having fun. The bright smile on your face was oddly arousing to Katsuki. Perhaps because it’s been ages since it was directed at him. It’s only been a week, yet it felt like months since he had your attention. Each day he craved for it and tried to quench it by talking to you but when you shunned him away, he had no choice but to fulfill it by watching you from afar. He surely missed your company and he wanted to do anything he could to win you back. If it took swallowing his pride and asking Ochako for help, then he’ll grit his teeth and do it.
Katsuki would’ve thought you and the children stopped playing because your fingers were catching frostbite, but he noticed a commotion happening within his pack that gathered your attention. A group of wolves were near the opening used to enter the area and at this distance, Katsuki could hear the low rumbles of their growls. Suddenly, Eiji, Minato, and Mie were by their father’s legs and when Katsuki looked at the spot they ran from, you had disappeared. His eyes flew back at the crowd and he spotted your back as you were pushing your way through the growling wolves. And on instinct, he ran after you.
You thought your eyes had deceived you, but you knew these wolves wouldn’t be growling for no reason. What you saw should have been impossible but when you heard his voice over the harsh rumbles of the wolves, it became more and more possible. You excused yourself through the crowd, heart racing and adrenaline melting the numbness of your fingertips with heat. Your eyes went searching for any openings between heads to find who that voice belonged to. You slipped between bodies as fast as you could until you reached the very front of the crowd. You quickly noticed Mitsuki beside you, but you were more focused on the man that stood in front of you. Emerald colored eyes stared back at you with the same amount of shock you were giving. His hair was the trademark colors of spring’s green fields and freckles were dusted on his soft red cheeks.
“Izuku?” It was like your call had filled him with life. The shock had melted from his eyes, replaced by relief as he took a step forward with his arms slightly out. You rushed towards him, fitting perfectly within his arms as the two of you embrace for what felt like ages since the last.
“I thought you were dead…” You heard him say in your ear. You felt his arms around you squeeze your body.
“I’m alive and well. I thought I would never see you again.” You spoke in his chest, your voice vibrating against the fabrics of his heavy top. You pulled away slightly and his hands moved to cup your cheeks and wipe the tears that rolled down them. Despite the tears, you were smiling up at Izuku, relieved to see a familiar face after the chaos of last week. You didn’t question why or how he was here, you were just glad to see him.
Soon the view of Izuku’s face was blocked by a back covered in a large cloak of fur. Izuku had stumbled back and your face was replaced by eyes that held the same fiery rage as hell. Glorious fangs were bared at him, threatening to sink in his neck if he were to take a single step closer to you.
Katsuki spoke lowly, the snarl that left his lips made shivers run across Izuku’s back. “Who the fuck are you?”

VIII:
On the second night with Katsuki’s pack, the perfect moon was eastward to the mountains that stood like silhouettes against the dark navy skies. A swirl of stars peeked behind the leisurely clouds, riding along the skies like a brush upon a canvas. A wonder was happening among them, but it only lasted for a moment. A streak of light had torn through the stagnant stars before it faded into the dark, if eyes had discovered the phenomenon, many would have wished for their desires and hoped it would come true in the near future. Unfortunately, you weren’t there to witness the event like many others who were slumbering in their caves. You were between the arms of Katsuki, huddled up against his chest as you slept soundly. Your legs were tangled with his under the cozy covers you were sharing with him. You were taking up most of the sheep wool cloth under you once again and Katsuki’s body was clinging to the bare edges of the cloth. He wasn’t aware of it as he was deep in his sleep. It took a lot to wake Katsuki up, normally, one would have to shake him awake constantly until he recovered from his stages of sleep. The only time where he would wake up instantly would be because of his senses, but even that wasn’t common.
As for you, you were quite the opposite. Unless you were extremely exhausted, any simple sound would stir you awake momentarily before slipping back into your slumber. Even when Katsuki would shift slightly, you would wake up, moving along with him before settling back into your sleep. So, it wasn’t a surprise that you were stirred out of your sleep when an unidentified sound entered your ears. With a groan, you rubbed your tired eyes while you picked up your head. The covers around your body had slipped to your hips.
“What is that…?” You asked yourself and glanced at the hanging cloth that separated the hallway from the room. You heard a faint sound that felt like it came from the room across the hall. It sounded like someone was in pain, growls and sometimes squeals could be heard. The cloth muffled the sound, but it still worried you to no end. At first, you were going to check it out yourself, but you remembered how the pack treated you yesterday and it discouraged you. So, you decided on the next best thing.
“K-Katsuki?” You shook him lightly on his shoulder, your voice no higher than a whisper. Katsuki didn’t budge. “Katsuki.” You continued to shake him a bit rougher this time but still, there was no reaction from him. You released a heavy sigh, stood up on your knees, and placed both hands on his arm and without further ado, you shook him with all of your might. Even then, he still didn’t wake up right away but was gradually lifted from his sleeping spell.
“Hmm? W-Wha…?” He groaned. Instantly, that calm appearance you grew to know whenever he was asleep was replaced with furrowed brows and a scowl. You saw his pupils, surrounded by crimson, adjust to the dim lighting of the candles in the room, from slits to slight dilation.
“Katsuki, please. I think someone needs help.” You told him as he sat up, a little frustrated that he was woken up from his slumber. You felt bad for it, but you knew Katsuki would be the best person to do something about this issue.
“What? What are you talking about…?” He ran a hand through his spiky hair. It was a little bit uneven from laying on one side of his body for a long period of time. He was already moving himself onto the cloth under you, perhaps not wanting to sit on the cold flooring of the cave any longer.
“Don’t you hear that? Someone’s in pain… I think you should go check on them.” Katsuki sighed softly when he saw that frown on your lips as you stared at him. The last time he saw you this worried was when those hunters attacked him. Before his vision faded into darkness, he saw you hovering over him while you screamed his name. It was definitely a sight he never wanted to see again, just thinking about it made his blood boil. So Katsuki closed his eyes, unable to look at your face, and carefully focused on the sounds beyond the room. You watched as his ears twitched as every individual hum, thud, squeak, resonated along with the soft breathing of your nose and the casual shifting you would do as you anxiously waited for a response. Immediately, Katsuki was able to identify the sounds and you saw his eyebrows raised slightly as his eyes met with yours.
“If that’s what you wanted…” He brought a hand to the back of his neck. Just for a moment his eyes left you and returned with vigor, like a soft flame was lit within them. “You should’ve just asked me before we went to bed.”
You blinked. “Wait—What?”
You saw his tail casually moving. You couldn’t tell if it was for excitement or something else. “You wanna mate, right? Just like them?”
“M-Mate? You mean like…?” You gulped, and a wide smirk tore into Katsuki’s face, his large fangs looked orange in the glow of the candles.
“Yeah—what, did you actually think someone was in pain?”
“Ah—Well—I don’t know. It sounds kind of different…” He laughed loudly at your stutters. The growls and squeals from the other room ceased, and you shushed Katsuki, afraid that he interrupted the intimate moment. Oh, you so wanted to die from embarrassment. The heat was steadily making its way to your cheeks, neck, and ears and the snickers from Katsuki just made you want to dig yourself into a ditch.
“Wolves like to do it when there’s a full moon so it’s not a surprise that those two are getting it on.” Katsuki said once he regained his composure. He still had this smirk on his face as he looked at you.
“Why?”
He shrugged. “Uh, there’s this dumb tradition that it’s based on but—”
“Oh, what’s the tradition?” You instantly perked up and it made Katsuki sigh.
“You really want to hear it?”
“Yeah, of course!” Katsuki stared briefly at your large smile before he let out another sigh. He honestly wanted to go back to sleep but you looked so excited about this that he had no choice but to indulge you.
“Alright, here, come closer.” He moved to lay down on his side and motioned with his hand for you to join him. You didn’t hesitate and with a smile, you joined him under the covers. The heavy sheep wool was squashed under your bodies, the warmth of his arms that encircled your waist instantly felt as if summer had arrived. If it weren’t for your arms between your bodies, your chest would’ve been crushed against his, but your hands had all the glory of feeling the shape of his chiseled pecs through the thin fabric of his top. As he looked at you, his eyes were like two flames of fire that burned strongly in the orange glow of the room, yet it held the softness of the stained-red petals of fire lilies. You became lost in them as you so often did. How could you not as they bored into your soul with such passion.
“I told you about Fenrir, right? Our ancestor?” His voice was low, it sounded more like a rumble than a whisper. “Well, he’s basically the guy who started it all. We’re not exactly sure how he came to be, there are many origin tales that I don’t feel like explaining… but Fenrir was a pure wolf. One day, he met a human woman who saved his life and he ended up falling in love with her. They say the first night they mated was under a full moon and the night when the first werewolf was born was also under a full moon.”
“Werewolf?”
“The correct word for what we are, but humans like to call us wolves. Sometimes we even catch ourselves using that word too.”
“Is calling you guys wolves offensive?”
“Not really. It’s what we are anyway.”
“So, werewolves have human in their genes…?”
“Yeah, it’s the reason why we look similar to humans or why we can mate with you guys, the only difference is that we have a lot of wolf qualities because of Fenrir.”
Your eyes were drawn to his ears and fangs. “That makes a lot of sense.”
“Yeah. So that’s why everyone wants to fuck under the full moon because they’re basically reenacting that legend.” Whatever heat you felt from his eyes before had shimmered down. They were relaxed, half lidded as it looked like he was waiting for you to say something. But all he got in return was silence and he shut his eyes to the soft warmth of your body instead. He was getting tired again and your presence was a sweet lullaby luring him to sleep.
“So… when we…” You started.
The glow of his eyes returned. “I don’t really care about those damn legends. Whenever it happens, it happens, but… I know when the full moon comes, I feel different. I can’t explain it but… it’s probably because I’m a direct descendant from him.”
“You still feel like Katsuki to me.” You laid your hand on his cheek and he held on to the wrist of that hand. “You may be a direct descendant but that doesn’t mean you’re him.”
“I don’t know.” You felt him shrug and his cheeks were being pushed up by the smirk of his lips, tired yet full of mischief. “I do have my own human woman.”
“That you have not claimed as yours.”
“Yet. One of these full moons should do it, right?”
Your cheeks grew hot, but you tried your best not to appear shaken. “Remind me to not share a room with you during a full moon then.”
“I will not.” Katsuki shut his eyes again, letting go of your wrist and snuggling closer to you until his face was against the top of your head and buried in your hair.
You huffed softly. “My father was right, men are wolves.”
“Only to those they love…” was the last you heard of Katsuki. Which you thought was quite unfair because his words left you startled. You have never heard the word love from him before and you weren’t even sure if he thought of you that deeply. You softly called his name to confirm his feelings, but he already returned to the world of sleep.
You sighed, knowing you would be unable to sleep with your thoughts rattling within your head.
When morning arrived, you woke up from your three hours of sleep to Katsuki putting on a new long sleeve top. The brief sight of a shirtless Katsuki was amazing to wake up to. Time slowed as you admired the muscles of his back and shoulders, watching them contract and expand when he pulled the thin fabric over his head and body. You could tell he just took a bath because the spikes of his hair were drooping towards the ground and droplets of water fell periodically on his shoulders. Sadly, the show didn’t last as Katsuki turned around and greeted you with his short “Hey” when he sensed you were awake. He always knew when you were awake, and you found it a little creepy at first, but you had grown used to it. Pretending to be asleep was something that would never work on him.
“How can you tell if I’m awake or not?” You asked, and he smirked. Every time you asked him about anything that involved his senses, he always looked smug.
“Cause your breathing pattern changes.” He spoke like it was obvious.
He looked like he was waiting for more questions, but you swiftly changed the subject to avoid stroking his ego. The subject changed into the agenda for this morning and Katsuki explained he wanted to get you settled down and formally introduce you to his pack. He understood the hostility between you and his pack but most of it was because his pack didn’t understand why a human woman was living among them. So, he believed letting the pack know what was going on would loosen the tension.
You were nervous. You didn’t want to go through what you experienced yesterday again but Katsuki assured you that everything would turn out okay. You simply just had to believe him.
But before introductions, you had to freshen up a bit and change your clothes that suited more of his pack’s culture. That’s when Katsuki had introduced you to one of his friends.
“Hey, Roundface.” Was his nickname for her when he called her as she was talking to a group of wolves in the courtyard. The courtyard was an area next to the large crater where the cave entrances were. Wolves loved to linger around this area as they waited for the day to past by. Katsuki explained before that it was also a place where they held their rituals. He didn’t specify what those rituals are, but it sure left you curious about them.
When “Roundface” turned around to face Katsuki, her expression was flat. She didn’t look too amused by her nickname, in fact, her face was only slightly rounded with pink filling in her cheeks, so she didn’t think her nickname was quite accurate.
“What is it?” Although, her voice didn’t show her lack of amusement. She was genuinely curious as to why Katsuki approached her.
“I want you to show ____ around. Get her settled in and some new clothes.” Katsuki placed a hand on your shoulder, bringing her attention to you. She blinked at you for a bit and then at Katsuki.
“Wouldn’t it be better if you do it?”
“I don’t think I can follow her in the bath.” He glanced at you. “Unless you want me to.”
“I don’t.” You quickly said.
“See? I’m going to gather everyone here in the afternoon so just bring her back here no later than that.”
She sighed softly at his words. “You better not be thinking of doing anything stupid. Did you let our leader know about this?”
“The old hag doesn’t need to know shit. She’ll find out when everyone else does.” Something about what “Roundface” said had irked Katsuki. Whenever his mother was mentioned, it always felt like his mood went sour. You knew their relationship wasn’t the best, but you didn’t think it was so serious to where a single mention could make Katsuki look like that.
“Alright… But if she gets angry at me, I’m putting the blame on you.”
“Hey…” Your cheeks grew warm when Katsuki’s face was suddenly just a mere inch from your own. He had pushed his forehead against yours, the tip of your noses barely touched as he softly gazed into your eyes. When he spoke, you felt his breath hit your lips with every syllable. “I’ll see you later.”
“Hm-mm.” You nodded, not even capable of forming words at that moment. He pulled away after that and swiftly turned around, leaving you alone with “Roundface”. You stared at his departing back that was covered by his usual fur cape. Your eyes were gentle as you brought a hand to touch your forehead. Such a simple gesture from him was enough to have you in a complete trance. Katsuki had done that to you a few times whenever he was leaving to do something. And you have seen a few wolves do it around the area, ones that look like they were in a romantic relationship, so you assumed it was the wolves’ way of showing affection when leaving.
Little did you know, Roundface’s cheeks were redder than usual, seeing such an intimate moment had startled her as she wasn’t used to seeing Katsuki being affectionate. He was always so angry and stubborn and sure, he had his few share of women who would blab about being with him to incite jealousy, but he never once showed that he was serious with them. Katsuki’s relationship with you felt different to her.
Once Katsuki was gone, Roundface formally introduced herself as Ochako. She was a friend of Katsuki’s, not really a close one, but from time to time they would help each other if needed. Other than Eijirou and Mitsuki, she’s the first wolf of the tribe to treat you like you weren’t an enemy. When she talked to you, she always had a smile on her face and she listened with excitement whenever you were talking about yourself. She was especially interested when you explained how you and Katsuki met. She commented on it being fate and you couldn’t help but blush because of it.
From the time you spent with Ochako, it felt as if you’ve known her for years. You bonded over the simplest things, even giving each other advice on some troubles. She taught you about the daily lives of the pack. Wolves usually get up a little bit after dawn to do their duties. The men would go on the morning hunt and wouldn’t return until noon. The women stayed behind to clean around the dens and prepare meals for the pack and if the children were old enough they would assist the women in their duties or accompany the men on their morning hunt.
It didn’t matter what gender the child was because the wolves thought it was necessary for children to understand the importance of both roles when growing up because if there was ever a time they would leave the pack, they would be able to survive on their own. During the afternoons, the wolves would usually rest or play games with each other until dinner time. It was such a simple, peaceful life, similar to how people in your town lived. There wasn’t much of a difference between lifestyles and yet the two species wanted to kill each other. You didn’t know if your presence would do anything to mend the chaos between them, but you knew you wanted to try. It was all you can do.
The afternoon came faster than you realized. Katsuki had already gathered up the entire pack in the courtyard and hundreds of wolves swarmed the area, curious as to why their leader’s son had called for them. Mitsuki, too, was standing to the side, watching with a scowl fixed on her face. A crimson glare directed towards her son who stood not too far away from her in front of their people. You could tell by her body language that she was taken by surprise at the sudden assembly. Katsuki didn’t warn her about it or tell her what it was about and for the leader not to know what it happening to her own people, it upset her. She made a promised to herself to drag Katsuki by the ear into the nearest cave after the gathering and strangle him.
You could feel the anger radiating from Mitsuki. She didn’t lift her gaze towards your direction. Unfortunately, you were standing right next to Katsuki who you knew was the source of all her anger. You had no choice but to feel the pressure of her gaze even though it wasn’t for you. Katsuki, on the other hand, was used to this. He ignored her like she wasn’t in the room and waited for the wolves to settle before speaking. He projected his voice as loud as he could, earning the attention of his people.
“I have an announcement.” He simply said. You watched as their faces grew uncomfortable the second you felt Katsuki’s hand on your shoulder. You began to twiddle your thumbs and your gaze was glued to the floor as you waited for Katsuki’s next words. An introduction should be easy, but you had no clue as to why you felt so nervous. It could be because you were in front of a group of wolves that weren’t fond of you, but this was your chance to finally change any wrong image they had of you. You believed that once Katsuki put in a good word for you, that the pack would be more willing to get to know you. You were different from the other humans, all you had to do was prove it.
You took a deep breath and returned your eyes to the sea of wolves in front of you. You felt the hand on your shoulder give a light squeeze and you glanced at Katsuki only to find him staring right into the crowd. You didn’t expect the words that left him, and neither did his people. The sound of your gasp couldn’t be muffled by your hands that flew to cover it.
“We’re getting married.” With a straight face, Katsuki loudly spoke, and all at once, the area grew sour.

Happy to say that I’m at the editing stage for WAU - XIII. Maybe tonight or tomorrow I’ll update but I’m not sure how I feel about this chapter. I like it but Idk. All I know is that this arc ends with this chapter and we’ll be at the last arc of season 1, which possibly has 5 or 6 chapters (currently 6 but I might cut a chapter) and then we’re in season 2 which I’m so excited to write about. It’s where all the meat and action and drama is and oooo I can’t wait.
