You said you were ok with random asks and I’m curious since you’re an out there artist. Do you have specific species headcanons for dream smp characters thatre like pretty niche?

firstly i am So Incredibly Honored to be considered an out there artist that is Fantastic News that i will treasure forever n ever. secondly i think so? i definitely have some i've never seen anyone else do before but i think that's mainly b/c i like to develop my own hc's n lore for mc. i'll consult my List Of Headcanons n put any that i think are niche here:

antfrost: cat familiar [ as in like. the animals that help witches w/ magic stuff ]

boomer: frog familiar

callahan: living end rod Or living command block [ i haven't decided yet; leaning towards the latter tho ]

charlie: living slime block [ for now at least. he's one of the ones i need to think harder about tbh ]

hannah: living rose bush

lazarbeam: living cookie [ i really don't have any strong feelings on this guy whatsoever but this hc is so silly to me that i have to bring it up ]

niki: living furnace

purpled: alien [ i Know this is a widespread hc but you must understand. to me he is specifically whatever alien species impostors from amogus are. i know it's ridiculous but i'm 100% serious ]

ranboo: ender guardian [ i'm not sure if they're half enderman, half ender guardian or just a full on ender guardian tho ]

sally: waterwolf

tubbo: jackalope hybrid

wilbur: unknown entity [ aka she hatched out of the ender dragon egg on phil's hardcore world ]

Hello, waterwolf! Not sure if you’re just sharing this, or if you wanted feedback. The names generally sound pretty reasonable. Mambastep feels a little weird to me, because I picture -step as going with prefixes based on animals that have feet and distinctive gaits, and since snakes don’t… But if you’re taking a more general approach and going after temperament, mannerisms, etc, not just how the cat steps, then I could see it possibly working. Anyhoo, I hope your Clan development’s been going well, as it’s certainly got an interesting setting!
