As part of my sculpture investigation I wanted to play with the material of water and so I found the studio setting too confining.
The fast and then slowing sound of water is something I wanted to capture whether it was through my primary research or re-creating the movement at home.
I used a glass container here and had added other elements into the container before filling it with water and recorded it as a slow motion.
This is my 3rd recording and the one I found most interesting.
Willam Pye is internationally known for his water sculptures. His fountains use the movement of water in natural ways to create unusual looking pieces. His work graces the most famous of gardens and the interiors of world class museums. However most of them are located outside of the United States, so we wanted to share several of them with you. See them on our blog (link in bio, search William Pye). . . #watersculptures #fountains #williampye #kineticsculpture #waterfountains #charybdis #water #artinstallation #sculpture #sculptureart https://www.instagram.com/p/CEujglOA-Q_/?igshid=1rbx5spzr9lzk
