in my own home again 👍 and my salad kit didn’t even go bad so i even get to have big salad tonight queen !!
#chatpost#i know i should be excited to be home but i mostly just feel so sad. i’m so tired of being scared of my roommates. whatever#my plants didn’t do so good while i was gone i should have asked someone to water them#might lose the little peace lily in the bathroom but it might bounce back 🤔 it was new & pretty cheap tho so no big loss#i’m glad about my salad though. i really regretted leaving it here & wasting it#but it’s not wasted bc i can eat it tonight :)

#roz does plont#the blur is less cuz of anything sensitive and more cuz of how cluttered my desk is lmao and it was pulling focus#can you believe this all (re)started cuz I noticed my long-neglected haworthia pupped lmao#and then my succulent fever got re-kicked#now I just Keep Needing More to do More Plont. or else I fiddle too much with my existing plants and end up overwatering etc them lmao..#I uhhhh also have another batch of leaves I'm letting callus before I stick on a prop tray lmao...#the prop tray has fungus gnats :') oh no#I will have to try some peroxide and see if it does the trick#some of these are cuttings so no telling of they will even survive. we will see#oh yeah I also have some variegated pothos in water and a zz plant in the bathroom#the zz plant was abandoned in the garage for. months lmao.. but it survived and it's even now putting out a new stem! the baby leaf just#started poking through these last couple days!#oh yeah this is my desk at home- I also have some purloined pothos cuttings in water at my desk at work#and also one of the haworthia pups but I do worry if that one gets enough light

maybe i should take up growing orchids again this year
#my orchid saga goes like this:#my brother gives me an orchid plant for my birthday one year#i put it on my desk next to a window#this turns out to be the perfect place for and orchid to grow#because this thing did not stop producing flowers#it was awesome#i become obsessed with my endlessly flowering orchid#the following birthday i receive multiple new orchids#suddenly there is not enough space for all of them in the Perfect Orchid spot#they start to die#this is very sad so I put them elsewhere in a bathroom#I then forget to water them#they fully die#I move to a different bedroom taking first orchid with#it hates this change and dies as well#I feel like a plant murderer and do not grow any more orchids#this was about three years ago#I haven't had an orchid since#rain rambles

a moment of joy in days of tired darkness!!!
#i complain way too much here so sharing my triumphs <3#(taking a page from songbird because i want to be more like her)#getting home from work today i was able to get ALL of my chores done!!!#i loooved having my friend stay with me for a week i truly needed the break and she’s such a blessing <3#(we bought ‘soul sisters’ matching bracelets - hers gold and mine silver - and the statement couldn’t be more true 🥹)#but in that i let my room get VERY messy#and i was busing working yesterday and didn’t have time (literally cried on my way home because of how tired i was)#so i made it a goal to do everything tonight so tomorrow (my one day off) i may relax!#so i was able to clean my room; do two loads of laundry; wash my bedding; vacuum; water my plants; and tidy my bathroom!!#it may not sound like much but it was a MESS#also i did my nails cause they broke :(#so now they are VERY short (had to cut them) and i painted a few coats of clear nail polish so hopefully they won’t break#i have to get gas and get my oil changed and exchange some icecream tomorrow morning#but then i’m just gonna relax!!!#would like to change my themes but we shall see. i want to watch tv and read mostly#also i’m gonna stop in and book a hair appointment for next week!!#that’s right i’m gonna chop off my hair#it’s been years and i didn’t get it trimmed as it was growing out so i have lots of split and dead ends#and if i have to get it cut i may as well just go all the way yknow#i love having short hair and i’m lowkey excited#and i work 6 days after that but thankfully i booked myself for opening shifts which leaves my evenings free to myself which i really love
