Role Of Vitamin C Primer For Glowing Face
Over the years, Vitamin C has been touted as one of the basic ingredients of skin care. The photoprotective property of the vitamin is known to free your skin from the oxidative stress that you suffer due to pollution. They are known to enhance, protect and repair your skin in the most sophisticated manner and provide your skin with just about the right nourishment and moisturization that it requires. However, there is a certain pattern to the use of Vitamin C Primer and other serums that is required for the skin.
Tumblr media
Benefits Of the Regular Use of Vitamin C In Your Skincare:-
With an excellent safety profile, Vitamin c can be easily used by all skin types. People are known to use the same for an extended time period without any adverse effects on the skin. There are a lot of other advantages that come with the Vitamin C Primer. Some of them are:
It is hydrating:
Most of the primers and serums that are vitamin c based are known to be hydrating. The usage of the same leads to a healthy blood flow in the body and thus regulates properly. The presence of vitamin c derivative, Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, has the most hydrating effect on the skin, leaving it moisturized and smooth for the rest of the day. Regular use of vitamin c on the skin also decreases water loss.
It helps to even your skin tone:
Vitamin C Primer for Dry Skin is known to reduce pigmentations. They have the highest anti-inflammatory agents that are considered one of the best for the skin. Along with this, they are also known to remove and detoxify the skin of free radicals that leads to oxidative damage. And they help to optimize the immune system that maintains a good skin balance. This helps to even out the skin.
It also helps in reducing hyperpigmentation:
Vitamin C Primer for All Skin Types is embedded with melanin. This is one of the most recognized vitamin c derivatives that is known to reduce hyperpigmentation. There are certain parts of the skin that are permanently damaged due to the sun and the pollution level. Majorly used in all kinds of skin products, they are also known to treat acne and cyst.
Collagen production is promoted:
If you are a regular user of Best Vita C Primer, then you should be aware that it promotes the collagen level of the skin over time. The production of collagen stops the formation of wrinkles and fine lines over time. Some other advantages of the production of collagen also stabilize the structural strength of the skin and help to tighten it. It is always advised to stick to a basic schedule of skin care in order to enhance skin firmness and elasticity. However, you can go ahead and experiment with different products that best suit your skin.

What is the no makeup skincare routine of Alicia Keys?
So, after much erosion of time and memory, these are the parts I kept (with equivalent products):
Avene Eau Thermale Thermal Spring Water spray (keep in fridge, spray) (highly highly recommend. transforming. if nothing else this product changed me. I genuinely Do Not Understand Why but I try not to question it.)
Jade roller (keep in fridge) and add Vitamin C serum with caffeine (couple drops over roller, roll over face) -> the oil I get? but personally I think the jade roller thing is bullshit. Nevertheless, what it *makes* me do is a ritualistic ~paying attention~ to all parts of my face when otherwise I would just blob, swipe, go. And so it works because the roller means I moisturise every part equally instead of just putting a blob of oil on a cheekbone and walking away with a shiny nose and dry spots on the cheeks
Moisturiser base - Alicia's makeup artist's recommended one (a suncream) stopped being made a few years ago, the equivalent I found which gives same results (but not suncream) is Moo Goo's Natural Fast Hydrating Lotion, which has the benefit of also being a full body moisturiser so, less product on shelf = always a win
Add a tiny bit of primer or foundation to the moisturiser base, mix on hand before spreading on face. Again, Alicia's primer not available any more, the equivalents I found is 1) La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo, or 2) my current preferred-> Primp and Prime from The Organic Skin Company
Exfoliate lips once a week, brown sugar
Some mask thing once a week (I used to bother, no more, vague memories of it, no material difference)
A La Roche-Posay lip balm which I tried to google and found it was just discontinued? SOB (literally the only lip balm I have found in my entire life that delivers lastingly non-dry lips. I have this in bulk in my wardrobe. My lips crack to the bleeding. I've had friends say, "oh, but dry bleeding lips are just your aesthetic?" This stopped once I found this product. I can actually wear lipstick if I want without the colour leaching into the cracks like those cracked desert terrain images)
Do peripheral details because they will stand out:
-Do eyebrows once a week, tidy stray hairs
-Do hairline once a week (depends on ethnicity/hairline, mine does filter down into the face-space)
-Use eyelash curler
and lastly, the "no makeup" bit I did have to laugh at and I don't do:
Actually *wear* makeup for the red carpet, comprising tinted primer, mascara, tiny bit of eyeliner, light eyebrow pencil shaping, transculent shiny stuff rubbed on cheekbones, and a very carefully selected concealer for the under eye bags and general real world pigmentation which exists on all skin
The only thing I've added based on other reading, which I also attribute to the aggregate contributing of fixing my previous 25 years plus of weekly skin problems and pimples:
Shave my face once a week using the Avene spray as my shaving 'liquid'. Chin, cheeks, moustache, around eyebrows, monobrow, hairline, all of it. Unspeakably good results. Tiny small facial razor. Razor goes over each piece of skin exactly once, slowly, and use a very very sharp razor so there is no repeated strokes.
(The Avene spray, jade roller + serum, and the strategy of adding teh primer/foundation to the moisturiser to thin it out/improve spread were the true original items IIRC; the rest have adapted over time.)

Kitchen Witchcraft: Orange Bitters for happiness, health, and prosperity
Tumblr media
Here we are in dreary January (again). The days are short and there is nothing left but monochrome colors. All life seems to have been skimmed off of the world - or at least all of the serotonin. I'm SAD - it's the SAD time of the year.
It also happens to be citrus season. Of all of the cures for the sads, citrus (and a ready application of the vitamin C it brings) remains the best cure* for a (mild) case of the sads. With this in mind, my partner and I decided that our seasonal batch of house bitters this year would be orange flavored.
Of all of the citrus that I have tried, orange is the one that I like the least out of season but one of the ones that I love the most come January when nothing else is edible. Orange has some of the cleansing properties of the other citruses while also adding the sweetening properties of happiness and abundance. This is the energy that I wanted to harness to help bring us into the new year with a positive attitude and a bright outlook on life.
Tumblr media
This recipe was loosely adapted from the book Bitters: A Spirited History of a Classic Cure-All with Cocktail Recipes & Formulas by Brad Thomas Parson which is a nice primer on the basics of bitters making. I changed the bittering agent (I do not care for Gentian root) and the base spirit from white liquor to brown since I will be adding my orange bitters primarily to cocktails made with brown liquor.
Orange Bitters
Zest three oranges 1/4 cup chopped dried orange peel 4 Cloves (abundance) 8 Green Cardamom pods, cracked (happiness) 1/4 tsp Coriander Seeds (healing) 4 tbs Wild Cherry Bark 1/4 tsp Allspice Berries (abundance) Wild Turkey 101 1 cup water 2 tbs Rich Syrup 2 jars with secure lids Making bitters is super easy - it is simply a long-form alcohol infusion. For the first two weeks, you infuse all of the herbal ingredients in the liquor and then you strain them out and use them to make a strong tea which you steep for another week. Then, you combine the liquor, strained tea, and rich syrup. From there, you bottle and your bitters are ready to use.
This recipe calls for regular shaking of the infusion - this is where I add the majority of my magic to the recipe. As I revisit my concoction to shake it daily, I focus on adding the energy of happiness, health, and abundance for the new year in. I also did a ritual where I burned an orange candle that had been dressed with a powder made from the base ingredients over the jar to further empower the spell.
Cocktail bitters can be applied in various ways. They can, of course, be used in the creation of a cocktail but they can also be added to water or another beverage, or simply taken on the tongue. The bitter agents in this concoction will soothe minor stomach upsets while they liven your mood.
A few notes about the ingredients in this recipe: As always with recipes, the quality of the ingredients will affect the potency and flavor of your final product. It is important to use organic orange peel if you can for this recipe since pesticides tend to accumulate in the peels of the fruit. I used Wild Turkey 101 for the infusion but any overproof liquor will do. You could substitute another bittering agent for Wild Cherry bark, the original recipe called for Gentian root.

Hi guys,
We all know I love luxury beauty but there are some drugstore brands out there that are killing the game! Maybelline has been one of my favourite drugstore brands for (literally) years now. I think I started wearing their makeup when I was 16/17 and I’m now 30! So today I thought I would share with you my 3 favourite face base products from the brand.
First off we are starting with my favourite product that is a combo of skincare and makeup, it's the Maybelline Super Stay up to 24H Skin Tint Foundation + Vitamin C, £12.99. If you like a natural, glowy looking foundation rather than a full coverage formula then this is your new best friend. Made with Vitamin C to brighten and treat your skin while you're wearing it , this foundation gives you a natural, weightless finish. I love wearing this tint on days when my skin doesn't need a lot of coverage and this formula is buildable so some days you can wear it natural and other days build up for a medium finish.
Next up we have the glow in a bottle, it's the Maybelline Instant Anti Age Perfector 4-In-1 Glow Primer, Concealer, Highlighter, £12.99. This is Maybelline's multi-use product, not only does it add glow to your complexion but it can be used as a primes, conceals, highlights, and evens skin tone. I love using when alternatively to my Hollywood Flawless Filter, sometimes I'll use under my eyes before foundation to brighten or all over my face to add coverage / prime. I haven't used it as a foundation yet but I've seen some people using it as their foundation which if you had dry skin I think could wear really well.
Lastly, if a glowy face base isn't your thing or you want more of a fuller coverage I think you'll prefer the Maybelline Superstay 30hr Foundation with Hyaluronic Acid 30ml, £10.99. Unlike the previous 2 products this foundation is our matte option for those oily combo people out there. Personally I love this formula because yes it is a full coverage, matte finish but it's made with hyaluronic acid so it's protecting your skin while being worn. Though I love a lot of matte formulas I personally use this one the most because it is also transfer-resistant, water-resistant and sweat-resistant so if you have a problem with your makeup moving, your safe!
So there we go, you don't need to spend lot's of money to get great products and if you're shopping for drugstore makeup I really recommend checking out Maybelline because their newer products are amazing!!! As always all products mentioned are linked above.
Lot's of love,
Bella x x

hi!! i hope this isnt invasive but i saw your post and now im so curious, whats your skincare, hair care, and makeup routine??
omg babe i love u for asking this question<3333
skin care
If I'm wearing makeup then I'll double cleanse! I use the elf holy hydration cleansing blam and then the Cetaphil cleanser for oily skin (if not wearing makeup then only the Cetaphil cleanser)
i use rose water as my toner as all the other toners ive used give my skin a burning sensation which is bad
after that i use a salicylic acid serum at night and in the mornings i use vitamin c serum with a niacinamide sunscreen! I used to use a niacinamide serum but my fungal acne on my forehead got a little bad cause of summer so i switched to salicylic again
then i use moisturizer it's the water based one from Neutrogena it has fragrance tho so im wary while recommending it but i don't have any complaints until now and it makes my skin so plump and fresh!
lastly i use Vaseline on my lips and castor oil on my lashes
Hair care
I oil my hair a night before washing and i wash my hair twice a week i use coconut oil cause i genuinely can't stand the smell of other oils I've tried it gives me a headache 😭😭 but I'm thinking of using grapeseed oil once I'm done with this bottle
i sometimes use a rice water based hair mask if my hair feels very dry
I use the loreal professionel absolute repair hair shampoo and hair mask with protein and gold quinoa, my hair dresser recommended it to me and its working wonders!! Once in a month i use the dandruff treatment I've
After my hair is dried i use a hair strengthening serum from bare anatomy
Before sleeping i just comb my hair and tie it in a loose braid
makeup
okayyy so i start with a silicon based pore filling primer with a matte finish
then i use the maybelline age rewind concealer under my eyes and a little on my cheeks and all and then i let it rest on my face for 2 ish mins and then i blend it with a damp beauty blender
then if i want to wear blush I'll use that and then spray the nyx matte setting spray
then i do my eyes which is just eyeliner, khol and mascara.
Then i use the nyx setting powder and then i almost always either use the wet and wild brown lip liner and elf lip gloss in the shade praline or this berry coloured lip liner I've and the puff lipstick from nyx in the shade moody
if I've to do an eyeshadow look then i just do a smokey eye of some type or like dual coloured basic eye looks like the ones which require the least possible effort 🤭
ok this post is way to long now BUT u asked so <333

Mist Magic: Revitalize Your Skin with Top Facial Mist Sprays
In the ever-evolving world of skincare, the humble facial mist has emerged as a versatile and powerful tool in our beauty arsenals. These lightweight, refreshing sprays offer a range of benefits, from hydrating and soothing the skin to setting makeup and providing a quick complexion boost. As we navigate the demands of modern life, facial mists have become an essential part of many people's daily routines, helping to maintain a healthy, radiant glow throughout the day.
Tumblr media
The Power of Facial Mists
Facial mists are formulated with a blend of water-based ingredients, often infused with natural extracts, essential oils, and other skin-nourishing compounds. Unlike traditional toners, which can sometimes feel drying, facial mists provide a gentle, yet effective, way to hydrate and revitalize the skin.
Here are some of the key benefits of incorporating facial mists into your skincare routine:
Hydration Boost: Facial mists can help replenish moisture levels in the skin, especially during periods of dryness or environmental stress, such as air conditioning or cold, dry weather.
Soothing and Calming: Many facial mists contain ingredients like rosewater, aloe vera, or chamomile, which can have a soothing and calming effect on the skin, helping to reduce redness and irritation.
Priming and Setting: Certain facial mists are formulated to work as a makeup primer or setting spray, helping to prolong the wear of your cosmetics and create a smooth, radiant finish.
Complexion Refresher: A quick spritz of a facial mist can instantly revive the skin, providing a burst of hydration and a healthy, dewy glow, even throughout the day.
Versatility: Facial mists can be used at various stages of your skincare routine, from cleansing to moisturizing, and can be customized to address specific skin concerns.
Choosing the Right Facial Mist for Your Skin
With so many facial mist options available, it's important to select one that caters to your unique skin type and needs. When choosing a facial mist, consider the following:
Skin Type: Understand your skin type and choose a formula that will work best for your complexion. For example, those with dry or dehydrated skin may benefit from a mist with hydrating ingredients like glycerin or hyaluronic acid, while those with oily or acne-prone skin may prefer a mist with mattifying or clarifying properties.
Skin Concerns: If you're targeting specific issues, such as redness, dullness, or uneven texture, look for a facial mist that addresses those concerns. For instance, a mist with soothing ingredients like aloe vera or green tea can help calm irritation, while a mist with brightening ingredients like vitamin C can improve the overall complexion.
Ingredients: Scan the ingredient list and look for high-quality, natural components that will nourish and benefit your skin. Avoid facial mists with harsh chemicals, fragrances, or alcohol, as these can potentially irritate or dry out the skin.
Formulation: Consider the overall formulation of the facial mist, ensuring that it is lightweight, easy to apply, and doesn't leave a sticky or greasy residue on the skin.
Incorporating Facial Mists into Your Routine
Integrating facial mists into your skincare routine is a simple and effortless process. Here are some tips for getting the most out of your facial mist:
Cleanse First: Start with a clean, freshly cleansed face to ensure maximum absorption and effectiveness of the facial mist.
Mist Before Moisturizing: Apply your facial mist before your regular moisturizer, as the mist can help to lock in hydration and prepare the skin for the next steps in your routine.
Use Throughout the Day: Carry your facial mist with you and use it as a quick pick-me-up whenever your skin needs a refreshing boost, such as after a workout or during moments of stress.
Experiment with Layering: Some people find that layering facial mists, perhaps using a hydrating mist in the morning and a soothing or setting mist in the afternoon, can be particularly beneficial.
Chill It: For an extra refreshing experience, try storing your facial mist in the refrigerator for a few minutes before use. The cool temperature can provide a soothing and invigorating sensation on the skin.
Top Facial Mist Picks for Revitalizing Skin
Here are some of the best facial mists for revitalizing and rejuvenating the skin:
Rosewater Facial Mist: Rosewater is a natural toner and skin-calming ingredient that can help to balance the skin's pH, reduce redness, and impart a soft, dewy glow.
Green Tea Facial Mist: Infused with the antioxidant power of green tea, this type of facial mist can help to soothe inflammation, minimize the appearance of pores, and provide a refreshing burst of hydration.
Hydrating Facial Mist: Look for a mist that contains humectants like glycerin or hyaluronic acid, which can draw moisture into the skin and prevent it from drying out.
Multitasking Facial Mist: Some facial mists are formulated to serve as a primer, setting spray, and complexion refresher all in one, making them a versatile choice for every step of your routine.
Clarifying Facial Mist: For those with oily or acne-prone skin, a facial mist containing ingredients like willow bark or salicylic acid can help to mattify the complexion and minimize the appearance of blemishes.
Conclusion
Facial mist spray are the unsung heroes of the skincare world, offering a quick and easy way to revive, refresh, and revitalize the skin. By incorporating these versatile sprays into your daily routine, you can unlock a host of benefits, from enhanced hydration and soothed irritation to a long-lasting, radiant glow.
Remember, the key to getting the most out of your facial mist is to experiment and find the formula that best suits your unique skin type and concerns. Whether you prefer a calming rosewater mist or a complexion-boosting green tea blend, the right facial mist can be a game-changer in your quest for healthy, glowing skin.
So, embrace the power of mist magic and let your complexion bask in the rejuvenating benefits of these skin-loving sprays. Your skin will thank you for the refreshing and revitalizing boost they provide, day in and day out.

MAKEUP WITH SKINCARE
INTRODUCTION:
Tumblr media
The correct makeup routine order:
1.Use a CTM routine to prepare your skin.
2.Apply a primer.
3.Put a base in place.
4.Use a concealer to hide troublesome spots.
5.Put some blush on.
6.It's time to apply some eye makeup.
7.mascara, kajal, and eye liner.
8.Put on your go-to lipstick hue. Using a lip pencil is essential before applying lipstick.
BENEFITS:
There are many advantages to combining skincare and cosmetics in your beauty routine. These products are made to do more than simply make your face seem nice; they also work to improve the appearance and health of your skin at the same time. The following are the main benefits of using skincare-infused cosmetic products that are essential.
1. Flexibility
Using skincare products with makeup simplifies your beauty routine by eliminating two steps. You receive the nourishing benefits your skin longs for in addition to the coverage you want. For instance, you can use an almond oil-infused foundation to balance out your skin tone and benefit from the nourishing and moisturizing properties of almond oil for your skin.
2. Better Texture of the Skin
Ingredients including hyaluronic acid, salicylic acid, peptides, and others that help enhance skin texture are found in many hybrid makeup products.  Your skin can appear smoother, more youthful, and have less pigmentation and dark patches when you use makeup products that contain vitamin C.
3. Sunscreen
Certain hybrid items have sunscreens integrated into them to offer an additional degree of defense against UV radiation. The SPF rating of these sunscreen-infused makeup items helps prevent UV damage, much way vitamin C in skincare products does.
4. Hydration The formulation of cosmetic products includes ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, aloe vera, and ceramides to help keep your skin moisturized all day. Many cosmetic products with hybrid skincare ingredients claim tomaintain moisture levels in the skin because it's crucial for having healthy skin, makeup or not.
5. Extended Advantages
In fact, skincare products combined with makeup can promote healthier, more brighter skin when used regularly. This is because your skin troubles are taken care of even when you wear these hybrid cosmetic items.
Choose the appropriate cosmetics for your skin type:
Similar to skincare, there is no one-size-fits-all skincare and cosmetics routine. Different makeup application methods, materials, and formulae are needed for different skin types. Knowing what kind of makeup to use on your skin type—oily, dry, or a mix of the two—can make all the difference.
Tumblr media
Oily skin:
It is best to use non-comedogenic, lightweight, oil-free products on oily skin because they won't clog pores. Remember to wash your face twice before using any makeup.
Oily skin types frequently have apparent open pores. For this reason, pore-blurring primer is ideal for this type of skin. Additionally, choose a tinted moisturizer with a mattifying effect or a foundation with a matte finish. Use a compact or loose powder to set your foundation to ensure that your makeup does not run off. To keep extra oil under control during the day, use blotting papers.
Dry skin:
Select a moisturizing tinted moisturiser that will nourish and moisturize dry skin, or a dewy or satin finish foundation. Matte or powder-finish foundations should be avoided, as should powder-based makeup because it might draw attention to dryness. Use powder-based makeup sparingly. For a dewy look, use a hydrating fixing spray to finish your makeup.
Combination skin:
If your skin type is combination, with dry cheeks and an oily T-zone, use moisturizing products on your cheeks and oil-free, lightweight products on your T-zone. Likewise, choose a moisturizing foundation for the cheekbones and a matte texture foundation for the T-zone.
To be safe, use a mattifying primer after using a water-based moisturizer before applying makeup. Transparent powder is a better option for setting makeup because it is lighter and prevents cake-like effects. Use less highlighter if at the end of the day your skin appears greasy and shiny. If your cheeks are dry, use a liquid highlighter. Use a matte setting spray to finish your makeup.
Sensitive skin:
Check product labels for terms like fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, non-irritating, and anti-inflammatory if you have sensitive skin. Choose makeup that is based on minerals because these formulas typically don't include irritating chemicals or dyes and additives.
To prevent irritating your skin, remove your makeup with natural washing balms rather than wipes. Don't use too many active ingredients in your skincare products.
Acne-prone skin:
Use non-comedogenic products to prevent clogging your pores and escalating your acne if you have acne-prone skin. If you have dry skin in the areas surrounding your non-acneous acne, apply a cleanser along with a little scrub or exfoliant. Use a tinted moisturizer or a light foundation that contains benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, two substances known to combat acne.
Mineral-based makeup is another tried-and-true option for skin prone to acne. Steer clear of greasy, thick products that might block pores.

5 Ways to Use Aloe-Vera For Oily Skin
Aloe vera, a succulent plant known for its numerous health and beauty benefits, is a popular ingredient in skincare products. It is particularly beneficial for individuals with oily skin due to its natural astringent properties, which help regulate sebum production and absorb excess oil.
Here are five ways to use aloe vera to improve the health and appearance of oily skin:
1. Aloe vera gel as a toner
Aloe vera gel can be used as a gentle, oil-absorbing toner for oily skin. After cleansing your face, pat the aloe vera gel onto your skin using a cotton pad or your fingers. The gel helps to balance the pH levels of your skin, close pores, and reduce excess oil production. This natural toner can also help soothe irritation and redness caused by oily skin.
2. Aloe vera face mask for deep cleansing
Combine aloe vera gel with other natural ingredients like clay, honey, or lemon juice to create a face mask that effectively cleanses and absorbs excess oil from oily skin. Clay, for example, has excellent adsorbent properties, while honey has antibacterial and moisturizing properties. Lemon juice helps to balance the skin's pH and reduce sebum production. Apply the mask evenly on your face, leave it on for 15-20 minutes, and then rinse off with lukewarm water.
3. Aloe vera moisturizer for oily skin
Despite popular belief, individuals with oily skin still need to moisturize to maintain a healthy skin barrier. Aloe vera gel can be used as a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer for oily skin. Mix a small amount of aloe vera gel with a few drops of your favorite lightweight, non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging) oil, such as jojoba or rosehip oil. Apply this mixture to your face after toning and before applying makeup. This combination will provide hydration without clogging pores or increasing oil production.
4. Aloe vera spot treatment for acne
Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, making it an excellent ingredient for treating acne. Apply a small amount of aloe vera gel directly to pimples, blackheads, or whiteheads to reduce redness, inflammation, and bacterial growth. This natural remedy can also help speed up the healing process and prevent scarring.
5. Aloe vera as a makeup primer
Aloe vera gel can be used as a natural, oil-absorbing makeup primer for oily skin. Apply a thin layer of aloe vera gel to your face before applying makeup. This will create a smooth base, minimize the appearance of pores, and help your makeup last longer throughout the day. Additionally, aloe vera's soothing properties can help prevent makeup-related irritation.
Incorporating aloe vera into your skincare routine can provide numerous benefits for individuals with oily skin. However, it is essential to choose fresh, organic aloe vera gel or products that contain a high concentration of aloe vera to maximize its effectiveness. Always perform a patch test before using any new skincare product, including aloe vera, to ensure you don't have an adverse reaction. Remember that a consistent skincare routine, along with a healthy lifestyle, plays a significant role in maintaining healthy, balanced oily skin.
Aloe vera, also known as "the plant of immortality" or "the medicine plant," is a succulent plant species belonging to the Aloe genus and the Liliaceae family. Native to Africa and some parts of Asia, aloe vera has been cultivated for centuries for its numerous health and skincare benefits.
The aloe vera plant stores water in its leaves, which can be extracted to obtain a clear, slimy gel. This gel is widely used in various industries, including cosmetics, food, pharmaceuticals, and alternative medicine.
Here are some key benefits and uses of aloe vera:
Skincare: Aloe vera gel is rich in vitamins (A, C, and E), minerals, and amino acids, making it an excellent natural moisturizer and soothing agent for the skin. It helps in reducing inflammation, promoting wound healing, and alleviating sunburns.
Hair care: Aloe vera can be used as a conditioner, promoting healthy hair growth and reducing dandruff. It helps in maintaining the pH balance of the scalp and keeping it hydrated.
Digestive health: Consuming aloe vera gel or juice can aid in digestion by soothing the stomach lining and promoting the movement of food through the intestines. It is often used as a natural laxative.
Wound healing: Aloe vera has been found to accelerate the healing process of minor burns, cuts, and wounds due to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.
Oral health: Aloe vera mouthwash can help reduce plaque buildup, prevent gum disease, and soothe mouth ulcers.
Anti-aging: The antioxidant properties of aloe vera can help protect the skin from free radical damage, contributing to a youthful appearance.
Inflammation reduction: Aloe vera has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which can help alleviate symptoms of various inflammatory conditions, such as arthritis.
Boosting the immune system: Some studies suggest that aloe vera may help improve the immune system's function by stimulating the activity of natural killer cells.
Incorporate aloe vera into your daily routine by using it topically in skincare products or consuming it in moderation as a dietary supplement. However, consult with a healthcare professional before using aloe vera for medicinal purposes, as it may interact with certain medications or have side effects in some individuals.
Aloe vera is a natural ingredient known for its soothing, hydrating, and skin-regulating properties.
Here are five ways to incorporate aloe vera into your skincare routine for oily skin:
1. Aloe vera gel as an organic substance: After cleansing your face, apply a thin layer of pure aloe vera gel as a toner. Aloe vera helps balance the pH levels of your skin, reduces excess oil production, and provides mild hydration without clogging pores.
2. Facial mask: Mix aloe vera gel with ingredients like clay, oatmeal, or egg whites to create a face mask. These ingredients help absorb excess oil, unclog pores, and provide deep cleansing. Apply the mask to your face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water.
3. Moisturizer: For those with oily skin, using a lightweight moisturizer is essential. Mix aloe vera gel with a few drops of your favorite lightweight facial oil, such as jojoba or rosehip oil. Apply this mixture as a moisturizer to lock in hydration without making your skin greasy.
4. Spot treatment: If you're prone to occasional breakouts, use aloe vera gel as a spot treatment. Apply a small amount directly to the blemish to soothe inflammation and reduce redness. The gel's anti-inflammatory properties can help speed up the healing process.
5. Sun protection: Aloe vera gel can be used as a natural, non-greasy sun protectant. Mix it with zinc oxide, a physical sunblock ingredient, to create a DIY sunscreen. Apply this mixture to your face before going outdoors to protect your skin from sun damage.
Remember to patch test any new skincare ingredients, including aloe vera, before incorporating them into your routine to ensure you don't have any allergies or adverse reactions.

OKAY YES IVE GOT MY MAKEUP BAG IN FRONT OF ME LETS GO
okay step one is your base. not your primer, your skin baby. i wash my face only at night (i recently heard its counterintuitive to all the work your skin's been doing to wash it in the morning). i wash it with cold water twice, 30 seconds each time. first 30 gets rid of the grime, second 30 helps the glow (much like how you wash your hair twice).
vitamin-C serum and moisturiser. morning and night.
OKAY! MAKEUP! elf luminous putty primer first up. love this, swear by it, liberal use. on a day to day basis i'll wear this and skip the foundation. then rimmel match perfection concealer on any spots and eye baggies BUT DO NOT BLEND YET. LET IT MARINATE. while you wait, eyebrows. elf beauty strikes again with their brow lift and spoolie. seriously, an earthquake wouldn't move them. now you can blend in the concealer. next i use rimmel's match foundation. found the perfect shade, and that's not to be trifled with. before blending (i use a beauty blender), liberally spray whole face with a setting spray, which i use all through my routine. then i just use a dark shaded concealer as my contour, placing it on the high points of my forehead, tip of my nose, cupids bow, just under my bottom lip at the centre to create the illusion of big lips, a little dot between the end of my eyebrow and the outer corner of the eye, and then little dots tracing along the underside of the cheekbone (don't follow any tutorial, you have to follow your own bone structure). once again setting spray, then blend with a stiff brush, always in an upwards direction - trying to bring your face up, blend up. then i follow with blush, of which i use a combo. i love this zara cream stick, which i trace along the cheekbone. i use a two colour combo, first pink then this transluscent colour, which i carry around as a bit of a highlight touchup on nights out. more setting spray, then blend with a soft blush brush in round strokes, but still upwards (ALWAYS UPWARDS!) i'll then use a bit more concealer to brighten up the undereye, highlighter drops on the top of the cheekbone, the bridge of the nose, cupids bow, and inner eye, blending with the blush brush. white eyeliner on the bottom waterline to brighten it up, eye makeup with whatever drugstore palette i have in rotation, then mascara (yet to find a holy grail so whatever you have). then do a light bronzing all over with a rimmel one i love. finish with, ironically, a different setting spray, a finer mist. it's an elf one that's discontinued, but it's a stay all night, microfine setting mist, gives me a nice finishing glow.
that's it baby. that's the look. all drugstore products cause i'm a broke bitch, but damn they do some good dupes.
i've heard amazing things about the elf halo glow foundation, and the elf putty blush.

It's a good thing my family looks older slowly because I have no idea what the fuck retinol and collagen are for, I'm looking it up now and still don't quite get which one is supposed to help and why. Also vitamin c maybe? But it dries skin so maybe not?
All I know is my face likes oil (I use rose oil on my face daily because actual oil doesn't break me out or clog pores and is moisturizing enough to actually help me before the eczema breaks out, but lotions all of them give me acne and need to be applied like 3-4 times a day to keep my skin from getting too dry). And I don't have to wash off oil. And my face likes water, and hates soap and cleansers and pretty much any makeup remover I've ever tried (though micelar water is okay, and I have an oil based cleanser for when I wear makeup that's not water soluble which my skin mostly tolerates). So like... I pretty much only use water soluble eye area makeup (while some coverups/primers etc whatever the fuck they all are do come in water soluble varieties, my skin pretty much breaks out in painful acne no matter what I try... when I must wear cover up for some specific reason I use water soluble so it comes off better but I'm still going to have worse looking irritated skin once it's off), and my rose oil for moisturizer, and water to wash my face. I'm a simple person. I tried that 7 step skincare routine once so I own some toner now (aloe Vera and water based so it's water soluble and moisturizing but it still gives me acne and dry skin), some oil cleanser (which cleans off stubborn makeup like non-water soluble kinds but my skin is iffy about). But like I'm not made for priming, coverup, cleanser, toner, moisturizer, cover up, setting spray, powder, whatever else exists. My face skin can't even tolerate lotion (Aveno it tolerated best but still got painful acne from), so like. Emulsions and oils go well on me cause they're liquid and absorb and never need to be washed off the next day. Water soluble lighter stuff like eyeshadow works okay (since I rarely get acne on my eyelids and it comes off easy with water). But I'm not ever doing layers of anything on the face skin overall unless it's just absorbed and meant to (like face oils).
Which brings me to retinol, collagen, and vitamin c. I've got all 3 from sales. They're in bottles like my rose oil - so they look like a oil or emulsion I can just slap on then leave on. But retinol I think you may have to wash off the next morning or else you sunburn??? Collagen I don't know if you can leave on. Vitamin c you can leave on fine but I know i need oil afterwards since it is drying on the skin. And I know collagen and retinol are supposed to be anti aging/good for wrinkles but I'm not sure how. I just know somrtimes my face is dry and probably less elastic at those times so I'd like somrthing to help? Usually I just use rose oil, which works sometimes, but when the environment is drying my skin out constantly (I have eczema) my skin peels super easy on the face and flakes off and my skin creases up more and is less plump/elastic. I'm guessing it's some vitamin I'm missing in combo with skin predisposed to being super dry anyway. I know my skin Can be plump though and very smooth and soft to touch though because in weeks when my skins not getting super dry it glows and feels smooth and doesn't tend to settle into creases (since it's not dry as hell).
