with most toku i feel like for the first however many episodes i just watch whenever i feel like sitting down to watch something so i go pretty slowly and then at some point something clicks and i eat the rest of the series in about the span of a week. this to say i think ive hit that point with ryuki

In no particular order, I have now seen:

Lupat, Kyuranger, Zyuohger, Ninninger, Shinkenger, Kiramager, Goseiger, Gokaiger, Abaranger, Donbrothers, ToQger, Magiranger, Kakuranger, Hurricanger, Go-busters, Jetman, Boukenger, Timeranger, Megaranger, Carranger, Liveman and Go-onger. (also gonna count Strongest Battle for giggles...)

I have a few episodes left in Kyoryuger and Gingaman... Recently picked up Ohranger again... and I've seen around nine to twelve episodes of Zenkaiger for data purposes.

And of course I'm watching Kingoh as it comes out!

kingohger this week was in fact crazy good and now im watching the hurricanger vs abaranger movie and i dont know a damn thing about hurricanger except for the hamster. but i just know this movie is doing the two lady villains dirty. abarangers head writer strikes again

This ask totally isn't coming from the fact that I' currently binging Shinkenger and loving it.

But I also really like the idea of Mako and Magine setting up a play date and inviting any other sentai moms to join them for just an afternoon of gossip, tea, and watching kids get along while being cute. So who do you think would join and how do you think it'd turn out?

Lmao who doesn't love Shinkenger? It's actually one of my favorites, owing largely to the hugely charismatic cast, the amazing chemistry between them, the jidai geki trappings and the great story. It's definitely still one of the best Sentai ever.

Well, we have a bunch of canon Sentai moms with young(ish) children- Nanami of Hurricanger, Jasmine of Dekaranger, and Houka of Magiranger. They all have rapport with each other already (see Heroes Mama League). I'm not sure if anyone else since then has been revealed to have become a mom, though I can imagine a few possible additions- like Houka's sister Urara, who married before her. Amy Yuuzuki, maybe, though she hasn't become a mom yet.

Thought of some lore based on the thunder powers, overall I got stuff planned for that story. Need to really watch more Kakuranger and Hurricanger for lore planning.

over the past few days ive been catching up on some shows

first off, King-Ohger 26. can i just say i adore Desnarak? he’s been a very proactive villain from the beginning, always at the front lines, and as the show went on with the introduction of Jeramie and the like he’s been getting more and more developed, this episode being the breaking point of that.

love that the Bugnarak being misunderstood plot point was brought up with him too and wasn’t a clear black vs white, with Jeramie trying to understand him and get it through to him, and of course Jeramie’s own development of actually growing balls and taking actions appropriate for a king.

fucking love Tarantula Abyss too, love him. King-Ohger ZERO could never

then after sooo many years i came to finally finishing Gokaiger. my god all the tributes and the mentoring to the team was fantastic, the Gokaigers were so good and had a great dynamic, i was bawling and smiling by the final two episodes. i seriously love them all.

also watched the Donbrothers vs Abaranger special for the 20 years movie. ive missed these manic bastards so much, Saruhara is a particular favorite of mine. im not the most familiar with Abaranger, but AbareBlue’s constant chiropractry with the Tricera Bunker was so fucking good lmao. def gonna watch the movie when it comes out

now all i have left are the Hurricanger 20 years movie, finally finishing Kyoryuger, then Faiz, then after that some other Sentai maybe. ive really embraced being a Sentai fan this year, as i should
