MIKE: Oh, I'm sorry, have you met me?

GOLDEN FREDDY: Solidarity, sister.

ABBY: Let's do something scary!
MIKE: We could go to bed early and be alone with our thoughts.
•••
VANESSA: What could be giving you anxiety?
MIKE: Um, let's see...Every aspect of my life
•••
MIKE: You think that disapproving glare works on me after after all the times I've seen it?

ABBY: Please? For me?
MIKE: Okay.
•••
WILLIAM: Tell me what I want to know and I'll burn your house to the ground.
MIKE: Um, don’t you mean 'or'?

MIKE: Wait a minute! We don't go TOWARDS the scary sound!
ABBY: Yeah, we do. We always do.
MIKE: I really hate that about us

WILLIAM: I got bitten on my walk today by a Doberman

VANESSA: Do you know anything about my life?
MIKE: Good point.

MIKE: Did you know that cutting out caffeine from your diet can help eliminate over 60%...of your will to live?
•••
MIKE, dumping out a shopping bag full of Lunchables onto the table: Tonight, Abby, we feast.
•••
MIKE: Help! I'm drowning!
VANESSA: Calm down. We're only in five feet of water!
MIKE: NOT ALL OF US ARE TALL!

ABBY: Yes.
GOLDEN FREDDY: I'm starting to feel a little sorry for you.
•••
ABBY: Remember that time you dared me to lick that swing set?
MIKE: No. You said, "Wouldn't it be funny if I licked the swing?"
And I said, "Abby, don't lick the swing set." Then you replied, "Don't tell me what to do." And you licked the swing set.
•••
MIKE: This could work. All we need now is a bad cop.
VANESSA: I can do bad cop.
MIKE: I've only seen you do mildly irritated cop.
•••
ABBY: Did you lose your job because of me?
MIKE: Nah. The manager's a vampire and he wanted me to join his legion of the undead.
ABBY, under her breath: I knew it
•••
ABBY: In my defense, I was left unsupervised
VANESSA: Wasn’t Mike with you?
MIKE: In my defense, I was also left unsupervised
•••
[At Mike’s funeral]
WILLIAM, as Steve Raglan: *places his hand on Mike’s casket and sobs* How could you do this to me? We are so understaffed.
•••
VANESSA: You fainted. Do you remember anything?
MIKE: Only the ambulance ride
VANESSA: There wasn’t an ambulance. I drove you
MIKE: But I heard a siren?
VANESSA: That was Abby
ABBY: Sorry, I got scared
•••
VANESSA: Hey, guys, what are you watching?
ABBY: Kitten football. It came on and I’m invested. I think Mike’s getting into it too—Aww look. Snuggles fell asleep!
MIKE: SNUGGLES WAKE UP AND GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME!
VANESSA:
ABBY: I think we’re invested in the game for different reasons
•••
ABBY: A party is a celebration of a life, bringing people together to let the guest of honor know how much they're loved. Mike has done so much for us. This is our chance to do something for him.
VANESSA: By forcing him to have fun at a party that he doesn't want to be at?
ABBY: I knew you’d understand
•••
VANESSA: When we go out, I expect you to be on your best behavior
MIKE: That’s right. Listen to her, Abby
VANESSA: Mike, I was talking to you
••••
VANESSA: Where can I find this, “friend zone”? Because I need friends.
•••
ABBY: Do you guys have any healthy stress outlets?
MIKE: Screaming
WILLIAM: Murder
VANESSA: Manipulation
ABBY: Okay, screaming it is
•••
VANESSA: How are you feeling these days?
MIKE: Oh, much better now that I’m back in denial
•••
Movie!MIKE: Thirteen year old me would be both horrified and in awe of me
Game!MIKE: I'd punch thirteen year old me

I just remembered you haven't seen Twilight but I'm going to ask anyway! Do you know what teams your characters would be? Like team Edward or Team Jacob? Oh! Actually I'm also curious what Fandoms would they be in? I recent realized im a Bielieber
oh i have seen the first twilight movie!! i just wasn't a fan. but it was my best friend's favorite series so i do know a lot about it! was anyone actually team jacob? he's like gale in the hunger games. the only reason anyone would actually prefer them is because they're Not the main love interest (sorry to any galeheads out there...)
anyway now i want to imagine what fandoms each of them would be in, so:
🎭 caroline: well, she's a great artist and a monster fucker.. i don't think i have to spell out what she was doing online fjkjsdsj and she loved comic books as a kid, so i feel like at the start of the MCU madness she was really hype and then she got more and more angry with the state of things
💬 beth: she's written some star trek fanfiction more highly researched than her master's thesis and she loved nsync because what is a baby dyke without her emotional support boy band / comphet crushes
🎸 danny: music is the obvious answer, but i'm not familiar with musical history so i can't go into detail 😭 but his dad introduced him to bob dylan and taught him how to play guitar, then he learned piano, then he taught himself how to produce his own music from scratch. this was in the 90s btw so it wasn't very easy to learn. also he used to seriously follow skateboarding
⛅ mikaela: she loved old school country music from female artists like tanya tucker, reba mcintire, loretta lynn, etc. she's less interested in modern country but she looooves shania twain. and she's worked nights (first as a bartender, then a nurse) for most of her life, so she got really into daytime soaps
🌲 asa: he's literally the only one on this list where i'm like...... stumped. he doesn't pay attention to anything online, celebrities, music (he'll listen to whatever), movies (doesn't care), could never commit to watching a whole tv show, etc. he's very floaty and daydreamy? lmao he just doesn't have the headspace to get attached to fictional media like that
🎥 finn: we know he's always been a harrison ford fan boy and in any universe where he survives past the 80s he's a huge nirvana fan!! (if he and jules had a son, they would've named him kurt... he's deeply serious) he's also read every stephen king book that came out while he was alive. he was a big reader in general, particularly horror
🧸 stevie: canon seth rogen super fan, has seen every adam sandler movie (every last one of them) and i knowww she knows the fnaf lore... as soon as she finishes a show/movie she likes to find the weirdest fan art to terrorize her followers. also loves musicals and wants to see cats on broadway someday (a girl can dream)
🎀 elaine: she loves following celebrity news but she watches them like animals in the zoo; ie. she's observing from afar, she has no personal stake in them. she's a frequent flyer on gossip forums like fauxmoi. she was on the ground floor of lipstickgate and was SEATED for dramageddon. and she had a serious twilight phase
🎨 jada: SOMEONE on this list had to get assigned supernatural... i'm not saying it just to say it, i really think she would connect with (early seasons) sam what with the dead mom... fear of losing their humanity... having powers they don't understand... a hot girl manipulating them to use their abilities in sketchy ways... yeah. i'm sure she has favorite contemporary artists (painters specifically) that she'd be able to talk about on end but sadly i don't know anything about that world 😭 oh and she's kind of obsessed with hate-reading booktok books to feel alive
🏈 casper: sports count as fandoms and i don't want to hear a word about it!! his team is the patriots but he's kind of a fairweather fan (maine doesn't have an nfl team so he doesn't have that state loyalty factor). miley cyrus is his problematic fave forever but he's kind of a pop girlie in general
💋 coco: in high school she was a speedcuber if that gives you an idea of what we're working with here.... she grew up with pokemon, naruto, dragon ball z, she collected trading cards, etc. she still likes anime and video games and stuff, she just doesn't have the time to get invested like she used to, and it makes her sad because it reminds her of her late best friend liam. she makes time to play fortnite and minecraft with his little brother and she plays other games on twitch sometimes. has done a LOT of cosplay. she's a huge nerd basically

The Horror Genius of Five Nights At Freddy’s
I’ve been playing FNAF: Help Wanted VR on my Oculus Quest lately (a birthday present to myself -- I know I’m late to that party!) and it’s reignited in me my old love of this series. I know Scott Cawthon’s politics aren’t great, but I don’t think there’s any malice in his heart beyond usual Christian conservative nonsense -- and I think he stepped down as graciously and magnanimously as possible when confronted about it. Time will judge Scott Cawthon’s politics, and that’s not what I’m here to talk about. I want to talk about what makes these games so damn special, from a horror, design, and marketing perspective. I think there’s really SO MUCH to be learned from studying these games and the wider influence they’ve had as intellectual property.
Tumblr media
What Is FNAF?
In case you’ve somehow been living under a rock for the last seven years, Five Nights At Freddy’s (hereafter, FNAF) is a horror franchise spanning 17 games (10 main games + some spinoffs and troll games, we’ll get to that), 27 books, a movie deal, and a couple live-action attractions.
But before it exploded into that kind of tremendous IP, it started out as a single indie pont-and-click game created entirely by one dude, Scott Cawthon. Cawthon had developed other games in the past without much fame or success, including some Christian children’s entertainment. He was working as a cashier at Dollar General and making games in his spare time -- and most of those games got panned.
So he tried making something different.
After being criticized that the characters in one of his children’s games looked like soulless, creepy animatronics, Cawthon had his lightbulb moment and created a horror game centered on....creepy animatronics!
The rest, as they say, is history.
The Genius of FNAF’s Horror Elements
In the first FNAF game, you play as a night security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a sort of ersatz Chuck-E-Cheese establishment. The animatronics are on free-roaming mode at night, but you don’t want to let them find you in your security room so you have to watch them move through the building on security camera monitors. If they get too close, you can slam your security room doors closed. But be careful, because this restaurant operates on a shoestring budget, and the power will go off if you keep the doors closed too long or flicker the lights too often. And once the lights go out, you’re helpless against the animatronics in the dark.
Guiding you through your gameplay is a fellow employee, Phone Guy, who calls you each night with some helpful advice. Phone Guy is voiced by Cawthon himself, and listening to his tapes gives you some hints of the game’s underlying story as well as telling you how to play. A few newspaper clippings and other bits of scrap material help to fill in more details of the story.
Over the next set of games, the story would be further developed, with each new game introducing new mechanics and variations on the theme -- in one, you don a mask to slip past the notice of animatronics; in another, you have to play sound cues to lure an animatronic away from you. By the fourth game, the setup was changed completely, now featuring a child with a flashlight hiding from the monsters outside his door -- nightmarish versions of the beloved child-friendly mascots. The mechanics change just enough between variations to keep things fresh while maintaining a consistent brand.
There are so many things these games do well from a storytelling and horror perspective:
Jump Scares: It’s easy to shrug these games off for relying heavily on jump scares, and they absolutely do have a lot of them. But they’re used strategically. In most games, the jump scares are a punishment (a controlled shock, if you will) -- if you play the game perfectly, you’ll never be jump-scared. This is an important design choice that a lot of other horror games don’t follow.
Atmospheric Dread: These games absolutely deliver horror and tension through every element of design -- some more than others, admittedly. But a combination of sound cues, the overall texture and aesthetic of the world, the “things move when you’re not looking at them” mechanic, all of it works together to create a feeling of unease and paranoia.
Paranoia: As in most survival horror games, you’re at a disadvantage. You can’t move or defend yourself, really -- all you can do is watch. And so watch you do. Except it’s a false sense of security, because flicking lights and checking cameras uses up precious resources, putting you at greater risk. So you have to balance your compulsive need to check, double-check, and make sure...with methodical resource conservation. The best way to survive these games is to remain calm and focused. It’s a brilliant design choice.
Visceral Horror: The monster design of the animatronics is absolutely delightful, and there’s a whole range of them to choose from. The sheer size and weight of the creatures, the way they move and position themselves, their grunginess, the deadness of their eyes, the quantity and prominence of their teeth. They are simultaneously adorable and horrifying.
Implicit Horror: One of the greatest strengths to FNAF as a franchise is that it never wears its story on its sleeve. Instead of outright telling you what’s going on, the story is delivered in bits and pieces that you have to put together yourself -- creating a puzzle for an engaged player to think about and theorize over and consider long after the game is done. But more than that, the nature of the horror itself is such that it becomes increasingly upsetting the more you think on it. The implications of what’s going on in the game world -- that there are decaying bodies tucked away inside mascots that continue to perform for children, that a man dressed in a costume is luring kids away into a private room to kill them, and so forth -- are the epitome of fridge horror.
The FNAF lore does admittedly start to become fairly ridiculous and convoluted as the franchise wears on. But even ret-conned material manages to be pretty interesting in its own right (and there is nothing in the world keeping you from playing the first four games, or even the first six, and pretending none of the rest exist).
Another thing I really appreciate about the FNAF franchise is that it’s quite funny, in a way that complements and underscores the horror rather than detracting from it. It’s something a lot of other properties utterly fail to do.
The Genius of Scott Cawthon’s Marketing
OK, so FNAF utilizes a multi-prong attack for creating horror and implements it well -- big deal. Why did it explode into a massive IP sensation when other indie horror games that are just as well-made barely made a blip on the radar?
Well! That’s where the real genius comes in. This game was built and marketed in a way to maximize its franchisability.
First, the story utilizes instantly identifiable, simple but effective character designs, and then generates more and more instantly identifiable unique characters with each iteration. Having a wealth of characters and clever, unique designs basically paves the way for merchandise and fan-works. (That they’re anthropomorphic animal designs also probably helped -- because that taps into the furry fandom as well without completely alienating non-furries).
Speaking of fan-work, Scott Cawthon has always been very supportive of fandom, only taking action when people would try to profit off knock-off games and that sort of thing -- basically bad-faith copies. But as far as I know he’s always been super chill with fan-created content, even going so far as to engage directly with the fandom. Which brings me to....
These games were practically designed for streaming, and he took care to deliver them into the hands of influential streamers. Because the games are heavy on jump-scares and scale in difficulty (even including extra-challenging modes after the core game is beaten) they are extremely fun to watch people play. They’re short enough to be easily finished over the duration of a long stream, and they’re episodic -- lending themselves perfectly to a YouTube Lets Play format. One Night = One Video, and now the streamer has weeks of content from your game (but viewers can jump in at any time without really missing much).
The games are kid-friendly but also genuinely frightening. Because the most disturbing parts of the game’s lore are hinted at rather than made explicit, younger players can easily engage with the game on a more basic surface level, and others can go as deep into the lore as they feel comfortable. There is no blood and gore and violence or even any explicitly stated death in the main game; all of the murder and death is portrayed obliquely by way of 8-bit mini games and tangential references. Making this game terrifying but accessible to youngsters, and then marketing it directly to younger viewers through popular streamers (and later, merchandising deals) is genius -- because it creates a very broad potential audience, and kids tend to spend 100% of their money (birthdays, allowances, etc.) and are most likely to tell their friends about this super scary game, etc. etc.
By creating a puzzle box of lore, and then interacting directly with the fandom -- dropping hints, trolling, essentially creating an ARG of his own lore through his website, in-game easter eggs, and tie-in materials -- Cawthon created a mystery for fandom to solve. And fans LOVE endlessly speculating over convoluted theories.
Cawthon released these games FAST. He dropped FNAF 2 within months of the first game’s release, and kept up a pace of 1-2 games a year ever since. This steady output ensured the games never dropped out of public consciousness -- and introducing new puzzle pieces for the lore-hungry fans to pore over helped keep the discussion going.
I think MatPat and The Game Theorists owe a tremendous amount of their own huge success to this game. I think Markiplier does, too, and other big streamers and YouTubers. It’s been fascinating watching the symbiotic relationship between these games and the people who make content about these games. Obviously that’s true for a lot of fandom -- but FNAF feels so special because it really did start so small. It’s a true rags-to-riches sleeper hit and luck absolutely played a role in its growth, but skill is a big part too.
Take-Aways For Creatives
I want to be very clear here: I do not think that every piece of media needs to be “IP,” franchisable, an extended universe, or a multimedia sensation. I think there is plenty to be said for creating art of all types, and sometimes that means a standalone story with a small audience.
But if you do want a chance at real break-out, run-away success and forging a media empire of your own, I think there are some take-aways to be learned from the success of FNAF:
Persistence. Scott Cawthon studied animation and game-design in the 1990s and released his first game in 2002. He released a bunch of stuff afterward. None of it stuck. It took 12 years to hit on the winning formula, and then another several years of incredibly hard work to push out more titles and stoke the fires before it really became a sensation. Wherever you’re at on your creative journey, don’t give up. You never know when your next thing will be The Thing that breaks you out.
If you want to sell a lot of something, you have to make it widely appealing to a bunch of people. This means keeping your concept simple to understand (”security guard wards off creepy killer animatronics at a pizza parlor”) and appealing to as wide a segment of the market as you can (ie, a horror story that appeals to both kids and adults). The more hyper-specific your audience, the harder it’s gonna be to find them and the fewer copies of your thing you’ll be selling.
Know your shit and put your best work out there. I think there’s an impulse to feel like “well, nobody reads this anyway, so why does it matter if it’s no good” (I certainly have fallen into that on multiple occasions) but that’s the wrong way to think about it. You never know when and where your break will come. Put your best work out there and keep on polishing your craft with better and better stuff because eventually one of those things you chuck out there is going to be The Thing.
Figure out where your target audience hangs out, and who influences them, and then get your thing in the hands of those influencers. Streaming and YouTube were the secret to FNAF’s success. Maybe yours will be BookTube, or Instagram, or a secret cabal of free librarians. I don’t know. But you should try your best to figure out who would like the thing that you’re making, and then figure out how to reach those people, and put all of your energy into that instead of shotgun-blasting your marketing all willy nilly.
You don’t have to put the whole story on the page. Audiences love puzzles. Fans love mysteries. You can actually leave a lot more unanswered than you think. There’s some value in keeping secrets and leaving things for others to fill in. Remember -- your art is only partly yours. The sandbox belongs to others to play in, too, and you have to let them do that.
If in doubt, appealing to furries never hurts.
Do I take all of this advice myself? Not by a long shot. But it’s definitely a lot to think about.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go beat The Curse of Dreadbear.

Oh okay, so...
It's 6:28 am, and I was lucky enough to my phone in my bed yesterday, because I woke up after a pretty tensed dream almost nightmare and yeah... I'm terrified to move anywhere, even to drink some water.
It's nothing super bad, this dream was even fun, but my fear is irrational and I see all kind of screamers all over place.
Also I haven't watched any horror movies or play any scary games before bed, it's just appeared, so I will write it here to calm down a bit.
It was kinda about FNAF. Just in case I do know all the lore of all games except for the last game. From latest game I know that... Sunny and Moon exist (I have no idea how they actually act like) and that Glamrock Freddy is cute. And that there is Vanessa. That's all, literally I know nothing (because I still want to watch playthought one day, but I'm too scared)
So yeah, my dream. I have no idea, but somehow I ended up on a "zone" similar to SCP, where they contained anomalies. They couldn't move Sunny anywhere and the only way to contain him was to build a zone around this mall (and they did). Also Sunny wasn't the only one there, there was some others, like Rat - big animatronic rat that made food. Mostly out of human. Lizard which appeared sometimes, and someone else... But I don't remember. Anyway, there was a big, huge zone for kids with ball pools and stuff, really funny and actually pretty tall. Good light up by huge windows in the side too. It was mostly cake and sweets themed but had a jungle section too. Somehow me and some other people (all grown ups) ended up there and we all knew something about that anomaly place. It's pretty easy to get lost, because tunnels and panels change all the time, and there was a scary creature made of steel which killed people on sight.
We were trying to get out (and noone was helping us, because noone knew how to deal with Sunny except of "don't fucking enter his territory". So we are running, trying to be quite, we found a few decoys - pretty realistic dolls in a size of the kids, and that kinda scared us more and in the end they got killed, one by one, and one literally in front of my eyes. I closed my eyes and started crying And then someone took me with warm big hands lifted me and carried away. That was Sunny. Turned out that he looks in eyes of a person and sees are they grown up or not. And this place is not a place for grown-ups so he removes them (bodies too, he dumps them near exit). But if he can't see eyes he can't tell if it's a child or not, and thinks it's a child until proved otherwise. And also I was crying.
It was super scary at first, like omg and actual machine of killing holds me, but he was carrying and trying to play with me. And I did, because why not? I'm still neurodevergent butt with some childhood hyperfixations like ponies XD. I talked to him for a few hours and he protected me from Rat and brought a cheese sandwich for me. I was still a bit scared so I "manipulated" him a bit calling him my friend and then best friend. I was afraid and you know I was planning to use "you can't hurt your best friend" excuse if something went wrong, but we actually spent some good time together. And in the end I said that I want to go home and he brought me to the exit.
So that's how I was first ever survival in the Sunny zone. Then I remember being hired by SCP or something to actually study him and his behavior. At first I said no, because wtf, guys no money will pressure me to go there one more time. But in the end I agreed to go there because other people or got also too scared or failed acting like a child, and got killed, when I didn't need to act like I child I was acting like usuall, just not masking and having good time. And also that was a good opportunity to study Rat, because kitchen and Sunny's zone were covered and they weren't super successful in studying them too.
Also it was a nono in going in Sunny's zone at night because he changes at night to Moon, and even though they both kill people regularly, Moon was quicker and more aggressive. And also they suspected Moon to be another personality, so they might needed to experiment a bit with a way of dealing with him.
Anyway I went there and brought some of my ponies to Sunny. He was super happy, and one more time we spent some time together. At one point we were playing, and I got lost, and just called for him, and he came, climbed up to me and took me down (which showed that he can navigate around it no matter how much surroundings are changing around him). And there was a lot of hugs and small talks. I remember SCP guys and stuff were trying to make me do something bad or ask something I didn't want to (I had an earpods or something) but I just ignored them and refused)
And then everything got kinda blurry because I was waking up, but I remember incident when I was got almost killed by Rat, but one more time got protected by Sunny, and also another moment when SCP secured Rat and wanted me to talk to them, but they said nothing.
So yeah, this is my dream. I woke up super tensed and scared, but now I'm more or less fine, i will try to sleep now.

Reader w/wings hc's p.2: lesser- known egos/egos i just didn’t wanna put in the last one
Tumblr media
ty @fancybootm for the request!
A/N: IT’S BEEN A WHOLE ASS MONTH SINCE I GOT THIS I AM SO FUCKING SORRY. school is suck. anyways. my brain convinced itself that I had to have the same amount of egos in this one as the last one so shit's long again. I had a bit of trouble but scrounged up enough of them. uhhh I don't... we don't really know a lot? about the personalities of these ones? so I just went with what I thought. for Heistiplier, I like to think Mark in AHWM and ADWM is a completely separate person from Actor. Like until we get to the Actor timeline he is a separate person altogether. Night Guard Mark is like mark from the fnaf musical because i can and fuck you. the egos are very random and from many lesser known videos so uh. you might not know all of them. I didn’t even know all of them at first. some of these fuckers annoy me to no end so I had to make them more likable for my own sanity cjfufydy. I only skimmed through after I wrote so it might suck lol. Uh rated T for cursing. Mentions of religion and mental health. Enjoy!
Y/N(reader) w/ wings headcanons p.2
Ed Edgar saw you as a profiting opportunity.
Bastard only uses you for commercials at first
Wings sell shit, don’t they? Kids are into wings these days?
One day you get pissed and just punch him
He respects you after that…
He’s very loud, of course, and your ears tend to be sensitive
He tries to quiet down when he sees you make a face
It’s difficult because that… that’s just his normal volume
He talks about his son sometimes. Not to you specifically
He gets sad… you still don’t completely understand what happened.
Sometimes it feels like he doesn’t either
You instinctively wrap your wings around him for Safety and Comfort
He is a MAN who DOES NOT CRY but goddammit, he was close
He enjoys your company
The Silver Shepherd thought he was gonna rescue you
He’s a superhero, he HAS to save you, right?
Nah, you’re the one saving him more often than not
He tries not to be jealous, but goddamn
Your wings are just. So big. And pretty
He’ll complain to you about his girlfriend “cheating” on him
You know the bullshit he pulls, but you listen because why not
He appreciates that you at least pay a little bit of attention
He doesn’t do a whole lot of hero work, but he usually brings you along
Just for a bit of extra support
More often than not, you’re doing most of the work
You let him believe he did something, though
You boost his very low ego, and so you get along
Derek Derekson was a little bitch
Also saw you as a profiting opportunity
Yelled sometimes when you messed up
You took deep breaths and tried to stay calm the first few times
Then you snapped, calling him a variety of... words...
He stopped yelling at you, but not much else changed
You got along well with Eric, and he appreciated you for that
He does care about his only living son, at least a little
You two don’t… talk a lot
He’ll watch you from afar, occasionally
You constantly encourage him to TALK TO HIS CHILD and GO TO THERAPY
You still don’t like him, and he feels the same way
But he’s… trying
Randall Voorhees thought you were badass
He wasn’t as used to magic and weird shit as the others
You were absolutely awesome to him
He’d never seen an angel before!
Even though he didn’t really KNOW that you were an angel
He just assumed and refused to change his mind
Harder to hide you wings in crowded cities, like where he lives
You spend a lot of your time with him cooped up in his apartment
He felt bad, so he rents a mountain cabin up in Albany whenever you visit
You two ski and snowboard look me in the eyes and tell me the bitch isn’t a snowboarder
He’s a construction worker, so he’s usually busy
You visit him on his lunch break sometimes.
The other workers claim to see you, but he’ll always deny it
He buys a pizza whenever you visit and you eat it together
You two are so cute it’s sickening
Yandereplier claimed you as their new senpai
They saw you, you had wings, you were nice
And now you are Senpai
You aren’t sure why you get a weird feeling whenever they call you this
Luckily, you don’t have many friends, at least none that they could kill…
They showed you their weapon collection to impress you
You were scared and also impressed
They take you to a cherry blossom tree near their house
You talk and hang out and eat lunch
They don’t call you senpai anymore and they talk to you normally
And you no longer stare at the blood on their uniform
Night Guard Mark prayed you wouldn’t try to kill him
He might have PTSD from Freddy Fazbear’s
Those animatronics left a mark…
It took a little while for him to trust you not to harm him
When he did, HOO BOY is he a chatterbox
He has so many theories about the Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Chain
Dark’s told you not to talk about the actual lore. It might break his spirit
You get very worried sometimes
He looks like that one picture of Charlie Day. You know the one.
Sometimes he gets panic attacks
You wrap him in a cocoon of your limbs and wings to ground him
He likes you for that
You hang out, playing games and watching movies. No horror. Absolutely NONE
You can handle him, and he likes you
Dr. Plier was curious about you
He wondered how you felt about… everything
He asked if you were ok one day and you broke down
He felt guilty and bought you ice cream
He sees you as a sort of… psychological experiment
Like he asks you very strange and slightly personal questions
Ok, very personal, but he’s a therapist, what can you do
He eventually stopped the interrogation and talked to you normally
You get along fine, but it’s kind of the same situation as Dr. Iplier
Chef Iplier wasn’t really all that phased
You were surprised by this because… well… wings
But he just… treats you normal, for the most part.
Sometimes he’ll pet your wings, but only if you let him
He loves how soft your feathers are
He doesn’t make that his entire perception of you
It’s a nice change of pace
He tries to cook for you sometimes, but uh. It doesn’t go well
You’re still confused as to how someone can set a glass of water on fire
You mostly just order take out
You hang out like normal people
Which neither of you are, but you’re both fine with that
Paranormal Investigator Mark is obsessed with figuring you out
Nearly had a panic attack when he first saw you
He wanted to prove the supernatural exists, but he didn’t have a lot of evidence before
And then your mystical-ass came along
Like the Jims, he tried to get pictures, and they all ended up blurry
He threw a fit over it, and you felt kinda bad
You tried to take the picture yourself but it came out the same
He gave up after a while
He info dumps about paranormal stuff to you
It can last from 5 minutes to 5 hours
You do pay attention though, and that makes him happy
He takes you on investigations sometimes
You don’t do much except break shit with those giant wings of yours
He stopped taking you on investigations
Cooliplier is not sure what to think
You have wings! Great! There’s absolutely nothing he can do about that
Not the most normal, but not the weirdest either
He tends to put on a tough-guy persona around new people
You were a lil intimidated
Then you became friends and mans did a full 180 around you
Went from “Your daughter calls me daddy too” to “I’ll have her home by 9 sir”
His personality is sort of a mix of the two
Catch you both screaming the lyrics to Mr. Brightside at 12:00 am
Took you to a mosh pit once
You got kicked out cause of the wings
He felt bad, but you had fun
He teaches you how to dance and roller skate
You also go for rides on his motorcycle
Once you just started flying while he was driving and it was the most fun shit ever
You’re “buds”, as he often tells you
Goopiplier likes you a lot
They like having another not-completely-human creature to talk to
I mean, some of the others aren’t exactly human…
But they’re not the best conversationalists…
Then again, neither is goop.
They mention the Dark Gods ONCE and suddenly no one wants to talk to them…
But you do!! Yay!!!
You mostly just hang out, do whatever
Watch movies, play games, or just talk
They like to draw you
They’re not very good, but you keep them all anyways
Sometimes they do… rituals. While you’re around
You are… a little scared, but that’s okay!
You have sleepovers and act like teenagers
You mock the others and then giggle, getting louder as you go
They’re not that funny, but you had to be there
Elder Jeremiah is terrified of you
He nearly pissed his pants when he saw you
He thought he was finally going to have to pay for his sins
He started crying, and you panicked
Why the FUCK was this 20-something-year-old well-dressed man crying at you???
He dropped his bike and fell to his fucking knees and begged for forgiveness
You felt very uncomfortable with the whole situation
You told him to get up bc he was dirtying up his pants
He eventually stopped crying and you told him you were not an angel
Also not a demon, as you said when he asked
He avoids you, mostly, still thinking you’re gonna drag him down to hell
He stopped the uh. The stealing since you came around
He will hang around/with you sometimes to see if you “reveal your true form”
You haven’t yet, and never will, BUT WHEN YOU DO, HE’LL BE THERE
He does think you’re very nice, though
Preistiplier thinks you’re an angel sent to assist him
He is doing holy work, it only makes sense that He would send a helper
He was disappointed, to say the least
He then came to the conclusion that you lost your memory of being an angel
You couldn’t exactly dispute it, since you don’t remember
So, he takes you on hunts
You don’t do much except make a bunch of fucking NOISE with your WINGS
He’d hoped you’d smite the demons
Or at least scare them, but they know you’re not an angel
He still takes you on hunts because, he’d never admit it, but he… gets scared
You promised not to tell a soul
You confess your sins to him sometimes
They’re usually not what he considers sins, but he listens anyways
He thinks you are a good person, and he enjoys conversations with you
Heistiplier was just normal around you
Well… as normal as he can be
You’d enjoy his company a lot more if he didn’t have such a god complex
You still like him a lot
He likes you too
Even if you did refuse to rob a bank with him
He’s a very… exciting person
Though you don’t really want to be around him when he gets upset
The entire world literally seems to revolve around what he does
He’s a drama queen, and completely feral
It’s worrying at times
You two are normal friends
Playing video games, watching youtube, etc. etc.
You listen to his stories and wonder how he's not dead yet
But you can admit, he's really fucking funny

Out of Order Love
Chapter Twelve: What if I’m Wrong?
tomhollandxreader
Summary:  It was meant to be a fun time in Vegas. Spending time with the best friend and celebrate getting done with college to turn the page to a new chapter in life. If only (Y/N) realized she would be turning a few extra pages by accidentally marrying her favorite actor.
Word Count: 1975
Part 1  Part 2  Part 3  Part 4  Part 5  Part 6  Part 7  Part 8  Part 9  Part 10  Part 11
Tumblr media
"I don't care what time it is here, please call or text once you get to London." I tell Tom as I pull into the airport at six in the morning.
"If it's not late here I'll call, but if it is I will text, I promise." Tom says squeezing my hand. He smiles at me then lets out a breath before pulling me slightly to him to hug me as best as he can in the car.
"Tell everyone I say hello as well, if you don't mind." I bury my head into the crook of his neck and he squeezes me tighter, pressing a quick kiss to my temple.
"I will." He pulls away and lets himself out of the car. He turns and looks at me after he grabs his suitcase from the back seat. "Have a nice week, love. Don't miss me too much." He jokes, giving me a weary smile. I blow a kiss and wave. Tom returns the gesture, turns, and walks inside, but not before looking back at me one more time.
I sigh and watch as he disappears into the building before putting the car back into drive and heading back to the highway. Now that I am alone, the first time in a very long time, I groan at the silence. With heated hands, I quickly turn on the radio and flip stations to find something to listen to. The first station is playing "Hard to Be Cool" by Joe Nichols, and as much as I love that song I feverishly switch stations again. The next station is playing "Shotgun Rider" by Tim McGraw. "Seriously?" I grumble switching stations again. The third station is playing "Fallin' for You" by Colbie Caillat. Groaning louder I switch stations again, now it's playing "Superman" by Rachel Platten. I shut off the radio and say "Okay Google," my phone pings in the cup holder, "Shuffle Music playlist." The phone pings again before the playlist starts. After a minute, "A Guy that I'd Kinda Be Into" from the Be More Chill musical blares through the speaker. "Son of a bitch!" I screech as I turn off my phone as well. Well, no music today, but God it's too quiet. Once I pull into the driveway I go in and play Markiplier's FNAF playlist just to drown out the silence. I clean up the dishes from the night before, throw in a load of laundry, and take a long, hot shower. I glance at the clock seeing that it is now eleven, finally I give in and pull my phone from my back pocket and call Jamie.
"Oh my gosh, what's wrong?" Jamie's voice comes out of the receiver rushed
"Hey, Jamie, nothing's wrong." I laugh shaking my head.
"Oh, I figured there was something since you usually just text me. Uh, so what's up?"
"Just have a question." I say as I lean on the counter.
"Shoot."
"Can you hang out today? I really need to talk to someone about something, it's really important."
There is a short pause, "Do I get context?"
"When you come over...?"
"I'll be right over." She chirps, the sound of her moving around is muffled through the phone.
"You're the best," I sigh, "see you soon."
"Bye! Love you!"
"Love you too!" I hang up and blow air through closed lips. It's now or never, I guess. I take Tess outside on the deck and watch as she moves from one end of the fence to the other. After she looks up at me and follows me back inside. "What to do, what to do..." I mutter as I waltz back into the kitchen and pull out some frozen strawberries and throw them in a glass bowl with warm water to start thawing them, as well as frozen bananas. A knock from the front door causes Tess to bark and go investigate. "The door is open, Jame!" I call, thankful that I don't have to busy myself anymore.
"Hi." Jamie calls, letting herself in. "Is it just you?"
"Yeah, Tom flew to London to visit family. I'm in the kitchen by the way."
Jamie comes and joins me, Tessa following closely behind her licking her hand occasionally. Jamie hugs me as I pull the blender out from the corner counter. "So you have the house to yourself this week?"
"Yup," I place the ingredients into the blender and and the sound fills the air.
"What did you want to talk about?" Jamie yells over the blender mixing our smoothies.
"Uh, let me finish this then I can explain."
"Is it about Tom?" She questions as I pull the pitcher off the machine to pour it into glasses. I look up at her and nod. "Is it bad?"
"No," I pause, "yes? I don't know. I have to explain from the beginning for you to understand." I hand her the glass and motion for her to sit with me on the couch. Once I do, Tess joins us and lays her head in my lap. Jamie motions me to continue. "Okay, so what I am about to explain to you, you cannot repeat."
"Just between the two of us." She nods.
I nod back, taking a breath. "I lied, Tom and I didn't fall in love in Vegas, we got completely wasted and ended up getting married by accident." I pause to watch her face, but she just looks at me so I continue, "This whole marriage is because it would have messed up his career so we played the part, bought a house, and everything else. The plan had been that we did this for three months then stage a falling out, we could go on with our own lives after that." I lay my head on the back of the couch, "We are almost into our third month now, so it's almost over-"
"But you don't want it to end." She says understanding.
"I mean," I look at her. "You know I had a celebrity crush on him, but now that I know him it's completely different. He's-" I stop and let out a shaky laugh- "He's everything I had ever wanted in a guy. We talk about everything, he is always there for me. Hell, Jamie, I don't even think I might be in love with him, I know . And-" I shake my head and set the smoothie back on the coffee table so I can wipe my tear filled eyes- "And after this month the divorce papers are supposed to come in and I am going to have to sign them because, God, I can't hold him back from his life."
"Have you talked to him about this?" Jamie says moving closer, "Maybe he feels the same?"
"But what if he doesn't, I mean, he might." I look down at Tessa, she lifts her head to lick a tear from off my cheek and snuggle into me in her own way of telling me not to cry. "Him and I talked about sleeping separately once we moved in, but that never happened. And even in private he calls me pet names, or hugs me from behind, or kisses me on the cheek when I tell him I am going to bed early..." I let out a wet laugh, whipping my eyes again and tucking a strand of hair behind my ear, "But he is an actor, what if he just so happens to be playing the part?"
"(Y/N/N)," I look at her to see the softest smile adorning her features. "He couldn't stop talking about you when we went out last week for that dress. He was talking about all the nights you would get home and just plop on the couch with him or movie nights or just messing with him to get a rise out of him. He looked so in love, (Y/N/N)."
"I just can't, I don't know, I can't get my hopes up because if I misinterpreted anything and he doesn't, I am going to be so lost. I mean, he could have any girl he wants, and right now he's stuck with me."
"Any guy would be lucky to be stuck with you! You're (Y/N) freaking (Y/L/N)!" Jamie yells, playfully, making me laugh, before her face becomes serious again. Jamie grabs my hand and holds it, "Who knows about this?"
"About me being in love with him? You. About this whole situation in general? Haz, Emily, and Tom's manager."
"Just talk to him, I doubt he won't feel the same way."
"And what if you're wrong?"
"Then you just have to know that you have people who are going to be here if that happens."
I smile at her and pull her into a hug. "Thanks, Jame, I really needed to talk about this."
"Anytime, now," she pulls away, clapping her hands, "I think we need a rant session."
"Oh, God, do I have some stories for you."
-
"From what you've told me, (Y/N/N), that guy would have to be stupid to think he doesn't love you." We had gone from our usual rant session of talking about weird co-workers, crazy customers, and even more awkward encounters with people from high school to me telling Jamie about some of the things that had been happening between Tom and I behind closed doors.
I laugh and shake my head. My phone goes off in the kitchen where it is plugged in. Jamie laughs as I nearly fall while running over to grab it. I flip it over, and see a dorky picture I had gotten of Tom while he had been trying on a pair of scrubs from my closet. I answer excitably, "Tom!"
"Hey, baby!" I feel my face heat up at the pet name, "I made it here safe and sound. Sam came and picked me up so I am all good."
"Thanks for letting me know."
"How are you? Did you do anything fun today?"
"Just hung out with Jamie, she is actually still here-"
"Oh, then I will let you go. I don't want to take time from that. Give Tess a hug for me?"
"I will," I giggle leaning on the counter. "Get some sleep, Tom."
"I will, bye, love."
"Bye" I murmur taking my phone with me back to the couch.
"I don't even need to ask who that was." Jamie giggled
"He was just letting me know that he made it." I glance down at my phone seeing that I already had a text message.
Current Husband
I just realized that I am going to be all alone tonight, neither of my girls will be with me.
I will never fall asleep.
The Wife
You will, just might take a bit
Current Husband
Is it bad that I miss you already?
The Wife
How will you last when you go back to filming?
(The house is so quiet without you honestly)
Current Husband
I won't.
I will leave you be now, have a good night, love
The Wife
I hope you fall asleep soon.
Enjoy your trip
-
"Hey, Jamie?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you have plans tomorrow?" I look up from my phone to look at her.
"No, why do you ask?"
"I think I need to go shopping tomorrow, and I was hoping you would come with me?"
"Yeah, what for?"
I smile and look at my phone screen at a series of pictures that Tom had taken on my phone one day I wasn't keeping track of it. Most were of him making silly faces with a few of Tessa thrown in there. I stop at the picture when I had realized he had taken my phone. It was blurry, but I could easily make out me chasing Tom around the living room, his mouth open from laughing. "A ring."

9:28 am so waited a bit but was looking on my dashboard. Even missed the submit button a bit whatever some Infinite gif I almost reblogged.
Again I had got out of the shower and I was thinking about this.
Honestly me enraged about the custom character the concept of it in Sonic Forces. Basically Buddy The Wolf that's been seen in official trailers also lots of people draw him.
Including I tried my best didn't get the green mic actually and finished the game without that. Yet I tried my best to make the character look like that. Because I had such a distaste for the idea of it. Including I didn't wanna be original and despite random shit in my head still being negative about the custom character.
Honestly and I might spoil stuff of Sonic Generations maybe. Really the role Buddy is put into is basically what I've wanted for an idea in a Sonic game.
Including the idea of someone new trying to stand up for what's right and Sonic being the big reason why anyone would keep going. Because of how his attitude and his outlook on life inspires people.
So those are possibly spoilers yet was gonna talk about this. Almost start it twice this paragraph and a new one what I wanted to type.
Honestly I always had this idea. Mainly instead of a custom character that's an animal like the others. It's basically a human a young adult mainly. Where the role is basically similar or kind of or is in Buddy's role.
I've been thinking that human part because it's possible that Sonic movie might have a main human character but I like it to be secondary to Sonic. Including the idea of this human being a badass able to use weapons and destroy Eggman's robots. Including I keep thinking examples of humans to be inspired from right now like Chris Redfield and Leon S Kennedy from the Resident Evil series. Also others yet those two have been on my mind because I like Resident Evil and it's been on my mind too.
Also it's because some humans have a track record of not being liked by a lot of fans. But I mainly speaking about Chris Thorndyke and Princess Elise while I honestly don't hate them. Including this year I learned they aren't that bad honestly like them a bit. But they aren't my favorites.
I thought the idea of a human who can take care of themselves and fight alongside Sonic would help people stop thinking humans suck in Sonic except Eggman or whatever.
Yet I have thought of the idea back firing because I can imagine people's reactions. I've been thinking of this for a long time and forgot if I wanted to talk about it.
Basically I can see people giving their honest thoughts and figure out why making a human character a badass doesn't work to appeal to people.
Talking about having a human character being given a gun and kick ass with Sonic doesn't automatically make them a better character. Making them a soldier or someone who can fight isn't gonna make them better then the likes of Princess Elise or Chris Thorndyke no hatred towards them. The character could ether suck or even be worse then them. I'm saying this if this actually happens. About a character could be worse if you of your own opinion didn't like previous characters.
What matters is the writing behind the characters. Their personality, their story, and what they mean towards to the main story too.
Honestly at times I keep thinking like a first person shooter or third person shooter gameplay. Maybe similar to the likes of Titanfall, Killzone, the Left 4 Dead series or the likes of the Resident Evil franchise mainly 4, 5, and 6, Dead Space or others. Basically been thinking Titanfall and Resident Evil. Or even Doom or yes Halo for that matter. Yes I mentioned Doom because been playing the original like yesterday and need to play the reboot again which is awesome since the game is now fully installed.
Yet with how Sega and Sonic Team are going. Despite Shadow The Hedgehog was made his game. It would be difficult probably to make gameplay like that. Because they don't seem to be at a stage now where they will do that.
Including in a weird way to be honest thinking of it I'll say it. The idea of it seems almost like self insert some what yet at times I didn't think that mainly just to fill the human thing. But I have put certain things like an Autistic character because I'm Autistic too for the character.
Just trying to remember anything. But also yeah I wanted to talk about this. Even thinking of the song Fist Bump while not my favorite. Yet when in the shower I kept hearing it in my head.
Honestly the way the song is written. It's kind of meaningful since listening to it, the song seems to be about Sonic and the custom character Buddy including how this song has a upbeat style to it. Basically in a way being inspiring unlike compared to Infinite's theme which I adore despite what the Shadow DLC showed and the main game too. Being a lot more serious and maybe less inspiring.
Honestly wanna mention this silly thing so a self insert played by KJ Apa at times one of the choices. Basically wanna make a post and jokes about Archie Andrews fights with Sonic the hedgehog, joins the Helghast from Killzone, fights the Chimera from Resistance, be casted as Jeremy Fitzgerald from FNAF and ward off animatronics, and be cast as Leon S Kennedy his younger self from Resident Evil 2 for that Resident Evil movie reboot universe if they stick to the games more. Yes that's a fan cast of mine.
Yes I watch and like Riverdale also it's this joke with I keep thinking Jughead going ARCHIE WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN DOING BEHIND OUR BACKS
Honestly I like the actor and thought of him other things didn't say all of them.
So now with Sonic Forces out and my opinions being mixed. Including honestly I have thought of this when I was in the shower and afterwards. Basically the custom character is something I......seemed to like the best or just.....maybe more.
My friend fatpinkraccoon not gonna use the mention thing told me last night and replied to a message from him I didn't message because went to bed early by mistake. He told me Somecallmejohnny made a review and I thought seriously that was quick. Yet the game is honestly short. Including him talking about how the franchise needs new people behind it.
Yet I forgot if it was him respelt quick and put back the period in last paragraph. But sorry ticks yet I forgot if it was him I'm not risking getting out of this. But he might of said the custom character was the better parts of the game. Even with my mindset being negative.
But after being disappointed with other parts of the game. While gameplay is fun and enjoyable, the soundtrack is great and I've talked about more about this. It's the story I have a problem with. Including remembered that he told me not to have false hopes basically after I told him I'm not gonna hyped for a Sonic game after this.
Including him saying that even if Sonic Mania had fantastic reviews doesn't mean Sonic Forces would get any and he said he knew.
Also I wanna say this is basically my character development now. Me realizing the custom character is basically a form of something I wanted but not as a custom character. Yet the role of Buddy goes through things I like basically the concept of it said nice in head. While a lot of other things said everything in head but no not everything and random negative thoughts.
Basically the custom character seems to be the golden child of some sorts being in the mess of things. With some good stuff and bad stuff or just mixed stuff.
Even in my head I had thought of I never want the custom character again. Or the fact it might return honestly no it didn't suck.........
Was thinking I'm going to say that after my head said it sucked.
Really I am a hypocrite. While I have played other games where characters can be customized. Honestly theirs more whether story or not. Fine such as some Lego games, the Soul Calibur series I've seen people mentioned in a post about w certian c word I hate.
Yet the one game where I remember the custom character always goes to my head. Is basically the customization from Halo Reach where you play as Noble Six. Yet instead of a canon look or one that's seen in the trailers you get to customize the Spartan. Even also almost left work instead of look when talking about canon looks.
Basically you get to customize Noble Six. Even just looked forward for some reason. Basically the ending I don't wanna spoil it is a sad one almost left the word dad.
Okay in a way Halo Reach with that is something similar to Sonic Forces. Where your character is in cutscenes, in gameplay, and even people making versions of Red Vs Blue characters. The last season I've seen was season pressed some Google icon yet season 11 the series is funny but haven't seen it since despite it still going on.
It's amazing how my younger self seemed to not mind and liked customizing a Spartan yet Sonic it's the worst thing ever. Basically I had a hate on for the character being disgusted by it and just....I feel it be weird to compare it to a racist but okay back shook a bit.
Yet honestly the gameplay was enjoyable. But mainly played with the burst weapon just the drill isn't my favorite see just....I'm rambling.
The idea of the custom character returning oh negative thoughts. I just don't know may be nice just......
Sorry basically after wards nice or....I said that in my head.
Basically the custom character Buddy had a role I thought would like in any Sonic media and I hated it because I had false hopes like my friend said. Now that's what I remembered.
Think I should be done basically despite my head at times. I'm just so used to hating on the custom character it stuck with me maybe HOPEFULLY over time I be less hateful on it.
I kept retyping l and y for hopefully. Yet I'm so used to hating on the character and I want to like it more as time goes on. Maybe playing the game more. Yet the thought of making my own character no.
Yet I did with Buddy and....since thought in my head of changing it I've been thinking. Yeah I'm honestly attached to the Buddy The Wolf look we've been given that I don't want to change the character I hated the thought of changing it that one thought I don't want to lose Buddy.
Now okay theirs character development of me. Along with I should mention while I complained and critized of Buddy not talking and just.....I'm a fan of Doomguy and he's probably or one the original imagine yourself as the character those kinds of characters. Including how his actions speak louder then words. Also even other some what silent protagonists. Including I was talking about the main character from Doom.
Got tags done just don't take took off Sonic Forces spoilers and put it at the end almost took off the one before that. These mentions are getting stupid.
Seriously the game has been an emotional rollercoaster and my supposedly character development warming up to the custom character is coming into more of a reality even with my mindset 10:28 am just sorry have issues
