OK WOW I WAS LIKE. 99.9% SURE YOU WERE MOD OLIVER FROM THAT BLOG. LET ME EXPLAIN WHY AND HOW I REACHED THIS CONCLUSION.

i was bored as hell and didnt feel like sleeping so i looked up old kin drama blogs. i found some anti kinsdrama blog from 2017. then hours later after i slept i looked up kinsdrama on the internet archive and dug through every single snapshot of said blog because i had nothing better to do. on the page 12 snapshot from august 30 2016 someone by the name mod Asriel posted the urls of three of the mods' main blogs. Said mods were Mod Oliver, Mod Roy and Mod Eno. Mod Oliver's blog's name was nyasshole and since i had nothing better to do i looked up nyasshole on tumblr and found several posts with the tag "nyasshole". Some of those posts tagged with nyasshole were asks from you so this led me to believe that you were mod Oliver.

Also apparently someone called out Mod Roy for attempted murder back in like 2019 idk but i think they didn't actually try to murder anyone and it was a made up allegation. Mod Roy was the person that made that one "late 2016 kin memories" post that became really popular in 2019 and you may have seen it before.

i did not know about mario4realjustice though. sadly it's not on the wayback machine so i cant dig through it :(

for the theme: from the water

bdubs species starts out as a tiny patch of wet moss on rocks, commonly found in and around rivers or lakes. as they age, their rock becomes more and more akin to a living being, an extension - the central nerves start breaching inside the stone. fairies born of moss, they call them in folklore.

a storm breaches the meadowlands in which bdubs resides on a pebble, surrounded by his kin, and he gets separated from them, carried away by water. he does not know how much time passes when he finds himself soaked and unable to move.

it is only then, weeks later, at the beach of a lake, a human picks him up, inspects him. the human, a hermit, does not know what they have picked up. out of desperation bdubs decides to do what moss fairies are forbidden from doing, from even thinking about: he begins the process of transforming his body into what resembles human structure.

"how dare you human pick my rock up? and to carry me somewhere, no discipline!"

gem, ever the curious deer hybrid she is, opens her basket only to see long ears, wings thin as washi paper and a very angry complexion matched with crossed arms.

"a moss fairy!"

Bdubs did not put all those effort in just to be called cute! He's not adorable! Stop 'aww'ing over him, this is a serious offence!

Gem agrees to help him find his home but... They spend the day walking in circles with no success. Gem has to call it when it starts getting dark, but promises her friends might be able to help! They're all very smart.

And even they can't seem to find it. Their worst fear is the meadowlands and community of fairies has been washed away, spread apart by the water. That there's nowhere for Bdubs to go back to.

And it hurts. Bdubs won't show it, besides being snappy, but... It hurts a lot. He thinks, as he spends more time with the hermits, though that... Maybe he has a new family here?

confession when i was 13 i was in a homestuck kin discord and a acquaintance who was (also) kin with karkat really hated the mod of a homestuck art server because the mod (bakugo kin) had banned him for ?? something or other. so he (the karkat) convinced me and a couple of other friends to send anon hate to bakugo in retaliation. and i thought this was kind of overkill and didnt really want to send anon hate so i sent the lamest most wishy washy possible criticism and the mod (bakugo) found it so stupid that they made it into a vaporwave aesthetic post. and thats the first and only time ive ever sent anon hate

Higurashi When They Cry Hou Ch. 8 Matsuribayashi pt. 66

I guess we’ll see if this is the second part of my prolonged essay about how I feel characters get done dirty in the finale.

But the thing about the idea that she’s ruining the work of Hifumi Takano is the fact that that is blatantly untrue. There was a letter, note, journal entry in Minagoroshi where Hifumi basically begs Takano to make something of herself, to attain godhood by her own hands. To achieve some level of influence or fame because of the fact that he failed so completely in his own life.

I have to say, I like it when the console art has unique screens like this. Sure it’s not a great event, the abuse of Miyoko Tanashi, but I think it conveys her fraying mental state really effectively.

I do believe that this confirms it, Miyo Takano is indeed on the higher end of the Hinamizawa Syndrome. It doesn’t say it outright, but if you’ll recall one of the symptoms of the syndrome is a sense of persecution. I would like to point to the above and ask what is that if not confirmation and an example of Takano’s own persecution complex?

I don’t wish to appear wishy-washy but you could certainly use Hinamizawa Syndrome as a justification for why Takano seems to be acting so wildly out of sorts. In a way it’s the only explanation that makes sense, there are even parallels to Rena’s extreme symptoms from when her parents divorced. Ever since she received the news that the government was shutting down the Irie Institute Takano has acted more and more frantic about her dreams falling to pieces.

This dialogue towards the end of the screenshots make me wonder what exactly is communicating with Takano. Initially I presumed it was an entity similar to Hanyuu, some other cosmic being that is in opposition to Hanyuu and Rika’s struggles. There were vague implications earlier in the chapter, and towards to the end of Minagoroshi that there was something that was opposing them. There is one person who it could be, and that’s the Rika from the Fragments, the one who identifies themselves as Frederica Bernkastel. I have some theories as to why I think that its her, but I won’t get into them for now. The primary reason I think that it’s her is because of the fact that in the flashbacks an otherworldly voice saved Takano from dying when she made her escape from the orphanage. Then she led her to the phone booth that allowed her to call Hifumi and set all of this in motion. The only other option is that there is another of Hanyuu’s “demonic” kin that has survived and is secretly aiding Takano in her plans against Hanyuu. But the series has to this point never alluded to the idea of any of these other demons being alive so take it with a grain of salt, and also don’t look at the box art for Higurashi Hou +.

It’s just the worst being stuck in a room with no fans or anything during the hot summer months. I get headaches from the heat so it’s sheer agony being stuck in a slightly above room temperature room, head pounding while time just seems to crawl. I can only imagine it’s worse doing exercises of any sort in a room with no means to cool off, or ventilation.

It struck me just now that for everything that’s about to happen in the story it all is going to be happening within a relatively small amount of time. Altogether, maybe about twelve hours. That’s something that’s always a bit difficult for me to reconcile with, the sense of time in a given narrative work. For all of its faults 24 had the decency to let you know pretty precisely when, and how long an event is in the narrative.

Back from my break

I'm back a little bit earlier than expected, with some housekeeping.

I've made some washi-tape-esque banners for each journal entry to be topic-clockable at a glance. I'm working on some more assets to make the blog feel a bit less sterile and a bit more my own. I'm committed to keeping plain text (I've never been one for funky text aesthetic; it's too hard to read for me), but I enjoy tiny visual improvements, so I'll be playing around with that, maybe, if my motivation can stay chugging along.

A tagging system is being implemented and back-implemented. I have a separate post for tomorrow about it.

I still have a decent amount of alterhuman/kin-related thoughts and rants to get out of my system, and will be doing so intermittently for a while. Seeing as it took a literal global pandemic to yank me away from the community for any moderate amount of time last time, it's safe to say this is going to be a work in progress. My goal is to transition into talking about my own journey first and foremost. Ultimately, I have a lot to say before it gets to that point, but I'll try to space it out amidst the kind of identity-focused posts I want to write more of.

To anybody still reading this: you're so cool. Thanks for sticking around during this transitional period. It is motivating to know my words are interesting and of value to someone out there, and it makes me happy to feel like a part of this world like any other.

Saw a post the other day that was basically like "Yeah, I wish more pro-life supporters spoke up for Palestine but it's higher-up people who have been pro Israel such as politicians and world leaders who are pro-choice" And I think that hits the nail on the head while I do actively call out how hypocritical the pro-life the community has been it is weird the see the pro-choice community act like it is ONLY those who are pro-life are Israel supporting when I could name 10 major celebrities/politicians of the top of my head who are pro-choice and have shown themselves to be zionists yet I don't see the pro-choice community call themselves out.

It still misses the point though: pro lifers are those shouting off the rooftops that they are the only one truly caring about the children, OF COURSE they're going to be held at a higher standards than pro choice celebrities or politicians. It's a matter of consistence. Not every celebrity or politician is pro life as far as I know.

We been knew politicians don't care about kids and women. But it's a problem when those posturing themselves as the true defenders of babies & mothers end up failing at their initial purpose. Pro choicers are absolutely right to call pro lifers out. I'm never been into partisan shit : if pro choicers make a valid point against pro lifers, I'm not gonna get unnecessary defensive about it. If they are right, they are right ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I myself think a significant bunch of pro lifers are misogynists and delulu conservatives eager to control women and weaponize babies to guilt shame them. Otherwise, they don't care the slightest about life, women, or children. As far as kinning... I don't really have one for OM anymore. It's sort of hard to do that when the 7 brothers represent a sin specifically and I have a lot of that in me. Particularly wrath in the form of my anger issues that are slowly resurfacing. Pride is part of the reason I'm unable to back down from most things, lust is a result of my hypersexuality, gluttony is something to do with my weird eating habits, sloth in the form of ADHD Task Paralysis, envy in... lol. lmfao uh-

So as far as OM kinning,,,, if I were to pick one I'd rather just say I see myself in all of them. As like.... a very frequent pattern. For GENSHIN however... Again, I'm not sure if I kin with most of the cast. The most human cast I've seen was out of Sumeru so if I could pick it would be there- likely Kaveh or Alhaitham. I'm very wishy-washy, a idealistic person but also very critical from time to time. I tend to lean harder into my creative side most of the time but when it comes to something that doesn't sit right with me I'm extremely analytical. But that would be painting it with a broad stroke regardless.

Honestly this would be a lot easier for me to just say my favorites are gingers/redheads (Diluc, Childe, Beelzebub) and let someone else figure out where that manifested lmao

my relation to my fict. types

a little self explanatory, a post about (at least some of) what connects me to my ficto kintypes honestly for some it isnt super clear, brain just went 'me'. i think ill leave the ones that have that feeling out since i wont really have much to say about them

trauma, also probably influenced by a connection to undertale as a whole. i think the other ways i feel like them other than trauma are like, appearance, feeling pure of heart in a way while also feeling like you are the farthest from innocent. undertale feels like a familiar place to me, even though i actually was never heavily involved the fandom (and i dont even know all/majority of the lore! ive never done a genocide run, or seen a playthrough of one. just bits and pieces of a lot of lore)

trauma heavily, its actually kind of weird how similar our traumas are, as well as literally so many small aspects of our lives. i could go on and on about things in our lives that are basically mirrored but not sure if i would feel comfortable with that lmao. other than that, yet again i am very bonded to steven universe as a franchise. the places dont feel the same as undertale, i can assume this is because undertale is a game and i usually feel like i am 'there' when im playing games, and shows you dont really get that, more so just observing everything. (unless you make fan content or indulge in fanfiction ofc)

trauma and sense of identity. i have really weird system stuff that i feel relates to twice's experiences. also, strange addition to this but i find that i do the back and forth with myself like twice does, im not sure if its my tics or what but sometimes i will just say stuff that sounds aggressive and i follow it up by something more sweet, or trying to comfort or apologize to whatever i just insulted or complained about (its like. almost always not actually a person). not sure if ive done that recently, tbh i dont pay attention to it much anymore.

honestly, i feel her obsessive behavior very much, its somewhat a cope on my end but mentally ill as i am i have become very obsessed with people like this sometimes! as well as just. being very not normal about men sometimes, plinKing rn. (/ref) this one is pretty personal to me but i feel like i take some comfort in relating to toga. i do feel like i have been doing better mentally when it comes to this stuff, but it still makes me feel better to hold her close in my mind and know she is just like me.

I do like the Twigkit and Violetkit angle, though... maybe Pebbleshine took the remnants of the acorn necklace itself? Only one acorn was buried from it? Then Hawkwing can pray that his kits stay safe and Broken dedicated himself to making sure they survived
