HOLY FUCK. I’m going insane lowk, because I’m currently writing about what being cogless miners might’ve been like in a TF Fanfic, and this made me think more about what it might’ve been like for Elita specifically, and reexamine this moment in the context of the film as a whole, because I think this moment was the Catalyst, actually.
Warning: this is going to be long because I have a lot of thoughts, and oh boy do so many things in this movie work so cohesively.
Let’s start with something the movie clearly establishes:
1. The mines are a death trap.
Jazz nearly died in the mines, he would have if protocol was followed.
I don’t think Elita-One was wrong for trying to get D-16 and Orion to leave Jazz behind. It wasn’t guaranteed that Orion and D-16 would actually be able to succeed in rescuing Jazz and making it out of the collapsing mine tunnel themselves. Better to have 1 bot die than to have all 3 die. In her own way, I think she cared about the other bots, because when she saw that D-16 and Orion might actually make it out with Jazz in tow, she attempted to aid them by throwing one of the things the miners used to keep the tunnel open into the collapsing tunnel.
I think all the cogless bots in the energon mines cared about each other, at the very least in the camaraderie sort of way where it’s like, “hey we’re all stuck in this shitty situation together, better to look out for each other and make sure we all stay alive for as long as possible.” Because what happened with Jazz had to have happened many times over, and many times over, the Jazz in the situation probably did die. All the cogless mining bots have had to watch so many of their friends die over the cycles. They all know energon mining is dangerous, as illustrated by the flashback to Orion and D-16’s first meeting. However, as Darkwing stated they are cogless bots with limited options, so as a result, most are probably resigned this to being their reality. They probably keep going on the hope that maybe they’ll be able to rise in the ranks, and have a less dangerous job, where everyday isn’t another dance with death. At least, until Sentinel finds the Matrix of Leadership, and they no longer have to mine for energon, which will surely happen soon, right? (It won’t.)
I have a headcanon, based on the unused storyboard version of the confrontation with Sentinel. I think rising in the ranks to better guarantee he and Orion wouldn’t die in the mines was D-16’s plan. He states in the storyboard he would have been happy being a miner, and playing strat ball with Orion every night. He also states that he wanted to make shift boss and lead an expedition off world. Moreover, D-16 is strong as shit evidenced by him punching rocks as he and Orion carried Jazz out, and with the unused scene where he punched a dent in a punching bag.
He probably would have been able to survive, and look out for himself just fine. Maybe he was a bit of a loner, trying not to get too attached to anyone just in case he’d have to bear the hurt of losing them in an unfortunate, but commonplace accident. Then there goes Orion Pax, who probably wormed his way into D-16’s heart and before D-16 knew it, he was attached. D-16 knows very well his strength isn’t enough to save everyone, but maybe at the very least, he could make shift boss, and save his best friend. And D-16 would have been happy with that, especially because D-16 still had faith in Sentinel, faith in the system, faith that this whole fucked up situation would be temporary. This precise thing is why the truth about Sentinel hit so much harder for him than it did for any of the other 4 of the main gang. Out of all the 4 of the main gang, D-16 is the only one who truly believed in the system, and had idols to become newly disillusioned of.
Many bots in Iacon probably hoped the same: that all this would be temporary, and someone had to mine for energon since it stopped flowing. They probably didn’t mind as long as they still got to live their lifestyles, so long as they didn’t have to think about the fact that sooner or later, energon would run out and they’d face starvation. While Sentinel’s regime probably couldn’t use force to make fully fledged transformers mine for energon, if a whole generation had their cogs removed, their inherent ability and power stripped from them, then Sentinel’s regime could do exactly that to the cogless. The bots of Iacon city would not have walked away from Omelas.
Elita probably had a similar mindset to D-16, of not getting attached to anyone, and just focusing on rising up the ranks. Except she didn’t happen to have a bot like Orion Pax as her best friend. Elita was so close to finally getting promoted, and maybe getting out of the death trap. I think that’s why she was probably so devastated that she was stripped of everything she had worked for.
D-16 probably have been Elita’s rank if he didn’t have a bot like Orion Pax as his best friend, because D-16 probably suffered a demotion or 2 for helping Orion Pax get away with his crimes (breaking and entering where he wasn’t supposed to). It’s probably why despite clearly caring about Orion, D-16 still offhandedly, half jokes, that he needs a new best friend. He’s trying to save himself and Orion, but Orion, at least in his point of view, keeps sabotaging that.
Here’s something else the movie establishes:
2. Elita’s assessment of Orion is right, and it’s also wrong.
Throughout the film, it’s stated and implied that other bots think Orion is crazy, stupid, defective, and idiot. And to some extent, Orion probably thinks of himself like that also, given that in response to D-16 asking “ARE YOU CRAZY?” He says, “sure feels like it.”
His actions seem crazy, idiotic, etc. Like the logic component of his processor has something wrong with it, but that isn’t true at all. Sometimes I feel like the fandom characterizes Orion as just a silly little guy full of whimsy, a dumbass, or incompetent because of his low rank.
Elita is right, in that Orion has this optimism and hope that no other bot seems to have, and that this is what drives his choices. Orion is upbeat and silly, because he kinda has to be if he wants to keep that hope alive, in others, and especially in himself. The will to make the world better isn’t quashed by resignation that he is powerless in the system, like it is for so many other bots.
Elita is right in that his choices are bold, but also very stupid. His choices are stupid, I think, because of desperation resulting from a logical conclusion that Orion must have come to. Elita is wrong in saying that his optimism is blind. His optimism is survival.
Every bot probably knows that if the Matrix remains lost, then they will all eventually starve. The lower ranked bots would be the hardest hit, and likely were already being hit with rationing, as in the movie, Sentinel states to the Quintessons that there is barely enough energon left for the cybertronians. Impending starvation would be the first component of Orion’s desperation, because that means time is quickly running out.
I think at the beginning of the film, Orion still had faith in the system, just not as much as D-16. Like most everyone in Iacon, Orion’s hopes hinged on finding the Matrix of Leadership, so that he, D-16, and all their friends would no longer have to mine for energon. Unlike D-16, I think Orion had lost faith in Sentinel long before the reveal of the truth. There’s probably only so many times Sentinel can come back without having found the Matrix before bots start thinking maybe the search for the Matrix is hopeless. Except Orion can’t let himself believe that the Matrix isn’t out there somehow. There’s a missing piece to the puzzle to the search for the Matrix, a puzzle which Sentinel clearly has yet to solve.
The Matrix is powerful, it’s semi sentient because it’s described as an “entity” by Alpha Trion in the first sequence of the movie where Orion breaks into the archives, and it’s shrouded in mystery. There’s so much bots don’t know about the Matrix. Sentinel didn’t seem to know that the Matrix would dissolve in his hands if he wasn’t deemed worthy. He seemed to think it was an object he could just take. That too was news to our main gang when Alpha Trion showed them the truth.
So if Orion can better understand the Matrix, maybe that would help solve that missing piece to the puzzle. Maybe a better understanding of the object they’re all hoping to be found would let them get better at finding it. When answers in what he could freely access proved unsatisfactory and limited, it was probably only then that Orion broke into the restricted vaults of the Archives. He’s no stranger to breaking and entering, and does break and enter into more than just the archives (because is very familiar with the restricted area of the Iacon 5000 stadium he broke into and took D-16 to).
Now we’re going to get to why I think Elita getting fired was the Catalyst.
Orion is a bot of great will and determination, and he also has a strong sense of justice.
Every bot probably KNOWs the system is wrong, but they don’t exactly have the power, but more importantly, they don’t have the will to fight back. They haven’t hit their point where they’re like “this is intolerable, and something must be done.” I think Elita getting fired was when Orion hit that point.
Orion is good natured and joking towards the bots that chase him out of the Archives. Sure he might get beaten up, but he IS breaking and entering into someplace he’s not supposed to be. That’s justifiable.
Orion might have made a joke about flipping Darkwing off, but he wasn’t joking in his expression of resentment and anger towards Darkwing on behalf of Elita. He is genuinely sorry that his choice of not following protocol resulted in the chain reaction that led to Elita getting fired.
Now even if Elita isn’t as close to other cogless bots as I think most cogless bots were probably to each other, Orion Pax is observant, and intelligent as hell. This quality is evident in the sequence where Orion is getting chased out of the archives as he improvises the many stunts he pulls in his escape.
The original poster and the tags in the other reposts suggest that Darkwing is abusing Elita because of her mirroring Darkwing’s behavior and mannerisms. If my headcanon about Elita not letting herself get close to anyone is right, her situation probably wasn’t helped by the fact she was already isolated. Maybe that’s why Orion tried to make small talk with Elita
wait hang on. I’m looking back at the script again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh my god. Orion could tell she was in a good mood today despite D-16 not really seeing it. Orion is still trying to joke and make small talk with her despite being rebuffed by Elita.
And she chuckled at Orion’s joke. Oh my god guys what if Orion was the closest thing Elita had to an actual friend, or like the only bot who didn’t stop trying to be friendly to her, and Orion either suspected strongly or knew about Darkwing abusing her, so he’s been trying to reach out.
The point is, Elita probably was happy because if that day went well, Darkwing might have no longer had power over her, but then one of the Energon processors got destroyed. And so Darkwing, having the power to do so (probably on a whim), stripped her of all her rank.
That was unfair, that was unjust, that is probably the final nail in the coffin for Orion to say that the system is broken, this is intolerable, and something must be done. Because it is right after this sequence that Sentinel announces the Iacon 5000 is happening, and then Orion gets the idea to race in the Iacon 5000 to really shake things up for the status quo.
And of course, he drags D-16 along because they always had each other’s backs. D-16 was his partner in crime.
Orion Pax is a bot of great will and determination, but I think he also gets tunnel vision when he puts it in his own head that he has to do something like race in the Iacon 5000, or stop Sentinel from continuing to rule under a pretense built on betrayal and falsehood. This is what leads him to ignore D-16 not wanting to go along with Orion’s plan to race in the Iacon 5000, but if things go wrong, maybe Orion throught it would, worst case scenario, end with them getting a few injuries and D-16 would forgive him. This is what leads Orion to prioritize stopping Sentinel, and led him to overlook (despite noticing) D-16’s spiral as a result of D-16’s crisis of faith.
I think maybe Orion being the closest thing Elita had to a friend is why despite ruining her life, she doesn’t just completely hate him. I think maybe that’s why she has such insight into Orion as a person, and thus why she is willing to go along with his crazy scheme to find the Matrix, because she knows he’s not a complete idiot despite referring to him as such. And I think this is sets the stage for why she ultimately does come around and back Orion up in leading the attack on Sentinel’s tower to rescue D-16, Bee, and the captured high guard.
End of my breakdown and theorizing, hope this makes sense and hope whoever reads this to the end found the whole thing interesting and worthwhile.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
late but i was rewatching the mouth of unicron scene and noticed that elita didnt use her flashlight??
which is odd bc she was just leading the gang earlier so youd think shed use it
but then i remembered this scene
Tumblr media
when she was demoted, (if we are following the whole “bodily autonomy” themes) darkwing most likely took that ability from her bc of a new lack of status
Tumblr media
if i may also add elita is the only bot that actively flinches at darkwing. (ironhide does not and orion only flinched at him when he saw that he was bout to be punched)
darkwing is known to be aggressive and violent but both d16 and orion are shocked that he would put his hands on him while elita seemed to be bracing herself, assuming the worst from him
him crippling her probably isnt the first hes done something awful to her

Miscellaneous Naruto Headcanons
Hanabi is next in line as clan head and Hinata completely cut off her family because she decided she doesn’t want anything to do with the people who wanted nothing to do with her.
Hashirama and Tobirama actually have a really complicated relationship with a lot of mutual resentment. They love each other as family and respect each other as shinobi, but still. Hashirama holds a grudge from the river incident, resents how he was the favorite child of their father, and is frustrated by how he prioritizes utilitarianism over kindness/morality a lot of the time. Tobirama resents how he grew up in his shadow, is jealous of how easily he interacts with others and gets them on his side, and commonly thinks that he makes their lives significantly harder. Do they talk about any of this? Of course not! Hashirama is deeply ashamed of these feelings and Tobirama approaches all of his emotions with an “if I don’t look at it, it doesn’t exist” mentality.
The three shinobi vices come from the sage of six paths, but Tobirama was the one who introduced the shinobi rules.
The fear of aging is incredibly common amongst shinobi. However, it’s less about dying and more about deteriorating; like a weapon rusting or dulling in a way that’s unpreventable and irreversible. Orochimaru’s fear is pretty obvious, part of the reason Sasori both values eternity so much and turned himself into a puppet is this, and Guy goes on about YOUTH!!! all the time because he’s in denial about his own fear, especially since taijutsu specialists are on a shorter clock than most due to muscle deteriorating faster than chakra.
Deidara values ephemeralism so much because he was forced to become a suicide bomber and he used this life philosophy to find value within himself even when he could be ordered to kill himself at a moments notice.
While the three shinobi vices are only taken very seriously amongst groups like the guardian shinobi twelve, it’s still baked into a lot of shinobi life. For example, you can be discharged from anbu for things like drinking, gambling, and paying for prostitutes even if it doesn’t impact your work-life. Some people, like Tsunade and Kurenai, are very against this, arguing “if I’m allowed to kill and die on a battlefield, I should be allowed to cope with that however I want!”
Kurenai is an alcoholic btw.
Tsunade got her gambling habit from Hashirama, but her drinking came from Tobirama.
Yamato is transgender.
While there isn’t much or any stigma against queer relationships, there is a lot of pressure around people having kids. This came from the warring states era when they needed those kids to become soldiers and replace their armies (also child death was very common and having more kids rose the chances of one of them surviving to adulthood).
The first thing Hashirama did as Hokage was outlaw child hunters and give the order that any child hunters encountered on missions should be dealt with with extreme prejudice.
Kekkei genkai hunting and trafficking is disturbingly common.
Sakura, Rock Lee, and TenTen come from civilian clans and started bonding over that during their sparring matches.
Ableism is pretty common within shinobi villages and especially in the Hyuga clan, so Neji went through a period of having to unlearn a lot of his biases while working with Rock Lee.
Rock Lee is considered disabled btw.
Also ableism is one of the reasons why Nagato doesn’t show his body. Because he’s also disabled (can’t walk because of paper bombs, and has severe chronic chakra exhaustion).
The noble clans (Uchiha, Hyuga, Aburame, Akimichi) were the first/founding clans of Konoha. The Senju used to be included, but because they mixed themselves into other clans to the point of dying out, they aren’t anymore.
Despite being memorialized on the shinobi uniform, the Uzumaki clan were never an official clan of Konoha.
The sharingan and mangekyou sharingan were extremely common during the warring states era, but is exceedingly rare in peace times. So much so that Uchiha’s who got it were congratulated (by people both inside and outside the clan) without others remembering that the sharingan is rarely unlocked for a good reason, making them feel even more upset/isolated.
Although people who get married usually still have wedding rings, it is so rare for shinobi to be seen wearing them (considering their job) that they’re viewed as a sign of retirement.
Ino and Karui did not get along at first because Ino takes great pride in clan tradition and Karui thought she was behind the times. They only get along now because they’re both romantics and they respectfully avoid that topic of conversation around each other.
Shino has to be very particular about his doctors to avoid them freaking out them accidentally healing the holes in his skin closed, making long missions away from Konoha all the more complicated and dangerous.
The rookie nine (-Sasuke) all really enjoy the outdoors so they set up a whole park/garden for them to hang out at. Naruto, Sakura, and Ino plant and tend to the flowers. Hinata picks and presses flowers into journals with the date they bloomed, type, and flower meaning written. Shikamaru (and sometimes Choji) likes cloud gazing. Shino and Choji like admiring (and sometimes catching) the bugs they find; Shino appreciates how he can exposition dump about all sorts of insects and Choji will actually listen. Kiba will either run around or take a nap with Akamaru depending on the day. Sakura also sometimes brings a stack of books to read/annotate in the grass.
Ino was the peer leader of their classroom during the academy.
Because Sakura was the introverted friend adopted by the extroverted leader (Ino), when they stopped being friends, Sakura functionally lost all of her friends.
Shino was right behind Sasuke in academics all throughout the academy, resulting in them having a bit of a silent rivalry. Sasuke actually knew Kiba through this because Kiba was one of the few people who acknowledged that Shino existed.
Choji taught Ino and Shikamaru how to cook as team bonding.
Shino and Hinata are pretty close friends after bonding over having to reign in Kiba during their time on team 8.

MADARA X READER! FRIENDS TO LOVERS!
CRIMSON RED
Tumblr media
TW: Madara being a bit of a jerk as a kid, mentions of war, fighting, and death, canon-divergence(Izuna doesn't die), minor platonic/friend Hashirama x reader, + Just Fluff
Content: Headcanons/Imagine
Madara Uchiha was the firstborn son of Tajima Uchiha and his wife. Naturally he had quite a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. He was the eldest of his brothers and the one to inherit and lead the Uchiha Clan after his father’s death.
He loved his brothers more than anything in the world, and was devastated to see them slowly falling one by one.. on HIS watch. It made him feel physically ill.
About a few months after one of his brothers died, Madara went to the forest to find a nearby stream to clear his head, and get away from the somber atmosphere of the Uchiha Clan Compound.
That’s when he noticed you.
You were all by yourself trying to perform some sort of fire style jutsu as it seemed. He had to bite back a scoff and walked over to you. Madras was never the nicest kid, and he could be very blunt and mean when he wanted to be, so naturally when he approached you he said “Your form is sloppy, and your chakra control is just terrible.”
What a wonderful first impression.
You were severely annoyed by him. Who was this random boy to just come here and critique you like he was better than you?!
The truth was that Madara was better than you. Way better than you. You however thought you could challenge him to a spar to show him how wrong he is.. and well he wiped the floor with you. Like.. wiped the floor. At the end of the spar you probably had twisted at least a few bones.
Madara spoke smugly “I told you so. You’re a weakling, you’ve got to train harder than that if you expect to beat me in a sparring match in your lifetime.” You glared at him and spoke sharply “I swear to you! One day I will beat you in a sparring match! You’ll regret underestimating me, you annoying jerk! How can anyone stand to be around you?!”
Madara scoffed and walked off “Yeah sure, whatever you say. But hey, at least I can do a basic fire style jutsu, unlike you who struggles with a jutsu I mastered by the time I was 7.”
You couldn’t really beat that, so you’d head off to train harder and prove yourself to this arrogant prick of a guy. Madara would secretly come and watch you from afar in the forest(half of him knows it’s creepy, the other half is in serious denial)
But of course you catch him watching you and you speak mockingly to him “What is it you stupid looking hedgehog? Why are you watching me like a creep? No one likes creeps.” Madara’s eye twitched “Are you kidding? I was just checking in on you to make sure you didn’t die or something.” He said nonchalantly.
Yeah sure Madara. Whatever you say. You spoke to him annoyed “Look how about we come to a deal. If you teach me how to be better at fire style jutsu’s then we can both just leave each other alone after that, how does it sound?” Madara narrowed his eyes and thought about it. “No. I don’t want to waste my time training a loser like you.”
You walked away in a huff and then Madara rolled his eyes “Wait! Fine.. I’ll teach you some basics.. but that’s it!” You smirked, this would be fun.
It wasn’t fun. Not for you but for Madara.
He had a lot of good excuses to beat you up, and he always went all out during training. But he was actually a rather good teacher. He taught the forms very excellently, and he was surprisingly patient, until he went and said that you were probably dropped on top of your head multiple times as a baby.
But when you actually did start to understand and become proficient in ninjutsu Madara was pleased. You thanked him for his help and said that you both didn’t have to meet anymore, but Madara was too intrigued by you to simply just leave you be like that.
“You sure? I mean wouldn’t you like to become proficient in genjutsu and Taijutsu as well? Not just ninjutsu, I mean you’d have a higher chance of surviving out there.” You accepted his offer with much thought, you had to admit that after a few weeks of training with Madara he had sort of grown on you.. in an odd way.
And so the friendship between you two began to blossom. You both trained together, and constantly practiced your skills together. You’d meet each other regularly in the forest and spend all of the afternoon together. Both of you didn’t have to say it, but you two were friends, and close friends as well.
Madara would often show his care for you by phrasing it as insults, but he was genuinely concerned for your well being. “If you don’t get a good amount of sleep you’ll drop dead in the middle of a battle and get finished off by your enemy.” What a wholesome boy Madara is.
You eventually meet Hashirama and at first you think “Wow.. this poor boy with that awful haircut.” But you actually hit off very well with him. Hashirama is a very friendly person and you both grow rather close. You two sometimes even gang up on Madara when he’s in one of his moods, much to the Uchiha’s distaste.
The three do you would train together in the forests and you and Hashirama would constantly be on the receiving end of Madara’s anger, but hey, you guys liked being in each others company and that’s all that matters.
Everything was going perfectly.. until you learnt that Madara and Hashirama were from two enemy clans. Their fathers had intervened and their friendship had been discovered thus breaking the friendship between the three of you. You felt rather lonely without your close friends and you didn’t get to see either because you felt like if you spoke to one you’d be betraying the other. You didn’t want to choose sides.
Even though Madara had to focus more and more on taking more roles and responsibility in the Uchiha Clan, he couldn’t help but think back to you. How were you doing.. what were you thinking right now, did you even miss him at all?
Those were the thoughts that consumed his mind, the thoughts that he desperately sought to be rid of, but just couldn’t. How had he gotten so enamoured with you? You shouldn’t even be worth his time and yet his mind is always full of you.
As the battle rages on and on, Madara almost loses the life of his brother. That is until a familiar face steps in. It was you. You stepped forward in between the Senju and Uchiha offering to heal his brother, and of course he let you.
You did as you said you would and healed Izuna of his injuries, in turn saving his soon. Soon after a peace treaty would be negotiated with the Senju and Uchiha, with Hashirama and Madara at the forefront as the heads of the two clans.
Soon you find your friendship with the two of them rebuilding. The friendly and playful banter between you three so natural and familiar. You had missed this.
How ever there was something different between you and Madara. The way you both would look at each other, how much time you’d spend together, the subtle touches, it was clear, well to Hashirama but not you two.
Madara couldn’t help but toss and turn at night. Now his feelings for you had become even more confusing. He didn’t view you as simply a friend.. no that was too casual. His feelings for you surpassed that. The way that his heart started to beat faster in his chest when you were close to him. How he became happier at the thought of spending time with you. The rage he felt whenever someone or something hurt you. That’s when it hit him.
He was in love. With you.
After this self revelation, Madara wanted to work on confessing to you. He was a very straightforward and blunt person and he’d most certainly be blunt about this as well, but he had to play this right. He couldn’t just walk up to you and blurt out that he loved you. No. He needed to do something.
He'd act normal with you while you were hanging out, but you noticed he seemed to act a bit different, like he was keeping a secret from you. You never directly confronted him about it, knowing he'd probably get defensive, but you did notice it.
When Madara told you that he wanted to meet up with you in the evening you weren't all that confused, but you were interested at the same time. Was he finally going to speak about his odd behaviour? You'd just have to find out. You walked up to Madara who had a stoic look on his face, but you could see something else in his eyes.. hesitation.. nervousness.. and something else you couldn't quite pinpoint.
You asked him curiously “So why did you ask to meet me at this time? We don't usually meet up this late.” Madara spoke in a calm tone “I’ve been thinking about you.. and our relationship with each other.. and I’ve come to realise something" He paused for a few seconds, his cheeks were tinted pink, and he was looking anywhere but you. "My feelings for you go beyond that of.. a regular friendship.” You were stunned. Was he saying what you thought he was saying? Did he actually have feelings for you?
“Now don’t get a big head when I tell you this.. but even during the years we didn’t see each other, you consumed my mind, my thoughts, and emotions. And now that the village has been built and peace established I want us to explore this connection with each other.. that’s if you feel the same way.” You didn’t respond for a few seconds before you spoke “Yeah.. uh.. yeah. I feel the same way, let’s do it.” Now you sounded reluctant but on the inside this is what you’ve been wanting for so long.
So then after the confession you and Madara slowly ease intoa romantic relationship which is a whirlpool on its own entirely. Madara as a significant other is different from a friend, because now that you’ve gotten into a romantic relationship he’s confused on if he should still treat he like he did when your relationship with each other was still purely platonic or act more “romantic” with you.
He wants to act more romantic with you but he can sometimes struggle. It’s not easy to get him to open up about his emotions and express vulnerability in such a way. You are thankfully very patient with him. At the beginning of your relationship, you often have to initiate physical contact and all the other “Lovey-Dovey” stuff.
Madara tries, but he’s not very used to being that physically affectionate with anyone, often preferring to show his love for you by doing things for you or protecting you. He was a man of few words, yet by the way he looked at you, you could easily see how much he loved you. The tender look in his eyes when he was staring at you did not go unnoticed by you.
After some time(about a few good months) he eventually starts to become more comfortable and open with showing affection, often even initiating it by himself. From gently intertwining your fingers when you both were in private by yourselves and having the most stoic look on his face, but the light dust of pink on his cheeks were visible.
He still threw around snarky remarks with you, that was just a part of the playful banter you shared with him. Don’t be surprised if you fall asleep and wake up to him next to your side sleeping peacefully as well. He’s gotten quite attached to you, even more than he already had though he still refuses to admit it.
One day when you were in the Uchiha Clan Compound looking at some scrolls with him, he had a pensive expression on his face, and you asked him what was the matter, but the next three words he said were so blunt. “I love you.” You almost thought you heard him wrong for a second, “What..?” Madara looked unusually nervous but determined at the same time. “I love you.. and I mean it. I’m an Uchiha.. and trust me, if we say we love you, we mean it.”
You felt your heart start to flutter in your chest as you responded to him “Oh.. well I love you too. Even if you can be a bit of a grouch.” Madara scoffed, but you could see the smile on his face, and it was oddly very visible. Since that day you and Madara had become even more inseparable than you already were.
Madara had already made up his mind a long time ago, he was going to marry you and he didn’t care as to what his clan would say, you were the only person that he had ever loved this much. Now all he was thinking about was how he was going to propose to you. You were an orphan and your family was dead, so he couldn’t arrange a betrothal ceremony with your family. He decided he’d just ask you one day, but it would have to be in a place that had meaning for the both of you.. he wanted it to be perfect, he was going to be serious about this.
Yeah. He’s sweating buckets. What if you say no to him? That has got to be his worst fear. Madara had taken you out to the spot where the two had met all of those years ago, casually brushing off any questions you had, dismissing it as him just wanting to have a quiet evening within the comfort of nature with you. The two of you both stood side by side observing the stars and the moon when he started to speak. He had a somewhat far away look in his eyes as he spoke.
"You've always been one of the few people that have really caught my interest.. even all those years ago when we first met in that forest.. there was just something about you, that I could not bring myself to simply ignore. To me.. you've always been special." You let a soft smile appear on your face listening to his words, it wasn't that often that he got this vulnerable with you, and when he did, it meant he was comfortable with you.
"The two of us have had our fair share of arguments and disagreements but.. even still you kept coming back. No matter how stubborn or tough I was, you still kept coming back, and that was a devotion I thought one would only have towards their own family or spouse.. you have always been by my side through everything, even when I pushed you away, no matter how awkward I was.. or distant, you were always there, you always came back to me, and now I really do see that type of devotion is that of which one would have for their spouse.. which is why I want you by my side, now and forever. Y/N, will you marry me?"
You froze in shock, was he seriously asking you this? You loved him with all your heart, but he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you of all people? This fearsome and ruthless man chose you. He may have appeared rough on the outside but he was the most loving person you knew deep down, and you knew you wanted to spend the rest of your life with him, loving him, and being loved by him. A small smile appeared on your face "Yes, I accept." Madara internally sighed in relief, but appeared casual, even though he had a wide smile on his face.
"Of course you did. I'd be surprised if you said no." You rolled your eyes yet the smile remained on your face "Don't be arrogant now, I bet you were probably sweating buckets." He chuckled slightly "Okay, you've got me there, I've been planning this for months." You were about to give a teasing reply when you noticed a red gleam in his eyes and realized that he had activated his sharingan.
"Why have you activated your sharingan?" He looked at you surprised. "Oh.. well sometimes when Uchiha's feel deep love, our sharingan activates, even if we don't intend it too." You smiled and teasingly said "I guess this means you love me a lot doesn't it?" He scoffed but didn't deny anything. "You know.. your eyes are a beautiful shade of red.. crimson red." You spoke softly, always enamoured by the beauty of the Sharingan. "Crimson red huh? I guess it suits us." "It really does." Madara slowly leaned in, and so did you until your lips connected in a sweet, love-filled kiss. There was one thing that was certain, the Uchiha Clan was a clan of love and passion, and no Uchiha loved more fiercely than Madara Uchiha. His power came from the Sharingan, which was powered by his love. Love is passionate, and it is fierce, which is why the Sharingan is crimson red, especially his.

parkour civilization headcanons (YAYAYY)
i have been thinking a lot about the movies recently so here are my dumb silly headcanons because they make me very excited and wanna jump about :PP
inspo from: @finlin000 @harvocel
spoilers? small general tw
evbo and other parkour noobs were extremely malnourished, they were starving essentially, especially since they ate raw meat all the time
because of it being raw meat I think many if you didn’t die or get sent to prisons for reasons you would probably die or get sick often from consuming raw meat, especially if they didn’t change it out often. you could probably imagine the amounts of parasites people consumed because of it
the moment evbo was no longer a parkor noob he refused to eat chicken. even when it is cooked. just the smell or possible mention of it probably making him gag and get flashbacks of having to force down the slimy substance without throwing up (which he did a few times) over and over. Same goes for raw beef but a little less since he managed to tolerate it later.
less angst, more about technicals (idk) >:| !
leather boots for noobs are horrible. after a few years (if one survives long enough) they probably start to rot and fall apart. those things stick like hell since noobs don’t have resources to take care of them. They only benefit being they might grip the ground better.
noob class is the poor class in a kindom, they live in poverty and fear and are only really there to be test subjects (as seen in the prisons) or just a population ig. They are kinda like toys for high class
parkour pro’s have way better boots. They are more sturdy, easier to keep clean and done but nothing too fancy, they are built for work. boots aren’t customizable. more foot at our though
parkour pro’s are the work class of parkour civilization, along with that they are also probably some of the more parkour training focused of the levels (masters as well but probably starting off of knowledged learned as a pro)
the lost civilization (chain or the advanced) is centered around knowledge, mostly around parkour but they are the only level with books/library’s (I think), this also led to the level finding out about parkour racing
parkour advanced boots are like iron except a little more practical. Leg armor and padding armor for the longer jumps on the level too. Especially since they had different areas with different types of parkour
if there was a parkour religion it would mostly be centered on the advanced level
parkour masters are the level of wealth and riches, yes they still have some form of jobs but they run the economy
when you become a parkour master you get the standard gold boots but you are able to customize them to your liking. They can be tailored towards the specific user (example seawatt’s boot are more sandal like.) the boots now have knee padding too and are made to withstand harder and higher jumps
masters like to show off their boots and skills, a lot.
parkour champions have there boots custom made with great care and detail (maybe by a parkour pro or above). Only mad with the best material. stretch up the leg to around the knees. mostly likely always enchanted (hence the regeneration and lack of hunger)
it is an honor to be the one who gets to make the boots though
the parkour champion is treated like the royalty of society and the higher the level you have, the influence you have too.
thats about most of them but I might edit later with more cause I am tired and wanna sleep. Yay 🎉:))

Random Headcanons About The World of Obey Me!:
Possible trigger warnings: mentions of self-harm and child birth.
Angels and demons don't age physically like humans, obviously. 100 years is roughly about one human year and so on. Lucifer, for example, existed before the beginnings of humanity and even time itself. Take that as you will.
Demons can't die. Technically. They can be injured, feel pain, even get sick, but they cannot experience "true death" as they will always regenerate themselves, regardless of the amount of time it takes to do so. However, during periods of intense physical trauma, they can return to what they call "the darkness before." It was once that Beelzebub experienced such a place after being seriously injured while protecting one of his brothers. When asked to describe it, the only answer he could give was simply, "boring."
That being said, there are ways to kill a demon, permanently, but doing so would require rather ancient and powerful magic, as well as finding a way to remove them from the cycle of creation itself. And the more powerful the demon, the harder it is to do. Demons like Barbatos, in this case, are virtually unkillable.
There are some demons who suffer through what is known as "cessation sickness." Symptoms include extreme fatigue, depression, migraines, bouts of forgetfulness, apeirophobia, and self-harm.
Children's television and interactive media in the Devildom is a bit more "eerie" than that of the human world. Think of Candle Cove or Fun with Amanda type of programs on the regular. What a human child or adult might see as disturbing is downright hilarious to a demon child. Speaking of children...
Demons, at least during certain occasions, are infertile. An immortal species has no need to consistently repopulate itself, after all. Yet every hundred years or so, demons do experience what is basically a mating season. The season lasts for only a moon, making the window to concieve very short. During this time, demons who are interested in baring children will build mating dens and perform certain rituals for their partners. Said experience is also very physically demanding and can take multiple, multiple attempts. Concieving a child, let alone bringing one to term, is not only rare but when successful, warrants a celebration that can last for days.
Demons who wish not to perform in said actions are offered alternatives. Substances that extinguish the need to mate are available during the season. It goes without saying that Lord Diavolo, Barbatos, Mephistophles, other royals, as well as the rest of the brothers, have found said alternatives mandatory...for obvious reasons.
Demon anatomy is...weird. Depending on the demon, there usually isn't one set amount of organs or parts, which makes Anatomy 101 even more confusing. Leviathan, for example, has three hearts (being kinda like a fish has its benefits).
When Diavolo closed the portals between realms, some demons were caught off from their main source of substance: human flesh and souls. Some either adapted, finding new ways to procure their energy, or went insane and needed to be exposed of (the incubi/ sucubi species were hit the hardest by this). Survival of the fittest is quite literal in the Devildom.
Demons weren't always like the ones you see now. Primordial demons were much more terrifying and closer to the ones most humans envision when they think of a devil. Most demons are capable of reverting to said forms, yet only under extreme circumstances.
Some may ask why exactly demons and angels look so close to mortals in appearance. One reason is that maintaining such a simple, bipedal form is easier for everyday mobility. You'd be surprised how difficult it is to walk through a door with hundreds of appendages or enjoy an iced latte when you're several stories tall or even hold a simple conversation without driving the person you're attempting to converse with into madness. Another reason is hunting, at least for demons. Luring in human prey is easier when they don't immediately run away screaming. And if you're one of "those types," mating. Let's just say things get messy and downright impossible when one partner doesn't have the proper biology.
Demons, for the most part, were always destructive, insatiable, and chaotic evil creatures. This began to change when certain primordial demons bred with other demons close in "emotional capacity" and created clans. Those clans eventually became kingdoms, and those who rule them now sit atop the hierarchy of the nine circles of hell. Lord Diavolo's ancestry, for example, leads back to the very beginnings of the Devildom and have stood there for eons.
The avatars are merely a physical representation of the sin that already exists within humans. They do not cause humans to sin just by merely being near them, though they can influence a sin if it's already there. Because of this, avatars are very good at sensing their sins and tend to be drawn to places that hold them the most. It's why Mammon and Asmodeus particularly love nightclubs.
Mammon tried his hand in the human stock exchange once and was found to be so good at it that he nearly collapsed the world economy. There's a reason Lucifer forbids Mammon from interfering with any human related trade or commerce.
Lucifer doesn't particularly care for most of his human created depictions in art or media. Satan also holds a slight gripe as well.
Lucifer, Belphegor, and Asmodeus have the ability to mimic voices. Asmodeus for...obvious reasons, Belphegor for more malicious purposes, and Lucifer only on rare occasions. Though when he's really spiteful, he'll use it to mimic MCs voice to draw Mammon out of hiding.
The brothers wonder how Belphegor, despite never seeming to work or...do much of anything, tends to have an ample amount of Grimm. Being known as the "demon of invention" has its perks. Along with being able to enter other's dreams, he can also influence those to pursue in certain endeavors that are bound to fail and lead nowhere (rather silly to bet on dreams with the avatar of sloth, huh)? When they inevitably do fail, Belphegor offers them a simple deal: a reasonable fee for the eternal, continuous, autonomous ownership of their soul. Most, of course, pay.

Do you have any favourite regulus headcanons?
So, so many of them. Where do I even start?
He had a summer birthday, making him almost two years younger than Sirius but only one year below him at school
His favorite cousin was Narcissa - even as a young child, but especially after Sirius was disowned. While everyone else expected him to be pleased at being the heir now and eager to be rid of a "blood traitor," she spoke with him in private and told him it was okay if he had mixed feelings or missed Sirius. She was the only one who considered that that might be the case, because she had gone through something similar with Andromeda.
He was naturally bright, but not so much that everything came easily; he still had to work hard in order to do well in school. He did excel at some subjects, though, especially Ancient Runes and Defense Against the Dark Arts. He dropped Divination and Herbology as soon as possible, the former because he didn't have the Sight, and the latter because, as far as he was concerned, digging around in the dirt was beneath his dignity.
He was nearly but not quite a hatstall and spent his Sorting ceremony absolutely terrified, begging for Slytherin while the hat considered the pros and cons of the various options. One of the reasons it hesitated so long was that it could tell he wanted to go there at least partially out of fear and thought he might have more room to grow as a person in one of the other Houses. It was probably right - but that doesn't mean it was wrong in its final decision.
He loved playing Quidditch and was really good at it.
If he had been an animagus, his animal form would have been a crow.
He was prejudiced about blood status, but could be polite when it suited him. Especially at the Slug Club. He wasn't friendly or welcoming towards Slughorn's Muggle-born favorites, but he carefully avoided showing any overt hostility - at least when Slughorn was watching.
In another life, he might have been a scholar (he was very interested in the academic side of magic), an artist (he painted the family crest above his bed himself), or a dueling champion (he was highly skilled with combative magic).
He joined the Death Eaters entirely by choice.
He was the youngest person ever recruited as a Death Eater until Draco Malfoy during the second war. Narcissa was well aware of this, and it was one of the reasons she insisted Draco was too young.
He had a soft spot for Kreacher. He didn't necessarily see him as an equal, but he felt genuine affection for him and appreciated his loyalty. He was furious on Kreacher's behalf when he found out what Voldemort had done.
He didn't get along with Sirius and would probably have said he hated him, but he never stopped thinking of him as his brother.
He went to the cave expecting to die and preferring to die on his own terms rather than be made an example of by Voldemort.
As he was drowning, he regretted not trying harder to survive.

heyy backpacks!!! i've been having some sheaf time travel thoughts lately, where she tries to stop herself and panlo dying in the bombing so they actually have a chance to participate and work their plan (headcanon that they would've worked together during the games).
it works but she keeps getting so close in the games. seeing panlo die over and over again. she slowly realises that maybe surviving the bombing and playing the games isn't what she needs to do. she - and the other tributes who, begrudgingly, she's become quite fond of - need to escape.
hope u don't mind me leaving this here !!
hi bel!! (sorry it took me forever to reply!)
omg sheaf in a time loop!! here we go-
the very first time sheaf dies (book events), it's succumbing to her injuries after the bombing. she barely lives past otto (who clearly has issues with her for some reason), and wakes up back on the train. it takes her a bit to realize that she's back, rather than just waking up from a horrific nightmare, but as events start to repeat, she starts to plan. she's got a second chance, and she can't afford to waste it!
sheaf tries to subtly save brandy, just to spare herself and everyone from that terrible "funeral", but it doesn't work. she thinks she's subverted the event when brandy gets her hands on the cheese sandwich without slitting arachne's throat, but arachne doesn't magically learn a lesson, and is back the next day taunting brandy again, this time with a bottle of water. sheaf should have expected that brandy would not take the taunts lying down, knife or no knife, and when brandy smashes the bottle on the bars and stabs arachne in the throat, it is almost instinct when she grabs panlo and pulls him to the ground, right before the peacekeepers open fire.
sheaf might not have known brandy, but it's still awful watching the girl get filled with bullets. twice over now. she does manage survive the arena bombing this time, and save panlo too, so that's a plus. she makes it all the way to the arena and thinks the odds are alright. alliances have been made, but she and panlo are working together, so they can make it far, she hopes. she barely makes it a minute into the games thanks to otto, who shoots her with a crossbow. she stumbles, and he shoots her again. sheaf has no idea what his problem is. she dies, and wakes back up on the train.
it's at this point that she realizes that it wasn't a second chance, it was potentially unlimited chances. she's the only one who is being sent back like this as far as she knows, so she must be sent back for a reason, right? maybe this is a kindness, something in the universe saying that she should get to go home. so that's what she plans to do, she will win these games and go home. even if the only people that would have missed her were the others at the orphanage. even if most of d9 didn't want her back.
so she tries again. sheaf has a grudge against otto by this point, because seriously, what is that guy's deal? why is he so intent on hating her when she can't think of a single thing that she's done to him? she tries to save brandy again. it doesn't work. she makes it past the arena bombing, but it isn't enough to save panlo. he gets out with injuries, and the vet the capitol sends doesn't do enough for him, and he succumbs to his injuries. sheaf isn't prepared to go into the arena without him, and ends up dying to coral & co.
she wakes up back at the train again. she tries harder to save brandy, and succeeds! it takes snapping at arachne and shouting until the capitol girl leaves in a huff, but brandy is alive. it sparks up an alliance, and sheaf gets to know tanner and brandy better. panlo is hesitant at first, but more allies means a higher chance of survival, right? that's good, at least at the start. no one wants to talk about the case of what happens if it comes down to the four of them.
things go sideways at the arena bombing. arachne is still bitter that sheaf shouted at her (rightfully so) and makes sure that she and brandy are far away from sheaf/androcles in the arena tour. sheaf manages to save herself and panlo, but arachne and brandy die in the bombing. tanner is not doing well in the aftermath of brandy's death, and the alliance turns shaky. they're still allied when they go in, but when the three of them end up in a fight against coral and mizzen, sheaf gets injured in the process. panlo gets worried over her, and that hesitation is enough for coral to kill him. sheaf doesn't survive much past that.
next time, she tries even harder. maybe the solution here is to ally with coral and mizzen? there is plenty of wariness, especially since they killed her, but if they're allies, then she's safe, right? she tries to get herself and panlo in an alliance with them, but coral rebuffs them, saying that she and mizzen bring more advantage to them than they provide to her. she's not wrong, but sheaf is still put off by it. she gets to talking with brandy and tanner again, who are far more wary thinking that they're her "second choice" after seeing her talking with coral. sheaf isn't able to save brandy this time. tanner joins the pack. sheaf dies to otto again. she's seriously hating the boy from six now.
in the next loop, she confronts him over it when he makes a threatening motion to her. panlo sticks up for her, which only seems to make otto angrier. the argument doesn't go anywhere, but otto seems to kill her in the arena even quicker than that second time. it isn't until she sees the way he's glancing at panlo before glaring at her that it clicks.
she is more than a little bitter that the reason otto hated her so much was because he has a crush on panlo. seriously? if that was the case, then she was far from competition, since she had absolutely zero romantic interest in panlo. she tells him so to his face, because she might as well. maybe he wouldn't kill her over it. and if he did, then she'd just wake up back at the train again. otto denies it all, but it doesn't take much to see that he's lying. panlo is more than a little put off by it, but he's still up to ally with sheaf.
she manages to make it a little further in the arena this time. otto avoids her and panlo this time, but their mentors aren't sending food because they're playing safe. sheaf is annoyed, but she isn't like coral and mizzen. she thinks she can kill if it comes down to that, but she doesn't have the same physical strength that panlo does. making enemies by attacking people first is a sure way to die if they fail to finish them off. it's a slow path to starving, and the snakes that come are almost a mercy.
sheaf wakes up in the train and decides that those rainbow snakes are a terrifying way to die. she tries over and over and over again in dozens of different ways, getting further and further into the games with each iteration of events that she finds working. it's one selfish path that sees her as the victor- not saving brandy, hiding with panlo, taking out anyone sneakily in the tunnels if they cross their paths, and being ready to climb and avoid the snakes. lucy gray sings, and the snakes do not attack her. she's done this once before, but now she knows of the snake that lucy gray is hiding up her sleeve and acts quicker. that's it. there's blood on sheaf's hands, of so many lives that it had taken to get to this point, but the games are over.
she's won. she's finally won, and she can go home.
except, she is declared victor, and wakes up back on the train still. sheaf has a bit of a breakdown at that. so many tries, so many repetitions, she's finally been able to win, and that wasn't it? why was she repeating all this if not to get home? and she thinks she understands. it's the same reason that she was not surprised to hear her name. d9 did not want an orphan like her to come back. they wanted someone useful, someone like panlo. all these loops were to get panlo home, she thinks, and she starts again with that new goal.
except- that isn't it either. sheaf takes a dozen tries and a dozen more to get the right set of events for them to survive through it all. then it's down to only the two of them. sheaf and panlo. panlo does not want to die, but he does not want to kill her either. it's fine. sheaf has died plenty, and she knows all the ways to die first. he'll be the victor. he'll get to go home. sheaf will make sure of it. and she takes herself out of the games. sheaf dies, and she wakes again.
sheaf freaks out even harder than she had when she realized that her being victor wasn't the solution. if her winning wasn't the end, and panlo winning wasn't the end, then what was it? and as she's dumped in the capitol zoo, as she goes through the motions all over again, she comes to her realization. sheaf keeps brandy from killing arachne, and she thinks you deserve to go home. sheaf diffuses the one-sided beef with otto and thinks you deserve to go home. sheaf does her best to get them all through the arena bombing, and that thought rights through her mind with each tribute. you deserve to go home, i deserve to go home, we all deserve to go home.
so she starts off with a new plan. get them all out of hunger games. that loop is a bit of a loss, but she wakes up again and immediately talks with the other tributes in the cattle car she's in. (i'm going with d3 in this case) sheaf lays everything out about the time travel and loops. obviously, they're super skeptical, but she's been through this a lot and had gathered a bit of information about circ and teslee. it's not much, but it's definitely more than a girl from a different district should know about them if they truly "just met". and that's enough to create a tentative alliance.
by the time they reach the zoo, they've brainstormed a few ideas, and try to get the other tributes roped in on it. no one wants to die in the arena, but a risky plan where the capitol might to worse to them and their families if caught? it's a hard sell. no one is going to snitch, but not many are willing to join up. at this point, sheaf knows her mentor is useless (at least in regards to wanting to help her), but there's three that she knows always comes around: lucy gray's mentor, marcus's mentor, and brandy's mentor.
arachne is obviously not an option because she has zero sympathy for their situation. just because she consistently appears doesn't mean that sheaf has any interest in trying to appeal to such an unpleasant person. she's been put off by coriolanus from the amount of times that she's seen him act when hopping aboard the tribute truck (she's pretty sure he's only out to help lucy gray, and would see her dead to support "his" tribute).
so that leaves sejanus, and she knows he'll be around with the sandwiches soon. however, sheaf knows she can't talk to him for long without making it suspicious, so they have to get marcus on board the plan. this turns out to be much more difficult than planned because marcus has some personal beef with sejanus, which is where they learn that sejanus is actually from d2.
downside is that marcus is still resistant to talking to sejanus. upside is that the other tributes learning that sejanus is district gets them on board- there's hope there.
if he's not actually capitol, then he might actually be willing to help an escape plan, right? (ik this is supposed to be sheaf-centric but my brain inserts sejanus into everything) with the power of peer pressure (aka mizzen's puppy eyes), marcus reluctantly agrees to talk to sejanus. he's very on board an escape plan and tries to help them as best as he can. the only issue is that it's a very clunky plan & it crashes and burns hard.
sheaf wakes up back on the train with dampened spirits. she isn't completely ready to give up just yet though, so the next couple of loops are information gathering loops. she needs everyone on board, which means she needs a quick way for everyone to trust her for the "ideal" loop. once she gets enough knowledge, she tries over from the start, getting everyone caught up with the "i'm a time traveller & here's info i couldn't have known unless you told me" bit, and they're off with another try to get the heck out of the hunger games. they ultimately decide that they can't escape all at once.
the plan ends up being a mix of everything. it's shouting at arachne and laying into her about her behavior, which veers into the behavior of other visitors in the crowd who also thought taunting them with food was "funny". most storm off in anger, but some who were only spectating are uncomfortable (it's not much yet, but it builds). it's talking with sejanus and getting him to bring supplies that circ and teslee can use to hack the cameras. it's getting close with more sympathetic mentors for more food (in the absence of the visitors that they shouted away) to get them supplied for their escape, and invested enough in them to turn a blind eye when they're taken in for those questionnaires and more than a few of them slip away.
it's the panic of some tributes managing to get away leading to more mistakes happening. it's treech slipping away with the keys to the enclosure. it's reaper, marcus, and panlo wearing peacekeeper uniforms to give the illusion that the cage is still guarded (in uniform, no one can really tell the difference if they're not paying close enough attention). it's sejanus getting the tools for circ and teslee that "coincidentally" see the cameras at the zoo conveniently broken. it's sheaf working extra hard to get friendly with androcles that keeps the news from slandering them as badly as it might have otherwise. and it's one night where all these factors collide where the enclosure turns out completely empty, with no guards, no footage as to where they went, and no signs of a breakout by force.
sheaf has lived the path of the arena and the games many, many, many times, but this is the first that they're all out. she doesn't know where to go from here, but if this escape doesn't work- well. she's got plenty more chances to make sure that she gets it right the next time (or the next, or the next). she's quite done trying to win the capitol's games. sheaf plans to break the entire game apart.
i like to think that they escape from there! there's a lot of different ideas that could happen- like maybe after the loop where she ensures that panlo wins, he joins the loop with her. (aka victors join the time loop) or maybe the loop is iterative. every time she does something right, she wakes up at a new later point, rather than back at the train every time. like after gaining the other tributes' trust, the next time she dies, she wakes up already at the enclosure post-get-thier-trust (basically there's "checkpoints" for each correct action).
in any case, sheaf gets all the tributes working together & out of the capitol. gaul's lab mysteriously gets destroyed. the mentors who were quite attached to their tributes have no clue how that could have happened. highbottom doesn't care enough to continue the games, and stopping them is easy when their popularity had been dropping & there is no head gamemaker pushing for its continuation.
this got pretty long, but it was fun to think about! feel free to send any more thoughts- and thanks for sending this ask bel!! :D

LITTLE BIT OF UHH 3RD LIFE SCOTTISHBEANS I WROTE JUST NOW HEHEHE
Takes place in the last session (in an au where there’s like. More time between events than just an hour or so.)
This is supposed to be a later chapter of a fic I’m working on! I’m doing things out of order 😭 so there are references to scenes I haven’t yet written in it sorry it shouldn’t be THAT bad tbh. When I actually make the fic this chapter will likely be edited whenever it appears haha
SHIP: Scott/Joel
WORD COUNT: 2143
WARNINGS (mostly just things to be aware of): somewhat of neck kissing, implied sexual stuff (just thinking about it very vaguely), flower husbands is mentioned but Jimmy is dead, headcanon with 3L!red!Joel and his monochrome/red skin, once again references to scenes I have not written, it may feel rather ooc but that’s cuz this is meant to be a later chapter so they’re already fairly close, repressing/denying feelings (and some failing at that), some pessimism about the war, NO DIALOGUE (when I planned this out I was like “wait there’s no dialogue” and decided I’d take it as a challenge and really have just no dialogue)
â€ïžđŸ’›đŸ’š
The war had been rough for everyone. It kept all players on edge, no matter how indirect their involvement was. At this point, it was pick a side or die in the crossfire. Scott and Joel had chosen the Desert, but neither of them had much reason to be part of the conflict.
The two had spent the past few days together, constantly running, though Scott could hardly tell if they were running to survive or running to kill. Somewhat of a mix of both, he figured. No matter the reason, they were constantly running, and nice peaceful moments were hard to come by.
Then it happened. They lost their target, the enemy hadn’t seen them yet, they were alone in a remote part of the world. Scott was tired, the grass looked soft, and he flopped himself onto it. Joel was clearly still running on adrenaline despite accepting that it was break time, and so he practically jumped onto Scott, grabbed him, and rolled with him.
Scott had grown used to the annoying ways Joel would throw himself at Scott and jostle him around. He figured it was a red life thing. Jimmy had also become more physical after turning red, though never so aggressive. Through observing others, Scott knew that suppressing violent urges was harder for most reds than Jimmy made it look. Joel tackling Scott was clearly not an act of violence, rather an act of affection. He typically only did stuff like that when they had accomplished something, or at least had some fun.
This moment was the opposite of that. They lost their target, and usually Joel was frustrated at that. They weren’t having fun running, either; it was exhausting and anxiety-inducing. And yet, in what should’ve been a moment of catching their breaths and saying “better luck next time,” Joel had rolled in the grass with Scott.
It wasn’t just Joel who acted out of character in that moment, for Scott would usually tell Joel off for playing so rough with him. It was mostly in a friendly manner, as Scott didn’t mind too much, but it could be annoying when unexpected, like in this moment. But instead of doing that, Scott laughed. He held onto Joel, rolling with him, and laughed in delight.
The ground was rather flat, so they didn’t roll very far. Joel sat up next to Scott, giggling with him. Scott figured that if Joel wasn’t going to lay in the grass, he wouldn’t either, and sat up as well, feeling a little dizzy from all the movement.
Scott shook his head and briefly brushed his hair with his hands, hoping to remove any dirt or grass. It wasn’t a thorough job, so he had to hope he was lucky. He took a look at Joel’s hair, noticing that a few bits of grass had gotten tucked into his hair, enough to turn monochrome as well.
Scott managed to pull out one piece of grass before Joel swatted his hand away. Scott glared at Joel, who tried to glare back but was still smiling. Scott wasn’t sure what that was about, but rolled his eyes and pulled Joel closer to remove the grass from his hair.
He knew that touching Joel’s hair like this made Joel flustered, but it needed to be done. Besides, he couldn’t care about Joel’s expression when he was too busy observing how the grass would regain color when taken out of Joel’s hair. Sure, he had experimented with this phenomenon in the past (don’t think about the flower) but it was never not fun to witness.
Scott was finally finished (it shouldn’t have taken so long, but watching colors change can be so distracting
) and pulled away to get a full look at Joel. His face was about as red as he expected (red being the only color allowed on Joel’s body was pretty unfortunate because it made his blush very obvious
but Scott didn’t feel bad for him). The sight made Scott chuckle and ruffle Joel’s hair.
Joel had accepted this fate (it was obvious that he had, otherwise Scott wouldn’t have been able to remove the grass at all). He seemed annoyed and embarrassed, yet once Scott’s hand left his head he moved himself onto Scott’s lap.
This surprised Scott, but instead of showing it or becoming flustered and embarrassed, it just made him happy. He wrapped his arms around Joel at the same time Joel did, sighing contentedly. For some reason this made Joel laugh quietly, and laughter had felt quite contagious in this moment so Scott giggled back.
There was no reason for them to be doing this. It didn’t make sense. And yet, it felt so right. The world was falling apart around them, everyone knew it was endgame, there would be no peace. Scott and Joel had nothing left to hold onto, nothing left to fight for, but they had each other. They hadn’t had each other a week ago, in fact they were quite against each other. But in the last moments of the world, the only thing they had was each other. It should’ve been sad. It should’ve been awkward. But Scott was having a great time.
Scott cupped Joel’s face in his hands to look at him. Joel’s face showed that he was also enjoying his time with Scott. This moment felt perfect. It was the most perfect moment in the world. There was one thing his heart wanted to do. He leaned in and kissed Joel

on the cheek. They’re not in love! They’re not married! They were just two soldiers doing mindless battles together. A kiss on the cheek is enough for that- maybe even too much, really. They hadn’t even declared themselves friends yet (mostly that’s because there was no reason to. There would be nothing after the war worth having friends for).
But as Scott pulled away, he could feel it wasn’t enough. He knew it was enough, he thought it was maybe too much, but he felt that it wasn’t enough. He couldn’t stop himself from leaning in for another kiss: planted right on Joel’s other cheek. Surely that would be enough.
Of course, it wasn’t. Scott continued like this, kissing all over Joel’s face (never too close to the mouth) and thinking each time “that’s it. I’m done. That’s enough.” but never really feeling that. He failed to stop himself from kissing Joel, but was able to stop himself from kissing him on the lips.
The only person Scott had kissed was his husband, Jimmy. He couldn’t imagine doing that to anyone else. Even though Jimmy was dead, it didn’t make sense to Scott to move on so quickly. Well, with Jimmy it didn’t take long to fall in love either
no, no, what is this train of thought?! Scott loved Jimmy, so much. He did not love Joel, not at all. They were barely acquaintances. A few nights sleeping under the stars together couldn’t have changed that, right?
Scott could not bear the thought of moving on from Jimmy, which meant he couldn’t bear the thought of loving Joel, which meant he couldn’t bear the thought of kissing him on the lips. And yet, he needed to. Every quick kiss he planted onto Joel’s face didn’t satiate his desire at all. He wanted more, so much so that the rational part of his brain was struggling to stop him.
At this point, it was almost worse than just kissing Joel. An endless stream of kisses, all over his face (minus his mouth). That’s gotta be worse at this point, right? But Scott couldn’t stop. The part of Scott that didn’t want to make Joel uncomfortable noted that Joel hadn’t made even a noise of protest, and he knew that if Joel didn’t like this he would be shoved off instantly. The rest of Scott’s brain didn’t want to think of the implications of Joel liking this. Repressing feelings is much easier when it’s not mutual. If Joel had shoved Scott away, he wouldn’t be having this dilemma at all.
Scott had found a way to rationalize what he was doing. He just missed Jimmy so much, that he was desperate to give affection like he had with Jimmy. Surely, he would be acting like this to anybody, not just Joel. He even extended this rationality to Joel, deciding that he had just been so lonely this whole season that he would take affection from anyone, it had nothing to do with Scott.
None of this was true, but Scott held onto this idea. He wasn’t in love with Joel, he just missed Jimmy so much. Joel didn’t love Scott, he was just lonely (that one, at least, was more believable. Still not true). This is what Scott would tell himself any time he would think back to this moment. He would believe it, too, no matter how much his heart proved the theory wrong.
Scott had begun doing a circle of kisses around Joel’s face, starting from one cheek and going up from there, then to Joel’s forehead, then down to the other cheek. As previously mentioned he tried to stop himself each time, but obviously, it was never enough, and he had to complete the circle.
Once he reached Joel’s other cheek, he still wasn’t satisfied, and it technically wasn’t a circle unless he crossed over to the other cheek again. He would never kiss Joel on the mouth though, so he began kissing downwards, towards Joel’s chin. This is where things went wrong (or maybe right).
After Scott kissed Joel’s chin (kind of an awkward place to kiss, honestly) Joel had tilted his head up. Exposing his neck. Scott did not hesitate to press his lips against Joel’s neck. He did, however, hesitate to go much further than that. This much more intimate position snapped Scott out of his haze of wanting to kiss Joel.
His lips rested on Joel’s neck a moment longer, the moment Scott was trying to figure out what was going on. When he finally realized, he pulled away. Joel seemed to also take a moment to figure out what had happened before lowering his head. This made their eyes meet, and they stared at each other dumbfounded; like neither of them knew what was going on. Honestly, they probably didn’t. Everything that just transpired was so spontaneous.
Joel’s face was very red, and Scott imagined his own face wasn’t too different. Scott wanted to say something, but what? Sorry for almost kissing you on the neck? That was hardly Scott’s fault, Joel was the one who exposed his neck for Scott!! Sorry for NOT kissing you on the neck?! He’s recently been widowed! He can’t just go immediately kissing another man’s neck!
Why had Joel done that anyway?! Scott could hardly believe it. A red name who had spent a decent amount of time trying to kill him just exposed his neck to Scott. To kiss. Scott was a yellow name! Joel’s supposed to want to kill him, he did want to kill him in the past, but in this moment he had silently asked Scott to kiss his neck. And Scott almost did. God, what were they doing?!
Joel must’ve been really embarrassed, but Scott couldn’t tease him for it, not when he was also acting so
intimate. Scott tried to think back to figure out who started it, but the memory almost felt hazy and he got too embarrassed thinking about it so he gave up. It didn’t matter who started it anyway; they both indulged. Indulged quite a bit
what would’ve happened if Scott didn’t stop where he had? How far would they have gone?! Now this thought was too embarrassing for Scott to dwell on. Surely Joel wouldn’t have wanted to go THAT far

After a while of staring at each other, Joel got off Scott’s lap and looked away. Wow, he was really embarrassed. He looked so small like this. Scott felt bad; having been the one who stopped that interaction he could at least pretend he didn’t want it. He wouldn’t do that to Joel, though. The only person he’d lie to about that is himself.
Scott laid down on the grass. It was incredibly awkward between the two, and neither could seem to say anything about it. It seemed best to just rest. Slow that heart rate to normal, breathe. This is what they should’ve been doing when they stopped in the field. Resting. Without touching.
Neither of them moved to interact with each other. Eventually, they got up to continue the war. Neither of them spoke of that moment ever again.
It was just a moment of weakness on both their parts; Joel being lonely and Scott missing Jimmy. They didn’t want each other. Not at all.

RFA x Mc watching Titanic
So TikTok is filled with edits of Jack and Rose and gosh - I loved this Movie so much, that I even had a Titanic Shirt and a Mug of it. And a pillow and a poster. Okay now - enjoy the first Headcanon after my Hiatus.
Tumblr media
Jumin
,,Blankets, Snacks, Drinks. We have everything!“ you clapped your hands as Jumin led you into the private rented cinema.
It was the 25th anniversary of the movie Titanic and even though you watched it a few times back then when you were younger, Jumin Han never did.
However, this was going to change and you were excited to get his reaction.
Well, you couldn’t check on him at all because you were bawling.
You were holding his hand and his other arm was holding your waist as you tried to muffle your sobs.
Seeing so many people not being able to escape made your heart tremble.
Jumin was rubbing your palm, trying to calm you down, but the movie made you always react the same - crying like crazy over fictional characters.
Jumin was still silent, eyes set on the screen.
No reaction was shown until old Rose went to sleep and Rose and Jack met again at the stairs.
Only then you could hear his sobs when you gasped for air.
He was crying.
Thick tears were rolling down his cheeks.
You quickly wiped off his tears, looking deep into his eyes.
The music was still playing loudly but you could hear his words.
,,If the ship we’re on was ever to sink, I would react like him. I would gladly drown in ice cold water for you,“ he confessed, making you sob even harder.
Zen
,,I don’t think I will like it,“ he mumbled when you pulled him towards the entrance of the cinema.
It was in the movies - how couldn’t you go?
You fell in love with Leonardo DiCaprio aka Jack when you were fifteen and now you could finally watch him on the big screen.
Even in -
,,4D?! Hyun, we have to!“ you gasped and before he could say anything, you paid for the tickets.
Zen afterwards insisted on buying popcorn and drink and since this was a long movie, he bought the biggest bowl.
Sweet popcorn of course.
The movie began and you remembered just how much you loved the sight when Jack stood behind Rose.
Her thinking she was flying
 just everything was perfect.
,,It‘s sinking,“ he gasped, Rose and Jack were holding onto the railing, the blonde woman let go and crashed into darkness.
Suddenly you heard someone sniffling and - it was Zen.
He sobbed and tried to not let the whole cinema hear at that point that he was devastated.
,,He‘s dead, isn’t he?“ he asked you, after Rose tried to shake him awake.
Now both of you were bawling your eyes out.
No one was as loud as you guys were.
Luckily, both of you thought about bringing sunglasses with you in the middle of February because your eyes were swollen red, tears smuggled your mascara and you guys just looked hilarious.
Yoosung
,,I don’t want to ugly sob in the cinema,“ you begged Yoosung who was just purchasing tickets online for the cinema.
He laughed, trying to tell you that it would be alright, but he never watched the movie so how could he know?
He was wrong.
He was the first of the both of you to sob.
He was the one who actually sobbed into your arm.
,,There would have been enough space for him!“ He argued on the way to the car. Yoosung was holding his red glasses as he tried wiping off his tears.
Your lips were still trembling from the hiccups as you shook your head.
,,There wasn’t enough space. It would have-”
,,So you would have let me die in the cold water if it was us?“ he asked you.
With disbelief you smacked his shoulder.
,,I wouldn’t need you to survive now let’s go to dinner,“
Well, the both of you had the same discussion over and over until you even searched up a documentary if Jack would have fit on the door.
Jaehee
,,Oh, that’s the movie everyone’s talking about,“ Jaehee said after she came from the shower, getting under the blankets in your bed.
,,Yeah, Titanic. I remember how much I cried after seeing Leonardo DiCaprio in another movie, happy that he at least was alive,“ you chuckled to yourself.
,,Why, does he die?“ she asked you.
With that you knew that you just spoiled her and that she never watched Titanic.
Business was booming at the moment, and for Valentine's Day you had so many reservations that you feared the cakes for that day wouldn’t be enough.
Still, you decided to keep that one day in the week closed and used that free day to drag Jaehee to the cinema in Seoul and watch Titanic with her.
She guessed that upon hearing of his death, she wouldn’t be that sad.
But she was so wrong.
Seeing how much they loved, how impossible it seemed, intense and deep their love was, and how big the loss afterwards was, Jaehee crumbled.
She sobbed as she held your hand and couldn’t imagine that someone other than Zen would have such an impact on her.
However, Jack had.
Saeyoung
,,As if I am paying for an old movie,“ Saeyoung laughed as he hacked god only knows what and who.
He managed to get the movie started on the TV and honestly you didn’t care as long as you could rewatch the movie.
Saeran at first wanted to literally piss off into his room but you - despite it being Valentine's Day - didn’t allow him.
Instead, Chinese Food was ordered, the three of you sat down on the red couch, you got a blanket and tissues, and you all watched the movie.
The twins for the first time and you for the fourth?
The movie began and everyone was quickly absorbed into it.
You were almost laying on Saeyoung who was tickling your arm while Saeran sat next to you, his feets over yours.
At some point both of them got rather emotional.
,,They’re just kids
aren’t they all the same?“ Saeran asked you, his eyes showed pure
sadness.
,,She‘s going without him! She‘s saving herself!“ Saeyoung gasped when Rose was about to get saved with her mother.
You stayed silent
and when she jumped out

The real sobs were beginning now.
For the three of you.
Until the movie finished.

Based on your Arnagrahd and Erland fic and that whole history behind the characters, what do you think those two are like after the separation?
Do you think they could have ever met in private?
(I loved your fic and characterisation of those two so much)
Nonnie, I owe you my life for this ask, thank you so much for sending it!! I could talk about these two and their tragedy forever.
So, starting with what little we do know about their final confrontation and lives afterwards: Arnaghad pulled up to Morgraig with a group of likeminded witchers, expecting a fight, and the Order was likewise prepared to fight him. Erland hoped that Arnaghad would just leave quietly, but they wound up fighting, not just as groups, but each other, personally. All of which left me with a lot of questions that I tried my best to fill in with that fic.
Why would Arnaghad, autonomy-obsessed loner that he is, even form a school instead of just fucking off to do his own thing?
Why and how would he convince anyone to join him?
Why did Erland have these hopes for Arnaghad, and why was he so hurt by Arnaghad slashing him?
My headcanon is basically that the history written about the Bears was mostly written by other witchers, and they rather conveniently left some things out, burned by the betrayal. If all Arnaghad cared about was his own interests and independence, there would be no reason to ally with other witchers, much less to create more of them. If he only saw witchering as a job, and cared for no witcher but himself, why bother? So, while not completely erasing his tendencies for hyper-independence and brutal pragmatism, my idea is that he had to have cared about witchers as a group, if not as individuals, and truly believed that his own teachings would help them survive. Not only that, but his reasoning had to have been good enough to convince enough of the others to put up a fight at Morgraig (since you read the fic, you know).
And that's the last question: why would he go into a fight he knew he would lose, when, again, he could have just taken his allies and left? Fighting at Morgraig makes absolutely no sense, unless he and his allies had something to gain from it, which I propose was trying to get more witchers to join their side. This was Arnaghad's last chance to, in his mind, protect witchers from being taken advantage of, and that's why he was willing to risk it, and why he charged Erland, the symbol of everything he was against.
And that's where the separation leaves them: Erland grieving, left with a wounded face and a crumbling Order to try and pull together, and Arnaghad halfway across the Continent, fully committed to building his new school. Their only common threads are the fact that they both care about preserving witchers, and that they're both entirely stubborn as to how that should be done.
What I tried to portray in my story was based off of that hope that Erland still had before the battle —he really still believed it was possible for this to end without violence. So I can only imagine how that hope would turn to anger. Erland would resent Arnaghad for, not just scarring his face, but also making his own ideal of a united witcher code impossible, and as we see from his history, he only doubles down harder. Self-righteous and just as firm in his belief of what's best for witchers, he pushes his ideal forward even as the Order crumbles around him, only leaving when he has nothing but scraps. His idealism doesn't die, not until he does. He firmly believes that with his honor code and commitment to dealing fairly with mages and royals, witchers can become the respected knight-figures they probably deserve to be.
Meanwhile, Arnaghad is kind of buried in his own problems, and it's generally always easier being the one who left. He's stablishing his school, training new boys, and dealing with the Viper schism. Despite all that, he has long since been resigned to his plan, which I also tried to portray in my story, so I honestly think he's less drastically emotionally affected in the aftermath. He already decided that this was what he was going to do, that he would have to hurt Erland to do it, and that was a price he was willing to pay. I do think he's still frustrated with Erland, for what he views as naivety and vulnerability that witchers can't afford. But I don't think he resents Erland the way Erland would resent him, because Erland's school doesn't really affect him or his bears.
All that to say, I don't think they would meet up purposely. Erland would be too bitter and proud to arrange it, and Arnaghad likely considers it a loose string he cut years ago. However, if they did somehow meet accidentally, I think Erland would probably turn the courtly manners up to 11 and Arnaghad would just shut anything he said down as quickly as possible until the Skelliger came out and they just started fighting/fucking/both again. Erland would probably slip out, angry and ashamed of himself. Arnaghad would probably be ashamed too, for failing to live up to his own ideals.
Anyway, rant (probably) over. Thank you so much nonnie, I'm glad you liked the fic!

preface: i was writing a list of my headcanons for funsies and got completely derailed with angsty grimmons shit that needs to be scooped out of that post because it’s stupid long. so here
grif worked in honolulu a couple years after hs graduation until kai was old enough (17) he felt he could leave. did a year at university before realizing he’s smart enough to be admitted to cornell but not to get the scholarship he realistically needs to not be in crushing debt on graduation, and also there’s not nearly enough regimentation to college life to prevent him from rotting in bed paralyzed by “oh my god i don’t have Responsibilities That Need To Be Done Right Now for the first time in forever and idk what to do now” and executive dysfunction. went through basic and stationed on the doomed outpost. That Whole Thing (a polite way of saying “sneaking off for a nap on duty, sleeping through a massacre, and waking up to find literally everyone else dead”) was the nail in the coffin that pretty much shot his last shred of motivation and hope to shit, and based on his behaviour and psych eval afterwards (best summarized as “learned helplessness that everything is shit always and he’s useless and never gonna be able to help anyone so 👍 fuck everything fuck everyone just try to eke some hedonistic joy out of life before you die”) he was reassigned to the sim soldiers.
meanwhile simmons tried to do university several times and had to drop out for mental health reasons (a very polite way of putting “rapid spiral into absolute disaster every time”. it leaves room for giving him the benefit of the doubt that this was a proactive “ah i should take care of myself and this is not working for me :) #selfcare #therapy” decision. this is not benefit of the doubt that anyone who knows him would extend.).
I go back and forth on whether to roll with the “that one throwaway line with a suspiciously specific hypothetical of being in a unit that was stranded and had to eat their dog to survive” thing or just say he was assigned straight to sim troopers. on the one hand, i really love grif and simmons having a parallel immensely traumatic first assignment that made them both Worse in kinda similar kinda opposite ways in line with the ways they were each already fucked up
(grif “life is inherently a garbage fire. i am useless. all i can do is look out for myself and save my own hide by absolute never trusting any authority, refusing to get attached to the other fuckers around here (they’d hate me anyways so just let them hate me), and obsessively hoarding any access to food and shelter and comfort because Maslow said I can’t work on health or belonging or esteem until i do :/ yeah i know, sorry, i’ve got a doctor’s note from him right here.” vs simmons “my life is a garbage fire probably because everyone around me is an idiot fucking something up but also because i’m not trying hard enough. i’m sure if i keep Performing The Maladaptive Behaviours even harder they will work and i THEN will feel respected and powerful and loved. you see you just have to keep repressing every feeling so you can suck up to anyone you detect a whiff of Authority Figure on no matter how little you actually respect them, and follow EVERY RULE and work and work and work. and you had better abandon any compunctions about things like eating a dog you loved or backstabbing a friend for brownie points from the CO who hates him or Literally Murdering your CO for a promotion. and if you ever stop desperately trying, fighting dirty looking out just for yourself, and instead just sit still for a moment and enjoy sincere zero-ulterior-motives connections with people, you will probably definitely immediately die of starvation or exposure (it is a metaphor you see. of exposure to the elements while stranded without resources. for the agonizing exposure of allowing yourself to be known.)”)
on the other hand i’m like whoa now. this boy’s got enough problems we really don’t need to be giving him any more or we’re really never gonna pry him free of the woobiefication fics.

Your posts involving Ambulon have got me thinking, and I propose another slightly bittersweet sort of zombie au:
So, as much as I’m open to just about anything happening (it’s the zombie apocalypse, I’m guessing even some of the strongest and most self-sufficient people in the world probably end up getting infected just because of small mistakes or overlooks or empathy), I want to believe SO BADLY that Ambulon is probably out there somewhere, way off the radar, either working on figuring out how to reverse the effects or just stop it altogether.
First Aid definitely strikes me as the pediatrician sort of doctor. Ambulon, on the other hand, makes me think of someone who’s been drawn to the immunologyor maybe a virology. Probably works/has worked with Pharma in the past. I don’t know how they would have met and bonded if this were the case though. You could say that maybe Ambulon was sort of First Aid’s backup or support through medical school, maybe a mentor. Or all of those, who knows. Either way, they’re very close and First Aid was probably gutted when he lost contact with Ambulon during the first couple of weeks of the “end of the world.”
Ambulon kind of strikes me as someone who’s very, very self-sufficient. Probably doesn’t have close family ties, probably lives alone, probably owns some property off the grid somewhere. When shit hit the fan, it sucked, yeah, but I think he’s probably a little less sensitive to the dying or to-be-dead than First Aid. Don’t get me wrong, he makes an excellent doctor, but I do believe it would’ve been easier for him to pack up and head out when he realized things were becoming irreversible than it would’ve been for First Aid.
ANYWAY, enough backstory lol. I feel like as much as he tries to hide it, First Aid is a pretty open book. He’s very compassionate, very tender, but like
also an easy target. Thankfully, though, Ambulon isn’t out for blood! This just makes it easier to figure out where First Aid is heading and where he’s currently staying—that is, once Ambulon needs to get more supplies and deems it “safe” to head back out into the world.
Gonna try to sum this up in one more paragraph but cue a knock at the Combaticon’s farmhouse one day, everyone’s like “hey what the fuck” because zombies can’t knock, right..? And if it were a survivor looking to ransack their house, they would’ve just come bursting through the door with weapons raised. While Onslaught runs a quick human inventory to make sure no one slipped out of the house when he wasn’t watching, First Aid decides hey, he’s gonna go check it out. It’s been, like
two minutes now, the person is knocking harder, and the entire Combaticon family, despite their reputation, is adamant that NO ONE opens the door. Just imagine First Aid’s shock when he opens up the door to find none other than Ambulon standing there, desperately trying to keep his expression stern and stoic to mask the joy and relief he feels at seeing First Aid standing there, unharmed, still okay, still ALIVE. First Aid is in utter shock, and so are the rest of the farmhouse’s inhabitants. It takes a good thirty seconds or so until Ambulon clears his throat and is like “well? You gonna let me in or what?”
Would go on but that’s already a big ramble as it is. But yeah, just a weekly zombie au ask to give your brain something to consider.
It deleted my response AUGH. Okay. ANYWAY.
I think Ambulon could survive because it’s interesting. Could be fun. Really the secret with all writing is you choose who lives and dies based off any number off seemingly arbitrary reasons. So you could have Ambulon alive, or dead; he could have died early on, he could mimic the storyline of the comics and survive then die to some betrayal, he could end up being a sole survivor.
I do Headcanon Ambulon as an immunologist; I can see him having a weak immune system because of some illnesses, so he likes working in the field itself. They probably went to school together and are still friends, maybe they still go out to lunch together; could even work in the same hospital. Endless possibilities.
Really, like any AU, I like seeing people take their favorite character and play around with them- say, Rewind for instance. How would he survive a zombie apocalypse? Would someone have more fun writing him as a survivor in a group, or alone, or dead early on and haunting the narrative. So YEA Ambulon being alive is definitely a fun idea for me. Schrodingers Ambulon.

Remastered 9 headcanons for the painful experiment AU part 1
so, remember this?
I decided to remaster those headcanons cuz I didn't like those so much, so, here you go
oh, something else, this is part of a fan saga called "Magic of Love and Doom AU", it's basically a saga full of AUs of other series and movies, but well, back to the topic
TW: blood, death, murderer, mental diseases (maybe), gore, hardcore topics
please have discretion before reading
Important fact: the story takes place in Roanoke city, Virginia (idk, I'll explain that later)
9:
Tumblr media
Before he was created, the scientist had already lost a child and later, he had a new one, but the scientist couldn't get throught the lost of his first son, so, after the 8 other stitchpunks, 9 was created to live with the scientist and his wife in loving memory of their first son, so 9 was raised by the couple like he was their own son
He has slight PTSD, seeing his "adoptive mother" dying by demons was hard, but more harder was seeing his "adoptive baby brother" dying by demons, so that was the fuel for his nightmares and mental breakdowns
He has like a "magic gift" that was given to him in the moment of waking up, it's unknown why, this "magic gift is chlorokinesis (power of making or manipulating plants and vegetation)
the reason 9 went to a laboratory is because the scientist had some time working for the chancellor, the chancellor heard about 9 and he made the scientist bring 9 to the chancellor so he could experiment with him
9 killed like a whole fcking laboratory, litteraly killed EVERYONE in there
Everytime he has nightmares, he wakes up crying and he needs comfort from Tom (his partner)
has scars all over his body due to the experiments
he's bisexual
he loves felines, especially lions
he's unhinged and traumatized, but he tries to hide it
a murderer that only wants to live in peace
9 was seriously sick before for unknown reasons, it’s like hanahaki disease but this was not about love, it’s expeculated that is from a fungus, but it’s unknown yet, the cure it’s quirurgic interventions or else, the person could die, 9 was about to die if it wasn’t for Tom, who took him quickly to the hospital and he survived
he has now shadow magic
it doesn't matter, when he's in a relationship (friendship or love), he can be over protective and a bit more yandere
if he feels betrayed by that person he was with a relationship, he won't hesitate in threating and scaring that person, almost harassing that person
sometimes he goes in prolonged trances, his whole of his face goes dark and his eyes are replaced with more realistic ones instead of his optics, so someone has to snap the fingers or clap twice
but every scary thing, murder or injury he makes to someone else, is unconsciously
he loves children cuz they remind him her baby brother
sometimes he likes to wear dresses, so he's femboy
7:
Tumblr media
She hates cats, and has a good reason to do it
She had a fight with the cat demon (cat beast) when she leaved 1's mansion, that's the same reason why she has a big scar in her back and why she hates cats
BUT, she ADORES dogs so much
when she gets really mad, she can be very violent due to anger issues
before she met the rest of the gang, she was a lonely person, nothing to do or go, until the demon massacre
during that event, the first stitchpunk she met was 5 in the moment he lost his eye
she lived with 1 and the others for only 2 years
the reason she lived the gang's house was for 1's questionable actions and decisions, of course, she left with the twins
before she became a demon hunter, she met Bing Bong, in that moment, he escaped the Sun and Moon Temple (Sundrop's and Moondrop's temple...I can explain later), 7 became Bing Bong's friend, but still, she was sad because she leaved the other ones with 1, so she spend somedays crying in her bed
days later she could control herself and move on, so she leaved Bing Bong's house with a goodbye note, so she could learn how to defend herself
Elder Kettle train her to use the katana
as months passed, she was very good at using it

"Really?"
Shhh its ok, sit down-
Katherine's relationship with the originals is- like all of her relationships, complicated. As a whole they are her enemy. A group of co-dependent psychos that have done nothing but cause her pain.
However individually, most of them have played their own role in life.
Kol- In the five hundred years Katherine spent running from Klaus she hadn't really encountered Kol. Not face to face. She'd seen him around but they never interacted. If that was because he just didn't care to alert the masses Katerina had been spotted, or if he genuinely hand't noticed her while being a ripper party boy- she doesnt care. Either way, she has no real beef with Kol past him being a Mikaelson in general.
Finn- She does not know this man, but she knows hes broing and hates vampires and so he is not someone she wants to talk to, ever.
Rebekah- So much potential to be besties here but shes twice as arrogant as Katherine with half as much to back it up. Shes whiny, and while Katherine sympathizes with the way Klaus has ruin her life, she does not appreciate her taking it out on Katherine. Really they clash because they are a lot alike and there can only be one petulant little brat who wants to be loved. It's Katherine shes coined that slot so Rebekah will have to fuck off and fill a different one.
Katherine also hates how Rebekah defends Klaus. Just full stop.
Klaus- "Thats a funny way to spell rat bastard." While he is not the only one who ruined her life he is the biggest contributing factor and the monster in her closet. He destroyed her life, he destroyed HER. Tearing her apart bit by bit, piece by piece over the centuries. He killed Katerina Petrova and influenced the birth of Katherine Pierce. Forced her to get better smarter faster stronger harder all to survive his revenge for her slight. She spent five hundred years alive but barely got to live any of it because she refused to die for Klaus' gain. He bacame to her what his father was to him, but she could never fully reach the monster that he is. She just isn't capable of that.
Elijah- Now this is the Mikaelson she has the most complicated relationship with. Elijah was her first real love. The one you never forget, the one that stays with you. She never stopped loving him, but he also enables his brother's revenge on her. He rarely steps inbetween them in a way that matters, and he has repeatedly picked Klaus over her. Katherine's life is a series of "You could never love me the way you love-"
Stefan would never love her the way he loves Elena, and despite their moments in history where their romance and love took the front seat, Elijah would never love her the way he loves his brother. She will always be second choice to the people it matters the most that she be first choice to. Elijah is also the only one left in her life that believes that she is still good and kind, shes just broken and lost. Maybe he sees in her what he sees in Klaus. Maybe thats because he allowed Klaus to tear her to pieces and mold her in his image. Either way, Katherine just might consider Elijah to be the Mikaelson that's hurt her the most out of all of them.

portrayal notes.
at this point in time, my portrayal of zuko is going to be mixed media and heavily headcanon based. the original animation + the live action + the comics. (currently reading them.)
> live action takeaway: zuko's artistic side, the 41st  being spared due to his sacrifice/their loyalty to him, the official agni kai between him and ozai being extended as opposed to zuko not wanting to fight his father. zuko's softer nature at 13: he was timid, and unlike his father and sister, he felt that weight of a loss rather than thinking of it as an honor to die. his harder nature came when he was banished and he had to learn survival so young. he is half-blind and hard of hearing on the left side where he was burned.
> animation takeaway: basically... mostly staying on that course. tweaks to be made between adaptations depending on who i'm writing with.
i think the most important thing to remember is that zuko was 13 when he was humiliated and assaulted by his father in front of a crowd. younger zuko had his mother's personality. he was an honorable teenager who had morals, unlike his father and sister. his burn mark and shaved head are reminders of the shame he brought himself. ("shame" according to his father.) he was thrown to the wild and if not for iroh and the 41st, he could have been far off worse than he was. (!!!not excusing his tantrums, verbal abuse, and harrassing behaviors - merely providing insight.) iroh is the one who showed zuko love and care, and the 41st eventually grew to respect the banished prince. zuko's journey to restoring his honor wasn't for himself. he wanted to be accepted back home and was seeking validation from his father. he was young and didn't realize it at the time just how wrong his father was and could arguably believe that he deserved his punishment.
zuko is not a killer. he may attack and talk big game, he's skilled in firebending and martial arts. but no where on screen or even off has he been seen or hinted at as being a killer during his journey to finding the avatar. emphasis on harrassment. he might bully people and throw flames around while being loud about it, but any chance he'd had to kill someone, he pulls back before he can do anything severe.
zuko learns along the way that the honor he was fighting to restore and the fire nation were wrong. he spent most of his time just trying to find the avatar that he didn't see the harmful and corrupt ways of the fire nation. mind you, he was a child who grew up in a bad setting. he was blind to what the fire nation was doing until he saw it firsthand or encountered those who were victims of the fire nation. dropping his search of the avatar is his means taking the steps of restoring his honor.
zuko doesn't know how to be a teen. he's awkward, unloved by his family aside from iroh, and was never given the chance to process emotions or act like a child. he learns with the gaang, but even then, he's a work in progress.
most importantly: he started off as a villain, ended up as a hero. he didn't see himself as a villain to start. as far as he knew, fire nation was always right and it took venturing out into the world and experiencing hardships to see the truth.
