the parallel between those two scenes shouldn’t be left unnoticed. see how far jaime has come? how much he has changed? he used to believe he’d done all those awful things in the name of love. now, he realises that he’d done them for cersei. he finally sees the difference. jaime's broken free from his sister’s poisinous influence. he’s realised cersei only brings out the bad in him.

brienne, on the other hand, brings out the good. she sees beyond his words and actions. she understands him better than anyone else. and jaime wants to be a better man because of her. he is a better man for her. because brienne has showed him what true love looks like.
