Reliving Roleplay Fever with a Warrior Cat Adventure!

I started this Tumblr account because, like many of you, I’ve been feeling the weight of missing those amazing roleplay moments. You know the ones I mean—the times when everything just clicks, when the stories unfold in ways you never expected, and you’re fully immersed in a world you and others have built together. It’s always those special sessions, that one moment, or maybe a series of memories that you just can’t shake. You know what I’m talking about, right? I think we all have that one RP that we just can’t forget.

I want to get back into roleplay because it’s something I’ve always loved, and there’s just something about the creative energy and the stories we can tell with other people. I’m planning on still talking about roleplays and lore in general, because it’s so interesting seeing everyone’s perspectives and hearing other people's stories. But... I think I might start a roleplay again myself. If I do, it’ll probably be Warrior Cats-based, mostly because who doesn’t feel the nostalgia of being an angry little kitty again? It’s a world with so much to explore and create, and I just think it’d be a fun thing to dive back into.

That said, it’ll likely be a little while before it opens up because I want to get the website set up just right—proper coding, neat layout, all that. I also want to touch up my preexisting litter roll and make sure everything looks nice and polished before I officially launch.

So, if you're interested in joining or just want to hear more, please let me know in the poll! Even if there’s not a huge interest, I’ll definitely still go ahead with it because, honestly, world-building and character creation have always been my absolute favorite parts of roleplaying. No matter what, I think it’s something I’ll enjoy as a hobby.

I would share a pic of the litter generator but its kind of large and even zoomed out it doesn't all fit. I'll try to get a video of it at some point for those interested in that type of thing! Some cool features it currently has:

Genetic Inheritance: Picks traits from both parents or just one for variety!

Mutation Possibilities: Introduces mutation chances (e.g., 0.3-10%) for added surprises.

Fertility System: Adjusts the fertility rate based on genetics, affecting litter sizes and chances of success.

Chance Breakdown: Some traits have multiple chances within chances. For example, the eye roll might first give a chance for heterochromia, and then, if it rolls, it splits further—whether the left eye is mom’s, dad’s, or a random combination!

Prey grows more and more scarce, all of your neighbors have the flu, and it grows harder to lift yourself from the nest with each passing day. How many more losses will it take for you to seek safer grounds or, at least, answers?

In our final arc, things grow the most dire they've ever been. Bravery will be needed now more than ever, and most of all... the Court seeks paws to help in the fight against the end of the world.

We are Bones Like Bare Roots, a warriors-inspired roleplay that explores themes of cosmic horror, found family, and fantasy. We've been open for five years and have a planned end that is entirely dependent on the actions of characters!

We offer a TTRPG style system to add risk and skill into everyday roleplay, are extremely flexible with activity requirements to accommodate disability and busy lives, and will work personally with you on plotlines and character arcs.

Upcoming - Scorched Paws [March 1st]

Scorched Paws is an up and coming Warrior Cats inspired 18+ semi-literate Discord roleplay following two vastly different colonies of cats as they brave an incredibly harsh enviroment: the Desert.

Discover the Metal Scrappers, a colony that thrives in an abandoned junkyard humans left behind many seasons ago allowing the cats to improvise, adapt and overcome the many challenges the desert gave them. With the extra resources, they can now focus on building and inventing, indulging in a more secure style of life.

Or travel with the Wayfinders instead, a semi-nomadic group of cats who roam the corners of the desert to live on the water from wells found by their ancestors. They're hardened survivors, using every resource to its fullest, masters of weaving and using the stars and constellations to get to where they need to be.

Except... Not everything seems to be as it should. Something is changing. And cats can feel it under their paws.

We're looking to offer:

A welcoming community where anyone and everyone can feel safe no matter your identity, focusing on having a fun and engaging environment for folks to spend time in.

A 18+ (no NSFW allowed) space purely for the comfort of our members, as server staff are all adults.

Lax/Minimal activity requirements with a liquid time system to allow members to take things at their own pace without stress.

A world that can (and will!) be changed by the actions of member’s characters and their choices, giving folks the reins to choose where the story goes, both for their own characters and the world at large!

FOG ON BRIGHTER DAYS is an 18+ (sfw) WCRP hosted on Discord, following a group of cats as they found a clan from the ground-up and face the wilderness (and weirdness) around them. The story takes place in a fictionalized setting inspired by the Cape Cod coast. With lore influenced by maritime legend and sailor myths, we aim for a somewhat moody and mysterious world environment— with a groovy 60s twist.

Of the Sun and Rains is an 18+ SFW cat roleplay heavily inspired by Warrior Cats. It is set in a tropical archipelago inspired mainly by the Philippines but also other Southeast Asian countries. There is an addendum to the 18+ rule - if you're not 18 yet, you are allowed to join if you fall under the following grace period: if you're 17 and your birthday is coming up within the next two weeks.

A lot of creative freedom with character designs (not a genetics-based server so you can submit naturally-colored designs that aren't possible in reality)

GENERATIONAL DRAMA is an experimental Warrior Cats roleplay employing monthly time jumps of 12 MOONS (1 YEAR), allowing for players to roleplay many cats throughout the ages of a Clan (or Clans). One can follow a family from mother, to kit, to that kit becoming leader or medicine cat, to that kit's kits, and beyond. While this system will have some rough spots to iron out, with plenty of out of character (OOC) communication and a willingness to go with the flow, I hope this can become a fun way to roleplay Warriors!

GENERATION ONE

ERA OF UNITY OR DIVISION

In the wildlands west of Quietbrook, a story unfolds. Cats of all kinds from all places beyond the sleepy village have slowly gathered here over the years to form Clans, groups of cats gifted rules from Starclan on high to govern and civilize the fickle nature of catkind. Though, none have formed as of now, as Starclan has yet to offer the group a name or select its first Leader. Because of the lack of Starclan's final word, unrest brews in the group of cats that have yet to become a clan. Will they unite, stay together, rally behind a single leader and become one clan? Or shall the unrest tear cats apart before Starclan can offer a word to the contrary, resulting in two, three, or even four clans?

Currently, all cats live on Two Tree island, a beautiful islet set between two wide rivers passable by their relatively shallow water and various tall stones to leap over the water with. Not even a temporary Leader has established themself, so four Duty Heads lead the group for now. Each makes sure a certain parameter of a safe life for the group is met. Head of Prey, Head of Shelter, Head of Protection, and Head of Medicine are a sort of council deciding on courses of action as of now in lieu of Starclan's chosen Leader. Their opinions on who should become leader are divisive, and each has their own strong opinion on just who should get that title, and what they will emphasize in their clan. Some cats are acting like certain Duty Heads are the leader, while others refuse to accept tasks divvied out by any of the four. Unrest is mounting, and Starclan has yet to say a word...

Fall Feast - A day full of hunting leading into a night full of prey and celebration. Usually celebrated on the brightest night of Leaf-Fall 

The Hunt - Basically a game of tag between warriors, while the younger cats and ones not participating celebrate in camp, dressing up in whatever they can find (think Halloween for cats) 

Windclan: 

New Moon gatherings, no work during the day and stay up all night to share-tongues with clanmates and the stars above. 

Wall paintings/carvings - Using paste and dye like materials to draw on the sturdy walls of camp, telling tales of the older times. 

Storytelling is a very important practice here

Winter Solstice (think gift giving and remembering their kin) 

Riverclan: 

Shell necklaces, each with a different accessory to show the personality of the cat and any endeavors they have been in. 

Basket weaving 

Courtship rituals (Gift giving) 

All the clans are open! Roles such as warriors, apprentices, elders, queens and kits are all welcome. Each having a unique role for each of them.

This here is Witheredrose, owned by Planet! Witheredrose here is one of our Overseers and she takes her job very seriously within the clan.

And here we have Dancer owned by @collabwithmyself. Dancer is our first caretaker, and certainly has a lot to handle on their plate atm!

Now, onto one of our several scouts, this right here is Peanut, a personal favorite and owned by @gamerbroduder! He was especially fun to draw with his fur.

Moving onto some younger cats, this right here is Jaybird, Jay is our Herbal student and is shaping up to one day become an excellent Apothecary. Jaybird is owned by @shoomp!

This nervous novice is Magpiepaw! Owned by @dionynic they are training under the different roles of Morrowclan to one day choose what path they shall take.

And last, but certainly not least, we have Ghost. Ghost, owned by sugarcrash, is the first kit of Corpses Unearthed, and as its clear at such a young age he has already been through quite a lot! This is a 15+ WC:UE prophecy roleplay taking place in the four original clans and territories with entirely reimagined lore played both in-game and with text sessions in the Discord server. New rites and ceremonies include The Threading, The Night of the Battle, Air the Den, and The Last Waters. In this story, StarClan is based in the idea of reincarnation and redemption rather than the Heaven/Hell parallels of the Dark Forest introduced in the fourth arc of Warriors. The four clans are also developed to be more separate, with roles as follows (with more to come soon):

Storytellers preserve the history of their clans and communicate with their ancestors through the earth and at the Moonstone. They are also responsible for conducting ceremonies.

Menders are skilled healers who use herbs and their paws to care for the clan. They mend dens, clean nests, and tend to wounds.

Den Mothers are either expecting or nursing kits, or they have dedicated themselves to raising and guiding the young of the clan in finding their calling.

Elders are retired cats who have earned their rest. They reside in the elders’ den, cared for by the clan they once helped raise.

Apprentices are cats over the age of six moons who has decided their calling.

A Springtail is a young cat with the “Paw” suffix who has not yet chosen a specific calling and, therefore, cannot be considered an Apprentice.

Kits any cat under six moons old who has yet to decide on a calling and cannot leave camp without supervision.

A Premier is the leader of a specific group. These cats are known for their wisdom and steady presence within the clan. They serve a role similar to a Warrior’s Deputy or senior warrior. Among them, only one holds the title of “Star.”

The Star is the leader of leaders, overseeing all others. Usually a Storyteller or Elder, they maintain order within the clan, mediate meetings, and preside over ceremonies.

Finders specialize in locating things. Whether searching for a lost cat, gathering herbs and building materials, or assisting elders, they are the ones to call.

Watchers have exceptionally sharp vision. They patrol borders, look out for storms or rising waters, and handle various tasks around the camp in preparation for them.

Contenders are the primary hunters and fighters of the clan, making up the majority of its members.

Tunnelers dig through the moors, clear bracken, reinforce camp walls, and prepare graves under the guidance of loved ones and Storytellers.

Runners are the fleetest-footed cats in the clan, taking on one of the most physically demanding roles. They hunt for the entire clan and protect Storytellers on their journeys to Mothermouth.

Marhswaders fish and catch toads or rodents in the shallow mud and waters of the marsh.

Primary providers for the clan, Catchers also accompany cats through the territory when needed.
