MOST DIVORCED MARIO CHARACTERS

#1: Bowser & Peach

Now, Bowser has only married Peach for dark ritual purposes, which legally I think doesn't count. However, you can't deny that there is something distinctly divorced about their relationship. Bowser Jr. is extremely fond of both of them, idolizing his father and calling Peach "Mama" (even after he knows she did not give birth to him - another point for Divorced Bowser). Bowser obviously loves his kid, and Peach really has no quarrel with him either; nevertheless, the only time Junior ever sees them alone together is when they're fighting. "Your princess is in another castle", indeed.

#2: Donkey Kong Jr.

Donkey Kong Jr. is so goddamn divorced that we don't even know who his ex-wife is. She just fucked off to nowhere. Now he is a lonely balding accountant in New Donk City, but he is doing very well for himself, so good for him. Maybe one day he will be ready to jump back into the dating scene and find his second banana.

It's Work in Progress Wednesday and I've been trying to make a dent in my WIP list!! I completed and uploaded the Wario centric one yesterday and I've been trying to make some headway into the others using the advice from the WIP clearout post. The first extract is from my 'Alex & Daniel' wip - where Daniel Sousa offers to look after an eight-year-old Alex Thompson for the day, and is a little apprehensive about it.

Daniel would like to say that he didn’t know how he’d been talked into this, but that would be a lie – he’d been talked into it because the Thompsons were practically family and had asked for this favour, and because Peggy was too busy at SHIELD to help look after Alex for the day, so it had been left up to him.

It wasn’t like he hadn’t had to look after children before, of course, but still, he couldn’t help but be a little nervous – he’d only looked after Alex a handful of times and those had been when she was very small, not the bouncy eight-year-old who’d be coming to stay for a few hours, and there was always a worry about having to look after someone else’s child. Especially the granddaughter of one of his closest friends. Plus, he wasn’t exactly getting any younger here, so he wouldn’t be able to keep up as much as he might’ve done back in the day – and he already felt exhausted as Sophia parked the car and Alex came running over with a speed he envied. “Uncle Daniel!” She rushed towards him and for a second he feared she was about to leap at him and expect him to catch her because that really would send him crashing to the floor— She didn’t. She did, however, knock the wind out of him and almost bowl him over with the force of the resulting hug. “Oof.” “Sorry!” She jumped back, apologetic. “I didn’t hurt you, did I? Mom says I get too overexcited sometimes.” “I’m fine.” He assured her as he got his breath back, Sophia coming over and looking faintly amused. “Nothing wrong with a hug, kiddo, you just gotta be a little careful - you could’ve knocked me flying.” “Sorry.” She hugged him gentler this time. “I’ve just been looking forward to this for ages.” “I got that.” He said with a laugh, returning the hug. “It’s great to see you too, Alex.”

I have identified a couple of the main blocks; not only have I not watched the source material for a few years, but...I also don't have a clear plan for the fic!! Which isn't helpful, but now I know I can work on it - I've already found both seasons so a rewatch will be a great help (and not just for this one).

Another one I've been working on is...the Sad Westhallen Fic!! Which might not be as sad as it originally was - Barry's still dead but the bulk of the fic is going to be his friends and family sharing all the good memories they have and celebrating his life - but, of course, Eddie and Iris are still dealing with the loss, compounded by the fact their twins have basically no memories of their dad.

It wasn't meant to be like this. Days after Eddie had been freed from captivity, days after Barry, Oliver, and Teams Flash and Arrow brought down Eobard and called in Rip Hunter to see justice served, that had been when he'd finally start to believe - at least a little - that maybe, maybe things would get better. It had been far from easy, of course - Eddie and Iris's relationship was...not on hold, exactly, but any talk of marriage was shelved for the time being until he got the help he needed, which had made sense, of course, but...part of him had worried that she'd choose Barry in the end after all, because the other man was kind and brave and unflinching, someone who would treat Iris right and all Eddie had ever, ever wanted was for Iris to be happy. And if Barry was the one to make her happy... Who was he to stand in the way of that? Course, this had been a symptom of his depression, and once he'd started going to therapy he'd realised how spectacularly untrue it was. Iris and Barry were nothing but supportive the whole time and Iris assured him that she still loved him and always would. She wasn't going anywhere - and neither was Barry. This had made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside - and he'd finally had to admit that yes, he was in love with Barry too, and had been for some time.

This one needs a rewatch too, so it'll either be this or Agent Carter that I rewatch after I finished OUAT S1.

Basicly Mario characters are dancing to Sega games, and Sonic characters are dancing to Nintendo games, example, Mario and Charli are dancing to Tokyo To and Sonic and Spice is dancing to Zelda. Kinda honoring eachother.

Trio Night

A 3rd dancer joins them, like Rose and Drake’s 3 dancer is Prune (a Vampire Bat bounty hunter) I might change it

Disney Night

All the characters are dancing to Disney songs. With Sonic Boom characters (with the exception of Hope, who is Faith’s sister) singing the Disney songs, example, Justin Beaver sings Waluigi and Crystal’s song go the distance, and Dixon sings Luigi and Ava’s song, I’ll make a man out of you.

Halloween Horror Night

The characters are dancing to horror movies and shows, like Eggman and Cinnamon with Stranger things 4

ABBA night

The characters are dancing to ABBA songs.

Thoughts on the Mario movie!

Voice actors were all great in there roles, even Chris Pratt but the obvious standout was Jack Black,he stole the show like always

The references to the Mario series were fun and proved that the people making the movie cared about the series they were adapting

The pacing was the worst part of the movie. Everything felt like it was going a mile a minute. Needed at least half an hour extra

Toad was kinda pointless and unnecessary. Probably should have been saved for his own movie/show. Same kinda goes for Donkey Kong, they rush though his arc and I think it would have been better if he got his own movie. Daisy could have replaced him, which arguably makes more sense since she's most known for the Mario Cart and sports games

Luigi was under used, I hope he gets his own movie. My friend suggested adding a subplot of him escaping capture, with bowser getting bounty hunters to hunt him down. If you wanted to you could make the bounty hunters Wario and Waluigi

I like to think (at least in my AU) Hunter and Arti are like siblings in a sense (not ACTUALLY but figuratively) they get each other in their struggles, they both care for each other... even if both get onto each other a lot, still, they act like siblings towards each other. also a good parallel to Survivor and Monk since in personality they are kind of like a flipside of them but they act similarly in terms of being siblings and dynamic (basically a wario and waluigi kinda of deal without them, yknow trying to 1-UP them lol)

Correct! Both Wario and Waluigi spent quite a while isolated in some form, so I have them a bit more mild-mannered than their canon selves.

This shouldn't be too long so real quick, Shokora is rivalling with Peach, and Rosalina and Daisy are quick to be at each other's throats. Rosalina, as a nod to her cosmic canon self, is very spacey and kinda forgetful, though one look at Daisy and she switches to Kill Mode pretty much lol

Okay, so I ended up rambling again so I put the read more thing, and I REALLY ended up rambling again so I'm gonna reblog this with Waluigi's part of the story because oh my god I have more thoughts than I thought I did. ^-^

Wario, in taking over Shokora's role, actively ruled over his kingdom a few thousand years ago. I feel it's overall a fair amount of time, due to the language in the game ["...the ruins appear to be the pyramid of the sleeping princess of the king who reigned over the area long ago..." from one of the game guides.], and the fact that the kingdom isn't described in the present day. I take that last point to mean the kingdom doesn't exist anymore, and since the ruins were recently discovered, it HAD to have been absent for enough time that people forgot about it. SO! Princess Wario gets cursed a few thousand years from the present day into an amorphous but usually feline black blob, which while strips him of being able to reign his kingdom also keeps him alive that long so, eh, tradeoff. As I said, he IS more mild-mannered [after all, I don't think royalty, much less royalty that could afford having a golden pyramid and all the treasure you find in-game, can be made to be AS greedy as Canon-Wario is. Definitely still greedy, but he doesn't have to go treasure hunting or stealing anything, he can be civil X)], but it is still Wario, and he doesn't take that lying down. So although his efforts are fruitless, he spends that time trying to get into the Pyramid and take his kingdom back from the Golden Diva. When Shokora finds him, she finds a big black cat with ruffled whiskers that is very injured. Being the money-focused treasure hunter in this world, she wouldn't normally go out of her way to help anyone, but that cat was pretty hurt, and it's gonna be distracting her the whole time she's looting the ruins. And stars, if she ignores the cat and it dies?? She might have to hang up her treasure hunting hat!

So Shokora, somewhat begrudgingly, takes the cat into the city, gets it proper help [which proves very difficult. This cat has a temper, and seems to really want to be somewhere else.] and leaves it in a nice alley in Diamond City. [also sidenote, while Wario Land 4 begins with Wario almost running the cat over, cmon man thats your wife be careful, I think Princess Wario has never been there due to being so persistent at trying to regain his kingdom.] But when she gets back to the ruins, she finds out the cat had stowed away on her bike, and she watches it run up to the Pyramid and resume its previous attempted invasion. After some thinking, Shokora decides that there's something wrong with this cat in a good way, and with its knowledge of the ruins and Shokora's abilities+opposable thumbs, Wario Land 4 continues as normal, just with the roles swapped. At the end, Princess Wario gets his curse lifted, celebratory 'you saved me so you get a kiss', and bam he is now a part of the crew >:]

Waluigi is both chronologically and mentally much, much older. His kingdom, which used to stand where the Mushroom Kingdom is today, is long forgotten from the memory of modern people...

It’s really interesting that Medaka Box hit me just too early for me to draw fanart of it and Undead Unluck hit me just too late

I’ve literally drawn TWO pieces of Medaka Box fanart, and one was mostly meant as Pokemon fanart and the other was a birthday present for a friend

My fanart is almost entirely Pokemon, either doing various 30-day challenges, Fakemon, or drawing characters I like with Pokemon that remind me of them

Of those, I’ve done Tsurubami from Medaka Box with Cubone, Faust and Eliza from Shaman King with Alolan Marowak, Junko and Mukuro from Dangan Ronpa with Midday and Midnight Lycanroc, Palm from HxH with Mareanie and Toxapex, Emerald from RWBY with Salazzle, Let from Rave Master with Kommo-o, Uranus from Psyren with Alolan Sandslash, and for some reason Kakine with an entire Bug team! I don’t even like Kakine that much, why is he the one I gave a full team of six??? Oh, and Monet with Rowlet. Obviously

Practically everything else is Monet, but aside from her I’ve done a two Wario Land pieces, three Kirby pieces (one was a present), a fan Robot Master from Megaman, Peridot from Steven Universe cus I had art block, one Godzilland piece, a Smash moveset for Qbby from BoxBoy, a hypothetical design for the Duck Hunter from Smash, a Hero Academy OC, two Shaman King OCs, and various gifts including Ivankov from One Piece, Hisoka from HxH, Tsuyu from Hero Academy, and Shiro from Voltron

Looking over it, the spread is definitely way more than varied than I thought, but a lot of that variety was because I wanted an excuse to draw more Pokemon

If Medaka Box had still been going at the time or Undead Unluck had started earlier, there’s a good chance they both would have been consistent inspiration to me independent of Pokemon, just like Monet

I find it so hard to get myself to do art, and I was kind of hoping that my little bet about Monet would turn out...differently so that I wouldn’t have a choice but to force myself to do it. Maybe if my life goes in a bit of a more relaxed direction soon I’ll be able to find the inspiration to fill this void

Maybe I’ll get back to it with Undead Unluck Pokemon pieces, then transition to just UU

Don’t get your hopes up, but I’d sure love to see Isshin making an unbreakable hammer for Tinkaton
