“I’m so sorry! I wasn’t laughing at you, er, I was, but not in a mean way! I didn’t mean to hurt you and I wanted to clear it up with you!” You hurriedly explain.

After what felt like hours of silence, you look up at him to see his quizzical look which consisted of his mouth creating an caret as his brows were arched upwards. You slapped your hands over your mouth as you tried to not laugh at him. You just cleared things up and you weren’t about to mess it up again. Except you only let out muffled giggles.

“I’m sorry.” You spoke in between giggles. “I promise I’m trying to not laugh.” Giggle. “Your expressions just make me laugh.” Giggle. “I love them.” You continued to google.

This took Junichi by surprise, he didn’t expect you to love his expressions. His entire face began to turn red out of both embarrassment and because he was overly aware of how cute you were. Your laughter was what made him notice you to begin with. It made him happy knowing that you didn’t think any less of him, but more that you liked him.

Your giggling coming to a halt, you noticed Junichi’s red face and it made you more aware that your face was turning equally red. You didn’t want your conversation to end there, so you decided to tell him.

“Hey, um..” you begin, your hands fumbling with the bottom of your school uniform sweater vest. Looking down, you feel your anxiety building up. You felt that you should just blurt it out like you did earlier. “I l-l..” you begin. Closing your eyes, you confess louder than you intended.

“I l-like you Junichi!”

Moments pass and instead of looking up, you keep your eyes closed as you stayed still.

“O-oh.” You heard a deep voice say, which caused your eyes to snap open and lift your head. Junichi held his hand over the lower half of his face trying to hide how red it was. His eyes were looking to the side.

Looking back at you, he bowed just as you had earlier, causing you to jump. You could feel the rejection coming up.

“Thank you so much! Please take care of me!” He yelled.

You blinked a couple of times and you felt your cheeks heat up, causing you to slap your hands against them. The noise caused Junichi to jump and lift his head to look at you.

“What do you-? Do you mean that-?” You couldn’t finish what you were saying in the case it would raise your hopes. Although they were still raised, feeling your heart beating against your chest.

Junichi quickly stood straight and nodded a few times.

“So does that mean…” you begin. “…we’re dating?” You squeaked out the last bit, feeling as if what was going on was unreal. Maybe it was a dream.

Junichi nodded again, his expression serious but his face growing a deeper shade of red. His confirmation only made the blush spread from your cheeks to the rest of your face as you stared at Junichi with wide eyes. You felt tears begin to spill as you smile.

Junichi jumped and took a couple of steps towards you, his eyebrows knitted upwards as he expressed worry.

“I’m so happy.” Looking at Junichi, who had walked up to you with his worried expression. “I didn’t think you’d want to date me. I was so upset with myself for making you sad so I thought I ruined everything.”

He was stunned. He didn’t realize that you felt this way the entire time when you had only expressed your fondness over him.

Not knowing how to make the situation better, he opted to hug you close to him. He could feel his heart pounding and hoped you couldn’t hear it.

You were too preoccupied with your own heart as you stood there in Junichi’s arms. You couldn’t believe what was happening, given how the day began. Yet here you were in your now boyfriend’s arms. You were wholly convinced this was a dream and you didn’t ever want to wake up.

Raising your head to look at Junichi, you noticed how close your faces were. Junichi looked at you, staring into your eyes to make sure your tears stopped, which they had the moment he hugged you. You both felt calm as the two of you leaned towards each other, pressing your lips against the other’s in a gentle kiss that lasted about five heartbeats before you pulled away. His lips were a bit dry, but you enjoyed it. At least some of your lip gloss transferred onto his lips.

Looking back into each other’s eyes, the two of you smiled, completely content with each other’s presence.

“I don’t want to go home yet.” Junichi said, his eyes looking down as his brows furrowed slightly.

“Let’s go on a date then!” You offered. It was getting late in the day, close to night time, so there weren’t many options.

Junichi shook his head. “We can go Sunday. I want to spend the day with you, but for now, can I walk you home?”

You grinned at his offer and nodded. “That sounds perfect.”

Loosening his hold on you, his hand slid down your arm before taking a hold of yours. He hoped you didn’t mind. He wanted to hold your hand to touch you and be close to you. It was weird, he only noticed you today and yet you made him feel like this. Was this a crush? You got to him somehow and now that you have him, he had no plans on letting go.

As the two of you walked to your home, you noticed he had become more vocal rather than relying on his expressions. It was probably due to the fact that you couldn’t read him as well as his brother. Upon reaching your house, Junichi walked you to your door and the two of you kissed once again.

On your weekend, the two of you went to an amusement park where he took you on rides and won you prizes. So much so that your arms were full so he had to carry some.

You were incredibly happy with your day, spending time with Junichi was something you could only dream of. As time went on, Junichi felt his feelings for you grow throughout the day. He remembered seeing you trying your hardest holding the plushies he won for you and couldn’t help but think how cute you were.

Maybe you should go on dates every day.

Chigiri Neneko and F/N's mother were best friends in college. Their friendship lasted all through their married lives; they were even the other's bridesmaid.

So, when F/N's mother gave birth to F/N just three months after Chigiri was born, the two new mothers agreed to betroth the two infants.

To foster a close relationship between the two children, both mothers enrolled the pair into the same nursery centre and kindergarten.

By the time the two children were in Grade 3, they had began walking to school together.

It was two weeks before Chigiri's and F/N's entrance to junior high school when the two mothers dropped the bombshell to the pair about their arranged betrothal.

After that, things got a little... awkward between the two childhood best friends.

Fast-forward two weeks later, Hyoma joined the football team while F/N entered the cooking club.

Three years later, in Rakosute Business High School...

“Don't get cocky just Coach favours you.” Wanima Keisuke sneered at the exiting Chigiri at the school gates after practice. “That's what my bro says.”

“Whatever.” Chigiri shrugged. “It's a matter of whether or not you have talent.”

“Is that so, genius?” Keisuke glared.

“Hyo, please don't tell me you've already made enemies.” F/N's completely exasperated voice cut through the stand-still. “Wanima-senpai.” she greeted the Wanima twins. “Please excuse us.” she pulled the redhead off. “Can't you be more polite for once?” she scolded.

“Fine.” Chigiri huffed. “What do you have for me today?”

“You and your sweet tooth.” F/N rebuked mildly and handed him a cardboard box containing a small bundt cake.

“I see someone upgraded to baking.” Chigiri teased.

One year later...

Despite F/N's constant reminders not to overexert himself, Chigiri ignored her warnings and ended up tearing the ACL of his right leg.

“Hyo!” F/N burst into the school infirmary once she heard about Chigiri's injury

“Yo.” the redhead gave F/N a pained smile. “Guess I should've listened to you.”

“You idiot!” F/N sobbed on the flabbergasted Chigiri's shoulder.

“Hey...” Chigiri panicked. “Don't cry.”

Throughout his rehabilitation, F/N stood by Chigiri, like the faithful partner that she was; while he was undergoing his physical rehabilitation, F/N was poring over injury recovery textbooks in the public and regional libraries whenever she wasn't in school. During lunchtime at school, she would always set aside a specially prepared nuts and fruit salad she prepared in the morning for him.

Several months later...

“I received an invitation letter from the Japan Football Union last night.” Chigiri told F/N during lunch under the Japanese White Pine tree in the school yard.

“Hm...” F/N sounded, still chewing on her mapo tofu.

“Turns out I've been 'selected to become a certified athlete'.” Chigiri quoted from the letter.

“And what does that even mean?” F/N exclaimed, Chigiri taking the opportunity to feed her a cherry tomato.

“Who knows?” the speedster shrugged.

A week before the U20 vs Blue Lock match...

Chigiri Koyuki called out F/N to a coffee-shop.

“Here.” the older Chigiri woman slid over a ticket to the highly advertised U20 vs Blue Lock match.

“Koyuki-nee...” F/N blinked, nodding as she kept the ticket into her purse.

“The ring Hyoma gave you,” Koyuki noticed the stainless steel ring F/N wore on her right ring finger. “I'm glad you're still wearing it.”

“We made a promise.” F/N let out a wistful smile.

“I heard you've been focusing on your studies.” Koyuki spoke, the older female was escorting F/N back to her house.

“I... just don't want to be as helpless when Hyoma was recovering from his ACL tear.” F/N admitted. “That's why after high school graduation, I intend to attend medical college overseas.”

In the stadium stands, a week later...

F/N's breath caught in her throat when she witnessed Chigiri shoot down the right side of the field with a speed she didn't know was possible. Hyo... he's completely changed. She realized. Just what happened in Blue Lock that caused this abrupt change?

“Hyoma!” Koyuki called out to her younger brother at half-time. “Over here.” she waved. “He saw us.” she grinned at the two females with her.

“Who's the cutie?” Otoya asked the embarrassed redhead.

“My big sis.” Chigiri muttered.

“Not Bon.” Karasu teased, already guessing Chigiri's relation to F/N. “You never mentioned a girlfriend.”

“Hyoma's beaming again, just like he used to.” Neneko was relieved.

“He's finally back.” Koyuki agreed with her mother. “You've also did your best, F/N.” she turned to the younger girl.

“Hyo!” F/N stood up suddenly, gasping in shock when Chigiri collapsed onto the field, the strain from his last sprint hitting. “Could it... that blank from last year...”

A week after the exhibition match...

It's been a long while since we went out. Chigiri's message popped up on F/N's phone. How does 10:30am tomorrow sound? We'll meet for brunch.

Sure. F/N typed back her reply.

A few seconds later, Chigiri sent an address via text.

The next day...

F/N noted with muted amusement when Chigiri placed an order for fresh fruit pancakes and pomegranate juice at the 'A Happy Pancake' store.

“I blame you.” Chigiri muttered, looking out of the window, F/N ordering a salmon and avocado cheese mousse pancake set meal, complete with hot coffee.

“You do know the reason I made fruit salad was help you recover faster, right?” F/N rolled her eyes. “Before I forget,” she reached down to the ground where a carrier bag was placed beside her chair. “Here. Happy belated birthday.”

“This...” Chigiri pulled out the red-and-white woollen muffler scarf F/N very obviously knitted for him; his name in Rōmaji and the astrological sign of Capricorn were embroidered on the right corner ends of the scarf in black. “Thank you.” he reached over and closed a hand over F/N's. “Nee-san told me you want to attend medical college overseas.” he remarked, biting into a piece of pineapple after their orders arrived. “Is it because...”

“Hm...” F/N folded a salmon slice with her fork.

“I'm sorry.” Chigiri whispered, rubbing a finger on the stainless steel ring on her finger. “I made you worry. Should we go to the Konnõ Hachimangū Shrine afterwards?”

One week later...

After all, you can’t keep calling his number whenever you need him to pick your silly little pet up, right?

Or maybe, just maybe, there’s a chance he likes it when you call. Most times no, not really. He usually gets out in late afternoons because of his Football practice. And your pet seems to get out every late afternoon when you leave the door open. Ironic, isn’t it?

Maybe your pet is having an alliance; knowing you like your senior and doing everything so you’ll get his attention. If your pet is, give ‘em some extra treats for me.

Moving on. He stared at you weirdly, questioning your motives. After a brief moment of awkward silence, he realized you just needed training since your pet kept getting out. “Oh..this is about Max?” Let’s pretend Max is the name of your pet, alright? “I’m busy with practice, that’s stupid.” You looked at his attire, it was the jackets and pants they were required to wear before attending practice. After Chigiri’s football practice, and your brothers, you waited outside, following suit when they walked out the gate. While holding some to ease your hunger, the delicious snacks never fail to satisfy you. You noticed, they were following Chigiri? And one of your brothers from the twins, Keisuke spoke for Junichi. “Just because coach favors you, doesn’t mean you gotta get all cocky! That’s what my bro said.” To which, Chigiri replied with “Cocky? No, I’m something realistic. It all comes down to talent.”

What a reply, it certainly pissed off your brothers as they left, with you falling behind. “You look like the twins from the shining.” You retorted, not amused by their mocking of your senior despite them being classmates with him. Ironic.

The next day, you were awoken by your Animal Crossing Timmy and Tommy doing acrobatics alarm clock. Bathing and getting ready for school, you realized, it was Chigiri’s birthday!

Would be nice to surprise him. You just so happened to meet his sister on the way to school! She bumped into you, apologizing before recognition dawned upon her. “Ah! Are you [INSERT NAME]? You look familiar..Hyōma talked a lot about you before!” He did?

The two of you conversed, talking about how your brothers were still sleeping and you didn’t want to be late so you left. You learnt her name was Koyuki. You two exchanged numbers as she invited you to his surprise birthday, time was 4:44 you already had to be there, so you’d leave earlier than the twins.

At school, you couldn’t help but steal a few glances at the male..didn’t he have shorter hair? Why did it grow longer? He looks good. He always does, but gotta keep your nonchalance.

At the end of classes, you rushed to the address given to you by Chigiri’s sister, you texted your mom along the way, making her aware of your whereabouts. You arrived an hour early, good for you.

Well, moving on, you helped Miss. Chigiri and Koyuki. Learning Chigiri’s mother’s name is Neneko, such cute names the Chigiri family has. Cleaning up some mess, and Chigiri’s mom even showed you some cute baby pictures! Koyuki, his sister, couldn’t help but laugh.

Meanwhile you were thinking about dropkicking your two brothers for bullying him.

All of you were hidden, Chigiri’s friends, his family and you. Waiting for him, as the door opened and he spoke out “Mom?? Koyuki-nee???? Where are you??” The lights turned on as there was confetti everywhere. Yelling out Happy Birthday to your favorite speedster.

He noticed you and couldn’t help but blush profusely. His sister obviously noticed and laughed.

Maybe you were his birthday present. But obviously you got him cleats.

Did you know? Chigiri’s family corresponds to cats in Japanese Kanji. Neneko; his mom is 猫(cat), Koyuki; his sister, 猫(tiger), and Chigiri, 豹(leopard). Saw this while looking at their profiles.

So, Hiiragi, Niko and Zantetsu lost.

And we all can correctly predict that it was Zantetsu that was chosen—it was a surprise for me to be honest. I mean, the Nagi trio already had Chigiri with them, so picking up another speed-based player confused me a bit. I have only read that Manga superficially, so I can't say much about Hiiragi but I do think that he was a real good player.

All in all, Niko seemed like a better choice, but I guess we'll get to know why Zantetsu got chosen. Maybe Nagi got nostalgic or something? Lol.

Now, there are 4 members in the Team, and in the match, we'll have Kiyora. Why? Because firstly, Nagi's team was the SECOND team in the second selection to have completed it, so it makes sense that they win again 'cause if they were to lose, then there would make THREE matches in total and that'll delay things, you know.

So now, who is going to be with Kiyora?

An easy prediction is: Karasu, Otoya and Yukimiya.

This prediction makes sense since this trio was the THIRD group to have completed the second selection.

BUT!

These three already have character developments further in the manga, you know. I think, Kaneshiro-san will use Nagi Spin-off as a chance to showcase other side characters like Hiiragi, low-key, came into the table seemingly out of nowhere.

I can't write ALL the possible teams because, haha, that's HELLA lot, so let's take a small dive individually:

1. Himizu Aiki

Team: Third with Karasu, Otoya, Yukimiya.

Bro looks so fucking rad! I mean, his character is too fucking pretty to just be a side character, so I think he could be with Kiyora because that way he'd be in the limelight. Honestly, I want more of him, he is just too gorgeous.

2. Yuzu Haruhiko

Team: Third with Karasu, Otoya, Yukimiya.

He looks like a cutie patootie! I remember one of my Fanfic's reader said that his hair looks like spring onions and I can't unsee, LMAO.

He had been near the focus in some panels during second selection. He, in fact, had a line too when Aryu was asking players to play against them and everybody was refusing, but Anime cut it out—I got a bit mad since he looked adorably funny in the panel.

He has also been seen hanging out with Hiiragi in the background (I'm not quite sure).

3. Tsunzaki Taiga

Team: Fourth with Nanase and Hiiragi.

A good design to be honest. I don't remember much of him, but yeah, he has been near the focus of panels too.

4. Endoji Akira

Team: Fourth with Nanase and Hiiragi.

A HELLA FREAKING COOL DESIGN!

He was present during the match where Shidou got electrocuted and he had some lines too. Idk why but he just seems like a character too good to be thrown out without any screentime.

5. Saramadara Kairu

Team: Fifth with Niko and Hiori.

He actually has a fair amount of details like he is a surfer and is considered pretty intimidating looking by his peers. He was against Isagi, Rin and Shidou during the tryouts too. Would love to see more of him.

6. Ishikari Yukio

Team: Fifth with Niko and Hiori.

Tall af—bro is like 2 metres tall. He was one of those characters about whom something was spoken in the JFU building by Isagi or Kira Idk I don't remember. He had lines too and gave a head pass in a match too.

Looks chill af tho.

7. Nishioka Hajime

Team: Fifth with Hiori and Niko.

He seems like the most probable option because Aomori's Messi, you know. Bro is low-key a meme material in the Fandom tbh.

It seems like the perfect time to showcase his talent which has been hyped up till now. Further, do you remember that Barou, Naruhaya and Nishioka had teamed up and they lost and then Nishi was chosen? What if the choosing team had Kiyora in it?

So it makes perfect sense for Barou to hold a grudge with Kiyora for choosing someone else over him. To add more spice, what if Kiyora had said some outrageous stuffs to Barou? Makes sense!

8. Shiguma Kyohei

Team: Sixth with Raichi, Gagamaru and Wanima.

He is canonically a reserved person—that additional time with Chigiri + Saramadara + him. A gentle giant. His character design doesn't stand out much tho. Also, mathematically, two person with that much Team number difference seems really taxing, but I can't say much since Kurona had a rank of 4 too and yet he was in the last team.

9. Tanaka Shingen

Team: Sixth with Raichi, Gagamaru and Wanima.

Appeared in an additional time and in that Blue Lock Bible or something, he was ranked as one of the least appealing boys to girls too.

He seems close to Gagamaru tho.

10. Sokura Tetsu

Team: Seventh with Shidou, Reo, Igarashi and Kurona.

Can't seem to be able to add his pic but he seems rather.. plain looking. That's all. I don't remember him in any panels at all too.

If my mathematics is correct then Niko played like 6-10 matches during second selection. Bro was DONE by the end of it.

I know the first selection in blue lock is very team Z-centric but can we take a moment to appreciate Niko’s time in team Y? Like… they had the SHIT kicked out of them by Reo, Zantsetzu and Nagi in their very first match by whopping 0:8!!! Then Niko clearly took precautions and developed a strategy only to get bodied AGAIN this time by Isagi AND the mf stands over him to rub it in. This would discourage anyone from playing but does this 15 year old dweeb with noodle limbs care? NO - he scores a fucking hat trick against BAROU in his very next game! (I wish we got to see that match like holy shit) AND he ties the score with the Wanima bros! Which was only 1:1 so you know team Y was defending like crazy against their attacks. Just… Niko, you go you funky little ball stealer

Junichi doesn't have a preference for being the big or the little spoon, all he really cares about is getting to cuddle in general. He does happen to be the big spoon more often, though.

If he's the little spoon, he very much enjoys being in your arms and even if he doesn't say it, you know he's demanding forehead kisses.

And if he's the big spoon, his arms around you are always just a little bit too tight. He's strong and his embrace is always too tight, no matter if it's during hugs or while cuddling. Every now and then his grip on you gets so tight, you have to remind him to let you breathe.

But no matter in which position you cuddle with him, he never says anything - but Except for when you're about to get up without telling him why. It's only then that he asks you to stay with him longer or he asks why you're getting up in the first place.

What I think each characters sexuality's are and why

(I'm taking another small break from the basic info. series but it's almost finished, I have 12 characters I still wanna do, and I can do any others if you guys want)

Straight:

Jingo Raichi - I can't really see him liking guys or anyone else other than girls, but he would be hella supportive. He's that friend on pride month who would wear a rainbow flag or put one outside his house just because at least one of his friends is part of the LBGTQ+ community.

Yudai Imamura - He's a playboy, I don't know what you expect. But he isn't homophobic and he acts VERY gay, even though he's not.

Okuhito Iemon - I can only picture him liking girls, although he would be supportive of the community. He's like the dad friend of the friend group so he wouldn't care who you like as long as his friends are happy, then he's happy.

Keisuke Wanima (Younger) - He's definitely not part of the community, and he might not show it, but inside I can picture him being a bit homophobic, but he wouldn't show it since his own twin is part of it (maybe, who knows? *wink wink*).

Zantetsu Tsurugi - He doesn't know what the LGBTQ+ community is, but once he found out he was like: "That's cool, but I only see guys as bros, nothing more." He would be sweet about his reaction but I but dumbfounded since he's still new to the whole thing.

Rin Itoshi - He is not part of the community, but he supports it since his brother and his enemy.... (only for his brother, not his enemy *a lil bit of a spoiler*).

Adam Blake - He looks straight (to me). He is straight. Periodt.

Anri Teieri - (Sadly) I can picture her being straight, but she supports it. [Quick lil headcanon: I can imagine Anri (even without being told) putting up rainbow flags around the Blue Lock facility during pride month.]

Jinpachi Ego - I cannot for the life of me picture his as part of the community. Although, he would be the type of person to act homophobic "Because love gets in the way of your performance" but on the inside he would be supportive.

Oliver Aiku - He would be that friend that acts hella gay even though he's the straightest friend in the group.

Mark Snuffy - I can't see him being part of the community, he's supportive though.

Don Lorenzo - Again, I can't see him being part of the community.

Issei and Iyo Isagi - I can't see them being LGBTQ+, but they'd be supportive.

Asahi Naruhaya - He acts homophobic, but in reality he's bi as fuck.

Ryosuke Kira - Is it just me, or does he look it?

Junichi Wanima (Older) - It's like a one sided love with him and Chigiri, he acts like he hates him but he actually likes him.

Aoshi Tokimitsu - He's had a crush on a few guys before but was always too scared to come out since he was afraid of what everyone would think.

Jin Kiyora - He kinda just screams bisexual, I don't know why though..

Ranze Kurona - He definitely likes Isagi...

Eita Otoya - He acts like he's straight, but he has a crush on Karasu.

Leonardo Luna - I can fully picture him being bisexual, he's definitely liked guys in the past.

Julian Loki - I dunno why, but he just screams bi...

Shuto Sendo - He most acts as straight as he can to try not to be suspicious, but he's actually bisexual (but for who?).

Sae Itoshi - Have you seen the way he talks to Shido? He still likes girls though, but the public doesn't need to know about him and Shido.

Alexis Ness - *Cough* Kaiser *Cough* Sorry, I think I had something in my throat. Oh, what's he doing here? He's supposed to be in the straight section...

Chris Prince - He likes Noa, but he's only told one person which is Yukimiya.

Noel Noa - He's had crushes on guys in the past. (And maybe he likes one now?)

Seishiro Nagi - It's "too much of a hassle" to say he likes Reo so he says he's gay and it's the end of the conversation no matter who he's talking to.

Kenyu Yukimiya - This could just be me, but he looks gay. Is that just me?

Nijiro Nanase - Nijiro in Japanese means 'Rainbow', take that however you like.

Ryusei Shido - I don't even need to explain.

Yo Hiori - I don't know why, but I can see him being gay.

Dada Silva - Brazilian Baller, c'mon now, just that name alone sounds gay as fuck (my opinion).

Pablo Cavazos - Just take a look at him, he's cute, but I see him as gay.
