I’ve been preparing for a Redwall-inspired ttrpg one shot and have done nothing but think about cozy little woodland critters and their silly little adventures.

Played a little bit of a beautiful ttrpg game called Wanderhome and got so excited over my character that I drew this over an evening. Her name is Thistle Down-Hoof and she is a shepherd with a herd of bumblebees :D

Sown the reflective and friendly salamander. Her Kith is a Fennec Fox named Fern. They grew up with ambitions to become artists together, but Sown found that her ambitions changed over time and the divide between them sent Sown on a journey of solitude to find herself. On this journey, she has taken to the task of being a Caretaker, and helping little lost gods find their way home.

Upgrades, people, upgrades! I love this one so much more than my first draft. I actually got the colored pencils to look as soft as I wanted them too. I still like the first one, this one is just closer to what I had in mind.

Now that I have infinite copies of this sketch, I am probably going to play around with a few other traditional rendering styles I've never tried.
