So - current projects I want to play around with once Finding Family is finished:

Bedelia & Wanda WandaVision rewrite - aka Wanda gets therapy from retired witness protection Bedelia (post-Hannibal) and ends up creating the Hex anyway (sort of) because a lot of times when you work through trauma it ends up making things worse initially because it can be like going through it again. I expect Agatha and America to both be in this eventually, as well as asshole dickhead SWORD guy (and Jack Crawford!) and also if Wanda curses Hannibal and/or Will, that would be cool (and also maybe Agatha gets therapy, too).

Noir Fic - aka this one fic I wrote almost a decade ago that I mostly want to edit and refresh before posting but I want to finish seeing the series again before going through all of that - aka what if Chloe instead of Kirika?

Dark Witch Aesthetic - aka a friend and I co-built an AHS: Coven-esque thing for Bedelia that involves harder, darker cannibalism and etc. type magic and it would be fun to play in that world with Wanda and Agatha. Where Agatha's powers are different because she's of a different descent - they come from her dad's side - and Bedelia as sole survivor after Agatha attacks her coven - that sort of thing. Not high up on this list.

JTV Soulmate Timer AU Book #4 - aka another thing that's already been written for other a year and I want to finish rereading book #3 before editing this one.

Agatha Backstory Fic - aka literally what it says on the tin; I have too many headcanon and too many images and I just want to put them out into something and this one's calling me almost as much as the Bedelia & Wanda fic is.

Earth-838 Avengers Compound fic - more one-shots than fic, otherwise exactly what it says on the tin. Honestly may do this as a sporadic one-shot thing idk.

Miscellaneous Finding Family spin-offs - not sequels, but deleted scenes and alternate ways things could have gone (looking at Wendy for a lot of this, but there's definitely a different way I was thinking about doing Illuminati stuff), etc. Probs going to do some of these anyway, but we'll see.

The problem with all these Agatha headcanon stuff is that now I wanna write a little Agatha growing up in Salem fic and like.

Finish Finding Family first, Bandit.

It has been nice to be able to alternate between Finding Family and Fragments of Color, and because they're so different (and because it is so close to being finished), I don't think Fragments will keep me from finishing FF the way the fic with Bedeals might have, if I'd started it earlier, or the way Baby Agatha fic series really easily could.

It's also been so nice to write fluff again, especially before getting into the darker stuff that Agatha's backstory is going to be.

That said, since Fragments looks like it might be a WandaVision rewrite, I don't know if I'll also the Bedeals fic. It feels a little bit like retreading the same ground. But we'll see? I still...miss writing her and would love to see how she plays around with Wanda and co.

Tentative title of Baby Agatha Fic: A Sea Psalm for the Penitent Soul

I was thinking of titles and thought of A Psalm for the Penitent first - which I like in terms of her Puritan background (given that she is from Salem, even with being a witch and her mother being a witch, that culture is a huge part of her upbringing and some of what I want to deal with in terms of themes) - and then thought of Salem as a coastal town and Agatha's relationship (generally speaking) to sailors and likely hanging out around the docks if she had time (still debating if her dad is a sailor or not, but I'm leaning towards yes, and I generally like the idea of him as loosely Puritan in terms of values...ish), which lead to A Sea Shanty for the Soulless, which pays a little bit of homage to both but also soulless in terms of Agatha's mother saying that she can't be good, not as in like literally speaking (unless you want to think of it as heartless or ruthless, but I don't think either of those apply to Agatha herself).

A Sea Psalm for the Penitent Soul I think does a better job of what I want to convey in terms of combining those two potential titles into something that pays attention to her heritage but also gives me a more concrete idea of where I'm starting this thing and how it can be structured (for instance, if Agatha is penitent, that means she's actually feeling regret over past actions, she's looking back on them - which means this is likely going to be an Agatha within Agnes reliving moments or thinking back to them, which is something I've been debating).

...also debating if that is a fic title or a series title wherein I break up the different segments of Agatha's life into their own unique fics. (Less certain on this point because right now I only have two/three distinct segments - Salem, immediately after Salem, and then stuff with the Ancient One - so I'm still basically feeling it out.)

But, yeah, them's the thoughts right now, let me know what y'all think if y'all have thoughts on it

The problem with reading T.S. Eliot again is that now I want to throw some of his stuff in things I'm writing and like - Agatha would know him but wouldn't quote him, America wouldn't know who he is (and neither would Wendy), Scarlet would know OF him, Ash might know his stuff but probably wouldn't like it - which really just leaves White Vision, who might, because I could easily see original Vision quoting him sometimes, just throwing him into conversations—

But really, this is something Hannibal and Bedeals and Clarice are more likely to do, so I guess it will have to wait until the Bedelia/Wanda fic.

The problem with going through my old Bedelia blog is that now I remember my 1) Bedelia as Jarvis/Vision verse and my 2) Bedelia as head of a coven of witches (a la AHS) verse - and brain's just like we could use one of those for the Bedelia/Wanda fic instead of the post-Hannibal one.

And like no. I know which one I want. I'm definitely not using the Bedeals as Vis one.

...but the Bedeals as head of a coven that got decimated by Agatha that relies on much darker magic tropes than the MCU will touch with an eleven-and-a-half foot pole is...tantalizing, to say the least. (Or even to have an Agatha who relies on that sort of blood magic - look, Bedelia is from a show with cannibals, why wouldn't her magic involve taking people's magic through eating them like c'mon y'all.)

So - Bedelia/Wanda fic is probably still going to use the Bedelia I originally intended BUT I'm seriously debating using the magic systems from her Coven verse to...potentially play around with elsewhere. We'll see.

So. Still planning on the Wanda & Bedelia fic post-Finding Family. Because I'm still interested in the possibilities of that dynamic and what that means for Westview and how that might change (so I guess it's half a WandaVision rewrite but not really).

And I think the title is going to be Phantom Limb, or What It Means To Kneel.

I'm still workshopping the Kneel part because I know a lot of people could take it in a sexual way, which is not what I want. Less of that and more that whenever - whenever - Wanda is overwhelmed by her grief, she falls on her knees. She kneels. Contrast this with Bedelia, whose left leg was cut off mid-thigh (because, yes, this would be post-Hannibal, and yes, I know there are theories, and no, my Bedeals is not entirely canon-compliant) - who literally would have a very hard time kneeling at all (but who metaphorically did and still continues to mentally kneel in very real way to Hannibal and what he did (and continues to do) to her).

So. Tentative title. We'll see if it sticks when I get there. Whenever that is. XD

See, the thing with this CR DM round table and their discussion of grief and the humor surrounding it, and me looking at Wanda like, Finding Family might not be the place for this, but the future Wanda & Bedelia fic probably is.

Just popping in here to tell you that I read every chapter of Finding Family as you upload them and I would LOVE to read a fic where Wanda goes to Bedelia for therapy instead of everything that went down in Westview. So you already have a built in audience of one if that's the encouragement you need!
