There is just something soo *clenches fist* about the way the zombie virus works in TWD.

Like the whole concept that EVERYBODY is infected. Like there is no way out of it!! There is no more peaceful death!! No more noble sacrifice where you die to protect somebody that you love because you will come back!!

Your loved one sings you to death and then has to murder you to keep you from coming back!!! Your noble sacrifice can end up costing them their life anyway because you might be the one killing them!!

Season 8, Episode 16

I have so much to say. SO MUCH. (please no spoilers for upcoming seasons)

First of all, I'm confused, happy, angry, and saddened. I'm going to try and organize my thoughts the best that I can so that it makes sense.

I'm so incredibly pleased with Eugene. He sabotaged the bullets and he is the reason why Alexandria + the Hilltop group were able to defeat the Saviors. When he first joined the Saviors, I was hoping he had a plan in mind to take them out from the inside and I was extremely disappointed and mad at him for not doing so and "becoming Negan". This was such a great turn. I'm also very glad that Rosita gave him that punch cuz GOD I wanted to do that so bad for the longest time.

I'm conflicted about the decision to save Negan. On one hand, I think he should get what was coming to him this whole time. He killed Glenn, Abraham, tortured Daryl and so so much more. He deserves death, just like Maggie wants. But then I can also see Rick's thinking (kind of). He's honoring Carl's wishes by finding peace and letting Negan live. But his explanation with Michonne at the end didn't make much sense to me. For the most part, I think Negan should be killed.

Before that, it showed Maggie speaking to Jesus about Negan, Rick and Michonne. She told him he had to go and that Rick would know(?). Is she turning on Rick? Is she going to do something to him and Michonne? Also why did Jesus agree? That's TOTALLY NOT like him at all?? He's literally always telling everyone that people can be spared, so why is he agreeing to take Negan out???

Dwight. Ohhhhh goddd Dwight ☹️ he makes me so incredibly sad and I almost teared up when Daryl took him out to the woods. Thank you Daryl for sparing him😭🙏I'm sad that there probably won't be anymore of him in the show :( I feel robbed! He's one of my favorites and I'm probably gonna make a post explaining why lol. Also, what happened to his wife in the end? Did she die after writing back or is she still out there? I hope she's alive and they reunite. They're so in love 💔 fuck u Negan.

This episode was really beautiful. Especially with the scenery, camera work, and the scene of Rick and Carl. Again, I ALMOST teared up at the end with Rick reading his letter to Carl. I'm so annoyed at the fact that he's gone, but also I feel like this win wouldn't have happened without that. I miss u Carl 😣

The tension and excitement in this episode was crazy. I love this show SO MUCH. What an incredible season finale.
