FUNDRAISING ART SALE & EXHIBITION

CALL FOR ARTISTS:

For the 28th May on the Wakefield Artwalk, ArtPlace are inviting artists to donate original A5 piece's of artwork. The aim of the sale is to raise funds for ArtPlace, as apart from a recent YVAN bursary to support this project, we are completely unfunded working on a voluntary bases. The funds raised will be used to put on future exhibitions in Wakefield, support and promote artists and to host creative events. We are able to provide A5 paper for the artists if needed, and all the work on sale will be sold at only £10 each, making it accessible to all the audiences that come on the Wakefield Artwalk.

The A5 Art sale will be a great opportunity for artists to promote their work, show people a variety of work they do and makes their work accessible. All work will be labelled with the Artists name, title of work, and any social media/websites they have to promote the artist. It's a great chance for emerging artists, professionals and amateur artists the exhibit beside each other in this eclectic exhibition.

The deadline for artwork to be donated is the 19th May. The Sale will be help on the 28th May in a venue unknown yet. It will pop-up in a currently empty shop in Wakefield very close to the other venues to ensure a large audience. The sale will be held for that evening only for the Wakefield Artwalk which is 5-9pm.

Thank you to everyone who came to my demo last night. Unexpectedly I'm back in Westgate Studios again tonight for the Wakefield Artwalk 5pm-9pm Last night when I was there for the demo @carl_hardwick very kindly offered me the use of one of the unoccupied studios to show some of my work in, and I accepted. So sadly I won't be going round to see all the other fab things going on for the Artwalk as I'd originally planned to do.
