series synopsis: owning a bakery at 20 is tough; even more so when you have to handle members of two opposing organizations! this is your journey to meeting those fools and creating an unlikely bond with each of them. but only at the cost of your peace and sanity.

another doctor? oh wait, another doctor and his daughter

as you expected, ranpo and fukuzawa have not let you go easy after what had happened a couple days prior (3 days ago to be exact)

one of them, or more often than not, the two of them would go visit the bakery at least twice a day

once in the morning right before opening, and the second time right before closing

if they could, they would visit around lunch time, but that was usually yosano

tbh you were thankful that yosano hasn’t been as overbearing as the other two but you knew she probably wanted to give you a break because holy shit are they extremely over protective

currently, it was the fourth day of being watched by the two eldest ada members, but there were no said ada members with you at the moment

and boy were you overjoyed

turns out, the ada has an important escort job for a government official or smth, and on top of that, fukuzawa has a bunch of meetings to attend

even ranpo has his hands full with a couple of difficult murder cases across the country

you’re lowkey, no highkey, worried bc you learned literally 3 days ago that ranpo doesn’t know how to ride the train 😀😀

you were worried abt them, there’s no question, but on the inside you were a bit relieved to which ranpo called you out on it immediately 

that led to the two of you going at each other’s throats for nearly half an hour

let’s just say fukuzawa scolded the two fo you for a while

going back to the present, it was around one pm and you had just finished sending a text message to both fukuzawa and ranpo (cause they insisted) when a little blonde girl with blue eyes wearing a red dress matching with a red bow in her hair and red shoes walked in

she immediately went to the glass case to look at the desserts displayed

as she looked around, you watched her at the corner of your eyes and a with a smile as you wiped down one of the tables

after wiping down the table, you quickly went to go wash your hands and you walked over and stood next to her

you bent slightly and smiled bigger as she stared at one of the treats in the glass

“is that the one you want?”

she nodded without looking away from the glass

you giggled before going to the back and placing the one she wanted on the plate and held it out to her

the blonde was honestly so confused bc one, no adult supervision, and two, there was no tell tale way to know that she had money

to you, she was an open book so when she looked at you, her face immediately read “but i have no money, or a parent...??”

you simply patted her head and pushed along to one of the nearby tables and pulled a chair for her

you did not regret anything when you saw the look on her face when you told her that it was on the house

“name’s elise!” “i’m (y/n)!”

you sat with her for a while continuing to give her sweets she reminded you of ranpo in all honestly and talking abt random things

she mostly complained abt a “rintarou” though

speaking of which, when a man in a doctor’s coat came through the door near screaming “elise-chan! elise-chan!” you figured that was probably the rintarou she was complaining abt

you smiled as you watched the two interact

“elise-chan why would just disappear like that?!”

“i wanted to see rintarou cry”

“so mean!”

...their behavior was questionable but endearing ig

“rintarou” suddenly turned to you, thanking you for “taking care of his daughter bc she’s always getting into trouble”

*cue angry noises and face from elise*

he introduced himself as a “local neighborhood doctor”

you smelled bullshit but didn’t say anything bc he has been kind to you so far

he asked you how he could repay you and you were thinking that you can actually win something bc you’re not refusing an ada member oh you poor oblivious child but you were appalled when elise answered for you

it went like this

“is there anything i can repay you with for taking care of my dear elise-chan? perhaps paying for all the sweets she has eaten?”

“oh no! don’t worry abt that, it’s nothing! it was a pleasure getting to know—”

“let’s buy out all of her food!”

you knew she enjoyed your pastries and stuff but like w h a t

you inwardly sigh in relief when the doctor agreed with you that “that’s a bit much elise-chan” and you were thanking every deity out there when suddenly

she threw a temper tantrum

you watched in confusion and slight horror at the 180 of the sweet little girl you were talking to like 10 minutes ago

her guardian panicked slightly and tried to get her to calm down but ahaha no that didn’t happen

“WAHH rintarou!! but i want it!! (y/n)’s food is the best i’ve ever had!!”

“b-but elise-chan, we can’t just buy—”

“i’ll wear all the dresses i’ve ever rejected and more if we buy it out right now and keep buying sweets here forever”

“...deal”

your eyes twitch at the “innocent” smiles the two gave you after their “talk”

fast forward literally 5 minutes and you’ve already flipped the close sign on your door with note (saying you’re sold out) and you’re all over the place running around behind the counter trying to fit everything into boxes as the two are sitting on a nearby table lightly chatting

about 20-25, nearly 30 minutes later you finishing packing everything in the glass case

it was a lot

we’re literally talking about tiered cakes and dozens of batches of cookies, cupcakes, literally everything and anything

when the two notice you’re done they get up meet you by the register

“a-ano, you really don’t have to buy all of this...the total is going to be quite large...”

“no worries!”

honestly at this point, you kind of missed the chaotic calls from ranpo that happened like every half hour

you thought you were done being surprised for the day but next thing you know men in suits come into Sakura’s and begin to load the boxes into a black car

dealing with the detectives was already starting to be a handful and now you have to deal whoever the hell these two people where

quite frankly, you were having trouble wrapping your head around all of this

like-

who buys out a whole bakery?!

and who has the money to buy out a whole bakery?!

what kind of job could you possibly have?!

was this guy really just a doctor?!

right before the two leave you call out to them

“a-ah wait! i don’t think i ever caught your name!”

the two blink at you before eyeing each other

“mori ougai” 😄😄

you started smelling bad shits again

it was a weird feeling

you felt something off but at the same time, you weren’t really afraid 

and with that the two left

you were already tired from this whole thing but you now get the rest of the day off

so i guess something worked out in your favor

until the next fricking day

again, ranpo and fukuzawa canceled out on you

you weren’t sure if you were relieved or not

and as soon as you thought you were going to have a normal business day, guess who walked through the doors

yeah that’s right

“the local neighborhood doctor” and his daughter

you froze before eyeing them with suspicion

if mori was amused, he didn’t show it, only giving you a smile

elise immediately left his side and practically leaped onto you making you cut yourself with the knife you were holding

well shit now you’re bleeding

it was only 7:15 in the morning; you had literally just opened

you were cursing every deity out there

you quickly grab a nearby and press it against your wound and scrambled around looking for the first aid kit you had nearby

“oh? (y/n)-kun are you bleeding?”

“(y/n) i’m sorry!”

“a-ah, no worries elise-chan”

you really need to stop spacing out bc next thing you know, the sign on your door is flipped to close again (along with the same note from yesterday explaining you’re sold out taped on the door) and you’re sitting at a table with elise in your lap and mori wrapping your hand in a bandage

“tsk tsk (y/n)-kun you need to be more careful...but it is elise-chan’s fault”

“die rintarou!”

“but no worries! it’s not that deep so you don’t need stitches”

“thank you, mori-san, but can i ask why you and elise-chan are here again? not that i mind...”

as you were losing the argument (obviously) you realized that you don’t even know why they want to buy everything again

“mori-san, why do the two of you even want to buy everything in the first place?”

“ah it was elise-chan’s request of course! but i do admit, after trying some of your sweets myself, i grew quite attached! so did the rest of my subordinates after my precious elise-chan made them try it, not like they could refuse her or me; i am their boss after all (y/n)-kun.”

eventually, you found yourself holding a bunch of shopping bags full of dresses and clothes of the sort

“why do i have bags of clothing that are fit for me rather than elise?”

“oh that’s because elise refused to go without you and if you didn’t get anything!”

the two of you actually bonded over making fun of him

the three of you were out for basically the entire day and you were exhausted

cause holy shit there was a lot of money wasted, shopping bags obtained, and walking involved

it was around 5 pm when the three of you were making it back to Sakura’s

along the way you found yourself having a pleasant conversation with mori

even if he was a questionable person to be having a pleasant conversation with, you enjoyed it nonetheless

you hoped that it makes it harder to get rid of you if he ever changed his mind but we don’t talk abt that

anywho

when the three of you arrived, you immediately dumped all the bags you were holding and went straight to work packaging everything for “the local neighborhood doctor”

before they left, mori agreed to not buy out all of your stock except for some occasions but instead settled ordering massive batches of a little bit of everything every few days

how that’s not the same as buying everything you won’t ever know

you were standing outside Sakura’s watching the two get into the car that had arrived when suddenly, mori turned to you

“ah (y/n)-kun, i know that you wouldn’t tell anyone about this, it wouldn’t be like you to, but just a reminder, it would probably be in your best interest not to let anything slip to anyone okay? we wouldn’t want any enemies using you against the port mafia. so take care of yourself hm? see you next time”

and bippity boppity boo just like that, they were gone

how that man managed to get your personality down in just like 10 hours you don’t want to know

and that’s basically the story of how you started making more food/bake goods to sell

true to his word, every few days, or sometimes consecutive days, mori called you and made a large order

and i mean large

on those days, someone from the port mafia would pick it up and then you get paid

thankfully, by increasing the amount of food you made, you always had enough to put out on display and to sell even after the large order

before doing that, on those days you didn’t have a large stock, someone by the name of edogawa ranpo would weep at your feet

he will deny this; after all, great detectives don’t do weeping

or so he says

and speaking of the detective, you never did tell him what had transpired the two days he and fukuzawa were absent on checking on you

but tbh, i even think ranpo could’ve deduct this one

you didn’t tell him bc you were afraid, no of course not that’s ridiculous mori, in elise’s words, was a loser

you didn’t tell him bc you knew he and fukuzawa would flip the fuck out

and that would be a major inconvenience to you

you didn’t see the point in telling them anyway

so whatever, it’s like it’ll be important

and if ranpo and fukuzawa noticed the abundant of bags near the door leading up to the staircase when they visited you at the end of the day they didn’t say anything

of course one of them said smth

“ne (n/n)-chan since when did you like to buy a bunch of things; waste of money if you could just be using that money to make more food so you wouldn’t sell out right away and have food to feed me”

your eyes twitched

he could’ve worded that a little better but whatever

it is ranpo-san after all

“i just got carried away since i closed up early; you know it isn’t often i get to go shopping”

and if he smelled your bullshit he didn’t say anything

for real this time

let’s just say quite a few heads were turned when they saw their boss leading a bunch of lower level subordinates carrying many light pink boxes of different sizes to his office for the second time

*whispers* he was lying when elise made his other subordinates eat your food; they kept it all to themselves”

was that a ruse to help lead the revelation of his real occupation who knows

“(y/n)-kun is a very interesting person don’t you think so elise-chan?”

“quiet. i’m eating cake.”

When I found out about Milgram it's inevitable that I got into it, since I love Deco*27's music so much. However as a fair warning, the entire project deals with extremely heavy themes since every character is a killer in some way or another. So if you are uncomfortable with content involving themes such as abuse, suicide, death, stalking, violence, abortion, and animal death, please do not look into this project or read any further.

I'd add a read more but I still don't know how from mobile lmao.

Just wanted to share my thoughts on each prisoner so far

Haurka: I am choosing to agree with the theory that he had some sort of learning disability and that he lashed out in jealousy because people didn't understand him or his needs. I also currently prefer the twin brother theory over the younger self theory, because if he was so miserable at the time why would his past self look so happy? While I don't believe mental disabilities excuse someone from being held responsible for their actions, I do believe that he was too young at the time and not given the right tools and help to learn to cope. Instead he falsely learned lashing out was the only way to be taken seriously. He shows extreme remorse for how he behaved and seems to be triggered by anything that reminds him of his past (his dislike of young children and animals in particular). I want to forgive him so that he can get the help he desperately needs.

Yuno: Abortions are not murder. It's extremely easy for me to forgive her. Especially since it's heavily implied that her clients refused to use protection even when asked. She probably didn't have a way to get access to birth control without bringing her controversial career in compensated dating to light, either.

Futa: honestly I got into Milgram so late that I haven't put much personal thought into Futa because quite honestly: I don't like him and I feel like he represents a huge part of what's wrong with cancel culture. He fancies himself a hero, thinking that he's fighting for what's right. It's pretty clear to me though that he's taking his so called 'villains' out of context and condemning them for things he doesn't have a full picture on. I think i'd be able to understand the story better if I could read the screen on his phone, but I do not know japanese and rely heavily on fan translations for content outside of the provided lyric translations. It's clear he didn't actually want anyone dead, since the monsters in his fantasies are just KOed... Up until the last one, where the literal blood on his hands shakes him out of the fantasy. I see a lot of people saying he bullied and doxxed someone until they committed suicide. I'm still glad he was voted unforgiven for this round though.

Mu: I don't... Fully understand Mu's story. I understand she was bullied and harassed by people who pretended to be her friend initially, which is something I can absolutely sympathize with. I also understand that she was just being used for her wealth rather than seen as a real friend. What I don't understand is why she targeted the specific girl she did for her 'escape'. The popular theory is that she had a crush on the girl, got outed as being not straight, and the entire school including her friends started relentlessly bullying her even physically for it. The other girl seems to just straight up avoid and ignore her, which is why I understand the point of being pressured nearly to suicide and exploding but I don't understand why she attacked the specific person she did. I think my opinion of her can go either way the more information we get.

Shidou: I'm following the harvested organs from his patients to try and save his lover theory. Honestly even with the vague imagery there's so little wiggle room for doubt in this one. I don't think he should be forgiven, but he also wants to die because he already saw his lover die which he is quoted as thinking to be a fate worse than death. For all the lives he's ruined, I almost want to say he deserves that torture... At least, that's how I'm dealing with the idea that he was already voted forgiven by the time I got here.

Mahiru: I!!! Hate!!! Her!!! Overly clingy and controlling of her lover who she stalked while trying to emulate romance novels to force into a relationship with her. Heavily implied to have driven him to suicide via emotional abuse and guilt tripping him back to her every time he tried to break up with her. I'm so glad she was already voted unforgiven by the time I got here. I actually had to take a break and step back after the weight of her song hit me because it reminded me of so many people I've had the misfortune of having in my life in the past.

Kazui: so far my first one that I have an original theory on instead of following one someone else came up with! I just posted my full thoughts on the video about an hour ago. But basically, I feel like his wife divorced him and wanted to stay friends but he wanted to get back together. It escalated until they had an argument that resulted in her falling or being pushed to her death. Seems to view himself as the protagonist in his own romantic tragedy. My opinion on him was swinging wildly until I came up with this theory and now I am leaning heavily towards unforgiven because it is the similar selfish pushiness as mahiru minus the manipulation.

Amane: most of her imagery flew over my head until I read some comments and theories. I support the 'grew up in a religious cult that literally tortured her if she didn't follow the rules' theory. I'm voting to forgive her because just like Haruka, I think she's too young to truly be held responsible, especially when it's currently unclear to me what actually happened. I think what she needs isn't punishment, but to be taken away from the cult and rehabilitated.

Mikoto: until we have more info I'm as confused as he is : )

Kotoko: seems to be pretty upfront about what's going on. I'm currently assuming that she fancies herself some kind of vigilante or holds a very strong personal grudge of some sort. Obv waiting for more info.

Exordium

Supernatural soap opera II, domestic edition.

Brief background info: Cerberus and Kia are pretty much newlyweds here – they’ve been bonded only a couple of weeks after a brief and intense courtship.

Anyway, here’s a little moment with my Demon lord doing his best to reject reality.

Cerberus woke blearily, hazily, feeling as if he’d partaken of one too many – or, for that matter, many too many – drinks the night before, although he’d done nothing of the sort. He sniffled and rubbed his nose as he sat up carefully, moving the bedcovers aside gently so to disturb Kia as little as possible, extricating his arm from underneath her as smoothly as he could. A slight shiver ran through him and he glanced across at the fireplace, which was, as it always was when he was in the room, alight in the usual manner. Hm. He shivered again as the background tickle in his nose he’d not yet had time to even give much thought to intensified abruptly, insistently, and with a sudden, sharp inhale, he brought his elbow to his face to cover an urgent sneeze, and a rapidly following second one, immediately looking back over his shoulder at Kia, his brow creased in alarm, worried that he’d woken her.

She didn’t seem particularly disturbed, however; only murmuring a whispered, sleepy “Bless you”, cocooning the bedcovers more tightly around herself as she rearranged herself among the sheets, and making a small sound of tired contentment, not quite ready to fully wake yet. Cerberus, simultaneously relieved and enchanted, smiled at the sight of her, distracted momentarily from his own discomforts ­– his newly bonded’s hair a mass of silken dark chaos across the pillows, framing her exquisite face, her expression in repose serene and so very beautiful – and he leant over to touch a tender kiss to her forehead, his heart warming at the resultant small reflexive smile that crossed her face, though she otherwise didn’t stir.

An unwelcome returning irritation called him back to himself, and he pressed his fingers firmly against the bridge of his nose to subdue it, sniffling as quietly as he could manage. He swallowed with unexpected difficulty, frowning at a resultant slight sting, but disregarded it, vaguely reassuring himself that it was nothing, he’d just slept badly, that’s all, as he collected his dressing robe and crossed the bedroom to the ensuite, closing the door behind him. He’d feel better after a shower, once he’d woken up a bit more.

Surely.

He always shakes this sort of thing off.

 Why the hell is it so cold in here? Cerberus, descending the staircase, brought the lounge room hearth to roaring life with a wave as he passed it on his way to the kitchen, feeling slightly more awake, if unfortunately not much more clear-headed, post-shower. And it would be much appreciated, he thought with another sniffle, if whatever it was that was bothering his nose would give it a damn rest.

He sighed, briefly wondering if it was possible that he was coming down with something, and dismissed the idea almost…well, not completely out of hand, but he wasn’t prepared to give it any meaningful credence at this point either. These things never take, and he has that meeting about finer distinction points within the grading Levels anyway, and that had already been difficult enough to set up a time that suited everybody as it was. Damned if he was going to cancel and attempt to reschedule over a headache and what was probably an overreaction to the lower-than-optimal temperature in the house. And the place highly likely needed dusting too; this last month had been quite the whirlwind of activity and intensity, not a great deal of which had involved deep cleaning, and that was almost certainly the…reason for… As if on cue, the irritation which seemed determined not to give him a break this morning returned with ferocity, and another pair of sneezes overtook him almost before he recognised what was coming. He shook his head briefly, sharply, frowning, and sneezed again. Goddamn it, DeVille. He sniffled compulsively, and took several deep, measured breaths, pressing an index finger underneath his nose in an attempt to return to some sort of equilibrium. Honestly. Just…stop. He impatiently Created a coffee, the idea of waiting for water to boil in the standard manner seeming even more unnecessary than usual to him right now, and walked back over to the loungeroom, ostensibly to review the papers he’d prepared for today’s meeting but more immediately to avail himself of a couple of the tissues from the box on the coffee table. Taking a seat on the couch, he wiped his nose, sighed, sipped his coffee and attempted to concentrate on at least some of the more pertinent points for the meeting.

This, unfortunately, was proving a much more difficult proposition than it should have been. His head remained clouded by a steady dull throb, plus what was starting to become a regular, constant sniffle, not to mention the low-grade background accompanying itch intermittently threatening to turn into a sneeze, demanding his attention, pulling his focus away from matters at hand only to result in moment after frustrating moment of acute and tremulous unfulfilled expectation, and having the consequence of making him feel as if he was unable to accomplish literally anything this morning. Repeatedly.

For fuck’s sake. What the hell is the…

He inhaled shakily, suddenly, desperately, the need to sneeze returning with keen certainty this time, and he grabbed another tissue in preparation for…

“hh… Huh-TSCHH-uu!”

“Bless you!”

He turned hastily, surprised, to note Kia’s arrival in the foyer, but the insistent tickle wasn’t done with him yet, and he sneezed again without pause, twice.

“Oh, bless you, sweetheart.”

Cerberus sighed in mild vexation. “Thank you, darkling. Pardon me.” He wiped his nose firmly, sniffling yet again. “Sorry.”

Kia wandered over to lean against the couch, smoothing his hair back from his face, and looked at him with curiosity, concern. “You okay, hon? You sound like you’re catching cold.”

“I’m alright.” Cerberus, still not willing to seriously consider that possibility, dismissed it with a wry smile.  “Just a bit of an irritation. Didn’t sleep well. It’ll pass.” It has to.

Kia rubbed his shoulders gently and gave him a dubious look. “You sure about that?”

“It’s nothing. I’ll be fine.” Cerberus finished the last of his coffee, stood and walked around the couch to meet Kia, kissing her on the top of her head. “I have to head out fairly soon, actually. I have that damn Levels meeting in about…” He checked the time. “Hmm. Much sooner than I’d like, it seems.” He wrapped his arms around Kia and pulled her to him, kissing her tenderly. “Sorry, love.”

“Mm, no problem,” murmured Kia, taking quiet pleasure in his firm embrace, reaching up to curl her hand around the back of his neck, through his hair. “I’ve got a bunch of Inception papers to go over, anyway, and all the…stuff. Only a million things or so. Testing prep. No problem. All good.” She chuckled sardonically, trailing a finger down his chest. “Okay, maybe it’s freaking me out just a bit.”

Cerberus laughed quietly and kissed her before reluctantly breaking their embrace, collecting his notes from the table, and walking towards the door. He selected the heavier coat from the clothes stand there, pausing for a moment. “You’ll be brilliant, darkling. I have no doubt of it.” He sniffled again and rubbed his nose, not escaping Kia’s notice for a second.

“Babe…” She moved to him, fastening an extra couple of buttons on his coat and straightening the collar. “Are you sure you’re…”

Bemused by her fussing over him, an unfamiliarity he found himself strangely enamoured by, Cerberus smiled softly, cupped her face in his hand and offered her a repeated reassurance of something that he very much hoped to be true. “I’ll be fine.”

Kia eyed him doubtfully but decided to allow him the benefit of that doubt nevertheless, though not without reservation, and she gave him a quick kiss in farewell. “Keep warm, sweetheart.” :I love you.:

“Certainly trying.” :I love you too.:

 The drastic drop in temperature from the manor to the outdoors took Cerberus by surprise, even though he thought he’d prepared for it, and he fastened the final top button on his coat, a shiver running through him and the itch that had plagued him since waking returning with a vengeance. He blinked rapidly and rubbed his nose, but he knew any further fight here was a lost cause as he inhaled deeply, helplessly.

“Huh…ahh-HEHTSSHhuu!”

Fucking hell. He sniffled sharply, wiped his nose again and tried to breathe more evenly. Reaction to sudden falls in temperature like this were hardly an unknown quantity for him, though, and he managed to rationalise it well enough - almost. This will pass. It always passes.

Cerberus pressed his fingers against still irritated sinuses, the overwhelming need to sneeze again wasting no time in negating his determined wish for this to be nothing, and he offered a silent entreaty to deities he didn’t believe in to just make this stop. Now. Just…

“hhuh-TSCHHUU!”

The sneeze sent him into another series of relentless sniffles, head throbbing, and he sighed heavily, exasperated.  Just get to the damn meeting. This. Will. Pass.

Surely.

So I don’t normally log onto this account much so I haven’t seen any of the many messages and such I’ve been getting on recent posts concern some dumb drama. In a nut shell, some adults who act more like immature children from the Mean Girls universe love to make crap up and I was the current target as I.... was breathing? I dunno. Apparently I’m the anti christ or something and they haven’t gotten over that their attempts to cancel me and even cause me to commit acts of self harm with continued targeted harassment and involving me in drama I know nothing about have all failed. Frankly, it’s because I literally don’t give a shit. I come to tumblr to RP, make my posts, and then hop on my PS4, switch, class work, gym time whatever. I don’t care about drama or what’s going on in the RPC as I know it’s a shot show filled with drama and people trying gossip girl type ‘takedowns’ of others just for breathing in when they were suppose to breathe out.

Because of that crap I literally just sign on to in the RPs I’m in then close the tumble tab. I do not have a personal, I do not check out any tags other than for the face claims I use to get pics or gifs, and I go out of my way NOT to know anyone’s personal blogs or their aliases. If we talk on discord great, if not, great as well. I do occasionally make my own group and put my current one on hiatus as the recent drama turned me off but going to reopen it soon. I’ve just been part of a couple of groups since and currently. However, since some people are interested in my past here because of the nonsense, here we go.

I was on an RP called alegendreborn which was one of my first RPs on tumblr. It seemed great and welcoming. I picked one of their skeleton canons and was happy to be there. I got along with people but didn’t know how to reblog properly as I was new to tumblr and three way posts were extreme confusing. Apparently my inability to properly reblog them pissed off some of the members. Because of that I only really talked to one person in the RP who helped me learn how to reblog correctly. Also, my character had a pre-established connection to another as a ‘best friend’ so we had a couple of threads. However, I quickly noticed the min of that character could go 3 weeks to months without posting but pass all activity checks and would focus on bubble RPing with the same three muns. When this person ignored our thread for weeks I sent them three messages four days apart each that reminded them of the thread which I was told they’d post. On the last message I told this person I was ending our thread and requesting that staff change my characters group in an event they were running as they put our characters in the same group and I no longer trusted this person to post in a timely manner to me. I was quickly ‘invited to leave’ and had multiple members message me on Skype to basically tell me I was shit and an awful person for trying to get a reply I’d been waiting 2 months to get. So I left and never looked back.

I later joined an RP called warofthenewage-rpg which again seemed friendly but much more basic lore wise than the previous RP. I quickly noticed a character who was almost EXACTLY like a skeleton canon I had on an RP I made on a jcink forums RP two years before. I messaged the player of that character asking if he knew of my RP he said he did but before I could presue anything he instantly wanted to plot my character with his. I did message the main about it but was later told they ‘never got it’. We plotted our character as a couple as the chemistry they were displaying in our first few threads was very apparent and we loved posting together and could pop out paragraphs of posts minutes after the other just posted. Eventually, that min begun to became very controlling of how and what I was posting. If my character had a thought of his that wasn’t postive or lovey, he’d berate the hell out of me on Skype and threaten to end our plot. Apparently he had also been complaining the his friends in the RP and told them I posted ‘too many actions’ and that it made him feel forced to react in specific ways. That telephoned to other members and morphed into I was forcing him to do exactly what I told him to post and poweplaying/god modding him. Now I come from forum RPs and there to post A LOT and you progress the thread with each post. This is done so you’re not 30 posts in and you’re characters are still at the door that one of them knocked on in the very first post.

Eventually, most members begun to refuse to speak to me because of the complaining he did which they’d snowball into some out of this world epic drama. The staff even begun to be hostile, use the gossip blog to belittle my character, and would pretend not to receive my applications when I tried for additional characters or my wanted ads but use the info to create a very similar character or ‘update’ an existing one. Well, about 2 months of members ignoring me or belittling me followed, staff made it worse and the mun I had a plot with decided to when not telling me I suck and no one liked me, he’d say we still had our plot but then took my character out of the equation and made another character take his place. Naturally I was upset as I had been through months of harassment, belittling, and treated like crap by everyone in the RP because of this guy only to in the end be thrown away. I resolved to move my character on. I only spoke to him and two other people in the RP and one of them had a character that was insanely into my character. However, the guy I had the plot with was insanely sexually attracted to the face claim so when my character and this new one had threads, he tried to tell the RP and even the other mun that I was forcing them into posting and into smutting which was engaged by the other person in one of our threads. I was harassed by that guy for days until I dropped that plot and basically used a ‘reset’ option for my character. However, that pissed off the guy and I again was relentlessly attacked by him on Skype. After months of the members ignoring me for (to my knowledge, no reason as I never spoke with 98% of the RP) or insulting me and out right telling me to kill myself, an attempt was made and I was effectively gone for almost two months for recovery.

Almost a year later I came back and begun to remake my old jcink RP here on tumblr. It took me about 5 months to do and I dug up codes from codepen and codrops to use in the theme. I also copied the aesthetic from the jcink RP’s theme and brought it over. The RP was very popular and seen as one of the best designed and story driven ‘mutant’ type RPs around. However, an admin from another RP became very bitter at it and me. This admin ran an RPH and had their own RP in the same genre in the past. They were revamping it and noticed our RPs had a similar aesthetic, apparently monchromatic themes AKA a them that uses shades of white, grey, and black for most of its coloring was only allowed to be used by that admin. The admin attacked my RP and claimed I had stolen their theme and coding and even went so far as going into my coding and pasting selective bits of it. I was asleep when she made the original post and woke up to dozens of anon messages ranging from calling me a thief to demanding I kill myself. All my members were harassed in the same way and she had contacted all the RPHs I had asked for a shoutout or was on their spotlights of to ‘inform them’ and then openly attack them if they didn’t remove any mention of my RP and signal boost her post. She even went so far as to harass and threaten RPs I was on, that I was one, or that had a character that sounded anything like any of mine. I even had an affiliation thing started but many of those I had been added to messaged me that they were being harassed and I told them to pretend they didn’t know what was going on. I’d take the hit for them and spare them farther harassment and leave their RPs if they wanted as I was on most of them.

During this time I was recovering from everything I was being slammed with be anons and the RPs previously mentioned going off as well in some pity attempt to get revenge for... not being liked on their RPs three and two years previously? I also was collecting evidence that many of the codes this RPH claimed she made and in stole were in fact on codrops and codepen. A good amount I made myself but a large chunk were from these resource sites with some heavy edits so they’d work better on tumblr. I even had evidence that many of her own coding templates had codes directly from these sites and others with no credit given to them and her claiming she created all the coding on her own. I submitted it to many RPHs and many of them saw the error and how this person was very toxic in the community and was making more drama than helping it. Some ignored it outright as she was popular and I was just a nobody. It took 3 years to recover from it in terms of my reputation and I again shut down my RP for a bit as I had made another attempt on my own life as that person and her friends continued to harass me and attack me on their personal or RPH accounts.

The last bit of drama came when I joined an RP called Corinth Bay. At first there wasn’t any and I had long since adopted my, sign on just to post and then bounce method of being on an RP. I eventually got to know one member named Shane. @inthenamexofthemoon I think we became pretty good friends as we talked everyday for basically the whole day. We had plots, enjoyed posting, and just chatting. I noticed that RP was heavily cliquey and wasn’t aware that Shane was a part of the admin’s clique. This group had multiple issues with member complaining their characters were being ignored and people were bubble RPing with the same people over and over. I myself had to constantly ask people if they wanted to plot or just post and even the main had to post up announcement about ignoring starters to make closed ones and expanding who they post with. I also had questions on much of the lore of the RP as other than the origins of each supernatural species, the lore was very generic and vague. I asked around and got a lot of different opinions on what could or couldn’t be done by each species and just went with what was common among them all. Shane himself helped me a bit and I went with his suggestions which apparently were completely wrong as the staff had to talk to me on ‘breaking lore’.

After that, I expressed openly how I felt the staff didn’t like me and my concern that given how cliquey the place was, if the staff didn’t like me I’d probably be ‘exiled’ from the group as a whole AKA no one would post or talk to me. Which did happen with the exception of Shane. Others I had spoken to had long left and told me stories of the awfulness of some of the members and staff. So I begun working on an RP of the same genre that I had half finished years before. Shane was kept in the loop every step of the way and pinned and loved all the lore I showed him which I did to ensure it was both in-depth and easy to follow but also wasn’t ‘bad’ IE, offensive if certain things are mentioned. He loved it and ensured me it was great and pinned everything I showed him so he’d reference it when making his characters. Eventually I worked on it so much that I kept only the bare minimum activity requirements for Corinth Bay but obeyed the rules of activity to the letter. However, the staff ultimately removed me despite even admitting that they knew I still had a couple of days before failing the activity check and had actually ‘not counted’ a couple of posts I made for an event going on as I should have replied to starters for it first but it wasn’t a requirement. Also they used a blog to post up starters as many RPs like to do now only they were also slow to reblog them and never used the starter tags so they’d get buried quickly on the dash with everyone posting picture posts and what not.

Ultimately I gave up on that RP, didn’t need the toxic environment and finished mine. Shane got very quiet though and didn’t reply to my discord messages for a couple of days. When he did he suddenly got a bit hostile and everything in my RP WAS ‘problematic’ and because of that he wouldn’t be joining. I had no idea what he meant as before he said it was perfect and awesome so I asked what he meant specifically. Eveutally he told me a little of what he meant. Apparently there was racism as In the witch’s page mentioning that voodoo and other cultural magical/practices was a form of magic some witches practiced was both racist and cultural appropriation. Although voodoo was indeed a magical/belief practice used as a magical practice I decided to just remove its mention in the end. He also didn’t like that in the lore, there were female characters that were ‘bad’ and that was sexist. This I choose not to change as it’s sexist to say women can’t be villains and felt as just an excuse. Especially since my lore included many powerful women, men, and gender less entities that were villains, heroes, and neutral parties.

Eventually after opening, I decided to message the people I had previous posted with telling them the RP was ready and I’d love for them to check it out. Those from Corinth Bay I messaged were either aware I was making one and wanted to see it or were people Shane and I hinted to it being made and they had at least a slight interest in it. Admittedly, I also messaged blogs that came on the ‘recommended blogs’ part of the dash. Only those that were inactive according to the last few IC posts that were showing in their blogs. I know this gets a mixed reaction from some as some view it as a horrible thing even if the blogs are inactive but many MANY people also appriecate it and the fact that someone read their blog and was very impressed with their writing ability and character. I myself receive many of these messages on my retired blogs and don’t see an issue with it myself. Even if I did I’d just block the blog that sent it and never think of them again like a normal person.

One of the members I DIDN’T even know who they were apparently didn’t like this and decided to make drama over it. To this day I don’t know who this person even is or was when I was on that RP and still don’t as everyone drops and makes new characters when bored on there. Shane went fully 180 on me and turned vile and petty which is clearly to save face with the people on that RP. He knows me from all our talks and that the bullshit he spreads is itself false but still was a bit of a pity bitch for a while. Apparently the friend @stephwuzhere @loganlcrmans of the admin that tried to cancel me also wanted to rehash that old drama but was quickly shut down. I had no idea who this person even was at first as again, I don’t follow any tags and go out of my way to avoid personal blogs and ones like RPH, RPT, and whatever unless just asking for a quick shoutout to my RP. I had no idea that this person was also very toxic and involved in targeted harassment, grooming, and identity theft of various people in the RPC just because she didn’t like them at the moment.

I have decided to stay away from this shit storm despite some of these people still trying to drag me into it even though I literally haven’t thought about them for months and barely even remember they exist. I’ll be reopening my RP soon and hope that these people who live their privlenged lives will eventually get over themselves and do some growing up. I say their are privileged because you must be if you can harp on drama for months and keep dragging someone you have no connection or knowledge of. The rest of us, adults, have things like work, bills, school, friends, and trying to destress from watching our bank account get more and more empty to care about pity immature online drama. Especially when it’s bullshit like ‘he dared to remind me he exists’. Please, grow up and do better people. There is life outside of the internet and when you get too old to be in the RPC which is apparently a thing now, you’ll see just how stupid you were to make so much drama for no reason other than being pity, stupid, immature, brats.

My Happy and Sad Sweetener Tour Experience Pt.I

So, how do I start to tell you how crazy and amazing this experience was? 

Well I can definitely tell you it was a r-o-l-l-e-r-c-o-a-s-t-e-r of emotions. Literally. However, before I go into detail about my concert experience of the sweetener tour, I think it is important to give you all some background info to go with it.

So, I have been a fan of Ariana Grande for QUITE some time! Actually the date I set as a starting date of me being a fan of hers is 2012. That’s when I followed her on twitter and made an account just for that reason (lol). 

So 2012 it was, Ariana still in red hair and petticoats, singing Put Your Hearts Up and Pink Champagne on a daily basis. I just loved everything about her. Her style, her persona but most importantly her voice and music. Her vocals just blew me away and she was a steady companion of mine throughout school (remember I was 14 in 2012). 

I always dreamt of meeting her but never really considered it. I was too young to go on my own and all of my friends had no interest in seeing her whatsoever. Her first tour, the listing sessions, were only in America and I am..... not. I was stuck in Germany, unable to see her anyways, so the question never arose. However, she came here for the Honeymoon Tour, but again I did not dare to go on my own. The Dangerous Woman Tour came around and for some reason I did not get tickets. The concert in Frankfurt was unfortunately cancelled due to Manchester...

What the Manchester incident has shown me is that I should not give two f’cks about what other people think or if I am going on my own. I realised if you wait too long you might miss your chance of seeing her altogether. Manchester really showed me what a beautiful human being she is and how caring she is towards her fans and others.

So, when the Sweetener Tour was announced I anxiously waited for German dates to be released and boom: Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg (multiple times lol) and I knew I HAD to go. I saved up money to buy a laptop but I was like - nope I am spending it on concert tickets - and that is what I did. Not only did I get concert tickets but I got Meet and Greet Tickets for Cologne. I was so damn happy and could not believe my luck when I received my tickets. Also because I got them in a presale via Telekom in Germany. My father is a customer there so I was able to use his log in to buy the tickets.

I met some beautiful and nice people online who also had Meet & Greet tickets for Cologne and we planned to go there together and meet up at the concert! When we arrived the sad news started to come in (and that is the really sad part about this experience): Our Meet & Greet got cancelled and there would be no Soundcheck either. As someone who had not even dared to dream of this moment this was.... heartbreaking. We all were pretty devastated and sad. 

However, I was so glad I had people around me who felt my pain, who were just as sad and upset. We all tried to comfort each other and having each others backs really made this whole thing not nearly as bad. We still got the see the VIP loung which was later cancelled for other European dates.

So, the VIP loung was ok lol. We were not allowed to take our phones with us, which made no sense because we did not meet her. They gave us a “cocktail” which was more like juice with some Alkohol. The lounge was ok, we had some food to eat, like donuts, cookies and fruits and a section for taking pictures plus a section to apply glitter jewels to your face. We had to wait for a very long time because they just left us there during the time we were supposed to meet her.

When they let us in pit, they did not care that some people had Meet & Greet tickets and others don’t. Which I and many others thought was pretty unfair. They told us to not start running or we would be kicked out (fair enough, that sh’t is dangerous). There were a bunch of people entering before me so I did not get the desired spot at the mini stage but I got a spot at the barrier which was ok. 

I was super nervous and could not wait till the concert started. Now looking back, I think the spot at the mini stage really is not the best to go for. The main stage is where it is at everyone. I know everyone wants to take her hand but you will have a much better view at the front than at the back. She also did not take any hands in Cologne, so that did not matter anyways.

Social House and Ella Mai performed before Ariana went onto stage and they were pretty awesome. I love Ella Mai’s music and her music has been on repeat since the concert. Her voice is very soothing and just R&B. Social House was also amazing. I am pretty sure most people, except hardcore fans did not know who they were but they were still able to hype the crowd and “Haunt You” was such a magical experience.

Now it was time for Ariana and I can’t tell you how weird it was to hear and see her live for the first time after 7 years of being a fan. It was so surreal, seeing her standing there in front of me, and realising “Yep, she is a human being, she is real” and when I tell you I have not seen a prettier human being I AINT lying. Her voice….. is heaven. Like, I could not believe my ears or eyes or whatever was left of me. My soul left my body and I lost track of time. The concert went by so quickly but she really performed for a long time (90 minutes I believe). 

All in all a very crazy day and somewhat sad but happy at the same time. Ariana was amazing but you could tell she felt a little sad here and there. I have to split up this post in two because I went to a second date in Berlin which was just a dream. I got to meet her mom and dad and the view was so much better.

i know and understand that brandon is cancelled. but i still get flustered when i am around him ugh

i saw carl today! i have had this entire plan to ask him all these questions but I never got the chance to. I first saw him while I was doing go backs (returning products customers decide they don’t want). I was hoping to see Avery while doing this but NOTHING. anyways, I only talked to carl for like 20 seconds because he was working and I was working so yeah.

Anyways when I went on lunch I was hoping to see carl in the break room but he wasn’t there. as I was panning the room I fuckiNG SAW BRANDON SITTING IN THE CORNER EATING ALONE.. BITCH MY JAW LITERALLY FUCKING DROPPED. MY MOUTH OPENED. I was so fucking shoooook. I fully expected him to be out eating with his friends awifujwlfijhil. after I walked in he noticed me and quickly looked away. while I was sitting down I pulled a Nina and took a picture. its really bad because I was hella nervous and could barely hold my phone oops. the back of his head is cute oops.

not long after I sat down he got his stuff and left. 

after I finished eating I left the break room to go outside and look for carl at his usual smoking spot. nothing. so I decided to go to my car and charge my phone while I call my friend. we only talked for a few minutes because the poor soul was busy. anyways as I go out to leave my car STARTS BEEPING AT ME. LOUD ASFUCKKK. the alarm was going off and I had to idea how to make it stoppp. I shut my door. I unlocked the door. I locked the door. I pushed the alarm button on my key fob. I turned off and on my lights lmao. I TURNED ON MY CAR AND NOTHING. it eventually stopped on its own. I was so stressed and nervous I had no idea if anyone was around bc that shit was hella embarrassing. I stayed in my car for like another minute beaucse I was spooked and if there was someone around I didn’t want them to see me get out of my car oops. I also had no idea why the heck it did that.

when I first got the car I remember reading in the owners manual that there's a security system set in place in which the alarm will go off if it things that you have locked your car, walked off, and accidentally left your key fob in it. thats what I assumed happened? I don’t know to be honest. in the moment I thought that i would never find a solution for it to stop because I felt like I tried everything and it wouldn't shut off. my mind went to the worst place (as it does) and I thought it was just never going to stop going off and my battery would drain and I would be stranded at Walmart. that reminds me, I need to put jumper cables in my trunk in case anything ever does happen. *knock on wood*

after all that I was still stressed and embarrassed but it was getting hot in my car so I was like “its time to dip”. after I opened the door THAT BITCH STARTED BEEPING AGAINNNN. honestly at this point I had no idea what to do. I thought that I should just get out the car or throw my key fob out the window so that it doesn’t think I left it inside. I kept locking and unlocking my car so that it realized that I was still in the fricken car and that bitch wouldn’t shut off. this time I had the door open and like jiggled the ignition and I think that turned it off. I don’t know honestly. it may have just turned off on its own again. im still mad at my car for this. my black Tesla would NEVER do me like that.

after it shut off the second time I finally left my car. as I was walking out there was a car passing by, I look up and a guy winked at me (ew). and as I continued walking he conitnued to look at me while he was driving. then he made a left turn to park in the lot and he was STILL looking at me. I make a face at him bc that shit annoys me oops. I did not want to be outside when that guy got out of his car so I started speed walking towards the entrance.

this is where I notice carl having a smoke and Brandon sitting down on the ground next to him while they talk. they were in carls OTHER smoking place UGHGUHSIHEIRGHU. and they have a CLEARRRRR ASSSS VIEW OF MY CAR. I don’t know if they saw me walk to my car / walk from my car / STRUGGLE TO TURN OFF MY CAR ALARM. at this point im embarrassed as fuck and ready to run away and hide. I was fucking pacing around walmart as I always do when im stressed. 

I then saw them both go into the break room area. I wait like one minute and then decide to go inside. Carl being carl asks how I am. we enter the actual break room area and talk for a bit. Brandon was outside in the little hallway thing, but he did walk into the break room for a few seconds while I was talking to carl.

i told him how I saw him outside a few minutes ago and that I struggled to turn off my car alarm. he told me “oh that was you?”. anyways I explained to him what happened and how I have no idea why the heck it went off or how to turn it off. he told me I should probably look at the owners manual to get more info on that  in case it ever happens in the future. we talk a bit more until he tells me that he has to get back to work.

so I walk him out to the little hallway area and expect Brandon to be long gone because we were talking for a while. but I found him there eating a granola bar looking cute as heck ):. I caught him off guard and he looked all shy and cute im annoyed. he smiled at me ):. carl mentioned how a few people in cap 2 got employee of the month (him and Brandon included) so theres a photo posted on the wall. I should take a picture of that and send it to y'all. when carl told me this Brandon ACTUALLY spoke in my presence for the first time in a hot minute. I think all he said was “yeahhh” while holding both his arms up pointing towards the photo. once again, he was acting cute as heck IM ANNOYED.

Brandon did something similar but obviously not as creepy looking. and he was facing the photo and not me. and his arms weren’t bent like that. honestly I'm just trying to get y'all to picture how it all went down because I don’t know how to describe things in words.

when my lunch was over I saw Avery with a friend. I discovered that today is his day off. he was looking fine as heck as per usual ugh. I'm starting to think that he isn’t a full time worker because I swear I don’t think he works 5 days a week.

i later saw brandon at self check. I never made eye contact with him and I never caught him staring. but he was very obviously just looking around for me to look at him if that makes sense. along the outside of self checkout theres a lot of chips and candies and he was just looking at that. and then he went to look inside one of those cooler things with sodas/energy drinks in it. and then he looked at the fucking Pokemon card things that are also near self check out. after he made a circle around self checkout looking at all that, he walked out the door and left without buying anything. during this time he didn’t look or smile at me unlike how he was two hours before that when I saw him on lunch. and this goes back to me mentioning how one moment he seems interested and the next he doesn’t.

so the last time I saw him today was when he got off work. I don’t know what he bought but he went to the register across from me. I thought he was going to say hi to me, and he might have if I didn’t have a customer. thats what he did the last time ):. so before this even happened I told the cashier he went to how I embarassed myself on my lunch today (car alarm thing). she told me that I shouldn’t be embarrassed and how she’s done way more embarrassing things. anyways after he left i told the cashier that the reason I was so embarrassed about the car alarm thing is because a cute boy that works at walmart saw. and so naturally, she asked who it was. I told her “its actually a guy that went into your line a few minutes ago, he works in CAP 2″. She replied with, “I know exactly who you're talking about, he is cute but you could do better” i love this girl aksjndfiuahebfuifo. we started talking about him for a while and I discovered that he rides bike to work. the whole time I thought he took the bus but the more that I think about it, riding a bike makes more sense because he gets out late and idk when the trimet stops running.

if my calculations are correct, brandon is off the next two days. in other words he isn’t working until wendesday. but I have wednesday and Thursday off so I won’t see him. and then when im back to work on friday carl is off both friday and saturday. the whole point of this is to inform you that the three (me, carl, and Brandon) of us aren't going to all work at the same time until next sunday. exactly a week from today. these are the best days because carl is with brandon a lot. and carl talks to me a lot. 

also carl wants to have dinner together or see a movie before i leave for school. and thats cool but i feel weird about it for some reason idk. how do i avoid this.

also, while working some guy asked me  how i pronounce my name. he told me that he’s never met someone with my name and how it was pretty. I had war flash backs to the time that Gabriel asked for my number because he also asked how I pronounce my name. anyways the guy from today was CUTE as heck.

Meeting Taylor.

It’s Sunday evening, I’m on the plane taking me back to Berlin. I’ve cried three times today. The pressure is off, the adrenaline is gone, and it hit me suddenly this morning: I met Taylor Swift.

I’ve been a fan of Taylor since 2009 and never got to see her live until this era. Each tour was a mix of happiness and sadness because I couldn’t make it. So when the UK tour dates of the Reputation tour were released and my friend Morgen bought us tickets without even knowing if I could make it, I couldn’t believe it. It was finally gonna happen, I was gonna see her.

When the tour kicked off, I was mind-blown. The positive energy radiating around Tumblr was incredible. With each tour date, I watched all of my friends getting picked to meet her and it couldn’t be more exciting cause they deserved it so much. I got lots of messages telling me it would happen for me too, especially since Taylor has been following my blog for three years and regularly likes my posts but I didn’t think anything of it — like everyone else on this website, I reblogged my tour posts in case she would see them but I was just rejoicing over the fact that I was finally going to see her.

But then something happened. On a Monday, June 18 at 8:25PM, I went on Tumblr and a DM notification almost immediately popped up on the app. I stopped breathing. It was Taylor Nation. What?! I clicked on the notification and there right under my eyes was a confidential message from Taylor’s team, telling me they’ve got an exciting opportunity they’d like to tell me about and asking me for my information and the best times to reach me. I fucking lost it. I was shaking and hyperventilating and couldn’t believe it it was ME who got that DM. I called my parents absolutely in shock before DMing them back. Then came the paranoia: when are they going to call me? what are they gonna say? I’d seen that they’d usually call people on the Thursday so I decided to keep on living normally and didn’t cancel any of my plans which I told Taylor Nation about. My week was so full!! On Tuesday evening my supervisor and I were invited to see an opera ballet one hour away from Berlin —  so fancy. I was honestly so happy to be there. At some point during the concert though, I decided to check my phone and suddenly froze. I had a missed call from an American number 7 minutes ago. You guys, I flipped my shit. I left the room in a hurry and tried to call Taylor Nation back. No answer. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. I was panicking. What if I’d lost the opportunity of a lifetime? I tried to call them back a few times but nothing. A few minutes later though, my phone rang. It was them again!! But then the nightmare went on — I was lost in the countryside and had NO signal. The woman on the phone began to talk but I heard her pretty badly and suddenly the line cut off. She called me back again and I only had the time to explain my situation before it cut off again. We both were trying to call each other but it was a complete failure, and I was left stressed out. I immediately messaged TN to ask them to call me later or the next day.

The next day, I couldn’t calm down. I was bringing my phone with me everywhere I was going. You guys I was feeling so unwell, literally thinking « what if they don’t call me back? ». During the evening I went to another concert for work. God, it was amazing but I barely was listening. Try to picture it: a pianist and a cellist inspired by God playing Debussy and me in the background, phone in hands, stress at its highest level. At one point, my phone lights up: IT’S THEM! And dumbass Camille freaks out so much she declines the call. I swear I thought they would be sooo done with me at this moment, I was hating myself so much for being so clumsy. Thirty minutes later though, they called me back again and my Leaving-A-Fancy-Concert-Event-Thing-With-High-Heels number occurred once again. « Hello? Hi? Are you here ? » — it was the same person who called me the day before. A woman sounding very American. She asked me if she was talking to Camille, told me it was Taylor Nation and that they’d learned I was going to the show on Saturday and that they had a special opportunity for me. She asked me for my info and told me I’ll have to pick up something for me at the box office on the day of the show between 4 and 5, and that they’ll confirm it to me. I was so excited. I had read similar stories before and was almost sure of what it meant: I was going to meet Taylor Swift.

On Thursday I left for London. I there joined my baby Morgen in a hotel in the very lost south of the city, and we had the time of our lives. Friday was even more incredible. We made it to the stadium and there I met my best internet friends. Holly, Jenny, Bessie, Katy, Clément, Aurélie, Marion, Clémence, Ghada, Maya, this is for you. I’m so so so so excited I got to meet you guys!!! We had the best time. Once we entered the stadium, I got so emotional — after nine years, I was finally going to see the person who had inspired me so much for all these years. When she went up onstage I…. lost it. I was crying so much and I had the best time. The concert was obviously fabulous and something incredible happened: Morgen and I were right next to the barriers between the two B-Stages and throughout the night Charli XCX winked at us and touched my hand, then Camila did…. then… Taylor did. There she was, looking like a doll so close to me, grabbing my hand. I couldn’t think straight and came back home absolutely enchanted.

I wake up and it’s Saturday. I go on Tumblr and see Taylor Nation sent me a DM to tell I was confirmed. OH GOD I WAS SO EXCITED. Yet somehow, still couldn’t believe it…. I had so much to do on that day but started it off by making sure I would look my best for the moment I had been waiting for for years. When we were finally ready, we left for the train… but there was no train. Panic attack. I had to be at the stadium in two hours, was currently in the lost countryside of London and there was no train taking us to the stadium, to Taylor. After checking on the internet we found another way to get there but thank god Morgen stayed calm cause I felt so panicked and anxious and kept on saying « I can’t miss it I can’t miss the opportunity». Long story short, we made it there early (and we even had the time to stop at the Waterloo station for me to put on a bit of perfume).

4pm came faster than I thought it would. I started walking nervously to the box office and that’s where I first saw @thefirstdayswift and @9tay8tay9 and @ifoundtaylor13 and @imsoproudoftaylor . YOU GIRLS!!! I then walked up to the counter and told the person behind it I have to pick up something at my name. « On which guest list are you? ». Dude. I HAVE NO IDEA. He then handed me an envelope with my name on it and the following: « Meet & Greet ». It was getting so real I started to be really emotional. I then proceeded to open the letter (you can watch the video here) and my friends came and gave me the biggest hugs, we were all there sobbing and jumping around of excitement. It was 4 and we had to be at the section 144 at 5:45. LET ME TELL YOU IT WAS THE LONGEST WAIT EVER. We bought merch and ate our dinner and Morgen finished our outfits and then it was time. IT WAS TIME SHGDLFJGNSKLJN. I was so excited yet so stressed out. I asked a security guy how I could access the section 144 though I had tickets for the block 551 and he told me not to worry, that I just had to go to my gate and then once I was in, walk around the stadium… Oh how I wish it was that easy. Once we entered the gate we had to take an escalator that directly led us to our block. Realizing that I couldn’t access the section where we had to meet Taylor Nation, I walked up to another security guy and told him everything and let me tell you he was my lifesaver and I wouldn’t have made it without him. He looked at me dead in the eye and said « follow me, okay? ». Morgen looked at me and said « oh my god, it’s time already??? Have the best time and DO NOT FREEZE LIKE I DID » and he hugged me so tight. Then the security agent walked me around the stadium, asking all of his colleagues along the way and guys literally no one working there had any idea of what was up with our blue papers. He was so sweet and reassuring telling me we still had time and asked me how I was feeling and we took secret lifts and passed the security and to anyone asking him what was up he said « she’s got a meet and greet and she’s with me ». At this point I realized I had found my guardian angel and I’m so bummed I didn’t ask for his name but shoutout to you superman cause you saved my life.

At 5:45, we arrived at the section 144 and I saw other girls with the blue paper. My Superhero made sure I was at the right place then wished me lots of fun. I started talking with everyone and that’s when I got to have a proper talk with Helena and let me tell you she’s the sweetest bean! Her mom was with us and was very friendly. They then opened the doors of the stadium and we found ourselves out right next to other blocks and bleachers (we could see the stage). We were asked to walk down the stairs. There were lots of Swifties on the other side of the barriers cheering us on and it was the sweetest thing ever! Once we were downstairs there was this massive entrance and we waited there for about 15 minutes. I got to talk with the twins Pauline and Florine as well while waiting and I started feeling very, very good. Just… very good. This guy from Taylor Nation came up to us and checked our names and gave us the renowned « Reputation Meet & Greet » wristband. I said remember this moment in the back of my mind. A few minutes later and we’re taken inside of the stadium, backstage. We walk into a big lounge with lots of food and couches and there is Scott Swift on our left, greeting us. It was weird seeing him in real life but I enthusiastically said « HI SCOTT! » and he was like « hey girls how are you doing! ». He seemed so happy to be there. From the lounge we could see the Rep Room and we freaked out. We were taken right in front of it and were asked to leave our things on a table and to enter the Rep Room. I’ll never forget this moment cause I held the twins and Helena and we walked in there hugging. The Rep Room was gorgeous, way more beautiful than in pictures. There was music playing, a TV with the Delicate music video on it, drinks on the left and cooked and baked food in the back with the throne. They told us to form a queue and the M&G almost immediately started.

Florine, Pauline and I looked at each other and said « Wait. We’re in the Rep Room and we don’t have the right to walk around it? FUCK IT. ». We walked to the cocktail bar and there were several drinks we could choose from, each being indicated with a Taylor Swift lyric sign. That’s when I saw the « I knew it from the first OLD-FASHIONED we were cursed ». Should I drink alcohol right before meeting Taylor Swift? HELL YEAH. So there we were, drinking an old-fashioned in the rep room and it was so iconic. Then the woman in the back of the room close to the M&G asked us to get in line so we just left our drinks and went back in the queue. That’s when GODDESS TREE PAINE stops at the entrance of the Rep Room and greets us. Most people didn’t see her but I got to talk to her with a few friends and we mentioned the Proud Signs Project we had organized the night before. She said she saw it come to life and it was beautiful and she was being very friendly and she waved back at me when she left.

I started focusing on the moment. The twins looked at me and said «Camille, SHE IS THERE. » I paid attention and suddenly heard TAYLOR FRICKING SWIFT LAUGHING AND TALKING AND I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT WAS ACTUALLY HAPPENING?????? I was the third last person and the twins were right before me. As the line got smaller and smaller I noticed the food and went through the same mental process of should I eat right before meeting Taylor Swift but there was a cookie and honestly isn’t it goals to eat a cookie in the rep room so I quickly left the line to get one and ate it. But then I realized that the twins were next and then it was my turn… so I just left a half-eaten cookie on the furniture, sorry @taylorswift  and @taylornation for the inconvenience, it was delicious do not worry.

As the girls went into the room to meet Taylor, I was alone with Ghada and Morgan right behind me. I focused and told myself one last time what I wanted to tell Taylor (had also written them on my wrist just in case). It was happening. It was my moment and it was happening. The woman with the list (who I believe was Erika) asked me for my name and gave me the little card with which I could have access to my photo with Taylor. I could see Taylor. She was wearing this black t-shirt and had this kaki jacket wrapped around her waist (that turned out to be a fake-shirt skirt thanks @taylorswiftstyle ) and she had those killer heels high knee velvet black boots. Her hair was so pretty and she was telling the twins about how she had seen their tour post six months ago.

Then fate happened. I swear it did. One of my favorite songs of all time, Want You Back by Haim, started playing. I just love it so much!! I started dancing. Then the woman told me « okay it’s your turn » and I walk inside the room while dancing and I say « oh helloooothereeee »…

« Oh hi there buddy! » — a magical fairy princess walks up to me in all haste and hugs me. I’m in Taylor Swift’s arms and decide to introduce myself cause I wasn’t sure if she recognized me or not so while my head is in her hair I softly say « Hey, I’m Cee, seleniftie ». The magical fairy princess steps back and looks at me and her face lits up and I don’t know how I survived cause it was genuine but she looks at me deep in the eyes and shouts « OH MY GOD I LOVE YOUR BLOG SO MUCH YOU’RE SO AMAZING ». I look at her and say thank you I can’t believe you know my blog and she tells me how I’m always so positive and sweet which I reply to by saying that I try my best to send off positive vibes and she was like « that’s so nice, like honestly your posts always make me feel better ». You know how serious Taylor can get when she makes a speech or says something she genuinely means? That’s how she sounded and looked like. The room was silent but I couldn’t hear the music anymore, and still now I can clearly hear her say those words to me. But I played it cool, I have no idea how. So I then tell her how it’s been 3 years already since she followed me and I thank her for liking all those posts and she’s like « oh thank you! » and I tell her it’s so nice to meet her. I also thank her for wanting to meet me and she goes off like « oh I saw your post months ago and sent it my team as soon as possible, and like especially with the London shows I knew it would be hectic (that word really struck me) so I wanted to make sure I’d meet you » and in my mind a monkey jumps from tree to tree while playing cymbals but at this moment, I swear to you guys, I was being myself 100% and had no stress or whatsoever. Our conversation was so natural and she looked genuinely happy to see me. She then looks at me and says « oh my god you’re SO beautiful » which I reply to by saying « thanks you too! » and there I saw The Necklace™, it was really standing out since she was wearing this black t shirt so I just point at it and touch it and say « and look at that! oooooh » while doing the shimmy shoulders and she laughed and did the shimmy shoulders too and I was just out there backstage at the Wembley Stadium doing shimmy shoulders with Taylor Swift over the necklace that inspired my favorite song of hers like it’s a thing that happened.

We were just looking at each other so happily and there was this 0,2 seconds long blank and I suddenly reconnected to reality and heard Want You Back was still playing. I know she loves it a lot too and she liked my post about seeing HAIM two weeks ago so I start talking about them but she starts talking at the same time saying « so/do you… » and I was so unsettled cause TAYLOR SWIFT WAS TALKING TO ME that I mumbled something that apparently made no sense cause she looked at me all focused and serious and said « HUH? ». So there I go again telling « I love the music playing in the background, it’s Haim I love them » and she’s like « OH YEAHHH they’re amazing » and I tell her how I saw them in concert and she’s like « oh yeah you saw them in London? » and I said « no I saw them in Berlin » and it’s hitting me now that she actually remembered my post cause HAIM was playing in London a week before and I saw them two weeks before so she wasn’t exactly sure of the timeline but she remembered okay bye 

(Also did I mention all this time she was looking at me in the eyes ??? we’re both very animatic people so I remember me doing gestures and her moving around and just feeling very at ease but she did! not! break! the! eye! contact! ever!) (and I have no actual memory of this but when I went out of the rep room I recorded my story on my phone and apparently she told me « you’re such a sweet person, you’re so nice » right after we talked about HAIM what what what)

This small talk helped me recollect my thoughts and I remembered my time was limited so I tell her « okay there’s one thing I really want you to know », and I tell her that I play music and I make covers and her face lits up again and she steps back and shouts « OMIGOD I DID NOT KNOW THAT OMIGOD » and I tell her how I’ve done a cover of Babe (reaction to that: « OHHHH THAT’S AMAZING OH MY GOD ») and pretty much all her songs and how they’re on my Tumblr and she can check them out and she told me « OMIGOD that’s so cool I need to check them out ».

Right after Taylor looked at me and walked up to me again and said « so hey, should we take a picture » so she pulls me closer and turns to me and opens her arms and i’m like fuckfuckfuck and look on my left and see all the people in there I didn’t even notice and we hug really tight and pose. We were hugging so tight I literally forgot to smile with my teeth so 2 seconds before they take the picture I open my mouth and that’s why i was so scared of the picture being awkward, but it turned out to be lovely.

The moment we released our embrace I saw a man coming out of the exit of the room with the signed papers and I knew what it meant (your time is over bitch) but I wanted to talk to her about something else so I immediately started talking only to realize that she was making sure with the photographer that the photo was good and she didn’t blink eyes or anything so I quickly said sorry and yeah I always have to check too cause it happens all the time. She nodded and was turning her back to the autograph-guy (let’s call him like that) and I was like you go girl it’s your moment so I tell her about the PROUD signs project that took place the night before and that I helped to organize and I was telling her how amazing it was and how I was running around with my friends giving the pieces of paper to people asking them to raise the sign during the song and she thanked me and told me that it was amazing and explained to me that she’s hardly surprised by things but that our project got her « really really surprised » and she wasn’t expecting it.

I then told her it was so nice to finally meet her and she told me the same and I have no idea of whether we hugged or not cause it was all a blur, the autograph-guy was handing me the paper being like « thanks for coming goodbye » but I remember us saying goodbye and Taylor quickly telling me « I will definitely check out your covers » and I left. They told me to follow someone and I walked back through the lounge and made my way outside and I saw the twins and we hugged so tight. We couldn’t believe it. Then my security guy superhero was waiting for me and you guys he literally walked me back to my section #ANGEL and I thanked him. I then walked up the stairs to Morgen and it was the longest walk ever. I was in shock. I was hardly breathing and it took me forever to get up there, I was holding my autograph and my things so tightly and when Morgen saw me he knew. I could see how proud he was. This random lady asked me if I was okay and I told her I’d just met Taylor and she was very confused and then I told Morgen everything and told you guys… and that’s the story of how I met Taylor Swift. The show was amazing, and at some point she talked about how she had met people at the London shows that were coming from different countries and it made me feel so happy and included. She knows that especially with the UK shows many of us were traveling from far away and she’s so appreciative of it.

Once we came back home I logged on the website with Morgen and Holly on the phone and my picture got uploaded so slowly it was torture, but the moment I saw our faces touching I lost it and started sobbing so slowly… It was 1AM so 2AM in France but I called my parents and they were so happy and excited for me, I really didn’t expect them to be that supportive but I think they were really happy for me and excited that my biggest dreams had come true. I couldn’t sleep and I went to bed at 4am, and Morgen woke up at 5:30am cause he had to take his bus. We hugged in a rush and when I woke up a few hours later I was alone with my memories. I cried a lot that day but seeing my friend Holly helped a lot.

I can’t believe I’m writing this story, and it’s almost done but it wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t mention you who’s reading this. Thank you. When I created my Tumblr account three years ago, I would have never expected to bond with so many people, make so many friendships and be part of such a beautiful community. Many of my friends told me that when I posted I had met Taylor their dashboard was filled with posts being like « CEE MET TAYLOR » and I obviously wasn’t there to see it but one thing I know is that my notifications were blown up and it made the moment even more magical.

To Taylor -- now I’ve told you that in person but thank you for wanting to meet me and thank you for being such a lovely person. Meeting you felt like meeting a friend and I feel like we clicked cause we are the same person on many levels. Thank you for giving so much of your time to your fans and to me - when I heard Love Story in my pink bedroom at 12 I would have never imagined that a few years later the princess in the castle would want to meet me.

I started writing this story on the plane but now I’m home on my bed. I went back to my normal life, to my internship, to my German capital but I’ll always look back on that weekend, that bubble of happiness with a heart full of love. Because in this moment, everything I had ever wanted...had just happened. ❤️

       For someone whose job description was literally ‘Goddess of Love’, finding love was hard. 24 hours, 7 days a week you've helped others find love. You've helped countless girls confess their love before handing them off to Ares when they would get rejected. You've blessed as many couples as you could a day. You aided and led Cupid in sending thousands of arrows flying, creating a shield of gold and pink in the sky on Valentines day. Yet, you can’t find someone who would love you like you love them.

        Countless gods would find their way to you, Aphrodite, asking for help. Countless gods were outside the gold gates, waiting to be blessed by you. At this point, you felt less like a goddess and more like a relationship therapist. All some of these people needed were to talk to each other instead of expecting you to wave all their issues away.

        You needed a break. You needed to get away from all the work you loaded onto yourself this past month. You stopped Cupid from opening the gate to let the next person in and told him to come towards you.

“Chenle?” You called his name out. He knew by the tone of your voice that you weren’t going to say something good.

“Yes?” He answered as he nervously clicked the pen he had in his hand.

“Cancel everything.”

“Are you sure?” He started to panic. There would be a setback of around a hundred gods if he canceled everything for day. He set aside his mental breakdown before looking up at you. Your skin had been drained of its radiance. The patches under your eyes looked bruised and you were massaging your temples. Chenle sighed, you were too good of a goddess. You worked past the regular hours to make people happy. You definitely deserve a break.

“Very.” You could already imagine Zeus blowing up another fountain in anger when he finds out you broke away from your job. Chenle nodded and walked outside the gates. You heard his soft voice tell everyone the bad news. Not even half a second later, there were shouts of anger. You smiled softly when he came back into the room.

“You have the day off, go visit Jisung.” A smile played widely on his lips. He ran over to give you a quick kiss on the cheek before thanking you.

“Tell him I say hi!” You scream out to him as he ran out of the room. You smiled at his eagerness to visit his close friend. That smile fell with the growing of angry yelling outside your door. You rolled your eyes and let the sound drown out as you walked to the lobby.

        You took the ride down to the mortal realm. Your flowy white toga turning into an outfit you didn’t pay much detail too. All you know is that you felt your sandals turn into a pair of dusty pink heels and that a white bag came into your clutch while your enchanted clipboard turned into a phone that started ringing and vibrating right away. Gods were messaging you, needing your aid. You sighed at the screen before turning the phone on silent as you shoved it into the bag and waited for the ride to end. 

        Once the ride ended, you found yourself in the lobby of a hotel. One of Zeus’ multiple affairs owned it and agreed to make one of the exits to Olympus inside of it. You mentally thanked Zeus for the one thing he did right. Your favorite café was no more than a few steps away from the hotel. You gently smiled at the doorman when he opened the door for you, you could hear his heart skip a beat. A perk of being Aphrodite.

        The sun greeted you with its warmth and the winds brushed against your face as you waited for the streetlight to turn red when you stood at the crossroad. As a crowd surrounded you, you heard whispers from the boys behind you. Nasty comments came out of their mouths, disgusting enough to make you want to put a curse on them. You sighed, this is why romance is dead. You tried your best to avoid it. You walked across the street once the light turned. A few more steps and you stood in front of your favorite mortal place in the world. It was a small café in Seoul. 

        The original owners that had passed away years ago were your favorite couple. They often left offerings for you and prayed for your well-being in their nightly prayers. You were just a Greek Goddess but it felt nice to be cared for. It broke your heart when they passed. You went to their wake and left flowers every year on their anniversary. They no longer had family who remembered them, at least you did. Your heart ached when you no longer saw flowers waiting for them or things being burned for them. You remember the ring that the husband gave to the wife. It was a simple silver band. They didn't need a lot to be happy and that made you want to continue our job. You remembered how her face lit up, how happily she cried and how the two of them thanked you for blessing them for love. You couldn’t thank them back as you watched them through the mirror that hung in your office but you cried along with them that day.

        Your mind wanders back to the ring. It's been missing for such a long time that you gave up trying to find it and returning it to the wife. You shook the sad thoughts away and thought about happier things. There was a seat in the back of the café by a window. That window was where the wife announced she was having her first child to her husband, that child would announce that she was giving her parents grandchildren and so on for a few more generations. A smile appeared on your lips as you pushed the doors of the café.

        The scent of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods filled your senses. The bells rang gently as you pushed the doors. The light wood floor boards complimented the white walls. Orb plants hung from the ceiling and potted plants lined the big windows that scattered around the café. There was natural sunlight everywhere. It would have made Demeter happy for sure. You saw friends sitting, couples talking, family enjoying time with each other.

        You walked towards the front counter. There was a line but you didn't mind, this gave you time to let your eyes travel around the blackboard menu that was hung up. Step by step, you found yourself at the counter and still didn’t know what to order. You were about to let the person behind you order first but a figure ran behind the employee that was waiting on your order. That’s when you spotted him behind the white marble counter of the café. His beret was pinned to his head. It made sense. He was moving quicker than Hermes could deliver. There was a plethora of order tickets sticking out from his dark brown apron. His hands worked fast on the espresso machine, his sparkling eyes scanning for any flaws in his plating before calling a name out. The employee noticed your eyes moving towards the person behind him.

"That's Renjun. He's new and has,” he held his hands up and wiggled his fingers, “magic hands, everyone asks for their drinks to be made by him,” he said as he looked behind him to see Renjun running back and forth. 

"He seems hardworking," you tore your eyes away to look up to the menu again, "I'll take whatever he recommends, a medium."

The employee nodded and picked up a cup. He held a pen to a notepad and looked up, "name?"

You paused before answering, "Eden, I'll be sitting by the window back there if that's alright.”

He nodded as he focused on writing your order down. You took a look at his name tag on his brown apron, “thank you, Mark,” you heard his heart skipped.

You started to walk away but the heavy scent of chocolate made you stop and crave for something similar,"oh, can you throw in a chocolate croissant for me?" "Of course!" You smiled toward Mark as you started to walk towards the seat. Regrettably, a couple got there first. You stopped in your spot and looked around, there was a seat by the door. You made your way there, your pale pink heels clicked against the wood as you pulled out the chair and put your bag in the table. It was a table with beautiful metal legs and a piece of round glass on top. You were able to watch the world from the window that was a table away from you. You let the sun soak into your skin. You let out a breath and bathed in the warmth for as long as you could.

        Unfortunately, it didn’t last long. Your phone started to ring louder and louder. Customers around you started to stare. You rolled your eyes before taking the phone out  of the bag and picking it up.

“What,” you said sternly. You weren’t in the mood to talk to Zeus right now because he wasn’t going to be in a good mood.

“Don’t ‘what’ me. You left your station,” he growled into the phone. You could hear people complaining behind him.

“Listen, Jaemin, I need a break. You’re going to let me off the hook before I tell Jeno about your affairs,” you said lowly into the phone. You knew better than to threaten Zeus but you couldn’t help it. Especially when you needed a break from working. You knew how whipped Jaemin was for Jeno but he couldn’t help his nature.

“You wouldn’t tell Hera, he would wreak havoc.” You’ve seen Jeno when he was upset, you were the first person he went to and luckily the last because you were able to convince him to not end a thousand and one marriages. 

“Maybe I would. Let me go, have someone else deal with it.” Your lips raised into the sly smile.

“I hate you.”

“Love you!” You happily ended the call before he could say anything else but he started to spam your text messages. You sighed, read through them and finally replied once he was finished.

        Back behind the counter, your order was luckily the last drink Renjun had to make before going on his 15 minute break. He placed your rose milk tea latte on a saucer that matched the white cup it was in. The light brown drink carried the aroma of roses and had a very slight pink tint to it. Carefully, he carried the saucer to the wooden serving tray and walked towards the display after to use a pair of tongs to pick out a chocolate croissant for the order. Renjun set it on a white dish and carried that to the serving tray also. Once everything was on the tray, he was about to call the order. He took a look at your name, Eden. Was it possible to fall in love with a name? Because Renjun just did. He picked a rose from the bouquet that would compliment the pink tint in the drink and placed it on the serving tray. Renjun was about to call out your name until his co-worker stopped him.

“Oh, Renjun. She said she was sitting by the window in the back,” Mark said. Renjun nodded and started to make his way towards the back.

        Renjun carried the tray to the back. As he got closer, he saw a couple sitting, a little disappointed that there was someone accompanying you. The romanticist inside of him cried a bit but to his surprise, he went to the wrong table. There wasn't an Eden there. Renjun walked back to the counter and asked Mark was sure about where you were sitting. He nodded but looked over to see you not by the window. Mark scanned the floor until he found you sitting by the door, lost in a trance on your phone. “She's right there,” Mark nodded his head towards the door. Renjun saw your figure, lost in the sunshine that poured in. Your fingers were rapidly moving, trying to respond to Jaemin. His heart got caught in his throat.

Mark hit Renjun’s back, causing him to jolt forward and then glare at him,“I could have dropped the order.”

“You were about to anyway, just go. I can see the hearts in your eyes already.” Renjun rolled his eyes and took a deep breath before starting to walk to you.

        A waft of chocolate made you release any tension in your shoulders. You sighed as you send your text to Jaemin. In that second, you got a text from Chenle, a photo of him and Jisung. You were about to send him a text back but Jaemin started spamming your phone again. “Eden?” A voice cut your stressed thoughts. Renjun had caught a sight of your texts before you quickly turned off the phone, placed it screen down then he looked into your eyes. He felt his heart skip a beat. You could hear his heart from your distance, you gently smiled up at him.

“Yeah, that's me.” Renjun placed the serving tray down and stood there. He didn’t want to leave just yet.

“Thank you for bringing me my order,” you said as you took the cup to your lips and sighed happily. The warm mildly sweet liquid danced around your tongue. 

“It’s delicious,” you paused to glance at the gold tag on his apron as if you didn’t already know his name, “Renjun.”

He swore to the gods that he just fell in love with a total stranger. Renjun picked up the rose that he left on the wooden tray and held it to you, “pleasure is all mine, Eden.”

It wasn't even your real name but it sounded so lovely coming out of him. Like the harps playing a melody so sweet. When he bend down to give you the flower, the chain he had around his neck fell out of his sweater, there was a simple band hanging from it, it was the ring you’ve been looking for. A call of your name knocked you out of your focus from it.

“Please, come again.” You took the rose from his hand, your fingers lightly brushing against each other.

“Of course,” you smiled back at him. His name being called shocked him and he apologized before running back behind the counter. You sipped at the drink that tasted sweeter than before.

Ficlet Prompt Friday - Popcorn - mReyder

Reyes and SAM plot with a little help from someone who’s done this before.

Warnings: post-Meridian

Reyes didn’t think it would be this hard. He was used to being able to source pretty much any and everything. It was Kadara Port after all, everything could be bought for a price.  

Anything except this one thing.

All his sources, all his contacts came up with nothing. It was mystifying. If he could get a cat, why were dogs so hard to find? He still remembered Scott talking about the dog he had back on Earth, the one he had to rehome before journeying to Andromeda.

He knew the Tempest had just docked, it was hard to miss that distinctive black, white and red ship. Scott had been gracious enough to give him a connection to SAM. How he swung that, Reyes didn’t know, but he accepted it and kept his mouth shut about it. But it was certainly useful now. If he knew Scott, he had about thirty minutes before he came to Tartarus.

“SAM, if I could ask you something?”

“Of course Mr Vidal?” SAM’s measured tone was crystal clear.

“How are dogs impossible to find?”

“The canid DNA banks are still in cryo storage.”

“Cats aren’t.”

“The felidae DNA banks were illegally accessed by a tech and felis silvestris catus were propagated before the action was caught.”

Reyes had no doubt someone caught a ton of shit for that. But it did tell him that if someone had done it once, another person could do it again. And given how things had settled down a bit after that madcap battle with the Archon on Meridian…

“How would one go about getting a dog then?”

“Species propagation paperwork should be filed with the DNA bank director as well as Directors Tann and Addison to ensure that proper care is taken with the introduction with a new species to the Heleus cluster.”

“SAM, that is not what I wanted to hear. What I want to know is what it would take to get a dog for Scott.”

“The Pathfinder’s clearance would expedite the process. Shall I—”

“No,” Reyes wanted to shake his head. “I don’t want the Pathfinder to know. Surely there are other avenues to pursue to see this done.”

There was a prolonged silence from SAM and then, “As the Pathfinder is outside your door, this is a conversation we shall continue at a later time Mr Vidal.”

“Wait—”

That was all Reyes got out before the door slid open and Scott stalked in. He flopped down on the seat and snatched up Reyes’ glass of whiskey to drain it in one gulp. Then he filled it up again and sagged back into the seat.

“One of these days, I’m gonna shoot Tann. Do know what he actually said to Morda’s face? I don’t like her, but I damn near let her fight him.”

Even Reyes had to admit, when Scott told him, his eyebrows rose. Tann was definitely an idiot and if he could pull this off somehow. If anything, he would go to the Nexus himself to give Scott the dog in front of Tann.

The first part was easy, he didn’t really need a particular breed of dog. Scott had said he adopted his dog from the pound and it was as much a mutt as a mutt could be. SAM was suspiciously quiet until one day, in the middle of a firefight with Roekaar, SAM piped up.

“Are you busy at the moment, Mr Vidal?”

“A bit,” he returned fire, catching a sharpshooter that was trying to reach the high ground. “What is it?”

“Connecting you to Sidera Nyx. One moment.”

What the hell, was this SAM’s idea of a joke? Seriously, this fight was nowhere close to wrapping up and—

“Hello?” a flanging turian voice came on. A young sounding one. “I was told you’re looking to get a dog and— Is that gunfire?”

“Yes, SAM has terrible timing,” Reyes grunted as he lobbed a grenade and ducked back behind cover. “But I am indeed looking for a dog.”

“Hm, I can’t do it. I got into so much trouble with the cats and…” Sidera paused as the grenade went off with a loud boom and yells and screams following after the split-second of silence. “But I can put you in touch with someone in the DNA bank. Who exactly is this?”

“SAM can get me in touch with the person— One moment.” Reyes dashed to new cover, firing bullets at a Roekaar attempting to set up a turret. The invasion program he fired at it worked quick and the turret identified the enemies and opened fire. “SAM can contact me when the person wants to talk.”

“Oh no no no,” Reyes could practically see Sidera shake her head. “That’s not how this goes. No name, no contact. Take it or leave it.”

Of course it was. “Reyes Vidal, a pleasure to talk to you Miss Nyx. Are you perhaps related to Vetra?”

“She’s my sister!” Sidera sounded delighted now. “And I know all about you Mr Vidal. No worries, I’ll see about that contact for you, if this is for who I think it is,” there was a moment of swearing from Sidera and then, “Gotta go!” before the line cut out.

At least now Reyes could focus his attention on the fight. Once the last Roekaar was dead, and they were sweeping through the bodies and base for info, Reyes managed to slip away to a quiet spot. However, SAM did beat him to the punch.

“I apologize for the hasty connection Mr Vidal. She was quite insistent on speaking the person wishing to procure a dog.”

“It couldn’t have been at any other time?”

“No. I was only able to secure the connection for that small window. Her activities are monitored ever since the ‘feline episode’.”

Reyes barely smothered a snicker at the delicate tone SAM used. “Understandable then. Are there any other problems you foresee?”

“Only one. While species propagation and the DNA banks fall under the purview of Tann, Addison and the DNA bank director, the recently formed Andromeda Council takes great interest in what is revived from the DNA bank. We may have to field a representative with questions.”

“Direct them to me and I’ll handle it.” Reyes said. “Pretty sure we can pull this off.”

In all honesty, Reyes expected to be dealing with Tann or Addison when the call came through. SAM sounded very urgent when he finally called Reyes.

“I have the krogan Council member insisting on speaking to Pathfinder Ryder about the revival of canids from the DNA bank,” SAM paused for a moment. “They are not pleased.”

Thank god Reyes was at home when this came through. And at least SAM gave him some warning this time. But damn, Sidera worked fast. She hadn’t even gotten in a return call.

“All right, put her through SAM.”

“Acknowledged. Ryder and Morda have an acrimonous and tense relationship. I will be masking your speech with the Pathfinder’s. Please endeavour to approximate Ryder’s speech patterns as best as possible. Connecting you now.”

It was just a few moments and then, “What the hell are you playing at Ryder, wasting resources on pets?”

“It’s called diversification of resources,” Reyes snapped. “Did we plan for cats? No, but they’re helping with morale where they are and some people are training them to hunt small game. Dogs can be used in the same capacity and to assist in hunting as well as guarding. Be glad it was dogs I approved because geese are far worse. Now I’ve put in the approval, so quit wasting my time when I have better things to do.”

“Pathfinder Ryder,” Morda sounded like she was in full bluster.

“It’s approved and I’m done here.”

Reyes disconnected the call as he heard an angry growl. After a moment, he sighed and rubbed at his forehead. “How much worse did I just make things for Scott?”

“Scott usually is sarcastic with Morda unless he has reached a point that he refers to as ‘done’. Given their recent interactions, Scott is officially on the verge of ‘done’. Morda should suspect nothing.” There was a moment of silence and then, “Sidera Nyx is requesting an immediate call.”

“Patch her through.” Reyes waited until he heard the soft beep of a connection. “I understand you wanted to talk to me?”

“Man, you work fast. My contact in the DNA bank wants to know what kind of dog you want. She wants to get it started and some out before they try to shut her down.”

“Give me a mutt.” Reyes said.

“I know, but what kind?” Sidera asked again.

Nothing like a translator to take some things literally. “Just a mixed breed dog. When you look at the dog, you can’t quite tell exactly what breed. You can guess some, but don’t really know.”

“Okay,” Sidera sounded hesitant. “Can you arrange to smuggle it off the Nexus?”

“I shall do you one better: I’ll be there in person to pick it up.”

“Oh,” Sidera said with a knowing thrum in her voice. “All right then. I gotta go now. I can hear Morda stomping into Tann’s office, so gonna get this going. Call you later, bye!”

“Kids.” Reyes chuckles as the line went dead. “SAM, if they get this started today, how soon until we have dogs?”

“Approximately two weeks. Once the process is started, it’s inadvisable to halt it. While yours is first in the queue, I do see some requests for dogs now too.”

“How many exactly?”

“418 and increasing.”

Reyes couldn’t help but smile. That wasn’t precisely a number to shrug at. And if they tried to cancel it, it would be like the cats all over again.

“SAM, is there perhaps an urgent reason for the Tempest to come to Kadara?”

“You have given me numerous reports of increased Roekaar presence and there have been rumours of kett presence. I shall bring it to the Pathfinder’s attention.”

“Since you mention it,” Reyes pulled up his omni-tool. “I just sent you some copies of reports I wrote up on the last few Collective missions I ran where we encountered Roekaar. Does help to have something backing you up. Embroider where you need to.”

“Acknowledged. Can I assist you with anything else today, Mr Vidal?”

Reyes laughed. “I think I should be asking you that. But no. And thank you SAM.”

“You are welcome, Mr Vidal.”

“You can call me Reyes, you know.”

“I know Mr Vidal.”

That was the last thing SAM said and Reyes felt fairly sure the AI was pulling his leg.

Scott was really damned confused now. They’d spent the past two weeks on Kadara weeding our Roekaar hideouts. They were winning points in Evfra and Keema’s books, which was never a bad thing. But he’d had some words with Morda before coming to Kadara that left him more puzzled and pissed because what the hell was she going on about him lording it up and making such massive and arbitrary decisions.

Once they were done, Reyes announced he’d come back with him to the Nexus. That alone left Scott wondering because Reyes had also once said he’d be damned if he set foot on Tann’s little kingdom again.

All Reyes had done was shrug and say, “There’s a Council now, right? So they’ll bicker about what to do with me and I’ll be gone by the time they decide.”

Then he’d smiled and winked as he strolled onto the Tempest and Scott felt like he really missed something massive. Not that Reyes said a damn thing about whatever it was.

“I feel you,” Vetra had commiserated with him one night in the galley over dinner. “Sid’s up to something but damned if I can figure out what. I just hope it doesn’t involved another trap.”

“Hell, I’d take a trap. I have no idea what Reyes is up to.”

Setting foot on the Nexus… he was desperately confused. Everyone was so damned nice, high fives, grins and waves and shouts of ‘Thank you!’ He had zero damn idea what he supposedly did. Reyes seemed entirely unruffled by it all and Scott finally narrowed his eyes in suspicion as they walked along.

“This have anything to do with you?”

“Me? I’ve been with you on Kadara this entire time.”

“That doesn’t sound like a denial.” Scott pointed out.

“I think we should get to your apartment.” Reyes just smiled and kept on walking.

“What did you do?” Scott hurried after him. “Reyes!”

All Reyes did was turn and wink at him, a wide smile on his face. Scott followed after him, the door to his apartment on the Nexus closing silently behind them. There was Sidera half vanished behind his couch, talking to something.

“C’mon you little cutie, they’ll be here any moment.”

“Or they already are.” Reyes chuckled.

Sidera yelped, jumping up and knocking the couch out, something furry and wriggling in her arms. Scott looked around, eyes settling on a carrier and his heart leapt into his throat.

“Reyes,” he asked weakly. “What kind of cat did you get me?”

“It’s better than a cat.” Reyes’ smile softened as he tilted his head to Sidera.

Scott looked over as she came over and he could see floppy ears, paws everywhere and a tail wagging a mile of minute. Sidera was laughing as she was vigourously sniffed and then she deposited the wriggling bundle in his arms.

“You’re welcome Pathfinder.”

Scott could barely see through his now blurry vision. He blinked, seeing golden fur splotched with black with clear blue eyes looking up at him. Then big paws were scrabbling at him as his face was licked.

“You got me a puppy?!” he managed to ask, holding the animal tighter.

“First one in Andromeda.” Sidera grinned as she headed for the door. “I’ll just go now and can one of you please tell Vetra that it was a good thing I did.”

All Scott could do was nod as he held the excited puppy in his arms and looked at Reyes. Once the door was shut, he was walking over.

“You are impossible, you know that,” Scott hauled him in for a teary kiss. “How the hell did you pull this off? Is this why everyone suddenly loves me again, because you somehow got us dogs?”

Reyes shrugged, suddenly looking sheepish. “I wanted to get you a dog. Everyone else is a happy byproduct. I’m very much willing to be the unsung hero here.”

“Is this why Morda was so pissy with me?”

“I had words with her.”

“You’re my damn hero,” Scott kissed him again only to have the puppy break it up. “We have to name him.”

“That’s entirely your honour.”

“Popcorn II,” Scott didn’t even have to think about it. “In honour of the long passed Popcorn, back on Earth.”

“The first dog ever in Andromeda is named Popcorn.” Reyes looked like he was trying to not laugh. “I do like the lack of gravitas.”

“And you got everything for him too!” Scott could see a dog bed, a leash and feeding bowls. He set down Popcorn to let him run about.

“Mr Vidal wanted you to have as little to worry about as possible initially.” SAM’s smooth voice interrupted.

“SAM’s lying, that’s all them. I worried more about the logistics of getting the dog.” Reyes stepped in close, wiping the tears away on Scott’s cheeks. “Please tell me you don’t want a horse. I have no idea where to even put one.”

Scott sputtered with laughter. “No horses. Popcorn is more than enough. We’re in another galaxy and you got me a dog. Never let anyone tell you that you’re not incredible.”

Now Reyes was quiet, a blush coming to his face. “Anything you want, Scott.”

“This. It’s more than enough,” Scott took his hand, giving it a quick squeeze. “C’mon, let’s take Popcorn for his first walk.”

okay. well today was fine. better than yesterday I guess, some mental stress over....things starting to dissipate a bit thankfully. alarm went off at 7 and I got up, got ready and was out the door all on time. I get down to the courthouse at like 8:40, perfect timing to meet up for the 9:00 call. and like, actual lawyers have the IDs that let them go around security but I still have to go through security so I was like oh well I should just go through early then and meet them there. So I did, and then I went up to the 22nd floor to wait for the lawyer. this is guy lawyer I was at the deposition with last week, I like him, he’s fun, definitely a bit intense but not in a bad way. Anyway, I’m waiting on the 22nd floor and it’s like 9:10 when one of the other lawyers I was shadowing last week came by and she was like “....is he not here yet????” and I was like welp....nope haha and she was like “if he’s not here in 5 minutes text me” so I say okay because she’s kind of indirectly in charge of me (at this point kinda everyone is??) but like, I don’t wanna be a snitch, and I don’t want this guy to think I sold him out and got him in trouble, so I let 9:15 go and I was like come on dude come on, let me get credit for not snitching lol but it was going on 9:30 and the other lawyer had disappeared down a hallway that she would have to pass by me again to leave and I was concerned that she would walk out and see me sitting there without him and clearly not having texted her and being like “wtf” so by 9:30 I did text her, and I’m not sure what she did, but he finally showed up at like 10 am. and like, from one perspective that sounds really lazy and irresponsible, but I also know that like, my dad does that shit all the time lol because he can, the judges will wait for him to get there because he has a great relationship with pretty much all of them, so I can’t really judge too harshly. We had a lot of cases up though, so we were running back and forth between courtrooms and drafting orders and getting them approved then running to another courtroom and on and on. the end got a bit interesting when we walked in on a case where the judge was asking this plaintiff like “are you represented by (our law firm)?” and she was like yes and the judge was like, PISSED about us apparently missing the call, so we go outside with this person and tried to figure out what was going on while still juggling like three other cases going on in that courtroom, but what we more or less found was that we have no record of this person ever being a client and it seemed like they were a bit mentally.....off. and basically she had stepped up on a case that wasn’t hers accidentally that was a case we were on but not with her. so that was an odd little mix up but we figured it out. Walked back to the office, and once I got there I spent a while locating some files I was asked to scan in for someone which was confusing because they were described as “Davidson, etc” and I shit you not, there were two different stacks of 3 or 4 folders that both had two entirely separate cases with “Davidson” in the name, so I had to do a bit of figuring out to see what was right there. I also ended up calling the help line for this weird oil spill project I got placed on, and I got like accidentally bumped to a survey before actually talking to somebody like twice and each time I had to call they had an exceedingly long message to even get to talk to someone, so I was getting annoyed, and we only have the conference call style phone since it’s a conference room, so like everybody is subjected to hearing the conversation. But I finally got through to them and then had to go find the letters that had been sent and read them off to them and then basically got told they were ineligible for more money but since we were lawyers we probably wanted to appeal that (I don’t actually think we are going to though) then when I got off the phone and emailed the guy who put me on this assignment he was like “okay but what about the business we represent that didn’t get a letter” and I had to be like “without a letter they wouldn’t tell me jack shit” (I didn’t say jack shit obviously) so I’m not sure how that’s going to pan out, but we’ll see. I was supposed to sit in on a deposition at 1 but it ended up getting cancelled, so at 1 I decided to walk over to the whole foods a few blocks away, and while walking there I was totally engrossed in my phone doing some stuff for the DCTV podcast website that I straight up walked right past it, and was like wow I’m literally being such a millennial hipster stereotype right now lol. But I got there, and outside there was a man (I don’t like categorizing people by they status that they might be homeless, but he was panhandling) and he was asking for money, but of course I don’t have any because my wallet just got stolen, but I told him I was gonna go inside and eat and I would bring him out something if he wanted, so he said yes and asked for anything barbecue, so I agreed and went inside. Did my salad first and ate that, then went back to the hot food display and got some of what looked to be the closest to barbecue, something salisbury like, but upon further reflection I think it might’ve been like, salisbury tofu?? so I hope that still tasted okay and edible and I didn’t just waste $14 on a thing full of tofu that tasted like trash. so lesson there to be more aware of these things I suppose lol. I went back to the office and pretty much had something stopping me from doing any of the things I was assigned to, mostly like I hadn’t heard back from the person I was doing it for and couldn’t move on until I heard from them. So I tried to look up the info about the health insurance regarding if they had any of my doctors in their network plan, but it refused to load on me so I got stuck doing nothing for a while. After a bit I got called downstairs to go over making the court schedule because that’s gonna be my responsibility from now on, so I went over it with the lawyer who had been doing it and typed it up, so that’s good to know. I didn’t really do all that much for the rest of the day because I just didn’t really have anything to do.  There was a bit of a celebration because one of the lawyers had just tried a parking lot slip and fall case that was apparently kinda iffy on causation (like it wasn’t totally clear that it was actually the business’ fault) and because of that the insurance company wouldn’t even make an offer to settle because (presumably) they thought it was crap, but this afternoon the jury returned a verdict for our client to the tune of $212K, which for a slip and fall case is a HELL of a lot of money, so everyone was very excited about that. Towards the end of the day one of the other new lawyers and I sorted through the folders (such exciting lawyer projects, I know) to separate them into piles for the lawyers morning court call. After that I headed home, normal trip back, I’ve kind of developed this habit of flopping down on my bed for a while after getting home from work and of course kitty wants all the love and attention after being alone all day, so she’s always climbing all over me. So I stayed like that for a bit before getting up and making some food, and then turning on an episode of Friday Night Lights. After I had watched that I decided I was going to take on one of the recipes I had been wanting to make and had had up in my browser for a few days, these were titled “fluffy golden oreo funfetti rice krispie treats” and are basically like, pure happiness in food form lol. of course I’m super obnoxious about how I make my rice krispie treats because I have Standards™ so I had to like, cut some of the jumbo marshmallows I had into quarters so they'd melt more evenly with the mini marshmallows, and then of course had them melt super slowly so the texture would be good. so yeah, that was a bit of a process, but I think it came out pretty well. by the time I finished with this it was like 9:24 pm and I didn’t want to watch a full episode of something before going to bed so I ended up watching like half an episode of a series of unfortunate events, which I think was the last episode of their current season. And after that I started getting ready for bed and am now here. And that was pretty much my day. It’s later than the other nights I’ve been getting to sleep this week so I’m not gonna delay my sleep any further and end this post here. Goodnight babes. Stay classy.

Yamaguchi is an up and coming fashion designer. Who has a terrible luck when it comes to important moments in his career. Or is it, really, when a famous model is charmed by his designs?

We came up with this idea a long, long time ago with @kathwolfie​. It all started when it came out that Kosaka Ryotaro, Tsukishima's actor from the stage, is an actual model (check this out). At the beginning there was also KageHina to be included but... well... yeah... I'm sorry. The idea was sitting in the drafts for a very, very long time but the belt scene (that Kath came up with, kudos to her for that) was always at the back of my mind. And I finally wrote it. Also - after I finished it, I came across this photoshoot of Uchiyama Kouki, Tsukishima's seiyuu. It has such a strong model!Tsukishima vibe for me. I really love Ucchi.

“Hi Yamaguchi, it’s me. Um… yeah, about that… I don’t have good news,” Hinata was pacing around the studio while talking with Yamaguchi on the phone. “No… it’s even worse. The photoshoot didn’t happen at all. Yeah, I’m sorry, really,” he bowed deeply, even though Yamaguchi couldn’t see him. “It’s the flu season here and a lot of people are sick. And the main model - “ Hinata started whispering, “ - that asshole actually ditched the job since it wasn’t anything big and he was feeling under the weather. I tried to arrange something but…” he fell silent for a while. “I’m sorry that I don’t have enough influence and couldn’t help you at all.”

“It’s you today?” someone entered the room. “You don’t need to take care of King?”

“Geh! Tsukishima!” Hinata jumped up, startled. “Sorry Yamaguchi, I have to go, I’ll call you later. And maybe we should go drinking next time. My treat. As an apology. Bye!” he hurriedly finished the phone call and glared at Tsukishima:

“I’m not happy to see you either. I had enough of assholes for today,” Hinata grumbled quietly. “Though I don’t really have to do much when I’m working with you, so whatever,” he sighed. “And Kageyama is on a break today.”

Tsukishima decided not to answer him, and looked around the room.

“Oh, this is actually nice,” he browsed the clothes prepared on one of the racks. “And looks comfortable.”

“Ah!” Hinata sprung towards him. “This is not for your photoshoot. It’s for the one that was scheduled to end before yours. Though it got cancelled in the end.”

“Canceled? Not rescheduled?” Tsukishima furrowed his brows, still looking at the clothes.

“Yeah.”

“Are the higher-ups blind? This is such a waste.”

“It’s because the projectant is kind of… unknown. And still a student. I was trying really hard to help Yamaguchi get this photoshoot but…”

“Yamaguchi? I don't think that I've heard this name before,” Tsukishima hummed quietly. “But it really is a waste.”

“You think so too? I can’t believe that I’m agreeing with you,” Hinata laughed lightly. “I tried to find a replacement for the model who cancelled on us last minute but no-one was free. And rescheduling is close to impossible.”

“I am free,” Tsukishima said suddenly.

“HUH?!” Hinata gaped at him.

“This is my last job for today. And if it’s about the photographer then, if you can’t find anyone available, you can try asking Ennoshita-san. I'm supposed to meet with him in the evening. So he’s definitely free. I don't know if he agrees, though.”

“Are you for real? Are you Tsukishima? Are you really Tsukishima?”

“Um… Hinata, why am I needed here?” Yamaguchi was nervously looking around the studio. “You said that the photoshoot was cancelled, right?”

“Actually… It isn’t!” Hinata beamed happily at his friend.

“Eh?!”

“Yeah! And you won’t believe who’s gonna be the main model!” he winked.

“Who?”

“Tsukishima,” Hinata snickered.

“No way! Such a famous model? How?!”

“I can't believe it myself but it was him who-”

“Hello!” someone interrupted Hinata.

“Ennoshita-san! Thank you very much for coming!” Hinata bowed deeply.

“No problem, I was free anyway. And we can still go and grab some drinks afterwards with Tsukishima, so it fine. And it’s rare to see him so interested in something so I got intrigued myself,” Ennoshita winked at Tsukishima.

“Let’s get it done already,” the blond grumbled, somehow embarrassed. He himself wasn’t sure why he was so insistent on this photoshoot. He wouldn’t really gain anything from it but he wanted to do it anyway. “Get your ass to work,” he said sharply to Yamaguchi.

“Eh? Um… what should I do?”

“Huh? Are you stupid or what? Get changed of course.”

“EH?! No-no-no-no-no,” Yamaguchi started waving his hands wildly. “Hinata, you haven't said anything about it!”

“I’m sorry? There wasn't enough time,” Hinata smiled sheepishly. “I couldn’t find anyone who would be available and could be the second model. You’re tall yourself so it works fine? I would have helped myself but with my height it’s…” he fell quiet for a moment. “And it’s Tsukishima who’ll be the focus of the pics so whatever.”

“I’m not a model!” Yamaguchi whined. “I don’t have the looks. Being tall isn’t enough!”

“Yamaguchi, you’re overreacting,” Hinata tried to calm him down.

“I’m what?!” to everyone’s surprise, Yamaguchi exploded. “You do know what I came throu-”

“Shut up,” Tsukishima cut him off sharply and stomped towards him. “I’m not getting paid my usual for this and you’re starting to waste my time,” his voice was calm but very cold and he was glaring daggers at Yamaguchi.

“I’m… I’m sorry,” Yamaguchi started to literally shake and Tsukishima noticed tears gathering in the corners of his eyes. “I just…” his reaction taken Tsukishima aback.

“You don’t have to worry,” Tsukishima softened his voice slightly, feeling awkward. “You won’t be the focus of attention here.”

“Yeah, Yamaguchi, really. Do you need some time to calm down? We can use the studio for around two hours. Tsukishima can start with Ennoshita-san and we will leave the photos with you for the end, ok?” Hinata patted Yamaguchi’s back.

“I’m sorry, Hinata,” he said quietly, taking deep breaths. “It’s just my stupid anx-”

“It’s fine, it’s fine,” Hinata interrupted him. “You don’t have to say anything. I know,” he smiled reassuringly. “I was insensitive, throwing it all on you so suddenly. I should have explained everything to you earlier.”

“I’m sorry,” Yamaguchi repeated.

“There's nothing to be sorry about,” Hinata winked. “Let’s get to work!” he clapped his hands.

“Is he going to be fine?” Ennoshita asked, concerned.

“Yeah, don’t worry. He just needs few minutes to calm down. The whole thing was mostly my fault,” Hinata sighed. “And then Tsukishima scared him, I’m sure his life flashed in front of his eyes.”

“I’m not that scary,” Tsukishima glared at Hinata.

“Yeah, unless someone was severely bullied and- AH!” Hinata slapped a hand over his mouth. “I shouldn't have said that,” he muttered. “You can be fucking menacing, though. Sometimes even more than Kageyama,” Hinata stuck his tongue out at Tsukishima. “Anyway, let’s get it over with!”

The atmosphere remained slightly strained for the rest of the time but, despite that, the photoshoot proceeded quite good. Even Yamaguchi, extremely tense at the beginning, relaxed later. When everything was over, he thanked Ennoshita for agreeing to take photos during his free time.

“No problem, really. Tsukishima was right, your clothes are really good, it would be a shame to waste this opportunity. Hinata talked everything over with the higher-ups so it’s not like we’re just playing around,” he winked. “Tsukishima, I’m going already, I will wait for you in the car,” Ennoshita waved his hand at the three of them and left.

“Um…” Yamaguchi approached Tsukishima, who was getting ready to leave too. “Thank you for everything,” he bowed deeply. “I don’t know what exactly happened behind the scenes but I understand that everything was possible thanks to you so I am very grateful.”

“It’s fine,” Tsukishima got embarrassed by Yamaguchi’s words. “And also, I’m sorry,” he added quietly.

“Eh?”

“For sort of snapping at you,” he fumbled with his fingers, feeling guilty. “It wasn’t weird to get anxious in your situation. And you did good for an amateur who was so panicked just moments before,” there was a small smile on the blond’s face.

“Thank you,” Yamaguchi smiled brightly at Tsukishima, surprising him. Somehow, the blond didn't want for it to end like this.

“If you - “ Tsukishima started rummaging in his bag, “ - if you ever need help again, you can call me,” he scribbled something on the back of his business card. “This is my private number, so you won’t have to go through the agency,” he handed the card to Yamaguchi and quickly turned towards Hinata. “I’m leaving too, don’t forget to lock up and all.”

“Yeah, yeah, go away, whatever,” Hinata shrugged and only then looked at Tsukishima. “Eh? Why is your face so red?” he asked, tilting his head to the side.

“It’s not,” Tsukishima cut him off sharply and left.

“What should I do?” Yamaguchi sighed helplessly and flopped face first onto his bed. “I don’t have anyone else to ask, Kageyama was my last resort. And he’s busy,” he punched his pillow. “Why do I always have so many problems when it comes to important turning points in my career?” he whined, rolling onto his back. “It was the same with that photoshoot…”

Yamaguchi was lying in silence, staring at the ceiling. After few minutes, he suddenly sat up.

“Tsukishima…” he whispered and jumped up from his bed to look for the business card that Tsukishima gave him some time ago. “There it is!” he exclaimed happily and dialed the number immediately, not even thinking about what he was doing.

“Yes?” Yamaguchi froze when he heard Tsukishima’s voice over the phone. Suddenly, he realised what a stupid thing he did.

“Ah, um…” he wasn’t sure how to start. “I’m Yamaguchi, I don’t know if you remember me but-”

“I do remember,” Tsukishima interrupted him. “We met a month or so ago and did a photoshoot with the clothes you designed,” he reassured Yamaguchi.

“Yes! Once again, thank you for your help. And… um… About that...” Yamaguchi fell quiet.

“Yeah?”

“I need help again,” Yamaguchi was angry at himself for acting faster than thinking. He felt ashamed for doing it like this. “I’m in a serious pinch and I tried a lot of people but… Then I remembered that you offered to help and even gave me your number. So I thought that maybe… maybe it wasn’t just out of courtesy and all. Since I’m no-one important and you still gave me your number and… and… I don’t know… I’m sorry for bothering you,” he sounded helpless.

“I’m busy at the moment but I should be free in two hours. So, if that’s ok with you, we could meet and talk about it in person sometime later today.”

“Eh? Really? I can meet, yeah, of course, whenever and wherever you want!”

“Do you know the coffee shop-”

Yamaguchi was sitting at the cafe where he was supposed to meet with Tsukishima. He was nervously glancing at the clock every few seconds. He arrived more than half an hour earlier than he should. He didn’t want to make Tsukishima wait for him but the anticipation was also taking it’s toll on him.

“What if he doesn’t show up?” Yamaguchi whispered to himself. “I’ve made a fool out of myself. There’s no way that he comes…” he felt pathetic. “I’m really not cut for this line of work,” he sighed and looked at the sketchbook that was peeking out of his bag. He reached for it and slowly turned the pages, full of his drawings.

Small smile appeared on Yamaguchi’s face when he saw a blank page. He grabbed a pencil and started drawing. Designing clothes always calmed him down and he was often losing track of the time. He jumped up, startled, when Tsukishima sat by his table:

“Sorry for making you wait.”

“No, no problem, really. It's me who should be sorry for asking for your time while you’re busy. Thank you for agreeing to meet me,” Yamaguchi bowed his head.

“What happened?”

“Ah, yeah… um… I’m sorry, really, I wasn’t thinking before I called you,” Yamaguchi smiled sheepishly.

“If I thought you were a bother then I wouldn’t have agreed to meet. Hell, I even wouldn’t have given you my number,” Tsukishima scowled at him. “So what happened? What’s the problem?”

“I need someone to be a model for a contest-show at my school. My friend was supposed to walk for me but he broke his leg yesterday. I seriously don’t know why I have such a shitty luck…” he hung his head. “The date is terrible too... A lot of people have other plans and everyone who was free is already helping someone else. And it's also a last minute thing now. I even considered doing it myself but it’s against the rules. Hinata is willing to help, despite being busy, but he's too short. His height doesn't fit the idea I have for the contest and I wouldn't manage to make adjustments to everything in time.”

“First of all - when is the show? And then - what’s the theme or concept?” Tsukishima asked.

“Valentine's Day,” Yamaguchi answered quietly.

“Terrible date, indeed. And the concept?”

“It’s very cliche - love and dates. I wanted to play around with the height differences. Ah, because we have to make matching outfits for a couple. Hitoka-chan is a very petite girl and I wanted for her to walk with a much taller guy.”

“Fourteenth February, you say?” Tsukishima hummed and looked at his phone. “It’s in two weeks, falls on Saturday and I’m - ” he paused, examining his schedule, “ - free,” he added and looked at Yamaguchi. “Or rather, now I have a contest-show at… What school are you attending?”

Yamaguchi still couldn’t believe what was happening. Even though he was just an unknown rookie, he got to work with a famous model not once but twice. Right now they were preparing for the contest that was starting soon. Tsukishima already changed and they were doing the finishing touches.

“Yamaguchi… the belt is too loose,” Tsukishima frowned.

“Or maybe too heavy. Though the effect is the same,” Yamaguchi sighed. “Let me see what I could do about it now,” Yamaguchi crouched in front of Tsukishima and stared at the belt buckle. “I think that I can tighten it. Somehow. Just lean back against the table, it would be easier for me then,” Yamaguchi was in full work mode, so he didn’t realise the awkwardness of their pose. Of which Tsukishima was aware slightly too much.

“What the fuck, why is this affecting me so much? Why do I even care about this guy?” Tsukishima thought. “Why do I wanna pet his head so much now? And more? Fuck, Kei, get a hold of yourself, really. It’s not a first time that someone is fumbling around with your belt. This is a job for fuck’s sake,” he closed his eyes. Though it was a rather bad move as his imagination ran even wilder then.

“Ok, should be fine now,” Yamaguchi exclaimed and looked up at Tsukishima. Only after their eyes met and Yamaguchi noticed a slight blush on the blond’s face, he realised their position. Before any of them had a chance to say anything, the door flung open and someone stormed inside the room:

“I am terribly sorry for being late, Tadashi-kun!” Yachi was breathing heavily, her cheeks flushed red. It was obvious that she ran. “The train got delayed and the crowd-” she stopped mid-sentence, noticing Yamaguchi crouching in front of Tsukishima, his hands near his crotch. “I am so sorry for interrupting,” she gasped and run out of the room.

“Hitoka-chan! Wait!” flustered Yamaguchi followed her, leaving, definitely not composed, Tsukishima alone.

“Correct me if I’m wrong, but… you looked rather relieved when it came out that you got the second, not first, place,” Tsukishima said to Yamaguchi when the contest ended and Yachi left the two of them alone, hurrying for her date.

“Was it really showing?”

“A bit, I guess,” Tsukishima shrugged. He couldn’t say that he noticed it only because he was intensely observing Yamaguchi the whole time.

“To tell the truth… I was relieved. Because… I want to win by myself.”

“By yourself?”

“Yeah. You know, just the fact that you came caused some sort of an uproar. Since you are well known. And I was sure that if I, if we, won, then people would say that it was a given, that - well, yeah, Yamaguchi had the famous Tsukishima as one of his models, no wonder he won. And all that shit,” Yamaguchi sighed. “Ah, though I am really grateful that you helped me again. You saved me,” he smiled brightly at Tsukishima.

“You should have more confidence. My position in this industry is different than yours but I do know that it’s hard at the beginning. You have the talent, your designs are great. It’s going to be fine. Just believe in yourself,” Tsukishima said, making Yamaguchi blush.

“Thank you. Um… I want to thank you somehow. For your help. What can I do?”

“Dinner,” Tsukishima answered immediately.

“Only dinner?”

“No, rather... A date,” Tsukishima corrected himself.

“A… date?” Yamaguchi repeated, confused.

“Or two. Maybe seven. An indefinite number would be good too,” Tsukishima was fumbling with his fingers.

“Eh?” Yamaguchi got flustered.

“I mean… I want to know you better,” the blond blushed. “I haven’t been interested in anyone like this in a long time, so...”

“Just to be sure… in a friends way, right?”

“Not exactly,” Tsukishima answered, not looking at Yamaguchi. “So if you don’t want to, then…” he added.

“It’s… it’s fine. A date is fine. We can go on a date. Or two. Maybe more,” Yamaguchi said quietly, his face bright red. He wondered if his shitty luck wasn’t exactly that bad.

My car insurance company recently cancelled my policy due to unpaid direct debit. Here is what happened. My direct debit didn't get paid on the 8th Jan 2013 due to my bank refusing as I didn't have enough funds. 3 days later I recieved a letter through the post stating they will try again in 7 days. 10 days later they tried again and it said that it successfuly went through. I am a 19 year old male university student in Ontario Canada. I live at home in the summer and only one hour from home during the school year for my studies. I would like to purchase my own car for everyday driving. However, I know that I would not be able to afford the ridiculous insurance there is for a male driver that is under 25 and listed as the primary driver. I have heard of ways to get around this, such as getting listed as a secondary driver and having my dad as the primary driver and just me as a temporary driver. Doing this is kind of lying, as I would be having the car all the time in the school year and then bring it home with me when I work at home. I don't think it would matter though, I doubt it is risky that if I did need a claim they would investigate how much I had the car... But what my dad seems to think is that he can only have a certain amount of cars listed as him as primary. My mom and dad live together and together own a 1994 Intrepid, 2003 Cadillac CTS and a 1988 Corvette (that is insured for only 5 months a year, stored in the winter). I am only insured as a temporary driver on the Intrepid as it is too expensive for anything else. I also have a 21 year old sister who is in the same situation (lives at home for 4 months a year) but she has just bought her own car and is her own primary driver. So I don't think that should affect me at all, it is cheap enough for a female to get primary insurance at this age. So now I want to buy a sports car. I am 100% sure I want to buy a car that is not common, its just something I am stubborn about and so I know that insurance will be more this way. Specifically I was looking at an Audi tt, BMW 300 series, Mitsubishi Eclipse or a Mustang... I also found a great deal on a '99 Porsche Boxster that a seller has that is way underpriced and I'd love to buy it (first choice). My question is, can I claim that my dad is really the owner of the Porsche (or other car) and say that I am a temporary driver, and then have me drive it all the time and take it back and forth to school, etc, knowing my parents together already have 2 vehicles and 1 summer vehicle. I would take myself off of the temporary insurance on the Intrepid. My dad seems to think that an insurance company will not allow them to be primary drivers on 3 vehicles and 1 summer vehicle while having dependant children... I saw him this morning at the station and I was waiting for MT because her myki wasn’t working for some reason and he was on the same train as me but on a different carriage. Basically I was standing at MC and he saw MT said hi to her and then he saw me - looked and looked away then looked again because he realized it was me and he took his ear phones out like oh hey what are you doing? I go I’m waiting for MT and then he goes oh ok well I’m gonna go grab a coffee and started walking off and I was like lol k cya

During first break MT and I decided to go for a walk around the centre and we were just having a chat because she has a boyfriend of 10 years and she went to dinner with JH (strictly as mates) she was telling me about it and whatever and then I kinda opened up to her about me and G and she was like omg seriously whenever you’re not together all he does is talk about you.. you guys just need to get together already seriously.. I just laughed and I was like yeah but the ball is in his court, it shouldn’t be up to me to do something about it? She agreed with me because she also thinks it should be the guy who should make the move....

So I didn’t see him all day until around 12:30 he came over to my team area and he was talking to SH and MD and because I had just gotten off the phone I like looked up and turned and I was like ooh who’s this cute guy in my area and then I realized it was him lol I was like oh.. it’s you... cutie.. lol

So he doesn’t say anything to me whilst in my team area he just walks off and I’m like yeah ok so I called MT when I went for lunch and she was like oh I’m on swanston with the others and she wasn’t with G, so then I called G and he didn’t answer.

Then he starts calling me and I’m like hey where are you? He goes just on level 5 are you coming? I’m like yeah I’ll come, he goes hurry up I’ve only got 20 minutes left.

I messaged MT to meet me on level 5 because we had planned to meet at QV square.

I walked down to level 5′s outdoor area and sat down and he was sitting ont he couches. I went to sit on the bench and he came over and sat across from me. He goes how are you? i’m like good you? he goes yeah good, I feel like I haven’t seen you in ages.. I’m like really? He goes yeah it’s been like 2 days.. I was thinking to myself oh well look who’s fucking counting..

So he tells me what happened at the dentist and his cancellation with the customer and how he managed to save it and whatever and MT finally came we were bantering and I apparently went to stick up for MT because he was giving her shit about going for dinner with JH and he was being a dick to her so I like made a comment about something and he goes babe this is a convo between me and MT not you and I go wtf.. he goes babe shhhhhhhh.. I’m like whatever seriously.

MT then told me that her and G had a convo last night and he goes what are we doing friday? MT was like I’m busy and T is in Sydney.

So that’s who reminded him I was in Sydney so as that was brought up at lunch MT goes so what are you gonna do since you don’t have us and he goes I’m gonna go see a girl.

1. He either only see’s you as a friend and that’s it - which I don’t think is the case because he said you shouldn’t lose too much weight and a guy who is not into you would not say that because I know why he said that (Here i’m thinking is he saying that because he doesn’t want other guys to be all over me orrrr)

2. You’re a high quality girl, he see’s you as someone who he wants to be with, these “bitches” that he is talking about, he doesn’t have that same respect for. He respects you, you probably intimidate him because you’re older and you’re not just some hoe.

The baker is getting frustrated with me because I won’t act on the sitch and I’m like I just can’t and he just really made good points about how I have everything to gain and nothing to lose.

I mean I do agree with him to some degree but at the same time I don’t I just feel like these things can take time but he just said to me you’re fucking yourself over like all you’re doing is making it harder for yourself for no reason. The difference though between the baker and I is that he will not wait for anything he will just go in for the kill and I’m just not that type of girl.

So comes end of day, he walks past me and smiles and I gave him a forced fake smile and then we end up walking past each other again and I just didn’t look at him and he comes over to my desk and he goes so are we leaving now or? I go yeah and then when we get downstairs he goes to me what’s wrong you don’t seem to happy to be walking with me? We’re almost near his car and I don’t remember exactly what was said prior to him saying this but I had made a comment about the reason W is being like this is because he is young and he doesn’t know what he wants and he goes I’m fucking younger than him and even I’m like this cunt is fucking her around.

He goes it’s like me, kicking it with a 26 year old girl and sending her mixed signals and then I go to europe come back and I’m like ok sweet let’s do this.. I wouldn’t do that - or something along those lines.
