i actually don’t think Aeryn begs. he has no problem saying please, but only once. despite his generally uhh. Malleable nature he would rather just be punished than to beg, especially because he knows Gortash would 1) never indulge him, and 2) lose a significant amount of respect for him.

what he does say a lot, which works as a good middle ground for both of them, is thank you. stroking Gort’s delusions about how “giving” he is.
