w4d1 again, a slow one this time. Running in corona virus central! The park was a little crowded cause it was a beautiful day! My favorite part was seeing the basketball players passing around the hand sanitizer. I work at Starbucks and as of today we are grab and go only, which is pretty bizarre. No one can sit in the cafe, so it’s really quiet. The drive thru was pretty hoppin though! We are all a little worried that it’s gonna go to full quarantine soon, I hope not. I’m being irresponsible and going to the mall tomorrow to pick up some dresses I ordered from Old Navy and one of my friends needs to return a few things I think. We’ll see if it’s even open by the time we plan to go. Stay safe and healthy everyone!

FMLS90 - 10/27 - Positivity
Prompt: Spend a little time reflecting on your current level of positivity. Is your current approach serving you well? What are some ways your could improve our outlook on things?
Well lets just say positivity and I are not well acquainted. That is not to say I don’t try to have positive outlooks or that I want to have them. It is that I have always had a pessimistic or realist outlook on most things, Unfortunately that means that I don’t always get to be happy for long, not saying i am never happy just that it does not stick around for long.
I want to change this, and am currently trying to counter every negative through with a more positive spin, not unrealistic spin just more positive. Unfortunately it will not be a quick fix as with anything that is mental based it will take time and effort to correct these thoughts.
For example I chose to become unemployed to help my mental health 3 months ago, luck has not turned out to be on my side right now and negative thoughts have been winning as of late but I’m working to be okay with this and continue to move forward. Rather than dwell on the fact that I have done dozens upon dozens of applications, only gotten a handful of interviews and many thanks for  applying but we are not moving forward with you, best of luck. I am trying to look on the positive, 7 years ago when I first started applying after college I was getting zero response not even rejection letters after hundreds of applications and 18 months, I had 3 interviews total. I have already surpassed that so I’m winning right?
I know I may never be the always happy always smiling person and I am okay with that, If I can minimize the length and times i succumb to the negative thoughts and improve how long I can stay happy when I am, I am okay with that.

It’s 16 weeks with a health coach and activities to accomplish followed by 8 months of less intensive interactions. I lost 2 pounds this week. Goal 1. Lose ten pounds. Goal 2. Improved lab results. Goal 3. Repeat 1 & 2. Goal 4. So I was looking back through the last time I did c25k and I was showing my data from my runs, so here we go! Though, it’s definitely not accurate, cause my Garmin had me at about 2 minutes slower on average pace... so I was probably more like a 16 minute running pace. Whatever. I guess I should be showing the Garmin info as well. I’ll figure it out eventually, probably by the time I'm done with c25k. Anyway, w4d1 done! This was the hardest one so far for sure. My mom went to the park with me and brought Luna, so she wasn’t my excuse for slowing me down. She did FREAK OUT every time I got close to them, she cried cries I’ve never heard before. So I tried to take her with me, but she just kept jumping and pulling on the leash, so back to mom she went. She sure is cute though! I definitely think I’m going to have to redo this week before moving on to week 5. I know it’s only day 1 of this week, but I can just tell. I probably should have redone week 3 since I had Luna 2 out of 3 days. But I definitely CAN run for 5 minutes at a time. Just very very slowly. I wish I knew the info from the first time I did the c25k so I could compare!

I was awake at 330 am and finally made coffee at 444.
Still on vacation time zone apparently.
But I got to the gym and managed W4D1 with no problems; which surprised me since I hadn't run in like 3 weeks.
Now it's time to get caught up on the work I missed this week.
