I got out from under my weighted blanket and went for a run. Still a run and walk, but I pushed harder in the first mile then decided to just hang in there until I hit a half an hour then I could go home. It was cold. It was sprinkling (though not fully raining thankfully.) I don’t know why I only remember that I was going to start c25k when I’m already half way through a run. I hope everyone is having a fantastic Christmas day! It definitely looks a little different this year. We video chatted with my brothers today and watched a live stream of church last night. I still got out and got a little run in today with Luna! She stopped and sniffed a ton, but didn’t jump up on me while I ran, which is an improvement, lol. My favorite gift from the day is a weighted blanket which I’ve been asking for! Lunas favorite gift was a rubber chicken that she got in her stocking. Have a very merry Christmas!!!!

GUYS!!!!! I am so excited right now! Ok just RAN a 5k! RAAAN! As in NO stopping to walk! I had no idea I could do that! Sure, i was jogging at a snails pace and moms with strollers could probably lap me, but stiiiiiill!!! I also got negative freaking splits! I am so pumped and so ready to work on getting faster! And going further! Half marathon I’m coming back for you!

Last one for the night! Got a #treadmill workout in! For some reason walking on my treadmill is WAY harder than outside. I am #SWEATY I did jog a little bit at one point, but mostly just walked. I did 2 walks yesterday! Yay! Except that I totally ate it near the end of my second walk. I tripped in a pothole and fell flat on my face. I got scraped up pretty good. my hand hurts the worst, I was bleeding so I put a bandage on before taking the picture. I’m laying low today. This is the first day in at least 2 weeks that I haven’t gone on a walk or done some sort of workout. But I’m just feeling pretty banged up, so I’m giving myself permission to take a day off.

I’ve been looking back at old pictures of myself and not loving the way I look now in comparison to them. I realized though that part of the difference wasn’t the weight, but the effort. I miss wearing makeup to work (which I don’t do at my current job) and putting a little effort into my look in general, so I put on some makeup, put on a new cute shirt, and did a mini selfie photo shoot!

Today’s run was cooooold. I mean, for me, it’s like 43 out. I also jogged a lot more than I have been (very slowly mind you) so I was able to get my 5k under an hour! We’ll get back to under 45 minutes eventually.

This is the last of my pile of 5ks I had to do, so from now until February I'll have to do 5ks for NOTHING. February I'll be doing the Disney Princess 5k virtually! I met my first weight goal!
Yaaaay! My first weight goal, set in October 2019 was 280 and today I’m 279.8! The next weight goal will be 260 which was the lowest I weighed before I lost a ton of weight... that makes no sense. But before I hit 230, 260 was the lowest I'd been in previous weight loss attempts. So that’s my next goal. After that it’ll be 250, then 230, then who knows! I’m gonna do it this time! 
The most important thing though is my health and blood sugar. I had some fruitcake last night and my blood sugar spiked super high and I ended up throwing up in the middle of the night. I’ve definitely connected my nausea and vomiting to high blood sugar. So I need to be more careful. I’ve been really worried since my blood sugar just doesn't seem to be going down as fast as I would like, but I’m still eating a LITTLE sugar. So maybe I need to cut it out completely for a while and see what happens. I do have an endocrinologist appointment for just after Christmas and we’ll see what they say. Then I have an appointment with my diabetes counselor after that. Hopefully I can figure it out and get it all in check.

Yesterday I did another 5k! This time it was rundisney’s virtual series, the haunted mansion! Yay! The medal is super cool, it’s madame Leota! Today I went for a walk with my mom and Luna! Keeping up that exercise life! I’m 0.1 pounds away from the weight loss goal I made LAST October, as in October 2019, I'm so eager to update that goal! Right now I’m sitting at 280.1, just over 20 pounds less than I was this time last year. And the lowest I’ve been since April of 2018, so that’s cool! Working on getting back to my weight in 2016, and I’m gonna go past it and not just binge and gain all the weight back again! I’m excited and impatient. I still have about 50 pounds to go til I reach that lowest weight, so I'm hoping maybe by the end of next year? I guess we’ll find out!

I don’t know why my picture is sideways, oh well! Did another 5k today! This time it’s one from 2019 that I never got around to doing. Yesterday I did go on a walk, but it was only about a mile and a half. I wasn’t feeling my best, so I put off doing another 5k to today. I think I have 2 more 5ks left to do and then a 10 miler which won’t be done for a loooong time unless I break it up, but I kind of want to just save it for until I get back to doing super long distances again. We’ll see!
