Thinking about how Minkowski's crew was formed in response to Lovelace's crew. How there were a lot of talented people on Lovelace's crew that formed a miracle plan to escape, so Minkowski got less than half the manpower. How Rhea was a problem for Hilbert, so Hera had an override protocol that he could use any time. How most of Lovelace's crew were friendly, so they made sure that Eiffel and Minkowski wouldn't be, and therefore be worse off in a crisis. Just. Gah.
I love how nearly nothing goes right for the wolf 359 characters. There was a sentient plant in the walls (then later blown up). One of them is an unwilling and deeply unethical science experiment. Their doctor is not only a malpracticioner but also has a body count of at least five and very likely more. Things blow up all the time. The star turned from red to blue one day and the same guy who was being experimented on previously is sent into the void of space, strategically and intermittently putting himself into cryosleep to survive. He then loses his hair, fingernails, and over half his body weight before being picked up by people who are arguably worse than Mr Medical Malpractice, but infinitely more entertaining. Their captain is always in a state of “I’m about to pull my hair out and rip you all apart”. And that’s prior to the woman who was stowed away on the vessel in which she was the previous captain of for two fucking years before being woken up from her cryosleep chamber on accident. And all of her previous crew were killed by hate crimes md over here. Doctor/scientist is also likely bald.
variations on a theme but the theme sucks and youre a prisoner in space and everything is trying to kill you and you were alone for so long but youre back and alive but everything is worse and you have to just sit here and and and
