Something about Jacobi’s clone in “time to kill” really messes me up. Because, like, after you listen to the episode where you find out that Lovelace isn’t the original Lovelace, we also find out that the clones don’t actually know that they aren’t the original person. The Jacobi clone was completely convinced that he was the original, so when the others left him outside, his last thought was probably that his friends had just made the worst possible mistake they could have made in that situation, that they had left him, the real Jacobi, to die and now they’re all in danger because there is something else that isn’t him on the ship with them. He died thinking that theres this thing that’s taking his place. This is the worse case scenario and there was nothing he could do about it. On the other hand, the real Jacobi, (assuming that the real Jacobi was the one inside the ship the whole time), had to listen to himself die. And i bet that after he finds out about how Lovelace is an alien, he thinks to himself, what if he isn’t the real Jacobi, that the real Jacobi died when they left him outside, and that he is the alien and just doesn’t know it. Because how could he know that? Lovelace didn’t, and he would never have any solid proof that he doesn’t know either. I bet it drives him a bit crazy, if he constantly has that thought going through his head.

I dont know. I think about this quite often.

Hold on lemme explain. my headcannon is hes like:

yeah women are amazing they’re smart and talented and as good men. Honestly they’re probably more capable at doing things. That is why I believe that minkowski should be the one to go outside and fix the ship, she is WAY more capable than i have ever been. I will be eating chips and saying encouraging things from in here.

Ok yes I know I was *supposed* to do this but we all know that lovelace is a genius and if she took care of it she would do the job twice as well in half the time. So we all agree that lovelace should do it right? And everyone can just chill about the damn starcharts?

So yes I am supposed to know all of this yes but whenever I dont know it hera does an excellent job of telling me. Like shes got everything in that awesome mind of hers. Honestly if she had a body id probably be replaced I dont know what the hell I’m doing. My point is why do I need to know all of price and carter when hera can just tell me what to do. Like lead the way.

my point is he genuinely does believe in the intelligence and capabilities of women but as we all know eiffel can be really lazy and an incompetent insubordinate hyena, so hes just like you guys are all so smart and I dont know what I’m doing so how about you do the smart people stuff while I watch home alone 2 lost in new york.

why yes, I have been spending WAY too much of my time drawing zero-G gags because hey, it's an audio medium- I have to imagine the shenanigans they can get up too with no gravity myself. 90% is Minkowski throwing Eiffel cause I think she deserves it 😌

Thinking about how Minkowski's crew was formed in response to Lovelace's crew. How there were a lot of talented people on Lovelace's crew that formed a miracle plan to escape, so Minkowski got less than half the manpower. How Rhea was a problem for Hilbert, so Hera had an override protocol that he could use any time. How most of Lovelace's crew were friendly, so they made sure that Eiffel and Minkowski wouldn't be, and therefore be worse off in a crisis. Just. Gah.
