Do you have any photos of your full setup anywhere. Every time you post a picture of your room(?) I am amazed at how good your room(?) looks and how well what you've posted goes with everything around it

i have a few pics posted here and there but i can take full pics of my entire setup if you wanna see? ill do that during day time then when i have time and remember bc i rlly like the natural lighting more (i dont like dark places and im lucky my place has lots of good, natural light, it looks rlly nice then)

yeah so people write wukong and macaque as touch starved and yeah they totally are but i dont think that most people write about/convey how deeply they are touch starved. from my very limited research (so dont take this as gospel (i plan on doing more)) monkeys are always touching up on each other in social groups. its a primary method for bonding. now i think wukong is less touch starved than macaque since he's on flowerfruit mountain surrounded by other monkeys. they probably all groom him and he grooms them they play they have their social dynamics but its always from a place where hes the ruler of them all in the social heirarchy so they all kind of have to do that. monkey society rules. so he suffers from a different kind of touch starvation where hes kind of been bombarded with it by his monkeys but its not 100% genuine yk? he'll always have their affection b/c hes their king but idk...maybe he wants someone he sees as an equal to be affectionate with.

now macaque has suffered from extreme isolation for hundreds of years probably and we know from Research™ (a la that one (cruel) study where scientists separated baby monkeys from their mothers to See What Would Happen) that this has probably fucked him up really bad. not as much as it would have if he were an infant monkey but that kind of isolation is detrimental. like no wonder hes snappy, distant, suspicious of others. he doesnt know how to act in these new social situations. and hes lacked one of the IMPERATIVE ways monkeys keep their sanity. just constant touching and grooming of each other and SOCIALIZING. this boy would CLING to ANYONE who offered him even the tiniest hint of affection. hed BEG for it its so fucked up. at first i thought that maybe it wouldnt be w/in his character, but doing outside research has made me realize it may be even more in character for macaque to be touchy than wukong. i can see macaque becoming really distraught if someone rejected his quite frankly, need for affection. it could be so interesting. someone who he comes to expect to always provide affection just. saying no once and how hed probably snap over it.

not even like. in a romantic sense either. monkeys just like touching each other. honestly something churning in my head rn is wukong and macaque reconciliating and then taking turns grooming each other out of respect + generally being cuddly completely platonically. its enthralling actually. not to mention completely in line w/how ive been imagining macaque and wukong. these boys do NOT kiss its all nuzzling and cuddling and maybe playful biting. ive also been reading up on (macaque specific but ive read it can also apply to other species of monkey) monkey behavior in general and like. ough. them just cooing and chittering at each other having conversations while grooming or laying around. lip smacking at each other affectionately. ouuuuagh. their own special little language nobody else understands. i read that macaques are especially cuddly w/one another after a fight. so like. macaque and/or wukong have some sort of end of the world fight deal and one of them comes over to the other to seek comfort. god its everything. we havent even factored in mk who regularly displays this comfort after battle behavior w/wukong.

i also think that exploring how their instinctual monkey behavior has mixed w/the behavior that they have learned mortals find acceptable. b/c. there's plenty of monkey behaviors that would make mortals eyes pop out of their heads if wukong or macaque were to do them around them LOL

Further rambling

This was an idea I had after I read the recent chapter of Web of Truth, Kira’s Monster AU fic. Honestly the fact Makoto felt full and sleepy after just 2 pizza slices was both interesting and cute to me. So…what about a post Christmas sugar crash? And then this idea came up.

A Spider’s First Christmas

Short Story:

Yuma returns from a Christmas Eve party with his college friends, bringing home a platter of a variety of Christmas sweets leaving them on the kitchen counter for a later time since he already ate. As he goes to take a shower for about 20 minutes, brushes his teeth and changed into his wool pajamas and socks, he exits the bathroom and notices that someone else had eaten the entire platter.

Yuma nervously walks to his bedroom to find the culprit as a lump sleeping in his bed. Makoto is seen tucked in, a pair of his front arms sprawled on the bed while the other front pair gently rub his full stomach and various crumbs scattered on his face. He looked satisfied, like a predator who just cornered and devoured his prey. Except in this case, the prey was a plate of gingerbread cookies, candy canes, an entire loaf of fruitcake and a carton of eggnog.

Yuma is bewildered at first but then he gives a small smile. The sweet buffet was clearly a very heavy load, sending the spider-human hybrid into a very deep slumber. Likely his first ever sugar crash or food coma. He did have a much bigger appetite lately since trying various human foods. To Yuma’s surprise, the monster’s fangs retract, and a sweet and gentle smile is left on his face. He looked…oddly cute. Almost an innocent sleeping child waiting for the morning of Christmas to come. But he was clearly happy just to be warm, fed and sheltered from the cold outside. Yuma gives in and decides to sleep on the sofa for the night to not disturb his sleeping guest any further.

“…Merry Christmas Makoto.”

Tho my art style is too cutesy to draw this monster spider makoto again… And him having this many limbs is my worst nightmare since I already suck with proper body anatomy so I cheated by using the blanket to cover his other limbs lol I'm not good w drawing monsters...but I wasn't gonna dare try an android... x'D

𝙍𝙄𝙉𝙉𝙄. one of the things i wish tp did more with was the fairy queen , only getting to see her once makes me kinda sad but i like to think that even after his quest link felt she was lonely and would semi-frequently make the journey to go see her — even if sometimes all he did was sit in silence with her in the spring. could even kind of relate to the whole ‘you where born with the sole purpose of serving a higher power etcetc’ and while i don’t think the fairy queen/great fairy would feel the human emotional side of ‘not having the right to choose’ : i think link would see it from the perspective that ‘do gods/godlike beings get lonely too?’ ... @mielmoto as my pal in all things fairy... tagging u for reasons >.>

Faine got weirded out by Minfilia’s pitch (it felt like they were trying way too hard to get her to join) and was iffy on the whole thing going in anyway, so she rejected the offer on the spot. Thancred found her at the bar afterward and spent the whole night talking her around

ARR Faine was very much not interested in getting tied down by any organization and preferred to keep her freedom so it took a lot of convincing and assurances. And a lot of free drinks lol
